Illinois Congressman: I Don’t Worry About The Constitution Steve Watson

A Democratic Congressman from Illinois told his constituents that he does not worry about the constitution when it comes to the health care bill signed into law last week by the president, before misquoting from the Declaration of Independence and claiming he had read the 2700 page legislation three times.Representative Phil Hare made the comments at a meeting yesterday with his constituents in Quincy that was captured on camera.As Hare was questioned over the constitutionality of forcing 30 million Americans to buy insurance from private companies, one member of the public asked where in the Constitution it says the government can do that.I don’t worry about the Constitution on this to be honest, Hare replied.I care more about the people that are dying every day that don’t have health insurance,Hare said.It’s people’s lives. It’s people’s children. It’s when you take your child to the hospital and you think it’s really bad and your heart is thumping, thumping, thumping while you’re waiting for the doctor to tell you what it is and then the doctor comes out and says it’s going to be ok, except you don’t have insurance and you’re stuck with a $10 or $15,000 bill…You care more about that than the U.S. Constitution, which you swore to uphold? one of the constituents asked.

I believe it says we have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, Hare fired back, before someone else in the room corrected the Congressman, noting that that line is found in the Declaration of Independence.Doesn’t matter to me, Hare said. Either one.Hare then asked what the question was again, to which the constituent repeated Where in the Constitution does it give you the authority…? I don’t know.Hare angrily interrupted.The Congressman also claimed that he had read the health care bill three times in the time since it was made public, a total of 8100 pages. When the constituents challenged the possibility of such a feat, Hare stormed out and left in a waiting vehicle, refusing to say how long it had taken to read the bill three times.Given the fact that fourteen states have initiated lawsuits to block the enactment of the bill, and leading constitutional scholars have noted that the bill contravenes the commerce clause, it is perhaps no wonder that Hare does not know how the bill can be squared with the Constitution.

Will Feds Use Letter Sent by Sovereign Citizen Group to Stage False Flag?

Following sensational news stories claiming the Guardians of the free Republics threatened state governors around the country in letters demanding they leave office or be removed, the FBI has today warned police around the country that the letters could provoke violence,according to the Associated Press.Security at the capitol in Nevada was increased after Gov. Jim Gibbons received a letter from the Guardians of the free Republics.Investigators do not consider the letters threatening or see threats of violence in the Guardians of the free Republics message. However, according to the Associated Press, the FBI believes the organization’s call for removal of top state officials in its Restore America Plan may lead others to act out violently.While there does not appear to be a credible or immediate threat of violence attached to the letters, we’re working with state and local authorities to continue to assess the matter,said FBI Special Agent Joseph Dickey of Las Vegas. The letters are from a sovereign citizen extremist group and that those groups reject all forms of government authority,said Dickey. He said those groups don’t believe they have to pay taxes or obey federal, state or local laws.As of Wednesday, more than 30 governors had received letters saying if they don’t leave office within three days they will be removed, according to an internal intelligence note by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security,the Associated Press reports.

An individual identifying himself as D. Merlin Campbell contacted the Nevada Appeal earlier in the week and denied that the Restore America Plan intends to use violence to accomplish its objectives. According to Mr. Campbell, the letter received by the governor of Nevada and other state officials around the county is actually a Declaration from a lawful Grand Jury of 26 people in each state which is endeavoring to re-establish the true Republic in a peaceful and lawful manner. It does not represent a threat from an extremist (as is commonly associated with terrorist in the media today) group but instead it is a real, legally binding document which is presented by a Grand Jury of regular people which declares that the governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, controller and treasurer all must have lawful oaths of office in order operate in their respective positions. The bonds which they all operate under have been effectively seized and noticed to be null and void. The package includes the following; Declaration, Warrants, Orders to the Governors, General orders to the military. It is not a threat, it is a truth that must be complied with or there will be consequences, not of violence, but legal recourse.A comment posted on the Appeal’s website describes the Guardians of the free Republics plan as a bold achievable strategy for behind-the-scenes peaceful reconstruction of the de jure institutions of government without controversy, violence or civil war.Is it possible the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security will exploit the Restore America Plan in order to stage a false flag event that will be subsequently blamed on the patriot movement?

