HOSEA 4:1-3
1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land,(EARTH) because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
ZEPHANIAH 1:2-3
2 I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the LORD.
3 I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD.
EZEKIEL 32:6-9
6 I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of thee.
7 And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.
8 All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord GOD.
9 I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known.
REVELATION 8:8-11
8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood:(bitter,Poisoned) and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.(poisoned)
REVELATION 16:3-7
3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.(enviromentalists won't like this result)
4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
6 For they(False World Church and Dictator) have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
How Bad Is the Damage to the Animas River?-The Atlantic By Marina Koren-August 11, 2015 4:06 PM-YAHOONEWS
Last week, a cleanup crew from the Environmental Protection Agency working along the Animas River in southwestern Colorado accidentally broke through a dam, causing a nearby abandoned mine to spew 3 million gallons of wastewater into the river. The spill sent lead, arsenic, cadmium, and other contaminants into the 126-mile-long river, turning the water a mustard hue.The river’s appearance has since recovered; it shifted to a slight green color as water flowed away from the spill site, diluting the concentration of pollutants, CNN reported. By Tuesday, the water looked clear. When EPA officials first measured the presence of the toxic heavy metals in river after the accident last Wednesday, the levels broke state water quality limits, The Denver Post reported. Here’s CNN, with the token shocked scientist: An arsenic sample tested 26 times higher than the EPA acceptable level.Lead was even worse—much worse."Oh my God! Look at the lead!" said Joseph Landolph, a toxicologist at the University of Southern California, pointing to a lead level in the Animas River nearly 12,000 times higher than the acceptable level set by the EPA.The situation seems much less dire now, according to recent tests of the river. Local drinking water is safe, but the intake valves from the river have been shut off. The state Parks and Wildlife Department reports no dead fish have been spotted along the water. Larry Wolk, Colorado’s top health official, told CNN Tuesday that early tests show that the water near Durango, the Colorado city where the spill originated, “doesn’t appear” to pose a health risk, but didn’t specify to whom—humans, wildlife, local ecosystems, or all three. The less visible—and long-term—consequences of the spill, however, are unknown, according to state and EPA officials. The flow of contaminants has already reached New Mexico, and heads to Utah next. Some of the dangerous metals may have seeped into the river’s sediment, which the current could pick up again at any time. It can take years for the effects of such contaminants to develop."We're kind of in a wait-and-see mode right now," Donna Spangler, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Environmental Quality, told KSL, an NBC- affiliate. The Animas River no longer resembles something like honey Dijon, but the tests are certainly far from over. This article was originally published at http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2015/08/how-bad-is-the-damage-to-animas-river/401051/?UTM_SOURCE=yahoo
EZEKIEL 38:1-12
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog,(RULER) the land of Magog,(RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech (MOSCOW) and Tubal,(TOBOLSK) and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog,(LEADER OF RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW) and Tubal:TOBOLSK)
4 And I (GOD) will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws,(GOD FORCES THE RUSSIA-MUSLIMS TO MARCH) and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia,(IRAN,IRAQ) Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer,(GERMANY) and all his bands; the house of Togarmah (TURKEY) of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.(AFRICAN MUSLIMS,SUDAN,TUNESIA ETC)
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.(RUSSIA-EGYPT AND MUSLIMS)
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages;(ISRAEL) I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 To take a spoil,(OIL IS IN SPOIL) and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
EZEKIEL 39:1-8,11-21
1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog,(LEADER OF RUSSIA) and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech (MOSCOW) and Tubal: (TUBOLSK)
2 And I will turn thee back,(RUSSIA-ARAB MUSLIM ISRAEL HATERS) and leave but the sixth part of thee,(5/6TH OR 300 MILLION DEAD RUSSIAN/ARAB/MUSLIMS I BELIEVE) and will cause thee to come up from the north parts,(RUSSIA) and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands,( ARABS) and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog,(NUCLEAR ATOMIC BOMB) and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog (RUSSIA/ARAB/MUSLIMS) a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers (EAST OF THE DEAD SEA IN JORDAN VALLEY) on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog (RUSSIAN) and all his multitude:(ARAB/MUSLIM HORDE) and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.(BURIEL SITE OF THE 300 MILLION,RUSSIAN/ARAB/MUSLIMS)
12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.(OF ISRAEL)
13 Yea, all the people of the land (OF ISRAEL) shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I (GOD-JESUS) shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.
14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment,(NUCLEAR ATOMIC BOMB EXPERTS) passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.
