DAY 19 MH370 - MISSING PLANE - NOT YET CONFIRMED IN INDIAN OCEAN

JEWISH KING JESUS IS COMING AT THE RAPTURE FOR US IN THE CLOUDS-DON'T MISS IT FOR THE WORLD.THE BIBLE TAKEN LITERALLY- WHEN THE PLAIN SENSE MAKES GOOD SENSE-SEEK NO OTHER SENSE-LEST YOU END UP IN NONSENSE.

THE MISSING PLANE MH370 SITUATION AT 12:03AM WED MAR 26,2014

THE ONLY NEW HAPPENINGS YESTERDAY WAS THAT SOME OF THE FAMILIES ARE STARTING TO DO LAWSUITS AGAINST BOEING.AND THERE WAS ONE LAST PING AFTER THE FINAL HOUR PING.IT CAME ABOUT 15 MINUTES AFTER THE HOUR PING. SO FOR SURE THEY THINK IF THEY CAN PINPOINT THAT PING.THATS WERE THE PLANE WILL BE.AND THE DEBRIS AND PLANE FOUND.

THE MISSING PLANE MH370 SITUATION AT 7:10AM WED MAR 26,2014

NOW THERE SAYING A SATELLITE SPOTTED A POSSIBLE 122 OBJECT DEBRIS FIELD 3 DAYS AGO.WITH VARIOUS COLORS AND SIZES IN THE POSSIBLE CRASH WATER SITE.DO NOT GET TO EXCITED.LETS WAIT TO MAKE SURE.IF THIS IS EVEN A DEBRIS SITE.INCASE ITS JUNK FROM THE SWIRL AREA NEAR IT.THIS COULD JUST BE A PILE OF JUNK FLOATING TOGETHER.WE HOPE ITS THE PLANE DEBRIS.SO THE FAMILIES CAN FINALLY GET SOME CLOSURE.BUT WE WILL WAIT AND SEE.THEY PULLED THE DEBRIS TRICK ON US 3 OTHER TIMES ALREADY.AND JUST LIKE MAJIC NOTHING SHOWS UP.SO UNTIL WE GET PROOF WE MUST BE HOPEFUL.BUT CAUSIOUS NOT TO GET TO EXCITED YET.

AND A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR COMPANSATION LAWSUITE BY FAMILY MEMBERS HAS BEEN STARTED ON THE MONTREAL CONVENTION AGAINST BOEING AND THE MALAYSIAN AIRLINES.AN ANALYST CALLS THIS LAWSUITE IRRESPONSIBLE BY LAWYERS AGAINST MALAYSIAN AIRLINES.THIS WHOLE INCIDENT JUST KEEPS GETTING MORE COMPLICATED AND CHAOTIC BY THE MINUTE.

WHAT AMAZES ME WITH THIS SO CALLED INMARSAT INFORMATON IS THIS.WHY IS THERE NOT A CREW LOOKING UNDER THE OCEAN AT THE LAST PING SITE.SO IF THE PLANE DID CRASH AND GO IN THE OCEAN THERE.THE MAIN PART OF THE PLANE SHOULD BE DOWN THERE.SO THEY COULD GET THE BLACK BOX PING TO AT LEAST GET THE BLACK BOX FROM THE PLANE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PLANE.

THE MISSING PLANE MH370 SITUATION AT 1:15PM WED MAR 26,2014

I KNOW CNN KNOWS SOMETHING THEIR NOT TELLING US.ALL WE HEAR FROM CNN IS THEIR DEAD IN THE OCEAN.WILL THEIR BODIES EVER BE FOUND.IS THIS ACCIDENT IN THE PLANE A RESULT OF EVERYBODY DYING THEN GOING IN THE SEA.THEN TODAY ASHLEY SAYS ABOUT THE WASHINGTON SITUATION.COULD THE BODIES OF THE DEAD STAY IN THE GROUND THERE FOREVER AND NOT BE FOUND.IS CNN SETTING US UP FOR A NUKE ATTACK SOMEWHERE WITH ALL THEIR DEATH PROPAGANDA.THE DEAD BODIES WOULD BE EVERYWHERE FROM THE NUCLEAR ATTACK.ESPECIALLY SINCE CNN HAS SO MANY WATCHING THEM OVER THIS PLANE SITUATION.THEY EVEN SAID THERE RATINGS ARE OFF THE SHEET SINCE THIS PLANE CRASHED.WHAT A WAY TO GET CNNS PROPAGANDA OUT.

WELL IT CAN NOT BE THE RUSSIA-ARAB-MUSLIM SLAUGHTER ON THE MOUNTAINS OF ISRAEL YET.BECAUSE THE JORDAN VALLEY IS NOT TATALLY SETTLED YET. PROPBABLY THE ARAB MURDERERS WILL BE IN CONTROL OF THE JORDAN VALLEY SO THEY CAN BURY THE 300 MILLION DEAD RUSSIA/ARAB/MUSLIMS THAT ISRAEL NUKES AND THE MIGRATING BIRDS EAT THEIR FLESH. EVEN THOUGH IT IS NEAR THE 500 MILLION BIRD MIGRATION PEAK SEASON.BUT TO ME IT DOES NOT SEEM THAT ISRAEL WILL NUKE THEM YET.THE MOST LIKELY SENARIO WILL BE IRAN WILL SET A NUKE OFF SOMEWHERE IN CONNECTION WITH THIS PLANE AND THE 20 FREESCALE WORKERS.SOME COUNTRY WILL KNOW WHY IRAN OR ONE OF THE NORTHERN ALLIES FROM MALAYSIA TO KAZAHKSTAN HAS THESE FREESCALE NUCLEAR WORKERS AND WILL PROBABLY TRY TO BRIBE IRAN.AND IRAN OR ONE OF ITS ALLIES WILL NUKE THE COUNTRY THATS TRYING TO BRIBE IRAN.I AM JUST SPECULATING HERE AGAIN.BUT I STILL FEEL CNN IS PROPAGANDISING US FOR SOMETHING BIG TO HAPPEN THAT CAUSES LOTS OF DEATH.

New images show more than 100 objects that could be plane debris
By Matt Siegel and Rujun Shen 11 minutes ago-mar 26,14-YAHOONEWS
PERTH/KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - New satellite images have revealed more than 100 objects in the southern Indian Ocean that could be debris from a Malaysian jetliner missing for 18 days with 239 people on board, Malaysia's acting transport minister said on Wednesday. The latest sighting came as searchers stepped up efforts to find some trace of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, thought to have crashed on March 8 after flying thousands of miles off course."It must be emphasized that we cannot tell whether the potential objects are from MH370," Hishammuddin Hussein told a news conference. "Nevertheless, this is another new lead that will help direct the search operation."The images were captured by France-based Airbus Defence & Space on Monday and showed 122 potential objects in a 400 sq km (155 sq mile) area of ocean, Hishammuddin said. The objects varied in size from one meter to 23 meters (75 ft) in length, he said.A dozen aircraft from Australia, the United States, New Zealand, China, Japan and South Korea were once more scouring the seas some 2,500 km (1,550 miles) southwest of Perth in the hunt for wreckage on Wednesday, after bad weather the previous day forced the suspension of the search."The crash zone is as close to nowhere as it's possible to be but it's closer to Australia than anywhere else," Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said, before leading the country's parliament in a moment's silence."A considerable amount of debris has been sighted in the area where the flight was last recorded. Bad weather and inaccessibility has so far prevented any of it from being recovered. But we are confident that it will be."Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak this week confirmed Flight MH370, which vanished while flying to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur, had crashed in the southern Indian Ocean.Citing satellite-data analysis by British company Inmarsat, he said there was no doubt the Boeing 777 came down in one of the most remote places on Earth - an implicit admission that everyone on board had died.Recovery of wreckage could unlock clues about why and how the plane had diverted so far off course in one of aviation's most puzzling mysteries. Theories range from a hijacking to sabotage or a possible suicide by one of the pilots, but investigators have not ruled out technical problems.Australia, China and France have all released satellite images over the past week showing possible debris in the same general area as the latest sighting, but no confirmed wreckage has been located.

