EZEKIEL 38:1-23
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog,(RULER) the land of Magog,(RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech (MOSCOW) and Tubal,(TOBOLSK) and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog,(LEADER OF RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW) and Tubal:TOBOLSK)
4 And I (GOD) will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws,(GOD FORCES THE RUSSIA-MUSLIMS TO MARCH) and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia,(IRAN,IRAQ) Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer,(GERMANY) and all his bands; the house of Togarmah (TURKEY) of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.(AFRICAN MUSLIMS,SUDAN,TUNESIA ETC)
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.(RUSSIA-EGYPT AND MUSLIMS)
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages;(ISRAEL) I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 To take a spoil,(OIL IS IN SPOIL) and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?(OIL IS IN SPOIL-I BELIEVE THATS WHY RUSSIA,ARAB/MUSLIMS MARCH TO ISRAEL)
14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?
18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.
19 For in my jealousy and in the fire (atomic bomb) of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.
22 And I will plead against him with pestilence (biological, chemical, nuclear) and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.(NUKED,THEN MIGRATING BIRDS EAT RUSSIA/ARAB/MUSLIMS FLESH)
23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
EZEKIEL 39:1-29
1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog,(LEADER OF RUSSIA) and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech (MOSCOW) and Tubal: (TUBOLSK)
2 And I will turn thee back,(RUSSIA-ARAB MUSLIM ISRAEL HATERS) and leave but the sixth part of thee,(5/6TH OR 300 MILLION DEAD RUSSIAN/ARAB/MUSLIMS I BELIEVE) and will cause thee to come up from the north parts,(RUSSIA) and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands,( ARABS) and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog,(NUCLEAR ATOMIC BOMB) and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.
Investigation-The great looting of Donbass By Michael Bird, Lina Vdovii and Yana Tkachenko- DEC 10,15-EUOBSERVER
Donbass, Today, 09:29-Over 50 percent of large-scale enterprises in the rebel-controlled areas of eastern Ukraine have been closed, destroyed, or seized by the Russian-backed separatists, reveals an analysis of almost 80 representative companies in the region.Donbass is Ukraine’s center of heavy industry and coal mining, which includes Soviet-era metal and fertiliser factories and power stations.Since March 2014, the rebels and supporters of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) have stolen state-owned mines, raided military-owned companies, and seized or looted foreign and Ukrainian-owned businesses, such as retailers Auchan and Metro, staking a claim to all businesses on the occupied territory.Around 23 percent (18 of these companies) have been taken by the rebels and their supporters, 28 percent (22 companies) have closed down. A further four (five percent) are damaged and destroyed, while seven (nine percent) have moved their operations to west Ukraine. This leaves 35 percent (27 major companies) functioning, under rebel patronage and, in most cases, paying taxes to Ukraine.Last year the rebels in the DPR and LPR aimed to nationalise all industry and power generation, and bring it into the lap of the Republic, sever all links with Ukraine and create a self-sufficient state. But while small businesses are destroyed, stolen or forced to register in the new republics, the rebels have left the giant oligarch-owned factories in the region alone. These include some of Ukraine’s largest companies, such as metal manufacturer Metinvest and mining and energy group DTEK, both owned by Ukraine’s richest man Rinat Akhmetov, and the Donetsk Steelworks (DMZ) and the Industrial Union of Donbass (IUD), both owned by Russian investors. The rebels face a challenge to build a functional economy, as the war has created an artificial border that splits roads, railways, power infrastructure, water pipes, and business networks.“It creates a wall where there should be no wall,” says Dmitry Churin, research associate at Kyiv-based Eavex Capital. “They are still our people, it’s still our economy. When we look at the bigger picture, the idea just to ‘cut here’ doesn’t work.”The rebels have left alone the two thermal power stations on the occupied territory, one of which is owned by Akhmetov, and a second by Donbassenergo, a company close to ousted president Victor Yanukovich and 25 percent owned by the Ukrainian state.Kievv also continues to allow the passage of gas and water to the region.