15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it,(WON'T TOUCH IT) till the buriers have buried it (PROPERLY) in the valley of Hamongog.(RUSSIA/ARAB/MUSLIMS NEW BURIEL SITE)(EAST OF THE DEAD SEA IN THE JORDAN VALLEY)
16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.(OF THE ISRAEL-GOD HATERS)
17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl,(500 MILLION MIGRATING BIRDS THREW ISRAEL EVERY SPRING,FALL) and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.(OF THE RUSSIAN/ARAB/MUSLIM ARMIES)

Kerry says China and Russia 'very likely' reading his emails-AFP-AUG 12,15-YAHOONEWS
Washington (AFP) - US Secretary of State John Kerry accused China and Russia of "very likely" reading his emails, adding that the US has and will continue to discuss cyber attacks with China."The answer is it is very likely. It is not ... outside the realm of possibility, and we know that they have attacked a number of American interests over the course of the last days," Kerry said on the TV show CBS Evening News, on Tuesday. His comments came in response to a question from host Scott Pelley about whether he thought the two countries were reading his emails.Pressed by Pelley, Kerry elaborated. "It's very possible ... I certainly write things with that awareness," he said.Kerry added that cyber attacks had been a topic of ongoing discussions with China and would be so again when US President Barack Obama hosts Chinese President Xi Jinping in Washington in September."Unfortunately, we're living in a world where a number of countries, the Chinese and Russians included, have consistently been engaged in cyber attacks against American interests, against the American government. And it's an issue that we recently raised very, very strongly in our dialogue with the Chinese," Kerry said on the program."It's on the agenda for the discussions between President Obama and President Xi when they meet in September. We have agreed to begin to have a working group dig into this more directly because it is an enormous concern."China is suspected of being behind the cyber attacks, revealed in June, in which massive amounts of personal data on federal employees were stolen, and such attacks were a prominent topic at the Strategic and Economic Dialogue held between the two countries in Washington in late June.China has said claims it was behind those attacks are unfounded and that it is opposed to all forms of cyber hacking.
Putin Gets Caught in His Own Trap-The Atlantic-AUG 12,15-YAHOONEWS-Are little green men about to appear on the North Pole?
Russia’s claim last week, using an extremely creative interpretation of international law, to exclusive economic rights to nearly half a million square miles of the Arctic Sea was certainly a head-scratcher. Sure, the territory is valuable due to its untapped reserves of fossil fuels and for the shipping lanes that will open as Arctic ice melts. But the claim is likely to ultimately be rejected by the United Nations.Still, sparking a manufactured international crisis over the Arctic, one that pits Russia against the United States and Canada, might be just what the doctor ordered. Why? Because Vladimir Putin needs to make a new action movie to distract his people. The Kremlin leader is boxed in on so many fronts right now that he badly needs to change the subject. Is the United States Selling Out Ukraine? For starters, Putin has no good options in eastern Ukraine. The old fantasies about seizing so-called Novorossiya, the strip of land from Kharkiv to Odessa, and establishing a land bridge to Crimea are dead. And the more modest goal of expanding the territory Russia and its proxies currently hold, perhaps with a push to Mariupol, is probably out of the question too. Either campaign would be costly in terms of blood and treasure, certainly spark a fresh round of sanctions, and involve occupying hostile territory. The uptick in fighting in the region this week reeks more of desperation than of a serious move to acquire more territory.Russia could, of course, just annex the territories controlled by Moscow’s proxies; or it could freeze the conflict and establish a Russian protectorate there. But in this case, Moscow would be shouldered with the burden of financing an economically unproductive enclave whose infrastructure has been destroyed. And it would have to do so while Russia’s economy is sinking into an ever deeper recession. Moreover, Russia would lose any leverage over the remainder of Ukraine, which would quickly move toward the West. Sanctions would be continued, and possibly escalated. The Kremlin’s preferred option, given these limitations, is to force the territories back into Ukraine on Moscow’s terms—with broad autonomy and the ability to veto decisions by the Ukrainian government in Kiev. But Ukraine and the West appear unwilling to let this happen. Putin has boxed himself into a corner in Ukraine, and it is difficult to see how he is going to get out of the quagmire he has created. It’s also difficult to imagine how Putin is going to extract himself from the quagmire he has created at home. The Kremlin leader is caught in a trap of his own making, between economic and political imperatives. With the economy sinking deeper into recession, inflation spiking, oil prices dipping below $50 a barrel, and the ruble approaching the lows it reached earlier in the year, Putin badly needs sanctions eased to give the economy breathing space. But for that to happen, he would need to climb down in Ukraine—a move that would undermine the whole rationale for his rule and infuriate the nationalist supporters who make up his base.