2 PETER 3:8
8  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

PSALMS 90:4
4  For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

EVEN CREATION IS ONE THOUSAND YEARS IN JESUS SITE IS ONE DAY.SO ONE DEAD ISRAELI TO ONE THOUSAND DEAD ENEMIES FITS RIGHT IN WITH CREATION.THE WORLD GOES ON FOR 6 THOUSAND YEARS-THEN THE 7 THOUSANDTH YEAR IS JESUS' RULE FROM JERUSALEM FOR ONE THOUSAND YEARS-THEN FOREVER.AND IN WAR IS THE SAME BY CREATION.FOR EVERY ONE DEAD ISRAELI-ONE THOUSAND DEAD ENEMIES WILL OCCUR.

ISAIAH 30:17
17 A thousand will flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five you will all flee away, till you are left like a flagstaff on a mountaintop, like a banner on a hill."

PSALMS 91:7
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

LEVIDICUS 26:7-8
7 You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you.
8 Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you.

DEUTERONOMY 32:30
30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?

EZEKIEL 39:11-21
11  And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog (RUSSIA-ARAB-MUSLIMS) a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.(THE ARAB-MUSLIM-RUSSIA BURRIAL SPOT WILL BE EAST OF THE DEAD SEA IN THE JORDAN VALLEY)
12  And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.
13  Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.
14  And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.
15  And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog.
16  And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.
17  And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
18  Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
19  And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
20  Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.
21  And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

GENESIS 16:11-12
11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her,(HAGAR) Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael;(FATHER OF THE ARAB/MUSLIMS) because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
12 And he (ISHMAEL) will be a wild (DONKEY-JACKASS) man;(ISLAM IS A FAKE AND DANGEROUS SEX FOR MURDER CULT) his hand will be against every man,(ISLAM HATES EVERYONE) and every man's hand against him;(PROTECTING THEMSELVES FROM BEING BEHEADED) and he (ISHMAEL ARAB/MUSLIM) shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.(LITERAL-THE ARABS LIVE WITH THEIR BRETHERN JEWS)

IDF commander seeks God’s help to fight ‘blasphemous’ Gazans-Col. Ofer Winter criticized for letter to Givati Brigade officers, calling for divine aid in fighting ‘foe which curses God’s name’-By Times of Israel staff July 12, 2014, 1:41 pmAn IDF infantry brigade commander has come under criticism after composing a letter to his subordinate officers in which he called upon the divine to assist Israel in fighting a “blasphemous” foe in the Gaza Strip. In an official dispatch sent to battalion and company commanders on July 9, Givati Brigade commander Colonel Ofer Winter told his subordinates that “History has chosen us to spearhead the fighting (against) the terrorist ‘Gazan’ enemy which abuses, blasphemes and curses the God of Israel’s (defense) forces.”The letter came to light as Israel gears up for possible ground operations against Hamas in the Palestinian territory. A ground incursion would in all likelihood involve the Givati Brigade.“We have planned and prepared for this moment and we take the mission upon ourselves out of commitment, complete humility, and because we are prepared to endanger ourselves and lay down our lives in order to protect our families, our people and our homeland,” he wrote in the letter.Winter then invoked the Shema — the traditional Jewish prayer of allegiance to the one God — and called upon “the God of Israel” to “make our path successful as we go and stand to fight for the sake of your people of Israel against a foe which curses your name.”Mickey Gitzin, executive director of Israel Hofshit — an organization which promotes religious freedom — called the letter outrageous, according to a report on Walla News.“It turns the conflict from a one against terror to a religious war on any resident of Gaza,” Gitzin said. He added that there was a growing phenomenon of religious terminology entering the military and called the trend extremely dangerous.“I would expect IDF commanders to remember that the IDF is the army of the people and not a religious militia,” Gitzin said. The head of Hiddush, an Israeli freedom of religion organization, condemned what he called Winter’s “unacceptable and most problematic intermingling of religion with the army.”Israeli Reform Rabbi Uri Regev said in a statement that it was important for Winter’s superiors to make clear to him the difference between raising the morale of the troops and invoking a religious war against Hamas, and that they should remind Winter of “the required separation of religious faith and military duties.”There was no immediate comment from the IDF about Winter’s letter.

