A year after MH17 downed, families want justice-Reuters By Anthony Deutsch and Maria Tsvetkova-JULY 16,15-YAHOONEWS
AMSTERDAM/HRABOVE, Ukraine (Reuters) - One by one, the names of the 298 passengers and crew who died aboard Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 will be read aloud by relatives on Friday, a year after the passenger jet was shot out of the sky over rebel-held eastern Ukraine.Commemorations in the Netherlands and Ukraine on Friday will mark a painful milestone for the families, some of whom have had to wait until now for scattered remains to be recovered."We received 19 very small pieces this month," said Silene Fredriksz, whose son Bryce was in the plane with his girlfriend, Daisy. "We will never get all of them back, because they have stopped looking, but I cannot wait any longer."Funerals for Bryce and Daisy will be held after the memorial this week, she said.In Ukraine, the crash site near the village of Hrabove is now marked by flowers and toys brought by locals in memory of the many children who died."God forbid this happens here again or anywhere else," said Alexander Pereverzev, who lives just 300 meters (yards) away. "I feel so sorry for the people who died."The tragedy marked a turning point in the conflict in eastern Ukraine between government forces and pro-Russian separatist rebels, in which more than 6,500 people have now been killed.Western governments believe the rebels shot down the plane at cruising altitude with a Russian-supplied BUK missile system, a version based on radio intercepts, photographic and video evidence, witness statements and satellite imagery.Russia denies involvement in the Ukrainian conflict, and Moscow and the separatists have suggested the plane was downed with a missile fired from a Ukrainian fighter jet, something Kiev denies. In comments last year, a Russian deputy minister also appeared to allow for the possibility that rebels had shot down MH17 in a failed attempt to hit a Ukrainian military plane.Dutch authorities have said they are not yet ready to identify culprits, but have called for a U.N. tribunal.Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday said that would be "counterproductive and premature," putting Moscow directly at odds with the Netherlands, Malaysia, Belgium, Australia and Ukraine, which are part of the criminal inquiry.A report on the cause of the crash from the Dutch Safety Board, a preliminary copy of which has been circulated to half a dozen government with nationals onboard, is due in October.-"THEY CANNOT GET AWAY WITH THIS"-But as the international investigation drags on, the patience of the relatives is wearing thin. Families from several countries have started lawsuits against the airline on the grounds that, unlike some other carriers, it continued to operate flights over a conflict zone where rebels were known to be using anti-aircraft weapons. At the time, Malaysia's transport minister said MH17 was on an approved international flight path, at the approved altitude, and quoted European aviation authority Eurocontrol as saying 75 airlines had flown the same route in the two days before the disaster."They cannot get away with this. They cannot just shoot a civilian aircraft out of the sky. Somebody has to be held accountable," Fredriksz said. The bereaved mother complains of a lack of transparency from the Dutch government, and fears that conflicting interests will get in the way of justice. "I am not sure we will officially ever know who was behind this. There are too many political and economic interests."The deaths of nearly 200 Dutch nationals on the plane have struck deep in the psyche of the nation of 17 million people. Opinion polls suggest a majority of the population holds Russia responsible.Diplomatic relations with Moscow have deteriorated, and the government is rethinking its reliance on Russian energy. [ID: nL6N0UN3SI]-On Thursday, the port of Rotterdam, Europe's largest, said plans to build an oil storage terminal for 1 billion euros with a Russian investor had been scrapped. [ID: nA5N0XB00E] Last year, the Dutch backed out of plans to invest in a multi-billion euro pipeline to bring Russian gas to Europe.-STOP AND PRAY-Near Hrabove, located between the two rebel strongholds of Luhansk and Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, a makeshift memorial has been erected in a charred field.A Russian sign reads: "Stop and pray. Feel the minutes run. The Boeing crashed here. And in a horrible moment. It took somebody's life away."In eastern Ukraine, witnesses are also eagerly awaiting the results of the Dutch investigation into who was behind the plane's downing. Here too, the dead will be honored in a ceremony on Friday. A priest will walk to the crash site and a modest monument, funded by the local rebel government, will be unveiled. In Russia, paper planes with names of the dead were to be taken to the Dutch embassy in Moscow on Friday morning.A steady stream of relatives of the victims have visited eastern Ukraine in search of belongings, or to see for themselves where they lost their loved ones."Despite long distances, we feel empathy and mourn the death of innocent people,” said Vladimir Berezhnoy, a local administrator. He recalled a visit from a Dutch musician who lost a sibling in the disaster.“He looked for his brother, tried to find anything that belonged to him. He came to our office, played piano. He was not angry," he said.(Additional reporting by Thomas Escritt; Editing by Mark Trevelyan)
