Canadian Economy Gains Steam, But More Balanced Growth Needed

Canada’s economy is expected to grow to 2¼ percent in 2014—up from an estimated 1¾ percent in 2013—and the pickup in exports and business investment will generate more balanced, sustainable growth, said the IMF in its regular assessment of the country’s economy.The Canadian economy strengthened in 2013 after a subdued performance in 2012. But underlying growth has remained modest and the composition of growth does not yet point to the much needed rebalancing from household consumption and residential construction toward exports and business investment, the report said.Looking ahead to 2014, the IMF expects Canada’s export growth to benefit from the projected upswing in the U.S. recovery. As demand and capacity utilization increase, business investment is expected to strengthen, particularly spending on machinery and equipment.

Significant risks
But the IMF pointed out that downside risks remain, primarily from external factors.
The biggest risk is from overshooting of long-term interest rates following the Fed’s exit from quantitative easing, which would hinder the pickup in economic activity in the United States. Another risk is a protracted weakness in the euro area economic recovery, which could hurt Canada mainly through confidence and financial channels, as well as through indirect trade links. The IMF also mentioned the possibility of lower-than-expected growth in emerging markets, which would lower commodity prices.In addition, the IMF said that high household debt and house prices could amplify the growth impact of adverse external shocks. 
Interest rates kept low
The IMF saw room to maintain the current highly accommodative monetary policy stance for a longer period than anticipated a year ago, given the low inflation rate, greater output gap, looming downside risks, and the ongoing moderation of the housing market.The slowing trends in construction activity, house prices, and household credit, together with the projected increase in long-term rates as the U.S. Fed gradually exits from its monetary easing, also give the Bank of Canada more room to wait before raising policy rates.
Fiscal policy supports growth
The report emphasized that fiscal policy should strike the right balance between supporting growth and curbing spending. At the federal level, continued progress in fiscal consolidation is appropriate to rebuild the room for fiscal maneuver used during the crisis, but there is room to delay the adjustment needed to return to a balanced budget in 2015 if there is no meaningful increase in economic growth.At the provincial level, there has been less progress in reducing fiscal deficits, and some provinces may need to consider additional measures, especially on the revenue side, to return to a balanced budget.
Housing prices still overvalued
The report noted that household debt remains high and, while house prices and construction growth have cooled off, high valuations and excess supply in a number of housing markets are sources of vulnerability. But if house prices and mortgage credit growth heat up on a more widespread and sustained basis, additional measures, such as higher down-payment requirements for first-time buyers, may be needed.Over the longer term, rethinking the role of government-backed mortgage insurance may reduce the government exposure to housing sector risks and lead to a more efficient allocation of resources.

The IMF noted that Canada’s banking system is well capitalized, profitable, and nonperforming loans are low, but it urged the government to remain vigilant against the potential risks from the prolonged period of low interest rates. The recent financial sector assessment (FSAP) of Canada provides recommendations for the country on how to strengthen its financial system.

