WARN THE PEOPLE-WW3

EZEKIEL 33:1-6
1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2  Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3  If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
4  Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5  He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
6  But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.

DANIEL 11:40-45 (WW3 BREAKDOWN)
40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south( EGYPT) push at him:(EU DICTATOR IN ISRAEL) and the king of the north (RUSSIA AND MUSLIM HORDES OF EZEK 38+39) shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.(JORDAN)
42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
44 But tidings out of the east(CHINA 2ND WAVE OF WW3) and out of the north(RUSSIA, MUSLIMS WHATS LEFT FROM WAVE 1) shall trouble him:(EU DICTATOR IN ISRAEL) therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.( 1/3RD OF EARTHS POPULATION)
45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

ISAIAH 24:1
1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste,(NUKES USED) and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.(WORLD IMMIGRATION)

GENESIS 16:11-12
11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael;(ARAB/MUSLIM) because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
12 And he will be a wild man;(RIOTS-BURNING-MURDEROUUS RAGE) his hand will be against every man,(ISLAM WANTS WORLD DOMINATION) and every man's hand against him;(DEFENDING THEMSELVES) and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.(ARAB/MUSLIMS LIVE WITH ISRAELIS)

ISAIAH 33:1,18-19 Woe to thee that spoilest,(destroys) and thou wast not spoiled;(destroyed) and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil,(destroy) thou shalt be spoiled;(destroyed) and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.
18 Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?
19 Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand.

JOHN 16:2
2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.(ISLAM MURDERS IN THE NAME OF THEIR MOON GOD ALLAH)

ISAIAH 14:12-23
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, (SATAN) son of the morning! (HEBREW MEANS CRESCENT MOON ANGEL-ISLAM OVIOUSLY)(SATAN IS THE GOD OF ISLAM) how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

MIGRATING BIRDS IN ISRAEL EATS HUMANS FLESH FOR COMING AGAINST ISRAEL-JERUSALEM

Ecclesiastes 9:10
10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

EZEKIEL 31:10-17
10 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast lifted up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;
11 I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him out for his wickedness.
12 And strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut him off, and have left him: upon the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the rivers of the land; and all the people of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him.
13 Upon his ruin shall all the fowls of the heaven remain, and all the beasts of the field shall be upon his branches:
14To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.(HELL).
15Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.
16 I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.
17They also went down into hell with him unto [them that be] slain with the sword; and [they that were] his arm, [that] dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.
18To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with [them that be] slain by the sword. This [is] Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.

EZEKIEL 32:17-32
17 It came to pass also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth [day] of the month, [that] the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
18 Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, [even] her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.
19 Whom dost thou pass in beauty? go down, and be thou laid with the uncircumcised.
20 They shall fall in the midst of [them that are] slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword: draw her and all her multitudes.
21 The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.
22 Asshur [is] there and all her company: his graves [are] about him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword:
23 Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living.
24 There [is] Elam (IRAN) and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit.
25 They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude: her graves [are] round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror was caused in the land of the living, yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of [them that be] slain.
26 There [is] Meshech, Tubal,(RUSSIA) (GERMANY, TURKEY) and all her multitude: her graves [are] round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they caused their terror in the land of the living.
27And they shall not lie with the mighty [that are] fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though [they were] the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.
28 Yea, thou shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shalt lie with [them that are] slain with the sword.
29 There [is] Edom,(JORDAN) her kings, and all her princes, which with their might are laid by [them that were] slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.
30 There [be] the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, which are gone down with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lie uncircumcised with [them that be] slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit.
31 Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, [even] Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword, saith the Lord GOD.
32 For I have caused my terror in the land of the living: and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with [them that are] slain with the sword, [even] Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.

EZEKIEL 38:1-23
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog,(RULER) the land of Magog,(RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech (MOSCOW) and Tubal,(TOBOLSK) and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog,(LEADER OF RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW) and Tubal:TOBOLSK)
4 And I (GOD) will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws,(GOD FORCES THE RUSSIA-MUSLIMS TO MARCH) and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia,(IRAN,IRAQ) Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer,(GERMANY) and all his bands; the house of Togarmah (TURKEY) of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.(AFRICAN MUSLIMS,SUDAN,TUNESIA ETC)
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.(RUSSIA-EGYPT AND MUSLIMS)
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 And thou shalt say,(RUSSIA-ARAB-MUSLIMS) I will go up to the land of unwalled villages;(ISRAEL) I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 To take a spoil,(OIL IS IN SPOIL) and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
13  Sheba, and Dedan,(SAUDI-ARABIA) and the merchants of Tarshish,(SPAIN) with all the young lions thereof,(ENGLAND,AND ALL ITS ASSOCIATES-CANADA,AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND, USA, AND WESTERN ENGLISH SPEAKING NATIONS) shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?(OIL IS IN SPOIL-I BELIEVE THATS WHY RUSSIA,ARAB/MUSLIMS MARCH TO ISRAEL)
14  Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
15  And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
16  And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

EZEKIEL 39:11-22
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog (RUSSIA/ARAB/MUSLIMS) a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers (EAST OF THE DEAD SEA IN JORDAN VALLEY) on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog (RUSSIAN) and all his multitude:(ARAB/MUSLIM HORDE) and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.(BURIEL SITE OF THE 300 MILLION,RUSSIAN/ARAB/MUSLIMS)
12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.(OF ISRAEL)
13 Yea, all the people of the land (OF ISRAEL) shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I (GOD-JESUS) shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.
14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment,(NUCLEAR ATOMIC BOMB EXPERTS) passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.
15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it,(WON'T TOUCH IT) till the buriers have buried it (PROPERLY) in the valley of Hamongog.(RUSSIA/ARAB/MUSLIMS NEW BURIEL SITE)(EAST OF THE DEAD SEA IN THE JORDAN VALLEY)
16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.(OF THE ISRAEL-GOD HATERS)
17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl,(500 MILLION MIGRATING BIRDS THREW ISRAEL EVERY SPRING,FALL) and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.(OF THE RUSSIAN/ARAB/MUSLIM ARMIES)
18  Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
19  And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
20  Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.
21  And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
22  So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.

REVELATION 19:17-18
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;(AGAINST ALL NATIONS ARMIES THAT COME AGAINST JERUSALEM AND ISRAEL)
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

EZEKIEL 32:18-29 (NOTICE ALL THE COUNTRIES LAND PROMISED ISRAEL BY GOD ARE IN THE JORDAN VALLEY BURIED)
18 “Son of man, wail for the multitudes of Egypt, and consign her and the daughters of the mighty nations to the depths of the earth with those who descend to the Pit:
19 Whom do you surpass in beauty? Go down and be placed with the uncircumcised! (IN HELL FIRES)
20 They will fall among those slain by the sword. The sword is appointed! Let them drag her away along with all her multitudes.
21 Mighty chiefs will speak from the midst of Sheol about Egypt and her allies: ‘They have come down and lie with the uncircumcised, with those slain by the sword.’
22 Assyria (SYRIA) is there with her whole company; her graves are all around her. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword.
23 Her graves are set in the depths of the Pit, and her company is all around her grave. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword—those who once spread terror in the land of the living.
24 Elam (IRAN) is there with all her multitudes around her grave. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword—those who went down uncircumcised to the earth below, who once spread their terror in the land of the living. They bear their disgrace with those who descend to the Pit.
25 Among the slain they prepare a resting place for Elam with all her hordes, with her graves all around her. All of them are uncircumcised, slain by the sword, although their terror was once spread in the land of the living. They bear their disgrace with those who descend to the Pit. They are placed among the slain.
26 Meshech and Tubal (RUSSIA) are there with all their multitudes, with their graves all around them. All of them are uncircumcised, slain by the sword, because they spread their terror in the land of the living.
27 They do not lie down with the fallen warriors of old, who went down to Sheol with their weapons of war, whose swords were placed under their heads, whose shields rested on their bones, although the terror of the mighty was once in the land of the living.
28 But you too will be shattered and lie down among the uncircumcised, with those slain by the sword.
29 Edom (JORDAN) is there, and all her kings and princes, who despite their might are laid among those slain by the sword. They lie down with the uncircumcised, with those who descend to the Pit.THIS IS RIGHT FROM 93:

SECOND ANGEL: MIDDLE EAST
Then I saw that the second angel had a sickle in his hand, such as is used in harvesting. The second angel said: "Harvest time has come in Israel and the countries all the way to Iran."I saw those countries in a few split seconds."All of Turkey and those [inaudible] countries that have refused me and refused my message of love shall hate each other and kill one another."I saw the angel raise the sickle and come down on all the Middle East countries. I saw Iran, Persia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, all of Georgia - Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, all of Asia Minor - full of blood. I saw blood all over these countries. And I saw fire; Nuclear weapons used in many of those countries. Smoke rising from everywhere. Sudden destruction – men destroying one another. I heard these words:"Israel, Oh Israel, the great judgment has come." The angel said, "The chosen, the church, the remnant, shall be purified. The Spirit of God shall prepare the children of God."I saw fires rising to heaven. The angel said: "This is the final judgment. My church shall be purified, protected and ready for the final day. Men will die from thirst. Water shall be scarce all over the Middle East. Rivers shall dry up, and men will fight for water in those countries."The angel showed me that the United Nations shall be broken in pieces because of the crisis in the Middle East. There shall be no more United Nations. The angel with the sickle shall reap the harvest.

