NUMBERS 8:1 - 12:16
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.
3 And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.
4 And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.
5 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
6 Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
7 And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.
8 Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.
9 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:
10 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:
11 And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD.
12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.
13 And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD.
14 Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.
15 And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.
16 For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
17 For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.
18 And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.
19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.
20 And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.
21 And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.
22 And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.
23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
24 This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:
25 And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more:
26 But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.

NUMBERS 9:1-23
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
2 Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season.
3 In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it.
4 And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover.
5 And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
6 And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:
7 And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel?
8 And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you.
9 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
10 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD.
11 The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
12 They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.
13 But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.
14 And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.
15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.
16 So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
17 And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.
18 At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.
19 And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and journeyed not.
20 And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.
21 And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
22 Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
23 At the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed: they kept the charge of the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

NUMBERS 10:1-36
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.
3 And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
4 And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.
5 When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.
6 When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.
7 But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.
8 And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.
9 And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
10 Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.
11 And it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.
12 And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.
13 And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
14 In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
15 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethaneel the son of Zuar.
16 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.
17 And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.
18 And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.
19 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
20 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
21 And the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and the other did set up the tabernacle against they came.
22 And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies: and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.
23 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
24 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.
25 And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, which was the rereward of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
26 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran.
27 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.
28 Thus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.
29 And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel.
30 And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.
31 And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes.
32 And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the LORD shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.
33 And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days' journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days' journey, to search out a resting place for them.
34 And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.
35 And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.
36 And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto the many thousands of Israel.

NUMBERS 11:1-35
1 And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.
2 And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.
3 And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them.
4 And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:
6 But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.
7 And the manna was as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the colour of bdellium.
8 And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.
9 And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.
10 Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.
11 And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me?
12 Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?
13 Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.
14 I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.
15 And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favour in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.
16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee.
17 And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.
18 And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.
19 Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;
20 But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?
21 And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.
22 Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?
23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD'S hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.
24 And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.
25 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
26 But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.
27 And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.
28 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
29 And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD'S people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!
30 And Moses gat him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.
31 And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day's journey on this side, and as it were a day's journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.
32 And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.
33 And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.
34 And he called the name of that place Kibrothhattaavah: because there they buried the people that lusted.
35 And the people journeyed from Kibrothhattaavah unto Hazeroth; and abode at Hazeroth.

NUMBERS 12:1-16
1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
2 And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.
3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
4 And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
12 Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.
13 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.
14 And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.
15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.
16 And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.

PROPHETS PORTION

ZECHARIAH 3:1-4:7
1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
6 And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,
7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
10 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.

ZECHARIAH 4:1-7
1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep,
2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

NEW TESTAMENT PORTION

JOHN 19:31-37
31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.
36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

HEBREWS 3:1-6
1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

DANIEL 7:23-25
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

REVELATION 17:3,7,9-10,12,18
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

It is ironic, as Daniel Estulin points out, that America’s fledgling democracy established the Logan act in 1799 to protect itself from Americans fostering foreign associations to intrude in our affairs. Named after Dr. George Logan, a pro Republican and prescient Quaker from Pennsylvania, it has remained almost unchanged and unfortunately unused since its passage, though it reads with great relevance in the shadows of the New World Order’s operatives.It states, Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.In fact, it is amazing that the Bilderberg Group has met since 1954 with funding from the CIA and is made up of the world’s most powerful people, notably US and world heads of state, made and in the making, numerous international corporate CEOs from business, banking, industry, media, as well as world royalty, plus high-ranking members of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Tri-Lateral Commission.

The Bilderberg goal has been to shape policy that deeply concerns the United States and its citizens in regards to innumerable foreign alliances without providing US citizens any awareness of same. Ever noticed how the environmental crises and economic crises both prey upon the green of it all? The color of greed, jealousy, disease, Federal Reserve notes and trees. The marketing of both manufactured green crises have hinged around selling us on tightening our belts and buckling down for the big one.These global warming activists exemplify the new-fascism under Obama: the integration of environmentalism, green business and national service. The earth sign is integrated with the banker’s mantra too big to fail while the green helmets clearly sell the idea of service– service to the cap & trade profit schemes owned & operated by global warming’s biggest fearmonger, Al Gore.This blend of PR and predictive programming is clearly in play with Wal-Mart. Spokesmen in the MarketWatch article Wal-Mart to tap into new normal thrift consumer mentality makes clear that austerity is not only an economic imperative but also sustainable. The similarity to the buzzwords used to push environmental policies is no accident.Wal-Mart, one of the only firms anywhere to come out of the financial crisis stronger, made clear that its surge in new customers, traffic and sales it has gained from the economic downturn are permanent and sustainable.Chief executive Mike Duke added, There’s a new normal in which people want to save money.

