The Fed is a government-created banking monopoly.

Since the announcement last week that I will chair the congressional subcommittee that oversees the Federal Reserve, the media response has been overwhelming. The groundswell of opposition to Fed actions among ordinary citizens is reflected not only in the rhetoric coming out of Capitol Hill, but also in the tremendous interest shown by the financial press. The demand for transparency is growing, whether the political and financial establishment likes it or not. The Fed is losing its vaunted status as an institution that somehow is above politics and public scrutiny. Fed transparency will be the cornerstone of my efforts as subcommittee chairman.Thanks to public pressure earlier this year, Congress did pass legislation that requires the Fed to disclose some information about its bailout of select industries and companies following the 2008 financial crisis. So two weeks ago the Fed released data concerning more than $3 trillion of assistance it offered to banks through its bailout facilities. After reviewing this data, however, we are left with many more questions about the Fed’s lending.In the Term Securities Lending Facility, the Fed was supposed to have loaned against AAA-rated securities– yet over half of the collateral put up by banks to obtain loans had no listed credit rating. Should we assume that the Fed accepted absolute junk rated securities as collateral for loans? Presumably these securities were so bad that they wouldn’t even publicize their credit rating. So why should our central bank, backed up by your taxes, accept such collateral?

On another note, of the $1.25 trillion purchased under the Fed’s Mortgage-Backed Securities Purchase Program, only $877 billion in purchases have been publicized. What happened to the remaining $400 billion? These kinds of limited disclosures by the Fed only underscore the need for a full and complete audit of the Fed’s financial books. This audit should be done by an independent third party, in the same manner that public companies are audited. The Fed should make public its balance sheet, income statement, and perhaps most importantly its cash flow statement. It also should publicize the notes explaining those financial statements.

We seem to forget sometimes that Congress created the Fed– it is a government-created banking monopoly, and its top decision-makers are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. If the Fed does not perform satisfactorily in the eyes of these politicians and their constituents, the Chairman and Governors may not be re-nominated.In theory, Congress could even repeal the Federal Reserve Act altogether since it has the authority to do so. Obviously Congress is within its authority to audit an organization it created by statute, and it is time to assume that responsibility.With 320 Members of Congress cosponsoring my legislation to fully audit the Fed in the 111th Congress, my hope is that we can build on our broad bipartisan coalition in 2011 and continue the push for greater Fed transparency going forward.

Incoming Financial Services Chairman: Washington’s Role Is To Serve The Banks
Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-AL)During the financial reform debate, Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-AL) — who will become chairman of the House Financial Services Committee in the 112th Congress — continually criticized the reform effort. He falsely characterized the legislation that ultimately became the Dodd-Frank financial reform law as creating permanent bailout authority, and he staunchly opposed the creation of the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.Now that he’ll be taking the Financial Services committee gavel, Bachus has telegraphed his intention to weaken some of the bill’s most important sections, including derivatives reform and rules meant to prevent banks from making risky trades with federally insured dollars.

In an interview with The Birmingham News, Bachus made it clear why he opposed stricter regulations for banks in the wake of a huge financial crisis largely caused by Wall Street excess and a lack of prudent regulation. In Bachus’ estimation, the government’s role is not to protect consumers and the wider economy through regulating financial activity, but to simply serve the banks:Bachus, in an interview Wednesday night, said he brings a main street perspective to the committee, as opposed to Wall Street. In Washington, the view is that the banks are to be regulated, and my view is that Washington and the regulators are there to serve the banks, he said.According to the article, Bachus later tried to clarify that what he meant was regulators should set the parameters in which banks operate but not micromanage them.Bachus is far from the only Republican on the Financial Services Committee who feels that consumers and regulators should be subservient to the banks. Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX), for instance, has said that bank profits should always trump consumer protections. But rarely has a Republican lawmaker laid out so starkly just whose interests he believes Washington is supposed to be protecting.

Back in October, Bachus told a crowd of 100 financial services industry lobbyists that banks should really be making campaign contributions to Republicans, because Democrats hammered the banks by enacting the Dodd-Frank financial regulatory reform law. The banks responded by giving more heavily to Republicans than Democrats in the home stretch to November’s election. And it seems that Bachus is now fully prepared to give them what they paid for.