PASSENGER RELATIVES DISTRAUGHT
An Australian navy ship returned to the area after being driven away by gale force winds and 20-metre (66 ft) waves on Tuesday, while a Chinese icebreaker and three Chinese navy vessels were now in the search zone. Two Chinese ships were looking for a two-meter floating object spotted earlier in the day by an aircraft, China's state news agency Xinhua reported. The United States has sent an undersea Navy drone and a high-tech black box detector which will be fitted to an Australian Defence vessel due in Perth in the coming days. The so-called black boxes - the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder - record what happens during flight, but time is running out to pick up locator beacons that stop about a month after a crash due to limited battery life.Malaysia said on Tuesday that the U.S. "Towed Pinger Locator" would not arrive in the search area until April 5, which would give it only a few days to find the black box before the beacon battery would be expected to run out.The prolonged and so far fruitless search and investigation have taken a toll, with dozens of distraught relatives of Chinese passengers clashing with police in Beijing on Tuesday, accusing Malaysia of "delays and deception".Malaysia's confused initial response to the plane's disappearance and a perception of poor communications have enraged many relatives of the more than 150 Chinese passengers and have strained ties between Beijing and Kuala Lumpur.Chinese special envoy, Zhang Yesui, met Malaysia's Najib on Wednesday and called for "unremitting efforts" to find the plane, Xinhua said.

MULTINATIONAL INVESTIGATION
Flight MH370 vanished from civilian radar screens less than an hour after taking off and investigators believe someone on the flight may have shut off the plane's communications systems.Partial military radar tracking showed it turning west and recrossing the Malay Peninsula, apparently under the control of a skilled pilot. The air crash investigation is shaping up as one of the most costly and difficult ever. Normally, an official investigation can only begin once a crash site has been identified. That would give Malaysia power to coordinate and sift evidence.A government source told Reuters that Malaysia would lead the investigation, but hoped other countries, especially Australia, would play a major role.(Additional reporting by Ben Blanchard and Joseph Campbell in Beijing, Stuart Grudgings, Michael Martina, Siva Govindasamy and A. AND I'M NOT POINTING TO NOTHING AGAINST ANY OF THE 3 COMPANIES I MENTIONED BELOW.I WAS JUST DOING MY OWN INVESTIGATION.

THE MISSING PLANE MH370 SITUATION AT 6:03PM TUE MAR 25,2014

I HAVE BEEN DOING A BRIEF INVESTIGATION INTO INMARSAT.AND I FIND OUT BOEING IS BUILDING 3 INMARSAT SATI-5 SATELLITES.THE BACKBONE FOR INMARSATS NEW GLOBAL EXPRESS NETWORK.THE SAT-5 IS THE NEXT GREATEST REMOTE COMMUNICATIONS.THEY CAN PUT THESE IN PLANES.THIS NEW INMARSAT IS SOME KINDA SATELLITE CONNECTION THAT WILL CONNECT EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE,AND WITH A ANTENNA ON A PLANE YOU CAN CONNECT FROM YOUR COMPUTER ON THE GROUND TO THE PLANE.AND FREESCALE HARDWARE IS INVOLVED WITH THIS INMARSAT EQUIPEMENT.

HOW THIS SYSTEM WORKS

http://www.inmarsat.com/aviation/

Each Iridium satellite contains seven Motorola Freescale PowerPC 603E processors running at 200MHz.  One processor is dedicated to each cross link antenna and two processors are dedicated to satellite control with one as a spare.  Each Iridium satellite can support up to 1100 phone calls.  Communication with the Iridium network is done using a TDMA and FDMA based system using L band spectrum between 1616 and 1626.5MHz.  Iridium controls 7.775MHz of this.

I JUST FIND THIS ALL VERY INTERESTING THAT THIS WAS A BOEING PLANE THAT CRASHED WITH 20 FREESCALE WORKERS ON IT.AND INMARSAT IS INVOLVED HEAVILY IN THE TRACKING OF THE PLACE WERE THE PLANE CRASHED.FREESCALE PUTS THE PROCESSORS IN INMARSAT SATELLITES.AND NOW BOEING IS GONNA BUILD INMARSAT 3 GLOBAL SATELLITES FOR FASTER GLOBAL SERVICE EVERY WHERE.WELL I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THIS ALL MEANS.BUT EVERYBODY INVOLVED IN THIS PLANE CRASH IS ALL INTERLINKED TOGETHER.AND IF ALL THESE COMPANIES WOULD HAVE A MALAYSIA CONNECTION.THEN I WOULD BE VERY SUSPICIOUS ABOUT THIS SO CALLED MISSING PLANE THAT ENDS UP IN ONE OF THE DEEPEST PLACES IN THE INDIAN OCEAN WITH THESE 20 FREESCALE WORKERS ON THAT PLANE.

IF ONE OR ALL OF THESE 3 COMPANIES HAVE ANY CONNECTIONS TO THE NORTHERN MUSLIM COUNTRIES THAT COULD BE POSSIBLY INVOLVED IN THIS PLANE CRASH.WE COULD HAVE A CONNECTION HERE.I WILL TAKE FREESCALE OUT OF THIS SENARIO. BECAUSE THEY WERE THE ONES KIDNAPED FOR THEIR DEFENCE-SECRETS AND TECHNOLOFY-MICROCHIP IMPLANT INFORMATION.I JUST FIND IT ALL SO INTERESTING THAT THESE 3 COMPANIES ARE SO INTERLINKED. AND ONE OF THE 3 - I BELIEVE GOT KIDNAPPED BY ONE OF IRANS NORTHERN MUSLIM COUNTRY ALLIES.WHICH COULD POSSIBLY HAVE CONNECTIONS TO ONE OF THE 2 REMAINING COMPANIES INVOLVED IN THIS ALLEDGED DEEPEST INDIAN OCEAN DISAPPEARANCE OF BOEING 777-200 MH370 FLIGHT.

Twelve were from Malaysia, while eight were Chinese nationals. Freescale’s spokesman Mitch Haws has said: “These were all people with a lot of experience and technical background and they were very important people. “It’s definitely a loss for the company.”Freescale’s shareholders include the Carlyle Group of private equity investors whose past advisers have included ex-US president George Bush Sr and former British Prime Minister John Major.  These were all people with a lot of experience and technical background – they were very important

Jordanian king vows to protect Jerusalem-Abdullah II says Amman will stand up for Arab population in holy city, calls for peace deal to uphold Jordan’s interests-By Spencer Ho March 26, 2014, 10:57 am 3-The Times of Israel

Jordan’s King Abdullah II said his country will protect Jerusalem and stand up to “Israeli violations,” in a speech to the Arab Summit in Kuwait Tuesday.Abdullah’s speech to the Arab League Summit in Kuwait came as tensions between Israel and Jordan have bubbled up over demands by Knesset lawmakers that Israel impose sovereignty over the Temple Mount.Jordan “will work to help Jerusalem’s Arab population stay on their land, support their steadfastness, strengthen their presence and stand up to address Israeli violations and measures, particularly those targeting Al Aqsa Mosque, by all available means and in coordination with our brothers in the State of Palestine,” Abdullah said, referring to the mosque atop the disputed holy site.A Knesset debate in February on Israeli sovereignty over the Temple Mount set off intense criticism in the Arab world, particularly from Jordan, where Prime Minister Abdullah Nsur warned that Amman might review its peace agreement with Israel.Jordan considers itself custodian of the holy site, which is administered by the Islamic Waqf trust.“Jordan will … continue to carry out its religious and historical duty of preserving Jerusalem and its holy Islamic and Christian sites,” he said.Israeli lawmakers have raised objections to a restriction barring Jewish prayer atop the mount, considered the holiest site in Jerusalem, for fear that it would provoke a violent reaction from Muslims.Abdullah also touted the importance of achieving an Israeli-Palestinian peace accord, calling it the basis for “achieving comprehensive peace and enrooting security and stability in the Middle East.”He added that any peace agreement needed to “uphold Jordan’s higher interests.”“Today the international community is required to assume its responsibilities, move immediately to compel Israel to stop its unilateral policies and measures and urge it to take advantage of the Arab Peace Initiative and the historic opportunity available now to achieve peace,” he said. The Times of Israel staff contributed to this report.