A statue lost for centuries was found in the Gaza Strip, seized by police and has since disappeared from public view.The statue of the Greek god Apollo is at least 2,000 years old – made sometime between the 5th and 1st centuries BC. Joudat Ghrab, 26, a local fisherman, said he saw the half-ton statue on the seafloor of the Mediterranean in August and brought it home. The statue was posted on eBay briefly for $500,000 – well below its estimated value of $20 million to $40 million -- before it was taken by the Islamist group Hamas, Reuters reports."It's unique. In some ways I would say it is priceless. It's like people asking what is the [value] of the painting La Gioconda [the Mona Lisa] in the Louvre museum," Jean-Michel de Tarragon, a historian with the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem, said. "It's very, very rare to find a statue which is not in marble or in stone, but in metal."While archeologists have yet to examine the rare statue firsthand, based on the images that show the statue was well-preserved, experts say it was most likely recovered on land, not in the sea."This wasn't found on the seashore or in the sea ... it is very clean. No, it was [found] inland and dry," de Tarragon said about the six-foot-tall statue, adding that the metal would have been disfigured or barnacles present if it had been found in water.But Ghrab defends his story, adding that he thought the statue was a badly burned body before he dove down and discovered it was actually a “treasure.”"I felt it was something gifted to me by God," Ghrab told Reuters. "My financial situation is very difficult and I am waiting for my reward." Ghrab admits to cutting off one of the statue’s fingers to have the metal appraised. His brothers also severed fingers that were melted down by a jeweler.Family members belonging to Hamas soon took possession of the statue. Officials from Gaza’s tourism ministry told Reuters the statue will not be displayed publicly until a criminal investigation is completed on who tried to sell the item online."It is a precious treasure, an important archaeological discovery," Ahmed Al-Bursh, the ministry's director of archaeology, said. "International institutions have also contacted us and have offered to help with the repair process."The last time a find reminiscent of the latest Apollo statue was in 1996 when a recreational diver in Croatia spotted an ancient bronze statue of an athlete. The government restored it and displayed it on an international museum tour.The Apollo statue is stuck in a bit of a quandary. The Gaza Strip, a coastal Palestinian territory, is controlled by the militant Islamist group Hamas – making the purchase of the Apollo statue limited since it would be considered violating international sanctions against financing terrorism, Bloomberg BusinessWeek reports. If the statue was smuggled, it would be a challenge. The Gaza Strip not only shares heavily armed borders with Israel and Egypt but its coastline is also under heavy guard by the Israeli Navy. If the statue remains in the Gaza Strip, it would not become a tourist attractio, because Hamas’ fundamentalist principles condemn nudity.“This case is fiendishly difficult,” Sam Hardy, a British archaeologist who runs the website Conflict Antiquities, said. “National and international laws make it difficult to assist the administration in the West Bank, let alone that in the Gaza Strip. Indeed, any sale or leasing of the statue might normalize looting of antiquities as a funding stream for Hamas.”

UK Floods Could Last Months, Scientist Warns

Scientists have told Sky News that groundwater levels are now so high that parts of Britain face a serious risk of flooding for weeks or even months to come.Andy McKenzie, a groundwater scientist at the British Geological Survey, told Sky News that even if the rain stopped today, so much water is soaking through the soil that levels are likely to keep rising for another two months.The risk of flooding could remain high until May, he said.Figures exclusively revealed to Sky News show that boreholes used to measure the height of the water table are overflowing in many areas, with the highest levels ever recorded.According to the data from the British Geological Survey nine of the 14 boreholes in southern England are now showing "exceptionally high levels".At Chilgrove House in Sussex the groundwater level at the end of January beat records going back 179 years.And at a borehole at The Well House Inn in Surrey the extraordinary rainfall has pushed up the water table by 20 metres in the last two weeks.The British Geological Survey estimates 1.6 million properties in England and Wales are at risk of groundwater flooding.They tend to be in low-lying areas where water is pushed up through rocks. They can be in normally dry areas, far from rivers and streams.The Environment Agency (EA) has already issued groundwater flood alerts  for parts of south London, Kent, Surrey, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset.The EA warns that cellars are likely to flood, and if groundwater seeps into sewers, there could be pollution. Roads could also be closed by rising water levels.In the winter of 2000-01 groundwater flooding of the Patcham area of Brighton cost £800,000 and cut off the London to Brighton railway line.

Water flowing underground is also likely to mean the Somerset Levels will remain flooded well into the Spring.Sky News descended through a pothole in the Mendip Hills to access a network of caves that stretches for several miles.Huge volumes of water are cascading through the tunnels, heading for the low-lying areas.Andy Sparrow of Caveclimb has been exploring the system for several decades. He said he has never seen it so wet for so long.With more storms forecast this week, and no sign the jet stream is moving north to its normal position, large areas of Britain are at risk of further flooding.