Saving Private Ryan but losing Lt. Col. Lakin: Too Few Good Men

14 December 2010: Sadly, there seems to be more talk about ineligibility on any given Sunday during football season in the U.S. than about one of the most important issues in America today. It’s the issue that still hasn’t gone away, despite the best attempts of politicians, media pundits, and well known talk show hosts from both sides of the political aisle. It’s the issue of the eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to occupy the highest elected office in the United States.Many Republicans and conservatives, under the influence of their Kool-Aide induced agendas, have described the eligibility issue as a distraction from the real issues. The majority of Democrats and progressives, for obvious reasons, have resorted to associating the issue with race, bigotry and hatred. Together, detractors of this issue from both sides have engaged in the methodical marginalization of the message and mocking those who dare act as the messengers.What could be more fundamentally important than ensuring that the person at the helm of our country, the Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful military in the world, the holder of the keys to the nation’s nuclear lockbox is indeed constitutionally eligible to hold this office? I see more outrage on Sunday afternoons by grown men living vicariously by dressing up in the jersey of their favorite football player when a receiver is declared ineligible.

Despite rabid and consistently incorrect assertions to the contrary, Barack Hussein Obama has not provided one single item of authenticated evidence to prove that he is a natural born citizen and thusly qualified to be president as defined by Article II, Section I, Clause 5 of the United States Constitution. Not only has he not provided such documentation, he has fought long and hard, and spent what many reliable reports suggest as well over a million dollars against releasing his birth certificate and numerous other documents relevant to his background.It is not within the scope of this article nor is it my intent to discuss the definition of natural born citizen, the Vattell Theory, or other technical matters related to this issue beyond this one fact: Obama could have been born in the middle of the White House lawn at noon on a crowded weekday with John, Jackie and Rose Kennedy serving as witnesses, and with Teddy serving the drinks, but that, by itself, does not make him eligible to hold the office of President of the United States.While the so-called men in our country are busily fretting over the news that Brett Favre is ending his NFL streak, there is one real man, an American patriot, whose own unblemished record is also coming to an end today. His name is Lt. Col. Terrence Terry Lakin, an Army flight surgeon with 18 years of honorable service to our country. His military court martial begins today, and by all accounts, he will be spending the next one to five years in Leavenworth.In terms of contemporary history, I’d sadly wager that Favre has better name recognition than Lakin. In terms of historical importance, however, I’d wager that the annuls of American history will hold a special place of valor, honor and bravery for Lt. Col. Lakin. It will not likely be for the venue he chose, his method and manner of battle, but for the fact that this highly decorated man had the guts to do what countless others haven’t. That is to ensure that as an officer in our military, he was following legal and legitimate orders in accordance with the Constitution of the United States.

I doubt that the start of today’s court martial proceedings of this high ranking military official will receive much, if any, coverage by any of the mainstream talk show hosts regardless of the network. If there is any discussion devoted to the issue, it will likely be limited to the fact that Lt. Col. Lakin disobeyed a direct order and essentially invited his own court martial and paved his own destiny. Perhaps that is the case, or at least the most basic legal element of this case.
Meanwhile, the majority of the mainstream conservative commentators and pundits will continue to ignore Lt. Col. Lakin and the larger eligibility issue or mock those who bring it up, even as they pay lip service to the Constitution of the United States. These media pundits have been issued their talking points and a list of topics that are out of bounds. If they wish to continue with their comfortable media careers, they must not stray from the approved script.Members of the elite conservative bloggers who wish to remain on the “A” list of invitees to network and cable news shows must also conform to the topical standards and avoid devoting any virtual print space to this issue. Whether a co-opted conservative pundit or blogger, or a progressive with an inherent disdain for such inconveniences as the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law, their responses or lack thereof will be similar.

Detractors of the eligibility issue will insist that this case is about a military officer failure to report, or in military parlance, missing movement and nothing more. Lt. Col. Lakin failed to obey orders and must be punished, period. This case is about following or failing to follow military orders, nothing more and nothing less.By that logic, the military guards at Auschwitz and other concentration camps should never have been subjected to trial at Nuremberg or otherwise punished. After all, they were just following orders. As for the detention and extermination of the Jews, well, bringing that up while there was a war going on was a distraction from the real issues of the day.

