I 've got this great idea: Let's open a shooting range next to the L'Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal. What, too soon after the Montreal Massacre? Well how about a museum, overlooking Pearl Harbor, dedicated to the military accomplishments of Japanese Emperor Hirohito? Too tasteless? OK. How about a 13-story, $100-million mosque at Ground Zero in New York City, on the rubble of a building that was damaged on 9/11?

And let's have it run by a Muslim radical who believes America had it coming. And let's give the mosque a jihadist name: Cordoba House, named after the capital of the Muslim conquest of Spain centuries ago. And let's make it a headquarters for Dawah, the Arabic word for promoting sharia law. Alas, this is no joke. And the mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, couldn't be happier.Then again, Bloomberg has trouble separating wishful liberal thinking from reality.When a car bomb was discovered in Times Square this spring, Bloomberg announced his suspicions on national TV: Somebody with a political agenda, that doesn't like the health-care bill or something.Actually, it was a Pakistani-trained terrorist named Faisal Shahzad. The driving force of the mosque is a radical imam named Feisal Abdul Rauf. Rauf won't even admit that Islamic terrorists were responsible for 9/11 itself. He told a New York radio station that's just the general perception.Rauf has been working on his plans for Ground Zero for a while. He published a book calledA Call to Prayer from the World Trade Center Rubble: Islamic Da'wah in the Heart of America Post-9/11.It's about expropriating the symbol of the crumbling U.S. -- that can't even build a memorial to 9/11 after nine years, let alone rebuild the towers -- and contrasting it with a gleaming new tower of Saudi-style propaganda.But even America-hating radicals have the right to build mosques in America, even at Ground Zero. That's what makes America different from Saudi Arabia, where non-Muslims aren't allowed to set foot in Mecca, let alone build a church.

But does the Saudi government have the right to build at Ground Zero? According to theWashington Times,the Cordoba Initiative has assets of just $20,000 and total revenues since 2004 have been $100,000.How do you get from there to $100 million? Rauf won't say, but hints at outside funding.Saudi Arabia has a religious foreign ministry, called the Muslim World League. It gave $7 million to build Toronto's Islamic Centre, and more to mosques in Calgary and Montreal. Are they the source?

There are 100 mosques in New York City. But the Ground Zero mosque isn't really a mosque. It's a jihadist headquarters. Gullible individuals are not the only victims of Ponzi schemes. In the early 1990s, John G. Bennett, Jr., and his Foundation for New Era Philanthropy lured many U.S. universities and nonprofit groups into investing millions of dollars in the foundation. Bennett promised these organizations that they would double their money in six months with the help of anonymous philanthropists. In May 1995 Prudential Securities, Inc., where most of the funds were deposited, discovered that New Era was under federal investigation and froze its accounts.

The action triggered New Era's bankruptcy. Bennett was later charged with eighty-two counts of fraud, MONEY LAUNDERING, and income TAX EVASION. As with the original Ponzi scheme, defrauded investors agreed to be reimbursed for up to 65 percent of their losses, with the money coming from groups that had deposited money with New Era early in the scheme and made a profit.

Internationally, the nation of Albania was plunged into civil unrest in 1997 when a multimillion-dollar Ponzi scheme collapsed. Many Albanians had invested large amounts of their savings in the scheme, which allegedly had the backing of Albanian government officials. Faced with economic ruin, citizens rioted against the government.

CASE BACKROUND

Six taxpayers represented by the Evergreen Freedom Foundation have sued Gov. Chris Gregoire and several state agencies to invalidate an executive order addressing climate change issued by the governor. During the 2009 legislative session, the Washington Legislature considered a bill from Gov. Gregoire that addressed climate change issues. Despite vocal support from the governor, SB 5735 did not pass out of the legislature.Rather than waiting for a new legislative session, on May 21, 2009, Gov. Gregoire issued Executive Order 09-05, entitled Washington’s Leadership on Climate Change,ordering the Departments of Ecology and Transportation to take action to reduce climate-changing greenhouse gas emissions and increase transportation and fuel-conservation options. The governor and her staff on several occasions confirmed the executive order was intended to replace her failed legislation.