“Putin’s return to the presidential seat heralded a rather sudden pivot towards a deep-seated domestic nationalism,” Moscow-based journalist Anna Arutunyan wrote recently. “Yet nationalism as a state policy and identity, initially implemented to shore up Kremlin power, now has the Kremlin itself trapped and threatened by forces that it initially nurtured, but can no longer fully control.”A recent report in Novaya Gazeta, for example, claimed that the war in eastern Ukraine risks “metastasizing” as volunteer fighters return to Russia with large quantities of heavy weapons. The essence of Putin’s energy woes are structural, not cyclical. In 2008, Gazprom had a market value of $360 billion; today it is worth just $55 billion.During his first two terms in the Kremlin, Putin’s team—and most notably his chief political operator, Vladislav Surkov—very skillfully co-opted and manipulated both liberal and nationalist groups. That strategy caught up with Putin in 2011-12, when liberal disappointment resulted in the largest anti-Kremlin street protests Russia had seen since the breakup of the Soviet Union—leaving him no place else to turn but toward the nationalists.“Given the higher prevalence of nationalist views—especially among members of the security services—a sense of betrayal could have much bigger consequences for the Kremlin than simply mass protests,” Arutunyan wrote. And on top of it all, Putin has an energy problem. It’s not just that oil prices are low and will remain so for sometime, although that certainly is a problem. The real essence of Putin’s energy woes are structural, not cyclical. The global energy game is changing—and it is not changing in Moscow’s favor.Shale, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and renewables—three areas where Russia is extremely weak—are ascendant and are dramatically altering the market. The potential for ending sanctions on Iran puts a powerful new player and competitor —the world’s third-largest natural-gas producer—in the game. And the Ukraine conflict and Moscow’s aggressive posture toward the West have led Europe—Russia’s most important market—to change its energy policies and seek alternative suppliers. Moreover, rather than looking the other way as the Russian state-owned energy company Gazprom repeatedly flouted the European Union's antitrust laws, Brussels is now cracking down. If one looks at Gazprom as a barometer of Russia’s fortunes, one statistic says it all: In 2008, the company had a market value of $360 billion; today it is worth just $55 billion.According to Pew, only three countries in the world have a net positive opinion of Russia: China, Vietnam, and Ghana.Energy has always been Putin’s trump card. He has been able to use it to bully former neighbors into submission and bribe and blackmail the Europeans. Now it’s a trump card he is losing fast. But at least Putin is still winning the battle for hearts and minds, right? For more than a year, we’ve been hearing about how Russia’s slick propaganda machine is crushing the West in the information war.Moscow has no doubt been very effective in mounting guerrilla-marketing campaigns aimed at sowing doubt and confusion in the West. And Russian officials have been skillful in manipulating and surreptitiously influencing media narratives on issues like the war in Ukraine and the downing of flight MH17.But guess what? After spending nearly half a billion dollars to get its message out to the world, after unleashing armies of trolls to disrupt Western news sites, after launching the most widespread disinformation campaign since the end of the Cold War, after all this, Russia’s global image is in the toilet.According to the Pew Research Center’s new report, only three countries in the world have a net positive opinion of Russia: China, Vietnam, and Ghana. Worldwide, a median of just 30 percent of respondents viewed Russia favorably. Writing in Bloomberg View, political commentator Leonid Bershidsky quipped that “the money might be spent just as wisely buying more $600,000 watches for Putin’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov.”And the numbers are dismal across the board. In Europe, just 26 percent view Russia favorably; in the Middle East, only 25 percent do. In Latin America, it’s only 29 percent. In the regions most favorably inclined toward Russia—Asia and Africa—it’s just 37 percent. And if Russia’s global image is bad, Putin’s is dismal. Worldwide, just 24 percent trust him. In Europe, just 15 percent do.To be sure, Russia’s propaganda machine is working wonders at home, where Putin’s popularity is stratospheric despite a flailing economy. But one has to wonder how much longer that can last.