-Rebel seizure: mines and shops-Most significant among the companies taken over by the rebels is the Ukrainian State Mining Company’s network of 55 coal mines in the occupied zone. The state lost control of these mines in July 2014 - some are destroyed, others are flooded or closed, but some are functioning. While it is tough for the rebels to run factories without materials, supplies or expertise, they have instead moved into one sector to try and cash in - the high street. The rebels have taken over 152 branches of Ukraine’s leading supermarket retailer ATB, renaming it The First Republican Supermarket in Donetsk and People’s store in Luhansk, causing losses of €273 million to the parent company.French retailer Auchan has also been taken over by a rebel-registered company, as has Ukrainian DIY superstore Epicenter.Meanwhile, American lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret continues to operate under owners which are “unauthorised,” according to the US firm.Nearly all foreign companies have fled from the occupied zone - and most of their assets have been destroyed, looted or occupied. All the banks - Russian, French, Austrian, Italian and Ukrainian - closed in August 2014. The rebels have raided many of the banking premises and blown up ATMs, looking for cash. The only bank open is the rebel-run Republican Central Bank, which has opened mainly in the former premises of Ukrainian banks PrivatBank and Oschadbank. They now have their own-branded ATMs and recently launched a bank card.-Russians not immune-Although Russia is a sponsor of the breakaway republics, its investors have not been immune to intervention. While its banks are closed, mobile communications company Kyivstar, jointly owned by a Norwegian-Russian concern, was raided earlier this year. The rebels used the equipment to create their own communications network, branded Fenix.German cash-and-carry giant Metro has closed three stores, while its fourth, near Donetsk airport, was destroyed in the war. Its products emerge in other stores around the region, due to looting. In July 2014, American agricultural giant Cargill’s $40 million sunflower seed crushing plant in Donetsk was abandoned, then occupied by a group of armed men.A month later, at the height of the conflict, shells blasted holes in the factory. Since then, a Cargill spokesperson said: “We have had no way of knowing the state of the plant for more than a year.”To operate in the DPR and LPR, small and medium-sized businesses need to pay taxes. The republics are creating the semblance of a legal system of governance.-Taxes-“Taxes are more important than nationalisation,” adds one Donetsk business analyst. “It is much simpler and easier for authorities [not to seize a company], but to approach the director or owner and make him pay 20 percent of his profits to the DPR state.”Only companies from Ukraine and Russia are operational on the territory, according to our sample. The information is taken from company data, interviews with companies and employees, and media reports. This article is part of the project “The Donbass Paradox” financed by Journalism Funds for EUobserver. Bob Paulson says he doesn't want racists inside RCMP ranks-CBC – DEC 10,15-YAHOONEWS
RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson conceded before a group of First Nations leaders on Wednesday that there are racists inside his police force, a surprising admission welcomed by indigenous people, who say it is key to addressing the crisis of missing and murdered indigenous women."I understand that there are racists in my police force. I don't want them to be in my police force," Paulson said to chiefs and other First Nations delegates gathered in Gatineau, Que., for an annual three-day meeting organized by the Assembly of First Nations.- Follow @CBCNews on Twitter or by using #MMIW, and read more at CBCNews.ca Aboriginal-- ANALYSIS | Inquiries can fuel change — but only if governments act-- Special Report | Missing and murdered — unsolved cases of indigenous women and girls-Paulson's candid response came after a First Nations chief confronted the top Mountie publicly, urging him to address racism within the force."We encounter racism every single day," said Grand Chief Doug Kelly, leader of the Sto:lo Tribal Council in British Columbia. "Some of the worst racists carry a gun and they carry a badge authorized by you, Commissioner Paulson, to do the work.""We need you to confront racism in the ranks," Kelly said. The exchange between the two men came a day after the federal government announced the first phase in a process that would see a national public inquiry into missing and murdered aboriginal women launched by next spring.Paulson said the RCMP Act, which was updated for the first time in 30 years during the last Parliament, gives him and other commanding officers the authority to handle matters of discipline in a "very decisive" manner.Canada's top Mountie said First Nations communities, many of which are policed by the RCMP, could even call him directly to report racist officers."I