Riklin said: “The UN is charged to uphold fairness and neutrality in its work, but is this commission fair and neutral? With self-triage upon check-in and robots to help you find your way, the world’s largest emergency room opened in Israel on Thursday.The 8,000 square meter (86,000 square foot) facility, at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov), was inaugurated by President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Yair Lapid, Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz, and philanthropist Sylvan Adams.The facility was designed for both regular emergency needs and a sudden influx of casualties from war and terror. There are 100 inpatient emergency beds, more than any other Israeli hospital, and this can be doubled in an emergency scenario.Special provision is made for psychiatric patients needing emergency care, and there’s a dedicated room for people who arrive after being subjected to sexual assault, where their needs can be met with extra sensitivity.Adams, a Canadian-Israeli who has funded several high-profile projects in Israel over recent years, donated $28 million to the hospital, which is naming the ER in his honor.He told The Times of Israel as the opening ceremony got underway: “Israel is already a leader on the world stage in medicine, with Israeli scientists and doctors bringing us some of the most important research, innovations and care solutions. AP — Shipping companies are not rushing to export millions of tons of grain trapped in Ukraine, despite a breakthrough deal to provide safe corridors through the Black Sea. That is because explosive mines are still drifting in the waters, ship owners are assessing the risks and many still have questions over how the deal will unfold.The complexities of the agreement have set off a slow, cautious start, but it’s only good for 120 days — and the clock began ticking last week.The goal over the next four months is to get some 20 million tons of grain out of three Ukrainian sea ports blocked since Russia’s February 24 invasion. The time frame will allow about four to five large bulk carriers per day to transport grain from the ports to millions of impoverished people worldwide facing hunger.It also provides ample time for things to go awry. Only hours after the signing Friday, Russian missiles struck Ukraine’s port of Odesa — one of the harbors included in the agreement.Another key element of the deal offers assurances that shipping and insurers carrying Russian grain and fertilizer will not get caught in the wider net of Western sanctions. But the agreement brokered by Turkey and the UN is running up against the reality of how difficult and risky the pact will be to carry out.“We have to work very hard to now understand the detail of how this is going to work practically,” said Guy Platten, secretary-general of the International Chamber of Shipping, representing national shipowners associations that account for about 80% of the world’s merchant fleet.“Can we make sure and guarantee the safety of the crews? The firm is working with insurers and brokers to assess the risks that ships could face along the route as sea mines laid by Ukraine to deter Russia are drifting.Turkey’s defense minister on Wednesday said demining the waters was not immediately required but that plans for it could be made if later mandated.Ukrainian officials have expressed hope that exports could resume from at least one port within days, but they also have said it could take two weeks for all three to become operational again. Experts in Ukraine are working on determining safe routes for ships.Shipowners, charterers and insurance firms, meanwhile, are trying to understand how the deal will play out in real time.“I think it’s going to come [down] to the position of the marine insurers that provide war risk and how much they are going to be adding in additional charges for vessels to go into that area,” said Michelle Wiese Bockmann, shipping and commodities analyst at Lloyd’s List, a global shipping news publication.Bockmann said vessels carrying this kind of load typically have between 20 to 25 seafarers on board.“You can’t risk those lives without something concrete and acceptable to the shipowners and to their charterers to move grain,” she said.Oleksiy Melnyk, an analyst with the Kyiv-based Razumkov Center think tank, said safety issues are largely unresolved because Russian rockets can hit warehouses storing grain and ports.