We believe Gov. Gregoire exceeded her constitutional authority by issuing this order. A governor cannot violate the doctrine of separation of powers by snatching a failed bill out of the legislative process and issuing it in the form of an executive order. Thus, this case is about restraining an abuse of power and ensuring that the governor can’t usurp the proper role of the legislature. The individual taxpayers suing the governor are Matt Erickson of Wenatchee, Dr. Sterling A. Today the Evergreen Freedom Foundation's Constitutional Law Center announced they would, on behalf of Washington State taxpayers, sue Democrat Gov. Christine Gregoire because last year she issued an executive order implementing climate change measures that the Democrat-run state legislature had rejected. We believe Gov. Gregoire’s climate change executive order is an unconstitutional order, said Michael Reitz, director of the Evergreen Freedom Foundation’s Constitutional Law Center, who represents the taxpayers in this case. Gov. Gregoire violated the doctrine of separation of powers by snatching a failed bill out of the legislative process and issuing it in the form of an executive order. If the governor wants to pass laws, she’s in the wrong branch of government.Indeed, Gregoire is such an Unconstitutionalist (as a former attorney general, she should know better) that she admitted openly last year she wanted to circumvent Washingtonians' elected representatives, telling the Los Angeles Times, I wanted cap-and-trade. I didn't get it.

Used to using threats to get what she wants, she instead used the hissy fit measure at her disposal and forced the state Department of Ecology to redirect hundreds of thousands -- if not millions -- of dollars from budget-authorized air quality programs to her global warming agenda. Among her directives were to join the wasteful Western Climate Initiative, force private business to report their emissions, and develop a low-carbon fuel standard. Kind of like her own, self-created EPA endangerment finding.She's about as far out in left field as she can get, as the Washington Policy Center environmental director Todd Myers explained. Her party controls both chambers, ... and they still wouldn’t pass it, he said. When you’re pushing policy over the wishes of people in your own party, I think that’s very dangerous.Even more so when you consider her approval ratings, although this is not an election year for her.

OLYMPIA—Today a group of six taxpayers filed a lawsuit to invalidate an executive order issued by Gov. Chris Gregoire. We believe Gov. Gregoire that addressed climate change issues. Despite vocal support from the governor, SB 5735 did not pass out of the Legislature.

Undeterred, on May 21, 2009, Gov. Gregoire issued Executive Order 09-05, entitled Washington’s Leadership on Climate Change,ordering the Departments of Ecology and Transportation to take action to reduce climate-changing greenhouse gas emissions and increase transportation and fuel-conservation options. In a press release the governor claimed the executive order would produce environmental and economic benefits: It will protect our natural resources, while creating thousands of green-collar jobs and strengthening our state’s competitiveness in the global race for a clean energy economy.Gov. Gregoire stressed that Executive Order 09-05 was intended to replace her failed legislation. At her press conference, Gregoire said, What we’ve done in the executive order is everything that was in that final bill—plus. Plus. There’s more in the executive order than what was in the final bill that did not pass the Legislature.The Evergreen Freedom Foundation and its clients argue Gov. Gregoire lacks authority to take the actions described in the order. Governors are free to issue executive orders, but the order is enforceable only if the governor is expressly empowered by the constitution or by statute,Reitz said.For example, state law permits the governor to declare a state of emergency after a natural disaster. All other executive orders are mere policy statements or voluntary directives to state agencies and are considered unenforceable.Reitz continued: We have democratic process for a reason. Corporation’s £8 billion green pension fund cited asnkey to news bias.The story relates to recent developments from the US Department of Energy (DoE) which has not yet decided whether to reinstate the long-standing funding after the so-called Climategate scandal centered at the discredited British Climatic Research Unit (CRU) the institution at the heart of the Climategate scandal, housed at the University of East Anglia (UEA). Rather than run the revelations on its national news network, the BBC instead chose to subsume the story within its regional website content directed for the county of Essex (hat tip: Barry Wood).The UEA confirmed the DoE has held off funding despite the unit being cleared. The University of East Anglia is in a region of the country unconnected to home counties, Essex. Disgraced CRU professor narrowly avoided criminal prosecution. Key culprit,Phil Jones was also allowed by one of the inquiries to help pick the evidence it reviewed.

By contrast the BBC ran prominent national news broadcasts covering the three British official inquiries that cleared UEA staff of any wrongdoing. Climate scientists at UEA have research grants of $200,000 (£131,000) suspended by the US government in a row over e-mails leaked onto the Internet in November 2009. The total U.S. funding of UK climate research is believed to run into many millions.The contents of the e-mails raised grave questions about data fraud by researchers collating global temperatures. Some analysts are adamant the e-mails prove that records showing temperature rises at the end of the 20th century were fudged to suggest potentially catastrophic man-made global warming.

I knew it was way more and once again a betrayal of America.I interviewed on air the day of the signing, Eric Singer, Manager of the fund Advisor Congressional Effect Management. He manages investment money and does it very well, unlike much of Wall Street these days. I asked Singer what he thought of this Bill? Like myself he thought it was dangerous and a complete sham. One major problem that he pointed out on my show with this reform bill is it doesn’t reform. It just asserts more Government control and regulation! If Obama and this congress really wanted to reform anything in the financial world, why did they completely ignore Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae? They do 80% of the mortgages and were directly responsible for most the problems in the mortgage industry, yet, magically they are completely unaffected by this Bill. Makes ya wonder doesn’t it? Who paid off who?