More than 1,500 members of Britain's armed forces have been put on standby to help communities wrecked by flooding, as David Cameron told the hundreds of home owners forced to flee their homes: "We're in for a long haul."The Prime Minister is expected to hold a press conference in London tonight after returning from his overnight tour of England's south west, where homes have been wrecked and the train route connecting Cornwall with the rest of the country has collapsed.More than 1,000 people have been forced to leave their homes in the south west and Thames Valley, with many more braced to evacuate in the coming days as weeks of heavy rainfall shows no signs of abating.Speaking on his trip to beleaguered South West communities, Mr Cameron said: "We have to recognise it's going to take time before we get things back to normal."We're in for a long haul, but the Government will do everything we can to coordinate the nation's resources."If money needs to be spent, it will be spent; if resources are required, we will provide them; if the military can help, they will be there. We must do everything, but it's going to take time to put these things right."Hundreds of military personnel have been drafted in to help in the worst-affected areas, as politicians and agencies get embroiled in a war of words prompted by residents' anger at a perceived lack of action.
Around 400 weather warnings remain in place across England, with forecasters predicting further heavy rainfall on already-saturated ground.In some cases, desperate home-owners reported having their vacant homes looted, while others said sandbags intended for the worst-hit areas were "hijacked".Last night more than 70 people were evacuated from their homes in the Thames Valley - tipping the number over the 1,000 mark since the end of January.And Communities Secretary Eric Pickles told MPs there was a high risk that the River Severn and River Wye would also break their banks, further stretching resources.The Met Office's Sarah Davies told a briefing that strong winds forecast for the middle of the week could add to the problems facing the country - with snow reported today in pockets of the Midlands.Some 20-40mm (0.75-1.5 inches) of rain is expected by Friday night across many southern and western areas.But some regions, including the already flood-hit south west of England, South Wales, western Scotland and Northern Ireland could have up to 70mm (2.75 inches).A storm due to hit tomorrow could fell trees and cause transport and power disruption, Ms Davies warned, with winds in the South West potentially reaching 80mph.Defence Secretary Philip Hammond was tackled by residents in the Berkshire community of Wraysbury, who said they were "seriously in need" of military intervention.Mr Hammond told the BBC that the "Government has got a grip on this" but authorities cannot "prevent the course of nature".Mr Hammond, whose constituency of Runnymede and Weybridge has been affected by the flooding, said now was not the time to discuss how well the Environment Agency has dealt with the situation.He told BBC Breakfast: "Of course the Environment Agency - obviously under enormous pressure - is doing everything it can to manage this situation."Of course there will be longer-term questions about policy on the way flooding defences are managed, on, for example, the policy of river dredging, and the time to discuss them is when the waters have gone down, when we've gone back to normal."The Ministry of Defence said hundreds of military personnel were involved in attempts to help beleaguered communities.A spokesman said Mr Hammond offered the services of military personnel to assist flood relief efforts in Wraysbury.Currently, 100 members of Z Company The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers are now arriving in the area, while m arines from 40 Commando continue to provide assistance to Somerset County Council by carrying out a variety of manual labour tasks such as filling and moving sandbags and moving residents' possessions to safety.Approximately 30 personnel are at Chesil Beach in Dorset and are supporting the Environment Agency by repairing the flood defences using military bulldozers and excavators.A military spokesman said: "A number of military planners are working with relevant agencies at a range of locations to scope what further support the military can offer.

The Palestinian Authority’s Religious Affairs Minister said Jerusalem’s Western Wall, the holiest site in Judaism outside the Temple Mount, must be brought under Palestinian sovereignty in any peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.In an interview with Channel 10 News, Mahmoud al-Habash said “every inch” of territory captured by Israel in 1967’s Six Day War is Palestinian land and must be given to the Palestinians.“Every piece of land Israel occupied in 1967 belongs to the Palestinian state,” al-Habash said. “The Buraq Wall too will be under Palestinian sovereignty,” he said, using the Muslim name for the wall.
Al-Habash added that Jewish worshippers would be allowed to pray at the wall without limitations. “No problem,” he said. “There will be no restrictions on freedom of religion.”Meanwhile Palestinian officials expressed pessimistic views on the state of peace negotiations, with one unnamed top PA official telling channel 10 “a chasm separates the two sides.”Former PA prime minister Ahmed Qureia told Channel 10 that there was a lack of trust between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and PA President Mahmoud Abbas, and little progress in negotiations. Even a face-to-face meeting between the two, Qureia said, seemed unlikely at this point.Abbas, he said, “has no problem shaking (Netanyahu’s) hand, but what will come of it? It was deemed that now was “not the time for such moves” for the president, the report said.As a result, the unconfirmed report claimed, Kerry’s efforts to reach a substantive framework document have “pretty much collapsed.”Meanwhile Netanyahu’s office confirmed Monday  that the prime minister will visit the US in March and meet with Obama; the two are likely to discuss the floundering negotiations, and their differences over how to prevent Iran attaining nuclear weapons capabilities.