PSALMS 83:1-8 (GODS LAND PROMISED TO ISRAEL)
1 O God, do not remain silent;do not turn a deaf ear,do not stand aloof, O God.
2 See how your enemies growl,  how your foes rear their heads.
3 With cunning they (ARAB,MUSLIMS) conspire against your people;they plot against those you cherish.(ISRAELIS)
4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”
5 With one mind they plot together;(TREATIES) they form an alliance against you—

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence (TERRORISM)(HAMAS) through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

1 OF 3 GOD GAVE THEM OVER TO
1-PROMISCUOUS SEX AMOUNG EACH OTHER.
ROMANS 1:24
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: (THE 60S FREE SEX)
2 OF 3 GOD GAVE THEM OVER TO
2-SODOMITES - MEN LUSTING MEN, AND WOMEN LUSTING AFTER WOMEN.
ROMANS 1:26-27
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
3 OF 3 GOD GAVE THEM OVER TO
3-A DEPRAVED MIND-ANY SIN GOES.
ROMANS 1:28-31
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER GOD GAVE THEM OVER TO THESE 3 DEPRAVED ABOMINATION SINS?
OH OH NOAHS DAY. WHAT HAPPENED IN NOAHS DAY. THE WHOLE WORLD WAS JUDGED BY WATER.
GENESIS 6:7,17
7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
GENESIS 7:4
4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
GENESIS 8:16
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
WELL THE SODOMITES PICKED THE RIGHT SIGN OF A RAINBOW FOR JUDGEMENT. THE SODOMITES TRYED TO STEAL GODS SIGN THAT THE WHOLE EARTH WILL NEVER DIE FROM FLOOD WATERS AGAIN. BUT THE JUDGEMENT THIS TIME IS GOING TO BE BY FIRE.NOT WATER.
2 PETER 3:7
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

New Movement to Unite One Jewish People for One Jewish State-Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz-Israel News-July 31, 2024

Since October 7th, a wave of pro-Israel activists has emerged to defend the Jewish people and the State of Israel from unprecedented antisemitism and anti-Zionism. A new movement to unite Israel advocates across the world has formed, called ‘One Jewish State,’ that seeks to strengthen Israel and the Jewish people. One Jewish State is an outgrowth of Israel365 Action, which has been at the forefront of Israel advocacy since October 7th, and has partnered with Ambassador David Friedman, who has called for a new movement that is based on peace through strength. “I am flattered that they have chosen the name of my book for their new party, and am flattered they have endorsed my views and the movement I have begun to lead,” said Friedman. In addition to organizing Israel advocates, One Jewish State will host online and local events and has registered as a party in the World Zionist Congress. The World Zionist Congress is the “parliament of the Jewish people” since its founding in 1897 by Theodore Herzl, and holds elections every five years. The next World Zionist Congress election is scheduled for March 2025. “Zionism today has become a dirty word. Antisemitism is out of control. On October 7th, Israelis were massacred and now, Jews don’t feel safe anywhere in the world,” said Rabbi Pesach Wolicki, director of Israel365 Action. “While the World Zionist Congress incredibly helped build the state of Israel, we have lost the vision necessary to steer the Jewish State into the future. One Jewish State has bold views that are very different from the failed policies that led to October 7th.” One Jewish State calls for working closely with Israel’s faith based allies, for revitalizing Jewish education and for sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. Since the World Zionist Congress elections will be held in March 2025, One Jewish State is seeking party delegates to serve as representatives. “We already have some of the most incredible Jewish activists as delegates,” said Rabbi Tuly Weisz, founder of Israel365. “I am blown away by the dedication, commitment and courage of so many young Jews who have applied to become delegates. This is not the party for Jews with trembling knees, but we are the home for all kinds of Jews who want to be a part of ensuring a strong, safe and sovereign Israel.”To apply to become a One Jewish State delegate, visit the website here. One Jewish State delegates Anna Steinberg and Elisheva Chase from Chicago, flew to Washington, DC to hear Prime Minister Netanyahu and were attacked by pro Hamas mobs. “I can’t believe what is going on in our nation’s capital,” said Steinberg, “and I feel that getting involved with One Jewish State is the best way to have a big impact on the future of Israel and the Jewish people.” Other delegates include Michelle Terris, founder of JEXIT (Jews exiting the Democratic party), WABC host of “Sid and Friends” Sid Rosenberg, social media influencer Melissa Chapman, Josh Hammer, Newsweek’s senior editor at large, Matthew Faraci of Gideon300, and Benji Gershon, founder of American Jewish Conservatives. Their motto, ‘One Jewish People for One Jewish State’ encapsulates the diversity of its delegates. Cary Kozberg is a reform rabbi, Pinchas Taylor is a Chabad rabbi and Josh Wander is a rabbi who defies all labels, all of whom serve as One Jewish State delegates. Rabbi Josh Wander (who lives in Israel but didn’t vote in the previous Knesset election and therefore is eligible to serve as a delegate) will serve as the director of Aliyah affairs for One Jewish State and sees his involvement as a way to raise awareness about the importance of Aliyah. “We are at a crossroads in Jewish history where God is literally closing down the exile on all fronts and gathering his people back home. I am flattered to represent One Jewish State in its efforts to return the Jewish people back to their ancestral homeland.”One Jewish State recognizes that some of its positions might be jarring for some in the largely liberal American Jewish community, but that is okay with its leadership. “October 7th woke us all up to the harsh reality that we can’t continue with the same naive ideologies and failed policies, like the two state solution,” said Rabbi Wolicki. “We need a grassroots movement to push the Jewish community into confronting the new reality we are facing. If you want to be a part of the new movement that will turn Zionism from a curse word into a beloved term that connotes respect, then we are your One Jewish State.”

Non-Western nations slam ‘unacceptable,’ ‘shameful’ Haniyeh killing-Picture of JNS-July 31, 2024

“This is an absolutely unacceptable political murder, and it will lead to further escalation of tensions,” said Russia’s deputy foreign minister.Non-Western nations are condemning the assassination in Tehran of Hamas politburo head Ismail Haniyeh and holding Israel responsible, though it has not taken credit for the killing.Russia, which hosted a Hamas delegation shortly after Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre, and Turkey, whose president recently spoke of invading Israel, both denounced the killing.Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said, ”This is an absolutely unacceptable political murder, and it will lead to further escalation of tensions.”Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said, “We condemn the assassination of the leader of Hamas’s political office, Ismail Haniyeh, in a shameful assassination in Tehran.”Iran said the Haniyeh’s death wouldn’t be in vain and “will strengthen the deep and inseparable bonds between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Palestine and resistance,” according to the country’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency.Iran’s newly installed president, Masoud Pezeshkian, said, “We will make the occupying terrorist regime [Israel] regret its action,” Iranian media reported.“Iran will defend its sovereignty, dignity, reputation and honor,” he added.Hamas said Haniyeh died “as a result of a treacherous Zionist raid” and promised that his death would not go unanswered.“The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourns the sons of our great Palestinian people, the Arab and Islamic nation, and all the free people of the world,” the terror group said in a statement.Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas, whose Fatah organization signed a unity deal with Hamas on July 23 in China, called the assassination “a cowardly act and a dangerous development.”Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, head of Yemen’s Houthi Supreme Revolutionary Committee, said, “Targeting Ismail Haniyeh is a heinous terrorist crime and a flagrant violation of laws and ideal values.”Qatar’s Foreign Ministry said Haniyeh was “martyred” and expressed “condolences to the heroic nation of Palestine and the Islamic nation and the combatants of the Resistance Front and the noble nation of Iran.”Jordan characterized the killing as a violation of international law and humanitarian law. Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Sufyan Qudah said Israel’s crimes would drag the region into a wider conflict, threatening regional and international peace and security.China also condemned the assassination, warning it could lead to “further instability in the regional situation.”Although the United States didn’t immediately respond to the incident, it had already directed warships toward the Eastern Mediterranean after the Tuesday night assassination by Israel of Fuad Shukr, described as Hezbollah’s chief of staff, and promised to come to Israel’s aid should it be attacked.Speaking to the press in the Philippines on Tuesday, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said, “We’ve committed to helping Israel defend itself for whatever it takes,” speaking of the possibility of war in Israel’s north between Israel and Hezbollah.Haniyeh, who was in Iran for the inauguration of Iran’s new president Masoud Pezeshkian, was killed at his Tehran guest house, according to Iranian media reports.

