Occupied Palestine, 20 August 2014 — On behalf of Palestinians everywhere, the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC) expresses its deep solidarity with the African American community of Ferguson, Missouri in the aftermath of the murder of unarmed teenager Michael Brown by a police officer on August 9th. We convey our condolences to Brown’s family and friends and to all minority communities struggling to end the still-entrenched system of racism, racial discrimination and disenfranchisement.In response to the people’s demands for justice for Michael and an end to police brutality against African Americans, police in Ferguson have shamefully launched a militarized attack against unarmed protestors. Heavily deploying tear gas and rubber bullets, police tactics partially reflected the training that some of the law enforcement agencies involved in Ferguson had received from Israeli security forces in recent years, as revealed in media reports.We recognize those tactics being used in Ferguson and the mentality behind them. The dehumanization of the victim, the corporate media distortions of the realities, the obfuscation of the root causes of the protests, and the methods of unbridled violence and control being used by security forces are all too familiar to Palestinians living under Israel’s decades-old occupation. Indeed, Israel’s dehumanization of Palestinians, particularly the 1.8 million living in the world’s largest open-air prison in Gaza, paved the way for the current massacre being perpetrated by the Israeli army. How else can Israel rationalize its murder of more than 470 Palestinian children and the obliteration of entire families in Gaza by air, sea and land bombardment? We recognize that Michael Brown’s murder is part of a system that claims the mantle of some “Anglo-American civilization” while stereotyping and endangering African Americans, especially young men, based on their race. U.S. racial justice and labor activist Bill Fletcher Jr. comments on the wider context of the Ferguson repression saying, “The racial terror against African Americans seeks to ensure that we remain immobilized and disorganized.” But our sisters and brothers in Ferguson have not been intimidated by this terror; they have shown the world their inspiring capacity to mobilize and self-organize in empowering actions against repression, for social and economic justice, for equal rights, and for a dignified future. Michael’s death has been met with outrage and anger among the people of Palestine struggling for freedom, justice and equality. We strongly believe that the oppressed of the world must stand united in the face of racism, racial repression and injustice. Together we can prevail. Together we shall prevail.
St. Louis Medical Examiner SLAMS Brown Family Hire-The Daily Caller-AUG 21,14-YAHOONEWS
The chief medical examiner of St. Louis County, who performed the first autopsy on Michael Brown after he was shot on Aug. 9, says that she is concerned by one of the men hired by the Brown family to conduct its own exam.“I can tell you absolutely that I find what Parcells does to be abysmal,” Dr. Mary Case told The Daily Caller when asked about Shawn Parcells, a Kansas-based forensic pathologist assistant. He has been accused in the past of fabricating his job title and of conducting autopsies without a license.Parcells, along with Dr. Michael Baden, was hired last week by the Brown family to conduct an independent private autopsy. They did so, they said, because they did not trust local authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into Brown’s police shooting death.The team released its results on Monday and determined that Brown was shot at least six times.One crucial determination was the trajectory of the bullet that killed Brown. Parcells explained to TheDC earlier this week that the bullet was traveling in a back to front direction, indicating that Brown was bent over in some fashion when he was struck.The location of Brown’s head when he was shot is sure to figure prominently in the investigation. The Brown family and many across the U.S. believe that Brown was “executed” by Ferguson, Mo. police officer Darren Wilson in broad daylight. Wilson reportedly claims he shot Brown in self-defense.But Mary Case, along with a number of other medical examiners and pathologists have been heavily critical of Parcells.“He is doing forensic autopsies which may send someone to prison, and he is not a physician much less a forensic pathologist,” she told TheDC, adding that forensic pathologists and medical examines throughout the U.S. “are shocked by this man and how bold he is to do what he does.”“No one stops him,” she said.Case said that Baden, 80, “is an excellent forensic pathologist.” At a press conference Monday, Baden said the same thing about her.