Singer also pointed out that this Bill talks about helping 1 Billion in Mortgages, which sounds to the basic American great except that is really like focusing on a hang nail when your whole body is in flames. There are 8 trillion in known Mortgages. Gee, lets see now, Obama will help 1 billion but I guess hopes no one knows there are 8 trillion in Mortgages. Naturally, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae who give 80% of these loans would completely avoid anymore regulation and accountability. It is so much better apparently to control and shred small and medium banks and corporations even more. This Horror show is hitting us from all sides now. We are starting to feel the forced Obama care bill and see the growing sea of law suits from Attorney Generals about this. I broke on my show just this week the sneaky push by congress to combine and munch together the amnesty issue for illegal aliens and Gay marriage. This is to gain total support from Hispanics and the Gay community in votes. Obama and congress would also shred states rights and sovereignty, trumping their laws on gay marriage already on the books, reflecting the will and vote of the people. This Bill has not been talked about but I have a reliable source who says it is happening behind closed doors. Watch for this soon.

The next lowest bracket will go from 25 – 28%. The highest bracket of 33% goes to 39.5%.We will also experience the glowing and romantic marriage penalty again. There are dozens of unfair and ridiculous taxes that Obama will let return. I have just mentioned a few.Hopefully it isn’t a mystery anymore to any race, persuasion, or background. Obama wants and plans to transform this country into a cradle to grave, European style, socialist/communist regime that he and his cronies control. U.S. Cyber Command protects America from a massive Internet attack

In July 2009, thousands of zombie computers awoke at once and launched a massive attack against multiple U.S. targets, including the network-heart of the U.S. Department of Defense. The goal of the attack was to overwhelm the target networks with excess internet traffic, thus forcing a total shut down. Several sites did cease to work.The attack raced through the Internet, hitting the National Security Agency (NSA), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the State Department, the White House, the New York Stock Exchange, the Treasury Department, the Federal Trade commission, the Secret Service, and the Department of Transportation. Although some reports indicated North Korea was the source of the cyberattack, this remains unsubstantiated. Each hour, the Pentagon’s computer networks are probed over a quarter million times by unauthorized users. In fact, if a deep weakness was found, the ensuing digital battle could be lost within seconds.To protect the Pentagon and the Defense Department’s seven million computers and 15,000 networks worldwide, the U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) was established and became operational, May 21, 2010. But USCYBERCOM – the sub-unified command (composed of cyber defense elements from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps) subordinate to the U.S. Strategic Command (the successor to the U.S. Air Force’s Strategic Air Command) – will not be fully operational until October.

The stereotypical geeky, teenage hacker, such as the one depicted in the 1983 cyber-thriller War Games is not the enemy feared by the U.S. military today. The threat is instead posed by digital gangs, criminals for hire, terrorists, and nation-states which have formed highly-efficient cyber-attack units. The attacker’s identity is often disguised. The physical source of the attacker is more than likely a zombie computer covertly seized months before the attack, unbeknownst to the owner of the targeted computer. And the Internet is the ideal tool by which to attack the U.S. on a massive scale, both militarily, as well as the entire U.S. civilian infrastructure, including the U.S. financial centers, electrical grid, telecommunications, air traffic control, and multi-national corporations.

USCYBERCOM is a 1,000–plus organization headquartered at Fort Meade, Maryland. In May, U.S. Army Gen. Keith Alexander – who also directs the NSA – became the first commander of USCYBERCOM.The U.S. is not alone in the establishment of a new a cyber-warfare capability. This past year, the UK established a Cyber Security Operations Centre, while North and South Korea already have cyber warfare units. Financial Reform: What Does It Mean for Little People?

After congratulating himself for yet another devastating assault on free market capitalism, President Obama, flanked by the likes of Chris Dodd and Barney Frank, declared victory for enactment of the so-called financial reform bill.However, the vital question ignored by the president and his subjects in the mainstream media is: Victory over what, and for whom?