In address to nation, PM makes no mention of Haniyeh's death-Netanyahu: ‘Challenging days ahead,’ Israel will exact heavy price for any attack-Israel says ready for every scenario as it braces for reaction by Iran and proxies to the killings of Hamas’s Haniyeh, Hezbollah’s Shukr; Iranian adviser was also killed in Beirut-By Lazar Berman,Emanuel Fabian-and Agencies Today, 12:05 am-AUG 1,24

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Wednesday evening that “challenging days are ahead” for Israel as it braces for attacks from Iran and its regional proxies following the assassinations of Hezbollah’s top military commander in Beirut and Hamas’s political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.Speaking from military headquarters in Tel Aviv at the end of a three-hour-long security cabinet meeting, Netanyahu said Israel was facing threats from across the region following the killing of Fuad Shukr, whom he called “Hezbollah’s chief of staff,” in Beirut on Tuesday night.“We are ready for every scenario,” he promised, “and will stand united and determined against every threat.” He added: “Israel will exact a very heavy price for any aggression against us.”Israel was on high alert Wednesday evening as it prepared to face retaliation for the attacks. The killings and expectations of a response have fueled further concern that the conflict in Gaza was turning into a wider Middle East war.The United States urged its citizens to not travel to Lebanon, citing rising tensions. The State Department raised its travel advisory to Lebanon to level four, which says “Do Not Travel.” The State Department advised Americans in Lebanon to depart if possible. While it confirmed hitting Shukr, Israel has not commented on Haniyeh’s killing, and Netanyahu avoided doing so, or even mentioning Haniyeh’s name, during his Wednesday comments. But Iran and Hamas blamed the Jewish state for the attack. As Netanyahu was addressing the nation, Hezbollah formally confirmed that Shukr had been killed, more than 24 hours after the IDF struck the eight-story apartment building in southern Beirut that he was in. Shukr will be buried on Thursday, the Iran-backed group said, and its leader Hassan Nasrallah will deliver an address.Netanyahu noted that Shukr, who he also described as “Nasrallah’s deputy,” was “one of the most wanted terrorists in the world. The US put a $5 million bounty on his head, and for good reason: He was involved in the murder of 241 American soldiers and 58 French soldiers in Beirut in 1983.”US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said earlier Wednesday that the US “certainly will help defend Israel” if regional conflict escalates, noting that it did so in April, when the US led a coalition of forces that, together with Israel, almost completely thwarted an Iranian attack on Israel with hundreds of drones and missiles. The UN Security Council said it would be holding an emergency meeting on Wednesday, at 4 p.m. New York Time (11 p.m., in Israel) on the killing of Haniyeh. The meeting was requested by Iran and supported by representatives of Russia, China and Algeria.Meanwhile, Israeli President Isaac Herzog urged the public to be “responsible and vigilant” amid the threats from Iran and its proxies, and to follow instructions issued by the security establishment.“We did not desire war and we will not desire war, but we must be prepared,” the president said. The Israeli strike in Beirut was carried out in retaliation for a deadly Hezbollah rocket attack on a Golan Heights Druze town Saturday that killed 12 children in a soccer field. Israel has said Shukr was responsible for the attack, and others across northern Israel. “He was the main liaison between Iran and Hezbollah and he was responsible for the organization’s missiles,” Netanyahu said.Iran’s official Fars News Agency reported Wednesday night that Iranian military adviser Milad Bedi had also been killed in the Beirut strike that killed Shukr. Bedi was in the building where Israel targeted Shukr and his body was identified on Wednesday, the report said.Pointing to the Beirut assassination, the strike in Gaza on the leader of Hamas’s military wing Muhammad Deif several weeks ago and on the Houthi-controlled Hodeida port in Yemen, Netanyahu said Israel had landed “crushing blows” on Iran and its main proxies. The Druze and the Jews have a “covenant of life” that has been strengthened in recent days, the premier said of Israel’s retaliation for the deadly Hezbollah strike on Majdal Shams. “We settled our score with [Hajj] Mohsin,” he said, referring to Shukr’s nom de guerre, “and we will settle our score with anyone who harms us.“The murder of innocent children has been added to the unending suffering of the residents in the north, our dear ones who have been exiled from their homes, and whose communities have suffered serious attacks — and for this we will not be silent.”“Everyone who takes aim at our children, everyone who murders our citizens, everyone who harms our country — their blood is on their own head,” Netanyahu added.Like Netanyahu, Israeli Air Force chief Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar stressed at a graduation ceremony for drone operators at the Palmachim Airbase on Wednesday evening that the IAF was ready for “any scenario.”The Air Force was “enveloping Israel with dozens of aircraft, manned and remotely manned, prepared and ready in a matter of minutes for any scenario, in any area,” Bar said. “We will act against anyone who plans to harm the citizens of the State of Israel, there is no location that is too far for us to attack.”Questions swirled in Israel throughout all of Wednesday about how Iran and its proxies would react to the assassinations of top Hamas and Hezbollah leaders.Israel’s aviation authority said on Wednesday morning that the airspace from the coastal city of Hadera northward would be closed for a period of 24 hours, with the exception of emergency fights by the military, police, firefighters and medical evacuations.Ben Gurion Airport was unaffected by the closure, as commercial flights generally do not fly north of Hadera to reach the airport located near Tel Aviv.Still, two leading US airlines announced Wednesday they were freezing flights to the country for several days.Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Israel Katz sent a letter to dozens of foreign ministers around the world, calling on them to demand “an immediate cessation of Hezbollah’s attacks, its withdrawal to the north of the Litani River and its disarmament in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701.”That resolution ended the 2006 Second Lebanon War, and stipulated that Hezbollah must not be active south of the Litani, a demand Hezbollah has flaunted over the years as it built its robust military infrastructure along Israel’s border.“Israel is not interested in an all-out war,” Katz said, “but the only way to prevent it is the immediate implementation of Resolution 1701.”The strike on Shukr “sent a clear message,” Katz added, “We will use great force to harm whoever harms us.”Israel’s Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, sent a letter to other Foreign Ministers stating Israel does not want all out war, “only way to prevent it is to implement UN Resolution 1701” pic.twitter.com/ecCxWzUxzf— Backdoor News (@BackdoorNews2) July 31, 2024-In his Wednesday address, Netanyahu asserted that he has been under pressure, domestically and abroad, to end the war in Gaza.I did not give in to those voices then, and I don’t give in to them now,” he said.Had he listened to them, the premier argued, Israel would not have taken out Hamas leaders and fighters, destroyed infrastructure, taken the Gaza-Egypt border area, or “created the conditions that bring us closer to terms that will not only bring our hostages back, but also allow us to achieve all of our objectives for the war.“All of the achievements in recent months were attained because we did not give in,” Netanyahu said, “and because we made brave decisions in the face of great pressure at home and abroad. And I tell you it was not easy.“Together we will fight, and with God’s help, together we will win,” he concluded.Times of Israel Staff contributed to this report.

It is 'our duty to seek revenge for his blood,' leader says-Khamenei said to order direct strike on Israel after Haniyeh killed in Tehran-Iranian officials tell NYT that options being weighed include a coordinated assault with Tehran’s proxies, say defense plans also being readied in case Israel or US strike Iran-By ToI Staff Today, 1:53 am-AUG 1,24

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has ordered a direct strike on Israel for the killing of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, according to a report Wednesday, as he and other top Iranian officials vowed a response to the Palestinian terror chief’s assassination in Tehran.Citing three unnamed Iranian officials briefed on the matter, including two Revolutionary Guard members, the New York Times reported that Khamenei gave the directive at an emergency meeting of the Supreme National Security Council held shortly after Haniyeh’s killing was announced Wednesday morning. As part of the order, the officials said Khamenei told commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Iranian Army to ready both attack and defense plans “in the event that the war expands and Israel or the United States strike Iran.”Israel has not commented on the incident, which came amid its war with the Hamas terror group in the Gaza Strip and hours after an IDF strike in Beirut killed the top military commander of fellow Iran-backed Hezbollah. With Israel on high alert for a possible response, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned in an address to the nation on Wednesday evening that “challenging days are ahead,” but vowed the country was “ready for every scenario” and “will exact a very heavy price for any aggression against us.” He did not mention Haniyeh.Khamenei had hosted Haniyeh, who was visiting Tehran for the swearing-in ceremony of new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, for a meeting on Tuesday hours before he was killed.“With this action, the criminal and terrorist Zionist regime prepared the ground for harsh punishment for itself, and we consider it our duty to seek revenge for his blood as he was martyred in the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Khamenei said in a statement on the assassination carried by state media. The Iranian officials quoted by the New York Times said that among the options being weighed are a combined drone and missile assault — similar to the direct attack on Israel several months ago — on military targets around Tel Aviv and Haifa, asserting Iran would go out of its way not to strike civilian sites. They also said military commanders are considering launching the attack in coordination with Iranian proxies around the region “for maximum effect,” naming Yemen, Syria and Iraq among the countries where Iran’s allies operate.Iran has in the past acted on threats to retaliate against Israel, generally through its regional proxies. However, in April, for the first time, it responded directly to the killing of a senior army general in an alleged Israeli strike in Beirut. On that occasion, Iran launched hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel, nearly all of which Israel was able to intercept with the help of US coordination with other forces in the region, including Britain, France, and some Arab states. Very minor damage was caused to an airbase and a young Bedouin girl was seriously injured by falling shrapnel.Noting the joint international response to that attack, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Wednesday the US “certainly will help defend Israel” if regional conflict escalates following the deaths of Haniyeh and Fuad Shukr, the Hezbollah commander.“We don’t want to see any of that happen,” Austin told a press conference in the Philippines. “We’re going to work hard to make sure that we’re doing things to help take the temperature down and address issues through diplomatic gatherings.”Austin added that he didn’t believe a wider war in the Middle East to be “inevitable.”Later Wednesday, Austin spoke by phone with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant in a call the US and Israel said regarded Hezbollah and Lebanon. Neither the readout from the Pentagon nor from the Defense Ministry mentioned Haniyeh, as the US has said it was “not aware or involved in” the targeted assassination, and the Israeli government said it would not be commenting on the matter. The Pentagon said, however, that the two defense officials “discussed the threats to Israel posed by a range of Iranian-backed terrorist groups,” and Austin “reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to Israel’s security and right to self-defense.”Agencies contributed to this reprot.

