An unusual spring storm in the Texas Panhandle Wednesday afternoon dumped two to four feet of hail near Dumas.Trucks were reported sliding off the road on Highway 287 as a result of the unexpected weather phenomenon. Snow plows were being used to clear the roads.Chief Meteorologist Pete Delkus said a tornado watch was in effect for the Panhandle region through 10 p.m. Thursday, and the storms were moving very slowly between Pampa and Dumas north of Amarillo and to the east of Dalhart.

The Royal Canadian Mint is preparing a digital alternative to coins and small banknotes - dubbed MintChip - which it calls the next step in the evolution of currency.Wednesday, the federal Crown corporation activated a website outlining its vision for MintChip - described as better than cash and so easy even a child can use it - and invited software developers to begin imagining ways it could be used.At its core, the MintChip allows users to load monetary value onto a secure chip and transfer it to a digital device or to someone else's chip as needed to pay for something. The mint says no personal data is required or exchanged when using the MintChip, one of the characteristics of making purchases with coins and bills instead of credit or debit cards.The mint is offering $50,000 in an old-fashioned currency - gold - to winners of a contest aimed at developing smartphone applications and other ways of demonstrating MintChip's benefits as a payment system.
The contest is a way for us to enlist software developers in creating proofsof-concept highlighting the potential advantages of such a technology,Christine Aquino, the mint's director of communications, said Thursday.The mint says on the MintChip website that it has developed prototypes and has five patents pending on innovative technology" underlying the cashless payment system. With the penny gone and the triumph of plastic over paper bills only months away, the research and development department of the Royal Canadian Mint has proposed going one step further: the death of hard currency altogether.Last week, the Mint announced the release of MintChip, a completely digital currency. Money, as we know it, is fine for today, but tomorrow is a different story,says an introductory MintChip video. MintChip is better than cash, since you can use it online.MintChip stores value in a physical chip, and transfers money between chips using heavily encrypted value messages.The system has no centralized database.They’re calling it anonymous … their intention is that it’s no more associated with who you are than [traditional] currency,said Jacqueline Chilton with Glenbrook Partners, a California-based payment consultant.
Of course, Ms. Chilton noted there is still the possibility for MintChip-specific apps to covertly record transactions. Infowars went on to expose these as false claims on Tuesday.When we spoke to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and its Director Mark Potok on Monday, the SPLC rightly confirmed that they had no knowledge of armed Neo-Nazi patrols in Sanford.But when asked about the seriousness of the New Black Panther Party’s very public, on-radio demand for a ‘blood on the streets’ race war and their Dead or Alive $10,000 bounty on the head of Trayvon Martin’s shooter George Zimmerman, and whether authorities should arrest their leader Malik Zulu Shabazz, as well as Michelle Williams and Chawn Kweli, the New Black Panther’s chief of staff in Tampa and a national spokesman, respectively - because their public declarations constituted hate speech… Potok told this writer:

Certainly the New Black Panther Party should be categorized as a hate group, according to the SPLC’s previous categorization used to demonize numerous domestic patriot and sovereign citizen groups. In fact the SPLC has compiled a list of hundreds of Natiivist US hate groups . Surprisingly, the New Black Panther Party does not exist on their extensive list which comprises mostly of Minutemen citizen militia organizations situated along America’s borders.So is the SPLC being selective in who they pursue, with regards to domestic extremists? BEIJING — The spectacle unfolding on a launchpad on the west coast of North Korea creates a picture of a boastful and media-savvy regime willing to brush off international condemnation — but perhaps not completely unified behind its youthful new leader.Despite warnings from the United States, as well as China and Russia, Pyongyang said Wednesday that it was fueling a three-stage rocket for imminent launch, depending on weather conditions.We don't really care about the opinions from the outside. One of the marquee events is a satellite launch poised to take place as early as Thursday that has raised international concern.Space officials call the launch of the Unha-3 rocket, mounted with an Earth observation satellite, a gift to Kim Il Sung. Gary Samore, a top Obama administration national security official, warned of new sanctions if North Korea conducted a third round of nuclear tests on Monday, as reports surfaced that North Korea has miniaturized its nuclear warheads so they can be delivered by ballistic missile.North Korea’s last round of tests, conducted in May 2009, appear to have included a super-EMP weapon, capable of emitting enough gamma rays to disable the electric power grid across most of the lower 48 states, says Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, a former CIA nuclear weapons analyst and president of EMPact America, a citizens lobbying group.Samore, who handles arms control and non-proliferation issues, warned that additional strong sanctions will be imposed on the North with the support of Russia and China.North Korea’s nuclear tests have been dismissed as failures by some analysts because of their low explosive yield. But Dr. Pry believes they bore the signature of the Russian-designed super-EMP weapon, capable of emitting more gamma radiation than a 25-megaton nuclear weapon.Pry believes the U.S. intelligence community was expecting North Korea to test a first generation implosion device with an explosive yield of 10 to 20 kilotons, similar to the bomb the U.S. exploded over Nagasaki in 1945. He said, So when they saw one that put off just three kilotons, they said it failed. That is so implausible.The technology for producing a first generation implosion weapon has been around since 1945, and is thoroughly described in open source literature.
South Korean defense minister, Kim Kwan-jin, told his country’s parliament on Monday that North Korea had succeeded in miniaturizing its nuclear weapons design, allowing them to place a nuclear warhead on a ballistic missile.His analysis coincided with Congressional testimony in March by Lt. Gen. Ronald L. Burgess, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, who stated that North Korea may now have several plutonium-based warheads that it can deliver by ballistic missiles.The Soviet Union conducted an atmospheric test of an EMP weapon in 1962 over Kazakhstan whose pulse wave set on fire a power station 300 kilometers away and destroyed it within 10 seconds.Such a weapon — equal to a massive solar flare such as the solar maxima predicted by NASA to occur in 2012 — poses “substantial risk to equipment and operation of the nation’s power grid and under extreme conditions could result in major long term electrical outages,said Joseph McClelland of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in Senate testimony last month.Pry said that a group of Russian nuclear weapons scientists approached him in 2004 when he served as staff director of the Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack, to warn the United States that the technology to make that weapon had leaked to North Korea, and possibly to Iran.They told us that Russian scientists had gone to North Korea to work on building the super-EMP weapon, Pry told Newsmax.The North Koreans appear to have tested it in 2006 and again in 2009.