A mission revised
There is one major difference, however, between our initial focus and our operation of today. It is a difference born of a combination of experience, investigative insight, and the more visible actions of opponents to our security and freedoms. It is our broadened investigative focus of every individual or group who threatens our security and way of life, whether through terrorism or tyranny. Failure to address the former illustrates a lack of credibility. Failure to address the latter exhibits a lack integrity. Failure to address both will lead to the ultimate destruction of our country. 13 December 2010: In the immediate aftermath of the 2001 attacks on America, nearly a dozen career investigators located throughout the United States joined together to proactively search for existing threats to the U.S. Individually and collectively, we were affected by the events of that day and in the days that immediately followed, having lost family members, friends or professional colleagues by these murderous attacks or in the subsequent rescue and recovery efforts.We were united in not only grief, but in resolve to do anything and everything in our power to protect our nation, our communities, our friends and loved ones from further death and destruction to the best extent of our abilities. Our group ultimately became known as the Northeast Intelligence Network, a name adopted by our organization based in part on the geographical concentration of investigators in the northeast portion of the U.S.As a result of an initial conference involving all members of the Northeast Intelligence Network, I was selected to be the spokesperson and primary contact for our organization. Some investigators, due to their roles in undercover assignments in the private sector and in their capacity as commissioned law enforcement officers, are legitimately required to remain anonymous.

As we became more well known inside and beyond law enforcement and intelligence circles, other individuals became involved as volunteer assets, allowing us to expand into military and other areas of intelligence. All such individuals have been thoroughly vetted and provided their bona fides for verification.Immediately following the establishment of our organization, we provided the U.S. Department of Justice an outline of our organization, our intended course of action, and complete dossiers of our members. In early 2002, we received specific instructions from the USDOJ on the channels to be used to furnish both critical and non-critical information regarding terrorist threats.Although many of those channels remain active and operational today, we have successfully cultivated other channels to assure that the recipients of our information are truly committed to preserving the security, sovereignty and safety of our nation. The significance of this will become clear.

Initial focus & activities

Although all of us were aware of the threat posed by Islamic terrorism well before September 2001, we were shocked by our initial findings relative to the scope and severity of the threat that existed already inside of the U.S. We discovered what professional intelligence analysts, most in the private sector, had known for some time: Islamic terrorists, their sympathizers and supporters were exploiting our laws and religious freedoms to wage war against us. They were freely using the Internet to recruit, motivate and train terrorists and terrorist sympathizers domestically and abroad to not only physically carry out additional terrorist attacks to murder and maim innocent civilians, but to infiltrate all aspects and all levels of our own government and other Western governments. In addition to those individuals and groups committed to attacking us with bombs and bullets, there exists a covert network of supporters and sympathizers, many who were and are posing as Muslim moderates.Between 1 October 2001 through the early spring of 2002, the Northeast Intelligence Network operated without public interaction. As a result of our findings relative to the extent of the threat we faced, the level of infiltration we found, and what we perceived as the various degrees of compromise of numerous federal agencies, we opted to create an informational web site to provide the public with our investigative results.Collectively we felt that this would have a two-fold purpose. First, it would serve as an informational and perhaps and educational outlet for the public, illustrating the extent of the threats we were observing. Secondly, it would serve as an informal method of accountability with regard to the general information we provided to federal authorities. With regard to the former, we were the first agency to post the actual videos of Muslim terrorists beheading their captors.Amid a flurry of national controversy, we did this to illustrate the savage nature of those who declared war against us at a time when the corporate media was just beginning to downplay these despicable acts. Based on the many thousands of e-mails we received about showing the full video clips of the beheadings, one thing became clear: the majority of the public was unaware of the evil and barbaric savagery of Islamic terrorism.Over the years, we have investigated numerous suspicious incidents, identified, translated and submitted numerous Internet postings of known and suspected terrorists, received countless tips, conducted numerous field investigations and provided volumes of documents to a variety of federal agencies. In a venue where feedback is never requested or expected, we were surprised by receiving brief acknowledgements that some of the data we provided indeed changed the course of certain events. That feedback came from those with boots on the ground who actually responded to such information. We are very thankful for these heroic and patriotic men and women of law enforcement, who understand and abide by the U.S. Constitution, for their actions in keeping our nation truly safe.

It is therefore interesting that it has been some of these very same people who have admitted that despite their best efforts and the authenticated veracity of some of the information we have provided, they have been waved off certain cases. Follow-up and further scrutiny found no legitimate purpose behind such instruction. Obviously, one must ask why? Furthermore, we have documented instances of paramilitary style training taking place inside the U.S. Our documentation has even been cited in books, investigative articles, and even government published reports. As a result of exposing such activity, we have received numerous threats by Islamic terrorists, including one particularly high profile Pakistani sheikh who was involved in the kidnapping and murder of Daniel Pearl. Yet these well documented activities that are obviously contrary to our national security have been allowed to continue unfettered. Again, one must ask why?