17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

Pollard-for-prisoners deal said offered by US to save peace talks-No confirmation of Army Radio report that Kerry, on emergency visit to the region, willing to free Israeli spy in order to salvage negotiations-By Times of Israel staff and AFP March 26, 2014, 11:32 am 6

The United States has proposed freeing Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard in a trade-off deal in which Israel would agree to proceed with the next round of prisoner releases, including Israeli Arab prisoners, and the Palestinian Authority would agreed to extend the current peace talks, Israel’s Army Radio reported Wednesday. It said the offer had been conveyed to Israel and the PA, but there was no official confirmation. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki was quoted telling journalists accompanying Secretary of State John Kerry to a meeting with PA President Mahmoud Abbas Wednesday morning that there were currently no plans to release Pollard, who is serving a life sentence. In exchange for Pollard, Israel would agree to release 26 prisoners, among them around 20 Arab Israelis, and the Palestinians would agree to continue talks until the end of 2014, according to Army Radio.Kerry reportedly made the offer after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made clear his intentions to forgo the final stage of a prisoner release, previously agreed to as a bargaining chip for starting peace talks this past July, unless Abbas agreed to extend the talks past the upcoming April deadline.Right-wing Israeli politicians have objected to the prisoner release, particularly letting inmates who are Israeli citizens go, but the inclusion of Pollard in the deal would likely help bring them aboard.Pollard, a US naval analyst, was jailed by the US in 1987 after being caught spying for Israel. Successive Israeli governments have lobbied Washington for his release, with no success. He is due to be paroled late next year.Israel’s Economy Minister Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home) said he was “skeptical” over the reported deal.“I don’t believe it will happen,” he said.MK Miri Regev (Likud) said that while she wanted Pollard to go free, she did not believe Israel should release murderers.Kerry cut short a trip to Europe to meet Abbas in Amman in a last-ditch effort to salvage the peace talks, which are due to end next month. He was also set to speak to Netanyahu.Kerry’s trip aims “to continue to narrow the gaps between the parties,” Psaki said on Tuesday. His unexpected visit — setting off from the Italian capital just hours after arriving — came as fresh tensions rose over the peace talks, which Kerry is struggling to keep on track beyond an April 29 deadline.Negotiations also risked being waylaid by a row over the release of prisoners by Israel.Israel pledged when talks began in July 2013 to release 104 veteran Palestinian prisoners in four batches, in exchange for the Palestinians refraining from pursuing legal action against the Jewish state in international courts.

Abbas agreed that for the nine-month duration of the talks he would shelve efforts to use the UN’s November 2012 recognition of Palestine as a nonmember observer state to press for membership in international bodies where it could fight Israel. But after the release of a total of 78 inmates so far, Israeli cabinet ministers have warned that the remaining prisoners will not be freed on March 29 unless the Palestinians agree to extend the talks beyond their April 29 deadline.Israel particularly objects to the Palestinians’ demand for Arab Israelis or Palestinian residents of Israeli-annexed East Jerusalem convicted of terrorism to be included in the release. In response, Palestinian leaders on Tuesday threatened to renew their diplomatic push at the United Nations if Israel fails to free Arab prisoners as scheduled this weekend.“We shall turn to the UN’s international organizations if Israel does not release the fourth and final group of prisoners,” said Yasser Abed Rabbo, secretary-general of the Palestine Liberation Organization’s executive committee.“The release of the prisoners is in return for the freeze on seeking membership in international organisations,” he told official Voice of Palestine radio.“If Israel were to refuse to free the fourth batch it would have serious consequences, including initiatives at the United Nations,” former Palestinian negotiator Mohammed Shtayeh, said in a statement.Abbas told the Arab League Summit in Kuwait on Tuesday that he has so far refused to even discuss recognizing the Jewish state — a key demand of Netanyahu — and that by raising the issue Israel was trying to disrupt the peace talks.“Israel has not missed an opportunity to derail US peace efforts, including raising new demands, such as the demand for recognition as a ‘Jewish state,’ which we have refused to so much as discuss,” Abbas could be seen saying in video footage from the conference. In a draft statement endorsed by foreign ministers, the summit stressed a “categorical rejection” of the demand for recognition of Israel as a Jewish state and rejected “all pressures exerted on the Palestinian leadership” to force it into agreeing to that demand.A senior Palestinian official told AFP on condition of anonymity that in recent talks with US special envoy Martin Indyk, Abbas warned that if the April 29 talks deadline was not met “Israel would be in violation of agreements and (the Palestinian leadership) would have the right to turn to the UN and to take any measures it deems necessary.”

Arab League backs refusal to recognize Jewish state-Kuwait summit expresses ‘total rejection’ of Netanyahu’s demand, already dismissed by Abbas-By Times of Israel staff and AFP March 26, 2014, 12:19 pm 2

Arab leaders fully back a Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, a joint statement said on Wednesday.“We express our total rejection of the call to consider Israel as a Jewish state,” said the final declaration of the two-day Arab summit in Kuwait. The move was widely expected after a draft statement endorsed by foreign ministers on Sunday stressed a “categorical rejection” of the demand for recognition of Israel as a Jewish state and rejected “all pressures exerted on the Palestinian leadership” to agree to that demand.Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made recognition of Israel as a Jewish state a central demand in peace talks. But on Tuesday, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas told the Arab League the demand was being used a ploy to wreck negotiations.“Israel has not missed an opportunity to derail US peace efforts, including raising new demands, such as the demand for recognition as a ‘Jewish state,’ which we have refused to so much as discuss,” Abbas told the conference.Abbas was scheduled to meet with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Amman later Wednesday in an effort to extend talks, which are slated to end in a month.Kerry’s trip to Amman aims “to continue to narrow the gaps between the parties,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said on Tuesday, adding that the US diplomatic chief would also be in touch with Netanyahu “over the phone or by video conference.”His unexpected visit to the region — setting off from the Italian capital just hours after arriving — comes as fresh tensions rose over the peace talks, which Kerry is struggling to keep on track beyond the April 29 deadline.

Kerry, Abbas to meet in Amman Wednesday to salvage talks-US diplomat cuts short trip to Italy for surprise meeting as peace process snags on ‘Jewish state’ demand, prisoner release-By AFP March 25, 2014, 11:15 pm 0

ROME — US Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Amman Wednesday, interrupting a visit to Italy to meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas as a deadline looms for reaching a peace deal with Israel.Kerry’s surprise trip aims “to continue to narrow the gaps between the parties,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Tuesday, a tacit acknowledgement of the difficulties bogging down the negotiations. The US diplomatic chief would also be in touch with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “over the phone or by video conference,” she added.Kerry coaxed the two sides back to the negotiating table in July after a three-year hiatus, but the talks have stumbled as he has sought to hammer out an agreed framework to guide the next few months. The new meeting with Abbas comes just over a week after the Palestinian leader visited the White House to meet US President Barack Obama for what were described as “difficult” talks.Kerry’s unexpected plans to leave the Italian capital only hours after arriving came as fresh tensions arose over the peace talks, which he is struggling to keep on track and hopefully extend beyond an April 29 deadline.Arab leaders meeting Tuesday in Kuwait were expected to back a Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, an Israeli demand that threatens to derail the talks. In a draft statement endorsed by foreign ministers, the summit stressed a “categorical rejection” of the demand for recognition of Israel as a Jewish state and rejected “all pressures exerted on the Palestinian leadership” to force it into agreeing.Negotiations also risked being waylaid by a row over the release of prisoners by Israel.
Israel pledged when talks began in July to release 104 veteran Palestinian prisoners in four batches, in exchange for the Palestinians refraining from pursuing legal action against the Jewish state in international courts. But after the release of a total of 78 inmates so far, Israeli cabinet ministers have warned that the final remaining batch of prisoners will not be freed on March 29 unless the Palestinians agree to extend the talks beyond the April 29 deadline.Palestinian leaders, however, have threatened to renew their diplomatic push at the United Nations for statehood if Israel fails to free the prisoners as scheduled.Complicating the standoff, Palestinian leaders have called for Israeli Arabs to be among those released at the weekend.Kerry arrived in Rome late Tuesday from The Hague, having peeled away from the side of Obama who is also on a European tour which will see him travel to Italy and the Vatican City for Thursday talks. It was unclear whether Kerry would return to the Italian capital to join up again with Obama, or continue on to Riyadh where the US president is due to meet King Abdullah on Friday.

