Why is Iran digging 320,000 graves?
One thing leads to another. It's after Shabbat, and I am searching the news about the earth quakes that were felt yesterday (Friday) in Israel. Israeli residents of the north said that their homes were shaking, things were falling off their shelves, and their beds were moving. It was generally scary for a country that doesn't experience many earth quakes. I look for more information and find that the earth quake's epicenter hit the eastern Mediterranean sea, about 12 miles east of Tyre, Lebanon, but was felt in Northern Israel at a 4.2 magnitude. This took place just after 2pm Friday afternoon. Another earth quake was felt Friday evening again in northern Israel registering at a 3.5 magnitude. Thank G-d, no injuries were reported. All in all, The Geophysical Institute of Israel (GII) confirmed that at least TEN earth quakes took place yesterday in southern Lebanon.

Prepare for Mass Casualties

Now, what makes this news story even more interesting - and disturbing - is that under a year ago, Israel's northern hospitals were put on high alert and were told to expect a coming major earth quake soon, with the expectation of possible mass civilian casualties. Israel's Health Ministry sent out a notice to Israel's northern hospitals to prepare and be ready for possible mass casualties of Israel's northern residents.(This report is from about 9 months ago when Israel was also hoping to get permission from America to attack Iran. At that time, it was reported that it was not a matter of IF, but WHEN.)

Iran Digging 320,000 Graves

I then read on Iran's Press TV news website, that Iran is digging over a quarter of a million graves on its soil, ostensibly, because Iran is expecting a military invasion and an attack on it's nuclear facilities. The report came out almost the same day that Israel sent its letter to hospitals in the north to be ready for mass casualties.It states:A senior Iranian commander says the country is digging some 320,000 graves in its bordering provinces for future slain invaders. Brigadier General Mir-Faisal Baqerzadeh, the Head of the Foundation for the Remembrance of the Holy Defense, said Sunday that the decision had been approved by Iran's Armed Forces Headquarters. We will dig 15,000 to 20,000 graves in each of the border provinces, he said.We do not wish the families of enemy soldiers to experience what Americans had to go through in the aftermath of the Vietnam War,added Brig. Gen. Baqerzadeh, who is also the head of the search committee for missing soldiers. The commander said the preemptive measures would decrease the time slain soldiers would be missing in action.

All in all, the number of graves they are digging comes to approx. 320,000 graves – for their enemies, they say.Now, the questions that need to be asked are:1) Why is Israel preparing for mass casualties in northern Israel?

a) It could be exactly what we are reading, that we are expecting a major earth quake which could be very serious. Or…
b) Israel may be planning on attacking the Iranian nuclear facilities in the near future and is preparing for a massive missile attack in response, from Iran's proxy in the north, the Hezbollah and possible other terror groups.
2)Why is Iran digging 320,000 graves?
a)It could be that they are expecting 320,000 enemy soldiers to come in and invade Iran and attempt to attack it's nuclear facilities. They plan to kill all of these soldiers, and then bury them – out of humanitarian concern - as they claim. Or…
b)It could be that they are really expecting some type of aerial attack, whether by fighter jets or by long range missiles onto their nuclear facilities, and they really are expecting to bury their OWN soon to be dead Iranian people who are working and residing in the area.I would imagine that there would be a lot of massive damage and dirty radiation leaks after an attack on a nuclear site, and Iran would need to bury, not burn, any bodies that lingered there as soon as they would be able to approach the area.Now again, being careful about keeping speculation, speculation, as I have no personal proof, I believe a connection between these two news stories would be a possibility to consider.