It is now almost certain the FBI set-up the Hutaree group in Michigan by inserting agents provocateurs who encouraged violence. The corporate media then orchestrated a hysterical campaign designed to insinuate that the Tea Party movement shares the Hutaree’s anti-government philosophy. The sensationalized raid in Michigan followed a week of corporate media propaganda claiming racist Tea Party activists had assaulted Democrats in Washington as they prepared to vote for the Obamacare bill in Congress.As Infowars.com and others have demonstrated, the accusations had absolutely no basis in fact.The effort was part of a larger campaign designed to portray the patriot movement as extremist and potentially violent. For months now, CNN, MSNBC, and the corporate media at large – taking their talking points from the SPLC and the ADL — have argued that opposition to Obama and the unconstitutional expansion of the federal government represents the ascension of a dangerous white supremacist and militia movement in the United States.The Department of Homeland Security under the leadership of both Bush and Obama set the stage for the current hysterical campaign with its now notorious report on rightwing extremism. Missouri and Virginia contributed to the effort in separate reports characterizing Ron Paul supporters and other patriots as potentially dangerous domestic terrorists.In addition, it appears the government plans to use anarchists to disrupt Tea Party demonstrations on April 15. A red alert, however, should be issued and members of the patriot movement need to be on the outlook for suspicious activity within their ranks.It is certain, however, that the government is looking for the right situation in order to crack down on the patriot movement. The establishment is infamous for staging fake terror and criminal events as a pretext to take drastic action against those who oppose their plans.Finally, Obama publicly named two of his more prominent enemies on CBS today. This is highly unusual. Presidents never mention their foes by name as this has a tendency to lend credence to them. Not even Nixon named his enemies in public. Obama’s comments may mean nothing. On the other hand, he may have issued a warning to those who oppose him. It is interesting to note he mentioned Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, who are in essence shills for the establishment. The breach of etiquette, however, should be taken as a warning to those Obama does not name but are generally associated with the patriot movement and often linked to Beck and Limbaugh, however erroneously, by the corporate media.

Obama to Crush Economy with Massive CO2 Taxes as Early as Next Week

Abandoning all loyalty to the democratic processes this nation holds dear, President Obama has made the decision that getting energy tax legislation through Congress with the approval of the American people is just too much of a pain to bother with. Instead he will have the EPA declare as early as next week that CO2 is a dangerous global warming gas and will start regulating its emissions immediately.Obama’s promise to open up vast stretches of ocean on the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico to energy exploration is simply a ruse to soften up the public for soon to be announced draconian regulations.Similar to how Obama used the $50 million dollar study on healthcare companies competing across state lines to sell ObamaCare as a bipartisan bill, his recent decree allowing energy companies to explore (not drill, not produce energy from … just explore) new stretches of ocean for oil is also meant to be a trivial, yet impressive enough sounding carrot for conservatives right before he stuffs his Marxist trash down their throats.House Minority Leader John Boehner responded to Obama by saying At the same time the White House makes today’s announcement, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is plotting a new massive job-killer that the American people can’t afford.

Every American who doesn’t live in a technology adverse commune in California will now pay even more of their hard earned cash to the federal government for absolutely no good reason. Put simply, it means $8 for a gallon of gas and 2-3 times higher electricity bills. It also means the loss of millions more sorely needed jobs as businesses are hit with higher operating costs and the transfer of whatever remains of our manufacturing sector to China where energy is cheaper and they aren’t so concerned about CO2.In the first week alone, American businesses estimated that ObamaCare will cost them $14 billion. By most estimates this latest Obama nightmare will be far more expensive and may literally destroy the economy in less than 20 years.All because of climate science that has been clearly exposed as inaccurate and untrustworthy. Obama may or may not be a communist plant sent to destroy America, but he sure is acting like one.

The Dangers of Nuclear War: U.S.-Russian Nuke Deal no Cure for Real Threat

BEIJING, April 2 — After nearly a year’s negotiations, the U.S. and Russian governments finally reached an agreement on further reduction and limitation of nuclear weapon arms. The agreement will be signed on April 8, limiting the total number of warheads to less than 1,550. Overall, it is good for world peace and stability as well as the prevention of nuclear proliferation, but we shouldn’t be over-optimistic about the treaty.The motivations behind the treaty are clear. Russia is opposed to the U.S. missile defense system and its deployment in Eastern Europe. The U.S. continues to expand the scope of the missile defense system, which constitutes a real threat to Russia in Eastern Europe.With 95 percent of the world’s total nuclear warheads, the U.S. and Russia are the world’s two largest nuclear powers. Russia has more than 14,000 missiles and the U.S. has more than 9,000. This remains one of the few areas where the former U.S.’s national strength is as great as ever, so the U.S. is active in working toward compromise in this field.