Abbas says ‘Jewish state’ demand not up for debate-PA president to meet Kerry on Wednesday; Palestinians threaten to resume unilateral international campaign-By Stuart Winer and AFP March 25, 2014, 9:27 pm 15

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas told the Arab League Summit in Kuwait on Tuesday that he has so far refused to even discuss recognizing the Jewish State — a key demand of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu —  and that by raising the issue Israel was trying to disrupt the peace talks.“Israel has not missed an opportunity to derail US peace efforts, including raising new demands, such as the demand for recognition as a ‘Jewish state,’ which we have refused to so much as discuss,” Abbas could be seen saying in video footage from the conference. In a draft statement endorsed by foreign ministers, the summit stressed a “categorical rejection” of the demand for recognition of Israel as a Jewish state and rejected “all pressures exerted on the Palestinian leadership” to force it into agreeing to that demand. The statements came ahead of a meeting between Abbas and US Secretary of State John Kerry in Amman on Wednesday. Kerry will be interrupting a visit to Italy in order to meet with the Palestinian leader and discuss the peace process with Israel.Kerry’s trip aims “to continue to narrow the gaps between the parties,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said on Tuesday, adding that the US diplomatic chief would also be in touch with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “over the phone or by video conference.”His unexpected visit — setting off from the Italian capital just hours after arriving — came as fresh tensions rose over the peace talks, which Kerry is struggling to keep on track beyond an April 29 deadline.Negotiations also risked being waylaid by a row over the release of prisoners by Israel.Israel pledged when talks began in July 2013 to release 104 veteran Palestinian prisoners in four batches, in exchange for the Palestinians refraining from pursuing legal action against the Jewish state in international courts.Abbas agreed that for the nine-month duration of the talks he would shelve efforts to use the UN’s November 2012 recognition of Palestine as a nonmember observer state to press for membership in international bodies where it could fight Israel. But after the release of a total of 78 inmates so far, Israeli cabinet ministers have warned that the remaining prisoners will not be freed on March 29 unless the Palestinians agree to extend the talks beyond their April 29 deadline. In response, Palestinian leaders on Tuesday threatened to renew their diplomatic push at the United Nations if Israel fails to free Arab prisoners as scheduled this weekend.“We shall turn to the UN’s international organisations if Israel does not release the fourth and final group of prisoners,” said Yasser Abed Rabbo, secretary-general of the Palestine Liberation Organization’s executive committee.“The release of the prisoners is in return for the freeze on seeking membership in international organisations,” he told official Voice of Palestine radio.“If Israel were to refuse to free the fourth batch it would have serious consequences, including initiatives at the United Nations,” former Palestinian negotiator Mohammed Shtayeh, said in a statement.Israel particularly objects to the Palestinians’ demand for Arab Israelis or Palestinian residents of Israeli-annexed East Jerusalem convicted of terrorism to be included in the release.A senior Palestinian official told AFP on condition of anonymity that in recent talks with US special envoy Martin Indyk, Abbas warned that if the April 29 talks deadline was not met “Israel would be in violation of agreements and (the Palestinian leadership) would have the right to turn to the UN and to take any measures it deems necessary.”

Brazil, China, India rally round Russia after G7 snub
25.03.14 @ 09:29-By Andrew Rettman-EUOBSERVER

BRUSSELS - The G7 club of wealthy nations has cancelled a summit with Russia over its annexation of Crimea, but emerging economies have protested against its exclusion from a G20 meeting. The G7 leaders – from Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the US – announced the move in a communique published after their meeting in The Hague on Monday (24 March). The June summit, which was to be held in the G8 format with Russia in Sochi, on the Black Sea coast, will now be held in Brussels. The communique said Russia’s actions “are not consistent” with the G7’s “shared beliefs” and that they will “suspend” the G8 “until Russia changes course”. It also said G7 states “remain ready to intensify actions, including co-ordinated sectoral sanctions … if Russia continues to escalate this situation”.For its part, US ally Australia had indicated Russia might also be excluded from a G20 summit in Brisbane in November. But Brazil, China, India, and South Africa rejected the idea. They said, together with Russia, also at The Hague, where almost 60 countries had sent VIPs to a Nuclear Security Summit, that “the escalation of hostile language, sanctions and counter-sanctions … does not contribute to a sustainable and peaceful solution” to the Ukraine crisis.“ The custodianship of the G20 belongs to all member states equally and no one member state can unilaterally determine its nature."With Brazil and China now wealthier than some G7 countries, Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov noted the G7 has lost its monopoly on global governance.“If our Western partners believe this format [G8] has exhausted itself, let it be. We are not clinging to it. As an experiment, we can wait a year or a year and a half and see how we live without it,” he said.Lavrov in The Hague met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrey Deshchytsia, for the first time since the crisis began. But he did not agree to launch bilateral talks to resolve the dispute, as demanded by the EU and US.He noted only that Ukraine must undertake unspecified “constitutional reforms” and repeated the Kremlin line that Ukraine’s revolution is a form of Western expansionism.Meanwhile, Ukraine circulated a draft UN General Assembly resolution which says Crimea’s recent referendum on secession has “no validity".It got backing from UN head Ban Ki Moon, who said Russia’s violation of the Budapest memorandum – a 1994 treaty giving Ukraine security guarantees in return for nuclear disarmament – has “profound” implications “both for regional security and the integrity of the nuclear non-proliferation regime”.Russia on Monday also hit back at Western sanctions by blacklisting 13 Canadians. It has mocked EU and US blacklists and economic threats. But its own deputy economy minister, Andrei Klepach, on Monday forecast that Russia’s first quarter economic growth will be zero and that $70 billion of capital will leave the country in developments he linked to “worsening of relations”.Russia’s state-owned Sberbank the same day said capital flight could reach $100 billion.

West, Russia signal line drawn in Ukraine crisis
By Jeff Mason and Katya Golubkova 4 hours ago-MAR 26,14-Yahoonews

THE HAGUE/MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia and the West drew a tentative line under the Ukraine crisis on Tuesday after U.S. President Barack Obama and his allies agreed to hold off on more damaging economic sanctions unless Moscow goes beyond the seizure of Crimea.Describing Russia as a "regional power" and not the biggest national security threat to the United States, Obama said Russian forces would not be removed militarily from Crimea, but the annexation of the Black Sea region was not a "done deal" because the international community would not recognize it."It is up to Russia to act responsibly and show itself once again to be willing to abide by international norms and ... if it fails to do so, there will be some costs," he told a news conference at the end of a nuclear security summit in The Hague. After scoffing at a decision by Obama and his Western allies to boycott a planned Group of Eight summit in Sochi in June and hold a G7 summit without Russia instead, the Kremlin said it was keen to maintain contact with G8 partners."The Russian side continues to be ready to have such contacts at all levels, including the top level. We are interested in such contacts," President Vladimir Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told Interfax news agency.

Obama said he was concerned at the possibility of further Russian "encroachment" into Ukraine and believed Putin was still "making a series of calculations". He insisted Russian speakers faced no threat in the country, contrary to Moscow's assertions. He urged Putin to let Ukrainians choose their own destiny free from intimidation, saying he was sure they would opt for good relations with both the European Union and Moscow rather than making a zero-sum choice for one against the other."Russia is a regional power that is threatening some of its immediate neighbors, not out of strength but out of weakness," Obama said. "We (the United States) have considerable influence on our neighbors. We generally don't need to invade them in order to have a strong cooperative relationship with them."Asked what was to stop a further Russian "land grab", the U.S. president drew a distinction between an attack on members of NATO, covered by its Article V mutual defense clause, and on non-members where the West could apply international pressure, shine a spotlight on those states and provide economic support.A senior administration official told reporters traveling with Obama on Air Force One to Brussels that "there's no question that NATO is prepared to defend any ally against any aggression."The official said that in Obama's talks on Wednesday with NATO's secretary general, "we'll be discussing very specifically what more can be done in terms of signaling concrete reassurance to our Eastern European allies."Previewing Obama's speech in Brussels on Wednesday, the official said the president "will speak about the importance of European security and not just the danger to the people of Ukraine, but the danger to the international system that Europe and the United States have invested so much in that is a consequence of Russia's actions."The ruble firmed and Russian assets climbed on Tuesday after Obama and fellow G7 leaders held back from new sanctions and investors took the view that the crisis had been contained for now.Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said the United States and European Union allies were aligned in their response, contrary to media reports that Washington was pushing reluctant Europeans fearful for their economic interests to get tougher.