Let's try to examine why Iran, a Moslem regime which sponsors terrorism and courts fascist leaders like Venezuela's Hugo Chavez, is so concerned about the humanitarian needs of its enemies.Why would they be so thoughtful to worry about enemy infidels and bother to dig 320, 000 graves for those they hate.They could easily burn their bodies or just make much quicker mass grave sites. Let's also think WHO would be sending in so many enemy soldiers to invade Iran? Not Israel.Our standing army is less than 200,000 men and women and I don't think that the US has that many troops in Iraq to invade Iran and still retain control in Iraq.So unless Russia is planning on marching in and attacking Iran's nuclear facilities, which seems unlikely since Russia and Iran do business together and the two signed an agreement for Moscow to supply fuel to Iran's nuclear reactor, I doubt very much there will be ANY military invasion on Iran.One more point, how did Iran even come to the number of 320,000? There aren't enough enemy troops from the USA or Israel to support such a number, yet this is the number they estimate and get approval for? America does not have 320,000 troops in Iraq to invade Iran. Israel does not have enough troops nor the ability to march any troops through hostile Jew-hating countries like Jordan, Syria, Turkey or Iraq to get to Iran. So if this is the case, and Iran really expects an aerial attack, then reason tells us that these graves will be for the people working and living in these nuclear facility communities.Only time will tell.

Ezekiel the Hebrew prophet has already mentioned this scenario.

We are nearing the prophetic time-line mentioned in Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39. Whether the politicians of Israel & Iran know the purpose of their digging mass graves does not matter. Everything is unfolding according to G-D’s plan for protecting His Chosen People.Ezekiel 38:3, 5, 6 -- i.e. the armies of Gog of Magog (Russia), who will be dragged into the war by Persia (Iran) along with all the Islamic nations mentioned in verses 5, 6. They will come against Israel during the latter days (Ez.38:16). In Ez.38:18, 19 (v.19 ‘For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: Surely in that day there shall be a GREAT EARTHQUAKE IN THE LAND OF ISRAEL). V.20 mentions The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, & every wall shall fall to the ground.

As a result of the earthquake, an utter confusion will occur in the enemy camp, and an interesting scenario of friendly fire will unfold (v.21 I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,says the L-RD G-D. Every man’s sword will be against his brother).v.22 and I will bring him to judgment with pestilence & bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, & brimstone.(Something like a Hiroshima. Nagasaki...!?)The result of all this will be as mentioned in Ezekiel 39:2, that only 1/6th of the army will survive after the L-RD G-D Himself has dealt with them. That would mean 5/6th of the enemy army will fall on the mountains of Israel (Ez.39:4-8). That sure is a great no. of dead among the enemy forces.

Ez.39:9 - Israel will then set on fire & burn the weapons, etc. for 7 years.

Ez.39:11 – It will come to pass in that day that I will give Gog a burial place there in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea; & it will obstruct travelers, because there they will bury Gog and all his multitude. Therefore they will call it the valley of Hamon Gog.Israel will spend 7 months burying them, IN ORDER TO CLEANSE THE LAND.So, it will take 7 years to destroy the weapons of the enemy and 7 months to bury the dead enemy. Why such a lengthy period? Could it be that during the confusion of the great earthquake of Ez.38:19, that the enemy will use nuclear weapons upon themselves in a friendly fire? Yes, it seems so. Because in Ez.39:14-16 it mentions the precautions the Israelis will take so that they do not touch the dead bodies of the enemies.MED, USA (19/04/09)

Iran digging 320,000 graves for invaders,Brigadier General Mir-Faisal Baqerzadeh Sun, 29 Jun 2008 19:57:34 GMT

A senior Iranian commander says the country is digging some 320,000 graves in its bordering provinces for future slain invaders. Brigadier General Mir-Faisal Baqerzadeh, the Head of the Foundation for the Remembrance of the Holy Defense, said Sunday that the decision had been approved by Iran's Armed Forces Headquarters. We will dig 15,000 to 20,000 graves in each of the border provinces,he said. We do not wish the families of enemy soldiers to experience what Americans had to go through in the aftermath of the Vietnam War,added Brig. Gen. Baqerzadeh, who is also the head of the search committee for missing soldiers. The commander said the preemptive measures would decrease the time slain soldiers would be missing in action. The burial of slain soldiers will be carried out decently and in little time,he continued.