Growing forward

The Irish poet and dramatist Oscar Wilde wrote the pure and simple truth is rarely pure and never simple.As investigators, we have always been committed to seeking the truth, regardless of where that path to the truth might lead. That tactic was often the cause of much frustration, as we began to notice that certain truths were handled differently than others. As in all types of thorough and truly independent investigations, sometimes revealing the truth is inconvenient, embarrassing, and downright messy. This is particularly relevant when political agendas influence and even corrupt the letter and spirit of our Constitution, the laws of our founders.

Currently, there are numerous other intelligence and security web sites that report strictly on Islamic terrorism as a stand-alone threat to our society. These sites are often integrated and utilized by the highest levels of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Our incidental interaction with these sites and the agencies behind them found very little distinction between the information they are publicly providing to the public and the official version being provided by the actual government agencies. We have been troubled by this contrived consistency, especially as it moves farther from fact and truth.There are also other web sites that offer information about the of Islamic terror threats, and provide commentaries and editorials that present such threats through the single lens of one political party or the other. They often elevate one party over another, one politician over another, or in some instances, deliver their message in a shrill, derogatory and sometimes profane fashion. Their messages appear to become marginalized by their methods or allegiances.Specific reference to both types of sites is made here as we believe that they tend to shy away from issues that involve negligence or even complicity with respect to the Islamic terror threat. In both cases, there seems to be a reluctance to present Islamic terrorism as only one single component to the growing variety of threats facing our great country.It is our collective view that both types of sites are perilously myopic if not disingenuous to truth. The whole truth.

As of December 2010, I am pleased to report that all of the investigators who initially established the core of our network remain active today. All continue to bring to this organization a wealth of professional experience in different real world areas of expertise, from tracking criminal and terrorist activities in cyberspace to excelling in various other investigative disciplines. We remain deeply committed to identifying threats to us as a country and to the freedom of West.

The black beast’s sole reason for existence is to destroy the last challenge before the bull’s ultimate victory over all living things in its path. As the bull contemplates his final charge, supernatural rage overtakes him and he begins the final run toward this man, representing the strength of the free citizenry, who have faced this raging evil borne out of hell, and empowered by the greed of those who will not allow this free man to survive. No compromise, no quarter, no peaceful co-existence. It is death to one culture or the other. As the bull engages the free man by lifting him onto his massive horns, the bull carries him to the trunk of a huge tree and pins the man to its side. Death is imminent and sure to be brutal. I suggest the bull’s supernatural breeding comes from the same pit of darkness and corruption as the bowels of Hell itself. Its father was found in the demonic realm of money and governing power and it has nourished itself on the blood of war waged in its name. Its mother died in delivery because nothing could survive the arrival of such a vile and baseless beast. Raised in an environment of hate and lust for power unmatched in history, this ultimate destroyer has been groomed for the final assault on the man of valor by its godless handlers. Why the eyes as the target of freedom’s man? Blinded by freedom’s retaliation, the bull, still very dangerous, is no longer able to see its victim or what the man has in store for his final assault on evil’s raging-out of control-behemoth.Symbolically, freedom’s man, ---us, would then be able to draw the sword and slay the beast once and for all. By waiting any longer, however; we are exposed to a mounting power and rage that would limit a confrontation to the enemy’s strength and timing, which would limit or eliminate our ability to take some effective measure of a physical attack on the beast. If you can get a picture of our situation through this symbolic illustration, then you just begin to understand the reality of world bankers, international corporate entities, domestic political figures, and all of their related networks and organizations mentioned so many times and how they have all stood a safe distance from the bull, yet fed him and groomed him for this moment. In reality, they wait even now, for the exact moment when we are the weakest. When we have given up, agreed to accept their terms, and while we cower, the beast moves in for the kill. All of the usual cast of villains is still present. Goldman Sachs, the U.N., the Federal Reserve, corrupted federal courts, Eric Holder’s idea of a Justice department. Andrew Traver’s BATFE, the Czars, Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers, ACORN--- how many roaches can occupy a building? They have all stood in that field, watching, waiting, lusting for this moment.Universities, to me, are among the vilest offenders. Presidents that curry political favor and money allow the most depraved faculty and curricula to flourish in the name of academic freedom. Professors with no courage, no truth, no dignity, no scruples, no values, and certainly no concern for their students, impregnate their campus with a dedication to educational tyranny worthy of 1930 Moscow or 1940 Berlin. They personally hand fed the bull.501-C(3) churches and apostate clerics also watered the bull. When it came down to scriptural truth versus butts or bucks in the pews, they chose the latter. Hundreds of thousands of sheep who came for comfort were lulled into submission by the alluring sound of the devil’s flute. Did we see right or wrong, spiritual strength and courage, the path of righteousness and leadership or possibly mentoring the next generation to stand in the face of evil? Nope, it wasn’t in the church bulletin. Scriptural encouragement only came for a single verse when the offering plates were passed.Guilty as charged, depart from me, I never knew you.