Yet the treaty has its problems. In the existing agreements, the number of nuclear warheads was limited to between 1,500 and 2,200. This new agreement itself has no new breakthroughs and has not met the expectations of the international community. Half a year ago, the limit of 1,500 was proposed, but in the end, it became 1,550, no big breakthrough at all.The most fundamental problem is that the provisions do not eliminate nuclear weapons but instead change their level of readiness. Nuclear weapons have three states of readiness: fully equipped and ready to be fired, readied but with the head and body separated, and finally, in storage conditions with the warhead removed.This treaty reduces the number of fully equipped nuclear weapons to less than 1,550, but the excess missiles will not be destroyed, only moved to a different state of readiness. They could be activated and re-weaponized in only a short span of time.Despite the agreement, the U.S. also continues to work on developing new nuclear weapons itself. While some are being moved from the frontlines, lighter, more accurate weapons are being developed, as well as so-called bunker-busters designed to penetrate deeply into the Earth.The U.S.-Russian agreement only limits bilateral development, but the real concern is the spread of nuclear weapons worldwide. The U.S. is planning to hold a nuclear safety summit on April 13 where the core issue is the nuclear non-proliferation.Once nuclear technology spreads, and especially if terrorist organizations get their hands on nuclear materials, the consequences are unpredictable, and it is in every country’s interests to prevent this.

U.S. standards on nuclear proliferation are also inconsistent. It gives tacit approval to Israel’s nuclear weapons program, and makes no effort to discourage Japan from stockpiling raw materials that could, in theory, produce thousands of nuclear weapons.In contrast, the U.S. has been particularly sensitive to Iran and North Korea. Iran has not tested nuclear weapons, but claims to developing civilian nuclear facilities. However, the U.S. has been strongly working for sanctions against it as a consequence and even considering military actions.Out of political considerations, the U.S. has adopted two completely different standards on the use of nuclear technology by various nations.To make a convincing case for non-proliferation, the U.S. should apply the same standards to every country.

David Cameron promises to create neighbourhood army-David Cameron: People are skeptical that change can happen-David Cameron has said that a Conservative government would train a 5,000-strong neighbourhood army to set up community groups.

The Tory leader said in a speech this offered a positive alternative to Labour's big government approach. But the BBC has learned it will be paid for with money from an existing scheme which supports voluntary organisations. Meanwhile, Labour is promising communities more powers to take over the running of local services. The parties are attempting to take control of the localist agenda ahead of the general election, which is likely to be held on 6 May.

The Conservatives are promising to fund the training of 5,000 full-time, professional community organisers over the course of the next Parliament.They say this is based on a movement in the United States which has trained generations of community organisers, including President Obama. BBC political correspondent Carole Walker said the funding would come from Futurebuilders, a government programme which provides grants and loans to charities and other voluntary bodies to help them bid for and deliver public service contracts.Mr Cameron has pointed out that Futurebuilders has been criticised, in the past, for poor delivery.But a report by Sheffield Hallam University published on Wednesday concluded the scheme had provided organisations with access to finance they would not otherwise have got and, in the majority of cases, they had delivered services more cost-effectively.

Mr Cameron said: In Labour's world, for every problem there's a government solution, for every issue an initiative.This is not what Beveridge dreamed of when he created the welfare state.

It is about a Health emergency….isn’t that ok?

In the history of our country, have we ever had such a massive, national health emergency that we needed a militia/military reserve ready to pepper the country and control things? No!!! Katrina…..there was the blue cross, FEMA, the National Guard, local police, charities, congress and other leadership responding to this disaster. Mayor Ray Nagin and FEMA got much criticism about their organization and response time, but that seems to be typical with any disaster, be it tornado, attack or hurricane. Organization and pace can always improve. New Orleans needed a ton of things, not, a military force trumping and smothering the naturally, already in force health and enforcement channels.The last flu season……I followed the H1N1 Swine flu drama from beginning to end. I was amazed as to how a normal flu season, even milder at times than most other flu seasons, (according to CDCs own tracking data on their web site) was described as practically a nuclear bomb on America’s people and children. There was ridiculous talk of forced inoculations, yet real science pointing out (I talked with a few of the research scientists on my show) the danger and lack of real study with the vaccines. Many later and serious health problems were linked to some of the dirty ingredients in the vaccine. This was at the very least a horribly manipulated event.