Baqerzadeh added that the decision is in line with the Islamic Republic's commitment to comply with the Geneva Convention and the additional protocol regarding wartime cooperation between Iran and the Red Cross.MD/AA

In this series of articles called Timing Gog-Magog, we are looking to the Bible to discover when the great battle the prophet Ezekiel described in Ezekiel 38 and 39 is going to take place.The Gog-Magog Battle involves a coalition of nations led by a ruler from the ancient lands once covered by the former Soviet Union and modern-day Turkey which consist of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Sudan, Libya, and possibly Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Algeria and Tunisia. They are united in their fervor to loot and destroy Israel. The invading coalition comes to the mountains of Israel to discover not an easy victory, but a setup by God who utterly destroys them with unearthly weather. The supernatural defeat of the invading hordes reveals to the world that God is real and indeed protects the nation of Israel. Israel spends the next seven months burying the dead invaders and seven years expending the leftover fuel and weapons.In review, we analyzed the Battle and looked into the history books and determined that Ezekiel's reference to Rosh is modern-day Russia. Ezekiel's General Timing Clues were listed to demonstrate that the Gog-Magog Battle is yet future. We also looked at the two views that place the battle before the Tribulation, the two views that place the battle during the Tribulation, and the three views that place the battle in relation to the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ. In our study we utilized what I believe is the best written book on the subject — Northern Storm Rising by Dr. Ron Rhodes.I'll conclude this series by analyzing the views and stating when I believe the Gog-Magog Battle will take place.Let me go on the record, though, by stating that I am not dogmatic about this end time topic, nor should anyone be. The study of the end times (eschatology) is non-primary. Since God has given mankind merely an overview of His future plans, He has left us with nothing concrete enough to pinpoint the exact timing, probably so that we Christians will not just sit quietly by, but get out there and witness with all our energy until the Lord's return. The study and debate over when the Gog-Magog Battle will take place should never divide the brethren.

Analyzing the Views

Each of the Gog-Magog Battle timing views appear to revolve around dealing with two yet-to-be fulfilled key prerequisites:Israel is in a state of unsuspecting peace before the invasion (Ezek. 38:11).Israel has the seven months to bury the dead invaders bodies (Ezek. 39:12-16) and the whole seven years to expend the leftover fuel and weapons (Ezek. 39:9).The three views that time the Gog-Magog Battle in relation to the Millennium do great justice to the first prerequisite in putting Israel at a time of peace due to Jesus' victory and reign, but cannot overcome the obstacles of the second prerequisite. With Jesus having subjected all His enemies before the start of the Millennium, there would be no invaders to invade. With no invaders, there are no bodies to bury nor weapons to burn.The best of the three Millennial views is the one placing the timing at the end of the Millennial Kingdom, which Revelation 20:7-8 describes as an uprising of unbelievers born during the Millennium that are led be Satan to his final defeat. While there are some similarities to Ezekiel's account of the Gog-Magog Battle, the dissimilarities prove Ezekiel is talking about a different Gog-Magog Battle than the battle the Apostle John is describing. I agree that John's use of Gog and Magog in Revelation 20 is more likely to draw a comparison between Ezekiel's Gog-Magog Battle as a type of what the battle will be like at the end of the Millennial Kingdom.For the two views that place the timing during the Tribulation, they both wrestle with the same prerequisites.

Like the view that proposes Ezekiel's Gog-Magog Battle is the uprising of Satan at the end of the Millennial Kingdom, the view that places the timing at the end of the Tribulation proposes that Ezekiel's Gog-Magog Battle is Armageddon. While similarities exist between Gog-Magog and Armageddon, their differences far outweigh their similarities. Also, placing the battle at the end of the Tribulation violates the first prerequisite that Israel is living in peace, a condition which would be impossible under the intense persecution by the Antichrist and Israel's subsequent flight into the desert.Placing the timing at the beginning, but not by the middle, of the Tribulation gives Israel the seven months to bury the dead invaders and the full seven years to burn the fuel if they have a reserve of it where they flee to. This view would need to settle the peaceful condition of Israel by resting it on either the peace covenant with the Antichrist (Dan. 9:27) or a Psalm 83 subjugation of Israel's surrounding hostile neighbors.The two views that place the timing of the Gog-Magog Battle before the Tribulation can perfectly grant the time needed to burn the weapons — the full seven years if the Jews have a reserve of it where they flee to, or at least 3 1/2 years before the Tribulation to the middle of the Tribulation before the Jews flee. But, since the Tribulation begins with the peace covenant between the Antichrist and Israel, the only viable scenario for a peaceful prerequisite would be a Psalm 83 fulfillment or to take Ezekiel's description of Israel being at peace to mean they're militarily secure, which with the world's fourth largest military they are today.As we can see, all the views struggle over some issue.

