Peering behind the scanners and pat-downs

30 November 2010: Nearly everyone is talking about the TSA and the implementation of the enhanced security measures at airports, but few are talking about the most visible seminal event that served as the catalyst for the current DHS and TSA enhanced security procedures. Enter Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, born on 22 December 1986 in Lagos, Nigeria. Abdulmutallab was one of the 279 passengers aboard Northwest Airlines Flight 253, an Airbus 330 flying from Schiphol International Airport in Amsterdam, Netherlands to Detroit, Michigan on Christmas Day in 2009. He initially boarded a KLM flight in Lagos, Nigeria, before transferring to the Northwest Airlines flight in Amsterdam.The events involving Abdulmutallab have resulted in numerous wide reaching and controversial security changes enacted by the TSA and more broadly, by the Department of Homeland Security under the direction of DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano. These enhancements have the imprimatur of Barack Hussein Obama, who has not only continued the policies of the Bush national security policy, but has dramatically expanded it. What were once incremental violations of our Constitutional rights under the previous administration have been widened and deepened under the pretext of increasing the safety of and security of the American public.

At the direction of Napolitano and the Obama security team, such changes in the name of security are not only limited to air travel, but are to be expanded to include other communal areas such as courthouses and sports stadiums. In the final analysis, however, it is the actions of Abdulmutallab aboard flight 253 that may be looked upon as the watershed event that is behind the new security procedures being implemented and expanded today.Proponents of the purchase and deployment of the body scanners and enhanced pat-downs at airports and other locations use the Abdulmutallab incident as the reason that such intrusive screening procedures are necessary. They claim that we fortunately averted a catastrophic event last Christmas, and assert that these new procedures and equipment will be instrumental in stopping similar types of attacks. Those claims are not completely accurate, yet they continue to serve as the unquestioned and persistent platform being used to deter legitimate criticism.The beauty of it lies in its simplicity, and its ability to convince many reasonable people to forsake some of their rights and liberties in the name of safety and security. Those otherwise concerned with normal life events have little interest, time or even cause to question what is really taking place directly in front of them.Although it is an undisputed fact that there are Islamic terrorists who indeed exist and are intent on causing death and destruction to the West, there are many unanswered and troubling questions, inconsistencies and problems with the circumstances and events involving Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and the actions within our own intelligence agencies in this and other matters.

To arrive at the truth behind the DHS actions that seem intent on criminalizing the activities and even the beliefs of patriotic Americans concerned for the preservation of our Constitutional rights, I believe that one logical starting point, particularly in this instance but not to the exclusion of others, would be to completely reexamine the Abdulmutallab affair.Based on my investigation to date, there are several issues that raise legitimate questions about what we have been told about this event as well as past events. There appears to be a common thread of inconsistency woven into the fabric of what we are to accept as the truth, which could explain the cause and effect relationship behind the politicization of terror.

The most blatant and commonly referenced controversy surrounding the alleged attempted bombing of flight 253 broadcast by the media has been the financial fortune made by former DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff, founder of the Chertoff Group, who has benefitted from the sale of the Rapiscan units to the federal government. Chertoff is not the only financial benefactor as I have previously pointed out in this article published on 14 November, nor does financial gain appear to be the sole factor in the deployment and use of the scanners.It goes much deeper. And the deeper the trail, the darker it gets, both metaphorically and in reality.

Indeed, there is something very odd and disconcerting when the layers of this incident are pulled back, court documents are examined, and witness accounts are considered. The official accounts of the activities of Abdulmutallab and others simply don’t add up, and within the course of my next few reports, I intend to show you that some of what we have been told is simply not true.I will expose the holes in the official accounts, and further expose the relationship between the Abdulmutallab affair and other seemingly unrelated instances that, to this point, have existed just under the radar of public trust.

WikiLeaks: A staged crime scene

1 December 2010: In the realm of criminal investigation, there are instances where a crime has been committed but the criminal, in an attempt to confuse investigators and redirect the investigation away from themselves or conceal their true intent, will alter the crime scene. That’s called staging, and is often indicated when investigators encounter details that initially appear baffling when viewed in the larger context of the crime scene.Based on my professional analysis of the available facts surrounding the WikiLeaks controversy, staging is exactly what has taken place.Over the weekend, WikiLeaks 39 year-old founder Julian Assange dumped about a quarter of a million classified State Department documents on the internet. This was reportedly accomplished through the efforts of 22-year-old Army Pfc. Bradley E. Manning. The most cursory investigation will find that Manning did not act alone, and that WikiLeaks, which first published restricted documents in 2006, has been under government surveillance, if not some level of control since then.

