29 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.

DANIEL 9:26-27
26 And after threescore and two weeks(62X7=434 YEARS+7X7=49 YEARS=TOTAL OF 69 WEEKS OR 483 YRS) shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;(ROMAN LEADERS DESTROYED THE 2ND TEMPLE) and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.(THERE HAS TO BE 70 WEEKS OR 490 YRS TO FUFILL THE VISION AND PROPHECY OF DAN 9:24).(THE NEXT VERSE IS THAT 7 YR WEEK OR (70TH FINAL WEEK).

15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes;(JESUS) but he shall be broken without hand.

Olmert seeks to reassure Abbas on talks By Adam Entous JUNE 2,08

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas protested Jewish settlement growth near Jerusalem in talks on Monday with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who sought to show it was business-as-usual despite a corruption probe. Differences were deep and strong in this area, Abbas aide Saeb Erekat said of the settlement issue, which has dogged U.S.-sponsored peace talks since they were launched in November.Abbas's prime minister, Salam Fayyad, stepped up the pressure, calling on the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in a letter to deny Israel membership over building on occupied land, a Palestinian official said.Olmert's spokesman, Mark Regev, said Fayyad's lobbying efforts with the OECD were simply unproductive and that the prime minister raised the issue during his two-hour meeting with Abbas in Jerusalem. Olmert will fly later on Monday to Washington, where he will meet President George W. Bush.Olmert has so far rebuffed calls that he leave office over allegations he took envelopes stuffed with cash from a Jewish-American businessman. Olmert and the businessman have denied wrongdoing.

Officials said Olmert's strategy was to push ahead with the negotiations with the Palestinians, as well as indirect talks with Syria, as if nothing has changed in hope the police investigation does not end in charges against him. This process will continue, Regev said of the talks with the Palestinians, adding that Olmert recommitted himself during the meeting to trying to reach a deal on Palestinian statehood by the end of the year. We're hopeful, still, that it will be possible to reach such an agreement, Regev said. I can say unequivocally that there was progress reached in this meeting today.

He gave no details.

The political crisis enveloping Olmert could trigger an early election and derail the peace talks, Israeli, Palestinian and Western officials say. Olmert says he will resign if indicted.

SETTLEMENTS

On the eve of the Olmert-Abbas meeting, Israel announced plans to build nearly 900 homes in areas of the occupied West Bank that the Israeli government considers part of Jerusalem, despite U.S. and Palestinian calls to stop settlement expansion. If Israel does not halt these activities, it will be difficult to reach the political settlement, Abbas said at a news conference earlier in the day with visiting German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.Erekat urged Washington to step up pressure on Israel to stop the building.

Israeli officials said Olmert's plight may have spurred his backing of the new tenders, which include an additional 763 housing units in Pisgat Zeev and 121 housing units in Har Homa, an area Palestinians refer to as Jabal Abu Ghneim. The new building could help Olmert shore up support from the ultra-Orthodox Shas party, a key member of his coalition government opposed to major concessions to the Palestinians on Jerusalem, the officials said. The 2003 peace road map requires a halt to all settlement activity on occupied land where Palestinians seek statehood.White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said there were tensions on both sides, citing the settlement issue as well as concerns that the Palestinians were not moving fast enough on their security obligations under the road map. So it's a two-way street, she said.

DANIEL 11:40-45
40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south( EGYPT) push at him:(EU DICTATOR IN ISRAEL) and the king of the north (RUSSIA AND MUSLIM HORDES OF EZEK 38+39) shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.(JORDAN)
42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
44 But tidings out of the east(CHINA 2ND WAVE OF WW3) and out of the north(RUSSIA, MUSLIMS WHATS LEFT FROM WAVE 1) shall trouble him:(EU DICTATOR IN ISRAEL) therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.( 1/3RD OF EARTHS POPULATION)
45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

No room for Israel in Egyptian hearts or maps by Alain Navarro JUNE 2,08

CAIRO (AFP) - Israel, which recently celebrated the 60th anniversary of its creation, does not exist on maps and atlases in Egypt where the history of the Jewish State is taught only as a painful reality. Maps sold in Cairo's main bookshops omit Israel, with the area comprising Israel and the occupied territories simply labelled Palestine in Arabic.Sixty years after its creation, and 30 years after the Camp David accords paved the way for a 1979 peace treaty with Egypt, Israel exists only virtually as far as its neighbour to the west is concerned.Breaking ranks with other Arab nations, Egypt was the first to recognise the state of Israel, followed by Jordan and Mauritania. The other 18 member states of the Arab League do not officially recognise Israel.Maps of the region sold in Egypt are often produced in other countries such as Syria or Lebanon. No, there are no maps with the name Israel. We follow the rest of the Arab world in this, peace treaty or not, snapped Ibrahim Mahmud, who works in a bookshop in downtown Fagalla Street.

A widespread boycott of normalisation with Israel means there are no Israeli books in libraries and no Israeli films shown on Egyptian screens for fear of lodging Israel into people's consciousness, some observers say. It's a type of schizophrenia, a regrettable denial of reality, said Emad Gad, a researcher at the Al-Ahram Centre for Political and Strategic Studies, who edits a monthly publication of Arabic translations of Israeli texts.A cold peace does exist. At the top of the social ladder there is dialogue and business, but at the bottom there is a void, Gad told AFP.Last week Culture Minister Faruq Hosni came under fire from Israel's ambassador in Cairo Shalom Cohen and from the Simon Wiesenthal Centre for saying that he was prepared to burn Israeli books. He said the comments were meant only as an expression to prove that something does not exist -- in this case Israeli books in Egyptian libraries -- defending the position prevalent among Egyptian intellectual and artistic circles on boycotting Israel.