Canada accuses UN official of unfairly criticizing Israeli military action in Gaza-The Canadian Press By The Canadian Press | JULY 12,14-YahooNews
OTTAWA - Prime Minister Stephen Harper's government is taking aim at the United Nations once again, this time over comments a senior official made about Israel's attacks on Gaza.Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird says the UN High Commissioner's criticism of Israel's response to rocket attacks from Gaza are uncalled for.Navi Pillay said this week that there should be an immediate ceasefire, citing reports of many civilian casualties. In a statement issued Saturday, Baird accused Pillay of focusing her comments on Israel and said that is neither "helpful nor reflective of the reality of this crisis."Baird says there can't be any "moral equivalence" between a democratic state like Israel and Hamas, which he calls a listed terrorist organization with a blatant disregard for human life.He says Israel's military has taken extraordinary steps to reduce civilian casualties.Harper has been a fervent supporter of Israel and a long-time critic of the United Nations and its officials.Israeli officials have said round-the-clock airstrikes have hit Hamas hard, taking out some of the militant group's rocket-launchers and storage sites.Israel took action this week in response to what it said was weeks of heavy rocket fire out of the Hamas-controlled Gaza.

Israeli bombing turns Gaza into ghost town-Associated Press-By KHALID KAZZIHA-JULY 12,14-YahooNews
GAZA CITY, Gaza (AP) — It's the holy month of Ramadan, when people throughout the Muslim world meet with friends and family, buy presents for loved ones and break a day-long fast each evening amid colorful street scenes. But not in Gaza City, one of the world's most densely populated cities. A ceaseless Israeli bombing campaign, with airstrikes every five minutes, has turned the frenetic hub of the Gaza Strip into a virtual ghost town, emptying streets, closing shops and keeping hundreds of thousands of people close to home where they feel safest from the bombs. In Israel, hundreds of rockets fired by Gaza militants also send civilians running into bomb shelters and staying close to home. However, there have been no fatalities there, while the death toll in Gaza topped 120 on Saturday from the five-day offensive. In Gaza, residents remain torn between fear for their safety and sadness over the loss of a normal Ramadan, usually a time of deep spirituality leavened by great joy and celebration."The situation is very bad and not usual at all," housewife Umm Al-Abed said. "People in the month of Ramadan used to visit each other and go to buy things that are only sold during Ramadan. But now because of the atmosphere of war, people are afraid to go out and there are no salaries for anyone."s she spoke, she searched in vain for open shops on Omar Mukhtar, one of the city's main thoroughfares, where she had hoped to buy special foods for the holiday."The economy is very bad and as you can see the shops are all closed and the people are all in their homes," she said.In nearby Jabalya, 77-year-old Ibrahim Mahmoud Daoud looked on grimly as several young men from the neighborhood helped him sift through the rubble of his two-story home, leveled early Friday by a bomb dropped from an Israeli warplane. A father to eight — seven married daughters and an unmarried son — Daoud sounded defiant as he considered the latest violent round in the long-running struggle between Israel and Hamas. It was not clear why the home was targeted. Israel says it targets buildings used by Hamas for military purposes."We don't need houses," Daoud said. "What we need is a country. I wish I were a young man, so I could wear a suicide belt and go blow myself up in Tel Aviv."Some quietly criticize Hamas. Abu Ali, a driver for his family business who identified himself only by his first names to avoid Hamas retribution, insisted that at least in his immediate neighborhood, the movement was widely reviled."Everybody here hates Hamas," he said. "But they're too afraid to say so publicly. Our food comes from Israel but what we give them in return is rockets — rockets that don't even make little holes in the ground."