Under the new era of economic degradation and depression austerity, life under slavemart is the new norm. The pride of American small business is over; consumer comforts too will be reduced; cheap plastic goods are the only affordable goods in this green age.Webster Tarpley, author of Obama: The Postmodern Coup and Barack H. Obama: The Unauthorized Biography, warned months ahead of action by the Obama Administration that his entire agenda would be centered around the buzzword austerity–the idea that Americans must sacrifice in every way in the name of promised progress. Often enough, many initiatives will generate support under the green cover– anything green must be good.This has proved true in the issues emerging from the Obama-era– the environmentalism, (banker-led) economic and service movements. Curiously, the common thread is sold through an appeal towards common sacrifice.

ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENTALISM

The Club of Rome was clearly the most active think tank in the 1970s pushing the agenda for a reduced standard of living in the West. These elites have insisted in their key publication The Limits of Growth that Americans and Europeans must embrace drastic population reduction quotas, and that its people use and consume less in the name of its carefully-framed sustainability crisis. The fact that the group fearmongered then about global cooling and now fearmongers about global warming should be an indicator that its environmental concerns are phony. The green cover is a ruse disguising the elite’s push for severe eugenics policies. Volcker’s policy of de-industrialization in the 70s and 80s hinged on bringing America’s standard down.
We have all been told by the elites that our standard of living will be brought down. There’s little speculating that it has been an intentional plan; they’ve announced it all throughout the 1970s. The Club of Rome and top economists like Paul Volcker alike have both made clear that the limits of growth have been reached, and that first world westerners must be put back in balance– with cold scientific calculating– to the world’s mean (average).In 1979, Paul Volcker, then Chairman of the Federal Reserve during the Carter Administration, openly stated:The standard of living of the American worker has to decline,Volcker said.I don’t think you can escape that.Volcker was at the helm of the Trilateral Commission’s alarming Project 1980s plan for the controlled disintegration of the U.S. economy. A controlled disintegration in the world economy is a legitimate object for the 1980s… it was not by chance that starting the week of Oct. 6-12, 1979, Volcker began raising interest rates, by raising the federal funds rate and increasing certain categories of reserve requirements for commercial banks. He kept pushing rates upward, until, by December 1980, the prime lending rate of U.S. commercial banks reached 21.5%.Mike Duke, Wal-Mart Chief Executive, sounded an alarm signaling America’s shift to the world mean. The economic crisis has brought a fundamental shift in consumer attitudes and behavior.Wal-mart emphasizes that its new normal customer experience would center around remodeling, continued low prices, as well as focus on reducing waste and other sustainability efforts.What is good for the economic goose is good for the environmental gander; and what is good for the environment must be good for green entrepreneurs as well.

The double-speak of the phony environmental agenda for a reduced standard of living in the Western world is used to mutually reinforce any dictates coming from the financial sector or any calls for sacrifice under environmental pretexts. Because westerners use and consume too much, and therefore endanger the environment, carbon cuts or other measures must be accepted by all. The industrial base has destroyed been by the globalization model in which jobs are shipped out the back door and transferred to underdeveloped, autocratic slave wage nations. It’s no coincidence that the de-industrialization benefits firms with the Wal-Mart model the most. Today, in the name of the global warming crisis, the remaining factories are to be choked by cap & trade laws, while the profits of the cap & trade are transferred to an Al Gore owned & operated chain of interlocking for-profit green derivatives scheme firms that specializes in carbon credits trading.

De-industrialist Volcker has now been brought back in the Obama-Federal Reserve Administration and serves on the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board. Volcker has long headed firms representing both the Rothschild family and the Rockefeller family and is equally dedicated to their schemes in both banking and the green movement. Now, after Wall Street looters have been given extensive bailouts, collapsing car giants are required to shift major production to specialized green cars that have been little embraced by the public and show little hope of producing growth.Volcker’s gloomy calls for austerity have demonstrated that the policies of former Federal Reserve chairmen such as himself, Alan Greenspan and little Timmy Geithner, will not pull us out of this crisis under any easy terms. Volcker spent the opening weeks of the Obama Administration warning that this could be worse than the Great Depression.Wonder why the Federal Reserve greenback continues to lose value?