Security Council holds urgent meeting on Mideast tensions after terror chiefs killed-US urges UN members with influence over Tehran ‘to increase pressure on it to stop escalating its proxy conflict against Israel and other actors’; Iran envoy calls to punish Israel-By Agencies and ToI Staff-JUL 31,24

United Nations Security Council countries on Wednesday called for stepped-up diplomatic efforts to avert a wider Middle East conflict after the killings of two terror leaders raised tensions.Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in the Iranian capital Tehran early on Wednesday, sparking threats of revenge against Israel and fueling concern the Gaza conflict was turning into a wider Middle East war.The assassination occurred less than 24 hours after Hezbollah’s most senior military commander was killed in an Israeli strike on the Lebanese capital Beirut in retaliation for a rocket attack in Golan Heights that killed 12 children.“We fear the region is at the brink of all-out war,” Japan’s deputy UN representative, Shino Mitsuko, said on Wednesday, urging international efforts to prevent such a conflict.China, Russia, Algeria and others condemned Haniyeh’s assassination, which Iran’s UN ambassador called “an aggressive act of terrorism by the Zionist occupying regime of Israel,” while the US, UK and France raised what they said was Iranian support for destabilizing actors in the region. No collective message was issued after the meeting.Fu Cong, China’s ambassador to the UN, said failure to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza war sparked by Hamas’s October 7 terror onslaught was responsible for worsening tensions.“Countries with major influence must put more pressure and work more vigorously … to put out the flames of war in Gaza,” he said.Britain’s UN Ambassador Barbara Woodward urged calm and restraint, reiterating a call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. She called for a renewed peace process that would result in a two-state solution with a secure Israel and a sovereign Palestinian state.“The path to peace must be through diplomatic negotiations. Long-term peace will not be secured by bombs and bullets.”Robert Wood, deputy US ambassador to the UN, called for members of the Security Council with influence over Iran “to increase pressure on it to stop escalating its proxy conflict against Israel and other actors.”“We call on the Security Council to send an unambiguous message to Hezbollah by standing with Israel as it defends itself against Hezbollah’s repeated attacks,” he said, while noting Iranian support for Yemen’s Houthi rebels and armed groups in Syria and Iraq.Turning to Haniyeh’s killing, Wood called “not to speculate on the impact that recent events may have on peace and security in the Middle East.”“A broader war is neither imminent nor inevitable, although the opportunistic attacks by Iran and its network of terrorist proxies and partners across the region have repeatedly brought us closer to a regional conflict,” he continued. “For our part, the United States will continue to lead the way in diplomatic efforts to end the war in Gaza and reduce regional tensions.”“We will continue to work hard to prevent a broader regional war,” he added, saying “that starts… with finalizing an agreement for an immediate ceasefire with the release of hostages in Gaza.”Iran’s UN Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani said Tehran has consistently exercised maximum restraint but reserved its right to respond decisively. He called on the Security Council to condemn Israel and punish it with sanctions.Israel’s deputy representative to the UN, Jonathan Miller, called on the Security Council to condemn Iran for support of regional terrorism and increase sanctions on Tehran, while saying those who want peace and stability in the Middle East “should welcome the removal of arch terrorists, not call on both sides to restrain themselves.”“We will defend ourselves and respond with great force against those who harm us,” Miller said, calling on the world to support Israel.

Analysis'Israel slowly making Hamas irrelevant as a military group' Iran-led axis likely to launch joint attack, but can’t reverse Israeli gains in Gaza-After strikes in Beirut and Tehran — and a US attack in Iraq — Tehran will look to retaliate. Hamas meanwhile seems unable to do much, with hostage deal its best shot at survival-By Lazar Berman-Today, 5:09 am-JUL 31,24

After the Hezbollah rocket attack in Majdal Shams on Saturday that left 12 children dead and dozens more injured, Israel found itself forced to carry out a muscular response. The question was how.Several options were on the table, some being pushed loudly by prominent officials. Israel could have opted to finally embark on the long-anticipated war on Hezbollah, seeking to drive the Shi’ite terror army from southern Lebanon and degrade its military capabilities.Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could have instead opted for a limited air campaign across Lebanon, focusing on taking out key Hezbollah targets, both as punishment for the Golan Heights strike and to put Israel in a better position if and when war breaks out.Or Israel could also have struck the Lebanese state itself, trying to compel it to rein Hezbollah in.All of those options came with significant risks. A war with Hezbollah would result in widespread damage in Lebanon, perhaps even hastening the slow dissolution of the state. But it would also extract a heavy toll from Israeli troops and the home front, not to mention go against the wishes of the United States and other Western allies. But a limited strike might not solve the Hezbollah threat on the northern border, leaving over 60,000 Israelis as refugees in their own country. Moreover, such an approach still risks potential scenarios that could lead to an escalatation into the all-out war that Israel so far has avoided. And a campaign against Lebanon’s state institutions and infrastructure would certainly spark condemnation in the West, while doing little to degrade Hezbollah’s military capabilities. With the dual overnight strikes on Hezbollah military leader Fuad Shukr and Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh, Israel seemed to reject all those options, at least for the time being. In killing Shukr, it removed an experienced commander and major asset for Hezbollah from the playing field. But it did not threaten any Hezbollah capabilities or harm large numbers of civilians, projecting strength while seeking to avoid forcing the terror group into a war.Israel has not officially commented on the Haniyeh strike, which Iran and Hamas both blamed on the Jewish state. But the assassination of the Hamas leader in Tehran could prevent embarrassment to Qatar, where Haniyeh was based, and which Israel still sees as a useful mediator in negotiations for a deal to free the hostages seized by the Palestinian terror group during the October 7 onslaught and end the war started by that attack.“The leader of Hamas abroad, headed by Haniyeh, plays a central role in the mobilization of resources for Hamas, in representing the organization, in political outreach, in building its military power,” said Meir Ben-Shabbat, Netanyahu’s former national security adviser. “In fact, this is what transforms Hamas from a local terrorist organization into a movement with regional influence.”It also appeared to show the already paranoid Iranian regime how deeply Israeli intelligence penetrates the country, and Israel’s ability to carry out precision strikes far from its borders. At the same time, the absence of a claim of responsibility and lack of harm to Iranian assets could offer Iran a way to avoid a significant escalation. No choice-Still, Iran is sure to respond.“Iran likely believes that it has no choice other than retaliating because it, first of all, has to deter further Israeli attacks on its soil,” said Ali Vaez, Iran Project Director at the Crisis Group. “It has to defend its sovereignty. It has to preserve its credibility in the eyes of its regional partners.”Iran, like Israel, doesn’t want a regional war. But, like Israel, it too faces the dilemma of how to respond. The Islamic Republic and its proxies like to establish clear rules of the game, and to craft their retaliation so that it answers or mirrors in some way the attacks the Iran-led axis has suffered.Shortly after the strike in Beirut on Tuesday night, US forces attacked a base south of Baghdad that killed four members of the Iran-aligned Popular Mobilization Force militias and wounded four others. “Because this is the culmination of multiple high-profile assassinations and major attacks against axis of resistance forces throughout the region, conducted both by Israel and the US,” said Vaez. “and [as] there’s certainly a perception in Tehran that Israel and the US have acted in coordination and conjunction with one another, I think it is likely to prompt an axis-wide coordinated retaliation against the US and Israel.”As part of that coordinated attack, Hezbollah could also seek to respond in kind to the Shukr assassination.“It could target singular high-value assets like critical infrastructure in Haifa, an offshore gas rig, or the base from which Israel launched its attack,” said Jonathan Ruhe, director of foreign policy at the Jewish Institute for National Security of America. “This would mirror how Israel just hit a high-value Hezbollah asset in Beirut for the first time since October 8.”Ben-Shabbat said that Iran could well be planning for an assassination as “an eye for an eye,” but such an attack would take time to plan.“I estimate they will respond that they will respond directly from the territory of Iran and Iraq,” he said, “in addition to the expected response from Lebanon and the account that the Houthis in Yemen have not yet settled.”However, Iran also has plenty of pressing reasons to keep it from a massive response. In April, Iran was under pressure to respond to an Israeli airstrike on its Damascus embassy in which eight IRGC officers were killed. They responded with a massive missile and drone attack, but it was a one-off event that seemed designed to avoid a major escalation.Iran’s response to the killing of a Hamas leader is likely to be even more measured, predicted Yaakov Amidror, another of Netanyahu’s former national security advisers. “This is not the kind of attack to which they respond with 300 missiles,” he said. While the world now waits to see how Iran and Hezbollah will react, there is little expectation that Hamas can launch a major response from the Gaza Strip, even though it was the terror group’s leader that was killed.Hamas’s seeming inability to carry out a massive retaliatory attack is one of the most significant aspects of this episode, said Amidror, and a sign that Israel is grinding the terror group down in Gaza.“It will remain in Gaza,” he explained, “but as a military organization Israel is slowly making it irrelevant.”Even if Israel is picking off senior Hamas leaders and destroying much of its infrastructure, Yahya Sinwar still lives, and he controls the fate of dozens of hostages still alive in Gaza. Some slow progress was being made toward a deal in the weeks before the Haniyeh strike, and Hamas is unlikely to agree to anything in the near future. But Haniyeh was only a mediator, while Sinwar made the ultimate decisions about what terms Hamas would accept in a deal. His core interests remain, and a deal with Israel is his best way to attain his personal survival and that of his organization in Gaza.“Sinwar makes decisions more based on what is happening in Gaza,” mused Amidror, “than on what happens to a leader who spends his time in six-star hotels in Qatar.”