CONCILIATORY GESTURES

Moscow made two conciliatory gestures on Monday after its deputy economy minister said up to $70 billion in capital may have fled his country in the first quarter of the year.Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met his Ukrainian counterpart, Andriy Deshchytsia, for the first time, even though Russia does not recognize the Kiev government.Moscow also allowed monitors from the pan-European security watchdog OSCE to begin work in Ukraine after prolonged wrangling over their mandate, which Russia says excludes Crimea. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said Deshchytsia protested at the annexation of Crimea. Lavrov said Russia did not intend to use force in eastern and southern regions of Ukraine, and "the two sides agreed not to fuel further escalation in the Crimea problem that could cause casualties", it said.Ukraine ordered its remaining forces in Crimea to withdraw for their own safety on Monday after Russian forces fired warning shots and used stun grenades when they stormed a marine base and a landing ship. There were no casualties. That order came too late to save the job of interim Defense Minister Ihor Tenyukh, sacked by parliament on Tuesday over his handling of the crisis, after it emerged that fewer than a quarter of soldiers in Crimea plan to stay in the military. Lawmakers elected Mykhailo Koval, head of the Ukrainian border guard, to replace Tenyukh. In the Perevalnoye base, 25 km (15 miles) southeast of the capital, Simferopol, somber-looking Ukrainian troops loaded a freight truck with furniture, clothes and kitchen appliances."We are not fleeing, but leaving to the mainland where we will continue to serve," said a soldier who identified himself only as Svyatoslav. "One cannot be a soldier without a country and we have to relocate," he said. But in the Belbek air base stormed four days ago, officers and soldiers refused to leave until the Russian military releases their commander, Colonel Yuliy Mamchur, who became a symbol of Ukrainian resistance in Crimea.According to his aides, Mamchur is being held in the Russian Black Sea Fleet's home port of Sevastopol.

IMF DEAL SOUGHT

Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksander Shlapak said he was negotiating with the International Monetary Fund for a loan package of $15 billion to $20 billion because the economy had been severely weakened by months of political turmoil and mismanagement. He forecast a 3 percent contraction in the economy this year.Obama also urged the IMF to reach agreement swiftly on a financial support package for Kiev, which would unlock additional aid from the European Union and Washington.Increasing the chances a Ukraine aid bill will get through the U.S. Congress, Senate Democrats agreed on Tuesday to drop language in their measure containing reforms to the IMF. There had been stiff opposition to the IMF measures in the Republican-led House of Representatives. The legislation backs a $1 billion loan guarantee for the government in Kiev, provides $150 million in aid for Ukraine and neighboring countries and requires sanctions on Russians and Ukrainians responsible for corruption, human rights abuses or undermining stability in Ukraine. The measure is now expected to pass through Congress relatively quickly and be sent to Obama to sign into law, as long as another dispute over whether to include increased natural gas exports in the bill does not hold it up again. Both the West and Russia sought to woo other key nations present in The Hague.Obama, who discussed the Ukraine crisis with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday, met President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan, which is part of a customs union with Russia but is also seeking to join the World Trade Organization.Nazarbayev, a ruling politburo member before the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, expressed understanding for Russia's position in a telephone call with Putin on March 10.Lavrov sought support from foreign ministers of the BRICS grouping of emerging economic powers - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. In a joint statement that did not mention Ukraine or take a position on the annexation of Crimea, they said: "The escalation of hostile language, sanctions and counter-sanctions, and force does not contribute to a sustainable and peaceful solution ..."European diplomats said tentative signs that Putin may have decided to go no farther than Crimea in his campaign to protect ethnic Russians in former Soviet republics may reflect concern about the mounting economic consequences. The crisis is also taking a toll in Western Europe. German business morale dropped for the first time in five months in March as firms in Europe's largest economy began to worry that a standoff with Russia and further sanctions over Ukraine would hurt them in a key market, the Munich-based Ifo institute said.(Additional reporting by William James and Steve Holland in The Hague, Lidia Kelly and Darya Korsunskaya in Moscow, Richard Balmforth in Kiev, Aleksandar Vasovic in Perevalnoye, Crimea, and Patricia Zengerle in Washington; Writing by Paul Taylor and Peter Cooney; Editing by Philippa Fletcher, Bernard Orr)

Kerry races against deadlines for Mideast peace
By MATTHEW LEE and LARA JAKES - MAR 25,14-Yahoonews

ROME (AP) — Hoping to salvage foundering Mideast peace negotiations, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is interrupting a trip to Europe with President Barack Obama to press Israeli and Palestinian leaders to stick with the talks beyond an April deadline. The meetings come at a critical time in the peace talks and against a looming April 30 deadline for a settlement. But the Palestinians have threatened to walk away before then unless Israel releases a batch of prisoners as it agreed to by March 29.The State Department announced Tuesday that Kerry will travel to Amman, Jordan, to meet with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday. Kerry also will talk with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, likely either by telephone or videoconference, in the next few days, said deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf. Kerry is currently in Rome to join Obama at a meeting Thursday with Pope Francis.Israel previously has released three groups of prisoners during the negotiations, moves that have been deeply unpopular with the Israeli public because the inmates were convicted of bloody crimes. But Israel has not said whether it will carry out the final release, which includes 14 Israeli Arabs, and is seeking assurances that the Palestinians will extend talks beyond April before doing so.The Palestinians say Israel already pledged to carry out the release and are seeking additional gestures, such as the release of high-profile prisoners or a settlement freeze before extending the talks. The U.S. has said it supports the prisoner release since it previously was agreed to between the two sides.Harf said she did not immediately know Tuesday whether the U.S. believes the Israeli Arabs should be released, as the Palestinians have demanded. Asked if the peace talks could fail if the prisoners are not released, she noted that both Israel and Palestinian officials agreed at the outset to negotiate through April."I think we're still certainly operating under that basis, and they're still negotiating in good faith under that basis," Harf told reporters. "Obviously we've said both parties have had to make courageous decisions throughout this process to keep the negotiations going, and we certainly hope that will continue."It's all but certain that no resolution will be reached in the peace process by the deadline that was set last July. Beyond the dispute over the prisoner release, both sides are still trying to settle sharp differences at the heart of their decades-long conflict, including disputes over territorial borders, security, refugees, the fate of east Jerusalem and whether Palestinians will recognize Israel as a Jewish state. The Arab League, meeting in Kuwait, is expected on Wednesday to reject Israel's demand for recognition as a Jewish state, according to a draft of the statement obtained by The Associated Press.___Jakes reported from Washington. Seoul: NKorea fires 2 ballistic missiles
By JUNG-YOON CHOI and FOSTER KLUG - MAR 25,14-Yahoonews

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea on Wednesday test-fired what appeared to be two mid-range ballistic missiles, South Korea said, hours after Pyongyang rivals South Korea, Japan and the United States met in the Netherlands to discuss the country.Such a launch would be a violation of U.N. resolutions and a big step up from a series of shorter-range rocket launches the North has staged in recent weeks in apparent protest of ongoing annual military drills by Washington and Seoul that the North claims are invasion preparation. It also comes on the fourth anniversary of the deadly sinking of a South Korean warship that Seoul and other nations blame on a North Korean torpedo. Pyongyang denies involvement in the sinking, which killed 46 sailors.A South Korean military official said two likely Rodong missiles flew about 650 kilometers (403 miles) off North Korea's east coast early Wednesday. It wasn't immediately clear where the missiles splashed down. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of office rules. The launch followed a meeting on Tuesday of U.S. President Barack Obama, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and South Korean President Park Geun-hye. It was Park and Abe's first face-to-face meeting since they both took office more than a year ago. Many in Asia are angry over Japan's treatment of historical issues related to Tokyo's 20th century colonization of the Korean Peninsula and World War II.Addressing the media before the meeting, the leaders focused on the security threat posed by North Korea.Since pulling out of six-party talks aimed at ending its nuclear program in exchange for financial assistance in 2009, North Korea has conducted long-range rocket and nuclear tests.A North Korean diplomat on Monday criticized the U.S. for conducting military exercises near its borders and accused the U.S. of undermining prospects for undermining the prospect of improved relations with South Korea.Last year, North Korea responded to the annual U.S.-South Korean military drills by threatening nuclear strikes on Washington and Seoul. Analysts say the impoverished North chafes against the drills because it has to spend precious resources responding with its own exercises. The Korean Peninsula remains officially at war because the Korean War ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty.