Ukraine battles pro-Russian rebels for access to key port-AFP-AUG 12,15-YAHOONEWS
Starognativka (Ukraine) (AFP) - Ukraine on Wednesday reported intense battles with pro-Russian insurgents near the last major government stronghold in the former Soviet country's separatist east.A military spokesman in Kiev said clashes north of the Sea of Azov port of Mariupol had killed one soldier and injured three. The rebels reported the death of a civilian in a different part of the Russian-speaking war zone. The latest battles are focused on the control of a highway linking Mariupol with the separatists' de facto capital Donetsk. Most of the road is currently overseen by government forces. Its access could potentially help the insurgents step up their stop-start campaign to capture Mariupol. The industrial port of nearly half a million exports most of the east's factory output and provides a land bridge between rebel territories and the Russian-occupied Crimea peninsula. One resident of a village situated about half way between Donetsk and Mariupol said the exchanges of heavy mortar and rocket fire started on Monday and had not ceased since."It has been three days now -- day and night," said a pensioner who identified himself only as Andrei out of security concerns.A local military spokesman said the two sides were now waging one of their most intense and continuous battles since the signing of a shaky ceasefire deal in February."We are giving the enemy's artillery fire a sufficient and equally heavy response," local government forces spokesman Yaroslav Chepurniy told AFP."If they grab this territory, they will take Mariupol itself."The United Nations estimates that the conflict -- sparked by the February 2014 ouster in Kiev of a Moscow-backed president -- has killed more than 6,800 people and driven at least 1.4 million from their homes.Russia denies accusations by Ukraine and its allies of orchestrating and supporting the conflict to try to prevent the former Soviet state establishing closer ties with the West.
Recalling famine, Russians decry Kremlin destruction of food imports-The Kremlin's decision to destroy some 400 tons of Western food covered by countersanctions offends those who remember the Soviet years.Christian Science Monitor By Fred Weir-AUG 12,15-YAHOONEWS
Larissa Tarkhanova well remembers the Soviet-era rituals of lining up, often for hours, to obtain basic foodstuffs in the "grocery stores" of those days. As a clerk in a pretty well-stocked local food shop, Ms. Tarkhanova says she knows how far her country has come, generally supports its leadership, and seldom complains about anything. But today something has upset her – the Kremlin's destruction of perfectly good food. The Russian government has been destroying vast quantities of foodstuffs, from pork and cheese to apples and tomatoes, because they originated in Western countries covered by retaliatory counter-sanctions ordered by President Vladimir Putin a year ago. And that waste – almost 400 tons of food incinerated or bulldozed in the past several days – is rubbing a lot of Russians, who have memories like Tarkhanova's, the wrong way.Recommended: Sochi, Soviets, and tsars: How much do you know about Russia? "My parents went hungry during the war, and we never had very much. It just seems like a criminal waste to destroy food as they are doing. It's against the traditions of this country," she says. "If it's contraband, OK, confiscate it. But why not give it to orphanages, or resell it at low prices for poor people? Punish the smugglers, but why do my eyes have to burn when I see this?"WHY THE WASTE? While the extent of this mood has yet to be confirmed by public opinion polls, the mass food wastage does seem to have struck a raw nerve with many Russians. Even people who seldom have a bad word to say about Mr. Putin, or Russia's government, seem viscerally opposed to the idea of plowing juicy-looking peaches into the earth. The Kremlin's in-house human rights council has deplored the policy. Duma deputies and Orthodox priests are among the nearly 350,000 people who have signed an on-line petition calling on Putin to cancel the program.Social media has erupted in anger and derision over the spectacle. While that's not so unusual for Russia's freewheeling Internet, some of the commentary, juxtaposing images of food being willfully destroyed with famines within living memory, seems more biting than usual."I don't understand how, in a country that survived the terrible privations of war and the horrible years of the post-revolutionary period, we could be destroying food," tweeted the normally pro-Kremlin media personality Vladimir Solovyiev this week. The food destruction program was ordered personally by Putin two weeks ago to crack down on efforts to circumvent the counter-sanctions regime by relabeling produce from European Union countries as coming from non-sanctioned places like Turkey or Brazil. Both Putin's signature on the order, and the graphic media coverage showing eradication of baskets of lettuce, cheeses, and boxes of bacon, leave little doubt that this is not simply bureaucracy run amok, but a deliberate political point being driven home by the Kremlin."Putin has put his own name to this, so it's certainly something to do with asserting his own legitimacy," says Nikolai Petrov, a professor at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. "He may be demonstrating his toughness and resolve vis-à-vis the West, and telling Russians they must not evade the hard choices that go with that. We all have to make sacrifices."-'THIS IS THE WAY THINGS ARE'-It has been an open secret over the past year that a good deal of sanctioned European produce has been slipping into Russia through the open borders with its EurAsian Union partners Belarus and Kazakhstan, who don't have much enthusiasm for enforcing the bans. The crackdown may be partly aimed at pressuring those friendly governments to be more compliant with Russian wishes. The EU formerly sent about 10 percent of its food exports to Russia, worth about $13 billion. The Kremlin's demonstrative food destruction may be partly designed to intensify the impact of the counter-embargo, which many Russian analysts credit with sowing doubt within Europe over the EU's anti-Russian sanctions.Another goal could be to encourage Russian entrepreneurs to invest more heavily in import substitution, by giving them assurances that their often lower quality produce won't get pushed off the market by covertly imported European goods. According to Bloomberg, in the first six months of 2015, Russia's poultry output increased 11.4 percent from the same period in 2014, meat production jumped 13.2 percent, and cheese production increased 27.5 percent.Putin's popularity ratings still hover well above 80 percent. Experts suggest he's using the food show to circle the wagons more tightly in anticipation that Russia's problems with the West will probably go on for a long time – and people had better get used to paying the price for that."Movies and TV have played their role in making Russians see eye-to-eye with the Kremlin over what happened in Crimea and Ukraine. But actions are needed, too," says Mr. Petrov. "This [food destruction] spectacle is a way to make everyone feel directly involved, and accept that this is the way things are."