United, Delta cancel flights to Israel amid fears of attacks-More airlines may follow as country braces for Hezbollah, Iranian retaliation over assassinations of top terror officials-By ToI Staff 31 July 2024, 10:35 pm

US airlines Delta and United on Wednesday announced the cancellation of planned flights to Israel for several days amid spiraling tensions with Hezbollah and Iran and an anticipation of potential large-scale attacks on the Jewish state in the coming days.Delta canceled its flights until August 2. United canceled its flights until August 6. Hebrew media estimated that the cancellations left tens of thousands of Israelis stranded in the United States. The cancellations by United and Delta, respectively the second- and third-largest airlines in the world, could spark a wave of cancellations by other airlines.Iran has pledged to avenge the killing of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in a missile strike on Tehran early Thursday. Hamas and Iran both blamed the killing on Israel, which remains mum.The assassination came hours after an Israeli airstrike in Beirut killed Hezbollah military leader Fuad Shukr in retaliation for the terror group’s missile strike that killed 12 children in Majdal Shams. The region is bracing for the possibility of a major escalation between Israel and its regional foes Hezbollah and Iran, as world leaders have warned of the destructive potential of all-out war. Israel has said it does not wish war but is ready to act against ongoing attacks against it.Israel has experienced repeated cancellations by Israeli airlines amid the war in Gaza and confrontations with Iran and its proxies.Non-Israeli airlines canceled flights to Tel Aviv after October 7, when thousands of Hamas-led terrorists stormed southern Israel to kill nearly 1,200 people and kidnap 251, sparking the war. Flights began resuming in March, only to be stopped again in April after Iran’s unprecedented missile-and-drone strike on Israel the night of April 13. British Airways resumed flights in April, and United and Delta resumed them in June.Wednesday’s cancellations came after the German Lufthansa group canceled two nighttime flights to Israel from Frankfurt and Munich on Monday, before the assassinations in Beirut and Tehran. The group, whose carriers include Swiss International Air Lines and Eurowings, also announced Monday that it was canceling all flights to and from Beirut until August 5.Several Western countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, have warned their citizens against travel to Lebanon. Poland on Tuesday said it stands ready to evacuate its citizens from Lebanon.Correction: This article previously stated in error that British Airways had canceled flights to Israel. British Airways says flights to Tel Aviv are currently operating as planned.

Israeli scientist proposes massive space sunshade to cut global temperatures by 1.5ºC-Prof Yoram Rozen, head of Technion’s Space Research Institute, seeks $15 million to launch prototype; ‘If we can’t show that it can work technologically, then nobody else will do it”By Sue Surkes-31 July 2024, 9:57 pm

An Israeli scientist is seeking $15 million to prove the technology for a potential huge sunshade that would block two percent of the sun’s radiation and bring global average temperatures down by some 1.5ºC (2.7ºF) within 12 to 18 months.Throughout human history, there has generally been a balance between the sun’s heating of the Earth and the planet cooling by radiating heat back into space. However, humankind’s increasing emission of greenhouse gases since the Industrial Revolution has limited the Earth’s ability to cool itself.Prof. Yoram Rozen and his team at the Technion’s Asher Space Research Institute in northern Israel envision a large shade that would slow the heating of Earth. The idea would be to launch a 2.5 million-ton blanket, a distance of 1.5 million kilometers (932 million miles) into space, to a specific zone where the effects of gravitational pressure and solar winds would be minimal. The shade would move with the Earth as it rotates around the sun, mainly above equatorial areas. The opaque blanket would be made of a thin, reflective material already used in solar propulsion sails in space. It resembles the blankets sometimes seen wrapped around migrants on boats when they reach European shores.Rozen, who also teaches physics at the Technion and performs research at CERN, the prestigious European Laboratory for Particle Physics near Geneva, said the shading would barely be felt on Earth. The plan was to reduce radiation by just 2%.“It’s not like when a cloud goes between you and the sun. It’s more like the difference in light between noon and 2 p.m.,” Rozen said.He added that according to the data, the effects on biology and photosynthesis would be “negligible.”Asked what the downsides of the project were, he answered, “The cost.”The full project is estimated at $30 trillion — more than the US GDP but less than the $38 trillion estimated in annual damages due to global warming by mid-century, according to a recent study in the prestigious scientific journal Nature. In the meantime, Rozen wants to create a prototype shade, the size of a classroom blackboard, attached to “a brain,” to prove that the technology for the project, which he calls Cool Earth, is workable in space.“It will need a control unit,” Rozen explained, “a spacecraft that will rotate it and decide where it is and when it should turn on and off.”The satellite would send pictures to Earth of the shade’s orientation in different positions at different times.Rozen said the prototype could be launched within three to four years of a confirmed budget. However, the funds are not yet available. The sunshade was “not my idea,” Rozen told The Times of Israel. “It’s been around for about 15 years. There are some papers about such solutions. But we’re the ones trying to turn it into reality. If we can’t show that it can work technologically, then nobody else will do it.”He emphasized that if the technology could be proven, scientists would let entrepreneurs take it forward.“As an academic institution, we’re interested in doing the first step,” he said.If the technology is proven and $30 trillion can be found, the shade would have to be taken to space in stages, Rozen said, possibly in 10 square kilometer (3.85 square miles) sections. “Squares tie together better than circles,” he noted. He noted that once the shade is deployed, it would take up to 18 months for the Earth to cool by 1.5 degrees Celsius.Once that goal is reached, a few shade sections would be retained to maintain the temperature. The rest could be floated off toward the sun.Rozen said the Asher Institute had worked with the United Arab Emirates National Centre for Space and Science. The UAE had planned to present the project at COP28 in Dubai, which was held in November-December last year. But the Gulf country halted that cooperation in October following the start of Israel’s war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip after Hamas’s October 7 attacks.Rozen explained that while reducing global warming emissions was essential, that would not be enough to reverse the havoc global warming is wreaking on Earth, with extreme weather events, droughts, flooding, and wildfires.Removing emissions would slow the rate of temperature increase, but it would continue to rise for a long time before starting to come down.

Abbas declares day of mourning for Haniyeh as he blasts ‘cowardly’ killing-Mourning for political leader of terror group provides rare occasion for Palestinian unity as leaders hail him and his ‘martyrdom’By Gianluca Pacchiani-31 July 2024, 9:38 pm

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas announced a national day of mourning Wednesday over the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, as he condemned the killing as a “cowardly act and dangerous development.”Palestinian flags were flown at half-staff for the day, the Palestinian official news agency Wafa reported, as Palestinian factions announced a general strike and called for demonstrations in the West Bank after Haniyeh’s killing in a Tehran strike widely attributed to Israel. The mourning for the leader of the terror group marked a rare moment of Palestinian unity amid fragmentation and uncertainty about Gaza’s future leadership postwar. Condolences poured in from all sides of the Palestinian political spectrum, from the Islamist bloc, represented by Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, to its historic secularist rival Fatah and the communist Popular Front and Democratic Front. All hailed Haniyeh as a national leader who had devoted and sacrificed his life for the Palestinian cause, unanimously condemning the ostensible Israeli action as “cowardly.”Israel has not officially acknowledged any involvement in the killing of Haniyeh, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made no mention of him in a speech to the nation on Wednesday night. Hamas is avowedly committed to the destruction of Israel; the PA, under Abbas, formally seeks a Palestinian state alongside Israel on the pre-1967 lines with its capital in Jerusalem.Abbas offered his condolences over the phone to Khaled Mashaal, a former Hamas leader and a frontrunner to replace Haniyeh at the head of the terror group.Abbas’s top adviser, Hussein al-Sheikh, also offered his condolences for Haniyeh’s “martyrdom,” emphasizing the need for unity among Palestinian factions.Mohammed Dahlan, a former Fatah official from the Gaza Strip who was ousted by Hamas in its 2007 coup and later expelled by Abbas, also tweeted a message of mourning for Haniyeh and condemnation for Israel.Dahlan, considered one of the few unifying figures in the fragmented Palestinian political landscape, is often touted as a potential leader in postwar Gaza, though he has repeatedly rejected the idea. The Palestinian street expressed strong support for the slain leader and for Hamas, which enjoys high approval ratings in the West Bank — 41%, according to a June poll — amid growing frustration with the corruption and mismanagement of the ruling Fatah (endorsed by only 17% of residents) and its inability to stop the war in Gaza.A general strike in Ramallah, the occupied West Bank, to mourn Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and condemn his assassination by 'Israel'. pic.twitter.com/afyFOJ6KOO — Chris Hutchinson (@ChrisHu34451470) July 31, 2024-Hundreds of enraged demonstrators took to the streets of Ramallah, Nablus, and other cities Wednesday, carrying green Hamas banners and chanting, “The people want the al-Qassam Brigades,” a reference to the terror group’s military wing.Open support for the Islamist group in Ramallah is rare, as the city is the power center of the Fatah-dominated Palestinian Authority.Palestinian factions recently held a reconciliation summit in Beijing under Chinese auspices, ending with a formal declaration to work toward a unity government. However, the final communiqué is likely to remain unfulfilled, as previous unity deals have failed to be implemented. For Hamas officials, Palestinian unity did not seem a priority immediately following Haniyeh’s assassination. Their statements on Wednesday were highly belligerent, calling for revenge and retaliation for the killing of their politburo chief. From Tehran, Khalil al-Hayya, formally a deputy chief of the terror group in Gaza who lives today in Qatar, vowed to make Israel pay “a heavy price for its crime,” while the al-Qassam Brigades declared that the assassination escalated the conflict with Israel to “new levels.”On social media, condemnation of the attack was nearly unanimous among Palestinian and pro-Palestinian netizens. Some, however, directed their anger not only at Israel but also at Iran for failing to prevent Haniyeh’s death, as historic mistrust resurfaced between Sunnis and Shiites. In a tweet he later deleted, Muhammad Smiry, a young Gazan who manages a popular account on X with 840,000 followers, wrote, “Never trust Iran.”In the comments under his tweet, and elsewhere on social media, Sunni Muslims expressed their mistrust of the Shiite Tehran regime, noting that unlike Qatar and Turkey, Iran could not adequately protect its guest, and speculating that it might have even been complicit in the assassination. At the same time, others noted that the Iranian regime has done more than any Arab country to support Hamas and Islamist militias throughout the region fighting Israel.