Hosni stressed that he opposed normalising cultural ties with Israel before it has made peace with the Palestinians.Egyptians view the events of 1948 as the Naqba or catastrophe in Arabic -- the exodus of some 700,000 Palestinians during the first of several wars between Israel and neigbouring Arab states. In a reflection of predominant opinion, widely read journalist Salam Ahmed Salama described Israel as a dangerous cancer in a column headlined 60 terrible years in the state-owned daily Al-Ahram.Textbooks, approved and stamped by the ministry of education, do not skip over the birth of Israel but rather they present an Arab version of that country's controversial history. The facts are clear -- the Palestinians were kicked out of their land, and Israel has never applied the peace treaty, said Magdi Qassem, head of the National Textbooks Committee. The fact that maps in geography textbooks for 13-year-olds do not mention Israel is for him Israel's fault because it refuses to fix the borders. Its borders, as defined by the UN Security Council, are those of before the 1967 war which ended in a dramatic victory for Israel.

In just six days Israel captured huge swathes of territory -- the Sinai from Egypt, the Gaza Strip, West Bank, Arab east Jerusalem and Syria's Golan Heights. In high-school textbooks, used by all 50,000 public and private educational establishments, several pages are devoted to Egypt and Israel's common history. But never will the Egyptian people accept the peace treaty as long as Israel continues to massacre Palestinians, Qassem said. For Kamal Mougith, a former professor and now at the National Centre of Educational Research, teaching material which affects the neutrality of events is a problem. The conservative and Islamist currents are strong in the academic hierarchy... influencing even Arabic and religion textbooks, he said. And Israel and the Jews are caught in the middle of this axis of evil.

A year later, Hamas rule deepens in Gaza By STEVEN GUTKIN, Associated Press Writer Sun Jun 1, 2:47 PM ET

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - A year into Hamas' rule in the Gaza Strip, courts are meting out justice, police are arresting thieves, motorists are paying for licenses and authorities are blocking Internet porn sites. At the same time, Gazans are stocking up on vegetable oil — not for cooking, but to run their cars during a severe fuel shortage. A punishing Israeli-led blockade has forced 80 percent of the people to rely on United Nations food handouts. With sanitation services collapsing, millions of gallons of raw sewage are flowing into the sea. Enemies of the regime have been silenced.A year after Hamas militants seized power in five days of bloody fighting that included tossing rivals off high-rise rooftops, it's become clear that Israel's boycott of Gaza has not significantly weakened Hamas and its control is deepening. We've only become stronger. We will not stand down. We will not go back, said Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri.

Hamas' rule in Gaza — along with a corruption scandal in Israel that threatens to bring down Prime Minister Ehud Olmert — is badly damaging prospects for a U.S.-backed Mideast peace initiative that seeks to forge an agreement by year's end between Israel and the moderate Palestinian leadership in the West Bank.Gaza — a tiny fenced-in territory whose 1.4 million inhabitants are not free to come and go — has become a morass of contradictions.Internal fighting has stopped and crime is down under Hamas rule, but the calm was partly purchased through killing and torture. A cease-fire in Gaza that Egypt is trying to arrange could boost a U.S.-backed Mideast peace initiative, but it could also prolong Hamas' rule. Quite a bit of money seems to be entering Gaza, but there's hardly anything to buy.Hamas is on a collision course with Israel, which still controls Gaza's borders, air space and coastline despite having withdrawn its army and settlers from the territory three years ago. Gaza militants launch rockets at southern Israel almost daily, and Israel targets Gaza with air strikes, land incursions and deadly missiles said to be fired from unmanned drones. The fighting has killed more than 400 Gazans and injured thousands of others in the past year. On the Israeli side, 11 soldiers have died fighting inside Gaza and six Israeli civilians have been killed and 110 wounded by shells fired into Israel. The barrages — nearly 3,000 rockets and mortars, according to the Israeli army — also have terrorized any Israeli living within range, including the about 110,000 residents of Ashkelon, nine miles north of Gaza.Musa Mahmoud Jaber el-Ghoul is a village elder among about 300 Palestinians living a few hundred yards from Gaza's northern border with Israel — the area where militants often launch rockets — and he says he has repeatedly begged the rocketers to stop firing across the border. When anyone is injured over there (Ashkelon), it's considered a great achievement for the resistance, says 62-year-old el-Ghoul. But, he added, It means the retaliation from the other side is also very tough ... and we pay the price.

El-Ghoul, nicknamed Abu Ziad, was wounded himself fighting Israel and spent eight years in an Israeli jail. But now whenever Israel decides to stage a raid, soldiers with loudspeakers shout out Abu Ziad! from atop tanks, or call him on his cell phone, telling him to ask residents to stay indoors. One bizarre aspect of the fighting is the militants' decision to target the border crossings from where vital humanitarian aid enters Gaza. That helps explain what the U.N. says is a 75 percent reduction in the supplies coming in during the past year.On one recent day, a militant blew up the only pedestrian crossing into Israel with a four-ton truck bomb. Despite the bombing, thousands of Gazans demonstrated hours later to demand the opening of Gaza's borders, and Palestinians said Israeli soldiers fired on the crowd, killing one man and wounding 16 others.

While striking the border crossings would seem to be against the interests of Gaza's rulers, the attacks may be part of a strategy to break the Israeli boycott and seek more favorable conditions for a cease-fire.Such a truce could further President Bush's peace efforts because heavy casualties in Gaza make it hard for the moderate, West Bank Palestinian leadership to negotiate with Israel. Yet if a truce includes opening Gaza's borders to trade as Hamas demands, the main leverage on the group would be forfeited.

