Lev Tahor, ultra-Orthodox Jewish sect, quietly moves to Guatemala-Of the 200 sect members, only half a dozen families remain in Chatham, Ont.CBC News Posted: Aug 23, 2014 2:03 PM ET Last Updated: Aug 23, 2014 2:13 PM ET

Members of the Lev Tahor ultra-Orthodox Jewish community, some of whom have been involved in a bitter custody battle with child protection services, began leaving Chatham, Ont., for Guatemala in March and have now been joined by most of their sect.

Most of the members of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish sect Lev Tahor have moved from Canada to Guatemala amid allegations of child abuse.Of the nearly 200 members of the sect, a half-dozen families remain in Chatham, Ont., where the group has been based since November 2013. The members left in Canada include some of those who have been involved in a custody dispute with the region's children's services authorities for several months.Radio-Canada's sources said the bulk of the families began leaving Canada one by one starting in June to join some of the members involved in the custody battle who had left for Guatemala in March. The sect picked up and moved to Chatham from Ste-Agathe-des-Monts, Que., last November after Quebec's youth protective services (known by its French acronym, the DPJ) initiated steps to remove 14 of the children. One of the children was a mother to a young child herself.Case workers at the DPJ's department in nearby St-Jérôme, Que., alleged that some of the children experienced physical punishment, had poor hygiene and were not being educated according to the province's curriculum. At Quebec's urging, Chatham-Kent Children's Services picked up where the DPJ left off.

Families left Canada in March

In February, an Ontario judge upheld a Quebec ruling that ordered the 13 children who were part of the original group involved in the dispute with DPJ but did not include the young mother to be surrendered to child welfare authorities. The sect appealed the decision. In March, 12 of the children involved in the custody dispute and six adults left Canada on two separate flights: one group of nine flying through Mexico City, and the other group of nine travelling through Trinidad and Tobago. The group travelling through Trinidad and Tobago were intercepted by immigration authorities and returned to Canada. The group travelling through Mexico City arrived safely in Guatemala, where they remain. The young mother and her child were stopped at the Calgary airport and returned to Ontario, as well.In April, Lev Tahor members won their appeal of the February ruling ordering the return of the children to Quebec.Representatives of Lev Tahor have always vigorously denied all allegations of child abuse.

GENESIS 6:11-13

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence (TERRORISM)(HAMAS) through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Subglacial Volcano Eruption Leads to Aviation Red Alert in Iceland-Aug 23, 2014, 2:20 PM ET
By GILLIAN MOHNEY-abcnews

An aviation red alert was issued by Iceland today after a volcano started to erupt with lava flowing under nearly 400 to 900 feet of ice.The Iceland police announced that the airspace immediately over the Bardarbunga volcano has been closed and the aviation alert was raised its highest level. The Bardarbunga volcano started erupting under the Dyngjujokull glacier in Iceland around 10:30 a.m. local time today. The Iceland Met Office said the lava eruption is currently small and has not broken through the glacier.Martin Hensch, volcano seismologist with the Icelandic Met Office, said small earthquakes have affected the area throughout the day. The largest was around 5.0 on the Richter scale. While the eruption is relatively small so far, Hensch said there's a chance it could grow and break through part of the glacier, causing a significant steam explosion."It's completely unpredictable at the moment," Hensch told ABC News. The unstable eruption has led government officials to evacuate the national park where the volcano is located. Nearby neighborhoods have been alerted that they might have to leave suddenly in the case the eruption melts enough ice that it causes a flood."The moment [lava] hits the ice it instantly melts it at high amounts. Then you get glacier outburst flooding and that's the concern regionally," Hensch said.News of the eruption has also worried aviation officials across the globe. The eruption of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in 2010 disrupted European air space for days, because the plume was so thick it was unsafe for planes to fly through it. More than 100,000 flights were canceled as a result of the eruption.Hensch said scientists do not know if this eruption would create a volcanic plume as large or as disruptive as the one in 2010.ABC News aviation expert John Nance said that after Eyjafjallajokull's eruption airlines and aviation authorities in Europe created a cooperative network of radar that could allow them to more effectively track volcanic plumes."The fact was before it caught everyone by surprise," said Nance. "Since then the European air traffic authority, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Iceland all of them have a cooperative structure and contingency plans for what to do."With the new radar networks, there's a chance that more airplanes could continue to fly during an eruption, as long as they can avoid the plumes, Nance said. The Associated Press contributed to this report.