With the messiah now with a health militia, will the next flu season be an even larger crises causing FORCED vaccinations for the good of the community, family and country? Wouldn’t it be special, a Stepford wives, ACORN type Obamaton showing up at your door with a forced injection or else. What a wonderful opportunity to manipulate a flue season for a premiere, national emergency, thus declaring Marshal law……oh yeah, being directed by Obama’s civilian militia.The purpose in the Health care bill is listed as routine public health and emergency response missions.As usual, the description is vague and blurry enough that one wonders just what routine public health issues are. Remember Obama’s passion for abortion. Some of his czars are abortion heroes. John Holdren (Science Czar) even wrote about it being appropriate having forced abortions and aborting a child up to age 2. How do you do that since they have been alive for 2 years? Do you push them in front of a train or mercifully inject them with poison? Could this President some day declare a national population growth emergency and certain/controlled criteria for having children, thus forcing abortions with some or worse? He already has a sea of radical, abortion and control loving Stepford wives as his czars! I pray and hope that something this absurd will never happen in America but with Obama’s actions and associations thus far…..watch very closely.Another national emergency, needing Obama’s ‘health’ militia could be his troops coming to get our guns if we didn’t turn them in one day. Of course, this again would be required of the people due to a contrived crises such as extreme growth of crime, terrorism or hiding behind a treaty of gun control with the UN, thus having to enforce it.

Some of you think I’m a loon and a tin helmet hussy…..but consider this. Hitler did the very same thing. First he got elected in through seduction, lies and false promises. The Nazis had blown up the German Government headquarters already to blame the communists so they could have the desperate people give up their guns when they demanded them. Hitler created a huge fan base and distracted public. Once Hitler’s Enabling act was voted in, he quickly got total control over health care and the records. Mentally ill and physically challenged kids and adults disappeared to job and skill training camps where they were murdered. Hitler trashed and took out all religious symbols from the schools and work places, instituting Hitler’s photos everywhere and a required national greeting Heil Hitler (Hail my leader). It was the instituted control of a nation and worship of Hitler. Obama also wants our worship and now he has a civilian military………….for crises of course.We must hold our Government accountable and not allow ourselves to be taken over. We can’t support violence in anyway but we must not be seduced when dictator type behavior is everywhere. Focus behind the conservative, freedom loving candidate in your city and state! Do more than talk over coffee. You need to organize, call, fax, march if need be and campaign. We know that there will be voter fraud and manipulation like never before in November. All conservatives and concerned citizens MUST vote this time. Don’t fall into the self talk of my vote won’t count anyway.If you don’t vote with your attitude and all, the dead person and illegal alien down the street will. Others will vote 20 times. If we ALL vote we will win and correct this nightmare.

The way for us to secure our country is not to forget what has happened to the American people already with this unconstitutional Health care bill, the destructive, Cap and Trade bill being backed by fraudulent science, and the push for amnesty for illegal aliens and their coveted votes. It is not imagined. It is not extreme right wing talk. It is real. We have voted in a tyrannical, socialist control freak who will continue to take control if we let him. We must not play into Obama’s hands. No violence…..obey the law and no threatening except to impeach, repeal, sue, march and vote him and this liberal congress out of office as soon as possible. 100 million Americans question or find fault with the official 9/11 story

The failure to rebuild the World Trade Center site in Manhattan has received endless attention. But public anger about this failed reconstruction should not been seen so negatively. After all, mental reconstruction has also still not been successful and is surely more needed, with too many Americans still accepting the official government story about 9/11. This, despite a huge amount of compelling evidence that elements of the US government played some role, despite a very large, active 9/11 truth movement, and despite an impressive number of highly credible people demanding a new investigation as documented at patriotsquestion911.com. In the recent Angus Reid Public Opinion survey of a representative national sample of American adults, 62 per cent of respondents disagree with the view that the Sept. 11 incident was a big fabrication as a pretext for the campaign against terrorism and a prelude for staging an invasion against Afghanistan.Far more Republicans disagree at 80 percent, compared to 66 percent of Independents and 55 percent of Democrats. Consistent with this is that two-thirds of Americans (67 percent) agree with the government commission that investigated the events of Sept. 11, 2001, which concluded that an attack was carried out by 19 hijackers who were members of the al-Qaeda terrorist organization, led by Osama bin Laden. Though 12 per cent of respondents reject the commission’s findings, one-in-five Americans (21 percent) are undecided. In particular, 35 percent of Independents and 34 percent of Democrats do not accept the official version, compared to just 20 percent of Republicans.