Israel widens air attack, Gaza death toll tops 125-Associated Press-By NAJIB JOBAIN and ARON HELLER-JULY 12,14-YahooNews
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israel widened its air assault against the Gaza Strip's Hamas rulers on Saturday, hitting a mosque, Hamas-affiliated charities and an Islamic home for the disabled, as Palestinians said the death toll from the five-day offensive rose to over 125.While Israel vowed to press forward with its 5-day-old campaign, it found itself facing growing international calls to stop. In New York, the U.N. Security Council unanimously called for a cease-fire, while Britain's foreign minister said he would be discussing cease-fire efforts with his American, French and German counterparts on Monday. The 15-member Security Council issued a press statement calling for a de-escalation, restoration of calm and a resumption of Mideast peace talks. The press statement, which is not legally binding but reflects international opinion, was the first response by the U.N.'s most powerful body.An Israeli official said the goal of the operation is to restore quiet to Israel for a continuous period. "This goal will be achieved whether it is done militarily or diplomatically. Israel will consider any suggestion that will bring the accomplishment of this goal," the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media. The military said it has struck more than 1,100 targets, including Hamas rocket launchers, command centers and weapon manufacturing and storage facilities, in a bid to stop relentless rocket fire coming Gaza. Officials in the territory said that two women were killed in the attack on the disabled center. The central Gaza mosque was being used to conceal rockets like those militants have fired nearly 700 times toward Israel over the past five days, the military said. However, the strikes in the densely populated Gaza Strip show the challenge Israel faces as it considers a ground operation that could potentially pose further dangers to civilians.Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Kidra said Israeli strikes raised the death toll there to 127, with more than 920 wounded. Among the dead was a nephew of Ismail Haniyeh, a top Hamas leader, who was killed in an airstrike near his home, Hamas officials said.Hamas militants have been hit hard. Though the exact breakdown of casualties remains unclear, dozens of the dead also have been civilians. Israel has also demolished dozens of homes it says are used by Hamas for military purposes."Am I a terrorist? Do I make rockets and artillery?" screamed Umm Omar, a woman in the southern town of Rafah whose home was destroyed in an airstrike. It was not immediately known why the building was targeted. The offensive showed no signs of slowing down Saturday as Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon said his country should ready itself for several more days of fighting."We have accumulated achievements as far as the price Hamas is paying and we are continuing to destroy significant targets of it and other terror organizations," Yaalon said after a meeting with top security officials. "We will continue to punish it until quiet and security returns to southern Israel and the rest of the country."Hamas said it hoped the mosque attack would galvanize support for it in the Muslim world."(It) shows how barbaric this enemy is and how much it is hostile to Islam," said Husam Badran, a Hamas spokesman in Doha, Qatar. "This terrorism gives us the right to broaden our response to deter this occupier."The Israeli military released an aerial photo of the mosque it hit, saying Hamas hid rockets in it right next to another religious site and civilian homes. It said Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other Gaza militant groups use religious sites to conceal weapons and establish underground tunnel networks, deliberately endangering civilians.Critics say such allegations are too sweeping, and that Israel's heavy bombardment of one of the densely populated territories is itself the main factor putting civilians at risk.Sarit Michaeli of the Israeli human rights group B'Tselem said that while using human shields violates international humanitarian law, "this does not give Israel the excuse to violate international humanitarian law as well."Israel issues early warnings before attacking many Gaza targets and the military says it uses other means to do its utmost to avoid harming bystanders. But Michaeli said civilians have been killed when Israel bombed family homes of Hamas militants or when residents were unable to leave their homes quickly enough following the Israeli warnings. The "Iron Dome," a U.S.-funded, Israel-developed rocket defense system, has intercepted more than 130 incoming rockets, preventing any Israeli fatalities so far. A handful of Israelis have been wounded by rockets that slipped through.Militant rockets have reached further into Israel than ever before, with air raid sirens sounding even in the northern city of Haifa, 100 miles (160 kilometers) away.On Saturday, air raid sirens went off in Jerusalem, about 45 miles (70 kilometers) from Gaza, for a third time. The rocket landed near the Palestinian city of Hebron in the West Bank, damaging a house but causing no injuries. The frequent rocket fire has disrupted daily life in Israel, particularly in southern communities that have absorbed the brunt of it. Israelis mostly have stayed close to home. Television channels air non-stop coverage of the violence and radio broadcasts are interrupted live with every air raid siren warning of incoming rockets. The frequent airstrikes have turned the normally frenetic Gaza City into a virtual ghost town during the normally festive monthlong Ramadan holiday, emptying streets, closing shops and keeping hundreds of thousands of people close to home where they feel safest from the bombs. The offensive is the heaviest fighting since a similar eight-day campaign in November 2012 to stop Gaza rocket fire. The outbreak of violence follows the kidnappings and killings of three Israeli teenagers in the West Bank, and the kidnapping and killing of a Palestinian teenager in an apparent revenge attack.Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to press on with the campaign until there is a halt to rocket attacks. Israel has massed thousands of troops along the border in preparation for a possible ground invasion, with soldiers atop vehicles mobilized and ready to move into Gaza if the order arrives.A senior military official said Saturday that Israel estimated Hamas still had thousands of rockets in its arsenal and it would take Israel more time to eliminate the threat to its civilians."There is no knockout. It is more complicated," he said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of military guidelines.Israel asserts it has strong support from its allies to hammer Hamas, but it has begun coming under international pressure as Palestinian casualties have grown. In London, Foreign Minister William Hague of Britain, a close Israeli ally, said he had spoken to his Israeli counterpart and called for an "immediate de-escalation" and expressed his "deep concern" about civilian casualties. He called for "urgent, concerted international action to secure a cease-fire" and said he would discuss that goal with his American, French and German counterparts in Vienna on Monday. The Arab League said foreign ministers from member states will hold an emergency meeting in Cairo on Monday evening to discuss the continued Israeli offensive and measures to urge the international community to pressure Israel.Egypt, which historically has served as a mediator between Israel and Hamas, appears less eager to help out this time. Hamas was particularly close to the Muslim Brotherhood, who the current leadership banned after driving it from power last year.Still, it has tried to show support for Palestinians by opening its crossing with Gaza, allowing deliveries of food and medical supplies and evacuation of some wounded.____Heller reported from Tel Aviv, Israel. Associated Press writers Mohammed Daraghmeh in Ramallah, West Bank, and Maamoun Youssef in Cairo contributed to this report.