Chinese diplomat outlines limits to freedom of navigation-Associated Press By JIM GOMEZ-AUG 12,15-YAHOONEWS
MANILA, Philippines (AP) — China respects freedom of navigation in the disputed South China Sea but will not allow any foreign government to invoke that right so its military ships and planes can intrude in Beijing's territory, the Chinese ambassador said.Ambassador Zhao Jianhua said late Tuesday that Chinese forces warned a U.S. Navy P-8A not to intrude when the warplane approached a Chinese-occupied area in the South China Sea's disputed Spratly Islands in May. A CNN reporter who was on board the plane, which had taken off from the Philippines, reported the incident then."We just gave them warnings, be careful, not to intrude," Zhao told reporters on the sidelines of a diplomatic event in Manila.Washington, however, does not recognize any territorial claim by any country in the South China Sea, a policy that collides with the position of China, which claims virtually the entire sea. When asked why China shooed away the U.S. Navy plane when it has pledged to respect freedom of navigation in the South China Sea, Zhao outlined the limits in China's view."Freedom of navigation does not mean to allow other countries to intrude into the airspace or the sea which is sovereign. No country will allow that," Zhao said. "We say freedom of navigation must be observed in accordance with international law. No freedom of navigation for warships and airplanes."Zhao also repeated an earlier pronouncement by Beijing that China's use of land reclamation to create new islands at a number of disputed Spratly reefs has ended. China, he said, would now start constructing facilities to support freedom of navigation, search and rescue efforts when accidents occur, and scientific research."When we say we're going to stop reclamation, we mean it," Zhao said.He acknowledged that "necessary defense facilities" would also be constructed. The U.S. and its allies, including the Philippines, have asked China to stop the massive island construction, saying it has increased tensions in an increasingly militarized area and threatened regional stability. They say the Chinese construction work violates a 2002 regional pact signed by Beijing which urges rival claimants not to undertake new construction or take any step that would worsen tensions.Adm. Scott Swift, commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, said last month in Manila that Washington does not recognize any of the territorial claims and its position won't change even if disputed areas are reinforced by construction work."We recognize those claims as being contested and the contested nature of those claims is unchanged despite the reclamation efforts of any country, any country, not just China," Swift said.Territorial disputes involving China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia and Brunei have flared on and off for years, creating fears that the South China Sea could spark Asia's next major armed conflict. Tensions rose again last year when China began the island building on at least seven reefs in the Spratlys.Zhao also said China does not know the source of a long pipeline kept afloat by plastic floatation devices with Chinese markings that was recently found by Filipino fishermen near the coast of the northwestern Philippines. There has been speculation that the pipeline may have been used in China's island-making and dredging work and then drifted away for unclear reasons, posing a hazard to passing ships. Philippine coast guard officials say they have not ascertained who owned the pipeline."Even the people there cannot tell so it's not sure where it came from," Zhao said.