These figures translate to about 100 million Americans that question or find fault with the official 9/11 story, far from a trivial number and far too many to dismiss as conspiracy nuts and part of the lunatic fringe. This is the important message that merits public appreciation. That the mainstream media refuses to acknowledge this kind of public sentiment reflects on their lack of courage to dig deep into the role of the government and face the truth. This behavior does nothing to improve American democracy and trust in government. True patriots must acknowledge that government through the terrible acts of some individuals can carry out hideous acts; there is a bipartisan history of this. Truth is the best way to stop such behavior.
Clearly, Republicans have blocked out the painful possibility that the Bush-Cheney administration played a role in 9/11. This may also explain why the large tea party movement that results from strong disillusionment with government does not embrace the 9/11 truth movement. Here is my perspective: If far more Americans rejected or questioned the official government story and demanded a new investigation, we would get the mental reconstruction sorely needed to ensure that the government never again uses a false flag operation to advance a policy (wars in Iraq and Afghanistan) that would not otherwise receive public support, especially one that kills thousands of Americans, both civilians and soldiers. That the reconstruction at ground zero in Manhattan has still not succeeded symbolizes that the wounds of 9/11 are not healed, which means that we still have some chance of demanding and discovering the full truth, regardless of how painful it is. The cost of a first-rate new investigation might be $50 million, far less than the billions of dollars to reconstruct the Manhattan site.In the end, truth is more important than new buildings. Worse than a hole in the ground is a hole in our national soul. We need Congress to authorize and fund a new 9/11 investigation. The highly fragmented 9/11 truth movement must unite behind a political strategy to make this happen. The only reason to fear a new investigation is the likely unsettling finding that, indeed, the US government was a lot more than incompetent and negligent.

Obama Approval Drops 5 Percent to New Low Since Pro-Abortion Health Care Law

The CBS poll has him at a new low of 44 percent and a new Rasmussen poll has Obama down to a 46 percent approval rating.Those numbers could explain why Obama is getting testy with reporters who are asking him about the low polling numbers for his approval and that of the pro-abortion health care program.The latest CBS News Poll, conducted between March 29 and April 1, found Americans unhappier than ever with Obama and health care.While 44 percent of Americans approve of Obama's performance, 41 percent disapprove -- down five percent since he signed the bill and down 24 percent since his high last April.When it comes to health care, just 34 percent of Americans approve compared with 55 percent who do not.The Rasmussen Reports daily presidential tracking poll released today shows 46% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of Obama's performance while 53 percent disapprove. That includes 31 percent of voters who strongly approve of Obama's performance while 41 percent strongly disapprove.

Rasmussen indicates the numbers come despite positive news coverage from the mainstream media of Obama and the pro-abortion health care bill.Over the past week, 55.8% of media coverage concerning the President has been positive, the polling firm noted. In general, the President has receive more favorable coverage since passage of the health care bill than he did earlier in the month.Yesterday, Obama hit back against opposition to the health care bill.Every day since I signed reform into law, there’s another poll or headline that says Nation still divided on health reform. No great surge in public support,Obama said. Well, yeah. It happened last week. It’s only been a week.He also said opponents of the bill are wrong to suggest a coming disaster.So after I signed the bill, I looked around. I looked up at the sky to see if asteroids were coming. I looked down at the ground to see if any cracks had opened up in the ground,Obama said. It turned out to be a pretty nice day. Birds were still chirping. Folks were strolling down the street. Nobody had lost their doctor, nobody had pulled the plug on granny, nobody was being dragged away to be forced into some government plan.Conservative writer Ed Morrissey talked the low approval numbers in a new post at the popular Hot Air blog.CBS hasn't released the raw data yet on the poll. They want to wait until tonight’s news broadcast to unveil some of the other results from the poll. That can't be good news for the White House, since the big hit on the approval rating will very obviously be their lead on the story,he explained.We do know, however, that this poll surveyed the general adult population, not registered or likely voters, a sample that should have been more sympathetic to Obama.He hit a new low on health care, with only 34% approving of his job performance. Small wonder Obama has taken to campaigning again for health care; he’s getting buried by it. ABC, CBS Evening News Continue To Hemorrhage Viewers

