2020 AMERICAN ELECTION RESULTS BY STATE TRUMP VS LOSER LIBERAL SLEEPY (SLOPPY JOE) BIDEN.

ON D-55 OF THE TRUMP WIN OF THE PRESIDENCY. SUN DEC 27,20.

Key dates for the Electoral College and what they mean-AEIdeas-DECEMBER 14,20

What are the key dates for the workings of the Electoral College?

November 3 — Election Day

Election Day is November 3. We may or may not know the winner of the presidential contest on election night, but we certainly will not have a final tally and certified results until weeks later. States vary widely in the time they allot for certifying their election results. Some may give a final certification the week after Election Day. Others may take over 30 days. And there is the possibility of recounts and judicial contests of elections which could extend the time to determine an official winner of a state.Ballots are passed out to 16 Electors on the Michigan Senate floor for them to cast their formal votes for the president and vice president of the United States in Lansing, Michigan, U.S., December 19, 2016. December 8 — Safe Harbor

December 14 — The meeting of the Electors

Two key dates loom in December. On December 14, presidential electors must have been selected by the states and will meet as a group in their states to cast electoral votes for president and vice president. But December 8 is also a significant date, the so-called “safe harbor” date. The Electoral Count Act sets this date as an important date for states to make their official selection of electors, as those electoral votes will be given greater protection from challenge when Congress counts the electoral votes in January. The Supreme Court in Bush v. Gore assigned great significance to this date in Bush v. Gore.

January 3 — The convening of the new Congress

January 6 — Congress counts the votes

January 20 — Inauguration Day. The new presidential term begins at noon.

On January 3rd, the new Congress will take office, and on January 6th it will meet to count the electoral votes and declare a president- and vice president-elect. On January 20th at noon, the current presidential term will end and the next one will begin. This is excerpted from the new fourth edition of After the People Vote, edited by John Fortier, senior fellow at the Bipartisan Policy Center and a member of AEI’s Election Watch team.John C. Health Ministry chief says Israel aims to vaccinate over 150,000 people per day-Chezy Levy says no shortage of vaccines, believes lockdown will last longer than 2 weeks; asks public to obey regulations even if they don’t have faith in the government-By TOI STAFF-DEC 26,20-Today, 1:09 pm

The director-general of the Health Ministry said on Saturday that Israel hopes to eventually reach a vaccination rate of at least 150,000 people per day, and called on the public to obey restrictions even if they do not have faith in the government.“I hope that within a month, millions will have received their first dose, if not their second,” Chezy Levy told the Kan public broadcaster.Levy also said that the at-risk population should be largely vaccinated with the two required doses of the vaccine at some point in February.“But it is all dependent on two things — firstly that Pfizer and Moderna will be able to increase the supply of vaccines to Israel. And the second thing of course is that the public turns up to get inoculated,” Levy said.He added that there was no shortage of vaccines and that the intention was for people to be inoculated seven days a week, 24 hours per day if necessary. At that rate, the vast majority of the population could be vaccinated by the end of March. Israeli hospitals are to join the vaccination effort next week, and hundreds of IDF medics will also participate, to help expedite the process.Along with some four million doses from Pfizer expected to arrive by the end of the month, it has been reported that another four million were expected to come by the end of March for a total of eight million doses — enough to vaccinate four million people. The country also has an agreement to receive 6 million doses of the Moderna vaccine, enough for 3 million people, which was authorized in the United States for an emergency rollout on Friday by the Food and Drug Administration. However, Channel 12 has said Moderna’s vaccine is not expected to arrive in Israel earlier than April.Levy noted the scenes of crowding in markets across the country and a large party held in Tel Aviv’s Park Hayarkon on Friday, calling on the public to obey the virus regulations “even if they don’t believe in the government.”People wearing face masks shop at the Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem on December 25, 2020. (Yonatan Sindel/Flash90)-While the vaccination drive is moving quickly ahead, Israel’s virus contagion rates are also rising, however, and the country is going into a third nationwide lockdown on Sunday afternoon.Levy also said the lockdown could in fact last for three to four weeks until infection rates were significantly lowered.“I believe it won’t just be two weeks,” Levy said. “These are [infection rates] that we haven’t seen for a long time.”Levy’s comments came a day after a top official from his ministry said Israel aims to begin vaccinating the general public within 7-10 days.Dr. Sharon Alroy-Preis, the acting head of the Health Ministry’s public health services, told Channel 12 news that the ministry intends to move quickly to vaccinations 24/7, and “we hope in 7-10 days” to start vaccinating the general public.Over 200,000 Israelis received a first dose of the vaccine this week — with the focus on healthcare workers and people aged over 60 — placing Israel second in the world in vaccinations per capita, after Bahrain, according to the University of Oxford-run Our World in Data.Asked on Channel 12 whether this meant Israel would essentially have completed its vaccination drive by March 23’s election day, Alroy-Preis carefully avoided a direct answer but stressed that the ministry was doing everything in its power to expedite the arrival of sufficient vaccine doses and to accelerate the inoculation program. The Pfizer vaccines which Israel is using require two doses, three weeks apart.Alroy-Preis also said vaccinations in elderly care facilities should be largely completed by the end of next week.Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu predicted on Thursday that Israel would likely be the first country in the world to overcome the pandemic. “I want to tell you that the combination of the marvelous vaccine campaign on the one hand, and a short and quick lockdown on the other, is allowing us to get out of the coronavirus [pandemic],” Netanyahu said in a statement. “And we’ll likely be the first country to get out of [it], within a few weeks,” he added.