Given the chaos allegedly created by the document dump, including the reported threat to matters of national security and even the personal security of our operational assets, several indicators exist that point to the WikiLeaks data dump as being a staged event.Consider that while the WikiLeaks documents were being dumped, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, in a coordinated effort with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency were tasked with seizing over 80 websites for copyright infringement. If there was a genuine administrative concern over the publication of sensitive documents, it would hardly seem reasonable to direct intelligence assets in that manner.Since the government had knowledge of the document theft for several months, had time to investigate and identify digital fingerprints of those involved as well as the documents themselves, it is reasonable to question why no direct governmental action was taken when there was ample opportunity to do so.In criminal matters, it is also important to address motive. In this case, the question who benefits must be asked. After careful review of many of the released documents, it can be reasonably established that the primary beneficiaries of this exposure are the progressives, globalists and members of the power elite. The documents appear to assault our democratic process and ultimately, our national sovereignty.

When all of the factors behind the WikiLeaks data dump are analyzed, I suspect that it this event will serve as a catalyst for this administration to advance their known objectives to regulate the internet. With Cass Sunstein as the head of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs , the organized chaos created by WikiLeaks will certainly provide the requisite fodder to control the type of information available through the internet.Amid the controversy involving the data dump, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is also accused of rape and has made it onto Interpol’s wanted list. Considering the obvious staging of the data damp, it is of little surprise to also learn that Assange is the current globalists’ version of six degrees of Kevin Bacon. In this case, it is many degrees fewer, and it’s not actor Kevin Bacon, but George Soros who serves as the trivia link. Soros linked attorney Mark Stephens, who does pro bono work for the Open Society Institute, appears to be representing Assange as he remains in hiding in the UK.Indeed, a thorough forensic analysis of the digital DNA of this leak is in order.

Deadly Israeli fire rages on despite global aid

HAIFA, Israel (Reuters) – Israel struggled to contain a huge and deadly forest fire that raged on for a third day on Saturday, despite the efforts of firefighting planes from half a dozen countries.The worst inferno in Israel's history has killed 41 people, forced 17,000 to flee their homes and destroyed some 10,000 acres of woodland near the port of Haifa. By nightfall it had still not been brought under control.Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said two people suspected of starting the blaze through negligence had been arrested. Israel Radio said the suspects were 16-year-old boys from a village bordering on the Carmel region woodlands where the fire was focused.Regional police commander Roni Atiya said he believed the blaze had spread from a campfire that was not properly extinguished.It looks as though this is the result of negligence, said Atiya, adding there was no evidence of any link to terrorism.Foreign firefighting planes joined the battle to contain the blaze after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appealed for help because of a shortage of such aircraft in Israel.Planes and helicopters from the United States, Spain, Azerbaijan and Switzerland were expected to join those from Russia, Turkey, Greece, Britain, France and Cyprus, already dumping water on the flames.

NATIONS RUSHING IN SUPPLIES

Jordan, Egypt and Bulgaria were among other nations rushing in supplies such as flame retardant, fire trucks and crews, to help Israel cope with the conflagration.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas also offered to send help, in a rare telephone conversation with Netanyahu. The two were not believed to have spoken since U.S.-sponsored peace negotiations stalled in September.Abbas voiced condolences to Israel for those who died in the fire. Most were prison cadet trainees on their way to evacuate 500 inmates from a penitentiary.Netanyahu said he would establish a fleet of firefighter aircraft, which he told Abbas would be made available to Israel's Arab neighbors where necessary. Abbas also offered to send Israel several firetrucks, Israel said.The Israeli leader hit back at critics charging Israel was caught unprepared to handle the fire despite its technological savvy and smart weaponry.You cannot extinguish a mega-fire swiftly, Netanyahu told reporters after surveying a disaster scene on Saturday. He said the United States had also sought outside help to cope with natural disaster.We all get help from others. Colombia rains leave 174 dead, 1.5 million homeless

