Despite a display of unabashed enthusiasm rarely expressed regarding one of the most intractable conflicts in the world, US President Donald Trump’s performance alongside Palestinian Authority counterpart Mahmoud Abbas Wednesday will likely do little to convince the world that he can succeed in brokering a peace deal where so many others have failed.Trump’s show of unbridled optimism that he will reach a deal, and even that solving the conflict is not as difficult as others have made it out be, couldn’t cover up the fact that he failed to enunciate a single policy or principle or new idea that could guide the negotiation process toward any kind of progress, let alone the signing of a final-status peace treaty.“Never in decades of involvement have I heard a US president more confident with less prospect,” tweeted veteran US peace negotiator Aaron David Miller, who has worked under Republican and Democratic administrations.Despite Trump’s claim that “there’s a very, very good chance” for a peace deal, even today — after he has hosted leaders from both sides and had his emissary Jason Greenblatt travel to the region and meet a host of stakeholders — it is still entirely unclear how he intends to square the Israeli-Palestinian circle.If anything, watching the joint statements Trump and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas delivered Wednesday in the White House, it is harder than ever to believe in peace in our time.Once again, Trump avoided endorsing Palestinian statehood or even the concept of “two-states for two peoples,” merely offering to help reach the two sides with “anything they’d like to do.”“The Palestinians and Israelis must work together to reach an agreement that allows both peoples to live, worship, and thrive and prosper in peace,” Trump said, standing in front of a Palestinian flag. “And I will do whatever is necessary to facilitate the agreement — to mediate, to arbitrate anything they’d like to do.”One state, two state, whatever. The world gasped in shock when, during his February press conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump casually dismissed what has been a global consensus position.But if he’s really serious about brokering peace, Trump will eventually have to embrace the two-state solution, many analysts, including this writer, postulated at the time. If this administration will ever proclaim Palestinian statehood as a policy objective, it did not happen on Wednesday.And if Trump did not utter the words “two-state solution” while hosting the Palestinian leader in the White House, he is unlikely to do so after Abbas has left the premises. Maybe the president is saving this declaration for his planned visit to the region later this month. Maybe not. Perpetually surprising everyone seems to be a central element of his foreign policy.Trump’s backers often tout the fact that he’s not a stuffy policy expert as one of the main reasons he may be able to finally untie the Gordian Knot of Mideast peace.The president is unorthodox, unpredictable and has defied all expectations more than once, his supporters say.After decades in which so-called experts dominated the peace process but failed to produce a final status agreement, they argue, maybe a former real estate magnate who thinks outside the box can master the art of the “ultimate deal.”But making Mideast peace is not the same as a cutting a deal for a piece of New York property, and Abbas made clear he isn’t buying Trump’s Brooklyn Bridge.The Palestinian leader read out a long and detailed laundry list, sticking with his familiar positions, while making sure to politely respond to Trump’s optimism in kind.“Our strategic choice is to bring about peace based on the vision of the two-state — a Palestinian state with its capital of East Jerusalem that lives in peace and stability with the state of Israel based on the borders of 1967,” he said.The Palestinian leader mentioned the “issue of the refugees,” but instead of indicating willingness to abandon the demand for a “right of return” — a total nonstarter for any Israeli government — he said the problem would be solved “according to the terms of international law” and based on previous “various relevant references and terms of reference in that regard, and based on what is stipulated in the previous treaties and agreements.”He cited the Arab Peace Initiative and pointed to past UN resolutions; denied that Palestinian children are being raised to hate Israelis; refused to recognize Israel as a Jewish state; and lamented that the Palestinians are “the only remaining people in the world that still live under occupation.”In other words: both Abbas and Trump said they really want peace and truly believe it is possible, but one offered the same-old formula that has failed time and again — and will continue to fail — to produce a peace deal, and the other offered no formula at all.“We will get it done. We will be working so hard to get it done,” Trump said at the conclusion of his remarks.Later, after Trump said that solving the issue may not be as difficult as thought, former US envoy to Israel Dan Shapiro tweeted “I’m an optimist by nature. But goodness gracious!”As Shapiro’s boss, former US secretary of state John Kerry, aptly demonstrated with his failed effort in 2013, hard work and the sheer desire for a breakthrough are not nearly enough.The Obama administration failed to make any headway in the Israeli-Palestinian arena also because it too dogmatically clung to certain paradigms, such as the “not-one-brick”-policy equating remote West Bank outposts with Jerusalem neighborhoods.But Trump’s adamant refusal to define the contours of the elusive final-status deal he so eagerly wants to facilitate does not inspire great confidence in his abilities as peacemaker, either.