Dylann Roof appears in court: Why is judge withholding witness, reports?-Media organizations are challenging a court order that restricts their access to trial participants and court documents.Christian Science Monitor By Kevin Truong-JULY 16,15-YAHOONEWS
Media organizations including The Associated Press, Charleston’s The Post and Courier, and the South Carolina Press Association are challenging a court order that barred attorneys from talking about the case and prevented the release of emergency dispatch calls, coroner reports, and witness reports until a hearing next Wednesday. The order was instituted because of a concern by the judge that Dylann Roof’s right to a fair trial could be impaired because of pretrial publicity.Recommended: How well do you know American extremism? Take the quiz.Media organizations are arguing that the judge’s gag order is too broad and the public has the right to know about the details of the case.Thursday was Mr. Roof’s first appearance in court since his bond hearing on June 19, where the families of the massacre's victims expressed their grief and forgiveness of alleged murderer.James Gosnell – the county magistrate who oversaw the bond hearing – has been accused of making the procedural legal event a media spectacle.“Particularly at a bond hearing, the magistrate is there to preside over the administrative proceeding and move the case along,” Susan Milligan wrote in US News and World Report. “Gosnell should have resisted the temptation to assert an advocacy role in the process. And if the cameras weren't there, maybe he wouldn't have done so.”Authorities say that Roof will also be presented with indictments for his alleged crimes at the court date. Roof faces nine counts of murder, three counts of attempted murder, and a weapons charge for the shooting at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church on June 17. He also faces possible federal hate crime charges.Law enforcement officials have said that Roof has confessed to the crimes he has been accused of committing because of racial motivations, but it is unknown whether he will enter a plea on Thursday. After his arrest, a website containing a racist manifesto allegedly authored by Roof, emerged. The site also showed Roof posing with the flag of Rhodesia and the Confederate battle flag, which has been seen as a symbol of racism, and conversely, Southern pride and heritage.Legislative action and massive public pressure led to the Confederate flag’s removal from the South Carolina state Capitol where it had flown for decades.Roof's trial date has been set for July 11, 2016.This report contains material from the Associated Press and Reuters.
South Carolina judge extends order sealing church massacre documents-Reuters By Harriet McLeod-JULY 16,15-YAHOONEWS
CHARLESTON, S.C. (Reuters) - A South Carolina judge on Thursday extended for another week a temporary order sealing court documents and silencing lawyers and others involved in the case of the slayings of nine people at a historic black church in Charleston last month.Ninth Circuit Judge J.C. Nicholson cited concern about "any graphic pictures of the victims dead on the floor of the church or 911 calls that might have recorded the sounds of victims."Suspected gunman Dylann Roof sat quietly in a gray striped prison suit and shackles next to a public defender during a 30-minute hearing in which the judge set July 11, 2016, for the start of the trial. The 21-year-old white man was arrested a day after the June 17 killings and charged with nine counts of murder in what authorities say was a racially motivated massacre.A defense attorney told the hearing Roof's competency to stand trial is not an issue and that he has a high school certificate. His attorneys waived bond, but the judge said he was denying it anyway. Prosecutors have not said if they will seek the death penalty and Roof has yet to enter a plea. The South Carolina Press Association had challenged Nicholson's decision last week to issue a gag order on potential trial participants as well as banning the release of documents including 911 police dispatch calls, coroner's reports and witness statements.Nicholson extended the ban until a hearing on July 22 to allow other interested parties, including relatives of the victims, to be heard.Nicholson issued the order last Friday citing "substantial pre-trial publicity" that could