Arms for Syria war dominate Arab summit debate
By Omar Hasan 3 hours ago- MAR 25,14-Yahoonews

Kuwait City (AFP) - Syria's opposition called for "sophisticated" arms at an Arab summit in Kuwait Tuesday while Saudi Arabia said the military balance needed to change to "end the impasse" in Syria's civil war.But UN-Arab League peace envoy Lakhdar Brahimi insisted on the need for a "political solution" to the three-year conflict, urging an "end to the supply of arms to all parties."Opposition Syrian National Coalition chief Ahmed Jarba repeated calls on the international Community to supply rebels with "sophisticated weapons" as the two-day summit opened."I do not ask you for a declaration of war," said Jarba, urging Arab leaders to put pressure on world powers to fulfil pledges to supply arms.Saudi Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, whose country is a key backer of the rebellion against President Bashar al-Assad, said the world was "betraying" rebels by failing to arm them and leaving them as "easy prey."A solution to the conflict, in which regime forces have recently made significant advances, requires a "change in the balance on the ground to end the impasse," he said.National Coalition spokesman Louay Safi said rebels urgently needed "anti-aircraft missiles" to defend against barrel bombs that regime forces have been raining down on fighters and civilians alike. The conflict in Syria, which entered a fourth year on March 15, has killed more than 146,000 people and displaced millions.Meanwhile, Jarba said a decision not to hand over Syria's seat in the Arab League to the opposition sends a wrong message to Assad, telling him to continue "to kill.""Let me say quite frankly that keeping Syria's seat empty... sends a clear message to Assad that he can kill and that the seat will wait for him," he said. The government's brutal repression of protests that erupted in March 2011, which led to the war, resulted in its suspension from the 22-member Cairo-based Arab League.- No military solution: Brahimi -Brahimi urged a revival of peace talks."I call upon Europe, the United Nations and the United States to take clear steps to reactivate the Geneva talks," which broke off on February 15.

"There is no military solution," he stressed.

On the humanitarian front, the president Lebanon, one of several Syrian neighbours dealing with refugees, told the evening session his country was overburdened by the influx and called for help.Michel Sleiman said Lebanon was no longer capable of accepting more Syrian refugees. who now make up 32 percent of the population. He warned without elaborating that, if Beirut does not receive help, "we may look into legal ways to stop their influx."Meanwhile, a regional rift over Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood has been kept off the summit agenda. But Egyptian President Adli Mansur called for interior and justice ministers meet before the end of June to activate the Arab counter-terrorism treaty.Mansour made no specific mention of the Muslim Brotherhood of his ousted predecessor Mohamed Morsi, which Cairo designated a terrorist organisation in December. But he told the summit it was vital that League members extradite and not give shelter to "terrorists" wanted by fellow member states. That was a veiled reference to Qatar, accused of harbouring fugitive Brotherhood leaders.Relations between Egypt and Qatar have nosedived since the army's overthrow of Morsi last July. And Qatar's support for the Brotherhood has strained ties with fellow Gulf states -- Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates -- who withdrew their ambassadors from Doha earlier this month.Kuwait's emir, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, told the summit these rifts are threatening Arab aspirations and insisted that "we are required to resolve these disputes... and achieve unity."But Kuwaiti foreign ministry undersecretary Khaled al-Jarallah said the dispute would "be resolved within the Gulf house," not at the summit. On the Palestinian issue, Arab leaders are expected to call for $100 million (72.5 million euros) in monthly aid for the Palestinian Authority and to reject demands by Israel that Palestinians recognise it as a Jewish state.Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas, fresh from talks with US President Barack Obama in Washington last week, told the summit that Palestinians "reject even discussing the issue."He warned of Israeli plans to divide Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque, highly revered by Muslims worldwide, between Jews and Muslims "which we totally reject."

El Nino likely in 2014, says Australian Bureau of Meteorology-MAR 25,14-Yahoonews

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Climate models show an increased chance of a 2014 El Nino weather event, said Australia's bureau of meteorology, leading to possible droughts in Southeast Asia and Australia and floods in South America, which could hit key rice, wheat and sugar crops. The Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) said an El Nino could occur during the southern hemisphere winter, May-July, with Australian cattle and grain farmers already struggling with drought which has cut production. The last El Nino in 2009/10 was categorized weak to moderate. The most severe El Nino was in 1998 when freak weather killed more than 2,000 people and caused billions of dollars in damage to crops, infrastructure and mines in Australia and other parts of Asia."The latest climate model survey by the shows that the tropical Pacific is very likely to warm in the coming months, with most models showing sea surface temperatures reaching El Nino thresholds during the southern hemisphere winter," the BOM said in an emailed statement.Australia's outlook echoes similar forecasts from other weather bureaus in Japan and the United States, which each said an El Nino was increasingly like.(Reporting by Colin Packham)

Malaysia Airlines MH370: live THE TELEGRAPH
Anger and disbelief among relatives after Malaysian prime minister says evidence shows plane went down in Indian Ocean and that all lives were lost.

Latest-MAR 24,14 - IT WAS ANNOUNCED ALL DIED IN THE INDIAN OCEAN

21.08 Our correspondent Jonathan Pearlman reports from Kuala Lumpur quoting well-placed sources that no malfunction or fire was capable of causing MH370’s unusual flight and it in fact went down over the southern Indian Ocean in an apparent suicide mission.

Quote The team investigating the Boeing 777’s disappearance believe no malfunction or fire was capable of causing the aircraft’s unusual flight or the disabling of its communications system before it veered wildly off course on a seven hour silent flight into the sea. An analysis of the flight’s routing, signalling and communications shows that it was flown “in a rational way”.

An official source told The Telegraph that investigators believe “this has been a deliberate act by someone on board who had to have had the detailed knowledge to do what was done ... Nothing is emerging that points to motive.”

Asked about the possibility of a plane malfunction or an on-board fire, the source said: “It just does not hinge together..... [The investigators] have gone through processes you do to get the plane where it flew to for eight hours. They point to it being flown in a rational way.”

20.37 Blog post by the New Yorker entitled 'The End of the Beginning of the MH370 Mystery' on the false closure experienced by the relatives of the dead.

Quote We will no doubt hear that, for those whose loved ones vanished without explanation sixteen days ago, this moment represents some intimation of that elusive quantity known as closure, however painful its arrival. But that conclusion seems doubly false: too much about how and why their relatives died remains to be determined, and even that knowledge, when it eventually surfaces, will still feel insufficient to the scale of their losses. But, whatever closure consists of, it describes a process rather than a point; today, at least, that process can begin.

Chinese families clash with police, slam Malaysia over lost plane
By Megha Rajagopalan and Al-Zaquan Amer Hamzah -MAR 25,14--Yahoonews

BEIJING/KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Dozens of angry relatives of passengers on a lost Malaysian jetliner clashed with police in Beijing on Tuesday, accusing the Southeast Asian country of "delays and deception" a day after it confirmed the plane crashed in remote seas off Australia.About 20 to 30 protesters threw water bottles at the Malaysian embassy and tried to storm the building, demanding to meet the ambassador, witnesses said. Earlier, the relatives, many with tear-stained faces, had linked arms and chanted "Malaysian government has cheated us" and "Malaysia, return our relatives" as they marched peacefully and held banners. The relatives' grief and anger was unleashed on Monday night after Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak announced that Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, which vanished more than two weeks ago while flying to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur, had crashed in the southern Indian Ocean.Citing satellite-data analysis by British firm Inmarsat, he said there was now no doubt that the Boeing jet came down in the ocean in one of the most remote places on Earth - an implicit admission that all 239 people on board had died.Bad weather in the region far off Australia's western coast on Tuesday forced the suspension of the search for any wreckage, just as a series of satellite images and other sightings of floating objects had raised hopes that debris from the plane would be found.Malaysia's confused initial response to the Boeing 777's disappearance and a perception of poor communications has enraged many relatives of the more than 150 Chinese passengers and strained ties between Beijing and Kuala Lumpur. After Najib's announcement, Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Xie Hangsheng demanded Malaysia hand over all relevant satellite analysis showing how Malaysia had reached its conclusion about the fate of the jet.