BOUNTIFUL — Two Bountiful High School students were arrested Wednesday after police say they detonated four chemical bombs, exploding one of them inside the school.The school was placed in lockdown Wednesday morning after the homemade bomb was set off by the south entrance near the staircase and foyer area.No one was injured and the school was not damaged. But police said the students are now in a lot of trouble.They just weren't thinking at all about the consequences,said Bountiful Police Sgt. Gary Koehn. They're darn lucky no one was hurt.A second chemical bomb exploded in a nearby church parking lot. Police said two others were found detonated near the side of a road.But resident Joe Hawkes said one was actually placed on his doorstep. He believes his doorstep was chosen at random. But Hawkes is upset because he has two young children who could have been injured.The teens told detectives they got the idea for making the bombs from YouTube.Their excuse was they wanted to hear the booms, Koehn said of the reason the students said they decided to detonate one at the school.Chris Perry, 18, and an unidentified 16-year-old girl were both arrested for investigation of four counts of using a incendiary device. Perry was booked into the Davis County Jail. The girl was booked into the Farmington Bay Detention Facility.The incident began about 8:20 a.m. when a water bottle filled with household chemicals exploded, said Koehn. While no one was hurt, the loud boom was heard by many people.
It was really loud, it was like a shotgun noise,said student Eddie Reyes.We just heard a bang, added 16-year-old student Connor Moosman.I didn't think anything of it honestly, like something dropped on the floor, like a big text book.That incident followed a similar explosion in a nearby church parking lot just a few minutes earlier.Koehn said the school was placed on lockdown and a bomb squad was called as officers conducted a sweep of the building to make sure there weren't any additional explosive devices.A chemical bomb is similar to a dry ice bomb. The difference, Koehn said, is that hydrochloric acid can cause injury to anyone nearby.

But there’s only one problem – it isn’t actually happening.Infowars.com contacted the Sanford Police Department on Sunday, looking for confirmation on the Miami News Times story, but according to the department’s office of public information, We can confirm there have been no reports of any Neo-Nazi, or armed Neo-Nazi patrols in Sanford.The Miami New Times have since updated their article to retract their earlier reports of armed Neo-Nazi patrols in Sanford.Where there are racial extremists, expect to find the Southern Poverty Law Center(SLPC) nearby. In this instance, the SPLC seemed to be perfectly synchronized with the release of the Miami New Times claims, running their own story touting this latest news, warning Florida residents that:The neo-Nazi, National Socialist Movement (NSM) has announced that it will be conducting patrols in Seminole County, Fla., to protect local citizens from the area who are concerned for the safety of their families.The group says it is prepared for racial violence in the Sanford area, where the Martin shooting occurred, and that is has been contacted by dozens of local citizens supposedly seeking protection…