would encourage you all, though, to have confidence in the processes that exist, up to and including calling me if you are having a problem with a racist in your jurisdiction or any other problem."We have elaborate systems to bring accountability to those people that are trusted, and in some cases not trusted but who are in power to deliver policing services," Paulson said.Tackling racism key to a public inquiry-Dawn Harvard, the president of the Native Women's Association of Canada, said Paulson's admission is key to addressing the crisis of missing and murdered indigenous women."I think it's about time. This is a problem that we, at the grassroots level, have known this for a very long time," Harvard said in an interview.Harvard said while stories of indigenous women being the targets of abuse at the hands of police have recently come to light in Val-d'Or, Que., indigenous women have been reporting incidents of abuse inside police ranks for years, only to be "brushed off.""If they are going to stand at the top brass and say that they are committed to addressing the issue of missing and murdered indigenous women, then they need to make sure that they're owning that."If we're going to be able to implement real change … to make our women and girls safe, then it has to be a significant part of the inquiry because it is right now a significant part of the problem," Harvard said.AFN Special Chiefs Assembly-- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended the AFN assembly on Tuesday, where he laid out his top 5 priorities for renewing Canada's relation with its indigenous peoples.- Former prime minister Paul Martin addressed the AFN assembly Wednesday, speaking to the chiefs about funding for First Nations education.- NDP Leader Tom Mulcair is scheduled to speak Thursday at 9:30 a.m. ET.- CBCNews.ca will carry Thursday's AFN assembly live.Indigenous women 'shockingly' over-represented-AFN National Chief Perry Bellegarde said it was the first time Paulson had attended the assembly of chiefs and gave him credit not just for showing up but also for staying to address some of the concerns expressed by First Nations leaders such as Kelly."The mere fact that he was there is a positive, positive statement — that he wants to rebuild and repair any kind of damaged relationship that's there between the RCMP and First Nations people," said Bellegarde on CBC New Network's Power & Politics.Bellegarde told CBC host Rosemary Barton that Paulson's admission was a first step in confronting racism head-on."It takes a very big man to do that," said the national chief.Earlier, in his speech to the group, Paulson updated First Nations on the RCMP's efforts to address the crisis of murdered and missing indigenous women."Of course this is nothing short of a national tragedy. The problem is clear and it's settled," Paulson said. "Indigenous women and girls in this country are shockingly over-represented in those classes of Canadians who experience violence, go missing or are murdered." Paulson said the RCMP would listen to the families of missing and murdered indigenous women as the process to launch an inquiry officially gets underway."As we enter this first phase of the inquiry, we will listen to what you say and to what family members say and to what communities say need to be done.""Until you can — as an investigator, as a police officer responding to a case — until you can understand the humanity and the hurt and the emotions that are tied up in these cases, you will not be able to bring justice.""We can do better... and we will do better," Paulson said.Paulson said since the RCMP's last report into missing and murdered indigenous women and girls, the RCMP has undertaken a number of new initiatives, including:- Developing a "comprehensive strategy" around missing persons investigations, including providing "supervisory oversight" along the way.- Ensuring greater compliance with a policy that requires investigators to treat every complaint of missing persons as though foul play was involved "until it can be objectively demonstrated that there is not."- Requiring that investigators engage with the victims' families.- Reviewing and revamping all RCMP policies to ensure greater accountability. That same RCMP report found that indigenous women are most frequently killed by someone they know, be it their spouse or a member of their community. The chief from British Columbia disagreed with those findings and reserved some of his strongest criticism for Paulson, who had acknowledged earlier in his remarks that not everyone agreed with the data or the RCMP's interpretation of it."I don't like the fact that aboriginal men were blamed. We were blamed for all the violence against our women."We knew that wasn't the case, but somebody informed the government of the day that we were responsible. That was you or somebody in your employ that did that," said Kelly."Shame on you Mr. Paulson."