Liberman: Time to Put an End to Hamas's Rule Over Gaza-Foreign Minister says that an aerial operation is not enough to complete the goal of ending Hamas's rule in Gaza.-By Elad Benari, Canada-First Publish: 7/12/2014, 1:27 AM-IsraelNationalNews

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman (Yisrael Beytenu) said on Friday that it was time to put an end to the Hamas rule of Gaza, and that an aerial operation is not enough to accomplish this.Speaking to Channel 2 News, Liberman noted that Operation Protective Edge is the third IDF operation in Gaza over the past five years, and added that this time it was important “not only to stop the rocket fire now, but to prevent a fourth operation.”"I hear the citizens and have been speaking with dozens of them in recent days," he said. "Everyone says, ‘Go all the way, we have patience, we are prepared to take [rocket fire]'. But we cannot repeat the same script every few months. We need to put an end to this phenomenon.”Liberman continued, "Right now we are focused on the goals defined by the Prime Minister, stopping the rocket fire by Hamas and damaging terrorist infrastructure, but you have to understand that there is the next step. Harming terrorism from the air is not enough, because most of the terrorist infrastructure is under schools, medical clinics and multi-story buildings.”"If we only achieve a ceasefire, then in another 10-15 months we will be back for another round, and this time Hamas will increase the amount of missiles as well as its tunnel digging,” he stressed.Liberman has long been a proponent of Israel retaking Gaza in order to completely stop the rocket fire. Last week, before the current operation began, he called for Israel to launch a military operation in Gaza similar to the large-scale Operation Defensive Shield which took place in Judea and Samaria in 2002.In Friday’s interview, Liberman was also asked about his announcement this past Monday that his faction is splitting off from Likud's and will be independent from it from now on.“Yisrael Beytenu is the most stable faction in the coalition with the least problems. I think it's cynical to stay in a framework that you understand no longer exists,” he said, and stressed that he has no plans to quit the coalition."There are differences of opinion. This is the most colorful coalition I know. There is nothing in common between Yael German and Orit Strook, or between Amram Mitzna and Uri Ariel. But you cannot be one party with different views on various points and issues,” said Liberman.(Arutz Sheva’s North American Desk is keeping you updated until the start of Shabbat in New York. IAF Hits Rocket Launcher, Hamas Gathering in Gaza-Latest Israeli airstrikes target launcher used to fire rockets at Tel Aviv and a gathering of Hamas terrorist in Gaza City.By Elad Benari, Canada-First Publish: 7/11/2014, 11:10 PM-IsraelNationalNews