jeopardize Roof's right to a fair trial. On Thursday, however, he said the police photos and 911 calls were his main concern. "Frankly at this stage, the court does not think pre-trial publicity is a problem," he said. The press association argued the public had a right to know about the case and that the judge's order was too broad.Thursday was Roof's first appearance in court since a magistrate's bond hearing on June 19, in which he appeared by video standing in a nearby holding room and victims' family members expressed grief and their forgiveness of him.A grand jury indicted Roof on nine murder charges in the killings of Bible-study members at Charleston's Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal church including its pastor, the Rev. Clementa Pinckney, who was also a state senator.Roof was also indicted on three counts of attempted murder and a firearm charge. He also faces possible federal hate crime charges. After the murders a website linked to Roof surfaced containing a racist manifesto and showing him in photos posing with Confederate flags, a banner from the American Civil War widely considered a symbol of slavery.(Reporting by Harriet McLeod; Writing by David Adams; Editing by Mohammad Zargham and James Dalgleish)
Protesters sue Cleveland over arrests in May demonstration-Reuters By Kim Palmer-July 13, 2015 7:32 PM-YAHOONEWS
CLEVELAND (Reuters) - Four of the dozens of protesters arrested at a demonstration that followed the late May acquittal of a Cleveland police officer on manslaughter charges filed a federal civil rights lawsuit on Monday against Cleveland and city officials. The lawsuit, filed by the American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio for the protesters, accuses the city, Mayor Frank Jackson and Police Chief Calvin Williams of violating their rights over the Memorial Day holiday weekend when the verdict was announced. The lawsuit said police used arrests and custodial detentions to deter and incapacitate protesters, herding them into a small alley way and blocking their exit before ordering them to disperse and arresting them for failing to do so.More than 100 people protested the acquittal of Cleveland Officer Michael Brelo on voluntary manslaughter charges in the deaths of two motorists who were fatally shot after an extended high-speed chase. Those arrested in the protest on Saturday, May 23, were held for 36 hours in unsanitary and cramped conditions because police did not want them to resume protests during professional baseball and basketball games that weekend, the lawsuit said.A spokesman for Mayor Jackson declined to comment on the lawsuit. Most people who were arrested were arraigned on the Monday afterward. Four protesters were charged with felonies, including felonious assault and rioting. Misdemeanor charges against many of the protesters were dismissed in June.(Reporting by Kim Palmer; Editing by David Bailey and Eric Beech)
Exclusive: Russia plans fuel shipments to Syria from Crimea-Reuters By Gleb Gorodyankin and Vladimir Soldatkin-JULY 16,15-YAHOONEWS
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia plans to supply Syria with 200,000 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) per year via the Crimean port of Kerch, two trading sources told Reuters. The plans are a further sign of cooperation between the two countries despite hopes in the West that Russia might stop shielding President Bashar al-Assad from pressure to step aside.Moscow had been shipping significantly lower volumes of LPG to Syria via Kerch before Russia annexed the Crimea peninsula from Ukraine in March 2014.The United States and the European Union, which say the seizure of Crimea violates international law, have imposed sanctions on individuals and business in Crimea, which include restrictions on use of the Kerch port.Russia is a staunch ally of Syria and an exporter of arms to Damascus. President Vladimir Putin reaffirmed support for Assad last month, saying Moscow opposed any use of external force to try to end four-and-a-half years of conflict."There are talks about LPG to first be shipped to Kerch and then to Syria, about 200,000 tonnes per year," one trader said.A second trader confirmed this separately, adding: "Syria needs the Russian fuel badly."