After California shooting, fears of harassment against Muslims across US increase-By Jonathan Lemire And Michael Balsamo, The Associated Press | The Canadian Press – DEC 10,15-YAHOONEWS
NEW YORK, N.Y. - A severed pig's head was left outside a mosque in Philadelphia. An Islamic centre in Florida was defaced. A Sikh temple in California was vandalized by someone who mistook it for a mosque and left graffiti that included a profane reference to the Islamic State group.Advocacy groups believe there has been a spike in anti-Muslim incidents across the United States in recent weeks that can be linked to last week's mass shooting in California and the inflammatory rhetoric of Donald Trump and other Republican presidential candidates. And they say that Muslims are fearful the backlash could lead to further harassment and violence."The spike began with the Paris attacks and has intensified with what happened in San Bernardino and now with what Donald Trump is proposing," Ibrahim Hooper, lead spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said Wednesday. "I have never seen such fear and apprehension in the Muslim community, even after 9-11."It's hard to measure the extent of the problem. The FBI, which keeps statistics on hate crimes committed nationwide, counted 154 bias offences against Muslims last year. Data for 2015 is unavailable. The Anti-Defamation League, relying partly on complaints and partly on media reports, said it has logged more than three dozen incidents since the Nov. 13 terror attacks in Paris that left 130 dead."We're talking at least three dozen that we're aware of, and I'm sure there are many more incidents that haven't been reported," said Oren Segal, the director of the ADL's Center on Extremism."With legit terror attacks and the public discourse about them, it has created an atmosphere ripe for these types of stereotypes and incidents," Segal said. "People are exploiting them."Segal wasn't able to provide a comparison point to the same period last year, but said that the pace of incidents appears to have picked up since the Dec. 2 shooting in San Bernardino that killed 14 people and injured 21 others. The suspects, Syed Rizwan Farook, and his wife Tashfeen Malik, later died in a gun battle with police. That shooting prompted Trump on Monday to propose a complete ban on Muslim immigrants into the U.S., triggering a fierce debate that has dominated the national political conversation. Advocates say other GOP presidential candidates also have fueled anti-Islamic sentiment, including Ben Carson who suggested a Muslim should not be president and Rick Santorum who questioned whether the U.S. Constitution protected Islam."The ground had been primed for this kind of harassment by the ongoing demonization of Islam," said Hooper. "After 9-11 there were hate crimes on the edges of society, but now it's in the mainstream with the leading Republican presidential candidate saying Muslims are not wanted in America."Among the incidents reported since the California shooting:— In Philadelphia, police have stepped up patrols around houses of worship after a severed pig's head was left outside the Al Aqsa Islamic Society. Police are continuing to investigate; no arrests have been made.—A Florida man was arrested after authorities said he vandalized the Islamic Center of Palm Beach in North Palm Beach, Florida, on Friday. More than a dozen windows were broken.—The imam of an Islamic centre in St. Louis, Missouri, told a local television station that someone claiming to be a former Marine left a threatening voicemail message on the mosque's answering machine on Saturday. Fox 2 TV (KTVI), which obtained a copy of the recording, reported that the man said he "killed a lot of Muslims" and, using expletives, said he would decapitate Muslims.Sometimes it's hard for authorities to decipher whether the suspects are fueled by bigotry or whether there's something else in play. The New York Police Department said Piro Kolvani, 55, walked into a food market in Queens Saturday, had a brief verbal exchange with the store clerk and then attacked him. The clerk, Sarker Haque, 53, told WPIX-TV his assailant shouted "I kill Muslims," before punching him in his left eye.In a short, disjointed phone interview Wednesday, Kolvani said he was trying to buy something in the store. When asked if he said anything negative about Muslims during his exchange with the clerk, he shouted "No! No! No!" and then hung up on a reporter. Kolvani was arrested on an assault charge but the Queens District Attorney's office has not determined if he'll be charged with a hate crime.Court records show Kolvani, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, was arrested there after allegedly pulling his pants down in front of a Walmart store on Nov. 21.___Associated Press researcher Monika Mathur contributed to this report.___Contact Lemire on Twitter @JonLemire
Vatican says Catholics should not try to convert Jews, should fight anti-semitism-By Philip Pullella | Reuters – DEC 10,15-YAHOONEWS
VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Catholics should not try to convert Jews and should work with them to fight anti-Semitism, the Vatican said on Thursday in a major document drawing the Church further away from the strained relations of the past.It was the latest move on a host of issues, such as gay rights and re-marriage, that the Vatican or Pope Francis have made showing a desire to be more compassionate and open and to move further away from entrenched traditions. In the past, for example, Catholic prayers have denounced Jews for not believing in Jesus. Jews have also accused the World War Two papacy of turning a blind eye to the Holocaust, a charge the Vatican denies. The new document from the Vatican's Commission for Religious Relations with Jews stressed recent Vatican teachings that the two religions were intertwined and that God had never annulled his covenant with the Jewish people."The Church is therefore obliged to view evangelization (spreading Christianity) to Jews, who believe in the one God, in a different manner from that to people of other religions and world views," it said.It