For now, the fighting goes on, and civilians — both in Gaza and southern Israel — are paying the heaviest price. Fawez Abdul Jawad, a 40-year-old former Fatah-affiliated policeman, says he watches a video, over and over, of the Israeli bomb that destroyed his son's wedding last January. In the video, two young boys and a man are seen dancing to the joyful beat of drums when the screen suddenly goes blank. Seconds later, the scene reappears — but this time with clouds of dust, screaming women and bloodied bodies. An Israeli missile had hit a Hamas police building next door, killing Jawad's aunt and injuring him and three relatives, including a 7-year-old boy who he said may be permanently paralyzed. The joy was ripped from us, said the father of six. Hamas, aware of the damage the Gaza-West Bank split has done to the Palestinians' statehood aspirations, says it wants to return to a power-sharing arrangement with Fatah — like the one dissolved last June 14 when Hamas took control of the strip. We need each other, says Ghazi Hamad, political adviser to Hamas' prime minister, Ismail Haniyeh. But for Fatah's West Bank government, joining forces with Hamas could jeopardize the large amount of money it gets from the international community. And Israel has made it clear it won't hold peace talks with any government that includes Hamas, which remains sworn to the Jewish state's destruction. Meanwhile, the prevailing view in Gaza is that Hamas is becoming entrenched. Motorists now must pay to register their vehicles and Hamas police control traffic — a big change from the general mayhem under Fatah-led governments. This past week authorities began blocking Internet porn, jamming many wholesome sites in the process. Not everyone is happy with Hamas' methods, but Gazans are reluctant to complain. Hamas has shut down all opposition media in the strip, and two men interviewed for this story said they were tortured by Hamas — one displaying a leg wound that he said came from metal spikes driven into his shin. Support from Syria and Iran helps keep the Hamas government running. Iran is said to be both financing Hamas and providing increasingly sophisticated weaponry to attack Israel. The moderate Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, also sends lots of money into Gaza by paying salaries to former Fatah employees on the condition they stay home from work.

But even Gazans with money can find little to buy. Some goods are smuggled in through tunnels from Egypt, but mostly only food and medicine are allowed in, leaving acute shortages of everything from cement to baby strollers. Gaza's children seem the most vulnerable in the bitter standoff. Between 70 percent and 90 percent are failing math in U.N.-run schools and 60 percent are failing Arabic, said John Ging, Gaza director of the U.N. agency in charge of Palestinian refugees. He blamed the children's flunking on overcrowding, underfunding and a violent environment that does not encourage study. AP reporters Diaa Hadid and Ibrahim Barzak contributed to this report.

OZONE DEPLETION

ISAIAH 30:26-27
26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.
27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:

MATTHEW 24:21-22,29
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened (Daylight hours shortened)
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

REVELATION 16:7-9
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

JERUSALEM DIVIDED

ZECHARIAH 12:1-5 King James Bible
1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

JOEL 3:2
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

ZECHARIAH 14:1-9 King James Bible
1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Temple Mount 100% Islamic Warning: Any action that offends holy site will be answered by 1.5 billion Muslims Posted: June 01, 2008

JERUSALEM – Jerusalem and the Temple Mount belong to the Muslims and any Israeli action that offends the Mount will be answered by 1.5 billion Muslims, declared the chief of staff for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.Jerusalem is Muslim. The blessed Al Aqsa mosque and Harem Al Sharif (Temple Mount) is 100 percent Muslim. The Israelis are playing with fire when they threaten Al Aqsa with digging that is taking place, said Abbas' chief of staff Rafiq Al Husseini.

The Temple Mount is Judaism's holiest site.

Husseini was referring to Israeli plans to construct a new bridge from the Western Wall area to the Temple Mount. The old bridge was damaged two years ago. When Israeli workers tried to repair it, Palestinian leaders claimed the work was threatening the Al Aqsa Mosque, even though the mosque is located hundreds of feet away, the work did not tunnel under any Mount foundation or touch any structure connected to the mosque, and the repair work – which had been pre-approved by Jordan and the Mount's Muslim custodians – was conducted under the scrutiny of an accessible 24/7 webcam. Any hurting of Jerusalem will explode the whole negotiations between us and the Israelis ... we must work to strengthen Palestinian ties to Jerusalem, al-Husseini said.Israel has been negotiating with Abbas in line with talks started at last November's U.S.-backed Annapolis Summit, which seeks to create a Palestinian state before the end of the year. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is widely expected to offer the Palestinians most of the West Bank and eastern sections of Jerusalem. The Temple Mount is located in eastern Jerusalem.

Mainstream Palestinian leaders claim the Temple Mount is Muslim in spite of overwhelming archaeological evidence documenting the first and second Jewish temples. In a WND exclusive interview last year, Taysir Tamimi, chief Palestinian Justice and one of the most influential Muslim leaders in Israel, argued the Jewish Temples never existed, the Western Wall really was a tying post for Muhammad's horse, the Al Aqsa Mosque was built by angels, and Abraham, Moses and Jesus were prophets for Islam.Tamimi is considered the second most important Palestinian cleric after Muhammad Hussein, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. Israel started since 1967 making archeological digs to show Jewish signs to prove the relationship between Judaism and the city and they found nothing. There is no Jewish connection to Israel before the Jews invaded in the 1880s, said Tamimi. About these so-called two Temples, they never existed, certainly not at the [Temple Mount], Tamimi said during a sit-down interview in his eastern Jerusalem office. The Palestinian cleric denied the validity of dozens of digs verified by experts worldwide revealing Jewish artifacts from the First and Second Temples throughout Jerusalem, including on the Temple Mount itself; excavations revealing Jewish homes and a synagogue in a site in Jerusalem called the City of David; or even the recent discovery of a Second Temple Jewish city in the vicinity of Jerusalem.