Fatah to appoint a deputy to Abbas

Fatah has begun studying the legal mechanisms for nominating a deputy to PA President Mahmoud Abbas, a party official said on Saturday.Central Committee member Abbas Zaki told the Chinese news agency Xinhua that five members of the committee were selected to study the constitutional requirements for the new position.“There is a consensus within Palestinian leadership regarding the need to nominate a deputy to the president, given the dangers facing the Palestinian issue and the attempts to draft a constitution and [create] legal frameworks for the future Palestinian state,” Zaki told Xinhua.Yasser Arafat, the first chairman of the Palestinian Authority, never nominated a deputy. But international pressure exerted on him following the violent upsurge of the Second Intifada forced Arafat to nominate Fatah veteran Mahmoud Abbas as the first Palestinian prime minister in March 2003, serving as his de facto deputy.Despite his ailing health, 78-year-old Abbas has not nominated a deputy either. Abbas has unilaterally extended his term as president since January 2009 amid a political schism with rival movement Hamas, revolving around — among other issues – the arrangements of new presidential and parliamentary elections.According to the Palestinian Basic Law, if the president is to become incapacitated, the speaker of the Palestinian parliament must fill the position pending new elections to be held within 60 days. The current speaker of parliament is Hamas member Aziz Dweik, a fact adding to Fatah’s angst over the day after Abbas.Palestinian media interpreted statements by the Israeli chief negotiator, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, late January whereby Palestinians will “pay the price” for Abbas’s “unacceptable positions” as a veiled Israeli threat on the president’s life.
Zaki said that Fatah’s decision to nominate a deputy to Abbas had “nothing to do with the Israeli threats directed personally at President Mahmoud Abbas.”




Netanyahu to meet with Obama in Washington in March

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will visit the United States for five days in the first week of March, during which he will meet with US President Barack Obama at the White House and deliver an address at the annual AIPAC Policy Conference, the Prime Minister’s Office has confirmed.Although the trip has been approved, the PMO said on Sunday, its final dates have yet to be finalized, with the details expected to be confirmed in the coming days.The two leaders will likely discuss the faltering peace process with the Palestinians as well as differences between Jerusalem and Washington regarding Iran’s nuclear program, among other issues.The last meeting between Netanyahu and Obama took place in September 2013, when the prime minister came to the US to address the UN General Assembly in New York.Netanyahu’s sojourn is also expected to include a brief visit to the West Coast. No injuries or damage were reported.Earlier on Monday a red alert sounded in the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council after a rocket launched from within Gazan territory was detected. No injuries or damage were reported in the earlier rocket attack.There have been 33 rocket attacks on Israeli towns and territory from the Hamas-controlled territory since the beginning of 2014, the IDF noted on Sunday.

