Vatican Calls for Central World Bank Kurt Nimmo Infowars.com October 24, 2011
The Vatican has called for a global public authority and a world central bank to rule over financial affairs in the wake of the engineered economic collapse.A document released by the Vatican’s Justice and Peace department should be music to the ears of the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators and similar movements around the world who have protested against the economic downturn, according to CNBC.Condemning the “idolatry of the market, the document states that the economic and financial crisis which the world is going through calls everyone, individuals and peoples, to examine in depth the principles and the cultural and moral values at the basis of social coexistence. The planned implosion of the global economy has revealed behaviors like selfishness, collective greed and hoarding of goods on a great scale.
The 18-page document, entitled Towards Reforming the International Financial and Monetary Systems in the Context of a Global Public Authority, declares global economics needs an ethic of solidarity among rich and poor nations. If no solutions are found to the various forms of injustice, the negative effects that will follow on the social, political and economic level will be destined to create a climate of growing hostility and even violence, and ultimately undermine the very foundations of democratic institutions, even the ones considered most solid,it said.In response, the Vatican is calling for a supranational authority with worldwide scope and universal jurisdiction to guide economic policies and decisions. The authority will be run by the United Nations, according to the document. It will take time to replace economic policies and in the process destroy national sovereignty, according to the Vatican.Of course, this transformation will be made at the cost of a gradual, balanced transfer of a part of each nation’s powers to a world authority and to regional authorities, but this is necessary at a time when the dynamism of human society and the economy and the progress of technology are transcending borders, which are in fact already very eroded in a globalized world.
New euro empire plot by Brussels-European Union chiefs are drawing up plans for a single Treasury to oversee tax and spending across the 17 eurozone nations.By Patrick Hennessy, and Bruno Waterfield 8:48PM BST 22 Oct 2011
The proposal, put forward by Herman Van Rompuy, the European Council president, would be the clearest sign yet of a new United States of Europe — with Britain left on the sidelines. The plan comes as European governments desperately trying to save the euro from collapse last night faced a new bombshell, with sources at the International Monetary Fund saying it would not pay for a second Greek bail-out.It was also disclosed last night that British businesses are turning their back on Brussels regulations to give temporary workers full employment rights, with supermarket chain Tesco leading the charge.Meanwhile, David Cameron is attempting to face down a rebellion tomorrow by Tory MPs in a vote over staging a referendum on Britain’s membership of the EU.Ministers expect 60 or 70 MPs to defy the party’s high command and back the call for a referendum, while some rebels claim the final toll could be up to 100 — about a third of the parliamentary party.
Downing Street has upped the stakes dramatically. Last night, No 10 sources insisted they would impose a three-line whip — effectively ordering all Tory MPs to fall in line.Mr Cameron, who yesterday took personal charge of the effort to persuade MPs to back the Government, has come under intense pressure from Cabinet colleagues to try to defuse the revolt by offering concessions or a way out to rebels. Sources say a handful of parliamentary private secretaries — the lowest rung on the government ladder — might resign. The single Treasury plan emerged in Brussels yesterday as Europe’s finance ministers tried to find a way out of the crisis engulfing the eurozone. A full-scale rescue plan could cost about £1.75 trillion.British sources said Mr Van Rompuy, who is regarded as being close to the German government, suggested plans for a finance ministry to be based either in Frankfurt or Paris. The EU already has its own foreign ministry, headed by Baroness Ashton, the former British Labour minister, and based in Brussels.A senior Coalition source told The Sunday Telegraph: I am well aware of arguments in Brussels and elsewhere in favour of a single Treasury. You’d get any number of different versions of Europe all running at very different speeds.A series of meetings are due to be held over the next few days on the eurozone crisis that will involve the leaders of EU member states. They were overshadowed last night as senior sources at the International Monetary Fund indicated privately that it is not willing to further bail out Greece, whose economy has an outstanding debt of about £232 billion. The IMF, with the EU and the European Central Bank, is assessing Greece’s debt crisis, and a joint report yesterday suggested lenders might have to agree losses of up to 60 per cent in a Greek default.Any suggestion that the IMF would not be part of a new bail-out of Greece could spark panic in the markets and worsen the eurozone crisis.Eurosceptic Tories, meanwhile, are arguing in favour of repatriating powers from the EU to Britain, including the Agency Workers Directive, imposed last year at an annual cost of £1.8 billion, which is putting at risk 28,000 temporary job contracts for those aged between 16 and 24. Tesco has asked one of its suppliers to take advantage of a loophole in the law which allows workers to opt out.