“Shipowners and insurance companies are scared, they haven’t received any reliable security guarantees,” Melnyk said. “We’re seeing just words and promises, which are worth little at a time of war.”Marine insurers reached by AP declined to comment on whether they would provide coverage for the ships.The war has wreaked havoc on global trade, stranding over 100 ships in Ukraine’s many ports.At the three ports in the export agreement, 13 bulk carriers and cargo ships have been stuck at Chornomorsk, six in Odesa and three at Yuzhny, data from Lloyd’s List Intelligence shows. Some of the ships might still have crews aboard that could be mobilized to start exporting grains.Ukrainian traders have been able to send some grain through the Danube River, which helped buoy exports to about 1.5 million tons in May and up to 2 million tons in June, though that is still less than half the monthly grain shipments of 4 to 5 million tons prior to the war, according to Svetlana Malysh, a Black Sea agriculture markets analyst with Refinitiv.Over the 2021-2022 marketing year, Russia exported about 30 million tons of wheat, according to Refinitiv trade flows. That is the lowest level since 2017, in part because of the chilling effect of sanctions. Russian fertilizer exports also dropped 25% in the first quarter of the year compared with the same period last year, Malysh said.For ships heading to Ukraine’s three ports, smaller Ukrainian pilot boats will guide the vessels through approved corridors. The entire operation, including the scheduling of ships along the route, will be overseen by a Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul staffed by officials from Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the United Nations.Once ships reach port, they will be loaded with tens of thousands of tons of grains before departing back to the Bosphorus Strait, where representatives from Ukraine, Russia, the UN and Turkey will board the ships to inspect them for weapons. There will likely be inspections for ships embarking to Ukraine as well.Because the process is so complex and slow-moving, it’s unlikely to have a significant impact on the price of grain worldwide.“The balance of power on this agreement still sits with Russia,” said Anderson, Dryad’s head of intelligence. Also, any Ukrainian ports outside the agreement face increased risk of attack, he said.“I think what Russia wants… is to be seen as the state that controls the narrative within the Black Sea,” Anderson said.

Lauren Byrne's daughter cried with joy the day her mom came home and announced she was no longer a full-time, permanent nurse in rural Newfoundland. After 13 years dressing wounds, caring for patients, consoling families and missing out on her own life, Byrne decided to forgo her pension and permanent career.Being a casual employee meant she could be home for Christmas and New Year's. Go to birthday parties. And keep promises. "It's a lot of, you know, 'I'm working tonight and tomorrow is the last day of school and I'm going to come home and we'll take pictures,'" Byrne said in a recent interview."And then the next morning comes and there's a sick call and there's nobody to fill that spot."Nurses in Newfoundland and Labrador are leaving the profession at a rapid rate, with more than 600 current vacancies and another 900 nurses able to retire. Byrne and another registered nurse are speaking publicly on why they believe the current system is no longer working.The labour shortage in health care has left not only the province, but also the country, grappling with a dwindling number of nurses, leading to governments and health agencies to rely on a much more expensive option: travel nurses.But the union that represents nurses in Newfoundland and Labrador says it is a dangerous precedent to set and will cost taxpayers more in the long run. Its leader is continuing to call for swift changes to mitigate disaster. It follows a Statistics Canada report in June on the labour demand in the national health-care system that showed there are double the number of vacancies in the health-care and social-assistance sectors this year than there were two years ago.Nurse Niki Parsons is wearing a mask in the foreground with a patient in a bed in the background.Niki Parsons never dreamed of retiring, but now it's a regular thought. But nothing, she says, can compare to what she is seeing now: a workplace in constant crisis management, where being short-staffed is the norm.Annual leave denied, nurses burning out-"It makes me angry that I can't go in and provide the level of care that I know my patients want and expect," Parsons said."And it makes me angry that there's nowhere for me to turn because it's almost so commonplace now."Parsons said it's not only nurses who are short-staffed. She said her hospital is routinely down porters, licensed practical nurses, personal-care attendants and secretaries — all crucial jobs that keep the health-care system