3 HOSPITALIZED, IN STABLE CONDITION-Nashville explosion knocks communications offline, briefly stops flights-Air travel temporarily halted out of Nashville International Airport due to telecommunications issues linked to explosion; AT&T says service disrupted by blast-By KIMBERLEE KRUESI, MICHAEL BALSAMO and ERIC TUCKER-DEC 26,20-Today, 7:59 am

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) — A recreational vehicle parked in the deserted streets of downtown Nashville exploded early Christmas morning, causing widespread communications outages that took down police emergency systems and grounded holiday travel at the city’s airport.Police were responding to a report of shots fired Friday when they encountered the RV blaring a recorded warning that a bomb would detonate in 15 minutes, Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake said. Police evacuated nearby buildings and called in the bomb squad. The RV exploded shortly afterward, Drake said.“This morning’s attack on our community was intended to create chaos and fear in this season of peace and hope. But Nashvillians have proven time and time again that the spirit of our city cannot be broken,” Mayor John Cooper said at a news conference after issuing a curfew for the area.Police believe the blast was intentional but don’t yet know a motive or target, and Drake noted that officials had not received any threats before the explosion.A couple checks flight status at Nashville international Airport Friday, Dec. 25, 2020 in Nashville. Tennessee (AP Photo/Mark Humphrey)-The chief said investigators at the scene “have found tissue that we believe could be remains, but we’ll have that examined and let you know at that time.” Police could not say whether it potentially came from someone inside the RV.Three people taken to area hospitals for treatment were in stable condition Friday evening, Cooper said.Surveillance video published on a Twitter account Friday that appeared to be across the street from the blast captured the warning issuing from the RV, “… if you can hear this message, evacuate now,” seconds before the explosion. The blast sent black smoke and flames billowing from the heart of downtown Nashville’s tourist scene, an area packed with honky-tonks, restaurants and shops. Buildings shook and windows shattered streets away from the explosion near a building owned by AT&T that lies one block from the company’s office tower, a landmark in downtown.“We do not know if that was a coincidence, or if that was the intention,” police spokesman Don Aaron said. He said earlier that some people were taken to the department’s central precinct for questioning but declined to give details.AT&T said the affected building is the central office of a telephone exchange, with network equipment in it. The blast interrupted service, but the company declined to say how widespread outages were. The AT&T outages site showed service issues in middle Tennessee and Kentucky. Several police agencies reported that their 911 systems were down because of the outage, including Knox County, home to Knoxville about 180 miles (290 kilometers) east of Nashville.AT&T said that it was bringing in portable cell sites and was working with law enforcement to get access to make repairs to its equipment. The company noted that “power is essential to restoring” service. The Federal Aviation Administration temporarily halted flights out of Nashville International Airport because of telecommunications issues associated with the explosion. The FBI will be taking the lead in the investigation, agency spokesman Joel Siskovic said. Federal investigators from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were also on the scene. The FBI is the primary law enforcement agency responsible for investigating federal crimes, such as explosives violations and acts of terrorism.A Philadelphia man staying in a nearby hotel said that when he heard the blast, he was knew it wasn’t harmless.“We tried to rationalize it that it was an earthquake or something, but it was obvious it wasn’t an earthquake,” Joseph Fafara said. When he went to look at the damage, police barricades had already been put in place.Buck McCoy, who lives near the area, posted videos on Facebook that show water pouring down the ceiling of his home. Alarms blare in the background along with cries of people in distress. A fire is visible in the street outside.McCoy said he heard gunfire 15 minutes before the explosion rocked his building, set cars in the street on fire and blew trees apart.“All my windows, every single one of them got blown into the next room. If I had been standing there it would have been horrible,” he said.“It felt like a bomb. It was that big,” he told The Associated Press-US President Donald Trump has been briefed, according to White House spokesperson Judd Deere. The US Justice Department said Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen was also briefed and directed all department resources be made available to help with the investigation.Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee said on Twitter that the state would provide the resources necessary “to determine what happened and who was responsible.”The American Red Cross of Tennessee announced that it was working with officials to open a shelter for victims.