A senior Palestinian Authority official has rejected the “insane” US demand that it end its policy of providing social welfare payments to the families of Palestinian terrorists jailed for carrying out attacks against Israelis.PA President Mahmoud Abbas’ foreign affairs adviser Nabil Shaath on Thursday told Israel Radio the Trump administration’s demand was intentionally designed to sink any potential for renewed US-led Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.He told the radio station that the Palestinian prisoners were victims of Israel’s control over the West Bank.“It’s absurd to request that we stop paying the families of prisoners,” he said. “That would be like asking Israel to stop paying its soldiers.”At the same time, Shaath insisted Abbas’s first meeting with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday was a positive one and a possible starting point for future talks with Israel.According to Shaath, Trump used “language of respect and appreciation” in praising Abbas for his willingness to return to the negotiating table.During the Wednesday meeting, Trump urged Abbas to stop incitement, crack down on terrorism, and “resolve” his West Bank government’s policy of making payments to families of Israeli-held security prisoners.“President Trump raised his concerns about payments to Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails who have committed terrorist acts, and to their families, and emphasized the need to resolve this issue,” the White House said in a readout of the two leaders’ first face-to-face meeting.Some 6,500 Palestinians are currently detained by Israel for a range of terror offenses and crimes. Israeli Minister of Culture and Sport Miri Regev is expected to demand that the offices of the UN’s cultural body in Jerusalem be shut following a controversial resolution passed on Tuesday denying Israeli claims to Jerusalem.Regev, of the ruling Likud party, will present her demand on Wednesday at a cabinet meeting, Channel 2 reported Tuesday, hours after the resolution on “Occupied Palestine” was submitted to UNESCO’s Executive Board by Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar and Sudan, and referred to Israel as the “occupying power” when discussing Jerusalem, indicating that it has no legal or historical ties to any part of the city.The resolution passed with 22 votes in favor, 23 abstentions, 10 opposed, and representatives of three countries absent.Regev said that Israel has had sovereightny in Jerusalem for 50 years and that there was no need “for observers from the likes of the UN” in the Israeli capital.UNESCO maintains an office at the UN headquarters in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood in Jerusalem alongside the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) and the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Nickolay Mladenov.The building was leased to the UN in 1967 to monitor the ceasfire between Israel and its Arab neighbors following the Six Day War.Regev said the site should be re-claimed by Israel and claimed that she would turn to the Foreign Ministry and to other relevant authorities in order to return [the compound at] Armon Hanatziv [to Israel] for state use,” Channel 2 quoted her as saying.Regev also addressed a recent petition by the right-wing Regavim movement which has claimed that the UN has carried out unauthorized contruction work at the compound in recent years. She called the allegations “grave” and said that the details “must be verified as soon as possible.”The petition was filed with the Jerusalem District Court claimed that the construction work was undertaken without building permits from the Jerusalem Municipality or the authorization of the State of Israel.Filed in late March, Regavim claims in the petition that “the UN has taken advantage of its immunity by carrying out a series of illegal construction projects in the compound on property which is state owned.”“The illegal building projects within the compound include: making structural changes to a historic building from the 1930’s, the illegal construction of a multi-story office building, the building of an illegal storage facility, and the installation of an illegal petrol station for UN personnel usage,” Regavim wrote in a press statement on its website.Tuesday’s UNESCO resolution, unlike previous resolutions, does not refer to the Temple Mount only as Haram al-Sharif, or to the Western Wall Plaza only as al-Burak plaza, the respective sites’ Muslim names. Despite a display of unabashed enthusiasm rarely expressed regarding one of the most intractable conflicts in the world, US President Donald Trump’s performance alongside Palestinian Authority counterpart Mahmoud Abbas Wednesday will likely do little to convince the world that he can succeed in brokering a peace deal where so many others have failed.Trump’s show of unbridled optimism that he will reach a deal, and even that solving the conflict is not as difficult as others have made it out be, couldn’t cover up the fact that he failed to enunciate a single policy or principle or new idea that could guide the negotiation process toward any kind of progress, let alone the signing of a final-status peace treaty.