NATIONAL SERVICE

The agenda for mandatory servitude (or strongly-encouraged ‘volunteerism’) isn’t just the red jackets of City Year. Obama has made clear in speeches that he wants to form an energy corps to enforce emissions limitations on vehicles and to enforce power and lighting modifications in homes. All Americans will be asked to do more to use less.
Top presidential advisor David Gergen has helped push a coalition of more than 70 more-than-profit service groups– that cover the gamut of environmentalism, energy, green initiatives, education, business-ventures, emergency corps and more. Gergen has led the initiative for the service movement to seize upon the September 11th anniversary activities; now City Year and other groups are preparing to mobilize on 9/11/2009. During the 2008 election season, both candidates Obama and McCain attended a 9/11 ServiceNation forum which David Gergen helped put on. Obama used that platform to fully push the national service program he developed with WH Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.Everyone will have skin in the game, Obama told the nation’s viewers, as he called for young and old alike to sacrifice and serve their government. Obama elaborated on a desperately needed civilian expeditionary force to supplement military maneuvers in Afghanistan and other interventions. When asked about his motivation for service by fellow service-advocate, host and editor of TIME, Richard Stengel, Obama told us that it was 9/11 that gave him a vision for widespread national service. Politicians should have exploited the nation’s sentiment to help out, Obama assured us, instead of President Bush’s call for Americans to go shopping.

Curiously, David Gergen exploited the same expression at a Harvard lecture on service, blasting the Bush administration for wasting the 9/11 crisis on shopping when it could have been used to stimulate widespread service. Again, the ploy of using the terminology crisis against cash is surely not emphasized by accident.Green corps have already been organized in many varieties and similar groups. Once it was clear that Obama had the election momentum, CNN continuously covered the O Generation and its amorphous social movement. Footage in The Obama Deception shows two such girls wearing green shirts going door to door. Obama door-knockers have already been used in conjunction with the President’s private-parallel usaservice.org/service.gov, and his administration has only started.Mandatory national service is now being introduced into Congress, after it was stripped from the GIVE Act already passed earlier in his term.

DRESDEN, Germany (Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama expressed hope on Friday of making serious progress in Middle East peacemaking this year and said Israelis and Palestinians had to get serious and make tough compromises.On a visit to Germany, Obama repeated his call for Israel to halt settlement expansion in the West Bank, but he also pushed the Palestinians to improve security and pressed Arab states to match any Israeli peace steps with confidence-building gestures.The Palestinians have to get serious about creating the security environment that is required for Israel to feel confident. Israelis are going to have to take some difficult steps,he said.

Obama, who sees Israeli-Palestinian progress as crucial to repairing the U.S. image in the Muslim world, was speaking a day after delivering a speech in Cairo in which he offered Muslims a new beginning with the United States.Germany is the third stop on a trip which started in Saudi Arabia. On Saturday, he will attend commemorations in France marking the 65th anniversary of the World War Two D-Day landings in France.

I am confident that if we stick with it ... we can make some serious progress this year,Obama said of the peace process at a news conference in Dresden with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.The moment is now for us to act on what we all know to be the truth, which is that each side is going to have to make some difficult compromises.After Dresden, Obama toured the site of the Buchenwald concentration camp, paying homage to the victims of the Holocaust, in which 6 million Jews died.The visit will send a signal to Jerusalem that while he did not visit Israel on his maiden trip to the Middle East, its security is still central to U.S. foreign policy.

To this day we know there are those who insist the Holocaust never happened, a denial of a fact or truth that is baseless, ignorant and hateful. This place is the ultimate rebuke to such thoughts,Obama said, with Merkel and camp survivors Elie Wiesel and Bertrand Herz standing behind him.

UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY

Obama is hugely popular in Germany, but relations between Washington and Berlin have been less than smooth since Obama took office in January. Facing an election in September, Merkel has resisted U.S. pressure to take inmates from Guantanamo and send more troops to Afghanistan. The brevity of Obama's stay in Germany and his decision not to go to Berlin led to German media speculation of a rift, but the president dismissed this as wild speculation.

Mr Purnell is the third cabinet minister to resign in the past three days.

Communities secretary Hazel Blears stepped down on Wednesday, following the recent revelations about MPs' abuses of the expenses system. Home secretary Jacqui Smith said she would go after a government reshuffle, which could take place as early as Friday, according to media reports.Mr Brown might also choose to wait until Monday, when the European elections results will be released, AFP writes.The reshuffle will be closely watched, as it may see other government ministers turn their backs on the premier. Finance minister Alistair Darling and foreign secretary David Miliband have made it clear they would like to keep their posts, so that moving them could have troublesome consequences.Mr Miliband has for now stressed he is not resigning and does not agree with his friend's [James Purnell's] decision,however.