Russia says it expects ‘nothing good’ from Biden administration-As ties with US under Trump reach lowest point since Cold War and amid major unresolved issues, Moscow officials say they don’t anticipate improvement-By Anastasia CLARK-dec 23,20-Today, 2:58 pm

MOSCOW, Russia (AFP) — With less than a month before Joe Biden moves into the White House, Moscow on Wednesday accused the incoming US administration of “Russophobia” after the president-elect promised to punish Russia for a major cyberattack.Biden is expected to take a tougher stance against Russia than Donald Trump, whose ascent to the US presidency in 2016 was plagued by accusations of Russian interference to boost his campaign.Russian President Vladimir Putin was one of the last leaders to congratulate Biden on his election victory, sending his congratulatory message six weeks after the November 3 vote and saying he was ready for “collaboration.”Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov, speaking to reporters on Wednesday, said the Kremlin was expecting “nothing positive” in ties with Washington.Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov struck a similar note, speaking about Moscow’s expectations from the future US administration.“We are definitely not expecting anything good,” Ryabkov said in an interview with Interfax news agency. “And it would be strange to expect good things from people, many of whom made their careers on Russophobia and throwing mud at my country.”Washington has recently accused Russia of a major cyberattack on government agencies — a claim Moscow has denied. Biden on Tuesday said the attack cannot go “unanswered,” promising to retaliate once he steps into office on January 20.New START, Iran deal-Russia and the United States have a litany of issues to settle following the transition of power in Washington.Tensions have raged for months over the fate of New START, which caps the number of nuclear warheads held by Washington and Moscow and expires in February 2021. No agreement has been reached on the extension of the last major nuclear arms reduction accord between Russia and the United States. The Iran nuclear deal has also been on the brink of collapse ever since Trump withdrew from it in 2018 and imposed crippling economic sanctions on Tehran.Ryabkov said Moscow should move to a “total containment” approach in relations with the United States and retain “selective dialogue” on subjects that are of interest to Russia. Both Peskov and Ryabkov said that Russia would not initiate any contacts with Biden’s transition staff.‘From bad to worse’Referring to fresh US sanctions imposed this week on 45 Russian organizations over their military connections, Ryabkov said the outgoing administration was trying to “loudly slam the door.”“We are going from bad to worse,” Ryabkov said.Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday promised a response to the new sanctions, saying that the United States has “long been pursuing a hostile policy” towards Russia.Despite initial hopes that Moscow-Washington ties could improve under Trump, Russia’s relations with the US have continued to sour over the course of his presidency, reaching their lowest point since the end of the Cold War.Trump’s administration imposed sanctions on Russia and withdrew from a Cold War-era arms control pact — the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty — leaving the two countries at risk of a new arms race. Most recently, the US administration announced that it would close its two remaining consulates in Russia, leaving the Moscow embassy as the United States’ last diplomatic mission in the country.Despite the tensions, Putin expressed hope that Biden’s stepping into office would be an opportunity to improve bilateral ties. Speaking during his end-of-year news conference last week, Putin said he hoped that some existing problems “will be resolved under the new administration.”But the Russian leader also slammed the “aggressive” West, saying that in comparison Russia was “warm and cuddly.”