But Case claims that Baden was unaware of what she called Parcells’ “baggage.”“Dr. Baden did not know about Parcells’ baggage or he would not have become associated with him,” Case told TheDC. “His association with Parcells is very unfortunate.”Asked whether she is concerned that Parcells’ shortcomings are an issue in the Brown autopsy, Case said, “Of course I do.”Parcells operates National Forensic Autopsy & Tissue Recovery Services out of Overland Park, Kan.Forensic pathologist Dr. Erik Mitchell complained to a Kansas City news station earlier this week that Parcells is working without a license.And Dr. Thomas Young, the former medical examiner of Jackson County, Mo., told the station that Parcells was misrepresenting himself when he said Young was his mentor. “He has been representing himself in a way that is not appropriate by giving forensic pathology opinions when he is not qualified to do so,” Young told the station.Told of Case’s criticism, Parcells told TheDC, “Oh, I’m not surprised.”“She hasn’t liked me for a really time. So, whatever. I don’t know what else to say other than that.”Parcells told TheDC that the others who have accused him of improperly conducting exams “are just jealous.”Parcells explained how he was hired on to help with the Brown autopsy. He said that he received an email from the Brown family attorneys last week. He told TheDC that it was his understanding that Baden was contacted separately.Parcells told the attorneys that he would like to help with the autopsy. After Baden was brought on, Parcells said he asked if his assistance would be needed. He was told that Baden said he would be “delighted” to have Parcells’ help.Baden, who is a well-regarded pathologist, did not hand-pick Parcells. But Parcells told TheDC that he discussed with Baden some of the complaints that have been leveled against him in the past. Parcells said Baden told him not to worry about his detractors. Baden could not be reached for comment.Parcells provided a mixed picture of just how much input he had on the Brown autopsy.On the one hand, he downplayed his role; on the other, he said that Baden felt he contributed greatly to the investigation.“He felt that I was very instrumental in the investigation and very instrumental in helping him with his analysis,” Parcells told TheDC.But, he said, “at the end of the day, I was assisting Dr. Baden.”At Monday’s press conference when the autopsy results were released, Parcells presented the findings to the audience. Asked why he gave the explanation and not Baden, Parcells said that Baden felt he was a more concise speaker.The results of Case’s autopsy have not been released. The Justice Department ordered its own exam as well, but those results have not been released either.

THE SHOOTING ENCOUNTER
12:01 p.m. – The officer encounters Michael Brown and a friend as they walk down a street. Brown is shot to death as a result of the encounter.
TEN MINUTES AFTER THE ROBBERY BROWN AND JOHNSON WALK DOWN THE STREET-ON THEIR WAY HOME I PRESUME.OFFICER DARREN WILSON THEN SEE 2 GUYS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND STOPS THEM.AND BRIEFLY TALKS WITH THEM.THEN HE MUST HAVE LET THEM GO FOR A MINUTE OR SO.THEN WILSON HEARS OVER THE POLICE SCANNER THAT THERES A LOOKOUT FOR 2 PEOPLE WHO STOLE CIGARS FROM A STORE.AND THE ID WAS GIVEN OVER THE SCANNER OF THE CLOTHING.NOW I DON'T KNOW IF BROWN AND JOHNSON WERE CLOSE ENOUGH TO WILSONS CAR TO HEAR THE DESCRIPTION AND LOOKOUT FOR THEMSELVES.BUT THEN OFFICER WILSON BACKES UP THE CAR I THINK TO CONFRONT BROWN AND JOHNSON.BECAUSE HE SEEN THE CIGARS ALSO IN BROWNS HAND.JOHNSON I THINK GOES TO THE BACK OF THE POLICE CAR.NOT SURE.BUT BROWN WAS RIGHT BESIDE WILSONS DOOR.I THINK WILSON TRYED TO OPEN HIS CAR DOOR.BUT BROWN WHEN WILSON OPENED THE DOOR.SHUT THE CAR DOOR ON WILSON.THEN WILSON OPENED THE CAR DOOR THE SECOND TIME.AND GOT OUT OF THE CAR.BUT BEFORE WILSON COULD GET GOING.BROWN PUSHED WILSON BACK IN THE CAR.I THINK THEN BROWN STUCK HIS HAND IN THE OPEN CAR WINDOW OR OPEN CAR DOOR AND PUNCHED OFFICER WILSON IN THE EYE.AND AFTER THE PUNCH.WILSON WENT FOR HIS GUN.BUT BROWN ALSO WENT FOR WILSONS GUN.THERE WAS A SCUFFLE AND IN THAT SCUFFLE A SHOT WAS FIRED.THE SHOT MUST HAVE HIT THE INSIDE OF THE CAR DOOR AND RICO SHAYED IN THE CAR SOMEWHERE.BECAUSE NO BODY SAID WILSON OR BROWN WAS HIT BY THE GUN SHOT IN THE CAR.BROWN THEN MUST HAVE GOT SCARED AND STARTED WALKING OR RUNNING DOWN THE STREET.JOHNSON WAS WALKING OR RUNNING WITH BROWN.JOHNSON