Israel said to boost security for Olympic athletes after killings of terror leaders-Additional security personnel stationed around Israeli delegation in Paris at Olympic Village amid fears of retaliation-By ToI Staff 31 July 2024, 9:38 pm

Security around Israel’s athletes at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris was upped on Wednesday as authorities prepared for potential reprisals for the recent killings of top Hamas and Hezbollah officials, according to reports in Hebrew media outlets. The decision to reinforce the Israeli delegation’s security followed the killing of Hezbollah military leader Fuad Shukr in an Israeli strike on Tuesday night and the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh several hours later — which Israel has not commented on.The Shin Bet security agency, tasked with protecting Israel’s Olympic delegation through the games, decided in a situational assessment to bolster its security team with additional Shin Bet guards and French security officers in light of the developments back home, Ynet reported. The guards were stationed in multiple facilities where members of the Israeli delegation were present, including in the Olympic Village. At the same time, athletes were also briefed on conduct and on possible threats that could be directed against them. The Israeli team was placed under high security from the moment it arrived in Paris ahead of the games. Foreign Minister Israel Katz warned of potential threats from Iran-backed groups against Israeli athletes and tourists amid the war with Hamas in Gaza.Last week reports emerged that many members of the Israeli delegation had received threatening emails and phone calls inviting them to their own funerals and telling them not to attend the Olympics because if they did, there would be another “Munich 1972.”The threat refers to the Munich Olympics, during which a cell of Black September terrorists broke into the Olympic village and took Israeli athletes hostage, eventually killing 11 and a German police officer. The athletes were also the target of an apparent doxing cyberattack last weekend, when data including their blood test results and login credentials were published on Telegram by a hacker group calling itself “Zeus.” The group also leaked personal information revealing the athletes’ military status on social media.France’s cybercrime unit said it was pushing to get the data removed from social media.Additionally, French police said on Friday that they were investigating a person who threatened on social media to attack President Isaac Herzog, who had been in Paris for the opening ceremony. The threat was posted to X from the Val-de-Marne region southeast of Paris, and was being investigated by the anti-terrorism unit of the regional police, according to French outlet L’Equipe.

Explainer-Who are the potential next leaders of Hamas after Haniyeh’s death? The terrorist organization may struggle to appoint a new chief amid the ongoing war in Gaza, but there are several options-By AP and ToI Staff 31 July 2024, 6:05 pm

BEIRUT — Palestinian terrorist group Hamas has a history of swift and smooth replacement of fallen leaders killed in Israeli airstrikes.Ismail Haniyeh’s assassination in Tehran early Wednesday, widely attributed to Israel, comes at a time when Hamas is under extreme pressure since the war in Gaza started nearly 10 months ago, following the group’s massive Ocrtober 7 attack on southern Israel.“We are not discussing this matter now,” a Hamas official told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity when asked about the process to replace Haniyeh.Haniyeh headed the group’s political bureau until his death. His deputy was Saleh Arouri, seen as the group’s prime orchestrator of West Bank terrorism, who was himself killed in an Israeli strike in Beirut in January and would have been the automatic replacement. Arouri’s post has remained empty since his death. The group’s Shura council, the main consultative body, is now expected to meet soon, likely after Haniyeh’s funeral in Qatar, to name a new successor. The council’s membership is kept secret but represents regional chapters of the group in Gaza, the West Bank and the diaspora as well as those imprisoned. One of Haniyeh’s deputies was Zaher Jabarin, who has been described as the group’s chief executive officer because of the important role he plays in managing the group’s finances, and with that, his good relations with Iran.Hani al-Masri, an expert on Palestinian organizations, said the choice is now likely between Khaled Mashaal, a veteran Hamas official and former leader, and Khalil al-Hayya, a powerful figure within Hamas who was close to Haniyeh.“It will not be easy,” said al-Masri, who also heads the Palestinian Center for Policy and Research and Strategic Studies.Hamas’s new political leader will have to decide on whether to continue the fight against Israel, and become essentially a guerrilla and underground group, or choose a leader that can offer political compromises — an unlikely option at this stage. Hamas is avowedly committed to the destruction of Israel.Mashaal, who led the group until 2017, has political and diplomatic experience, but his relations with Iran, Syria and Hezbollah have soured over his support for Arab Spring protests in 2011. When he was in Lebanon in 2021, Hezbollah leaders reportedly refused to meet with him. But Mashaal has good relations with Turkey and Qatar and is considered a less extreme figure than others. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas called him on Saturday to offer his condolences for the killing of Haniyeh.Yahya Sinwar, the powerful Hamas figure leading the war in Gaza, is at the opposite end of that spectrum and is unlikely to support Mashaal’s leadership.Al-Hayya, like Haniyeh, is a prominent leader living in exile, originally from Gaza, with important international connections.Hamas had long had cold relations with the Iran-led “axis of resistance” over its backing for the opposition against Syrian President Bashar Assad during Syria’s civil war that began in March 2011. But in recent years Hamas began mending its relations with Iran and reconciled with Assad.Al-Hayya headed a delegation that went to Syria in 2022 and met Assad. Al-Hayya also has good relations with Iran, Turkey and Hezbollah.“He is like Haniyeh, who was balanced and flexible and both sides didn’t see his leadership as problematic,” al-Masri said. The role of the group’s leader is important in maintaining relations with Hamas’s allies outside the Palestinian territories and the choice is likely to be influenced by the group’s decisions in the coming days.Al-Masri said any choice will have to be temporary until elections are held in the political bureau. These were supposed to take place this year but have been derailed by the war.The Hamas leadership meeting may also be complicated by efforts to reach Sinwar, who remains influential and will be consulted on the choice, but who has been in hiding since October 7.A third possible contender, said al-Masri, is Nizar Abu Ramadan, who had challenged Sinwar for the role of Gaza chief and is considered close to Mashaal. The war in Gaza started on October 7 after the Hamas massacre in which terrorists murdered some 1,200 people and took 251 hostages. Israel’s retaliatory operation has obliterated entire neighborhoods in Gaza and forced some 80% of the population to flee their homes. Hamas is still holding 111 of the hostages abducted on October 7; the IDF has confirmed that 39 of them are dead. The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says more than 39,000 people in the Strip have been killed or are presumed dead in the fighting so far, though the toll cannot be verified and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel says it has killed some 15,000 combatants in battle and some 1,000 terrorists inside Israel during the October 7 attack.