Unfortunately, this same Miami News Times imaginary report of armed Neo-Nazis patroling Stanford, Florida, was rapidly disseminated on dozens of other progressive websites over the weekend, including news site Raw Story written by their Associate editor Muriel Kane, and Democrat Party-oriented website LA Progressive written by Julie Driscoll.Chicago-based liberal Democrat Julie Kindle Driscoll, who also runs a website entitled Politics Anonymous, a partisan website whose content is aligned with Democrat Party talking points, takes the fake Neo-Nazi news report to another level, employing overt race-baiting, subtley inciting Zimmerman haters in her article:Somebody needs to remind these demented zealots that the angry, hostile, violent, armed, murderous killer was a white Hispanic dude, George Zimmerman.This level of retaliatory tabloid sensationalism is hardly surprising, if not irresponsible, considering that writer Driscoll and other bloggers are simply drawing off of a fake news report in order to form their own biased verdicts on the George Zimmerman case. Their commentary will normally stay along left vs right, 1% vs 99%, or black vs white political lines. In Driscoll’s case, it’s a prime example of the writer declaring herself as judge, jury – and executioner of George Zimmerman – all the while concealed behind a cloak of her left-leaning opinion. A number other major media ethical violations are already on the books, most notably TV network NBC’s own humiliating admission that it had in fact edited and then aired audio clips of George Zimmerman’s 911 call to the police in order to give the impression that the caller was racial profiling the victim Martin. This level of deception by the media is nearly unprecedented to date, further eroding the trust between the media and the public. The identity of the producer was not disclosed. In this atmosphere radical partisan disinformation and emotive news reporting, it’s more important than ever for American media consumers to separate real news reports from the type of hyped-up, divisive reports chronicled above.

Free-Market Analysis: We can see from this article excerpt above that two nascent protest movements are joining forces in Philadelphia. One is public banking and the other is Occupy Wall Street.We wish we could be more optimistic about either … or both. But, sorry … This convergence seems to us evidently and obviously a dominant social theme of what we call the power elite. The elites use these fear-based promotions to frighten people into giving up power and wealth to globalist institutions.In observing these dominant social themes it became clear to us that both the public banking movement and Occupy Wall Street are methodologies purveying the involvement of the state in private-sector affairs.The state is the lever that the power elites use to realize what is evidently and obviously a globalist agenda. But there’s only one problem – it isn’t actually happening.Infowars.com contacted the Sanford Police Department on Sunday, looking for confirmation on the Miami News Times story, but according to the department’s office of public information, We can confirm there have been no reports of any Neo-Nazi, or armed Neo-Nazi patrols in Sanford.The Miami New Times have since updated their article to retract their earlier reports of armed Neo-Nazi patrols in Sanford.Where there are racial extremists, expect to find the Southern Poverty Law Center(SLPC) nearby. Unfortunately, this same Miami News Times imaginary report of armed Neo-Nazis patroling Stanford, Florida, was rapidly disseminated on dozens of other progressive websites over the weekend, including news site Raw Story written by their Associate editor Muriel Kane, and Democrat Party-oriented website LA Progressive written by Julie Driscoll.Chicago-based liberal Democrat Julie Kindle Driscoll, who also runs a website entitled Politics Anonymous, a partisan website whose content is aligned with Democrat Party talking points, takes the fake Neo-Nazi news report to another level, employing overt race-baiting, subtley inciting Zimmerman haters in her article:Somebody needs to remind these demented zealots that the angry, hostile, violent, armed, murderous killer was a white Hispanic dude, George Zimmerman.This level of retaliatory tabloid sensationalism is hardly surprising, if not irresponsible, considering that writer Driscoll and other bloggers are simply drawing off of a fake news report in order to form their own biased verdicts on the George Zimmerman case. Their commentary will normally stay along left vs right, 1% vs 99%, or black vs white political lines. In Driscoll’s case, it’s a prime example of the writer declaring herself as judge, jury – and executioner of George Zimmerman – all the while concealed behind a cloak of her left-leaning opinion. Free-Market Analysis: We can see from this article excerpt above that two nascent protest movements are joining forces in Philadelphia. One is public banking and the other is Occupy Wall Street.We wish we could be more optimistic about either … or both. But, sorry … This convergence seems to us evidently and obviously a dominant social theme of what we call the power elite. The elites use these fear-based promotions to frighten people into giving up power and wealth to globalist institutions.In observing these dominant social themes it became clear to us that both the public banking movement and Occupy Wall Street are methodologies purveying the involvement of the state in private-sector affairs.The state is the lever that the power elites use to realize what is evidently and obviously a globalist agenda. Personally, I'm not buying the doom. Maybe part of it is because I don't fear death, but my own intuition tells me that there will be no pole shift in the next year (or near future).Interestingly, Santos Bonacci noticed a 4 degree shift in the sun's position in the past year however, that doesn't necessarily imply a pole shift as it seems to pertain more to the precession of the equinoxes than anything else. If, by little chance, Drunvalo is correct, who would want to live through a pole shift? I came here to experience EVERYTHING and if a pole shift is what I wanted to experience, then so be it, but that's not what I'm feeling or manifesting.