As Mr Cameron led the drive this weekend to neuter the Tory rebellion, Nigel Farage, the leader of Ukip, indicated his party might not field candidates at the next election against MPs who vote for a referendum. However, there is no danger of Mr Cameron losing the non-binding vote. He can count on the payroll vote of more than 100 ministers, most if not all Lib Dams and nearly the entire bloc of 258 Labour MPs.
On Saturday Tory rebels were among speakers at a People’s Pledge pro-referendum rally in Westminster. They included David Davis, the former shadow home secretary, who called the EU a nascent superstate.

JAMES 5:1-3
1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
REVELATION 18:10,17,19
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
EZEKIEL 7:19
19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

EU states to speed up austerity, embrace limited treaty change 23.10.11 @ 19:08 By Leigh Phillips
Leaders of the EU's 27 member states met on Sunday (23 October) with little fresh to show in the face of the biggest crisis in the bloc's history, but did back a limited change to the EU treaty to deliver stronger economic convergence amongst eurozone countries. At the crisis meeting in the EU capital, the bloc's premiers and presidents agreed to speed up already-agreed-to austerity and structural adjustment measures and to seek new growth-enhancing measures, such as unifying the bloc's still-fragmented market in digital products and services and cutting regulations on small businesses. But on the core issues of what leaders have described as a comprehensive package aiming to draw a line under the eurozone debt crisis - including how to leverage the bloc's rescue fund to a size that can protect Italy and Spain from contagion, and the scale of the write-down to be imposed on holders of Greek bonds - there was no agreement. The president of the EU Council, Herman Van Rompuy, told reporters in a pause between the closing of a meeting of the full EU 27 chiefs and a smaller meeting of the eurozone's 17 leaders, that good progress was made, with the bulk of the discussion so far focussed on the issue of a recapitalisation of Europe’s banks. It is understood that leaders have converged on a sum of €107 or €108 billion in a scheme for a second round of bank bail-outs. Under the plans, troubled financial institutions must first attempt to raise fresh cash from markets. If unable to do so, national governments will then have to provide back-stops. Only if governments are too weak to be able to perform this task will the eurozone's rescue fund, the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF), step into the breach. However, no final agreement has been reached on bank recapitalisation, and details will only be released after a meeting of European finance ministers and a second pair of EU and eurozone summits - all of which will take place on Wednesday.
The leaders did back a limited treaty change that will involve tightening fiscal discipline and deepening economic union.Limited means not a general overhaul of the architecture found in the Lisbon Treaty, said Van Rompuy. What is most important is not to change the treaty but to strengthen economic convergence,he said, adding however that such a change is not a taboo. The leaders said in a joint communique that any treaty change must be decided by the 27 member states and not just the 17 in the eurozone. The leaders will take a decision on treaty change in December based on recommendations from President Van Rompuy and the chair of the eurogroup of states, Luxembourgish Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker.A new fiscal discipline super-commissioner in the euro area is also to be created. The leaders welcomed the idea of strengthening the powers of a commissioner with added competence of closer monitoring and additional enforcement. This chimes with a proposal from the Netherlands in September that a commission could upon the support of a majority of eurozone countries make a heavily indebted state a ward of the EU executive, whereby all economic decisions would be taken out of the hands of the country concerned and vested instead in the super-commissioner. Finland, Germany and the commission have backed versions of the plan.A completely new post is also to be created, that of president of the Euro summit, which will be elected by euro-area premiers and president at the same time that the president of the European Council is appointed. The next such appointment is to take place mid-2012. Until then, the current president, Herman Van Rompuy, will play this role. The summit chiefs are also exploring the possibility of a massive new fund alongside the zone's existing rescue mechanism, hoping to tap trillions from sovereign wealth funds owned by the likes of Norway, Singapore and China that could be used to purchase government debt from in troubled states. The existing rescue outfit, the EFSF, would offer insurance up to around 20 percent against losses government bonds purchased by the new fund, or Special Purpose Vehicle, extending the firepower of the EFSF to as much as €1 trillion.Such a plan, involving investment via the International Monetary Fund with Brics involvement - referring to the emerging powers of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - is on the table, an EU official told this website.