Tamimi said descriptions of the Jewish Temples in the Hebrew Tanach, in the Talmud and in Byzantine and Roman writings from the Temple periods were forged, and that the Torah was falsified to claim biblical patriarchs and matriarchs were Jewish when indeed they were prophets for Islam. All this is not real. We don't believe in all your versions. Your Torah was falsified. The text as given to the Muslim prophet Moses never mentions Jerusalem. Maybe Jerusalem was mentioned in the rest of the Torah, which was falsified by the Jews, said Tamimi. He said Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses and Jesus were prophets for the Israelites sent by Allah as to usher in Islam.Asked about the Western Wall, Tamimi said the structure was a tying post for Muhammad's horse and that it is part of the Al Aqsa Mosque, even though the Wall predates the mosque by over 1,000 years. The Western wall is the western wall of the Al Aqsa Mosque. It's where Prophet Muhammad tied his animal which took him from Mecca to Jerusalem to receive the revelations of Allah.

The Kotel, or Western Wall, is an outer retaining wall of the Temple Mount that survived the destruction of the Second Temple and still stands today in Jerusalem. Tamimi went on to claim to WND the Al Aqsa Mosque , which has sprung multiple leaks and has had to be repainted several times, was built by angels. Al Aqsa was build by the angels forty years after the building of Al-Haram in Mecca. This we have no doubt is true, he said. The First Temple was built by King Solomon in the 10th century B.C. It was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 B.C. The Second Temple was rebuilt in 515 B.C. after Jerusalem was freed from Babylonian captivity. That temple was destroyed by the Roman Empire in A.D. 70. Each temple stood for a period of about four centuries. The Temple was the center of religious worship for ancient Israelites. It housed the Holy of Holies, which contained the Ark of the Covenant and was said to be the area upon which God's presence dwelt. All biblical holidays centered on worship at the Temple. The Temples served as the primary location for the offering of sacrifices and was the main gathering place for Israelites.According to the Talmud, the world was created from the foundation stone of the Temple Mount. It's believed to be the biblical Mount Moriah, the location where Abraham fulfilled God's test to see if he would be willing to sacrifice his son Isaac. The Temple Mount has remained a focal point for Jewish services for thousands of years. Prayers for a return to Jerusalem and the rebuilding of the Temple have been uttered by Jews since the Second Temple was destroyed, according to Jewish tradition. The Al Aqsa Mosque was constructed in about 709 to serve as a shrine near another shrine, the Dome of the Rock, which was built by an Islamic caliph. Al Aqsa was meant to mark what Muslims came to believe was the place at which Muhammad, the founder of Islam, ascended to heaven to receive revelations from Allah. Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Quran. It is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible 656 times. Muslims worldwide pray with their backs away from the Temple Mount and toward Mecca.

Islamic tradition states Muhammad took a journey in a single night on a horse from a sacred mosque – believed to be in Mecca in southern Saudi Arabia – to the farthest mosque and from a rock there ascended to heaven. The farthest mosque became associated with Jerusalem about 120 years ago. According to research by Israeli Author Shmuel Berkovits, Islam historically disregarded Jerusalem. Berkovits points out in his new book, How dreadful is this place! that Muhammad was said to loathe Jerusalem and what it stood for. He wrote Muhammad made a point of eliminating pagan sites of worship, and sanctifying only one place – the Kaaba in Mecca – to signify the unity of God. As late as the 14th century, Islamic scholar Taqi al-Din Ibn Taymiyya, whose writings influenced the Wahhabi movement in Arabia, ruled that sacred Islamic sites are to be found only in the Arabian Peninsula, and that in Jerusalem, there is not a place one calls sacred, and the same holds true for the tombs of Hebron. It wasn't until the late nineteenth century – incidentally when Jews started immigrating to Palestine – that some Muslim scholars began claiming Muhammad tied his horse to the Western Wall and associated Muhammad's purported night journey with the Temple Mount.

Scientists are to be permitted to use tissue from dead people to create cloned human stem cells for research, under a legal change put forward by the government. Health ministers have proposed that laboratories should be allowed to use stored human tissue to create cloned embryonic stem cells without the explicit consent of the tissue donor. This would allow research to be done on tissue donated for medical research as long as 30 years ago. Scientists would also be able to use cells from people who have died since they donated their tissue or who cannot be contacted. Many laboratories have banks of stored tissue which act as DNA libraries that can play a vital role in finding cures for serious disorders such as diabetes and motor neurone disease. Ministers have until now insisted that scientists contact tissue donors to gain explicit consent before DNA can be used to create cloned embryonic stem cells. Ministers have tabled an amendment to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill, now passing through parliament, which would allow stored tissue and cells to be used without the explicit consent of donors. The amendment, which is expected to be supported by most MPs, will be debated this week.