The Israel Air Force (IAF) on Friday night launched several airstrikes in Gaza, hitting the launcher from which rockets were fired towards Tel Aviv earlier in the evening.A second airstrike targeted a gathering of Hamas terrorist in the Sajaiya neighborhood in Gaza City. Palestinian Authority media reported that several people were wounded in the attack. The airstrikes are a part of Operation Protective Edge, which was in its fourth day on Friday.Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said on Friday afternoon that the operation will continue until rocket fire from Gaza terrorists stops."The pace of attacks in this operation is double that of Operation Pillar of Defense and the military strikes will continue until we can be certain that the quiet has returned to Israeli citizens," declared Netanyahu, who made clear that "no terrorist target in the Gaza Strip is immune, but it must be pointed out that Hamas's leaders, commanders and activists are hiding behind the residents of Gaza and they are responsible for any injury to them."IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz said on Friday that the operation will be widened as necessary."They made a mistake in Gaza in deciding to exert force against us. They understand that it was a great mistake. At this stage we are using all of our offensive means. On the other hand, we know there are civilians (in Gaza), Hamas has turned them into hostages," said Gantz.(Arutz Sheva’s North American Desk is keeping you updated until the start of Shabbat in New York. Netanyahu Vows Operation Will Continue Until Rockets Stop-Prime Minister brushes off international pressure, says only way military op. will end is unconditional ceasefire by Hamas.-By Arutz Sheva Staff-First Publish: 7/11/2014, 7:06 PM-IsraelNationalNews

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that he would not bow to world entreaties to stop Operation Protective Edge, until rocket fire from Gaza terrorists ceased."This is the fourth day of Operation Protective Edge. The IDF, the ISA and the security forces are fighting Hamas with increasing intensity. As of now, we have hit over 1,000 Hamas', Islamic Jihad and other terrorist organizations' targets, and we are still busy," he said."The pace of attacks in this operation is double that of Operation Pillar of Defense and the military strikes will continue until we can be certain that the quiet has returned to Israeli citizens," declared Netanyahu, who made clear that "no terrorist target in the Gaza Strip is immune but it must be pointed out that Hamas's leaders, commanders and activists are hiding behind the residents of Gaza and they are responsible for any injury to them.""The difference between us is simple. We develop defensive systems against missiles in order to protect our civilians and they use their civilians to protect their missiles. And this is the entire difference: They fire indiscriminately at our civilians and our cities in order to attack them. Sometimes they hit soldiers by mistake. We strike at their armed forces and sometimes we hit civilians by mistake."I made this point – and many others – clear in recent days in the conversations I have held with major world leaders. I had a good conversation last night with US President Barack Obama, also with Russian President Vladimir Putin," he continued. "I had good talks with all of them, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and British Prime Minister David Cameron, and of course with French President Francois Hollande. To all of them I said something simple – no country would accept its civilians being fired at without a harsh response. I said that I would not allow Israel's citizens to live in this reality. No international pressure will prevent us from operating with full force against a terrorist organization that calls for our destruction.""We will continue to strongly hit all those who try to attack us and we will continue to take determined and prudent action to protect our home front, the citizens of the State of Israel. Iron Dome is a great asset to our national security and I think that it is additional proof of the technological superiority of the State of Israel. This is one of the more impressive developments in defensive war materiel in recent decades. In recent years, my governments – this is my second government – have invested billions in home front defense; Iron Dome was a considerable portion of this sum, and we are working to cover the entire country with systems that can intercept missiles from any distance," said Netanyahu. He praised Israelis for their strength despite the endless rocket attacks, saying, "The strength that you have been showing helps us in conducting this operation in a responsible and sagacious manner. I ask only one thing of you – continue to listen to the instructions of IDF Home Front Command, they both save lives and prevent Hamas from realizing the goals that it has set. We will continue to do whatever we need to guard over you but I also ask you to do what is necessary in order to guard your lives and those of your children. I am proud of the way in which you have been conducting yourselves and I am proud of your support. I am proud to be your Prime Minister."

