TORONTO - Rob Ford’s rehab came out Friday appealing for privacy as eTalk published the first photo of him inside the facility and the mayor popped up posing for photos with people in Midland.CTV entertainment show eTalk revealed a photo Friday of Ford walking the grounds at GreeneStone Muskoka - the rehab centre where he has been since taking a leave for his admitted alcohol problem.The photo comes around three weeks into the mayor’s rehab stint.A few hours after the photo was posted on eTalk’s Twitter account, GreeneStone Clinic Muskoka issued a statement confirming Ford was undergoing treatment at its facility.“We are releasing this information with Mr. Ford’s consent,” the statement read.“We ask that the public and the media respect the privacy of all the patients at GreeneStone, to ensure they receive the most comprehensive and effective treatment.“We take our patient care and confidentiality very seriously and as a result will not be commenting further on this matter.”Despite the statement, Ford was spotted out of rehab and in Midland Friday afternoon. Posts on social media showed Ford in a suit posing with people in the town near the rehab facility.Ford - who admitted to smoking crack cocaine last year - took a leave of absence from the mayor’s job and his re-election campaign on the night of April 30 and entered rehab the next day.Etalk’s photo of the mayor in rehab showed him wearing a University of Texas at Austin Longhorns jacket, jeans and Crocs.The segment on Ford and the first picture of him snapped in rehab was shown early on in the show in between celebrity news items.“It’s good to see Ford taking steps on the right path,” one of the hosts said.A representative from CTV and eTalk declined to comment further on the rehab photo and Friday night’s story.Despite heading into rehab, the embattled mayor has still been in the spotlight.The mayor gave an interview to Sun columnist Joe Warmington just days into his stay and claimed that “rehab is amazing.”Last Friday, Ford posed for photos with people in Bracebridge and Gravenhurst during a trip out of GreeneStone.This week Ford’s Cadillac Escalade was impounded by Bracebridge OPP after the woman driving it was caught allegedly impaired on Tuesday afternoon.No explanation has been given on why the woman, who met Ford in rehab, was given access to his vehicle.