GOT OUTTA THE WAY SOMEWHERE.AND BROWN WAS IN THE CENTER OF THE STREET HIMSELF.WILSON GOT OUTTA THE POLICE CAR.AND FIRED AT LEAST ONE SHOT AT BROWN WHILE PERSUING HIM.BECAUSE HIS RIGHT HAND WAS NICKED.AND WILSON PROBABLY SAID FREEZE OR I WILL SHOOT YOU.BROWN BECAUSE OF THE NICK-TURNED TO THE FRONT TO CONFRONT WILSON HEADON.BROWN THEN STARTED YELLING AT WILSON AND TANTING HIM.BROWN WHILE TAUNTING WILSON LIFTS UP HIS HANDS TO HIS CHEST OR SO TO LOOK LIKE HE WAS READY TO COME RUNNING STRAIGHT AT WILSON. WILSON WAS THREATENED BY THE LOOK AND THOUGHT BROWN WAS GONNA COME RUNNING AT HIM.SO WILSON FIRED THE FOUR SHOTS INTO BROWNS ARM.BROWN THEN WENT TO COVER THE BLOOD FROM COMING OUT OF HIS ARM WITH HIS OTHER ARM.WHILE HIS FACE WAS TURNING TO LOOK AT THE WOUNDS.WILSON GOT OFF ANOTHER SHOT-THE 5TH AND IT WENT INTO THE TOP OF BROWNS EYE.THIS SHOT THEN PROBABLY JERKED BROWNS HEAD BACK AND FORWARD.AND BROWN STARTED FALLING TO THE GROUND AS A RESULT OF BEING UNBALANCED.BUT WILSON TOOK ONE LAST 6TH SHOT AT BROWN WHILE HE WAS FALLING AND IT WENT INTO BROWNS TOP OF THE HEAD AND KILLED BROWN INSTANTLY.AND WILSON THOUGHT TO HIMSELF.BROWN MUST HAVE BEEN ON SOME KINDA DOPE OR SOMETHING.

THE MISSOURI GOVERNOR HAS SAID THE NATIONAL GUARDS CAN GO HOME NOW.THEIR JOBS ARE COMPLETED IN FERGUSON MISSOURI.ITS 5PM AUG 21,14 AND THERE IS HARDLY ANY DEMONSTRATERS OUT THIS AFTER NOON.HOPEFULLY IT STAYS LIKE THAT TONIGHT AGAIN.ERIC HOLDER LEFT FERGUSON AND IS BACK IN WASHINGTON ALREADY.IT WAS A SHORT-SWEET-ONE DAY FERGUSON TRIP.ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT BLACK GROUPS ARE STILL CALLING FOR MCCULLOCHS RESIGNATION FROM THE CASE.AND GET A NEW PROSECUTER.THE GOVERNOR SAID NO SO FAR.WE WILL STICK WITH MCCULLOCH THANKS.

Occupied Palestine, 20 August 2014 — On behalf of Palestinians everywhere, the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC) expresses its deep solidarity with the African American community of Ferguson, Missouri in the aftermath of the murder of unarmed teenager Michael Brown by a police officer on August 9th. We convey our condolences to Brown’s family and friends and to all minority communities struggling to end the still-entrenched system of racism, racial discrimination and disenfranchisement.In response to the people’s demands for justice for Michael and an end to police brutality against African Americans, police in Ferguson have shamefully launched a militarized attack against unarmed protestors. Heavily deploying tear gas and rubber bullets, police tactics partially reflected the training that some of the law enforcement agencies involved in Ferguson had received from Israeli security forces in recent years, as revealed in media reports.We recognize those tactics being used in Ferguson and the mentality behind them. The dehumanization of the victim, the corporate media distortions of the realities, the obfuscation of the root causes of the protests, and the methods of unbridled violence and control being used by security forces are all too familiar to Palestinians living under Israel’s decades-old occupation. Indeed, Israel’s dehumanization of Palestinians, particularly the 1.8 million living in the world’s largest open-air prison in Gaza, paved the way for the current massacre being perpetrated by the Israeli army. How else can Israel rationalize its murder of more than 470 Palestinian children and the obliteration of entire families in Gaza by air, sea and land bombardment? We recognize that Michael Brown’s murder is part of a system that claims the mantle of some “Anglo-American civilization” while stereotyping and endangering African Americans, especially young men, based on their race. U.S. racial justice and labor activist Bill Fletcher Jr. comments on the wider context of the Ferguson repression saying, “The racial terror against African Americans seeks to ensure that we remain immobilized and disorganized.” But our sisters and brothers in Ferguson have not been intimidated by this terror; they have shown the world their inspiring capacity to mobilize and self-organize in empowering actions against repression, for social and economic justice, for equal rights, and for a dignified future. Michael’s death has been met with outrage and anger among the people of Palestine struggling for freedom, justice and equality. We strongly believe that the oppressed of the world must stand united in the face of racism, racial repression and injustice. Together we can prevail. Together we shall prevail.