STORMS HURRICANES-TORNADOES

LUKE 21:25-26
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity;(MASS CONFUSION) the sea and the waves roaring;(FIERCE WINDS)
26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear,(TORNADOES,HURRICANES,STORMS) and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:(DESTRUCTION) for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.(FROM QUAKES,NUKES ETC)

THE FIRST JUDGEMENT OF THE EARTH STARTED WITH WATER-IT ONLY MAKES SENSE THE LAST GENERATION WILL BE HAVING FLOODING
GENESIS 7:6-12
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
GOD PROMISED BY A RAINBOW-THE EARTH WOULD NEVER BE DESTROYED TOTALLY WITH A FLOOD AGAIN.BUT FLOODIING IS A SIGN OF JUDGEMENT.

Washington state motorists stranded after floods, mudslides-Reuters-August 22, 2014 6:44 AM-yahoonews

SEATTLE (Reuters) - Heavy rainfall in a wildfire-charred area of North Central Washington state triggered flash flooding and mudslides that stranded motorists and closed highways, a forecaster said on Friday.Vehicles were trapped in debris-laden water at about 8 p.m. PDT Thursday (0300 GMT Friday) in Okanogan County, and mud and rocks carried by moving water blocked State Highway 20, said National Weather Service meteorologist Stephen Corfidi.Up to 10 vehicles were also stranded in mud in the Methow Valley, Corfidi said.Heavy rain started early Thursday afternoon in North Central Washington state, which has been burned by destructive wildfires.More than an inch (2.54 cm) of rain fell in about an hour near the town of Twisp, Corfidi said.Local media said power was cut and homes were damaged in some areas."It's a taste of fall, really," Corfidi said. "It was favorable for peak thunderstorm development in a relatively confined area."The charred areas, especially on steep terrain, were more vulnerable to rapid runoff, he added. There were no reports of injuries, he said.Rainfall had largely subsided despite lingering, weaker thunderstorms overnight on Friday, Corfidi said. More rain was forecast for later in the day.(Reporting by Eric M. Johnson in Seattle; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)

Stormy start to Friday brings rain, lightning to central Indiana-Posted 5:55 AM, August 22, 2014, by ronsmileyfox59, Updated at 06:28am, August 22, 2014

(Aug. 22, 2014) – We continue to track rain and thunderstorms for parts of northern Indiana this morning.  These storms will likely weaken slightly as they continue to roll in from the northwest through sunrise this morning.  As the sun comes up model data sweeps the broken line south through the metro.  Lightning and gusty winds should be expected with any cells passing through the city.Strong storms once again rolled through the state last night with a couple of wind damage reports being reported.  Overall the big rain totals stands out on the storm report list.  Delphi in Carroll County reported street flooding.  There is a flash flood warning for Grant, Wabash, Huntington and Wells counties this morning.  Jay County is also under the flash flood warning. In addition to heavy rain reports throughout the day yesterday we also saw a couple of large hail reports as well.  Thorntown in Boone County reported large hail and area flooding last night with the passing of one of the stronger cells.

Today:

Expect a mix of storms and heat for today.  Storms likely won’t be enough to keep everyone out of the 90s today.  I am still somewhat skeptical (especially with the wet soils, humidity) that we will hit 90 degrees today but the core temperatures are warm enough for us to do it.  How long the rain sticks around and the remaining clouds will likely be a big player in how close Indianapolis gets to 90 degrees.  We hit 86 yesterday. It seems odd that the heat building is the secondary story today but it is because rain will continue throughout this morning and into the afternoon hours before easing a bit.  Looking at model numbers coming out this morning it is going to be very tough for us to hit 90.  I am lowering temps to the mid-80s for the day and continuing with a chance for rain throughout the day as well.  For Indianapolis the day could be fairly soggy with perhaps an hour or two of completely dry conditions during the afternoon with clouds.  Some communities could see an additional two inches of rain on top of everything they’ve already recorded over the last 24 hours. There is no guarantee Indianapolis will see the 90s this weekend but we will at least be close.  Model numbers continue to slowly tick down for weekend highs.  There are a couple of reasons for this with one of the big ones being the soil is not nearly as dry as we were expecting it to be.  The position of the ridge building has also nudged just slightly south meaning the hottest of the air will remain in southern parts of the state.  We expect humidity will remain as high as it is right now and heat advisories will be possible with the heat index possibly hitting triple digits.