The idea of brotherhood has meant love and unquestioned support. It is seen in the military, fire teams, family, and in other mutually dependent areas of our society. Jesuits, Masons and the Vatican lead the others in a diabolical mission to serve the beast, turning on the brave, noble man we used to be. Fictional Allah and Islam with the Quran of death, beat believers into submission with Sharia law. We see the politically correct elite cramming Islam down our throats. It is now on the table in every state, as the next leap of evolutionary government and enlightened whore courts within America. They have all cheered on the monster like the illegal alien’s idea of the supreme Mexican bull fight, north of the used to be border.Perverts and vultures forging the minds of our children in the name of diversity continue unchallenged by a sodomite serving government and public school apparatus that cares only about indoctrination into the most vile of all atrocities. Add to this list doctors and hospitals, the CDC, FDA, the Pharmaceutical companies, Obama health care, courts that allow medical procedures that kill in the name of research and you are living in today’s America. They all helped keep the bull going on stimulants and Ritalin. No longer peace officers, law enforcers that Tase anyone close, work hand in glove (for groping your crotch) with the TSA and the latest class of government workers, to give you a cheap sex act in public, know no sense of constitutional duty, just come here little girl enticements as you travel to see grandma this Christmas. Grab their crotch and watch the piggy squeal.Tell me to grow food with a government license? Legalize the illegals? Chem-trail the skies, poison the land, feed us worthless food and GM fish? Spread death in the gulf and bring in more drugs. Let’s do all we can to demoralize our communities. Arrest and charge the good guys in Wisconsin incorporated counties so that no rule of law exists. When do your First Amendment rights to speak out against the emergence of a totalitarian form of American government conflict with your rights to maintain custody of your children? It depends on whether your diet includes a red or blue pill. If your collective blue pill diets continue unabated, then none of you will feel the need to speak out. Everything is fine, just go back to sleep. However, when one changes the color of their diet to red, their protective parental instincts surface in order to defend their beloved children from an oppressive government who views all children as their personal property. Sherrie Wilcox is the poster child who serves to portray the victimization of middle class American parents by big government. At first glance, Sherry Wilcox appears to be an unassuming mom who would frequent her child's soccer matches and accompany her sister to the local shopping mall. However, there is nothing average about Wilcox's ability to research a topic and draw cogent conclusions as I have found her to be a courageous and gifted researcher whose blog contains some amazing information and photographs of The Georgia Guidestones, pictures of thousands of FEMA coffins stored in her home state of Georgia as well as a stunning analysis of last year's deadly Ukrainian pneumonia with information that was largely unavailable in the main stream media. [See Sherrie Wilcox's blog.]Yet, for daring to exercise her First Amendment right to question the unconstitutional and illegal practices of the current federal government (e.g., mortgage fraud), Sherrie Wilcox received a visit from visit from Homeland Security, err….. The Georgia Child Protective Services (CPSS). In the assumed defense of her child, the CPS officials accused Wilcox of mental abuse and the neglect of her child.When I hear stories of abuse and neglect, I think of extreme physical discipline, starving children and the face of a child who is left alone to fend for themselves for long periods of time. Certainly, the investigation of Sherrie Wilcox's fitness as a mother would have begun with an examination of these variables wouldn't they? Well, not in this case. The Wilcox family ordeal began just prior to Halloween when Sherrie's child was questioned at school without being advised that she had the right to have an advocate in the room with her at the time questioning. Further, the interrogation questions had nothing to with Sherrie Wilcox's fitness as a mother as her child was asked the following questions:

(1) Does your mother take you camping?

(2) Where do you go camping?

(3) Who else goes camping with you?

(4) Does your mother store food?

(5) Does your mother have any guns?

(6) Has your mother remodeled your home?

(7) Does your mother have a safe room or a bomb shelter?