afloat. But working short isn't possible in an emergency room, says Lauren Byrne."We don't know what's coming in. So we're having to work Christmas and New Year's. Half of all registered nurses are considering resigning their position to go casual.Byrne is one of them."I still love the people I work with, I still love the job, and I just need it to have more autonomy over my own schedule and my own life," she said."I will work casual and I will put money away for my own pension, but I can schedule my own shifts in and I'm not obligated to work a certain amount of shifts."'A slippery slope'One of the short-term solutions that's being used is private agencies that pay nurses a higher rate to travel to hospitals and facilities across the country to fill a need.The use of agency or travel nurses is rising across Canada, according to both provincial and national nurses' unions. Agency nurses are ultimately paid with public funds, even though they work for private companies.This is public money for a publicly funded health care system being spent on private industry - Yvette Coffey-CBC News requested data from all four provincial health authorities on the use of travel nurses this year from Jan. 1 to June 30.Central Health said it has hired 46 travel nurses, some of whom have completed multiple stints with the health authority. In an email, a spokesperson said $410,516 has been spent to date. Eastern Health began using private nurses in May and has used 14 nurses. The average cost per 12-hour day worked, which varies, depending on the area of assignment, is about $1,100. The health authority did not provide the total costs by deadline. In the Labrador-Grenfell Health region 46 travel nurses have worked, at a total cost of $1,085,788.Western Health said it had not used any travel nurses to date. However, a spokesperson later confirmed that the health authority signed a contract to bring agency nurses into its facilities but the nurses have not started work yet. "This is public money for a publicly funded health-care system being spent on private industry," said Yvette Coffey, president of the Registered Nurses' Union of Newfoundland and Labrador. "And it's a short-term fix. It's a slippery slope because our members want flexibility. Our members want time off. And they see this. And we have people leaving our system now to join agencies in other provinces."Last week, the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions and the SEIU Healthcare union called for a ban on the use of travel agency nurses in that province. Coffey wants the provincial government to explain what would happen if nurses at the health authorities left their public sector jobs to return later with a private agency — such was the case at a Manitoba hospital recently, she said. 'Mandated shifts should be illegal' Coffey's pleas are being echoed on a national level by Linda Silas, president of the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions.Silas said nurses across Canada are holding on by a thread, and provinces and territories shouldn't bear the brunt alone. "Nobody will solve this crisis by themselves and there won't be one miracle solution. It'll have to be multifaceted," Silas said. "So right now we're not seeing much from the federal government, but we're working with all the premiers to put pressure on the federal government to come to the health human resource table."Silas said the focus has to be on beefing up the public health sector with nurses who are already out there."We have to really ask nurses to return to the workforce because you have to understand that a lot of nurses are retired early or went to agencies, for example, and then work on a solid recruitment program."Focus on recruitment and retention-Tom Osborne, Newfoundland and Labrador's health minister, said last week that there would be an upcoming announcement to help address the nursing crisis.He did not get into the specifics. However, a nursing think-tank held in the spring resulted in a list of short-term solutions, including incentives for bringing retirees back, incentives to get casuals to take positions, and help with child care. Osborne said he doesn't want the public sector to rely on travel nurses."I respect and appreciate the health authorities using creative approaches to fill the gaps. However, we need to recruit. We need to retain," Osborne said."We need public servants within this province filling those roles. And that is a priority for me."But even with the nursing sector on shaky ground, both Parsons and Byrne say they would do it all over again because of their passion for the job.They hope with the right relief, incentives and planning will be the medicine it needs.