BOGOTA (AFP) – The toll from weeks of heavy rains across Colombia has risen to 174 people dead and over 1.5 million homeless, the Colombian Red Cross said Saturday.
Another 225 people have been injured and 19 were missing, Colombian Red Cross deputy director of operations Cesar Uruena told reporters. A total of 1,821 homes have been damaged or destroyed.We've never had this many people affected by the rainy season, he added, noting that the punishing rains were hitting 95 percent of the country.Some regions, including southwestern Valle del Cauca department, saw more than 12 hours of non-stop rain.More than a dozen mudslides blocked roads from Valle's capital Cali to the Pacific port town of Buenaventura, stranding hundreds of trucks and passenger vehicles.In Roldanillo, another town in Valle, 200 families were evacuated after the Cauca River overflowed and destroyed thousands of hectares (acres) of crops.A major canal ruptured in the northern department of Atlantico, flooding six villages and leaving at least 20,000 people homeless, officials said.

Faced with the dire situation, President Juan Manuel Santos hastened his return home from the Ibero-American summit in Mar del Plata in Argentina.Officials said Santos will travel directly to the port city of Baranquilla in Atlantico to meet with local authorities and help boost emergency measures for flood victims.In the central-western Andean department of Tolima, authorities opened the gates of the Prado dam and declared a red alert for some 10 villages affected by the flooding.Prado Mayor Jose Jael Florez urged the Tolima governor and relief agencies to ferry aid to those affected by the disaster, especially food, mattresses and canoes or boats.The storms were being blamed on atmospheric disturbances from La Nina, a phenomenon in which cooler-than-normal water circulates in the Pacific Ocean around the equator.

Villagers evacuated as Ecuador volcano erupts

QUITO, Ecuador – The Tungurahua volcano in Ecuador is billowing ash into the sky and sending super-hot pyroclastic flows surging down its slopes, causing authorities to evacuate nearby villages.

Hugo Yepez, director of Ecuador's Geophysical Institute, says no one has been injured nor any village damaged. He says people within 8 miles of the volanco's center were evacuated Saturday as a precaution.An eruption of ash from Tungurahua last May caused a one-day shutdown of the international airport at Ecuador's largest city, Guayaquil. Thousands of people in near the volcano also were evacuated.The volcano is 95 miles (150 kilometers) southeast of Quito, the capital. In 2006, an eruption buried entire villages and killed at least four people.

TEHRAN, Iran – Iran's intelligence minister accused the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency of sending spies in the guise of inspectors to collect information about Iran's nuclear activities, state TV reported Saturday.The claim was another sign that Iran has hardened its stance since the assassination a week ago of a prominent nuclear scientist and the wounding of another. Iran is to hold talks beginning Monday in Geneva with world powers trying to persuade it to curtail key elements of its nuclear work.Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi said that inspectors sent by the International Atomic Energy Agency had engaged in espionage and the Vienna-based agency must take responsibility for their actions. He did not elaborate or identify the inspectors Iran was accusing.Iran has increasingly alleged in recent months that the agency's inspectors have leaked information to U.S. officials and other allies. In June, Iran banned two U.N. nuclear inspectors from entering the country, claiming they had leaked false information about the country's disputed nuclear program.

Among the individuals the IAEA sends as so-called inspectors, there are spies from foreign intelligence services. The IAEA must be held responsible for this, state TV quoted Moslehi as saying.In Vienna, IAEA spokeswoman Gill Tudor said the agency had no comment on the spying allegations.The tough line by Tehran also appeared to spill over in the upcoming talks with the five permanent U.N. Security Council members — the U.S., Britain, France, Russia, China — plus Germany.Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili, called the slaying of the nuclear scientist a disgrace for the Security Council, claiming the attacks were linked to efforts to implement international sanctions. He did not elaborate. Iran also has claimed the attacks were part of a Western covert campaign to sabotage its nuclear program.Standing before a photo of the slain nuclear scientist, Majid Shahriari, Jalili also predicted there will be no progress in Geneva until Iran's rights are respected — an apparent reference to its program to enrich uranium.Talks between Iran and the world powers broke down last year when Iran rebuffed a U.N.-drafted plan to ship abroad its stockpile of low-enriched uranium in exchange for reactor-ready fuel. Low-enriched uranium can be used in reactors, but also for warheads if brought to much higher enrichment levels.The U.S. and its allies suspect Iran's nuclear work is aimed at producing weapons. Iran says it only wants to enrich uranium to make fuel for power plants and not process it to the higher levels needed to make weapons.