Trump slams COVID relief bill, suggests he won’t sign it-US president says measure gives too much help to other countries, calls for stipends to be increased to $2,000; Congress has enough votes to override veto-By KEVIN FREKING, LISA MASCARO and Andrew Taylor-DEC 23,20-Today, 5:16 am

WASHINGTON (AP) — US President Donald Trump late Tuesday threatened to torpedo Congress’ massive pandemic relief package in the midst of a raging pandemic and deep economic uncertainty, suddenly demanding changes fellow Republicans have opposed.Trump assailed the bipartisan $900 billion package in a video he tweeted out Tuesday night and suggested he may not sign it. He said the bill would deliver too much money to foreign countries, but not enough to Americans. The bill provides for a $600 payment to most Americans, but Trump said he is asking Congress to amend the bill and “increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2,000, or $4,000 for a couple. I am also asking Congress to get rid of the wasteful and unnecessary items from this legislation and to send me a suitable bill.”The relief package was part of a hard-fought compromise bill that includes $1.4 trillion to fund government agencies through September and contains other end-of-session priorities such as money for cash-starved transit systems, an increase in food stamp benefits and about $4 billion to help other nations provide a COVID-19 vaccine for their people.pic.twitter.com/v9Rdjz6DNu — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 23, 2020-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi quickly responded to Trump’s tweet with one of her own, all but daring Trump’s Republican allies in Congress to meet the president’s demand for far higher payments. “At last, the President has agreed to $2,000,” she tweeted. “Democrats are ready to bring this to the Floor this week by unanimous consent. Let’s do it!”But Republicans have been reluctant to spend more on pandemic relief and only agreed to the big year-end package as time dwindled for a final deal. And Sen. Chuck Schumer, the Senate Democratic leader, said “Trump needs to sign the bill to help people and keep the government open,” and Congress would step up for more aid after.Nevertheless, Pelosi was expected to put Trump’s proposal forward Thursday for a vote. The Senate cleared the huge package by a 92-6 vote after the House approved it by another lopsided vote, 359-53. Those votes totals would be enough to override a veto should Trump decide to take that step. The relief package was brought forward Monday afternoon and sped through the House and Senate in a matter of hours as lawmakers worked to close the books on the year. While many lawmakers complained about being given so little time to read the bill, they overwhelmingly voted for it as local businesses and constituents seek economic relief from the pandemicAfter months of partisanship and politicking about pandemic relief, the logjam broke after President-elect Joe Biden urged his party to accept a compromise with top Republicans that is smaller than many Democrats would have liked. The relief bill Trump is criticizing would establish a temporary $300 per week supplemental jobless benefit and a $600 direct stimulus payment to most Americans, along with a new round of subsidies for hard-hit businesses, restaurants and theaters and money for schools, health care providers and renters facing eviction.Earlier in the day, Biden applauded lawmakers for their work. He described the package as far from perfect, “but it does provide vital relief at a critical time.”He also said more relief would be needed in the months ahead. “We have our first hint and glimpse of bipartisanship,” Biden said. “In this election, the American people made it clear they want us to reach across the aisle and work together.”Trump again held no public events at the White House. He has refused to accept the reality of his loss and claimed incorrectly in his tweet Tuesday that if Congress didn’t send him a suitable bill, then the next administration would have to deliver a pandemic relief package “and maybe that administration will be me and we will get it done.”After tweeting his threat, he criticized fellow Republicans in the Senate who are not supportive of an effort to block Congress from affirming Biden’s victory in the November election. Sen. John Thune, R-S.D. said such as effort would “go down like a shot dog.”