You could not notify the DYP! You do not want them to be under the Judgment of Quebec? Do you seriously think that you have the right to decide who the Judge that will judge you will be? This behavior indicates of an intention not Lawful! Not only do you not cooperate with the Authority, with the DYP, but you also try to avoid contact with them, so this behavior is not very legal, we will not say this explicitly, but this behavior reminds something like cul... First let's draw the course of events and remind the conversation between Dennis Barabie and Meyer Rosner that was right after Lev Tahor left Ontario. We will examine the conversation in the light of the judgment. "Simply because the parents have decided as a tactical maneuver to absent themselves from Quebec in order to frustrate the process of justice that had started,” Did "Lev Tahor" moved to Ontario as a tactical step? Maybe, but it seems to be that the important question is if there was a real significant reason for this leaving! At the time that you came, It was the month of the holidays, and still we did that much, And with no certification, we didn't see anything certified, we think that you are hiding some plan that someone wants to demolish the community, wants to destroy us, And we can't we are human beings, I was crying to the DYP, please if you want to ask information you can ask, we can come in, we can go out, we can do our normal lives three months we are so chocked, so chocked, so depressed. Which community can take this, a normal family can't take that, the kids are driving crazy from that, another time and another time checking something, another time knocking the door, you don't think that in Canada there are people that have their own lives…any time, any hour you have been…

Meir Rosner basically says that "Lev Tahor" has a problem, not with the court, but with the DYP. Rosner says that he has a significant reason for leaving. He says that the DYP's report of 94 pages is an inflated report that exhibits normal findings as deviations. Rosner understands that if Barabie will come with this report to court, then  Rosner will be in a problem. Is it like that? Let us remember the course of events. At 07/08/14 the DYP performed its first raid on the community. After the raid, by the way, most of the community members were happy , they saw the results of the raid  as a proof that the allegations against the community are false while all children were examined  in the raid and nothing was found. But the DYP that was exerted presumably by Mr. David Koolt  decided not to end with this. the congregation had three months of humiliating and abusive raids, in which children in the community, and the community houses, were tested in a microscopic examination. Whenever the results of this microscopic examinations were positive, rotten vegetable was found in the refrigerator, water were leaking from the air conditioner etc. the "evidence" was filmed and filed. In this way the DYP constructed a portfolio. The existence of this file was hidden from the members of the community, who suspected but could not do much more on the subject. All of this was done till the DYP had come to a point where the DYP estimated that it has enough microscopic evidence to prosecute the community. The community that heard about the intent of the DYP could indeed originally argue in court that the test of the DYP was not fair... Everyone agree that the tests of the claims in the report were biased, such as filming a child's  foot in a dark room with a flashlight lighting on the foot  that creates the effect of a large fungus on each foot when there is only a small stain on the foot with a slightly different color leather. Everyone agree that the community have done everything that it was requested and it did it immediately. Everyone agrees that some of the claims were proven as false claims, such as the fungus claim that was discredited by a dermatologist, and the other part of the claims had not been proven. This means that everyone agrees that the allegations against the community were not proven, although the community was tested at least a hundred times more than a normal welfare service examination. Rosner allegedly saved the children of the two families and all of the community children by the move that he decided to make. To which person does the judge usually believe, the social worker, or to the family being tested? Was the fact that many social workers (including the director of social services) standing  behind this portfolio  the reason for the judge to believe even more to their version?