MUSLIM NATIONS

EZEKIEL 38:1-12
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog,(RULER) the land of Magog,(RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW)and Tubal,(TOBOLSK) and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW) and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws,(GOD FORCES THE MUSLIMS TO MARCH) and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia,(IRAN,IRAQ) Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer,(GERMANY) and all his bands; the house of Togarmah (TURKEY)of the north quarters, and all his bands:(SUDAN,AFRICA) and many people with thee.
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.(RUSSIA-EGYPT AND MUSLIMS)
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

ISAIAH 17:1
1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

PSALMS 83:3-7
3 They (ARABS,MUSLIMS) have taken crafty counsel against thy people,(ISRAEL) and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:(TREATIES)

7 Gebal, and Ammon,(JORDAN) and Amalek;(SYRIA) the Philistines (PALESTINIANS) with the inhabitants of Tyre;(LEBANON)

EZEKIEL 39:1-8
1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog,(LEADER OF RUSSIA) and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech (MOSCOW) and Tubal: (TUBOLSK)
2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts,(RUSSIA) and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands,( ARABS) and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog,(NUCLEAR BOMB) and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.

JOEL 2:3,20,30-31
3 A fire(NUCLEAR BOMB) devoureth before them;(RUSSIA-ARABS) and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army,(RUSSIA,MUSLIMS) and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.(SIBERIAN DESERT)
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.(NUCLEAR BOMB)
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Ahmadinejad says Israel will disappear JUNE 2,08

Criminal and terrorist Zionist regime has reached the end of its work, Iranian president tells foreign guests marking 19th anniversary of death of country's late revolutionary leader. Satanic power of United States faces destruction, he adds Reuters Published: 06.02.08, 14:36 / Israel News

Iran's president said on Monday Israel would soon disappear off the map and that the satanic power of the United States faced destruction, in his latest verbal attack on the Islamic Republic's arch-foes. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was speaking at a gathering of foreign guests marking this week's 19th anniversary of the death of Iran's late revolutionary leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, in 1989, the official IRNA news agency said.

Another Attack

You should know that the criminal and terrorist Zionist regime which has 60 years of plundering, aggression and crimes in its file has reached the end of its work and will soon disappear off the geographical scene, he said.Turning to the United States, he said the era of decline and destruction of its satanic power had begun and added: The bell on the countdown of the destruction of the empire of power and wealth has begun to ring.Opposition to Israel is a fundamental principle in Shiite Muslim Iran, which backs Palestinian militants opposed to peace with the Jewish state.A 2005 statement by Ahmadinejad saying that Israel should be wiped off the map outraged the international community. In April, a senior Iranian army commander said Iran will respond to any military attack from Israel by eliminating it, in comments condemned by Washington. The United States, which severed ties with Iran shortly after its 1979 Islamic revolution, is leading efforts to isolate Tehran over its disputed nuclear program. Some analysts have speculated that Israel might attack Iran to stop its nuclear activities, which the West fears are a front for weapons development. Iran, which does not recognize Israel, insists it wants nuclear technology only for electricity.Iran, the world's fourth-largest oil producer, says it has developed ballistic missiles able to hit Israel and US bases in the region.Washington says it wants a diplomatic resolution to the nuclear dispute but has not ruled out military action if that fails. Tehran insists it will not bow to Western pressure.

IAEA demands full disclosure from Iran, sends team to Syria
VIENNA, June 2 (AFP) Jun 02, 2008

UN atomic watchdog chief Mohamed ElBaradei on Monday urged full disclosure from Iran over its nuclear programme and said he was sending experts to Syria to probe allegations of a secret nuclear reactor. In his opening address to the summer meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency's 35-member board of governors, ElBaradei said it was time for Tehran to come clean over its past and present nuclear activities -- particularly allegations that it hid key information about weaponisation.Noting that the IAEA had spent the past five years seeking to verify Iran's nuclear ambitions, ElBaradei said time was running out. While substantial progress has been made ... it is essential that the agency be able to reach a conclusion regarding the nature of Iran's programme at the earliest possible date, he said. This depends primarily on Iran demonstrating the necessary transparency and providing full disclosure. I again urge them to be fully forthcoming in this regard.ElBaradei also announced that UN inspectors would visit Syria from June 22-24 to investigate allegations that Damascus was building an undeclared nuclear reactor until it was destroyed in an Israeli air raid last September.I look forward to Syria's full cooperation in this matter, he said.

ElBaradei criticised Israel for attacking the site before the IAEA had a chance to inspect it, and the United States for waiting until April to pass on intelligence suggesting that the reactor had a military purpose and was built with North Korea's help.It is deeply regrettable that information concerning the installation was not provided to the agency in a timely manner and that force was resorted to unilaterally before the agency was given an opportunity to establish the facts, he said. The US intelligence included photographs taken inside the reactor showing construction of the shield for the reactor core, and control rods and refueling ports on top of the reactor. The reactor and the building that housed it were similar in design to the North Korean reactor at Yongbyon, which produces plutonium, the US officials said.Damascus immediately rejected the allegations as ridiculous. ElBaradei reminded board members that the IAEA was the competent authority to investigate allegations that any country signed up to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty might be involved in illicit nuclear activities. He also stressed that Syria had an obligation to report the planning and construction of any nuclear facility to the IAEA.

We are therefore treating this information with the seriousness it deserves, he said.In his latest report on Iran, circulated to the IAEA board last week, ElBaradei said Tehran could be hiding key information about weaponisation work, as well as defying UN demands to suspend uranium enrichment.Iran insists its atomic programme is entirely peaceful, but western countries, and the United States in particular, are convinced the Islamic republic is covertly seeking to build a nuclear bomb.ElBaradei told Monday's meeting it was regrettable that we have not made the progress we had hoped for with respect to one remaining major issue, namely clarification of the cluster of allegations and the secretariat's questions relevant to possible military dimensions to Iran's nuclear programme. The United States, France, Britain, Russia and China and Germany have drafted a refreshed package of incentives to persuade Tehran to suspend its enrichment activities. But Iran insists that it has an inalienable right to enrich and has pressed ahead with its attempt to master the technology. According to intelligence gathered by 10 different countries and passed on to the IAEA, Iran had been carrying out weaponisation studies until just a few years ago. Iran has repeatedly dismissed the intelligence as fabricated.