“Never in decades of involvement have I heard a US president more confident with less prospect,” tweeted veteran US peace negotiator Aaron David Miller, who has worked under Republican and Democratic administrations.Despite Trump’s claim that “there’s a very, very good chance” for a peace deal, even today — after he has hosted leaders from both sides and had his emissary Jason Greenblatt travel to the region and meet a host of stakeholders — it is still entirely unclear how he intends to square the Israeli-Palestinian circle.If anything, watching the joint statements Trump and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas delivered Wednesday in the White House, it is harder than ever to believe in peace in our time.Once again, Trump avoided endorsing Palestinian statehood or even the concept of “two-states for two peoples,” merely offering to help reach the two sides with “anything they’d like to do.”“The Palestinians and Israelis must work together to reach an agreement that allows both peoples to live, worship, and thrive and prosper in peace,” Trump said, standing in front of a Palestinian flag. “And I will do whatever is necessary to facilitate the agreement — to mediate, to arbitrate anything they’d like to do.”One state, two state, whatever. The world gasped in shock when, during his February press conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump casually dismissed what has been a global consensus position.But if he’s really serious about brokering peace, Trump will eventually have to embrace the two-state solution, many analysts, including this writer, postulated at the time. If this administration will ever proclaim Palestinian statehood as a policy objective, it did not happen on Wednesday.And if Trump did not utter the words “two-state solution” while hosting the Palestinian leader in the White House, he is unlikely to do so after Abbas has left the premises. Maybe the president is saving this declaration for his planned visit to the region later this month. Maybe not. Perpetually surprising everyone seems to be a central element of his foreign policy.Trump’s backers often tout the fact that he’s not a stuffy policy expert as one of the main reasons he may be able to finally untie the Gordian Knot of Mideast peace.The president is unorthodox, unpredictable and has defied all expectations more than once, his supporters say.After decades in which so-called experts dominated the peace process but failed to produce a final status agreement, they argue, maybe a former real estate magnate who thinks outside the box can master the art of the “ultimate deal.”But making Mideast peace is not the same as a cutting a deal for a piece of New York property, and Abbas made clear he isn’t buying Trump’s Brooklyn Bridge.The Palestinian leader read out a long and detailed laundry list, sticking with his familiar positions, while making sure to politely respond to Trump’s optimism in kind.“Our strategic choice is to bring about peace based on the vision of the two-state — a Palestinian state with its capital of East Jerusalem that lives in peace and stability with the state of Israel based on the borders of 1967,” he said.The Palestinian leader mentioned the “issue of the refugees,” but instead of indicating willingness to abandon the demand for a “right of return” — a total nonstarter for any Israeli government — he said the problem would be solved “according to the terms of international law” and based on previous “various relevant references and terms of reference in that regard, and based on what is stipulated in the previous treaties and agreements.”He cited the Arab Peace Initiative and pointed to past UN resolutions; denied that Palestinian children are being raised to hate Israelis; refused to recognize Israel as a Jewish state; and lamented that the Palestinians are “the only remaining people in the world that still live under occupation.”In other words: both Abbas and Trump said they really want peace and truly believe it is possible, but one offered the same-old formula that has failed time and again — and will continue to fail — to produce a peace deal, and the other offered no formula at all.“We will get it done. We will be working so hard to get it done,” Trump said at the conclusion of his remarks.Later, after Trump said that solving the issue may not be as difficult as thought, former US envoy to Israel Dan Shapiro tweeted “I’m an optimist by nature. But goodness gracious!”As Shapiro’s boss, former US secretary of state John Kerry, aptly demonstrated with his failed effort in 2013, hard work and the sheer desire for a breakthrough are not nearly enough.The Obama administration failed to make any headway in the Israeli-Palestinian arena also because it too dogmatically clung to certain paradigms, such as the “not-one-brick”-policy equating remote West Bank outposts with Jerusalem neighborhoods.But Trump’s adamant refusal to define the contours of the elusive final-status deal he so eagerly wants to facilitate does not inspire great confidence in his abilities as peacemaker, either.