(8) Has your mother talked to you about the end of the world?

Being a former nationally certified mental health counselor who is intimately familiar with report requirements regarding child neglect and abuse, I fail to see the relevance of any of these questions regarding Sherrie Wilcox's fitness as a parent and why any agency charged with protecting child welfare would be concerned about camping and storing food. These questions defy all legal precedent and common sense.Upon returning home, the highly upset Wilcox child informed Sherrie about the intimidating interview and the unwarranted and intrusive nature of the questions that Georgia CPS officials asked the child at school. Wilcox promptly called CPS to inquire as to the motive behind subjecting her child to this extreme form of intimidation and mental abuse. The CPS official promptly informed her that they would be conducting an interview with her at her home in the morning. Sherrie Wilcox wisely arranged to have the ordeal videotaped by her sister and invited neighbors to witness this unique form of governmental intrusion of her parental rights.

After arriving at the Wilcox home, Georgia CPS officials proceeded to ask Wilcox the following questions and levied the following accusations:

1. Does she have solar panels on her house?

2. How and where do the Wilcox's go camping?

3. Does she store food? (Note: Sherrie Wilcox is a volunteer Red Cross nurse and her supplies are in accordance with FEMA guidelines).

4. Amazingly, CPS wanted to know if her house had an alternative heating source.

5. They also wanted to know if she had ever talked about the end of the world. (When the time is right, I hope Sherrie discusses the end of the American Republic with her child).

6. CPS accused Sherrie Wilcox of being in a top secret (unspecified) agency whose purpose is to overthrow the United States Government.

7. She was accused of blogging 20 hours per day and neglecting her child.

8. Finally, CPS wanted to know if she had committed the heinous parental act of renovating her house.

In the weeks and months ahead, I will be writing about the most endangered species on the planet; the American citizen and the threats facing our kind.Americans are being attacked on several fronts as our fellow citizens private communications are being spied upon at every turn. TSA agents are committing egregious sexual assault crimes upon the traveling public that would land any of us in prison for five years with a felony conviction for second degree sexual assault.The inevitable resurgence of The Food Safety Act will lay the groundwork for an agricultural dictatorship as well as forcing unsafe GMO food products down our throats without the consent of the governed. In America, a man's home is no longer his castle as the Pentagon is actively forcing thousands of American people off of their private properties, often resulting in bankruptcy, without so much as paying a dime in constitutionally mandated eminent domain compensation in the furtherance of their missions.Much of America's fresh water supplies (e.g., Alaskan melting glacier waters) are being shipped to India and China without the requisite compensation being paid to American towns and cities. White papers from the upcoming Cancun Climate Change Conference call for the forced relocation of residents from areas deemed to be climate sensitive. Do any of you fellow American frogs feel the temperature being dialed up? Arizona has enacted legislation to compel mandatory vaccinations, or face (FEMA Camp like) quarantine in the event of a declared health emergency. NORTHCOM troops continue training for domestic suppression of civil unrest and are becoming more skillful in the removal of large segments of Americans from their homes.Meanwhile, average citizens, like Sherrie Wilcox, are finding stockpiles of FEMA coffins across the country and for her trouble; the expression of her First Amendment rights coupled with her ability to continue in the role of a custodial parent, are being threatened. The FEMA camps are gearing up and are showing signs of being fully staffed and operational. For what purpose would they becoming operational? While we still have largely unfettered access to internet, perhaps America should be googling REX 84 and the Civilian Inmate Labor Program. It is difficult even for the blue pill crowd to deny the existence of holocaust centers within the United States when their existence is admitted to and contained within government documents. The government Fusion Centers continues to merge all segments of law enforcement into the largest data base collection in recorded history. They will serve as the command and control of the New World Order. Meanwhile, the American government is actively profiling average citizens (e.g., The MIAC Report) for suspicion of being domestic terrorists because of their support for Congressman Ron Paul, being a member of the Libertarian and Constitutional Parties, desiring to end the unconstitutional and criminal dominance of the Federal Reserve, supporting the Second Amendment, being a supporter of the United States Constitution, being a Christian and being a returning veteran.