The twin bombings last Monday in Tehran that killed Shahriari have threatened to complicate international efforts to open dialogue with Iran's leaders over their nuclear ambitions.According to Iran, the alleged campaign has included the abduction of Iranian scientists, the sale of faulty equipment and the planting of a destructive computer worm known as Stuxnet, which briefly brought Iran's uranium enrichment activity to a halt last month. Iran's chief suspect is archenemy Israel, whose Mossad spy agency has a long history of assassinating foes far beyond the country's borders.The intelligence chief Moslehi again accused Israel's Mossad, Britain's MI6 and the CIA of being behind the daring attacks.Asked about the Iranian accusations when they first surfaced earlier this month, Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev said Israel did not comment on such matters. In Washington, U.S. State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said, We decry acts of terrorism, wherever they occur. And beyond that, we do not have any information on what happened.Iran has also expressed its displeasure with IAEA chief Yukiya Amano's report, issued this week, on its nuclear program. The report said Iran had fewer centrifuges functioning than previously believed, suggesting its uranium enrichment program was not progressing as fast as Iran hoped.Tehran says the IAEA should just inspect the nuclear facilities and not release details like how much uranium or how many centrifuges it has.Iran's foreign minister, Manouchehr Mottaki, meanwhile, repeated Iran's position that it will seek to broaden the Geneva talks to include Tehran's views on world affairs. Israel saddened as Brazil recognises Palestinian state

JERUSALEM (AFP) – Israel on Saturday said it was disappointed by Brazil's decision to recognise a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, saying it flew in the face of efforts to negotiate a peace deal.The decision was announced by outgoing Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in a public letter addressed to Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas, which was made public by Brazil's foreign ministry on Friday.The government of Israel expresses sadness and disappointment over the decision by the Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva a month before he steps down, a statement from the Israeli foreign ministry said.Recognition of a Palestinian state is a breach of the interim agreement which was signed between Israel and the Palestinian Authority in 1995 which said that the issue of the status of the West Bank and Gaza Strip would be discussed and resolved through negotiations, it said.Such a move also contravened the 2003 Middle East roadmap for peace, which said a Palestinian state could only be established through negotiations and not through unilateral actions, the statement said, warning that unilateral steps would harm attempts to build trust.

However, his comments marked the most explicit warning yet that he's considering a step that could crush lingering hopes for a Mideast peace deal.If Abbas were to take such a step, Israel, as a military occupier, would have to assume full responsibility again for 2.2 million Palestinians in the West Bank. Israel was relieved of that financial burden with the establishment of the Palestinian Authority in 1994, as part of interim peace deals.Still, Abbas might face considerable domestic opposition to dismantling the Palestinian Authority, since it employs some 150,000 Palestinians, a large chunk of the work force.The Palestinian self-rule government, which receives hundreds of millions of dollars a year in foreign aid, has limited authority over 40 percent of the war-won West Bank, while Israel has final say over the entire area and exclusive control over 60 percent of the land.Palestinian leaders currently are threatening to quit peace talks with Israel unless it freezes construction in the West Bank and east Jerusalem. VIENNA – The 35-nation board of the International Atomic Energy Agency approved an IAEA-run repository for nuclear fuel on Friday, in a move meant to limit proliferation by making domestic uranium enrichment programs superfluous.The new fuel bank, and one run by Russia that went into operation earlier this year, are meant to provide alternatives to nations wanting to develop their own enrichment program to produce fuel for civilian nuclear reactors. Kazakhstan is the most likely candidate, but the location of the new facility has not yet been formally decided.

Because enrichment can also make fissile warhead material, the fuel banks are considered a way to reduce possible nuclear weapons proliferation by making domestic programs superfluous.Iran is under four sets of U.N. Security Council sanctions for refusing to scrap its enrichment activities.Nations have a right to enrich domestically and Iran insists it is doing so only to make fuel for an envisaged network of reactors. But international concerns are strong because Tehran developed its enrichment program clandestinely and because it refuses to cooperate with an IAEA probe meant to follow up on suspicions that it experimented with components of a nuclear weapons program — something Iran denies.Both facilities are meant to ensure a reliable supply of nuclear fuel in case commercial deliveries are interrupted and both were approved by the IAEA board. They are using religion to get the support of ordinary people, said Emad Gad, of the Al-Ahram Centre for Political and Strategic Studies.We are living under a fanatic bureaucratic system. If you want to build a mosque you can get permission in no time.Egypt votes on Sunday in the run-off to a general election that tightened the ruling party's grip on power, after the Muslim Brotherhood was wiped out in last Sunday's first round which was marred by accusations of widespread fraud.Some fear a growing Islamist threat from within President Hosni Mubarak's National Democratic Party.On Friday, a Coptic opposition candidate running for the secular Wafd party accused the NDP of fraudulently claiming her seat shortly after she had been declared the winner, and blamed extremist Islamic elements inside the party.For sure this was due to an anti-Coptic faction within the NDP... a Wahhabi Salafist current, said Mona Makram Ebeid of a strict version of Islam practised in Saudi Arabia.