-SANCTIONS-It was not immediately clear when supplies of the fuel, which can be used in cars, household utilities or to produce electric power, would start.Sources said the LPG would initially be bought from Russia's top petrochemical firm Sibur by state-connected traders, who would then ship it to Syria themselves.A spokesman for Sibur said the company had not and would not supply LPG to Syria and that it had not been in talks about LPG shipments to the country.Traders familiar with the plans said cargoes would first be sent to Kerch from Russia and then on to Syria. The scheme, they said, was aimed at concealing the supplier's identity due to the possibility of sanctions from the West.Supplies of cargoes to Crimea from Russia via the Kerch Strait are constrained by a lack of infrastructure and the sanctions. Moscow is considering building a bridge from Russia to Crimea through the strait."It would be logical for those countries who do not care about international sanctions to work via Kerch," a trading source said.Only two of the four terminals in Kerch are now working and then only intermittently, because the business has been dampened by the sanctions.A trader said Syria used to announce tenders for LPG purchases worth between 10,000 tonnes and 20,000 tonnes a month. LPG, or propane and butane, is cheaper than many other kinds of fuels, such as gasoline.Russia's top LPG consumer is Turkey, which buys about 1.1 million tonnes of the fuel per year from Russia. Turkey has in the past resold LPG to Syria but the trader said those sales had been halted in December..(Additional reporting by Alexander Ershov and Damir Khalmetov editing by Timothy Heritage and David Clarke)
Noose tightens around thousands caught in Iraq's Anbar offensive-Reuters By Dominic Evans and Isabel Coles-JULY 16,15-YAHOONEWS
BAGHDAD/ERBIL, Iraq (Reuters) - As Iraqi forces prepare to try to recapture the city of Falluja, tens of thousands of civilians find themselves trapped between Islamic State militants ready to use them as human shields and a government suspicious of their loyalties. With the jihadists coercing them to stay, and a government blockade and shelling closing exit routes and cutting off supplies, there is "a vice, a noose around the neck of the population", Lise Grande, the U.N. humanitarian coordinator in Iraq, told Reuters.Iraq's Shi'ite Muslim-led government on Monday announced the start of operations to "liberate Anbar", the province west of Baghdad whose Sunni Muslim cities and towns along the Euphrates have since last year become strongholds of Islamic State."Since military operations began, it has become impossible to leave," said one 42-year-old teacher."They (Islamic State) have planted bombs at the entrance and exits to the city and on the main roads to prevent security forces entering or citizens leaving."Communication with those still inside Falluja is increasingly difficult. The teacher was afraid to let his name be used, and his comments were relayed to Reuters by a friend.Baghdad's last military push against Islamic State, to retake Tikrit in April, came after most citizens had fled.Leaders of the Shi'ite militias fighting alongside Iraq's army say Falluja's civilians will be evacuated before the final push, but, in a climate of fear, residents are not confident. This week, hundreds of fighters who said they had come from Syria and the northern Iraqi city of Mosul paraded through Falluja, said the teacher, whose account of Islamic State's tight control was echoed by other sources. Preachers in mosques were warning people not to cooperate with security forces and, after prayers, Islamists were delivering "jihadist lectures".-PAPERS CONFISCATED-Hisham al-Hashemi, an Iraqi security analyst, said Islamic State had this week confiscated the identity papers of up to 50,000 people to stop them leaving, and that it was extremely difficult to escape either Falluja, seized by Islamic State early last year, or nearby Ramadi. The teacher said the Islamists, who have declared a caliphate in Iraq and Syria, were in effect holding the population hostage to "attract the sympathy of jihadists worldwide" when the government assault came.A 49-year-old taxi driver inside the city said fruit, meat and vegetables were becoming harder to find since roads into the city were blocked. Umm Asma, a housewife, said she was rationing food to her family in case there was a long siege. Some people are still managing to make perilous escapes from Falluja, however; Reuters spoke to four families who said they had left this week.Ahmed Abdul-Rahman, a 48-year-old taxi driver, said he had run the gauntlet of heavy bombardment when he found an exit north of the city to bring out his wife and two children three days earlier."We still can’t believe that we have left Falluja," he said. "We have left everything behind: the car, the house and the furniture."The outskirts of Falluja are at least spared air strikes by a U.S.-led coalition, because the government forces advancing on the city are mostly Iranian-backed Shi'ite "Hashid Shaabi" militias, which Washington is reluctant to support. There is, however, air support for the Iraqi army forces advancing on the provincial capital Ramadi, halfway between Falluja and Baghdad, from where thousands fled in April and May as Islamic State seized the city. There are no precise figures for the remaining populations in either city. Hashemi said Falluja still had around half its pre-crisis population of 370,000. Other estimates suggest far fewer remain.