Government falling apart

Reacting to Mr Purnell's move, opposition leader David Cameron said it was a death blow to the government and reiterated calls for an immediate general election.With this resignation, the argument for a general election has gone from being strong and powerful to completely unanswerable,the Conservative leader said.In a deep recession and a political crisis we need a strong united government. Instead we have a government falling apart in front of our eyes.The prospect of a snap general election and a potential Tory victory spells turbulence for Brussels, with Mr Cameron having promised to hold a referendum on the Lisbon treaty and to call for the EU to return powers to London. Meanwhile, senior Labour MP Barry Sheerman told the BBC there should be an internal vote in the party to see if Mr Brown should keep his post.

Trouble Brewing for AIG and Federal Government; Challenge of AIG Bailout Allowed to Proceed

ANN ARBOR, MI - Proclaiming that times of crisis do not justify departure from the Constitution, Federal District Court Judge Lawrence P. Zatkoff allowed the lawsuit against Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and the Federal Reserve Board challenging the AIG bailout to proceed. The lawsuit was filed last December by the Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and attorney David Yerushalmi, an expert in security transactions and Shariah-compliant financing. In his well-written and detailed analysis issued yesterday, Judge Zatkoff denied the request by the Obama administration's Department of Justice to dismiss the lawsuit. The request was filed on behalf of Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and the Federal Reserve Board - the named defendants in the case. In his ruling, the judge held that the lawsuit sufficiently alleged a federal constitutional challenge to the use of taxpayer money to fund AIG's Islamic religious activities. Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, commented, "It is outrageous that AIG has been using taxpayer money to promote Islam and Shariah law, which potentially provides support for terrorist activities aimed at killing Americans. Shariah law is the same law championed by Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban. It is the same law that prompted the 9/11 terrorist attacks on our soil that killed thousands of innocent Americans. We won this skirmish. But the war to stop the federal government from funding Islam and Shariah-compliant financing is far from over.In its request to dismiss the lawsuit, the DOJ argued that the plaintiff in the case, Kevin Murray, who is a former Marine and a federal taxpayer, lacked standing to bring the action. And even if he did have standing, DOJ argued that the use of the bailout money to fund AIG's operations did not violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. The court disagreed, noting, in relevant part, the following:

In this case, the fact that AIG is largely a secular entity is not dispositive: The question in an as-applied challenge is not whether the entity is of a religious character, but how it spends its grant. The circumstances of this case are historic, and the pressure upon the government to navigate this financial crisis is unfathomable. Times of crisis, however, do not justify departure from the Constitution. In this case, the United States government has a majority interest in AIG. AIG utilizes consolidated financing whereby all funds flow through a single port to support all of its activities, including Sharia-compliant financing. Pursuant to the EESA, the government has injected AIG with tens of billions of dollars, without restricting or tracking how this considerable sum of money is spent. At least two of AIG's subsidiary companies practice Sharia-compliant financing, one of which was unveiled after the influx of government cash. After using the $40 billion from the government to pay down the $85 billion credit facility, the credit facility retained $60 billion in available credit, suggesting that AIG did not use all $40 billion consistent with its press release. Finally, after the government acquired a majority interest in AIG and contributed substantial funds to AIG for operational purposes, the government co-sponsored a forum entitled Islamic Finance 101. These facts, taken together, raise a question of whether the government's involvement with AIG has created the effect of promoting religion and sufficiently raise Plaintiff's claim beyond the speculative level, warranting dismissal inappropriate at this stage in the proceedings.Click here to read Judge Zatkoff's entire ruling. The lawsuit, which was filed in December of last year in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, is a constitutional challenge to that portion of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (EESA) that appropriated $40 billion in taxpayer money to fund and financially support the federal government's majority ownership interest in AIG, which engages in Shariah-based Islamic religious activities that are anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Jewish. According to the lawsuit,The use of these taxpayer funds to approve, promote, endorse, support, and fund these Shariah-based Islamic religious activities violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

The lawsuit was brought on behalf of Murray, a former Marine who served honorably in harm's way in Iraq to defend our country against Islamic terrorists. Murray objects to being forced as a taxpayer to contribute to the propagation of Islamic beliefs and practices predicated upon Shariah law, which is hostile to his Christian religion. He is being represented by Thomas More Law Center Trial Counsel Robert Muise and by David Yerushalmi, an associated attorney who is an expert in Shariah law and Shariah-compliant financing, as well as general counsel to the Center for Security Policy.