Sectarian tensions have been rising in Egypt after Muslims set fire to homes owned by the family of a Christian man rumoured to have flirted with a Muslim girl last month and amid threats against Copts by Al-Qaeda in Iraq.Days before last Sunday's first round, bloody clashes erupted in Cairo's Talibiya district between Coptic protesters and police over the refusal of local authorities to allow them to turn a community centre into a church.Coptic Christians comprise up to 10 percent of Egypt's 80-million predominantly Muslim population, and have been the target of sectarian attacks in the past. Clashes between Christians and police are rare, however.Two demonstrators were killed and dozens wounded, while more than 160 were arrested, including youths as young as nine.Muslim residents of the area chanted anti-Coptic slogans during the clashes and also hurled rocks at the demonstrators.

Nagib Gibrail, a Coptic activist and human rights lawyer, said he was saddened and disappointed by the government's very aggressive response to the Talibiya protests.
They used real bullets and with these bullets they killed two people.The NDP have been promising that they will change things for 15 years. They repeat those promises before the elections take place. They promised, for example, that they would change the law governing the right to build churches, and this never happened,Gibrail added.

But he believes discrimination goes far beyond that.He said the education system is entirely Islamic, with no reference to Coptic culture, that Copts are often barred from attaining senior government posts, that Muslim authors get away with publishing inflammatory anti-Coptic articles and Muslims are prohibited from converting to Christianity.The US State Department in a report last month also complained about the state of religious freedom in Egypt, singling out minority groups such as Christians, saying they face personal and collective discrimination.Political science professor Mustafa Kamel al-Sayyed agrees that there is a popular Islamist trend sweeping Egyptian society and that the Copts have good reason to feel marginalised. But he also argues that the Islamisation of society does not come from the government, as demonstrated by its severe crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood in the run-up to the legislative election.I think it is an expression of a trend that affects many Muslim countries... It is a threat not just to the Copts but also to people who do not agree with the ideas of the Islamists, Sayyed told AFP.But others fear the Mubarak government has allowed this trend to pervade the nation.

Discrimination against the Copts is systematic and comprehensive in Egypt. You find it in government bureaucracy, in the courts, in the police and in the universities, according to Emad Gad.A court hearing is due later this month in the trial of three Muslim men accused of killing six Copts in southern Egypt in January as they emerged from mass on the eve of Coptic Christmas.Gad said he thought it unlikely the outcome would be satisfactory.

Let us look in Evil Santa’s bag of tricks.The Biggest item the progressives and Republicans are arguing about that needs fixing immediately since it was left by the Democrats, is the Bush tax cuts. The big and boring spin from the President and leftists is that they would support putting back the tax breaks for those making less than $250,000 a year but not for those, small business owners and all, who make more than that. Business owners and anyone daring to make over $250,000 a year can pay more and take the punishment. They simply deserve it for daring to achieve, for daring to create jobs and take the risks. The left simply thinks it is beyond selfish to actually be rewarded for your achievement, sacrifice and risk taking. Instead, all who make money and supply jobs should joyfully stand in a line to redistribute any money they earned or wealth they achieved. Where is that Christmas spirit you evil achievers?

What we really need in this country is to gut the IRS and have real CHANGE and reform with taxation. The only fair thing in my book is to have a national sales tax on everything and no other tax at all. Yes, give an exemption to our seniors regarding food and medicine. This would force all tax evaders, high rollers and illegal aliens to pay their fair share at the point of purchase. People could actually keep their income earned and buy things……hark, healing up the economy. Instead, what we have is an Un-American, anti Capitalist regime in the White House who believes that big Government should control and mandate everything, including our paychecks. They must have control over our checks and assets because of their heartfelt commitment to redistribution and communism.