For example:

-Will mortgage giants Fannie Mae (FNMA) and Freddie Mac (FMAC) be held accountable for their roles in the housing/mortgage crash?
-Will taxpayer bailouts of FNMA and FMAC be halted?
-Will my home regain some of the loss in value inflicted since Obama saved the economy?
-Will foreclosures be cut off before one million home owners are booted out of their castles in 2010?
-Will tax cuts for middle class Americans be delivered as promised by Obama?
-Will personal bankruptcies be replaced with good tidings of prosperity for all?
-Will my meager 401(k) retirement nest egg be protected from the ravages of Wall Street fraud and, even more ominous, Obama fraud?
-Will unemployment drop below 8 percent as Obama promised when he misused one trillion dollars of taxpayer money on his stimulus fiasco?
-Will federal spending and the deficit be curtailed before Washington, D.C. becomes another Athens?
-Will the interest rates on my credit card accounts plummet and become post-usury?
-Will the epidemic of bank failures throughout the land be reversed and cured?
-Will Recovery Summer become more of a reality rather than simply a mindless slogan?
Of course, these questions are strictly rhetorical.Everyone knows that Obama is incapable of providing the leadership needed to solve the thorny issues facing the little people.

The latest threat comes amid increased tensions on the divided peninsula over the deadly sinking of a South Korean warship that Seoul and Washington blame on Pyongyang.The allies' defense chiefs announced earlier in the week they would stage the drills to send a clear message to North Korea to stop its aggressive behavior. Forty-six South Korean sailors were killed in the March sinking of the Cheonan, considered the worst military attack on the South since the 1950-53 Korean War.North Korea vehemently denies any involvement and says any punishment would trigger war.On Saturday, North Korea's powerful National Defense Commission — headed by leader Kim Jong Il — backed that threat up by promising a retaliatory sacred war against South Korea and the U.S. for what it called a second unpardonable provocation after wrongly accusing the North in the Cheonan incident.The army and people of the (North) will legitimately counter with their powerful nuclear deterrence the largest-ever nuclear war exercises, the commission said in a statement carried by the country's official Korean Central News Agency.

Clinton said the U.S. is willing to meet and negotiate with the North, but this type of threat only heightens tensions. She added progress in the short term seems unlikely. It is distressing when North Korea continues its threats and causes so much anxiety among its neighbors and the larger region, she told reporters. TEHRAN, Iran – Iran's nuclear agency began studies Saturday to build an experimental nuclear fusion reactor, something that has yet to be achieved by any nation.Iran is not known to have carried out anything but basic fusion research, but it does have a nuclear fission program that the U.S. and its allies believe is a front to build weapons — a charge Tehran denies.Nuclear fusion, the process powering the sun and stars, has so far only been mastered as a weapon, producing the thermonuclear explosions of hydrogen bombs. It has never been harnessed for power generation.Vice President Ali Akbar Salehi, who also heads the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, told a conference on the new research program that his agency has set an initial budget of $8 million to conduct serious research in the area of nuclear fusion.

Asghar Sediqzadeh, the head of the new fusion research center said Iran will take two years to complete these studies and then another decade to design and build a reactor.The scientific phase of the project effectively began today. We have already hired 50 experts for this purpose, he told state TV.The United States, the European Union, China, India, Russia, Japan and South Korea signed an accord in 2006 to build a $12.8 billion experimental fusion reactor at Cadarache, southern France, aimed at revolutionizing global energy use for future generations.The International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor, or ITER, members have said no single country can afford the immense investment needed to move the science forward.Salehi, Iran's nuclear chief, said Iran was willing to join any international grouping to offer its expertise to promote the project. MOSCOW – A methane explosion at a coal mine in western Siberia early Saturday killed one miner and left two hospitalized with burns, officials said.A sudden buildup of the gas at the Krasnogorskaya mine ignited as 66 miners were at work, and 65 were evacuated, said Valery Korchagin, an Emergencies Ministry spokesman. The extent of the burns injuries was unclear.State television reported the Krasnogorskaya mine is one of the region's oldest, built in the 1940s, but that new safety equipment had recently been installed.In Saturday's blast the methane accumulated so quickly it wasn't picked up by detectors in time, the Rossiya-24 news channel reported.The mine is one of dozens in and around Kemerovo, an industrial city atop one of the world's largest coal basins. Fatal accidents are common there, with workers often ignoring — or forced to ignore — dangerous levels of volatile gases to raise production figures.

In May, two blasts at the Raspadskaya coal mine in a Kemerovo region town killed at least 67 miners. Two dozen more are still listed as missing, presumed dead. A breach of safety rules was blamed.Reports said that more than 1,000 safety violations had been flagged at Raspadskaya, Russia's largest coal mine, since the beginning of 2009. The head of the mine, Igor Volkov, stepped down and faces up to seven years in prison if convicted on charges of violating safety rules with fatal consequences.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said in the wake of the disaster that Russia's mining industry suffers on average around 100 deaths a year, but last year the figure spiked to 217.