Hamas chief meets Turkish leaders in Ankara-AFP-AUG 12,15-YAHOONEWS
Ankara (AFP) - Hamas chief Khaled Meshaal held closed-door talks with Turkish leaders in Ankara late on Wednesday, officials said.Meshaal, who often shows up at events hosted by the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. No statement was made to the press after the talks. The visit came just weeks after Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon accused Turkey of hosting a senior member of the Islamist movement's exiled leadership who was actively planning attacks.Attempts to activate cells in the West Bank originate in "Hamas headquarters in Gaza and Istanbul, from where Salah Aruri plans severe attacks against us by proxies in the West Bank and in neighbouring countries," he said."Salah Aruri is acting from Turkey -- a NATO member, which at the same time allows a terror base on its territory," he charged.Israeli media subsequently reported that Turkey had bowed to the US pressure and agreed to order Aruri to leave the country.A Turkish official on Wednesday said that Aruri was not in Turkey."He is not in Turkey according to information I have," he said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
N. Korea's vice premier 'executed'-AFP-AUG 12,15-YAHOONEWS
Choe, who took the job in June 2014, was executed by firing squad in May after voicing opposition to forestry policies promoted by Kim, Yonhap said, citing the source "with knowledge of the North".Choe was last seen in the North's state media last December at the death anniversary of the late leader Kim Jong-Il, South Korea's unification ministry said Wednesday.Seoul was "closely monitoring the possibility of any changes in Choe's circumstances", said the ministry, which is in charge of cross-border affairs.Choe's death, if confirmed, would be the second reported this year. Defence minister Hyon Yong-Chol was said to have been executed in April by anti-aircraft fire for insubordination and dozing off during formal military rallies. Such a violent method of execution has been cited in various unconfirmed reports as being reserved for senior officials who the leadership wished to make examples of.The North has not officially confirmed Hyon's execution -- reported in May by Seoul's intelligence agency -- but announced his replacement, Pak Yong Sik, in July. The South's spy agency also claimed in May that Kim had executed dozens of officials -- including his own uncle -- since taking power after the death of his father in December 2011.Pyongyang in December 2013 made an unusually public announcement of the shock execution of the uncle, Jang Song-Thaek, for charges including treason and corruption.Kim, believed to be in his early 30s, has repeatedly reshuffled senior army officials in a move analysts say was aimed at forcing them to remain loyal to the young ruler. The Kim dynasty has ruled the impoverished and isolated North for more than six decades with an iron fist, a pervasive personality cult and almost no tolerance for dissent.

Latest Indian, French warplane deal runs into problems: sources-Reuters By Sanjeev Miglani-AUG 12,15-YAHOONEWS
NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India's order of 36 French-made Rafale fighter jets has run into trouble with government officials struggling to agree sales terms, sources said, four months after Prime Minister Narendra Modi intervened to break a logjam in previous commercial negotiations. Two senior Indian defense officials told Reuters that both sides were wrangling over the unit price of the aircraft and a condition that planemaker Dassault Aviation invest a big percentage of the value of the multi-billion dollar contract in India. The problems threaten to further delay the modernization of India's aging air force.Military officials have warned of a major capability gap opening up with rivals China and Pakistan without new Western warplanes or if local defense contractors cannot build what the military needs in a timely manner.Modi and French President Francois Hollande announced the government-to-government deal for the sale of the off-the-shelf Rafale fighters on April 10.That followed three years of commercial negotiations with Dassault for 126 aircraft that stalled due to disagreements over assembling most of the aircraft in India.Citing India's urgent defense needs, Modi chose to deal directly with Paris for a smaller order, saying officials would work out the details. On May 16, Indian Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar told local media that negotiations over pricing would be finished in a "month or two".But those talks were bogged down over India's insistence on a lower price for the frontline warplanes than the roughly $200 million each that was discussed with Dassault during the commercial talks, said the two defense officials, who have been briefed on the new negotiations.Under the previous proposal, Dassault was to assemble 108 of the aircraft in India, a move New Delhi hoped would help boost a high-tech local aerospace industry. There is no production in India in the new arrangement." Since there is no technology transfer, the price that was on the table during the commercial talks cannot stand," said one of the officials, who declined to be identified because he was not authorized to speak to the media. The Indian Defense Ministry said negotiators were in talks to produce a draft agreement, but declined to give details. Parrikar said last week that New Delhi had told Paris in April it wanted the jets as soon as possible.A Dassault spokesman declined to comment, as did the French defense procurement agency.