ANGER, GRIEF

A group reportedly representing families issued a statement describing the Malaysian airline, government and military as "executioners" who constantly tried to delay and deceive them."We will take every possible means to pursue the unforgivable crimes and responsibility of all three," said the statement on the microblog of the Malaysia Airlines MH370 Family Committee. The relatives protesting in Beijing held signs that said: "MH370, Don't let us wait too long!" and "1.3 billion people are waiting to greet the plane". They wore matching t-shirts that said: "Best of luck to MH370, return home safely.""We've waited for 18 days and still, you make us wait. How long are we supposed to hang on?" a woman surnamed Zhang told Reuters. The protest ended after a few hours, when police told protesters to get on buses and escorted them away.Criticism of the Malaysian national carrier mounted after some relatives of those on board first received the news that the search for survivors was over in an SMS from the airline, which said: "We have to assume beyond all reasonable doubt that MH370 has been lost and none of those on board survived."At a news conference at Kuala Lumpur's international airport on Tuesday, company officials defended the move, saying the text message had only been sent as a "last resort" to ensure that some relatives did not hear the news first from media."This is a time of extraordinary emotions and we fully understand," said Malaysia Airlines Chairman Mohd Nur Yusof. "In fact, we really feel for the next of kin. In terms of how they react, it's emotional."Asked whether he would resign over the crisis, the airline's chief executive, Ahmad Jauhari Yahya, said that would be a "personal decision" to be made at a later time.

WRECKAGE COULD HOLD KEY

Flight MH370 vanished from civilian radar screens less than an hour after taking off on March 8. No confirmed debris from the plane has been found since.Investigators believe someone on the flight may have shut off the plane's communications systems. Partial military radar tracking showed it turning west and re-crossing the Malay Peninsula, apparently under the control of a skilled pilot.Recovery of wreckage could unlock clues about why the plane had diverted so far off course. Theories range from a hijacking to sabotage or a possible suicide by one of the pilots, but investigators have not ruled out technical problems. An international air and sea search in the area on Monday spotted several floating objects that might be parts of the plane and an Australian navy ship was close to finding possible debris, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said. But the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) said gale-force winds, heavy rain and low cloud meant planes could not fly safely to the zone on Tuesday, and waves of 6 meters (20ft) or more forced the navy ship from the area. The search site is far from commercial flight paths about 2,500 km (1,550 miles) southwest of Perth, a region of deep, frigid seas known as the Roaring 40s where storm-force winds and huge waves are commonplace.Malaysia Airlines said in a statement that it would make arrangements to fly relatives to Australia once it had approval from the investigating authorities.Australia's Immigration Minister Scott Morrison said his department was working with the airline and Beijing to facilitate visas. Relatives would be given tourist visas with the usual fees waived, he said.

COSTLY, DIFFICULT INVESTIGATION

Najib's announcement opens the way for what will be one of the most costly and difficult air crash investigations ever. Normally, an official investigation can only begin once a crash site has been identified. That would give Malaysia power to coordinate and sift evidence.A government source told Reuters that Malaysia would lead the investigation, but hoped other countries, especially Australia, would play a major role. The United States said it was sending an undersea Navy drone to Australia, in addition to a high-tech black box detector, to help in the search. The so-called black boxes - the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder - record what happens during flight. Black boxes carry locator beacons but they fade out after 30 days.Najib said Inmarsat had performed further calculations on data gleaned from faint pings picked up by satellite that initially only narrowed the search area to two massive arcs. That was not enough for some of the relatives. "There was no evidence," a protester at the Malaysian Embassy surnamed Wang told Reuters. "It was just based on analysis from the satellite data and nothing found. Why would we believe it? They are the executors!': Grieving families of Flight MH370 passengers launch scathing attack against 'despicable' Malaysian authorities-Mar 24, 2014 21:41-By Anthony Bond-MIRROR-The strongly-worded family statement comes after they were told the missing Malaysian Airlines flight must be assumed lost with everybody on board dead

The families of passengers onboard missing Flight MH370 have tonight launched a scathing attack against the Malaysian authorities.A strongly-worded statement released by the families comes after they were told the missing Malaysian Airlines flight must be assumed lost with everybody on board dead.As reported by Sky News, it reads: "During the past 18 days since March 8, when Malaysia Airlines announced that it had lost contact with MH370, Malaysia Airlines, the government of Malaysia, and the military forces of Malaysia have concealed, delayed and hidden the truth from the relatives and the people of the world."This despicable act aimed to fool the relatives of the 154 Chinese passengers has devastated us physically and mentally, while misleading and delaying the rescue operation, wasting a lot of manpower, material resources and leading to the loss of precious rescue time."If the 154 of our loved ones have lost their lives, then Malaysia Airlines, the government of Malaysia and the military are really the executors."

FOR ALL THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS FOLLOW OUR LIVE BLOG

At an emergency press conference today, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said that it is "with deep sadness and regret" that new data shows the flight "ended in the southern Indian Ocean".He also said everybody on board is presumed dead.Families were left heartbroken after having their worst fears confirmed by a text message from Malaysia Airlines saying 'nobody survived'.Relatives of the 239 passengers and crew could be heard screaming and shouting after being told the plane went down in the Indian Ocean.Paramedics were sent in to try and comfort the devastated families, who are being offered flights to Australia, where searches will continue.Malaysia Airlines sent this text message to relatives: "Malaysia Airlines deeply regrets that we have to assume beyond any reasonable doubt that MH370 has been lost and that none of those on board survived."As you will hear in the next hour from Malaysia's Prime Minister, we must now accept all evidence suggests the plane went down in the Southern Indian Ocean." Malaysia Airlines later added in a statement: "Malaysia Airlines did not ONLY send an SMS."The message was conveyed to all families face to face by our top management at the hotels."SMS and phone calls were made to those who are not in the hotels via our family support centre."We wanted to ensure that families are informed via all channels."The new information came after further tests of data by British-based satellite company Inmarsat, which concluded that MH370 crashed into the sea, thousands of miles off course. It wasn't close to any possible landing sites, said the PM, and was in the southern Indian Ocean to the west of Perth.Investigators are still searching for any debris from wreckage and, crucially, the black box.
Razak said families had been informed of the latest developments by Malaysia Airlines. He said: "The last two weeks have been heartbreaking. This news must be harder still."There will be a further press conference tomorrow with more details, he added, from the press conference held in Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia says jet crashed in sea; bad weather halts search
By Lincoln Feast and Niluksi Koswanage -MAR 24,14-Yahoonews

SYDNEY/KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Bad weather and rough seas on Tuesday forced the suspension of the search for any wreckage of a missing Malaysian jetliner that officials are now sure crashed in the remote Indian Ocean with the loss of all 239 people on board.Citing groundbreaking satellite-data analysis by British firm Inmarsat, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said on Monday that Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, which vanished more than a fortnight ago while flying to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur, had crashed thousands of miles away in the southern Indian Ocean.Recovery of wreckage could unlock clues about why the plane had diverted so far off course. Investigators suspect a possible suicide, but have not found any sign of a motive.A massive international air and sea search in the area on Monday spotted several floating objects that might be parts of the plane and an Australian navy ship was close to finding possible debris, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott. But the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) said gale-force winds, heavy rain and low cloud meant planes could not fly safely to the zone on Tuesday, and heavy seas meant an Australian navy ship was leaving the area." AMSA has consulted with the Bureau of Meteorology and weather conditions are expected to improve in the search area in the evening and over the next few days. Search operations are expected to resume tomorrow, if weather conditions permit," AMSA said in a statement. The search site is about 2,500 km (1,550 miles) southwest of Perth, in one of the most remote parts of the world."This is a remote location, far from any possible landing sites," Malaysia's Najib said. "It is therefore, with deep sadness and regret, that I must inform you that, according to this new data, Flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean."

COSTLY DIFFICULT INVESTIGATION

Najib's announcement opens the way for what will be one of the most costly and difficult air crash investigations ever. Normally, an official investigation can only begin once a crash site has been identified. That would give Malaysia power to coordinate and sift evidence. Malaysia has faced heavy criticism over the progress of the search and its informal investigation, especially from China which had more than 150 citizens on board the plane.Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Xie Hangsheng immediately demanded Malaysia hand over all relevant satellite-data analysis showing how Malaysia had reached its conclusion about the fate of the jet.The United States said it was sending an undersea Navy drone to Australia, in addition to a high-tech black box detector, to help search the cold, deep and stormy waters. The so-called black boxes - the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder - record what happens during flight. Black boxes carry locator beacons but they fade out after 30 days.Flight MH370 vanished from civilian radar screens less than an hour after taking off on March 8. No confirmed sighting of the plane has been made since.Investigators believe someone on the flight may have shut off the plane's communications systems. Partial military radar tracking showed it turning west and re-crossing the Malay Peninsula, apparently under the control of a skilled pilot. That led them to focus on hijacking or sabotage, but investigators have not ruled out technical problems.