IDF: Our subs sail everywhere; Iran: Our response to any attack will be strong-Army spokesman tells Saudi paper Israel is tracking Iran movements in region, days after Israeli submarine said to cross Suez Canal; Revolutionary Guard says ready for any scenario-By TOI STAFF-DEC 26,20-Today, 3:27 pm

After an Israel Defense Forces spokesman told a Saudi newspaper on Friday that Israeli submarines were quietly operating “everywhere,” an unnamed Iranian official told Al Jazeera Saturday that “Tehran’s response to any attack on national security will be strong and wide.”The anonymous source claimed that Israel “is looking for excuses to drag the region into tension that will create chaos” in the final days of US President Donald Trump’s term. And the top naval commander in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that Iran was ready to defend itself and was prepared for any scenario.Forces, systems and equipment are at the desired level of readiness to defend the water borders, the interests and security of our country,” said IRGC Navy Commander Admiral Alireza Tangsiri.Tangsiri’s comments came after IDF Spokesperson Hidai Zilberman told the Saudi Arabian Elaph news outlet that Israel was tracking Iranian movements around the region, and that Israeli submarines were quietly “sailing everywhere.”Zilberman gave the interview after an Israeli submarine reportedly openly crossed the Suez Canal last week in a show of force directed at Iran. The move was approved by Egypt, according to the Kan public broadcaster, which cited Arab intelligence sources. The submarine reportedly surfaced and faced the Persian Gulf, which lies on the other side of Saudi Arabia. The intelligence sources said the move was meant to “send a message” to Iran.Zilberman additionally said that although Israel was not aware of any specific plans by Iran to attack the Jewish state, Iranian forces could carry out an attack from Iraq or Yemen, according to a translation of the interview by the Ynet news site.He said Israel had information indicating Iran was developing unmanned aerial vehicles and “smart missiles” in Iraq and Yemen, and that the weapons could have the ability to strike Israel.Zilberman said Israel had attacked targets in Syria in the past year, and used 500 smart missiles, without any response from Iran or the Syrian regime. He added that Israel had no intention of letting up its pressure campaign against Iran in Syria. The IDF has launched hundreds of strikes in Syria since the start of the civil war in 2011 against moves by Iran to establish a permanent military presence in the country and efforts to transport advanced, game-changing weapons to terrorist groups in the region, principally Hezbollah.Zilberman’s comments were not immediately available in English and the interview contained few direct quotes-On Monday, IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi warned Iran against attacking Israel, saying that the Jewish state will retaliate forcefully against any aggression.Iran has threatened to attack Israel since the assassination of its top nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, in late November, in a raid blamed on the Jewish state. In a strikingly similar move to the reported Israeli submarine crossing of the Suez Canal, a US nuclear submarine crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Monday as the anniversary of the killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani by a US drone approached.US military officials fear an attack by Tehran to avenge the powerful Soleimani, leader of the IRGC’s elite Quds force, who was assassinated on January 3, 2020, in a US drone strike near Baghdad airport in Iraq.Agencies contributed to this report.