According to the lawsuit, through the use of taxpayer funds, the federal government acquired a majority ownership interest (nearly 80%) in AIG, and as part of the bailout, Congress appropriated and expended an additional $40 billion of taxpayer money to fund and financially support AIG and its financial activities. AIG, which is now a government owned company, engages in Shariah-compliant financing which subjects certain financial activities, including investments, to the dictates of Islamic law and the Islamic religion. This specifically includes any profits or interest obtained through such financial activities. AIG itself describes Sharia as Islamic law based on the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet [Mohammed].With the aid of taxpayer funds provided by Congress, AIG employs a Shariah Supervisory Committee,which is comprised of the following members: Sheikh Nizam Yaquby from Bahrain, Dr. Mohammed Ali Elgari from Saudi Arabia, and Dr. Muhammed Imran Ashraf Usmani from Pakistan. Dr. Usmani is the son, student, and dedicated disciple of Mufti Taqi Usmani, who is the leading Shariah authority for Shariah-compliant finance in the world and the author of a book translated into English in 1999 that includes an entire chapter dedicated to explaining why a Western Muslim must engage in violent jihad against his own country or government. ANN ARBOR, MI – A federal lawsuit was filed this morning against U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson, Jr. and the Federal Reserve Board to stop all bailout funds from going to American International Group, Inc. (AIG). According to the lawsuit, the U.S. government, through its ownership of AIG, is not only violating the Constitution, but also promoting and financing the destruction of America using American tax dollars.The basis of the lawsuit is that AIG intentionally promotes Shariah-compliant businesses and insurance products, which by necessity must comply with the 1200 year old body of Islamic cannon law based on the Quran, which demands the conversion, subjugation, or destruction of the infidel West, including the United States. To help achieve these objectives and with the aid of federal tax dollars, AIG employs a three-person Shariah Advisory Board, with members from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Pakistan. VIENNA – The U.N nuclear agency on Friday reported its second unexplained find of uranium particles at a Syrian nuclear site, in a probe launched by suspicions that a remote desert site hit by Israeli warplanes was a nearly finished plutonium producing reactor.In a separate report, the International Atomic Energy Agency said Iran continued to expand its uranium enrichment program despite three sets of U.N. Security Council sanctions meant to pressure Tehran into freezing such activities.And it said the growing pace of enrichment is causing it to review its inspection routine so that it can maintain oversight of the process.Iran and Syria are under IAEA investigation — Tehran, since revelations more than six years ago of undeclared nuclear activities that could be used to make weapons, and Syria after Israel bombed a structure in 2006 said by the U.S. to be a reactor built with North Korean help.

But the agency has made little progress for over a year in both cases, and both of the restricted reports made available to The Associated Press on Friday essentially confirmed the status quo — stonewalling by both countries of the two separate IAEA probes.Iran says its nuclear activities are peaceful; Damascus denies hiding any nuclear program.In order for the agency to complete its assessment, Syria needs to be more cooperative and transparent,said the IAEA in a document that detailed repeated attempts by agency inspectors to press for renewed inspections and documents — all turned down by Damascus.Drawing heavily on language of previous reports, the Iran document said Tehran has not cooperated with the agency ... which gives rise to concerns and which need to be clarified to exclude the possibility of military dimensions to Iran's nuclear program.The report noted that Tehran continued to rebuff agency efforts to investigate suspicions the Islamic Republic had at least planned to make nuclear weapons.Without cooperation by the Islamic Republic, the IAEA will not be in a position to provide credible assurance about the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities in Iran,the report said.Syria and Iran are to come under renewed scrutiny when the 35-nation board of the agency meets June 15 to discuss the two reports.While the Syrian report was prepared only for the board members, the one on Iran also was transmitted Friday to the Security Council, which for more than three years has tried to pressure Tehran to give up enrichment and other activities of concern.Tehran says it is exercising its right to develop nuclear power in expanding its enrichment program. But the U.S. other great powers and dozens of additional countries fear Iran might at some point shift from producing low enriched uranium needed for nuclear fuel to making highly enriched matter suitable for use in the core of nuclear warheads.The IAEA's Iran report reflected continued expansion both in the terms of the equipment in use or being set up and the amount of enriched uranium being turned out by those machines — centrifuges that spin uranium gas into enriched material.

Nearly 5,000 centrifuges were processing uranium gas at the Natanz facility as of May 31, said the report, while more than 2,000 others were ready for operation. More than nearly 3,000 pounds — 1,300 kilograms — of low enriched uranium had been produced as of that date, said the more than four-page report.That compares to just over 2,220 pounds (1,000 kilograms) mentioned in the last IAEA report in February an amount that experts and U.S. officials subsequently said was enough to process into enough weapons grade uranium for a nuclear warhead.Commenting on the Iran report, the Washington based Institute for Science and International Security said that at the present pace of production of enriched uranium, Tehran could make two nuclear weapons — should it choose to do so — within eight months.The report said inspectors have told Tehran that given the increased number of ... (centrifuges) being installed and the increased rate of production ... improvements to the containment and surveillance measures are needed. A senior U.N official said the IAEA was considering redirecting surveillance equipment and asking Iranian nuclear staff to change their walking routes through the underground Natanz facility as part of the changes. Reversing the previous U.S. stance, the Obama administration has said it is ready to talk one-on-one with Iranian officials on the nuclear issue. Obama himself has said Tehran has the right to benefit from nuclear power — as long as all proliferation concerns are put to rest. But President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has repeatedly said his country will not negotiate on its right to enrichment.On Syria, the agency said the newest traces of uranium were found after months of analysis in environmental samples taken last year of a small experimental reactor in Damascus.It already reported a similar finding in February at a separate site — at or near the building bombed by Israel more than two years ago. As in the case of the earlier find, the uranium particles are of a type not included in Syria's declared inventory of nuclear material, said the report, saying their origin and potential significance still "needs to be understood.It also said Syria continued to deny cooperation with North Korea in building its nuclear program.