A senior Palestinian Authority official has rejected the “insane” US demand that it end its policy of providing social welfare payments to the families of Palestinian terrorists jailed for carrying out attacks against Israelis.PA President Mahmoud Abbas’ foreign affairs adviser Nabil Shaath on Thursday told Israel Radio the Trump administration’s demand was intentionally designed to sink any potential for renewed US-led Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.He told the radio station that the Palestinian prisoners were victims of Israel’s control over the West Bank.“It’s absurd to request that we stop paying the families of prisoners,” he said. “That would be like asking Israel to stop paying its soldiers.”At the same time, Shaath insisted Abbas’s first meeting with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday was a positive one and a possible starting point for future talks with Israel.According to Shaath, Trump used “language of respect and appreciation” in praising Abbas for his willingness to return to the negotiating table.During the Wednesday meeting, Trump urged Abbas to stop incitement, crack down on terrorism, and “resolve” his West Bank government’s policy of making payments to families of Israeli-held security prisoners.“President Trump raised his concerns about payments to Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails who have committed terrorist acts, and to their families, and emphasized the need to resolve this issue,” the White House said in a readout of the two leaders’ first face-to-face meeting.Some 6,500 Palestinians are currently detained by Israel for a range of terror offenses and crimes. Israeli Minister of Culture and Sport Miri Regev is expected to demand that the offices of the UN’s cultural body in Jerusalem be shut following a controversial resolution passed on Tuesday denying Israeli claims to Jerusalem.Regev, of the ruling Likud party, will present her demand on Wednesday at a cabinet meeting, Channel 2 reported Tuesday, hours after the resolution on “Occupied Palestine” was submitted to UNESCO’s Executive Board by Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar and Sudan, and referred to Israel as the “occupying power” when discussing Jerusalem, indicating that it has no legal or historical ties to any part of the city.The resolution passed with 22 votes in favor, 23 abstentions, 10 opposed, and representatives of three countries absent.Regev said that Israel has had sovereightny in Jerusalem for 50 years and that there was no need “for observers from the likes of the UN” in the Israeli capital.UNESCO maintains an office at the UN headquarters in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood in Jerusalem alongside the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) and the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Nickolay Mladenov.The building was leased to the UN in 1967 to monitor the ceasfire between Israel and its Arab neighbors following the Six Day War.Regev said the site should be re-claimed by Israel and claimed that she would turn to the Foreign Ministry and to other relevant authorities in order to return [the compound at] Armon Hanatziv [to Israel] for state use,” Channel 2 quoted her as saying.Regev also addressed a recent petition by the right-wing Regavim movement which has claimed that the UN has carried out unauthorized contruction work at the compound in recent years. She called the allegations “grave” and said that the details “must be verified as soon as possible.”The petition was filed with the Jerusalem District Court claimed that the construction work was undertaken without building permits from the Jerusalem Municipality or the authorization of the State of Israel.Filed in late March, Regavim claims in the petition that “the UN has taken advantage of its immunity by carrying out a series of illegal construction projects in the compound on property which is state owned.”“The illegal building projects within the compound include: making structural changes to a historic building from the 1930’s, the illegal construction of a multi-story office building, the building of an illegal storage facility, and the installation of an illegal petrol station for UN personnel usage,” Regavim wrote in a press statement on its website.Tuesday’s UNESCO resolution, unlike previous resolutions, does not refer to the Temple Mount only as Haram al-Sharif, or to the Western Wall Plaza only as al-Burak plaza, the respective sites’ Muslim names. In fact, these sites are not mentioned at all.Furthermore, Resolution 201 EX/PX/DR.30.1 affirms “the importance of the Old City of Jerusalem and its Walls for the three monotheistic religions.” It also notes that the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron and Rachel’s Tomb near Bethlehem, both of which are in the West Bank, “are of religious significance for Judaism, Christianity and Islam” — though it calls them “Palestinian sites.”However, the resolution still contains many red flags for Israel. For instance, Israel is referred to throughout the document as the “occupying power,” indicating that it has no legal or historical ties to any part of Jerusalem.Earlier this week, Israel officials acknowledged that the resolution that passed Tuesday was somewhat easier to stomach than previous versions, but emphatically urged Western countries to vote against it.Israeli government officials also roundly condemned the outcome of the vote. Anti-Semitic fliers were posted at a gas station in Missoula, Montana.The fliers, which were discovered on Sunday morning, appeared to be distributed by a white supremacist group, according to local reports. They were taped to the gas pumps. Nothing else was vandalized.The fliers are similar to others found in Missoula shortly after the November 8, 2016, election, according to the daily newspaper The Missoulian. They have been found in neighborhoods from time to time since then, according to reports.The incident was reported to Missoula police.A synagogue in Missoula in November requested a police patrol after American Nazi Party fliers accusing Jews of controlling the media were dropped in residential areas of the city.