-SUSPICION-But even those who safely make it out of Iraq's Sunni heartland, where Islamic State has in part been able to tap into long-standing resentment of the Shi'ite-led authorities in Baghdad, complain that they are met with suspicion in the capital."All roads were closed off, as if we are enemies of the government," said Saad Jaber, a 41-year-old who said he had been forced to stay with his brother in a town south of Falluja because he could not get to Baghdad."The government was supposed to reward us and help us because we managed to escape from Daesh (Islamic State)," he said. "It's not our fault that the government is weak and unable to defend us."Authorities in Baghdad, which has suffered repeated waves of car bombings claimed by Islamic State, are wary of admitting a flood of displaced Sunni civilians, fearing that militants could slip in with them. That led to many thousands of people being blocked at a bridge across the Euphrates in intense heat earlier this summer. While much of the focus has been on the two main Anbar cities closest to the capital, towns farther up the Euphrates valley nearer to Syria are ever more isolated and finding it harder to get food, Grande said.Haditha, one of the few government-held towns in Anbar, is increasingly cut off by Islamic State fighters. "We have reports that food prices are increasing to the point where families can't afford basic commodities," U.N. coordinator Grande said. But just as the United Nations prepares for "what is likely to be a very difficult summer" of humanitarian crisis across Anbar, she said it was running desperately short of money."Seventy-seven front-line health clinics are closing or dramatically scaling back," she said.Even if security forces are successful in Ramadi and Falluja, they will face further battles - and run into millions more civilians - on the way to recapturing their ultimate northern target, Mosul, Iraq's second city."Many towns will be impacted," Grande said. Already the situation is desperate, and it is getting much, much, much worse."(Additional reporting by Saif Hameed; Editing by Kevin Liffey)
IS claims missile attack on Egypt navy boat-AFP By Samer aL-Atrush-JULY 16,15-YAHOONEWS
Cairo (AFP) - The Islamic State jihadist group said it carried out a missile attack on an Egyptian navy vessel off North Sinai on Thursday, the first such incident in a two-year insurgency. The group's Egyptian affiliate claimed it fired a "guided missile" at the patrol boat north of Rafah, which neighbours the Gaza Strip, in a statement posted on one of its social media accounts. It posted three pictures showing what appeared to be a guided anti-tank missile striking the vessel and causing a large fireball. The military had earlier said one of its boats came under attack and was set on fire while pursuing militants, but that it suffered no losses.Other navy boats rescued the crew as their vessel spewed a plume of smoke, said an AFP photographer across the border in the Gaza Strip. They boarded the vessel, which stayed afloat, to extinguish the flames.Jihadists loyal to the Islamic State group have killed scores of Egyptian soldiers and policemen in the Sinai Peninsula since the army's overthrow of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in 2013.The militants have also carried out attacks west of the Suez Canal, which separates the Sinai from the rest of Egypt. The army said on Wednesday its troops foiled a suicide car bombing of a military post between Cairo and Suez that was claimed by IS's affiliate in Egypt.Thursday's attack, if confirmed, could be the Sunni extremist group's first maritime attack. In November 2014, the Egyptian military said eight navy men drowned after one of its patrol boats came under attack off the country's northern coast. But it has released no further details. The jihadists in Egypt have carried out a series of brazen attacks despite a massive crackdown by the army which says it has killed more than 1,100 militants in Sinai since Morsi's overthrow. The jihadists in Sinai, who pledged loyalty to IS in November, struck a series of military outposts and checkpoints on July 1 that killed at least 21 soldiers. They also claimed responsibility for a car bomb attack on the Italian consulate in Cairo last week. The bombing occurred in the early morning, when the consulate was closed, and killed an Egyptian civilian. The government on Thursday sacked the police chief in Cairo following that and other attacks in the capital.Last month, the country's top prosecutor was killed in a car bombing on his way to work in the city, prompting a furious President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to pledge tougher anti-terrorism laws.Sisi, the former army chief who toppled Morsi, had won elections in 2014 pledging to stamp out militant Islamists.Since Morsi's overthrow, at least 1,400 people, mostly Islamists, have been killed in a police crackdown on protests.Thousands have been imprisoned and hundreds sentenced to death, including Morsi himself. Most of them have won retrials.