Rowhani asked.The criticism is part of the verbal dueling before the June 12 presidential election, in which Ahmadinejad faces a tough challenge from three other contenders, including two reformists who favor better ties with the West.Using language similar to Rowhani's, the president's main challenger, pro-reform candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi, accused Ahmadinejad of driving Iran toward dictatorship in an election debate on Wednesday.Ahmadinejad said reformists humiliated Iran because they halted all the nuclear work under the 2003 deal.The reformists say this is not true and that only uranium enrichment was stopped. Counterterrorism officials have stated that they believe Al Qaeda terrorists are seeking to align themselves with anti-government groups in the US in order to carry out mass casualty attacks.The suggestion dovetails with recent Department of Homeland security documents that equate with violent terrorists those who champion States’ rights over the authority of the Federal government.Al Qaeda is looking to exploit weaknesses in U.S. border security and also is willing to ally itself with white militia groups or other anti-government entities interested in carrying out an attack inside the United States, according to counterterrorism officials… a report by The Washington Times states.The officials, who spoke only on the condition they not be named, have pointed to a grainy video, first aired by the Arabic news network Al Jazeera in February, of supposed veteran Al Qaeda recruiter Abdullah al-Nafisi saying that the terrorists should essentially hook up with disgruntled militia groups in the US.These militias even think about bombing nuclear plants within the U.S.,al-Nafisi is quoted as saying.May God grant them success, even though we are not white, or even close to it, right? They have plans to bomb the nuclear plant at Lake Michigan. This plant is very important. … May God grant success to one of these militia leaders, who is thinking about bombing this plant. I believe that we should devote part of our prayers to him.al-Nafisi also suggests that biological weapons, capable of killing hundreds of thousands, could be smuggled into the US through tunnels under the Mexican border.Given that the government has made it clear that it sees little difference between white supremacist groups and Americans who still believe in the first and second amendments, this does not bode well.

Of course, there is no actual evidence that any militia group is plotting to blow up nuclear plants or is in league with Al-CIA-da, neither is there any credible evidence that the phantom terrorist group has the capability to carry out a mass biological attack.No matter, what this does is continue to set the precedent for the authorities to blame the next major attack on those that disagree with their policies and the actions in the name of fighting the war on terror.From the reports of White Al Qaeda to homegrown terrorists, we have seen the emergence of an ongoing agenda to foment some kind of connection between foreign terrorists hell bent on attacking and killing Americans, and US citizens protesting and speaking out against the erosion of their constitutional rights. The prime example of this is the recently leaked DHS report, entitled Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment (PDF link).The document characterizes concerns about the economy, unemployment, the loss of U.S. sovereignty and the move towards global government as rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet which itself is defined as a potential tool for terrorists to network, build bombs, and send encrypted messages to each other.It also lists gun owners, veterans, and those opposed to abortion or immigration as potential extremists.A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines rightwing extremism in the United States as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.Republican Representatives have demanded answers from the Department of Homeland Security over the origins of the report. Their demands remain unanswered.A further disturbing DHS security document emerged last month. Entitled Domestic Extremism Lexicon, it shockingly lists the alternative media with other radical extremist groups and implies that people who disagree with the mass media’s version of events are potential domestic terrorists.These reports exist in addition to countless other documents, such as the MIAC report, intended to train police nationwide that supporters of presidential candidates Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, and Bob Barr are militia influenced terrorists.The singling out in this way of Americans who merely talk about the U.S. constitution, the loss of national sovereignty or the erosion of the Bill of Rights, should act as a wake-up call and prompt more people to expose the tyranny unfolding before their eyes.