-DEBATE OVER OFFSETS-The two Indian officials said another sticking point was New Delhi's standard requirement that arms makers invest a percentage of the value of any deal above $50 million in India.Such so-called offset policies are not unusual in the developing world, where Western defense firms have invested in local technology and jobs in return for sales. In this instance, India wants Dassault to invest at least 30 percent of the contract value in India through activities such as the sourcing of components for future French operations, the setting up of manufacturing facilities in India or by providing high-tech job training, the officials said.France has said it was ready to meet the offset obligations, but that it would take time to set up a vendor base in India for components for example and that this could push up the deal's cost, the first defense official said."Unless this is waived at the highest levels, the Defense Ministry is proceeding on the basis that offset requirements have to be met," the official said.During the commercial negotiations, India had set the offset bar at 50 percent of the contract, the official added."This issue has become bigger than the procurement," said Amit Cowshish, a former financial advisor on arms purchases to the Indian Defense Ministry, who has been tracking the negotiations.DIFFERENT PRIORITIES-Complicating matters, the Indian Air Force (IAF) had asked for technical modifications so the latest weapons could be fitted to the jets, the second defense official said.Initial technical specifications, which were part of the commercial negotiations, were outlined a decade ago when India began the process of seeking new fighters.A French source familiar with the matter said differing priorities within India were delaying matters, with the air force focused on weaponry and the Defense Ministry on offsets."All along the IAF has asked for more armaments than what Dassault has offered while the Indian administration has demanded offsets," the source said. The air force declined to comment, saying the deal was in the government's hands. The Rafale fighters are meant to fill a gap in an air force deployed for a two-front war against China and Pakistan.A domestic program to build a light combat aircraft to form the backbone of the air force is 19 years behind schedule, with the first plane due for final operational clearance in March 2016.Meanwhile, nearly 260 MiG 21 and MiG 27 Cold War-era fighter jets are due to be phased out in about eight years."Even with the entry of the Rafales, the air force has reconciled itself to depleted aircraft strength over the next decade," said retired air vice marshal Kapil Kak.(Additional reporting by Cyril Altmeyerhenzien in PARIS; Editing by Dean Yates)
Leaked documents raise anger over Palestinian corruption-Associated Press By MOHAMMED DARAGHMEH-AUG 12,15-YAHOONEWS
RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) — Documents leaked online detailing two attempts by Palestinian officials to misuse public funds have triggered outrage, highlighting the corruption and mismanagement critics say remains rampant in the Palestinian government. The furor over the documents comes as the Palestinian economy is stagnating and Palestinians grow increasingly displeased with government services. Palestinian Authority officials have defended their record on stamping out corruption, saying they've recovered millions of dollars in misspent funds.A senior Palestinian official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not allowed to discuss the leak, confirmed the documents' authenticity to The Associated Press. The origin of the leak was not known and the documents had been circulated on Facebook. They have offered a rare glimpse into the wheeling and dealing of the Palestinian government, long bogged down by rivalries. One document, signed by Majdi al-Khaldi, a diplomatic adviser to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas who accompanies him on his trips to world capitals, asked Bahrain's foreign minister for $4 million to fund a private neighborhood complex for Palestinian officials in an upscale area of Ramallah in the West Bank. He insisted the complex was "meant to resist the Israeli settlements," even though there are no settlements where the complex was built.Opposing Jewish settlements in the West Bank is a major rallying cry for Palestinians, who demand the territory that Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast war as part of their future state, along with the Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem. It isn't clear if Bahrain ever paid the money. Al-Khaldi declined to comment when reached by the AP.The other document by Nazmi Muhanna, general director of the Palestinian Crossing and Borders Authority, requested the government pay for his daughter's schooling as well as medical treatment for his family in Jordan for a total of $15,000, a hefty sum for many Palestinians. Muhanna defended his demand, saying it was permitted by the Palestinian government. The government later said it did not cover those expenses.Outrage over the documents quickly spread on social media, where Palestinians challenged everything from their leadership's finances to its political legitimacy in the face of repeatedly delayed elections, last held in 2005."If Muhanna's daughter costs the Palestinian Authority 6,500 Jordanian Dinars (about $9,175) in private school in Jordan, what about the poor students in government schools? Who will pay attention to them?" Mohammed Abu Allan, a Palestinian political blogger, wrote on Facebook.Observers say corruption has decreased since the 2004 death of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. Abbas has promised reforms, but he has been criticized for ignoring corruption among his loyalists while targeting political rivals.Azmi Shoabi, the head of Aman, a branch of the corruption watchdog Transparency International, said "there are big black holes" in the Palestinian financial and administrative system that "need to be addressed and reformed." Those include failing to publish financial reports properly and on time while not overseeing some 20 government-run funds headed by executives with excessive salaries, he said.Various public departments have become "private kingdoms" for some officials, Shoabi said. The Palestinian parliament, which has limited oversight powers, has been defunct since the Islamic militant group Hamas' 2007 ouster of Abbas' government in Gaza.Rafeq Natsheh, who heads the Palestinian anti-corruption commission, said that the body is fighting against graft and has recovered millions of stolen dollars. But for Palestinians, the leaked documents only reinforced perceptions that their government remains tainted."We need to see the real picture which is much bigger than the fees of Muhanna's daughter," Rami Mehdawi, a columnist for the Palestinian al-Ayam newspaper, wrote on Facebook. "The entire Palestinian system needs to be addressed and reformed to clean up the rampant corruption, mismanagement and nepotism."___Associated Press writer Ian Deitch in Jerusalem contributed to this report.