5 Persia,(IRAN,IRAQ) Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer,(GERMANY) and all his bands; the house of Togarmah (TURKEY) of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.(AFRICAN MUSLIMS,SUDAN,TUNESIA ETC)
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands,( ARABS) and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog,(NUCLEAR ATOMIC BOMB) and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

ASTANA, Kazakhstan (AFP) — Syrian regime allies Russia and Iran and rebel supporter Turkey on Thursday signed a memorandum on a Moscow-backed plan to create safe zones in Syria to bolster a fragile truce.An AFP reporter at peace talks in the Kazakh capital Astana saw the heads of the delegations, representing the three countries sponsoring the negotiations, sign the document.However a member of the rebel delegation left the room, shouting against regime ally Iran, the AFP reporter saw. The Syrian government and rebel delegations are not signatories.The Kremlin has been touting a plan to create safe zones in Syria that is aimed to “further pacification and cessation of hostilities.”“Over the past two days, the participants in the Astana talks reviewed the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the cessation of hostilities,” Kazakhstan’s foreign minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov said of a frail truce brokered by Moscow and Ankara in December.“As a result the guarantor countries agreed to sign a memorandum on the creation of de-escalation zones in Syria.”An Arabic-language version of the Russian draft proposal seen by AFP calls for the creation of “de-escalation zones” in rebel-held territory in the northwestern province of Idlib, in parts of Homs province in the center, in the south, and in the opposition enclave of Eastern Ghouta near Damascus.The aim is to “put an immediate end to the violence” and “provide the conditions for the safe, voluntary return of refugees” as well as the immediate delivery of relief supplies and medical aid, the document said.But issues including which countries could police any safe zones remain unclear.Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday that ways to monitor the zones would be an issue for separate talks.-Boosting ceasefire-Syrian rebels said earlier Thursday that they had resumed participation in the talks after having suspended their involvement a day earlier over air strikes against civilians.After talks with Turkey counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the safe zones were meant to lead to “further pacification and cessation of hostilities.”He also said the proposed zones would also be no-fly areas if fighting on the ground there stopped entirely.The Kremlin’s plan echoes calls by US President Donald Trump to establish safe zones in Syria.Putin said Wednesday that “as far I could tell” the US leader broadly supported the idea in a phone call they held on Tuesday.Erdogan said in comments published Thursday that Moscow’s plan to set up these zones in Syria would “50 percent” solve the six-year conflict.Damascus supports the Russian plan, Syrian state news agency SANA reported.More than 320,000 people have been killed in Syria since the country’s war began with anti-government protests in March 2011.

US Air Force jets on Thursday intercepted two Russian bombers escorted by a pair of Russian fighter jets flying near Alaskan airspace, in an incident that was described as a first by US defense officials.The Cold War-era Russian Su-35 “Flanker” jets were escorting two nuclear-capable Russian Bear bombers, also known as Tu-95 bombers, in Alaska’s Air Defense Zone, airspace that surrounds the United States and Canada, officials told Fox News.The Russian formation was intercepted by two US Air Force F-22 stealth fighter jets on patrol in the area.The Russian fighter jets were not armed and remained in international airspace, officials indicated.Last month, over two consecutive days, Russia flew Tu-95 aircraft off the Alaska coast, prompting the US to scramble fighter jets on at least one occasion.Before those incidents, Russia last flew aircraft close to the US in 2015 when bombers were seen flying close to the coasts off California and Alaska.Earlier Thursday, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said in a speech to State Department staff that there was “almost no trust” between the US and Russia, but that the Trump administration was trying to rebuild relations by looking at one issue at a time.A day earlier, US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin signaled improving prospects for cooperation in Syria, in what the White House called a “very good” phone discussion that included a focus on setting up safe zones in the war-torn nation.The call marked the first time Trump and Putin have spoken since the US launched missiles against an air base in Syria, an attack that outraged Russia, one of the Syrian government’s strongest backers.