EUOBSERVER/BRUSSELS – US President Barack Obama is set to have a brief and rather chilly encounter with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Friday (5 June) and the French president one day later, after France failed to invite the British Queen to the upcoming D-Day anniversary.The main focus of president Obama's current foreign trip was the re-conciliation speech with the Muslim world held in Cairo on Thursday, where he set some new tones in the US foreign policy towards the Middle East and adopted a tougher stance on Israel.Against this backdrop, his weekend stops in Germany and France, commemorating the end of the second World War, look rather polite, but distant, especially after French President Nicolas Sarkozy refused to invite the British Queen to the World War II ceremonies he will be hosting on Saturday on the Normandy beaches.Mr Obama's spokesman Robert Gibbs said on Monday the US was working to get the Queen invited, as she was at the previous ceremonies marking 60 years since D-Day. On Tuesday, Prince Charles's office announced he had received a French invitation and would go instead, along with Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Canadian premier Stephen Harper and US filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.In return, the US president, arriving in Paris on Friday evening, where he will be joined by his wife Michelle and two daughters, has declined a dinner invitation with the Sarkozys on top of the Eiffel tower. Woes over the embattled car industry, especially Opel, are also said to be souring the Washington-Berlin relationship.The White House emphasized the private nature of Mr Obama's visit to Germany, mainly aimed at paying homage to the liberation by the US army of the Nazi concentration camp in Buchenwaldt. OTTAWA (Reuters) – Canada's unemployment rate spiked to an 11-year high in May as the worst recession since World War Two led to massive lay-offs in the factories of Ontario, once the country's manufacturing powerhouse.Statistics Canada said on Friday the net job losses in May totaled 41,800 and the unemployment rate jumped to 8.4 percent from 8.0 percent in April.The number of factory jobs in the province of Ontario, the manufacturing hub, fell to its lowest level since 1976 when record-keeping began, the federal agency said with the auto sector suffering the worst losses.The data was worse than expected, triggering an immediate drop in the Canadian dollar. The report comes as manufacturers are being hammered by an unprecedented rise in the value of the currency against the U.S. dollar, which hurts exports.Analysts surveyed by Reuters had predicted employers would drop 33,000 staff from payrolls and the jobless rate would rise to 8.2 percent.Worse than expected report ... Obviously Ontario's economy is taking the brunt of the sharp downturn in exports and the restructuring in the auto sector,said Sal Guatieri, senior economist at BMO Capital Markets.The Canadian dollar weakened slightly to around C$1.1033, or 90.64 U.S. cents, from around C$1.1022, or 90.73 U.S. cents, just before the data.The swift appreciation of the Canadian dollar, which jumped 9.3 percent against the U.S. dollar in May and touched an eight-year high earlier this month -- prompted a warning from the Bank of Canada on Thursday.The bank said the currency's strength could erase any early signs of economic recovery.The currency concerns combined with larger-than-expected job losses, which could pinch consumer spending further, may force the central bank to rethink its view that no unconventional action is required to boost the economy, now that it has cut rates to their lower limit of 0.25 percent.

Still, economists said that moment had not yet arrived.

For the Bank of Canada, I don't know if there's anything all that profound,said Eric Lascelles, chief economics and rates strategist at TD Securities.Lascelles said the unexpected jump in employment in April was an outlier.Anyone was dreaming in Technicolor if they thought we were going to continue to see 36,000 job gains on a monthly basis. The realist would have expected a return back to this sort of outcome, he said.Job losses were all in full-time positions, while part-time employment increased slightly.In addition to factory job losses totaling 58,400 in the month, the transportation and warehousing sector also saw a sharp decline of 15,700 employees. Commission criticises Dutch for early results publication

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS – The European Commission on Friday asked the Dutch authorities for clarification regarding the publication of preliminary results in the Netherlands ahead of 7 June, when the results of all 27 member states are supposed to be announced.Dutch media cited preliminary results on Thursday evening after the Netherlands closed its ballot boxes, indicating an unexpected boost of the far-right, which came in second with almost 17 percent of the votes, while the ruling Christian-Democratic party came in first with 20 percent.The Dutch, along with the UK, were the first to go to the polls, with the Irish and Czechs voting today (5 June) and the rest of the member states over the weekend. Results are supposed to be announced at 10pm on Sunday.There is a ban on the publication of any results ahead of 7 June, be they preliminary, partial or complete. These results cannot be released to the media or pollsters until the elections. This does not prevent the media to take stock and publish private exit polls, EU commission spokesman Amadeu Altafaj said at a press conference on Friday.But he refused to speculate on potential sanctions the commission could apply. In general, any breach of EU legislation is referred to the European Court of Justice.During the last EU elections in 2004, Dutch authorities escaped a so-called infringement procedure after releasing unofficial results. They cited national legislation which requires authorities to release partial results as soon as they are available.The events that took place in the Netherlands yesterday seem not to comply with the spirit of the European elections. They're supposed to go beyond the purely national aspects. If we want citizens to understand the European nature of these elections, we think it's absolutely essential that we release the results in all countries at the same time, also in order not to influence the vote in the countries which have not voted yet – and that at the moment is 25 out of the 27 member states,Mr Altafaj added.