Through criminal enterprise schemes such as the TARPS and the derivatives we have had our money and our children's economic future stolen from under our noses. Wall Street, the Federal Reserve and the United States have come to be viewed as the world's largest criminal syndicate in the history of mankind.Gulf Coast residents are experiencing deadly health effects which crossed the pandemic threshold months ago. Ahead of this week's European Council summit, Handelsblatt reports that Germany is not satisfied with the treaty change currently proposed and will aim for a stricter clause. A government spokesperson is quoted saying: From our perspective, a formulation which makes the connection between financial aid and the requirements for budget consolidation much clearer is desirable.Germany will also aim to state in the changes that the aid can only be used as ultima ratio in order to prevent small problems in a single country activating the mechanism.Meanwhile, the Eurobonds proposal has revealed open divisions within the German government, as Chancellor Angela Merkel appears to have contradicted comments made by Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble suggesting that Germany could accept Eurobonds and push for a political union in Europe if certain strict conditions were met. Merkel's spokesman Steffen Seibert is quoted in the Irish Times saying: The chancellor is convinced that what's necessary now is to act to defend a stable euro. Thoughts about what will be or won't be in 20 years are not on the agenda.Meanwhile, Reuters reports that the ECB is considering requesting an increase in its capital from eurozone member states. The article quotes a source saying, The issue is that the ECB is worried about potential losses from its bond buying. The ECB declined to comment. El País reports that Spanish banks are exposed by one third of Portuguese banks - making a total of €75bn.

Barroso: Up to member states to clarify WikiLeaks revelations

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS – European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso has said it is not the task of his institution to explain revelations contained in US diplomatic cables released by WikiLeaks, insisting that EU member states are better positioned for the role. MEPs in Strasbourg on Tuesday (14 December) repeatedly asked Mr Barroso to outline his position on the diplomatic cables and the legal action currently being taken against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange who was granted bail on the same day, but the Portuguese politician fended off questions saying the issue was outside the commission's domain.All the leaks have really related to member states, said Mr Barroso. It's up to them to carry out clarifications.Several senior EU officials have been mentioned in the classified cables, providing an interesting insight into their private views, working methods and how they are seen by Washington.One cable describes EU energy commissioner Gunther Oettinger as a lame duck politician, sent to Brussels by German Chancellor Angela Merkel simply to get rid of him.Another shows co-operation between EU climate commissioner Connie Hedegaard and the US in order to garner global support for the controversial Copenhagen climate accord brokered in December 2009.European Council President Herman Van Rompuy is said to have expressed his relief at not attending the fateful meeting in Denmark. Had I been there, my presidency would have been over before it began, he is reported to have told the US ambassador to Belgium.

In another released conversation, former external relations commissioner Chris Patten explained why the EU will never be a real power. A cable from Russia says Prime Minister Putin saw Mr Barroso as a glorified international civil servant not worthy to be in the Czar's [presence].Despite the clear references to Brussels, Mr Barroso insisted it is not a commission issue: It's something that happened in the US ... and we have to be clear what are our competences.EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton took a similar line during a press conference on Monday. Asked if she or EU foreign ministers had discussed WikiLeaks or if she feared revelations about her self, she said No we didn't and I don't care, AFP reported.

Mr Barroso was equally tight-lipped on the current legal battle surrounding WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Obviously there is a presumption of innocence until the courts find otherwise, he told MEPs.Mr Assange, who is fighting extradition to Sweden in a sex-crimes investigation, was granted bail by a British court on Tuesday, with the judge insisting he must abide by strict bail conditions.
The 39-year-old Australian has been held in a London prison for a week after surrendering to Scotland Yard for questioning after Sweden issued an arrest warrant.
Two women in Sweden have accused him of sexual misconduct in separate encounters, but Mr Assange denies the accusations, saying the incidents relate to consensual but unprotected sex.Some Assange supporters suspect the extradition request has been motivated by WikiLeaks' decision last month to begin publishing its store of 250,000 secret US diplomatic cables, something Swedish officials strongly deny.Italian Liberal MEP Sonia Alfano was among those raising doubts on Tuesday. The only thing he did was to show certain murky areas that important powers are not comfortable with, she said.

At the same time, Mr Barroso did concede that a similar release of sensitive documents could happen in the EU. What happened in the US we can't help thinking could happen in any system, he said. Its true that in the US system hundreds of thousands of people seem to have access to information, he added.A self-funded group of former EU officials, journalists and and NGO workers based in Belgium has recently set up an EU version of WikiLeaks to facilitate the spread of EU documents to civil society.The secure system currently used by EU diplomats to exchange information, Coreu, has better safeguards than the US however, one EU diplomatic source said.