Houthi sea mine strikes cargo ship in Red Sea, says Saudi Arabian state TV-Report follows series of assaults targeting Saudi energy infrastructure, spurring concerns about naval safety in crucial transit zone for global shipping and energy supplies-By AP-DEC 26,20-Today, 3:22 pm

CAIRO — A sea mine planted by Yemen’s Houthi rebels struck a cargo ship in the southern Red Sea on Friday, Saudi Arabia’s state-owned television channel reported, without providing further details.Al-Ekhbariya quoted the Saudi-led coalition, which has been fighting Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen since 2015. The coalition did not identify the vessel or elaborate on the attack. The US Navy’s 5th Fleet, which patrols the Mideast, did not respond to a request for comment. The United Kingdom Marine Trade Operations, an information exchange overseen by the British Royal Navy in the region, did not immediately acknowledge the incident. The report follows a series of assaults targeting Saudi energy infrastructure that has spurred concerns about ship safety in the Red Sea, a crucial transit zone for global shipping and energy supplies that largely had avoided the chaos of regional tensions involving the US and Iran last year.Earlier this month, the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen said that it had recently detected and destroyed 171 sea mines dispatched into Red Sea waters by the Houthi rebels. Houthi military officials have not commented on the latest allegations.Shiite Houthi tribesmen hold their weapons as they chant slogans during a tribal gathering showing support for the Houthi movement, in Sanaa, Yemen, Sept. 21, 2019 (AP Photo/Hani Mohammed)-Any mining of the Red Sea is a danger not only to Saudi Arabia but to the rest of the world. Mines can enter the water and then be carried away by the currents, which change by the season.Less than two weeks ago, an explosion struck an oil tanker off Saudi Arabia’s port city of Jiddah, resulting in the shutdown of the most important shipping point for the kingdom. The Saudis blamed the explosion on a bomb-laden boat like the remote-controlled ones used by Yemen’s Houthi rebels.Since 2015, Saudi Arabia has led a US-backed military coalition against the Houthis, who overran most of Yemen’s northern parts, including the capital Sanaa the previous year. That forced the UN-recognized government to flee to the south. The war in the Arab world’s poorest country has killed more than 112,000 people, including thousands of civilians. The conflict has also resulted in the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.

ELECTORAL VOTES MON DEC 14, 2020

2020 PRESIDENT DONALD J TRUMP 271 ELECTORAL VOTES.(AFTER ALL THE LIBERAL STALLING,CRYING AND THERAPY GETTING ALREADY. AND TRUMP IS NOT DECLARED WINNER YET) (D6 USA ELECTION) SUN NOV 08,20

The United States of America is a federal republic[1] consisting of 50 states, a federal district (Washington, D.C., the capital city of the United States), five major territories, and various minor islands.[2][3] The 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C., are in North America between Canada and Mexico, while Alaska is in the far northwestern part of North America and Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-Pacific. Territories of the United States are scattered throughout the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.States possess a number of powers and rights under the United States Constitution, such as regulating intrastate commerce, running elections, creating local governments, and ratifying constitutional amendments. Each state has its own constitution, grounded in republican principles, and government, consisting of three branches: executive, legislative, and judicial.[4] All states and their residents are represented in the federal Congress, a bicameral legislature consisting of the Senate and the House of Representatives. Each state is represented by two senators, while representatives are distributed among the states in proportion to the most recent constitutionally mandated decennial census.[5] Additionally, each state is entitled to select a number of electors to vote in the Electoral College, the body that elects the president of the United States, equal to the total of representatives and senators in Congress from that state.[6] Article IV, Section 3, Clause 1 of the Constitution grants to Congress the authority to admit new states into the Union. Since the establishment of the United States in 1776, the number of states has expanded from the original 13 to the current total of 50, and each new state is admitted on an equal footing with the existing states.[7] As provided by Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, Congress exercises "exclusive jurisdiction" over the federal district, which is not part of any state. Prior to passage of the 1973 District of Columbia Home Rule Act, which devolved certain Congressional powers to an elected mayor and council, the district did not have an elected local government. Even so, Congress retains the right to review and overturn laws created by the council and intervene in local affairs.[8] As it is not a state, the district does not have representation in the Senate. However, since 1971, its residents have been represented in the House of Representatives by a non-voting delegate.[9] Additionally, since 1961, following ratification of the 23rd Amendment, the district has been entitled to select three electors to vote in the Electoral College.