The mass will be broadcast on large screens outside the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica and on the Plains of Abraham at 10 a.m., as well as in a number of movie theatres in the province. The basilica, a national shrine with high, vaulted ceilings, sits near the shores of the St. Lawrence River, 35 kilometres northeast of Quebec City.St. Anne, by religious tradition the grandmother of Jesus, is particularly significant to Innu communities as grandmothers often deliver messages between households, said Andrée Paul, who is Innu from Pessamit in Quebec's North Shore region and has been volunteering at the basilica for almost 30 years. Pope Francis acknowledged the importance of St. Anne on his pilgrimage to Lac Ste. Anne in Alberta Tuesday, using the Cree word for grandmother. "In thinking of your kokum, I also remember my own grandmother. From her, I first received the message of faith and learned that the gospel is communicated through loving care and the wisdom of life," he said.In his speech Wednesday in Quebec City, the Pope said he wanted to express "deep shame and sorrow" for the residential school system in Canada, in which "local Catholic institutions had a part." Gen. Mary Simon and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, he gave a public address at the Citadelle, the fortress overlooking the plains and St. Lawrence River and bordering the old city.In it, he expressed feelings of "deep shame and sorrow" as he did two days prior to residential school survivors in Maskwacis, Alta., and reiterated a request for forgiveness "for the wrong done by so many Christians to the Indigenous peoples.""I think above all of the policies of assimilation and enfranchisement, also involving the residential school system, which harmed many Indigenous families by undermining their language, culture and worldview," he said."In that deplorable system, promoted by the governmental authorities of the time, which separated many children from their families, different local Catholic institutions had a part."Ceremony delayed-The papal plane landed shortly before 3 p.m. ET. JTA — Three powerful and prominent Jews in Ukraine appear to have had their citizenship stripped as their long-simmering conflict with President Volodymyr Zelensky has reached a boiling point amid the war with Russia.Last week, Zelensky reportedly either revoked or took steps to revoke the Ukrainian citizenship of two of the country’s best known oligarchs, Igor Kolomoisky and Hennadiy Korban, as well as that of Vadim Rabinovich, a former tycoon turned opposition lawmaker.The three men are among the wealthiest Jews in Ukraine, and the official reason for the move appears to be that they hold foreign citizenship — including in Israel. Dual citizenship is technically illegal in Ukraine but is widely tolerated in practice.Several alternate theories are also circulating, including that Zelensky is purging oligarchs with checkered pasts in an effort to prove to the United States and other Western countries that Ukraine has no tolerance for corruption.

What is clear is that three of the most influential Jews in Ukraine, including two who have been instrumental in funding Jewish infrastructure projects, especially in the Chabad-Lubavitch stronghold of Dnipro, appear no longer to be welcome in their native land. Korban has already been denied entrance into Ukraine at a border crossing and had his Ukrainian passport confiscated, according to Ukrainian media reports.It is also clear that the decision is generating rare pushback for Zelensky, Ukraine’s Jewish president who is widely seen as a hero for standing up to Russia.The citizenship revocations have “revealed a colossal institutional problem that has now upset a really huge number of people,” Borys Filatov, the (non-Jewish) mayor of the strategically important city of Dnipro has said, referencing hundreds of thousands of people with dual nationalities in Ukraine.Filatov, who is an ally of Korban, added that some Jews from Dnipro with Israeli citizenship are considering leaving following the move. Approached by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency for comment on this claim, the city’s rabbi, Shmuel Kaminezki, declined to comment; a source in Dnipro told JTA recently that about half of the city’s Jews had already left since the start of the war. At least 8,000 Ukrainians with Israeli citizenship were living in Ukraine when the war broke out, according to the Israeli embassy in Kyiv.No one has the right to violate the constitution, even if you have a halo glowing around your head and you feel like a god,” Zoya Kazanzhi, a prominent Ukrainian journalist, said in an interview with the NV news site earlier this week. He is also under a criminal investigation led by Ukrainian investigators and the FBI for allegedly using multiple shell companies and bank accounts to take out millions of dollars of government money for real estate investments, including in the United States. KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russian forces on Thursday launched massive missile strikes on Ukraine’s Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, areas that haven’t been targeted in weeks, while Ukrainian officials announced an operation to liberate an occupied region in the country’s south.Kyiv regional governor Oleksiy Kuleba said on Telegram that a settlement in the Vyshgorod district of the region was targeted early on Thursday morning; an “infrastructure object” was hit. It wasn’t immediately clear if there were any casualties.Chernihiv governor Vyacheslav Chaus at the same time reported that multiple missiles were fired from the territory of Belarus at the Honcharivska community.Russian troops withdrew from