Panama declares drought emergency-AFP By Juan José Rodríguez-AUG 12,15-YAHOONEWS
Panama City (AFP) - Panama's government has declared a state of emergency as it faces a drought that has prompted water restrictions, depleted reservoirs and affected shipping through its bustling canal. The government blamed the El Nino weather phenomenon for the major drought. The state of emergency declared Tuesday also sets up a government board tasked with rushing to deliver a water security plan in under four months."El Nino" refers to the abnormal warming of surface waters in the tropical sections of the Pacific Ocean every three to five years that can have wide-ranging impacts on regional climate.Climatologists began observing the most recent El Nino several months ago, and some fear that because of global warming the phenomenon will hit many areas with increasing frequency and greater destructive potential in coming years. The government must deliver "needed steps ... to develop water reserves to avoid shortages for people's consumption and for food security in the Central American nation" caused by the drought, it warned. For now, authorities have barred use of drinking water to water lawns, gardens and golf courses. It also stopped issuing permits that allow people to burn branches, brush and other natural waste for fear of fueling wildfires.Last week, authorities said the canal, which connects the Pacific and the Atlantic through the Caribbean, would temporarily limit the size of ships using the waterway due to the drought. The Panama Canal Authority said the maximum ship draft will be cut to 11.89 meters (39 feet) from September 8, affecting 18.5 percent of vessels that normally transit the link between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.A ship's draft is its depth in the water, and changes as the vessel becomes heavier or lighter.- More canal restrictions possible -The canal authority said further restrictions could be imposed on September 16 if weather conditions do not change. The Panama Canal handles five percent of global shipping, but may need to upgrade its century-old infrastructure in the face of rival bids for market share from Egypt's Suez Canal and a new Nicaraguan canal being planned by a Chinese company.Originally scheduled for completion last year, a more than five-billion-dollar canal upgrade is now only expected to be ready in April 2016.Canal administrator Jorge Quijano said the month of June and the first half of July were the driest period in 102 years.Water levels in the lakes that feed the canal have dropped sharply as well.Dry weather conditions in March 1998 saw authorities take similar measures. The emergency is meant to last until some two months after the World Meteorological Organization's data on El Nino shows that temperatures in the tropical equatorial Pacific have decreased to a target level.

Northern California blaze grows, jumps into Napa County-Associated Press-AUG 12,15-YAHOONEWS
LOWER LAKE, Calif. (AP) — Erratic winds fanned a wildfire burning through rugged hills in Northern California on Wednesday, pushing the flames across two counties and chasing at least 150 people from their homes. Many in the region about 100 miles north of San Francisco had only recently returned after an earlier blaze threatened their homes. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said early Wednesday that the fire expanded across 26 square miles and crews had the flames 6 percent contained, a slight uptick from Tuesday evening's figure. Full containment isn't expected until Monday. The fire erupted in dry timber and brush Sunday several miles from the community of Lower Lake. It leapt from Lake County into wine-famous Napa County, but no vineyards are threatened.Empire Mini Storage manager, Desiree Mcalear said the business in Middletown has had many calls and visits from those who want to rent units in case they have to evacuate."They're absolutely scared and terrified," she said. "It's kind of a waiting game right now.""It's all just a matter of Mother Nature. If the winds decide to blow this way then we all need to take action. Right now we have the luxury of waiting and being patient," she added.More than 1,100 firefighters are battling the blaze that is threatening 50 structures. No homes have been destroyed, and no injuries have been reported.Meanwhile, firefighters have nearly surrounded the larger nearby blaze that started about two weeks ago. That fire destroyed 43 homes-The causes of both fires remain under investigation. While temperatures this past week have been relatively mild, it's the gusty winds and the dry conditions encouraging the wildfires. In Southern California, all evacuation orders have been lifted as crews have increased containment of a small wildfire sparked by a burning motor home in rural Riverside County.Officials say one person from the motor home was burned. Three firefighters were taken to hospitals with minor injuries.State fire officials said Wednesday that the blaze about halfway between Temecula and Palm Desert has been held to 450 acres. It is 50 percent contained.Statewide, 16 active wildfires continue to burn in California, with more than 11,000 firefighters battling them.____Associated Press writers Kristin J. POISONED WATERS
8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
19 And ye (MIGRATING BIRDS IN ISRAEL) shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.(RUSSIAN/ARAB/MUSLIM ISRAEL HATERS)
20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.
21 And I (GOD-JESUS) will set my glory among the heathen,(WORLD NATIONS) and all the heathen (WORLD NATIONS) shall see my judgment that I have executed,(AGAINST ISRAELS ENEMIES) and my (GODS) hand that I have laid upon them.(ISRAELS HATER ENEMIES)