Hamas to Gazans: Don’t show Israel where we’re firing from-Ministry of Interior video guides locals on suitably anti-Israel wartime terminology, urges them to ‘display photos of the injured’-By Elhanan Miller July 11, 2014, 5:40 pm 26-The Times of Israel

Hamas’s Ministry of Interior in Gaza — still active despite a unity government with Fatah which officially disbanded it — has requested that citizens not share photos of rockets launched from residential areas in downtown Gaza lest Israel strike those areas. The ministry’s social media department published a video in Arabic Thursday containing guidelines for “cautious and effective” social media engagement on Facebook and Twitter during Operation Protective Edge. The ministry calls on residents to be wary of repeating Israeli “rumors,” and of adopting “the occupation’s narrative.” “Always doubt it and dispel it,” the video advises.“Beware of posting photos of missiles launched from the center of town directed at Israel. This is used as a pretext to strike residential areas in the Gaza Strip,” it continues.Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, also appointed Minister of Interior in the new unity government sworn in June 2, has admitted in an interview with The New York Times last month that his Ramallah-based government wields no control over the Gaza Strip. The website of Hamas’s ministry has remained continuously active throughout the IDF operation, delivering news and guidelines to residents. When referring to casualties in Gaza, the term “innocent citizen” should always be added to the name, the video says.“Begin your coverage of the resistance [Hamas] activities by writing ‘in response to the brutal Israeli attack’ and end it with ‘more than X martyrs have been killed since Israel began its aggression against Gaza’.”“Always focus on the role of ‘the Israeli occupation as aggressor’ and that ‘we in Palestine represent the response’.”In some cases, the video’s advice straddles the line between operational security and efficient advocacy tips.“Do not publish photos or video clips depicting locations of rocket launches or movements of resistance [Hamas members] in Gaza,” the video warns. “To Facebook news page administrators, do not display photos of masked men carrying heavy weapons up close, so that your page isn’t shut for inciting violence.”Facebook commenters should describe the local manufacturing of rockets as a “natural response to the occupation launching missiles at civilians in the West Bank and Gaza.”Photos, the video concludes, should include documentation of the time and place they were taken, since Israel claims that Palestinians are using archived photos as news.“Make sure in every roundup to mention the number of women and children killed or injured. BEIRUT/JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Rockets were fired at northern Israel from Lebanon on Friday and Israel's army responded with artillery fire, Lebanese and Israeli military authorities said.Southern Lebanon is a stronghold of Hezbollah, a Shi'ite Muslim group that battled Israel seven years ago and is engaged in Syria's civil war in support of President Bashar al-Assad, but there are also Palestinian groups in the same area. In the past, militants linked to al Qaeda have claimed such attacks. The rockets were fired from the Marjayoun - Hasbaya area towards "occupied Palestinian territories", a statement from Lebanon's army said, referring to Israel. The projectiles were launched in the hours before dawn.Lebanese security forces arrested a man suspected of firing the rockets, the national news agency said later in the day. He was Lebanese and a member of "fundamentalist groups", the report said, without naming the groups. It said he had admitted he had been accompanied by two Palestinians who were also members of these groups, and security forces were still searching for the pair. The army said it had discovered two missile platforms with more rockets ready for launch after searching the area, and had dismantled them.

RETALIATION

An Israeli military spokeswoman said a lone rocket launched from either Lebanon or Syria landed in Israel's far north, ending up in an open area near a farming community close to the border with Lebanon. The army responded with artillery fire, she said. There were five rockets fired in total from southern Lebanon, Lebanese security sources said. Two entered Israel, one fell into Lebanese territory and two more were intercepted. An Israeli military spokeswoman confirmed that Israel responded with artillery fire. Israel shot back around 25 shells, the Lebanese army said, and there were no reports of casualties.Israeli chief military spokesman Brigadier-General Motti Almoz said a rocket fell near Kibbutz Kfar Yuval and that the military was checking for more details on the source of the firing. There were no casualties or damage.Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip have launched hundreds of rockets into Israel since the start of an Israeli offensive four days ago, but Kfar Yuval is almost certainly out of range of those rockets. At least 82 Palestinians, most of them civilians, have been killed in the offensive, which Israel says it launched to end persistent rocket attacks on civilians. Some rockets have reached Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and other cities. In December, rockets launched from Lebanon struck northern Israel, provoking a response across a border that had been largely quiet since a war in 2006. In August, Brigades of Abdullah Azzam, an organisation linked to al Qaeda, claimed a rocket barrage from Lebanon.(Editing by Andrew Roche)