the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions months ago, failing to capture either. In exchange for ending the Russian blockade on Ukraine’s grain exports, the Kremlin received assurances that Western sanctions did not apply to fertilizer, opening the way to export sales.The deal was aimed at avoiding food shortages—if not full-on famine—in Africa, the Arab world, and across much of Asia.But this is the first illusion: For months, Moscow’s blockade has been designed, among other things, to produce pain in the Global South and raise pressure on the West to force Ukraine into an unsatisfactory peace with Russia.While Russian President Vladimir Putin has been called out by the United States, NATO, and the European Union for this cynical policy, he has faced no criticism from the actual victims of the policy.For instance, during a June trip to Moscow, Senegalese President Macky Sall, the current African Union chief, echoed Kremlin talking points that the food shortages were a result of the ongoing war and Western sanctions rather than Moscow’s blockade. This week, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is certainly looking for more allies during his charm offensive in Africa.The July 22 agreements took the UN and Turkey weeks to negotiate, but there was only one problem: Moscow had no reason (and probably no intention) to honor the deal. Its blockade was working. Pressure on the West was rising, and Moscow was paying no political price for the food shortage it was creating.It was not even clear why Moscow felt the need to go through the charade of signing the agreement. Whatever the case, its missile strike on Saturday ended that charade quickly—and with it, the illusion that the food crisis had been averted.This leads to the other illusion. The Biden administration understands that the United States has a major interest in ensuring that Moscow’s war on Ukraine ends in failure—which requires substantial support from Washington and its allies and partners in the West. It also understands that a Moscow-manufactured food shortage would produce a humanitarian disaster and send refugees streaming into Europe.Yet it is still under the illusion that it can achieve its objectives by slow half-steps—fooling itself that permitting Moscow to deter the United States from taking more resolute steps is actually the prudent policy of avoiding, as National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan recently underscored, “a third world war.”Time after time since Moscow began massing its troops on Ukraine’s borders, the administration has delayed sending Ukraine the weapons it needs for fear of provoking the Kremlin. Then, when it eventually sends some of those weapons, it finds that—somehow—it has indeed avoided World War III.Yet for some reason, the illusion persists. When it comes to the food crisis, Adm. James Stavridis, the former NATO supreme allied commander, has described how a humanitarian naval corridor could be set up almost entirely within the territorial waters of NATO littoral states in the Black Sea.But the White House has ruled out a US-led naval convoy to ensure grain shipments. If the Biden administration is to redeem its inaction, now is the time to seriously reconsider this decision.It is a coincidence that the Black Sea agreements were signed the same day Sullivan made his comments to explain why the White House wouldn’t send long-range artillery to Ukraine. But perhaps it is no coincidence that Moscow—seeing once more how easily it can deter Washington by waving its nuclear wand—decided to immediately break the grain-export agreement and underscore its malign intention to provoke a food crisis in the Global South.The Biden team is blowing an uncertain trumpet as it tries to project US leadership, resulting instead in supporting Ukrainian efforts to merely stave off Russian forces rather than deal them a decisive blow. He also specifically highlighted relations with Estonia and the disputed territory between the countries.“In connection with the emergence of new threats following the possible membership in NATO of Finland and Sweden, the shutdown of cross-border cooperation by European countries with our country, as well as in connection with the lack of official demarcation of the border between Russia and Estonia, additional measures are needed on the streamlining of forces and equipment for the protection of the state border,” Patrushev underlined, Interfax reports.Patrushev also called on the engagement in border protection of locals residing in the border areas. DANIEL 9:26-27
26 And after threescore and two weeks(62X7=434 YEARS+7X7=49 YEARS=TOTAL OF 69 WEEKS OR 483 YRS) shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;(ROMAN LEADERS DESTROYED THE 2ND TEMPLE) and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.(THERE HAS TO BE 70 WEEKS OR 490 YRS TO FUFILL THE VISION AND PROPHECY OF DAN 9:24).(THE NEXT VERSE IS THAT 7 YR WEEK OR (70TH FINAL WEEK).
27 And he ( THE ROMAN,EU PRESIDENT) shall confirm the covenant (PEACE TREATY) with many for one week:(1X7=7 YEARS) and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,(3 1/2 yrs in TEMPLE ANIMAL SACRIFICES STOPPED) and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

24  And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.

18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

DANIEL 8:23-25
23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king (EU DICTATOR) of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences,(FROM THE OCCULT) shall stand up.

40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south(EGYPT) push at him:(EU DICTATOR PROTECTING ISRAELS SECURITY) and the king of the north(RUSSIA) shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

ZECHARIAH 14:12-13