ISAIAH 30:26-27

Iraqis brave searing heat in finals days of Ramadan-Associated Press By VIVIAN SALAMA-JULY 16,15-YAHOONEWS
BAGHDAD (AP) — Iraqi policeman Ziad Radi is no stranger to hot weather, but his sun-blasted face is testament that even for seasoned Iraqis, the weather on Thursday was almost too hot to bear.Radi spends eight hours a day patrolling Baghdad's Karradah neighborhood — braving temperatures that on Thursday soared above 51 degrees Celsius (123 Fahrenheit). Add to the mix Ramadan, the holy month when he and many Muslims go from sunrise to sunset without food or water, and you have a recipe for some serious problems."Heat or no heat, this is my responsibility," he said, taking shelter in the shade during a lighter wave of traffic in Baghdad's iconic Firdous Square. "Normally, I drink a lot of water but, thank God, I am fasting now, so I just have to try to keep going."The government declared Thursday an official holiday due to scorching temperatures. Health authorities have warned people not to expose themselves to the sun, with hospitals already receiving an overwhelming number of heat-related cases. The heat adds an extra burden for the thousands of Iraqi soldiers and government-affiliated militiamen combatting Islamic State militants, and also for the estimated 3 million people in Iraq displaced from their homes by the fight against the IS group. With Eid-al-Fitr, commemorating the end of Ramadan, only a day away here in Iraq, the day off meant a jumpstart on the holiday weekend. But few are celebrating the extra day off, with rampant power and water cuts making it unbearable indoors as well.Billions of dollars have been spent trying to fix Iraq's power grids since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion, and yet many Iraqis, including those in the capital, can receive as few as eight hours of power per day at the height of summer. For Hussein Hazim and his school-age friends, that means spending the summer cooling off in the Tigris River. "It is too hot and there is no electricity," he said. "So after sunrise, we come here to cool off ourselves due to high temperatures."Zena Abbas said she would normally sleep these hot Ramadan days away, but the holidays are too busy a time to lounge at home. With six relatives, including her in-laws, coming to spend the Eid weekend with her, she and her daughter had to make several trips to the grocery store on foot to stock up on food."What can we do? Life cannot stop for the heat," she said.Meteorologists warn that the heat could continue through the weekend in central and southern Iraq. But Iraqis are used to getting on with life, even in the most difficult circumstances. In Karradah, someone erected a random sidewalk shower nozzle connected to a hose to offer relief; passers-by, including military soldiers, drenched themselves before setting out again in the heat. Shops selling special fans that spray water often showcase their merchandize on sidewalks across the city, with pedestrians occasionally stopping to take a closer look — or cool off.But Mohammed Azim might have one of the toughest jobs around. The 22-year old makes masgoof — a type of smoked fish dubbed the national dish of Iraq — spending these long, hot summer days standing in front of open flames. He confesses he can't do his job while fasting."I need to drink water," he admitted. "If you are fasting in this heat then God help you!"

THE FIRST JUDGEMENT OF THE EARTH STARTED WITH WATER-IT ONLY MAKES SENSE THE LAST GENERATION WILL BE HAVING FLOODING
GENESIS 7:6-12
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

(Reuters) - Four people have died and at least five were still unaccounted for on Wednesday after a series of storms struck the Ohio Valley, producing flash floods that swept through parts of eastern Kentucky and southern Indiana, officials said.Three bodies have been recovered in Johnson County, Kentucky, which was hard hit by flooding, and a fourth person drowned in southern Indiana after his car was swept into a creek, officials said.Searchers recovered the body of a 22-year-old man on Wednesday afternoon, one of two people listed as missing who were last seen being swept away on Monday by floods in Johnson County, about 125 miles east of Lexington, officials said. The man's family has not been notified of his death and search teams were still looking for the other missing person, Johnson County Coroner J.R. Frisby said.Authorities believe the other four missing people have been unable to notify family members living outside the area, state police Captain Sean Welch said.Officials said Herman Eddie May, 56, drowned Monday evening after leaving his car on a flooded road, and the body of Willa Mae Pennington, 74, was found Tuesday afternoon amidst flood debris, both in Johnson County.Flood damage in Johnson and Rowan counties prompted Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear to declare a state of emergency. In Indiana, Edwin Flaherty, 67, was found dead on Tuesday night after his vehicle was swept into a creek near Charlestown, 20 miles north of Louisville. An autopsy determined he drowned, an Indiana Department of Natural Resources spokesman said.(Reporting by Steve Bittenbender; Editing by Ben Klayman and Eric Walsh)