Let us now examine the first part of the words of the judge. "It would be impractical at best and potentially harmful at worst if the society were now required, in the context of the need to protect the children, to conduct a separate and new investigation into all of the issues currently before the Court of Quebec." The first question that we have to ask is what is the meaning of "to conduct a separate and new investigation into all of the issues currently before the Court of Quebec"? Isn't the fact that the CAS checks us  hundred times more than any other standard Family/Community or maybe 50 times more  not enough? Are the CAS's statements that the community was examined  by them and  they did not find what the DYP found are sufficient to say that the CAS did enough investigation? Does anyone suspect that these statements of the CAS are derived from a great affection towards "Lev Tahor"? Does anyone suspect that the CAS could not achieve the results of the DYP because the press has seen that the situation in the community is completely normal and reported it? First of all let's understand one thing on the subject of jurisdiction , which is the issue before us , whether the jurisdiction of Quebec continues to apply to those who had left Quebec to Ontario after they received an oral note about the trial that will be held against them? Generally, the judiciary of each person is determined by its domicile more than by its actual residence (habitual residence), that is where he sees the real place of residence is more important than were he actually lives. For example a Canadian soldier that lives in the UK, see Canada as his domicile despite he does not have an apartment in Canada and has an apartment in the UK instead etc. It is clear to everyone that our domicile was not Quebec about six months before we left Quebec, and, without a shadow of a doubt, at least, from the time of the DYP raids. Courts usually use habitual residence because domicile is being more difficult to prove, here the situation is reversed and it's obvious why! Obviously everyone wanted to leave for at least three months before our actual leaving of Quebec. Suppose there is a person who wants to leave to another authority and there is a bully that prevents him from doing so, is the bully entitled then sues the person on trial according to the rules of the authority in which that person was forced to stay? What is the answer if the mentioned person eventually left to another authority? If the mentioned person brought evidence of his will to leave to another authority, when you know that the bully scared this person from leaving? When you know that the court believes almost always to the bully? Well then, how can you leave Quebec like that, in the middle of the night? Why not openly and honestly? Which sin did the unfortunate children do that their sweet and innocent lives were shocked by this trip! Besides, who said you really wanted to leave? The fact is that you didn't leave! Suppose we were acting as suggested to us here: Inviting the DYP to a meeting and telling them about our plans to leave for reasons of education! About that we have some questions to our educators: Is the DYP by darkening the room, lighting a flashlight and photographing the legs of the children, to empower each sign and to turn the photo to a giant fungus, taking at a magnification a photo of any rotten vegetable, filming any leakage in any air conditioner, is worthy of our trust? Is it not expected that once it could only put on us its paws, it will do so? Does anyone dream that the DYP would have left us  friendly  transmitting the case to Ontario? Can we really rely on the DYP running by David Koolt , who received a direct order to the Knesset Committee to act , if possible , even without the law?  - remember the indirect teaching of MK Margi to the representative of the international department of the advocacy, to act upon the "Law plus".  "Not the law but the law plus, and whether you talk in circles again, we will stop you again, when I say under the law plus this plus point priorities"?! -  We can also add that Renana Tchelet the representative of the international department of the ministry of social affairs in Israel is in daily contact with the CAS.  What was MK Margi's purpose if not to teach the Canadians the way of the "law plus"? The DYP  didn't think even to apologize of its distorted examination. Were the Sphotos, that were taken by the DYP, within the law or within the framework of the law plus?

Suppose we were leaving in the light of day, such a leaving is a message to the DYP, isn't it? And we know the meaning of such a message from what was said here! Let us not forget that the CAS  said several times in the media that the allegations of the DYP are not proven! By the way, what would people say to us if we would behave in the moral behavior of the DYP? We just want to know what our teachers want from us? To give our beloved children, straight, to the hands of the DYP?
It is obvious that such a message would nail us to Quebec till dismantle of the community! Do you understand now why we did not leave, at least in the last three months of our stay in Quebec, where there was a danger to stay and a greater danger to leave! So now it's understandable why we belong to Ontario!!! Beyond that, the testimony of the social worker is at most an evidence of a public servant; it is difficult to call it even an expert testimony. The social worker is not in the role of an arbiter, quoting his allegations while they are not proven could lead to demoralization of the other side that feels that there is no will  to believe him, even if the court itself does not mean that. Especially when there is a tendency to condemn those who criticized the social worker, this is a demoralization that can also grow. Does anyone have questions of our behavior now? We would gladly answer any serious question!

We have to realise one thing here: Western societies are always, rightly, contrasted with Islamic ones in terms of civilisation and progress. But we should stop idealising ourselves. If our own societies were not in serious trouble after decades of leftist ideological rule, we wouldn't have any problems of Islamisation in the first place, because Muslims would not have been allowed to immigrate here in huge numbers and impose their ways on us rather than accepting to change in order to integrate.They cannot change without stopping being Muslim, of course. And there lies the problem. Why don't our ruling elites realise the obvious reality of what Islam is – after all, you just have to read the Quran and other Islamic scriptures, along with their many commentaries by experts like Robert Spencer and several others, whose criticisms of Islam very closely correspond to what we see with our own eyes and hear with our own ears, rather than clamorously clashing with them as those of Islam apologists do? The answer to this question is in the paragraph I wrote just above the one containing the question: "decades of leftist ideological rule".The Left, putting into practice – in some cases knowingly, in others not – Cultural Marxism with its theory of cultural hegemony developed by the Italian Communist Party's co-founder Antonio Gramsci, has managed to make a socialist revolution without blood spilling – until now at least.It has used culture, rather than the storming of palaces, to impose its ideas on a vast mass of people who for 50-60 years have been watching the TV channels it controls, reading the papers it dominates, seeing the films that the liberal Hollywood produces, learning in schools and universities totally imbued with its ideology.The results can be seen in the story reported at the top of this article:

Here we have the double effect of the Left's dominion on Western societies.On one hand, great numbers of uncontrolled, unrestricted, often illegal immigrants from the most socially backward parts of the world – which are usually Muslim – are allowed into our countries bringing with them their unchecked and unrefined mores, without even an attempt on our part to make them adapt, since we must "celebrate diversity". After all, the Left thinks that we owe them, due to our – according to the Marxist revision of history – terribly imperialist past, and anyway simply because they are poor and we are – relatively – rich.On the other, the idea that there is something more important in life than self-gratification, the ethical thinking that derives from the West's historical Christian roots, has been gradually abandoned, along with Christianity itself. "Religion is the opium of the people" was one of the greatest of Karl Marx's dogmas. Another was: morality is bourgeois, is another form of the capitalist class's oppression of the proletariat.Make no mistakes. The terms and expressions used today may be different – after all, fashions change, language evolves –, but the ideas are exactly the same. Marx and Engels wanted the destruction of the family and thought that children should be reared communally. They both hated the family just as much as private property.The family is patriarchal, is a capitalist institution, they believed. And this despite my purposeful editing of the post with the addition of "a civilised (but with a serious drinking and drugs problem) society" in reference to Sweden, aimed at alerting to these very serious phenomena.One of the ways, although by no means the only one, in which the neo-Marxist indoctrination of the masses has taken place is through such a distorted caricature of Christianity and its history that it makes them unrecognisable, and it would be funny were it not tragic.In a recent interview with my fellow member of Liberty GB Jack Bucky, the interviewer claimed that Catholics used to hang homosexuals.He's not to be blamed. What Goes on in a Mosque – Evidence from America

Do you want a mosque near you? You may say you don’t mind, so long as it isn’t run by the small minority of extremists.If so, think again.Please subscribe to Middle East Quarterly for a copy of the report “Sharia and Violence in American Mosques“, by Mordechai Kedar and David Yerushalmi. Its surgical logic is matched by its unflinching conclusions.The study is relevant to British people because Islamic integration is assumed to work better in America than in Europe.Messrs Kedar and Yerushalmi ask two basic questions: first, whether there is a link between sharia-adherent behaviour in American mosques and the making available of books and videos sanctioning violence; and second, whether there is a link between violent materials in a mosque and that mosque’s leaders advocating violent or supremacist behaviour? The researchers appear to have been sampled cautiously and impartially. Data came from a random, representative sample of 100 US mosques in 14 states, plus the District of Columbia:
A surveyor visited a subject mosque in order: (a) to observe and record 12 Sharia-adherent behaviors of the worshipers and the imam (or lay leader); (b) to observe whether the mosque contained the selected materials rated as moderate and severe; (c) to observe whether the mosque contained materials promoting, praising, or supporting violence or violent jihad; and (d) to observe whether the mosque contained materials indicating the mosque had invited guestspeakers known to have promoted violent jihad.The Sharia-adherent behaviour was selected for its significance according to “Reliance of the Traveller”, “Fiqh as-Sunna”, and other standard – if unsavoury – sharia discourses:
Among the behaviors observed at the mosques and scored as Shari’a-adherent were: (a) women wearing the hijab (head covering) or niqab(full-length shift covering the entire female form except for the eyes); (b) gender segregation during mosque prayers; and (c) enforcement of straight prayer lines. Behaviors that were not scored as Shari’a-adherent included: (a) women wearing just a modern hijab, a scarf-like covering that does not cover all of the hair, or no covering; (b) men and women praying together in the same room; and (c) no enforcement by the imam, lay leader, or worshipers of straight prayer lines.Violent materials – mainly books and videos – were divided into ‘moderate’ and ‘severe’.The moderate-rated literature was authored by respected Shari’a religious and/or legal authorities; while expressing positive attitudes toward violence, it was predominantly concerned with the more mundane aspects of religious worship and ritual. The severe material, by contrast, largely consists of relatively recent texts written by ideologues, rather than Shari’a scholars, such as Abul Ala Mawdudi and Sayyid Qutb. These, as well as materials published and disseminated by the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood, are primarily, if not exclusively, aimed at using Islam to advance a violent political agenda.