CNN isn't the only news network struggling to bring in viewers. Evening news broadcasts at major networks are suffering, too.According to Bill Carter at the New York Times, ABC's World News with Diane Sawyer had its worst quarter since 1987. CBS' Evening News with Katie Couric hit a new low starting in January.But Brian Williams' Nightly News at NBC got a boost with its best first quarter in four years (thanks, Olympics).Over all, Q1 numbers were:NBC (GE): 9.92 million viewers
ABC (DIS): 8.27 million,CBS (CBS): 6.45 million.The number of viewers still watching the three shows together — more than 24 million in the first quarter — continue to dwarf any news program on cable,Carter notes.But evening news casts continue to lose their viewers to cable networks and Internet news coverage. In an effort to make up the difference in dipping ad revenue, broadcasts have been cutting hundreds of newsroom staffers. ABC News is also looking at new revenue streams like paywalls for their websites and adding video onto ad-supported sites like Hulu.

(IsraelNN.com) Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad Saturday night copied a 2,000-year-old Jewish prayer and told Christians in Bethlehem, Next year, Inshallah (G-d willing), we will celebrate in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in east Jerusalem, the capital of the Palestinian state…according to 1967 borders, a state whose capital shall be Jerusalem.The city is the home of the two Jewish Holy Temples, the second of which was destroyed nearly 2,000 years ago. Jews have been praying ever since for the return of Jerusalem to Jews. Part of the city came under Israeli sovereignty with the re-establishment of the modern State of Israel in 1948. The remainder of the city, including the site of the Temple Mount, was restored to Israel in the 1967 Six-Day War.However, the Arab Muslim world has increasingly denied any Jewish connection with the city. Fayyad's assertion that Jerusalem is the eternal home of Arabs is one of several twists of history by the Muslim world, which also claims that Ishmael and not Yitzchak (Isaac) was bound by Abraham as a sacrifice to the Almighty, whose command was considered a test of Abraham’s faith.

Fayyad’s speech was the latest of several bold statements. Several months ago, he completely disengaged from the American Roadmap plan and declared that the PA will declare itself an independent country by 2011.He has been drumming up international support for a possible United Nations resolution to recognize the PA as a country, a unilateral initiative that attempts to force a de facto situation that would test Israeli sovereignty over the united city of Jerusalem.Fayyad, who was hand-picked by the United States to lead PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ government, vowed that the dawn of liberty shall sprout from all of the Old City's alleys in Shechem, in Hebron and in all of the communities and refugee camps in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.His comments indicate that the PA will stand fast on its demand for the right of immigration of several million PA Arabs claiming ancestry in Israel.The PA’s threats for unilateral declaration as an independent state coincide with the Obama administration’s attempts to in effect present Israel with a final status agreement based on PA demands.

Israeli Arabs Like Matzoh

In the Passover Haggadah, which tells the story of the Jewish Exodus from Egypt, matzoh is described as the Bread of Affliction, because Jews had no time to allow the dough to rise properly for baking before fleeing their Egyptian taskmasters.In the Arab sector, however, – 20 percent of Israel's population -- Muslims and Christians are not obligated to observe Jewish law, and they are free to eat whatever bread they like. But apparently what they like to eat is matzoh, according to a report published over the weekend by the Associated Press.It quotes families in the northern Israeli Arab city of Umm el-Fahm who were carting away boxes of matzoh at a local supermarket, to be eaten at home with chocolate spread. The store owner, Tariq Ifin, had no doubt he would sell the more than four tons of matzoh he had stocked in anticipation of the holiday.You can't say Arabs and Jews are one people, but we share the same land, so why not share the same food? he told AP reporter Ben Hubbard.One of his customers backed him up, commenting,Don't the Jews eat our bread? Thousands Celebrated Heritage Status at Patriarchs' Cave

The Jewish community in the ancient city awarded certificates of gratitude to Knesset members who worked to include the ancient cave in the list, in spite of the political opposition to the move.MK Prof. Aryeh Eldad (National Union) said at the ceremony that when the Cave of Machpelah was not added to the list of heritage sites, the pressure on Jerusalem formed.Five years ago, not many people understood that Gush Katif is the security belt of Ashkelon and Be'er Sheva,he said, referring to the Expulsion from Gaza and the subsequent Arab rocket and mortar onslaught on southern Israel.Hevron is the security belt of Jerusalem,he added.Jerusalem is not like Tel Aviv and Hevron is not like Tel Aviv,MK Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) said. Tel Aviv is 101 years old, Jerusalem is 3,000 years old and Hevron is 4,000 years old. We are tied through our souls to this place and no foreign leader will tell us what to do in places that belong to our forefathers.