9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

Planned Parenthood slams secret video as false portrayal of fetus tissue program-Reuters-July 14, 2015 9:53 PM-YAHOONEWS
(Reuters) - Planned Parenthood said on Tuesday a secretly recorded video that surfaced on the Internet falsely portrayed the reproductive health group's participation in the sale of tissue and body parts from aborted fetuses. The non-profit organization said the video had been heavily edited and recorded by a group that was established to damage its reputation. It said in a statement the video "falsely portrays Planned Parenthood's participation in tissue donation programs that support lifesaving scientific research."The video, which has gotten widespread exposure on the Internet, was produced by the California-based Center for Medical Progress, a self-described organization of citizen journalists dedicated to monitoring and reporting on medical ethics and advances.Reaction to the video from some Republican presidential contenders was swift. One of them, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, called for an investigation of Planned Parenthood.Another, former Texas Governor Rick Perry, called the video "a disturbing reminder" of what he characterized as "the organization’s penchant for profiting off the tragedy of a destroyed human life."The video identified a woman speaking about selling fetus body parts as Planned Parenthood Federation of America's senior director of medical services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola. Planned Parenthood confirmed on Tuesday that Nucatola was in the video. The Center for Medical Progress said the video showed Nucatola discussing the sale of body parts from aborted fetuses during lunch with actors posing as buyers from a biological company. The group's leader, David Daleiden, said that for about two and a half years it had been investigating the sale of tissue by Planned Parenthood. "We very quietly have been on this long-term investigation," he said.-'DISTURBING' VIDEO-Laurie Zoloth, a professor of medical humanities and bioethics at Northwestern University, said in an emailed reply to a request for comment that the film was "being used to inflame people about abortion, about which there is a substantial consensus, that abortion should be legal, and rare."However, Zoloth said it was "terribly disturbing because the physician seems to be engaged in a transaction in which the goal is to extract tissue to meet the needs of a company, rather than being focused on the core purpose of her clinic, which is to provide a safe medical procedure."She termed that "an obvious conflict of interest."Zoloth also pointed to the attitude of the physician in the video, observing, "The doctor seems extraordinarily cavalier ... Having this discussion over a meal, while drinking what appears to be wine, takes this further from the realm of professional clinical medicine and into the realm of business."From another perspective, Zoloth, who is also a professor of religious studies, noted, "Within many religious traditions, the act of abortion itself is morally impermissible. The specter of cutting up and using hearts and lungs and legs from aborted fetuses disturbs even supporters who are pro-choice. The physician seems in the video to be unaware of this basic moral problem."-'NO FINANCIAL BENEFIT'-Planned Parenthood, which in addition to abortions provides healthcare and information regarding birth control and other reproductive issues, explained in its statement, "Patients sometimes want to donate tissue to scientific research that can help lead to medical breakthroughs, such as treatments and cures for serious diseases."At several of our health centers, we help patients who want to donate tissue for scientific research, and we do this just like every other high-quality health care provider does - with full, appropriate consent from patients and under the highest ethical and legal standards."There is no financial benefit for tissue donation for either the patient or for Planned Parenthood."The organization added that "in some instances" costs such as those "to transport tissue to leading research centers, were reimbursed, which it said was "standard across the medical field."(Reporting by Jon Herskovitz in Austin, Texas; Additional reporting by Patrick Enright in Seattle and David Bailey in Minneapolis; Editing by Jonathan Oatis and Toni Reinhold)

OZONE DEPLETION JUDGEMENT ON THE EARTH DUE TO SIN
ISAIAH 30:26-27
26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold,(7X OR 7-DEGREES HOTTER) as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people,(ISRAEL) and healeth the stroke of their wound.
27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:
MATTHEW 24:21-22,29
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake (ISRAELS SAKE) those days shall be shortened (Daylight hours shortened)
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
REVELATION 16:7-9
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

Four dead after flash floods in Kentucky, Indiana-Reuters By Steve Bittenbender-JULY 15,15-YAHOONEWS
LOUISVILLE, Ky.