EU accused of step back in transparency
HONOR MAHONY JUNE 2,08 Today @ 09:15 CET

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS – The EU's transparency watchdog will today strongly criticise the European Commission's commitment to openness, saying its recent proposals on document access represent a step backwards. At a hearing in parliament on Monday afternoon (2 June) to discuss the proposed overhaul of public access to document rules, EU ombudsman Nikiforos Diamandouros will say: The commission's proposals would mean access to fewer, not more, documents and that the new code ignores the lessons of the past. The commission unveiled its document access overhaul last April (Photo: EUobserver.com)The ombudsman, who oversees EU citizens' relations with the European institutions, has not been able to "identify any of the commission's proposals that would result in more documents being accessible than at present. The criticism comes a month after the commission unveiled proposals to update a 2001 law on document transparency that has been subject to strong criticism by MEPs and NGOs for being too restrictive.

But according to the ombudsman, while some proposals would make fewer documents accessible, others are based on contestable understandings of [EU] case law and some entirely new proposals are difficult to reconcile with a genuine commitment to ensuring the widest possible access to documents. The proposal to change the definition of a document - so that only papers that have been formally sent to people or otherwise registered could be said to be a document - means that the commission will effectively decide what documents are covered by the new law.In addition, the commission has proposed that documents containing information about natural or legal persons that are part of an investigation should never be available to the public - a move that goes beyond the current situation.

Betrayal of promises to citizens

The third main proposal in the commission's transparency regulation is also condemned by Mr Diamandouros. The commission is proposing that all documents - currently it is only internal documents - involved in the period before a formal commission decision is made be exempted from public scrutiny. The effect of this would be to give the commission discretion to share documents informally with a limited number of favoured external recipients of its choice without risk that these documents will later be legally available to the public. The ombudsman's has some praise for the fact that the commission's proposal will cover citizens everywhere and no longer just in the EU and that Brussels is calling for clearer procedural rules in all institutions on making documents available. But overall, he says they betray promises to citizens, civil society and representative associations made in the Treaty of Lisbon.

Mounting up

This is not the only criticism the new proposals have received. UK civil liberties organisation Statewatch last month called aspects of the reforms highly retrogressive. The ombudsman is calling on MEPs to play an active role in shaping the new legislation. However, the European Parliament's own standing on transparency took a blow earlier this year when MEPs voted down a proposal to make auditors' reports public as a matter of principle.A recent auditor's report, unavailable to the public, revealed cases of MEPs abusing their monthly staff allowances.

Rising prices set to overshadow tenth birthday of ECB
LUCIA KUBOSOVA Today @ 09:29 CET JUNE 2,08

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - The European Central Bank (ECB) is today hosting a birthday party to celebrate ten years of its monetary control over the single currency area, but the bash is overshadowed by pressures from rising inflation and forecasts of sluggish economic growth forecasts.A number of European political heavyweights are gathering in Frankfurt on Monday (2 June) for a ceremony to mark the founding of the ECB and the European System of Central Banks on 1 June 1998.The heads of all three top EU institutions – the commission, parliament and Slovenian presidency are set to participate - along with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and eurozone finance ministers who will kick off their regular meeting in Germany before meeting up with their other EU counterparts in Luxembourg. As with several other earlier events celebrating the tenth anniversary of the euro, it is expected that party attendees will praise the ECB's monetary policy while noting the future challenges for the common currency, which covers 15 of the 27 member states.

Securing price stability

The theme most likely to be repeated in the speeches is the importance of the bank's role in securing price stability – its main goal according to the EU treaties - which was also historically the raison d'etre of the bank's model, Germany's Bundesbank. But there are two wrinkles in such a positive assessment. A majority of citizens in eurozone countries still associate the euro with rising prices, and monetary union is currently struggling with historic levels of inflation, although mainly for external reasons.Despite a drop in the eurozone's annual inflation rate in April to 3.3 percent, down slightly from a record 3.6 percent in March, early figures for May released on Friday pointed to yet another bounce back to 3.6 percent, mainly due to rising oil prices. Frankfurt's goal is to keep annual inflation below but close to two percent.

Refusing to cap oil taxes

The issue is set to dominate today's eurogroup gathering. Eurozone chairperson, Luxembourg premier and finance minister Jean Claude Juncker, expressed worries over these trends in several media interviews over the weekend. That worries me a lot because it is those with the least resources who are the most heavily penalised by inflation which remains, in relative terms, at a very high level, he told France Inter radio. But he rejected a proposal suggested by French President Nicolas Sarkozy for the EU to cap oil taxes in response to the rise in oil prices, arguing the idea goes against the general spirit [of the EU].Mr Juncker was referring to a principle agreed by the bloc's finance ministers in 2005 that states that the EU should not introduce fiscal measures to counteract oil price hikes. Still, he added, I don't want to kill the debate. We will undoubtedly discuss France's proposals. That is what economic co-ordination in the euro zone is about.Due to the remaining risks of further inflation increases and despite concerns over a slowing economy in the euro area, the ECB's governing council is expected to leave its main interest rates at four percent on Thursday (5 June).

THIS IS SAD THAT ISRAELIS ARE PERSECUTING JEWS THAT BELIEVE IN JESUS AS THE MESSIAH, BECAUSE JESUS IS GOING TO BE RULING FROM JERUSALEM AS THE TRUE MESSIAH VERY SHORTLY NOW.