A spokesman for the Dutch ministry of Interior confirmed on Friday that his government was currently discussing with the EU commission and would give explanations on the publication of early results.When we have elections, we consider that voters have the right to find out the results rapidly. It's not a matter of official results, these are early and incomplete counts,Tijs Manten, spokesman for the ministry of Interior told AFP.The final results would be published on Tuesday by the electoral council, he added.An EU source quoted by the French news agency on Thursday said that this time round the commission is seriously considering opening an infringement procedure, unlike in 2004.

Cool reception to compulsory EU sharing of asylum burden

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS – Italy, which has been under fire for its treatment of migrants in particular since in May it forcibly returned hundreds of people intercepted in its territorial waters to Libya, has called for obligatory burden sharing among EU member states when it comes to taking in asylum seekers. On Thursday (4 June), EU interior ministers meeting in Luxembourg discussed how to tackle the increasing number of migrants coming from the Mediterranean, especially to particular member states such as Italy and Malta.Italian interior minister Roberto Maroni, a member of the anti-immigrant Northern League, said before the meeting that proposals made recently by the European Commission in that respect were interesting, but ... not sufficient.We asked for obligatory burden sharing, the proposal foresees a voluntary system ... so those who don't want to needn't take in any refugees, Mr Maroni told journalists.In an interview with the Financial Times on the same day, Lawrence Gonzi, the prime minister of Malta – the small island state of some 400,000 people in the Mediterranean Sea – also re-iterated calls for more help from the European Union.But while Mediterranean countries also including Greece and Cyprus have repeatedly called for more action at EU level, northern member states have been rather reluctant.

Voluntary assistance

A consensus on putting in place an obligatory burden-sharing system seems unlikely for now, the Czech EU presidency indicated.Some ministers ... said they would welcome an obligatory system. On the other hand, other countries have problems with that, Czech interior minister Martin Pecina said at a press conference in Luxembourg.There will be probably some help offered on a voluntary basis,he said, adding that large member states had already indicated they could provide some assistance.EU justice commissioner Jacques Barrot also underlined that all efforts at solidarity will be on voluntary basis.He added that his office would draw up a pilot proposal that will help Malta deal with the increasing number of migrants arriving on its soil.That intra-community relocation programme would also be on a voluntary basis,he stressed.

Meanwhile, some member states insisted that taking in larger numbers of migrants would not deal fundamentally with the issue of Africans coming to Europe.There is no quick fix to the problems at the southern sea border and the Mediterranean as a whole: we have to work with long-term goals, we have to see to it that we develop good co-operation with countries of transit and origin,said Swedish interior minister Tobias Billstrom, whose country will take over the EU's rotating presidency next month.His German counterpart, Wolfgang Schaeuble, said that the situation would not change so long as the main driver of migration, namely poverty in the migrants' countries, is not been addressed.We can't solve the problem of poverty by bringing them all into Europe,Mr Schaeuble was quoted as saying by German news agency DPA.

NGOs slam Italy

The bloc's ministers were also set to discuss measures aimed at creating a common system for asylum-seekers across the EU that were presented by the European Commission in December and approved by MEPs last month.Ahead of the meeting, human right groups called on EU states to set high standards of protection for refugees and asylum seekers, and were especially critical of the actions recently taken by Italy.

States have a legitimate right to control their borders. However, forcibly returning people to countries where they possibly face serious violations of their human rights and may be pushed further back into the hands of their persecutors contravenes international law,the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE) – a network of 69refugee-assisting organisations in 30 European countries, said on Wednesday.Since fundamental rights are part of the EU's founding principles, member states violating them risk a suspension of certain rights derived from membership of the EU,it warned.

Human rights NGO Amnesty International and the European Network Against Racism (ENAR) issued similar statements.The Italian government's decision in May to return migrants to Libya without any assessment of their protection needs ... is in clear violation of international human rights standards and the EU and its member states must urgently call on Italy to put an immediate end to such policies,ENAR said.The EU has the potential and the capacity to develop a Common European Asylum System that could serve as a model to other regions in the world. It is time for the EU to live up to expectations and to ensure that the right to asylum is respected in practice,said Nicolas Beger, director of Amnesty International's EU Office.The discussions on the new European legislation in the field of asylum and refugee protection will not lead to any immediate result, however. Nothing is expected to be given a final approval for many months to come, making it unlikely for the EU to update its asylum policy before 2012.