Analysis-Haniyeh hit shows depth of Israel’s reach in Iran: ‘Something we have all long known’Assassination is latest in string of precise attacks deep in Islamic Republic, is ‘very embarrassing’ for Tehran, which hosted the Hamas leader for new president’s inauguration-By Stuart Williams and Delphine Touitou 31 July 2024, 5:00 pm

AFP — The killing in Tehran of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh, which the group has blamed on Israel, has exposed the extent of Israeli penetration inside the Islamic Republic, analysts say.Qatar-based Haniyeh, who the day earlier had attended the inauguration of new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, was killed in the early hours of Wednesday morning at a residence in northern Tehran, according to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.Israel, which usually neither confirms nor denies secret operations abroad, declined to comment.Details on how Haniyeh was killed remain sketchy, with Iran’s Fars News Agency saying he was “martyred by a projectile from the air,” raising speculation of a strike by a missile or a drone.Analysts see the strike as a major intelligence failure by the Iranian services and a deeply disturbing development for the Iranian leadership, especially at a time when security would have been heightened due to the influx of guests for the inauguration.Hours before he was killed, Haniyeh had held a face-to-face meeting with Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.“That the Iranians were not able to stop this assassination is very embarrassing for Iran,” said Agnes Levallois, deputy president of the Paris-based Institute of Research and Studies for the Mediterranean and Middle East (IREMMO).‘Spies in Iran’But the killing of Haniyeh is just the latest in a line of attacks believed to have been carried out by Israel inside Iran.Israel is long believed to have carried out sabotage operations through its Mossad espionage agency inside Iran — which refuses to recognize Israel — raising questions over how it appears able to obtain such detailed intelligence.“This is a confirmation of something we have all long known: the deep extent of penetration of Iranian security services by Israel,” said Arash Azizi, senior lecturer at Clemson University in the United States. In contrast to Hamas’s military leadership, Haniyeh was a figure relatively visible in public, making trips abroad including to Turkey where he held talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, most recently in April.“We know the Israelis have spies and therefore intelligence in Iran,” said Levallois.“This assassination shows the entire Israeli intelligence system is very well developed to have all the information, and therefore allow the launching of this type of operation,” she said. Most famously, according to The New York Times, Iran’s top nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was assassinated in 2020 by Mossad using a machine gun that had been assembled close to his home by its agents and then fired remotely after they left.According to the same newspaper, the number two of al-Qaeda, Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah, known as Abu Muhammad al-Masri, was shot dead in Tehran by two assassins on a motorcycle in August 2020, in an attack by Israeli operatives at the behest of the United States. The current cycle of tensions began after Hamas’s thousands-strong October 7 invasion and massacre in southern Israel, in which some 1,200 people were killed and 251 taken hostage, sparking the war in Gaza. A hundred and fifteen of those hostages are still held by Hamas in Gaza, 39 of them confirmed dead by the IDF.In April, after Iran’s first-ever direct attack on Israel, an explosion destroyed a radar system of a Russian-supplied S-300 missile defense system in central Iran. Israel was reportedly behind the attack. The method of that strike is not entirely clear. It included at least one missile fired from a warplane outside Iran and small attack drones, known as quadcopters, that could have been launched from inside Iran itself to confuse the Islamic Republic’s air defenses, the reports said.‘Extremely precise information’According to some outlets, including the dissident Persian television channel Iran International, Israeli agents have even captured and interrogated Revolutionary Guards inside Iran to obtain intelligence. There have also been suspicions, after mysterious explosions around sensitive sites, that Israel has already carried out drone attacks inside Iran, but this has never been confirmed. The killing of Haniyeh also came after Israel struck a Hezbollah stronghold in south Beirut on Tuesday, targeting a senior commander of the Iran-backed Lebanese group it blamed for a deadly weekend rocket strike on a Druze village on the Golan Heights in which 12 children were killed.“This operation shows that Iran was unable to secure the guests of the Supreme Leader and the president,” said Hasni Abidi, director of the Geneva-based Centre of Studies and Research on the Arab World and Mediterranean (CERMAM).He said the nature of the attack showed that Israel must have had “extremely precise information” about Haniyeh’s location and movements.

Op-ed: Day 299 of the war-With two strikes in enemy capitals, the war enters uncharted territory-As Israel moves to break Iran’s multifront stranglehold, the path ahead requires not only strategic wisdom and military tenacity, but also the internal cohesion that has been so dangerously absent-By David Horovitz-31 July 2024, 3:39 pm

This Editor’s Note was sent out earlier Wednesday in ToI’s weekly update email to members of the Times of Israel Community. To receive these Editor’s Notes as they’re released, join the ToI Community here. With the killings of two terror chiefs in the capital cities of two enemy nations in the past few hours, the existential war that began for Israel with Hamas’s invasion and slaughter on October 7 has now entered uncharted territory. The elimination of Fuad Shukr, Hezbollah’s most senior military official, in a strike in Beirut confirmed by Israel, demonstrated Israel’s remarkable intelligence capabilities and its capacity to carry out a precision strike even on a target who would have known that he was in Israel’s sights. And it constituted at least a symbolic response to the horrific Hezbollah missile attack that killed 12 children in an Israeli Druze village three days earlier. It was by no means unprecedented, however. The IAF killed Hamas military chief Saleh al-Arouri in a similarly precise strike in Beirut seven months ago, and, going back 22 years, killed the then-Hezbollah leader Abbas Mousawi in a strike on his convoy in southern Lebanon. The killing of Ismail Haniyeh in Iran, blamed on Israel but not acknowledged by Israel, by contrast, is a blow of a different order.-Israel has struck key figures inside Iran in the past, being widely regarded as responsible for the killing of Iran’s top nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh in November 2020, for instance. It killed Hamas’s founder, Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, in Gaza in 2004. And it has targeted the most senior figures in Hamas in foreign capitals, with the failed Mossad assassination of Haniyeh’s predecessor Khaled Mashaal in Amman in 1997.But now, according to the unconfirmed reports of Israeli responsibility, it has eliminated the head of one of Iran’s array of proxy terror groups in the heart of Iran — taking the war directly, and humiliatingly, to the capital of the Islamic Republic, challenging its sovereignty, even as Tehran was celebrating the inauguration of a new president.Until now, the ayatollahs’ regime was directing what has become a devastating multifront war against Israel since October 7 with relative impunity. Training, arming, inspiring and mobilizing forces dedicated to Israel’s destruction — from Hamas to the Houthis, Hezbollah, and militias in Syria and Iraq, while quietly advancing toward nuclear weapons — it was itself largely outside the regional war it was fueling. With one obvious exception, that is — when it chose to respond to Israel’s killing in Iran’s embassy compound in Damascus four months ago of two senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps terror chiefs by launching hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel in an almost entirely unsuccessful attack.‘Retaliation’M-Without doubt, “retaliation” will follow; I use quotation marks around that word because nobody should lose sight of the fact that this regional war was initiated by Hamas, invading sovereign Israel from the adjacent territory governed by Hamas and on which Israel had no claims, and was then escalated by Hezbollah, the Houthis et al under Iran’s direction. The Hamas of a few months ago, needless to say, would have been firing barrages at Tel Aviv for the past few hours. That danger may not have entirely passed, but Hamas’s rocket potency has immensely receded. As was the case at the very start of the war, when US President Joe Biden warned Iran and Israel’s other enemies against getting involved and dispatched aircraft carriers to underline his intent — with partial success — the stance and actions of the United States will likely be crucial as Iran weighs its options. As things stand, Israel is already a near-pariah.For all the tactical proof of pinpoint capabilities, for all the readiness to act in ways that Israel’s enemies might have regarded as improbable, for all the embarrassment Tehran is now suffering, the events of the past few hours do not in and of themselves necessarily represent a strategic turning point that will ease Israel’s crisis. Indeed, the opposite could prove to be the case. For, again, this is uncharted territory.Hezbollah has been implacably undeterred by months of Israeli counterattacks, has been deepening its strikes inside Israel, retains the undiminished capacity to wreak colossal devastation throughout Israel with its vast rocket and missile capabilities, and will not be particularly shaken even by the elimination of so senior a figure as Shukr.Since the start of the war, the Lebanese terror group has killed 25 civilians and 18 soldiers, and fired more than 6,500 rockets, hundreds of drones, and hundreds of missiles. It killed an Israeli civilian at Kibbutz HaGoshrim only on Tuesday, reconfirming the untenability of the situation in the north, from where tens of thousands of Israelis have been internally displaced, and where an ever wider swath of Israelis who have not moved south are vulnerable. In Gaza, meanwhile, 111 of the hostages abducted on October 7 remain in the hands of Hamas — 39 of them confirmed dead. The IDF is now warning that some hostages may never be found. There is no telling how the elimination of Haniyeh will impact efforts to finalize and implement a hostage-ceasefire deal, but plainly the process, yet to yield a deal in the eight months since the November truce and releases, will be still more fraught.Ready for all eventualitiesIsrael said after the elimination of Shukr that it is not seeking a wider war but is ready for all eventualities. It most certainly needs to be.And what is self-evident is that such readiness requires and depends on internal cohesion. The far-right mob rampages into two IDF bases — at Sde Teiman and Beit Lid — on Monday marked the most untenable incidents of internal viciousness, irresponsibility and weaknesss we have witnessed these past months. The sight of coalition members inciting and participating in the illegal storming of military bases, attempting to prevent the IDF from handling allegations against a group of reservists of serious abuse of a terror suspect, was the culmination of a systematic attempt to undermine the rule of law in Israel that has been a hallmark of the governing coalition since it took office at the end of 2022.Appalling as Monday’s rampages were, complete with masked, armed agitators in IDF uniforms, the events could have been even worse had not the IDF forces repelling the mob taken the greatest care to prevent the spilling of blood. As Israel belatedly moves to break the stranglehold Iran has been gradually building and tightening around us, the only path out of this uncharted territory requires not only peerless strategic wisdom and military tenacity, but also the kind of internal cohesion that has been so dangerously absent here.“We are not looking to go to war, but we are well prepared for it,” IDF Spokesman Daniel Hagari said late Tuesday after confirming the elimination of Shukr. We had better be, from within as well.