St. Louis Medical Examiner SLAMS Brown Family Hire-The Daily Caller-AUG 21,14-YAHOONEWS
The chief medical examiner of St. Louis County, who performed the first autopsy on Michael Brown after he was shot on Aug. 9, says that she is concerned by one of the men hired by the Brown family to conduct its own exam.“I can tell you absolutely that I find what Parcells does to be abysmal,” Dr. Mary Case told The Daily Caller when asked about Shawn Parcells, a Kansas-based forensic pathologist assistant. He has been accused in the past of fabricating his job title and of conducting autopsies without a license.Parcells, along with Dr. Michael Baden, was hired last week by the Brown family to conduct an independent private autopsy. They did so, they said, because they did not trust local authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into Brown’s police shooting death.The team released its results on Monday and determined that Brown was shot at least six times.One crucial determination was the trajectory of the bullet that killed Brown. Parcells explained to TheDC earlier this week that the bullet was traveling in a back to front direction, indicating that Brown was bent over in some fashion when he was struck.The location of Brown’s head when he was shot is sure to figure prominently in the investigation. The Brown family and many across the U.S. believe that Brown was “executed” by Ferguson, Mo. police officer Darren Wilson in broad daylight. Wilson reportedly claims he shot Brown in self-defense.But Mary Case, along with a number of other medical examiners and pathologists have been heavily critical of Parcells.“He is doing forensic autopsies which may send someone to prison, and he is not a physician much less a forensic pathologist,” she told TheDC, adding that forensic pathologists and medical examines throughout the U.S. “are shocked by this man and how bold he is to do what he does.”“No one stops him,” she said.Case said that Baden, 80, “is an excellent forensic pathologist.” At a press conference Monday, Baden said the same thing about her.
But Case claims that Baden was unaware of what she called Parcells’ “baggage.”“Dr. Baden did not know about Parcells’ baggage or he would not have become associated with him,” Case told TheDC. “His association with Parcells is very unfortunate.”Asked whether she is concerned that Parcells’ shortcomings are an issue in the Brown autopsy, Case said, “Of course I do.”Parcells operates National Forensic Autopsy & Tissue Recovery Services out of Overland Park, Kan.Forensic pathologist Dr. Erik Mitchell complained to a Kansas City news station earlier this week that Parcells is working without a license.And Dr. Thomas Young, the former medical examiner of Jackson County, Mo., told the station that Parcells was misrepresenting himself when he said Young was his mentor. “He has been representing himself in a way that is not appropriate by giving forensic pathology opinions when he is not qualified to do so,” Young told the station.Told of Case’s criticism, Parcells told TheDC, “Oh, I’m not surprised.”“She hasn’t liked me for a really time. So, whatever. I don’t know what else to say other than that.”Parcells told TheDC that the others who have accused him of improperly conducting exams “are just jealous.”Parcells explained how he was hired on to help with the Brown autopsy. He said that he received an email from the Brown family attorneys last week. He told TheDC that it was his understanding that Baden was contacted separately.Parcells told the attorneys that he would like to help with the autopsy. After Baden was brought on, Parcells said he asked if his assistance would be needed. He was told that Baden said he would be “delighted” to have Parcells’ help.Baden, who is a well-regarded pathologist, did not hand-pick Parcells. But Parcells told TheDC that he discussed with Baden some of the complaints that have been leveled against him in the past. Parcells said Baden told him not to worry about his detractors. Baden could not be reached for comment.Parcells provided a mixed picture of just how much input he had on the Brown autopsy.On the one hand, he downplayed his role; on the other, he said that Baden felt he contributed greatly to the investigation.“He felt that I was very instrumental in the investigation and very instrumental in helping him with his analysis,” Parcells told TheDC.But, he said, “at the end of the day, I was assisting Dr. Baden.”At Monday’s press conference when the autopsy results were released, Parcells presented the findings to the audience. Asked why he gave the explanation and not Baden, Parcells said that Baden felt he was a more concise speaker.The results of Case’s autopsy have not been released. The Justice Department ordered its own exam as well, but those results have not been released either.