also said Catholics should be particularly sensitive about the significance to Jews of the Shoah, the Hebrew word for the Holocaust, and pledged "to do all that is possible with our Jewish friends to repel anti-Semitic tendencies"."A Christian can never be an anti-Semite, especially because of the Jewish roots of Christianity," it said. The document coincided with the 50th anniversary of a Vatican repudiation of the concept of collective Jewish guilt for Jesus' death and the launch of a theological dialogue that traditionalists have rejected. They believe there should be a so-called "Jewish mission" to convert Jews because they did not accept Jesus as the Messiah. Such traditionalists were therefore bound to be displeased by the document's words on conversion, a senior Vatican official said."In concrete terms this means that the Catholic Church neither conducts nor supports any specific institutional mission work directed towards Jews," said the document, adding that there was a "principled rejection of an institutional Jewish mission"."This is the first formal document that makes it clear there is no intentional desire to actively proselytize amongst Jews," Rabbi David Rosen, international director of inter-religious affairs for the American Jewish Committee, told Reuters.Rosen, who is based in Jerusalem, has been a key figure in formal theological dialogue with the Vatican for decades.CATHOLIC PRAYER ONCE CALLED JEWS "PERFIDIOUS"-Edward Kessler, director of the Woolf Institute for the study of inter-religious relations in Cambridge, said much education of the young had to be done to dispel the notion that Christianity had "replaced and substituted" Judaism.Kessler, who is Jewish, told a Vatican news conference that both sides had to "ensure the transformation in relations is not limited to the elite, but extends from the citadels of the Vatican to the pews of the Church as well as from the offices of the chief rabbis to the floors of our synagogues."Until about 1960, prayers at Catholic Masses on Good Friday, the day commemorating the death of Jesus, labeled Jews "perfidious" and called for their conversion. That prayer was eliminated from general use after the 1962-1965 Second Vatican Council introduced a new missal, or prayer book used at Masses. But later a prayer for the Jews was allowed to remain in the old-style Latin Mass, sometimes called the Tridentine Rite, used by ultra-traditionalists such as the Society of Saint Pius X, whose members reject the reforms of the Second Vatican Council. In 2008, then-Pope Benedict further reformulated the prayer used by the traditionalists to remove language that Jewish groups found offensive, such as "the blindness of that people".(Additional reporting by Eleanor Biles; Editing by Jeremy Gaunt)
Erdogan says out of question Turkish troops will leave Iraq-Reuters – DEC 10,15-YAHOONEWS

Chipotle CEO 'deeply sorry' about customers who fell sick, vows safety standards-By The Associated Press | The Canadian Press – DEC 10,15-YAHOONEWS
NEW YORK, N.Y. - Chipotle founder and co-CEO Steve Ells says he is "deeply sorry" about the customers who were sickened after eating at the chain in recent weeks."I'm sorry for the people who got sick. They're having a tough time and I feel terrible about that," Ells said in an interview on NBC's Today show.Ells repeated the company's pledge to tighten food safety procedures to ensure such incidents do not happen again. On the same day, Boston College increased the number of students who have reported feeling ill after a group of them ate at Chipotle from 120, to 141. The school said that 12 of those students did not eat at the restaurant.Norovirus can be transmitted by eating contaminated food, or by touching infected surfaces, then putting your fingers in your mouth.Sales at Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. have been slammed by high-profile food scares in recent weeks. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said that at least 52 people in nine states have been sickened in an E. coli outbreak, with 47 of them having eaten at Chipotle. The most recent case happened Nov. 13.The ingredient that sickened people has not been identified. But Chipotle says whatever the likely culprit was is out of its restaurants. The company has noted the exposure period for the outbreak appears to have passed. This week students from Boston College, including members of the men's basketball team, reported feeling sick after eating at the chain this past weekend. Chipotle temporarily closed a restaurant where the students said they ate and says it believes the illnesses are an isolated case of norovirus separate from the E. coli outbreak.Public health officials also said norovirus was found at the restaurant, and that "the clear expectation is that the illness on campus is limited to the norovirus."Officials said an employee at the restaurant was sick during a shift last week and may have caused the outbreak of norovirus, which is very contagious and causes nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Chipotle says it offers employees paid sick days and that the employee in question would have been eligible for the benefit.Chris Arnold, a Chipotle spokesman, also said an employee coming in sick was in violation of the company's policies. Before reopening the restaurant in Boston, Arnold said all the employees are being tested for norovirus, and that they will not return to work until they are cleared. In its annual report, Chipotle has noted it may be at a higher risk for outbreaks of food-borne illnesses because of its "fresh produce and meats rather than frozen, and our reliance on employees cooking with traditional methods rather than automation."However, the illnesses have led to a top-down review of safety practices at Chipotle, Ells said.Health experts brought in by Chipotle believe, Ells said, that changes enacted after the outbreak "will put us 10 to 15 years ahead of industry norms, and I believe this will be the safest restaurant to eat at.Company shares, which have been pummeled since the outbreak, rebounded sharply after Ells' interview, jumping almost 7 per cent.