Private guards outnumber policemen in seven EU countries

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Private-sector security guards outnumber policemen in seven mostly post-Communist EU countries according to the latest figures from the CoESS, the Brussels-based private security lobby. Hungary tops the list with 104.97 private guards per 10,000 inhabitants compared to 39.94 police officers. The pro-private ratio is the second heaviest in Romania (49.84 private guards versus 25.62 policemen), followed by Ireland, Poland, Finland, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Slovenia.Italy, Spain, Malta, Denmark, Belgium and Lithuania have the lowest levels of private policing.The most populous EU countries tend to have the largest private security armies overall, with 170,000 private guards in Germany, 165,000 in Poland, 160,000 in France and 120,000 in the UK. Romania (107,000) and Hungary (105,121) give the big countries a run for their money. But Turkey has the biggest private security corps in Europe with 257,192 personnel.It is mostly the new EU member states that have a high private security force ratio, the study, entitled Third White Paper, says. This trend confirms a continued and sustained choice for new economic aims, which are closer to the free market than the old Europe, with the exception of Luxembourg and Ireland.The sector currently employs 1,630,524 people in Europe, up by 176,888 compared to 2009, and is dominated by men. In one trend: Companies, individuals and a growing number of public authorities are asking the private security industry for personal protection [bodyguards].CoESS is keen for the EU to roll out universally-recognised vocational qualifications for private guards to help them move jobs from country to country. But on the other hand, in line with intensive lobbying by CoESS, the sector was kept out the EU's Services Directive, which obliges old EU countries to let in workers from newcomers.

Zooming in on Belgian legislation, bodyguards and guards accompanying consignments of valuables are allowed to carry guns. But most guards who protect buildings such as cinemas or shopping malls and night watchmen may not. Belgian law also forbids the vast majority of guards from using force. They can perform citizens' arrest using handcuffs in special cases, however.EU buildings in Brussels are currently protected by the UK-based G4S company, which famously failed to stop an armed robbery inside the European Parliament in 2009.Meanwhile, the EU's new diplomatic corps, the European External Action Service (EEAS), is drawing up new guidelines on how to protect its 136 foreign delegations.An EU official told this website that Brussels tends to borrow soldiers from member states which already have heavily-guarded embassies in given hotspots, such as the UK in Iraq and France in Chad.It is envisaged that there will be public sector soldiers providing security for some delegations. In some cases it will be too politically sensitive to have physical security provided exclusively by private companies. Slovak politician calls for plan B to abandon euro

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Slovakia, which joined the eurozone last year, should have a 'plan B' to return to its national currency, the country's parliamentary speaker, Richard Sulik, has said, amid frustration over the way the eurozone is handling the debt crisis.The time is ripe for Slovakia to stop blindly trust in what eurozone leaders say and prepare a plan B. This is the re-introduction of the Slovak koruna, Mr Sulik said in an opinion piece published in the bussiness daily Hospodarske noviny on Sunday (12 December).He added: As we are a country too small to significantly influence EU action, we must at least protect values created by the people living in Slovakia.Mr Sulik's views reflect a wider discontent with decisions that the eurozone has made since the Greek crisis erupted.The Slovak centre-right government has repeatedly called for private investors to feel the pain of any rescue operation under the eurozone umbrella. It considers the Greek bail-out a mistake that made European governments a hostage to financial markets.The parliamentary speaker said it is irresponsible for states to risk financial problems at home by taking on the liabilities of their debt-ridden colleagues under the European Financial Stability Facility, a temporary bail-out tool agreed in May and currently providing aid to Ireland.

He also critised the European central bank for its policy of purchasing EU states' bonds.Slovak Prime Minister Iveta Radicova and the country's finance minister Ivan Miklos were quick to react to Mr Sulik, who also leads a junior coalition party, The Freedom and Solidarity, and is known for co-designing the flat tax in Slovakia.In the long run, the euro's advantages for the Slovak economy outweight its disadvantages, a spokesperson for Ms Radicova is cited as saying by the daily SME (14 December): That is why we prefer fact-based solutions to extreme scenarios.According to the finance minister: One always needs to be ready for all options, but currently all must be done to strengthen the euro. The costs and consequences of a re-introduction of the koruna would be enormous, he indicated.

Some analysts have described Mr Sulik's comments as dangerous, saying they could influence investors who hold Slovak government bonds or are considering investing in the country.Bratislava needs to re-finance some €8 billion of its own debt next year and politicians who create uncertainty are playing with fire, the chief analyst of Volksbank Slovensko, Vladimir Vano, said.