This choice of materials seem to have been chosen because they “are not Islamic legal texts per se but rather are polemical works seeking to advance a politicized Islam through violence, if necessary. Nor are these authors recognized Shari’a scholars.”The results of the survey were unambiguous: most mosques offered pro-violence materials, but the mosques most likely to do so were the ones encouraging sharia-adherent behaviour.The survey’s findings, explored in depth below, were that 51 percent of mosques had texts that either advocated the use of violence in the pursuit of a Shari’a-based political order or advocated violent jihad as a duty that should be of paramount importance to a Muslim; 30 percent had only texts that were moderately supportive of violence like theTafsir Ibn Kathir and Fiqh as-Sunna; 19 percent had no violent texts at all.
And:The study found a statistically significant association between the severity of violence-positive texts on mosque premises and Shari’a-adherent behaviors.In addition mosques containing severe material were likely actively to encourage terrorism and the funding of it:The survey found a strong correlation between the presence of severe violence-promoting literature and mosques featuring written, audio, and video materials that actually promoted such acts. By promotion of jihad, the study included literature encouraging worshipers to engage in terrorist activity, to provide financial support to jihadists, and to promote the establishment of a caliphate in the United States. These materials also explicitly praised acts of terror against the West; praised symbols or role models of violent jihad; promoted the use of force, terror, war, and violence to implement the Sharia; emphasized the inferiority of non-Muslim life; promoted hatred and intolerance toward non-Muslims or notional Muslims; and endorsed inflammatory materials with anti-U.S. views… [O]f the 51 mosques that contained severe materials, 100 percent were led by imams who recommended that worshipers study texts that promote violence.
And there doesn’t seem to be much difference between moderate and severe mosques when it comes to violence against the infidel.[M]osques containing violence positive materials were substantially more likely to include materials promoting financial support of terror than mosques that did not contain such texts. A disturbing 98 percent of mosques with severe texts included materials promoting financial support of terror. Those with only moderate rated materials on site were not markedly different, with 97 percent providing such materials.These results were comparable when using other indicators of jihad promotion. Thus, 98 percent of mosques that contained severe-rated literature included materials promoting establishing an Islamic caliphate in the United States as did 97 percent of mosques containing only moderate rated materials.
Remember this if you thought that you would only be concerned about a mosque in your neighbourhood if it was run by members of the small minority of  unrepresentative extremists. The moderate mosque may not attract violence, but it’s just as likely to encourage it.Depressing stuff. But what makes the picture even worse is the number of people coming to hardline mosques compared to moderate ones:Mosques that contained written materials in the severe category were the best attended, followed by those with only moderate-rated materials, trailed in turn by those lacking such texts. Mosques with severe materials had a mean attendance of 118 worshipers while mosques containing only moderate materials had a mean attendance of 60 worshipers; mosques that contained no violence-positive literature had a mean attendance of 15 worshipers.Read that last paragraph again. Do the arithmetic. Nearly three quarters of mosque-goers attend ‘severe’ (offering modern materials with a violent political axe to grind) mosques; just over one fifth go to moderate (predominantly worship and ritual with some positive attitudes towards violence) mosques; and 3.5%, or one in thirty, go to mosques with no violent materials in them.