Stan, as you will read below, in the United States, Canada, and other countries, Messianic Jews do not go through the persecution that they do in Israel.JUNE 2,08

According to Mark Bixler of CNN, the Israeli Police are now investigating the burning of hundreds of New Testaments in Or-Yehuda, a city near Tel Aviv. This incident has alarmed advocates of religious freedom around the world. Police Investigators said that they will review photographs and video footage of New Testament Bibles being set ablaze, Micky Rosenfeld, a police spokesman said. The AP, Jerusalem Post, and other Israeli media outlets quoted Uzi Aharon, the Deputy Mayor of Or-Yehuda, stating that he was the organizer of Orthodox religious students who burned hundreds of copies of the New Testaments. Uzi Aharon also gave interviews to Russian, Italian, and French television stations soon afterwards explaining to their highly offended Christian audiences how he had not meant for the New Testaments to be burned. He did his best to try to undo the damage caused by the media’s portrayal and photographs of the Orthodox Jewish students burning the New Testaments.

The event has brought a lot of concern to the Israeli Messianic leadership which oversees Israel's minority population of Messianic Jews. We are a community of 8,000-10,000 of us who are spread throughout the country in about 80 congregations where we believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Jewish Messiah. As well, Evangelical Christians in Canada, the U.S., Europe and around the world have also shown their support by sending emails. CBN, and other Christian organizations have also publicized what has taken place in the past two weeks. Calev Myers is an Israeli lawyer and the founder of the Jerusalem Institute of Justice Calev Myers, an attorney for many of the Israeli Messianic organizations and individual Jewish Believers in Israel, has told CNN that he is filing a formal complaint with authorities.

CNN quoted Calev as saying: I hope the people who are responsible for breaking the law will be indicted and prosecuted. Calev and other Messianic Jewish leadership do not believe that Israeli Messianic Jewish missionaries distributed the New Testaments. Messianic Jewish organizations distribute Bibles in a sensitive way, and we do not dump them in people’s mailboxes/front door steps - as was done in this case. Calev Myers explained that the complaint he is filing asks the police to investigate possible violations of two Israeli laws. The first law forbids the destruction or desecration of any religious icon or item that a group holds sacred. The second law forbids an Israeli from speaking publicly in any way that offends or humiliates any other religion. Calev Myers explained that both of these laws were put in place to prevent the incitement of religious violence. In the email that we sent to you last week Stan, we explained how the New Testament book burnings have followed recent events of discrimination against Messianic Jews in Israel. There was the bombing targeted at the home of a Messianic Jewish leader in Ariel. The son opened up a Purim package which detonated a bomb and severely injured him. Apparently this was done by radical Orthodox Jews. A number of Yeshiva rabbis and religious organizations boycotted a Messianic Jewish teenager who was in the National Bible Competition. Simply because she believed in Yeshua, they did not want her competing in the Bible Quiz competition. And not too long ago, a Messianic congregational building in Jerusalem was set ablaze by arsonists.

Calev Myers, Founder of the Jerusalem Institute of Justice
and Zev Isaacs, Founder of Bibles For Israel CNN also interviewed the Anti-Defamation League about the New Testament burning in which they were quoted as saying: We condemn this heinous act as a violation of the basic Jewish principles and values, said Rabbi Eric J. Greenburg, director of interfaith policy for the Anti-Defamation League. It is essential that we respect the sacred texts of other faiths. The Jewish people can never forget the tragic burning of sacred Jewish volumes at many points in history.
While there may be legitimate concerns of proselytizing, these matters must be addressed through the proper legal channels, Greenburg said in a statement. It is unacceptable and not legitimate to burn someone else's sacred texts.Stan, stand with us Messianic Jews who live in Israel and who are standing up for the Gospel.

Hatikva is a new political party in Israel that proudly and forthrightly stands for Zionism. Hatikva vigorously believes that the entirety of the Land of Israel is the homeland of the Jewish people, and that we must never sacrifice even one inch of our birthright. Hatikva believes in a strong Israel that will not appease its enemies but instead will unapologetically exercise its military power to protect the Jewish people. The American Friends of Hatikva, although legally independent, shares the same principles as the Hatikva party in Israel and is devoted to educating the people about the need for a strong Zionism.

We invite you to visit our website www.HatikvaUSA.org and to join and support the American Friends of Hatikva. JUNE 2,08THE FUTURE IS IN OUR HANDS by Arieh Eldad, one of the prime movers behind this party

If the Zionist revolution was intended to bring normality to the Jewish people, it was destined to fail. The Jewish people is not a normal people. There is no historical parallel to a people with four thousand years of continuous history. You may say that in Egypt there are antiquities that predate our Patriarchs, but there is no connection between the Egypt of the Pharaohs and the Egypt of today. It is not the same people, the same language, the same religion, or the same culture. You may say the Chinese culture is more ancient than ours. But the Chinese remained in their land and were not destroyed and exiled twice and did not return from far away exiles to re-establish themselves. The Jewish people is not a normal people. In the same way, Judaism is not a normal religion. There is no parallel to the unbreakable tie between the Jewish religion and nationality. And our movement of national liberation – Zionism – is unlike any other national liberation movement of the past centuries. African or European peoples who fought for their freedom had to eject foreign rulers and declare independence. The liberation movement of the Jewish people had a double task: to gather the exiles of Israel from around the world and to free its land from foreign rulers. So Zionism is not a normal liberation movement.