Other Lame Brain pushes

The progressives are also pushing to get Don’t ask, don’t tell repealed with the defense authorization bill. This is the gay and leftist mantra and celebrity cause. The only problem is that the vast majority of our military including the vast majority of our high up military leaders don’t want a change. Things have been going just fine the way they are for years. In fact, it is safer and better for Gays to keep their sexuality private in our military. Our armed forces were never meant to be a battlefield for political agendas. We are a nation at war fighting real and vicious Islamic radicals. We are not in an overseas contingency operation. We don’t need coming out parties, guys declaring crushes on other guys, and stare downs in the shower. Gays aren’t persecuted in our military now. They are just told to put their sexuality back in their private bedroom where it belongs and shut up about it. This makes total sense to me and more importantly most of our military. But no, the progressives are trying in the Lame Brain session to cram this through. We are all homophobic for seeing the real value in don’t ask don’t tell. Oh well, I’m also Islam phobic, berther, domestic terrorist and the antichrist.

This bill would put kids of illegal immigrants on the path to legal residence. They would also get instate tuition when they go to College. What is the big emergency and need to ad billions more debt and more authority to the FDA? There is none! Food-borne illnesses have always happened.Our technology and advances in food safety have and continue to lead in the world. Food providers and farmers already pasteurize, disinfect, clean and take all kinds of steps to protect our food supply. By making Farming and the Food industry more expensive, regulated and paperwork heavy it does only one thing, bankrupts America’s farmers and food supply! It has nothing to do with real safety. It has only to do with stealing from, starving and controlling the American people even more.

1.It puts all US food and all US farms under Homeland Security and the Department of Defense, in the event of contamination or an ill-defined emergency. It resembles the Kissinger Plan.
2.It would end US sovereignty over its own food supply by insisting on compliance with the WTO, thus threatening national security.
3.It would allow the government, under Maritime Law, to define the introduction of any food into commerce (even direct sales between individuals) as smuggling into the United States.
4.It imposes Codex Alimentarious on the US. A global system of control over food. It allows the United Nations, World Health Organization and Agriculture Organization to take control of every food on earth and remove access to natural food supplements.
5.It would remove the right to clean, store and thus own seed in the US, putting control of seeds in the hands of Monsanto and other multinationals, threatening US security.
6.It includes NAIS, an animal tractability program that threatens all small farmers and ranchers raising animals. The UN is participating through the WHO, FAO, WTO, and World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) in allowing mass slaughter of even heritage breeds of animals and without proof of disease.
7.It extends a failed and destructive HACCP to all food, thus threatening to do to all local food production and farming what HACCP did to meat production – put it in corporate hands and worsens food safety.
8.It deconstructs what is left of the American economy. It takes agriculture and food, which are the cornerstone of all economics, out of the hands of the citizenry and puts them in total control of multinational corporations.
9.It would allow the government to mandate antibiotics, hormones, slaughterhouse waste, pesticides and GMOs.
10.It uses food crimes as the entry into police state power and control. The bill postpones defining all the regulations to be imposed; postponed defining crimes to be punished, postpones defining penalties to be applied. It removes fundamental constitutional protections from all citizens in the country, making them subject to a corporate tribunal with unlimited power and penalties, and without judicial review.
Just as the ‘kabuki theatre TSA’ has nothing to do with real airline security, S510 Food safety bill has nothing to do with protecting the American people and food safety. This is simply one of many attacks on our freedoms, Health care, False Airport security, Stimulus bills that only pay big dog sell outs and now a full court press to take over and gut our food supply. Saul Alynsky and Barack Obama Senior would be proud!