Pakistan condemns killing of Hamas chief as 'reckless act'

Islamabad, July 31 (AFP) Jul 31, 2024-Pakistan said Wednesday the killing of Hamas's political leader in an air strike in neighbouring Iran blamed on Israel was a "reckless act", while hundreds of supporters of an Islamist party held a symbolic funeral near Islamabad.

Describing the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh as "terrorism", Islamabad's foreign ministry said in a statement that "Pakistan views with serious concern the growing Israeli adventurism in the region.""Its latest acts constitute a dangerous escalation in an already volatile region and undermine efforts for peace", it said.In the evening, more than a thousand supporters of the country's largest Islamist party, Jamaat-e-Islami, gathered in Rawalpindi, a large city on the outskirts of Islamabad, hailing the "martyr Ismail Haniyeh" while booing Israel and America."I am here to show solidarity with my brothers and sisters in Palestine", Syed Obaid ur Rehman, a 25-year-old student, told AFP."I cannot be there physically but at least I can demonstrate here to make the voice of Palestine heard."Sajid Hussain, a 28-year-old civil servant, told AFP that Haniyeh's "martyrdom is a huge loss for the Muslim world".Haniyeh had travelled to Tehran to attend Tuesday's swearing-in of Iran's new President Masoud Pezeshkian.Iran is a sworn enemy of Israel and ally of Hamas and Lebanon's Hezbollah. It and Hamas have vowed to avenge Haniyeh's death, raising fears of a flare-up in the region amid the war in Gaza.Israel -- which Pakistan does not recognize -- declined to comment on the death of Haniyeh, 61, who was elected head of Hamas's political bureau in 2017.His death came just hours after Israel attacked a Hezbollah stronghold in south Beirut on Tuesday, killing a senior commander of the Lebanese militant group it blamed for a deadly weekend rocket strike on the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights.

Iraq says Hamas chief killing could threaten region's stability.

Baghdad, July 31 (AFP) Jul 31, 2024-Iraq on Wednesday condemned the killing in Tehran of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh, warning that it threatens the region's stability.Iraq's foreign ministry in a statement described the killing as a "flagrant violation of international law and a threat to security and stability in the region".The powerful Kataeb Hezbollah, part of a pro-Iran alliance of armed groups, said by killing Haniyeh, Israel has "violated all rules of engagement".The Al-Nujaba movement, from the same alliance, earlier said "the Zionists and Americans have opened the doors of hell" following the killing of Haniyeh, the targeting of a Hezbollah commander in Beirut and a US strike on pro-Iran combatants in Iraq. These "assassinations... will not deter us, but strengthen our determination", it added. In recent months, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a loose alliance of Iran-backed groups including Kataeb Hezbollah and Al-Nujaba, has claimed to have targeted Israel with drone and rocket strikes against targets. The Israeli army, without naming an attacker, has confirmed several aerial attacks from the east since April, but has said they were all intercepted before entering its airspace. The alliance had also claimed attacks on US troops in Syria and Iraq for more than three months, as regional tensions soared over the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, before suspending them in late January.Hamas said Wednesday that Haniyeh was killed in an Israeli strike in Iran, where he was attending the swearing-in of the newly-elected President Masoud Pezeshkian, and vowed the act "will not go unanswered".The strike came after Israel hit a Hezbollah stronghold in south Beirut on Tuesday, targeting a senior commander of the Lebanese militant group -- his fate remains unknown.Last night, US forces carried out a "defensive" air strike on pro-Iran Iraqi fighters who were attempting to launch drones that were deemed a threat to American and allied troops, a US official said. The strike -- which Iraqi sources said left at least four people dead -- was the first by American forces in Iraq since February.

Canadian warship sails through Taiwan Strait.

Taipei, Aug 1 (AFP) Aug 01, 2024-Taiwan's defence ministry said Thursday that a Canadian warship sailed a day earlier through the Taiwan Strait, a sensitive waterway separating the democratic island from China.China claims self-ruled Taiwan as part of its territory and has stepped up military and political pressure as relations have plunged in recent years. The navies of the United States and its Western allies, meanwhile, have increased "freedom of navigation" crossings through the strait to reinforce its status as an international waterway, angering Beijing.Taipei said Thursday that the Canadian ship's transit took place Wednesday, with the warship travelling "from north to south"."The military has monitored the situation and no anomaly was detected in our surroundings," the defence ministry statement said. The Halifax-class frigate "HMCS Montreal recently conducted a routine transit through the Taiwan Strait", the Canadian Joint Operations Command confirmed on social media platform X without providing a date"Canada supports the rules-based international order by operating in accordance with international law," it said."Our activities promote peace, resilience, and security in the Indo Pacific."Though Taiwan has only a dozen diplomatic allies, it maintains strong partnerships with various Western democracies like the United States, which is its biggest weapons seller.Last November, US and Canadian warships passed through the Taiwan Strait, their second joint passage in two months -- a move that put Beijing's armed forces on "high alert", according to China's Eastern Theatre Command.Taiwan's military has been reporting near-daily sightings of Chinese warships around its waters, as well as sorties by drones and fighter jets around the island. On Thursday, the defence ministry said 29 Chinese military aircraft and 10 naval vessels were detected in a 24-hour window ending at 6 am (2200 GMT Wednesday).aw/dhc/cwl

7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

JEREMIAH 50:3,24
3 For out of the north (RUSSIA) there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast.
24 I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon,(NEW YORK) and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD. (RUSSIA A SNEAK ATTACK ON NEW YORK)

REVELATION 18:9-11,15-21
9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,(NUKE ATTACK I BELIEVE FROM RUSSIA)
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16 And saying, Alas, alas that great city,  (NEW YORK) that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! (NEW YORK)
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.(1 HOUR NEW YORK IS GONE)
20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon (NEW YORK) be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
THE CRAZY WORLD IS STILL TRYING TO POKE GOD IN THE EYE WITH THIS USELESS WASTE OF TIME ISRAEL HATE CEASEFIRE.he continued.“When the locals realized that the elephant population was dwindling, they gradually shifted their focus to fallow deer. Identifying the deer’s plentiful source, they began to develop the unique scrapers in the same place. This is the earliest instance of a phenomenon that later spread throughout the world,” Litov said. The Mount Gerizim location, near Nablus, is especially important because numerous fallow deer bones were found there at an ancient altar site. As Gerizim is associated with the Israelite’s entry into the Land of Israel and is considered a sacred site by the local Samaritan community, “apparently, the Mountains of Samaria gained a prominent, or even sacred status as early as the Paleolithic period, and retained their unique cultural position for hundreds of thousands of years,” the researchers said.

Russia begins 3rd stage of nuclear weapons drills: army.

Moscow, July 31 (AFP) Jul 31, 2024-Russia on Wednesday announced it had launched the third stage of drills on the use of tactical nuclear weapons, which included forces involved in the conflict in Ukraine. The defence ministry said the exercises were taking place in the central and southern military districts -- which includes several North Caucasus republics and annexed Crimea -- as well as four regions of southern and eastern Ukraine that Russia claims to have annexed despite not fully controlling. The southern military district includes the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, which is home to Moscow's headquarters for the military operation in Ukraine."The third stage of non-strategic nuclear forces exercises have begun," said the Russian defence ministry in a statement. This stage of drills involves training on the Iskander-M missile systems and various aircraft, the Russian defence ministry said. The military personnel taking part will train on receiving "special ammunition" and on equipping missile systems and aircraft.President Vladimir Putin in early May ordered the staging of these exercises partly, according to the Kremlin, in response to perceived threats from Western nations, notably after French President Emmanuel Macron broached the possibility of sending French troops to Ukraine. The first stage of drills began in May.Since the beginning of hostilities in February 2022, Putin has on occasions evoked the possible use of nuclear weapons. In the summer of 2023, Russia deployed tactical nuclear weapons to its ally Belarus, which also borders Ukraine.Minsk in May also announced synchronised military drills alongside Moscow to verify its tactical nuclear weapons launchers.

Germany says will not be 'intimidated' by Putin's nuclear threats.

Berlin, July 29 (AFP) Jul 29, 2024-Germany said on Monday it was not deterred by Russian President Vladimir Putin's threats to relaunch production of intermediate-range nuclear weapons if the United States confirms its intention to deploy missiles to Europe."We will not be intimidated by such statements," foreign ministry spokesman Sebastian Fischer told a government press conference. In early July, Washington and Berlin announced that the "episodic deployments" of long-range US missiles, including Tomahawk cruise missiles, to Germany would begin in 2026.Putin on Sunday threatened to relaunch production of intermediate-range nuclear weapons if the plans go ahead."We will consider ourselves liberated from the unilateral moratorium previously adopted on the deployment of medium- and short-range strike capabilities," Putin said during a naval parade in Saint Petersburg.Putin added that now in Russia "the development of a number of such systems is in the final stages"."We will take mirror measures in deploying them, taking into account the actions of the US, its satellites in Europe and in other regions of the world," the Russian president warned.Such missiles, which can travel between 500 and 5,500 kilometres (300-3,400 miles), were the subject of an arms control treaty signed by the United States and the Soviet Union in 1987.But both Washington and Moscow withdrew from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty in 2019, each accusing the other of violations."This type of missile... had already been developed and deployed long ago" by Russia, Fischer said."What we are now planning is a response to deter these weapons from being used against Germany or other targets," he added.