SMS TEXT

Some relatives of those on board first received the news that the search for survivors was over in a Malaysia Airlines SMS message which said: "We have to assume beyond all reasonable doubt that MH370 has been lost and none of those on board survived."There were hysterical scenes at the Beijing hotel where many of the relatives of those on board were staying.Najib said Inmarsat had been performing further calculations on data gleaned from faint pings picked up by satellite that initially only narrowed the search area to two massive arcs. The Inmarsat analysis had narrowed the search area "but it's still a big area that they have to search", said Stephen Wood, CEO of All Source Analysis, a satellite analytic firm.(Additional reporting by Ben Blanchard, Megha Rajagopalan and Joseph Campbell in Beijing, Stuart Grudgings, Michael Martina, Siva Govindasamy and A.Ananthalakshmi in Kuala Lumpur; Jane Wardell in Sydney and Matt Siegel in Perth; Editing by Mark Bendeich)

ISAIAH 24:1-4
1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word.
4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.

Residents fear higher death toll after Washington state mudslide
By Jonathan Kaminsky 9 minutes ago-MAR 25,14-Yahoonews

ARLINGTON, Washington (Reuters) - Ruth Hargrave held back her emotions as she gazed at an aerial photograph of her neighborhood showing how it had looked before a monstrous landslide ripped through it, killing 14 people and leaving scores more missing. The 67-year-old retiree, who fears the home she bought near the tiny town of Oso some 15 years ago was among the dozens swept away, conjured images of her neighbors buried in the muck."Right here is the firefighter whose wife and baby granddaughter are missing," Hargrave told Reuters as she pointed to houses now swept away by the cascading mud.Hargrave's community in this rural stretch of Washington state is bracing for a higher death toll as up to 176 people remain missing, and emergency officials have expressed doubts about finding any more survivors.Pete Bellomo said he feared his daughter, Shelley, and her longtime partner, Jerry, would not be found alive."No, no, I don't think there's any chance of that ... but I haven't been informed of anything yet," Bellomo told the Seattle Times newspaper. The slide tore through an area near Oso, one of a number of small communities dotting a stretch of two-lane highway along with farm stands, gas stations and craggy views of the Cascade Range. Fisherman ply the North Fork of the Stillaguamish River for steelhead and logging trucks run east toward Darrington.

TREACHEROUS CONDITIONS

A crude dam of mud and rubble dumped into the river by the slide was building up in the area along State Route 530, about 55 miles northeast of Seattle.President Barack Obama has signed an emergency declaration ordering U.S. government help to supplement state and local relief efforts after the mudslide and flooding.Several dozen homes were believed to have sustained extensive damage in the slide, officials said. More than 100 properties were hit by the cascading earth, 49 of which had a house, cabin or mobile home on them. At least 25 of those homes were believed to have been occupied all year round."Family members are grieving, trying to focus on finding missing loved ones or working through the process of rebuilding what was lost," Washington state Governor Jay Inslee said. There were more than 100 rescuers on the ground during the day on Monday, some with dogs, others using earth-moving equipment. Aircraft were also used to scan the debris. The rescue operation was often treacherous, with quicksand-like conditions forcing workers to suspend their efforts late on Sunday. Some had to be dragged to safety from the thick mud.No survivors have been pulled out since Saturday. On Monday, an elderly couple stood across from the police department building in Arlington, about 10 miles southwest of the disaster site, waiting for an update on the search effort. The couple, who declined to give their names, were hoping for some word of their daughter, whose house had been directly in the path of the avalanche. The announcement was postponed. They walked away somberly.(Writing by Eric M. Johnson in Seattle; Editing by Gareth Jones)

POISONED WATERS

HOSEA 4:1-3
1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land,(EARTH) because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2  By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
3  Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

ZEPHANIAH 1:2-3
2  I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the LORD.

EZEKIEL 32:6-9
6  I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of thee.
7  And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.
8  All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord GOD.
9  I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known.

REVELATION 8:8-11

9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood:(bitter,Poisoned) and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.(poisoned)

Houston ship lane remains shut as cleanup drags on; Exxon cuts output
By Erwin Seba - MAR 25,14-Yahoonews

TEXAS CITY, Texas (Reuters) - The closure of the vital Houston Ship Channel looked set to extend to a fourth day after the Coast Guard struggled to finish cleaning up after an oil barge spill on Monday, threatening to force deeper production cuts at local refiners.Earlier on Monday, the Coast Guard had told ship operators that it should be able to reopen the waterway later in the day, resuming at least some supply of crude oil to more than one-tenth of the nation's refining capacity."We will begin the process of a tapered ... not a floodgate resumption of marine traffic," Captain Brian Penoyer, commander of U.S. Coast Guard sector Houston-Galveston and captain of the Port of Houston, told reporters on Monday."We anticipate re-opening the Houston Ship Channel as soon as we can," he said. However the Port of Houston was still shut by evening, officials said, with the queue of waiting vessels growing to more than 90.Penoyer explained that traffic can't move again until there's no more oil in the water to cling to ships and be carried further. Also, any ships that were touched must be cleaned before moving through water deemed sufficiently clean. The closure of the channel on Saturday has led to a queue of more than 90 vessels trying to move into or out of the Gulf of Mexico. Shipping delays forced Exxon Mobil Corp to cut production at the nation's second-largest refinery.Exxon said production at its 560,500 barrel per day Baytown, Texas, refinery had been cut on Monday due to the closure of the Houston Ship Channel. The company expects further production cuts by mid-week if the channel remains shut.

INVENTORIES CONSIDERED AMPLE

Analysts on Monday were largely unconcerned, noting that ample inventories in the region provide a cushion for refiners. But a senior engineer at a Houston-area refinery that depends on crude deliveries through the ship channel was concerned about the requirement that the water be cleaned of any thick fuel oil before ships run back and forth to ensure they don't track it further upstream or into the Gulf."We're toast," the engineer said. "I would say this is a big problem. Any delay is bad, but three days or more is really bad because we use the channel to bring crude and products in and out."The ship channel was shut on Saturday after a collision between a Kirby Inland Marine oil barge and a cargo ship, spilling some 4,000 barrels, or 168,000 gallons (636,000 liters), of residual fuel oil. The channel allows oil barges and cargo ships to sail from the Gulf Coast to refiners and terminals further inland.Penoyer said the thick viscosity of the oil made it recoverable by skimmers.A total of 46 ships were waiting to leave the port of Houston and 47 ships were waiting to come in, the Coast Guard said on Monday afternoon. Penoyer said a typical day in the channel includes movement of 60 to 80 large ships - tankers, freighters, containers and cruise ships - and 300 to 400 tug and barge movements.A warning to mariners issued by the Coast Guard on Sunday said portions of the Houston channel and its offshoots to Texas City and Galveston, Texas, along with a portion of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, could be closed through March 29 or longer, depending on the requirements of a cleanup.Five ships waited to come into the ports of Texas City and Galveston, Texas, and 12 ships waited to leave the ports, the Coast Guard said.Kirby Inland Marine is operated by Kirby Corp.Penoyer said Kirby "immediately" stepped forward to take responsibility for the response costs by hiring the cleanup crews. Cleanup crews have pumped all of the remaining fuel oil from the barge, which has been refloated and moved to a different position near the site of the collision in the channel.Marathon Petroleum Corp. declined on Monday to discuss operations at its 451,000-bpd Galveston Bay Refinery and 80,000-bpd Texas City refinery. Royal Dutch Shell's joint-venture 327,000 bpd Deer Park refinery was evaluating supply impacts and had contingency plans to mitigate them, a spokeswoman said.Fewer than 10 oil-covered birds have been recovered for cleaning, according Texas wildlife agencies.(Reporting by Erwin Seba in Houston, Selam Gebrekidan in New York, Terry Wade in Orlando; Editing by Jeffrey Benkoe, Stephen Powell, Bernard Orr and Cynthia Osterman and Michael Perry)
