It is dated 4-13-05 – about a year after the God Gene was first discovered. The Homeland Security unit of Charlotte’s Mecklenburg Police Department is working hard to crush the First Amendment rights of anti-abortion activists by re-characterizing protest as stalking, ensuring that institutions merely have to complain that they feel threatened in order to have police remove demonstrators.The domestic terrorism branch of the CMPD is targeting the anti-abortion group Operation Save America because of its efforts to dissuade mothers from terminating pregnancies outside abortion mills.Rev. Flip Benham, the National Director of Operation Save America, will appear at the Charlotte School of Law in Charlotte to appeal a guilty’ verdict for stalking.The charge of stalking is simply the latest of many blatant attempts by the abortion industry and the city of Charlotte to remove from the streets gentle Christians who offer mom’s a real choice at abortion mills. There have been lawsuits, injunctions, temporary restraining orders, and every other imaginable strategy, to silence the Gospel of Christ,reports Operation Save America.

The group claims it is being targeted because its efforts have saved over a thousand babies from being aborted, representing a huge chunk of lost revenue for the abortion industry.This new North Carolina stalking statute is so egregious because it can be used by virtually anyone to silence the First Amendment rights of another by simply saying that he or she feels threatened,states the press release.The fact that a local unit of the DHS is flexing its muscles to silence anti-abortion voices is unsurprising given Homeland Security’s routine demonization of right to life activists as hate groups.In a 2009 report distributed to law enforcement organizations entitled , Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment,anti-abortion activists are put on a par with white supremacists and domestic terrorists.The wider move to re-characterize free speech activities as stalking or harassment has accelerated in recent months.Previous stalking laws have been ruled unconstitutional because they could undercut free-speech rights, including the media’s newsgathering ability and a citizen’s right to redress political or legal grievances.The ACLU has decried a new bill that would criminalize any speech on the Internet that has the effect of causing substantial embarrassment or humiliation to [a] person within an academic or professional community.Of course, legitimate criticism of public figures would fall under this category. The Obama administration, its supporters, and the establishment media are engaged in a transparent effort to whip up racial tension over the Trayvon Martin shooting in a bid to chill second amendment rights and polarize the American people as part of an election stunt.In doing so they are manufacturing a race-baiting myth that threatens to cause genuine racial unrest – the notion that white on black hate crimes are a problem of epidemic proportion when in reality federal crime statistics prove that the opposite is true.Despite a witness telling Sanford police that he saw Martin attacking George Zimmerman before the fatal shot was fired, clearly suggesting Zimmerman was acting in self-defense, along with new video showing that Zimmerman was injured during the confrontation, the administration has exploited the tragedy to create momentum for the right to self-defense to be abolished altogether.During a CBS News interview which aired yesterday, Vice-President Joe Biden said the incident would re-open debate on the Stand Your Ground self-defense law, while also flagrantly lying about the second amendment.The idea that there’s this overwhelming additional security in the ownership and carrying concealed and deadly weapons… I think it’s the premise, not the constitutional right, but the premise that it makes people safer is one that I’m not so sure of,Biden said.

Imagine if white supremacists reacted to a white man being shot by a black man by setting up a twitter account calling for the black man to be hunted down and killed lynch-mob style. Do you think Twitter would delete the profile?

The fact that the establishment media, at the direction of race-baiting Obama supporters like Al Sharpton and Obama himself have artificially manufactured racial controversy around the Trayvon Martin shooting is manifestly provable.NBC News had to admit that they had deliberately edited a call between George Zimmerman and a 911 dispatcher prior to Martin’s death in order to make Zimmerman appear racist, by removing the part of the call where the dispatcher directly asks Zimmerman if Martin is white, hispanic or black.Despite making up only 8 per cent of the population of the United States, black on white violence is seven times more likely to happen than the converse. Whether people like that or not, it is a fact, but you will never see the establishment media even acknowledge it, never mind start a public debate on the root causes of why it is happening.These statistics come from a New Century Foundation analysis of federal crime statistics.You will also never hear a discussion about why, blacks are 39 times more likely to commit a violent crime against whites then vice versa, and 136 times more likely to commit a robbery, as Ken LaRive documents.In addition, you will never witness a national debate over a spate of incidents that have occurred over the last two years in which gangs of black flash mobs go on violent rampages targeting non-blacks.If Jesse Jackson, Spike Lee and their ilk showed half as much concern for the fact that black culture, particularly in the form of rap music, promotes and glorifies violence, which undoubtedly is one of the major causal factors behind these statistics, as they are showing in their efforts to whip up racial tension over the Trayvon shooting, America would be a much more harmonious place.But this isn’t really about representing black people or highlighting genuine concerns over racism, it’s about firming up Obama’s support base with the election just over six months away. If the administration can exploit enough tragic incidents like the Trayvon shooting to polarize the American people and rally recalcitrant liberals into re-affirming their support for Obama, another four years in White House can still be obtained.

Scientists claim climate change deniers are in need of treatment. American anti-intellectualism is a disease. Action must be taken to break the individual and cultural inertia preventing an adequate response to the global threat of human-caused climate change.According to leading experts on global environmental and social issues, resistance to the reality of anthropogenic global warming (human-caused climate change) must be recognized and treated before real action can be taken to effectively address this significant threat facing our planet.Meeting in London last week, scientists came together for the Planet Under Pressure 2012 conference to discuss potential solutions to the challenge of global sustainability.

A featured speaker at the conference, University of Oregon Professor Kari Norgaard, explains:We find a profound misfit between dire scientific predictions of ongoing and future climate changes and scientific assessments of needed emissions reductions on the one hand, and weak political, social or policy response on the other.People are individually and collectively habituated to the ways we act and think. This habituation must be recognized and simultaneously addressed.This kind of cultural resistance to very significant social threat is something that we would expect in any society facing a massive threat.Just as we cannot overhaul a car fleet overnight, we cannot change our ideological superstructure overnight. We must first be aware that this resistance is happening at all levels of our society. If you have to push a heavy weight, it doesn’t mean it can’t be moved, but in order to push it you had better know that you have something heavy and figure out how to move it — where to put the lever to shift the weight.

The profound misfit between the scientific community and the general population at large when it comes to the recognition of the reality and severity of anthropogenic global warming (human caused climate change) is a serious problem. The organized attempts by climate change deniers to downplay, deny or dismiss the scientific consensus on the extent of global warming, its significance, and its connection to human behavior, is a destructive, maladaptive, and irrational condition requiring intervention and treatment.Many conservative Americans are reluctant to accept what science demonstrates. There is an anti-intellectualism that is rampant among conservatives, a toxic brew of misinformation and religious superstition that prevents many Americans from accepting such simple scientific realities as evolution. Overcoming this resistance, this anti-intellectualism, is a necessary task before the political will can be generated to address the global threat human-caused climate change represents.