Considering these three anomalies, is it any wonder the Jewish people’s desire for normalization was not realized with the return to Zion? We did become productive: no longer just middlemen, brokers, traders, and bankers; the Jews in the land of Israel are also soldiers and farmers and industrialists. But if Zionism hoped to take the Jews out of exile and raise a generation in the land free of oppression and the complexes of exile, we can say we have succeeded in taking the Jews out of exile but not in taking that exile out of the Jews. Apparently 2000 years of persecution, forced conversion, destruction, expulsion and exile created a new species of Jew who is a professional survivor. Most of those who carried the genes of Bar Kochba fell on the way. The genes of Josephus Flavius keep popping up on the stage of history in characters such as the leaders of the Judenrat, Kastner, those who turned Jewish underground fighters over the British in The Season, those who sank the Irgun arms ship Altalena, and the most recent heroes who uprooted and exiled the residents of Gaza in what they called a disengagement. A direct line leads from Josephus Flavius to Mordechai Vanunu and Ilan Pape. A direct line leads from Aristobulus, the Hasmonean king who opened the gates of Jerusalem to Pompeii of Rome in order to survive the war with his brother Horkynus the Hasmonean, to Ehud Olmert who is ready to open the gates of Jerusalem to the Arab enemy in order to survive politically and win support from the world’s sole superpower.

So Zionism has failed in its mission of normalization. But Zionism had set other goals, first among them saving the Jewish people from the impending disaster. Herzl, who heard the Parisian mob, students of Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, yelling Death to the Jews during the Dreyfus trial, understood that the Emancipation was not the solution to the problem of the Jews in exile. And Herzl understood that if the existence of the Jews in exile could not be guaranteed and Jews were to be saved, the exile needed to end and they needed to have a state that would be a safe refuge from anti-Semitism.

Zionism also failed in this mission. It came too late. The destruction of the Jews of Europe preceded the establishment of the state. And those who say that the destruction of the Jews contributed to international support for a Jewish state are right.

Zionism had to fail in order for its goal to be achieved. But Zionism was too late for the six million who rose in smoke and whose ashes fertilize the fields of Europe.

As much as the gentiles who refused to give Herzl a charter over the land of Israel are to blame, so are the Jews who refused to unite and redeem themselves. The Haredim waited for a messiah to come from heaven, the Bundists preferred Yiddish and exile, the socialists wanted to redeem to the world and thought that when economic classes would be abolished, the Jewish problem would also be solved. All of them vigorously fought Herzl. And the Zionism of those who followed in Herzl’s path but were unable to free themselves from the chains of exile, who preferred one more dunam and one more goat and one more rally against the White Paper to taking up arms and expelling all foreign rulers from Israel – they also bear responsibility for the failure to save the Jews of Europe and for the State of Israel coming too late and not being a safe haven when it was needed.

But even now after the State of Israel has been established, it does not seem a safe haven for the Jews. Over 23,000 Jews have been killed in Eretz Israel since the modern return to Zion, solely because they were Jews. In no other country have so many Jews been killed solely because they were Jews. So perhaps our “safe haven” is not such a safe haven. Perhaps the Jews are safer living in the United States, France or Iran.

Anyone attempting to tally such an accounting of deaths of course ignores the six million murdered in Europe. And the hundreds of thousands slaughtered in riots and pogroms and crusades, from Siberia to Arabia, Ethiopia to Spain. The State of Israel was established so Jews could determine their own fate, to fight and defeat their enemies, not to be human dust but to turn their enemies to dust. The State of Israel can fulfill this mission and therefore at least in this regard is the realization of generations of dreams. But as long as its leaders are of the race of Flavius, they may turn Israel over to the worst of its enemies and fail to prevent the destruction now threatened by Iran, and they may themselves bring the Arab enemy into the country and into Jerusalem. They are prepared for the first time in the history of the Jewish people to recognize the right of another people to establish a state in Eretz Israel.

From this point of view, perhaps it would have been better if a Jewish state recognizing the right of another people to Eretz Israel had not been established? Perhaps it would be preferable if a state of six million Jews had not been established, if its leaders are incapable of facing the enemies who want to destroy it, and are Jews of exilic character who prefer that the world fight for us and stop Iran with sanctions and pressure, and they are blind and deaf and do not see what is clear to all: the leaders of Iran act as suicide bombers who are prepared to sacrifice their lives in order to destroy Israel? Perhaps it would be better if the largest concentration of Jews in the world had not been established if its leaders are incapable of preventing its destruction?

No! The law of exile is a law of destruction or conversion. Exile ends either in gas chambers and crematoria, or a golden exile with intermarriage rates above 50 percent. In Eretz Israel, where a state of the Jews has been established, a Jewish State can be established. A state of Jews daring to rise as one and not a state of Flaviuses. A state prepared to deal with its enemies and wipe them out, and not look to the gentiles for salvation. Not even to the good gentiles known as friends of Israel, who are ready to promise that if Israel is attacked with nuclear weapons, Iran will be destroyed. We do not want to be an excuse for the destruction of Iran. We want to and we can liberate Eretz Israel from any foreign ruler, whoever it may be. Not because the land is necessary for security. Eretz Israel is our homeland, not a safe haven. It is our only home even when it is under fire. We must and can return Zionism to its forgotten goal – the liberation of the homeland. Zionism is not a mistake. It’s just that those carrying the flag have wearied and have become post-Zionists, if not outright anti-Zionists.

After 2000 years, our fate is once again in our hands. If our leaders have gone bad and are trying to push us into the abyss, we have no one to complain to but ourselves. It is in our hands to guarantee the existence of the State of Israel, and turn it from the state of the Jews into a Jewish State. To turn the State of Israel into the Kingdom of Israel.PLEASE SUPPORT HATIKVA Ted Belman