U.S. Government: Outreach or complicity with terrorists? By Douglas J. Hagmann

3 December 2010: There are some deeply troubling aspects pertaining to the U.S. government’s approach to the war against terror that need to be fully addressed and investigated. It has often been considered unpopular and unpatriotic to question the official accounts of various aspects of 9/11 and the government’s handling of issues related to that event. Based on an honest assessment of investigative reports, recent revelations and current government sanctioned activities, however, it would be unpatriotic not to do so.Consider that the primary reason given by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that all air passengers must be subjected to a full body scan or an enhanced pat-down stems from the actions of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the 2009 Christmas Day underwear bomber and threats related to his modus operandi. Beyond the obvious irregularities surrounding that event (and the subject of a future report), the inspiration, facilitator and instructor of that failed attack has been publicly identified as Anwar al Awlaki (a/k/a Anwar Nasser Abdulla Aulaqi). Al Awlaki is currently at large and being sought by our intelligence agencies.It was first reported by Fox News correspondent Catherine Herridge that Al Awlaki was a guest at a luncheon held at the Pentagon just months following the 9/11 attacks as part of an official government outreach program. Despite being vetted, Al Awlaki had a long criminal history stemming back at least a decade-and-a-half before 9/11. According to investigative reports, Al Awlaki was interviewed by the FBI on 17 September 2001 due to his relationship to three of the hijackers, although was inexplicably released.Following that luncheon, he was identified as the inspiration behind Fort Hood killer Nidal Malik Hassan, the guidance counselor to the thwarted Times Square bomber, two alleged would-be New Jersey Muslim terrorists arrested in June, and the now infamous attempted Christmas Day airline bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.

Despite the vast amount of information contained in the FBI, CIA and Pentagon files that have existed about Anwar al Awlaki for at least two decades, references within the 9/11 Commission Report are often overlooked. The 9/11 Commission Report, formally named the Final Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, was the product of an investigation that began on 22 November 2002 and lasted through the summer of 2004. The final report was published on 22 July 2004. The report noted that al Awlaki remained under suspicion by the Commission, but despite the money and resources at their disposal, they had been unable to locate him. One is forced to wonder how hard they tried, or if they tried at all.As reported in the UK Telegraph last month, Al Awlaki hardly kept a low profile. It was revealed that al Awlaki spent a great deal of time on a speaking circuit in the UK, radicalizing Muslims in a series of lectures and sermons at about the same time he was being sought by the Commission investigators. According to documented sources, Al Awlaki arrived in Great Britain in early 2002, at which time he began his speaking tour at various mosques and Islamic centers. He remained in the UK through the end of 2003 or early 2004, although the exact dates of his arrival and subsequent departure appear to vary depending on which intelligence source is queried. According to published accounts, however, al Awlaki was physically present and delivered a sermon at the East London Mosque as late as 26 December 2003. His appearance at this location was no secret, so the assertions by the 9/11 Commission that they simply could not locate al Awlaki are either untrue or indicative of the shameful ineptitude of the Commission. Regardless of the reason, many innocent people are dead because of Al Awlaki.

Al Awlaki’s presence at the ELM did not end in 2003. On 1 January 2009, he delivered a lecture by video conference to its membership, preaching jihad against non-Muslims and inciting terrorism in general.The is little dispute that Anwar al Awlaki made the East London Mosque (ELM) and Islamic center his home base while in the UK. The East London Mosque is also home to the Islamic Forum of Europe, a Muslim organization that was exposed by a six-month undercover investigation by the UK’s Telegraph and Channel 4 for their ties to the Taliban, terrorists related to the 1993 WTC bombing, and numerous other extremists.It is evident that the East London Mosque and Islamic Center has obvious ties to Islamic terrorists and hosted al Awlaki, either personally or virtually, through 2009.In consideration of the above, any patriotic American or anyone with reasonable sensibilities would have to question the latest U.S. government outreach program hatched under the Obama administration. Incredibly, the focus of the U.S. outreach program in the UK was the East London Mosque.Last Monday, the U.S. Ambassador to the Great Britain, Louis B. Susman, visited the East London Mosque (ELM) at the direction of the U.S. State Department. During his visit, Ambassador Susman expressed his great admiration of the mosque, its leadership and its members. Additionally, he extended an invitation to Muslim youth from the mosque to enroll in the U.S. embassy’s cultural and interfaith program, which coordinates trips for young Muslims to the United States. This U.S. embassy-funded initiative is being paid for with U.S. tax dollars.

The outreach by Ambassador Susman was part of President Barack Hussein Obama’s call for a renewed dialogue with Muslim communities around the world that is being spearheaded by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. What the ambassador and the U.S. State Department declined to address are the direct and unquestionable connections between the East London Mosque and terrorists.The current actions of this administration combined with the historical decisions of the former administration begs the question: is it ignorance or complicity? In either case, it is inexcusable, and a full investigation must be launched that encompasses all aspects of our government’s involvement with terrorists and terror events from 9/11 to the present. Anything less would be an affront to those who have died on American soil or on behalf of our country.