My View

Which view one holds probably rests more on what one sees is the view that provides the most logical answers to the prerequisites. To me, timing the Gog-Magog Battle just before or at the very beginning of the Tribulation can best fulfill these prerequisites and makes the most logical sense in my mind.This is how I see the timeline most likely playing out:

The Rapture of the Church removes the Restrainer.

Israel subjugates their surrounding neighbors in fulfillment of Psalm 83.

The Gog-Magog Battle destroys the Russian and Muslim influence in the Middle East, makes the world aware of God's presence, and restores Israel's belief in the God of the Torah.

The Antichrist conquers what's left of the Middle East and makes a peace covenant with Israel to complete the Revived Roman Empire.

Israel spends the seven years of the Tribulation burning the weapons.

Jesus returns at the end of the seven years to defeat His enemies at Armageddon resulting in Israel acknowledging that Jesus is God's Son.

Jesus gathers the people from all over the world for the Sheep/Goat Judgment, which results in only believers entering the Millennial Kingdom.

Time will tell when the Gog-Magog Battle will truly take place. But, the players are already in place and the scene is just about all set for this epic battle to be waged in the not-too-distant future.

Russia-Iran nuclear deal signed Sun feb 27,2005

The signing had been delayed several times.Russia and Iran have signed an agreement for Moscow to supply fuel to Iran's new nuclear reactor in Bushehr. Under the deal Iran has to return spent nuclear fuel rods from the reactor, which was designed and built by Russia.The clause is a safeguard meant to banish fears that Iran might misuse the rods to build nuclear weapons, a concern of the US, Israel and others. The agreement sets out a time-frame for delivery of the fuel, but officials said the dates would be kept secret.The BBC's Frances Harrison in Tehran says the deal is significant because Bushehr will be Iran's first reactor to go on stream - a project that has become an issue of national prestige in the face of intense US opposition.

The signing, which had been expected on Saturday, was apparently delayed over disagreements about when the spent fuel should be returned.Russia had been insisting that no spent fuel should be diverted for the manufacture of weapons. Iran has repeatedly said its nuclear programme is solely for the generation of power.

Strongest indication yet

But despite Iran's denials, diplomats said investigations showed Tehran had had full possession of enrichment know-how for two decades, after acquiring the information from Pakistani nuclear scientist AQ Khan's black-market network.

Iran says its nuclear activity has solely peaceful motives

The Washington Post on Sunday quoted officials as saying that the programme originated at a secret meeting in Dubai 18 years ago between Iranian officials and Mr Khan's associates.The officials said Tehran, which was then at war with Iraq, bought centrifuges and an enrichment starter kit but also used the meeting as a guide before purchasing more expensive items elsewhere.The offer was the strongest indication to date that Iran had a nuclear weapons programme, a diplomat was quoted as saying.

Confidential protocol

Iran's nuclear energy chief Gholamreza Aghazadeh and his Russian counterpart, Alexander Rumyantsev, agreed the deal. We have signed a confidential protocol that sets out the timetable for the delivery of fuel to the nuclear power plant at Bushehr,Mr Rumyantsev said, quoted by Russian news agency Itar-Tass.

Russia has rejected US pressure to cut nuclear co-operation with Iran.

Washington is also concerned that the nuclear project could allow for the covert transfer of weapons technology to Iran.At a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President George W Bush in Slovakia on Thursday, both sides agreed Iran should not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons.The signing of the nuclear fuel deal has been delayed several times, apparently over technical and financial issues.Our correspondent says Iran is currently in negotiations over its nuclear programme with Europe, and one of the incentives on the table is an offer of a nuclear reactor from the West.If Iran is already receiving nuclear fuel and technology from Russia, she says, it is in a stronger negotiating position.