Pressure piled on Italy
Immediately after the meeting of all 27 member states, the 17 countries in the euro area met to continue discussions.Following the eurozone meeting at a late night press conference, no fresh breakthroughs were announced. The two EU presidents told reporters simply that talks were advancing.Work is in progress and progressing well, said Barroso. However, while Italy was not mentioned by name, in a pointed reference to the country, Van Rompuy said: All member states need to give clear signals of their commitment regarding public finances by Wednesday, and this is understood by everybody.German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy held a brief but sharp private meeting with the Italian Prime Minister early on Sunday, demanding that he take tougher austerity measures than he so far has implemented. In return for Italy receiving assistance from the European Central Bank late in the summer via vast purchases of government debt in order to temper the country’s borrowing costs, Rome committed to a series of stringent austerity measures. But divisions in his government have slowed down the pace of their implementation.Last week, Berlusconi was forced to hold a vote of confidence to prove that he still commanded sufficient support in parliament to push through cuts and structural adjustment.
DANIEL 7:23-24
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast(THE EU,REVIVED ROME) shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth,(7TH WORLD EMPIRE) which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.(TRADE BLOCKS)
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise:(10 NATIONS-10 WORLD REGIONS) and another shall rise after them;(#11 SPAIN) and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.(BE HEAD OF 3 KINGS OR NATIONS).
EU treaty change should be limited, says parliament president 23.10.11 @ 12:56 By Honor Mahony
Amid general weariness about the thought of changing the EU treaty once more, European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek has suggested an open-and-shut scenario where any tweaking be kept to the area of economic governance.Speaking to reporters after addressing the summit of EU leaders, Buzek said telling citizens that treaty change will be limited may make the idea more palatable. We must be rather gentle about (this) and delicate but I think we should start to open the discussion in our constituencies and to say that we can imagine that the treaty changes are not too big, are limited to one area of economic government, which could help to create a more stabilised European economy. It should be explained to citizens that more economic union is needed because EU leaders forgot slightly about it when they created monetary union.Germany has been among those most loudly calling for a treaty change to enable the punishment of fiscally misbehaving states, including possibly having them brought before the European Court of Justice. The treaty idea, coming with memories of the torturous ratification of the current Lisbon Treaty still fresh, has received a lukewarm response in many quarters, particularly by those governments that will have to put any changes to a referendum.Ireland's Sunday Business Post reported last weekend that Dublin has already told its EU partners that it is just not realistic to think that Irish people - subject to harsh austerity measures in return for an EU/IMF loan - will pass a referendum. We could happily agree to a new treaty and a referendum but we could not pass it,the paper quotes a source as saying.
Ireland only passed both the Lisbon Treaty and the Nice Treaty on a second referendum.Meanwhile, talk of treaty change also comes amid a return of the EU to centre-stage discussion for the ruling British Conservatives.Tory politicians regularly hit out at what they see as EU over-regulation in the area of social affairs and employment.A draft new law in the UK suggests that any significant treaty changes of the future would have to be put to a referendum.Admitting that there is no positive atmosphere for any referendum in the member states today, Buzek pointed out that treaty change is definitely on the way in any case.
Sarkozy tells Cameron to shut up on eurozone
Today OCT 24,11 @ 09:24 By Leigh Phillips
Tensions between Paris and London flared up on Sunday (23 October) amid crisis talks on the eurozone, as President Nicolas Sarkozy of France hit out at British criticisms of the single currency. You have lost a good opportunity to shut up, the Guardian, a UK paper, reports the French leader as telling UK Prime Minister David Cameron. We are sick of you criticising us and telling us what to do. You say you hate the euro and now you want to interfere in our meetings. The row centred on concerns by the UK leader that decisions taken solely by the eurozone members would have impact on the single market shared by all 27 euro and non-euro using members of the European Union. The reported bust-up caused an hour-and-a-half delay to a joint press conference between Sarkozy and German Chancelllor Angela Merkel mid-afternoon.
In the end, the EU leaders reached a compromise that all 27 will first discuss the comprehensive eurozone crisis response package at a subsequent summit in Brussels on Wednesday, but that the eurozone chiefs themselves will have the last word on the matters at their own separate meeting immediately afterward. We must safeguard the interests of countries that want to stay outside the euro, particularly with respect to the integrity of the single market for all 27 countries of the EU, Cameron later told reporters in his own press briefing, explaining but downplaying the exchange.
This crisis means that greater fiscal and economic integration in the euro zone is inevitable, but this must not be at the expense of Britain's national interest.
Herman Van Rompuy, the EU Council President later obliquely referenced the row and echoing Cameron's words regarding a safeguarding of the interests of all 27 states.
The 27 are the basis of our prosperity. We must keep the two types of decision making as close as possible,he told reporters.

1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog,(RULER) the land of Magog,(RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW)and Tubal,(TOBOLSK) and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW) and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws,(GOD FORCES THE RUSSIA-MUSLIMS TO MARCH) and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.(RUSSIA-EGYPT AND MUSLIMS)
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands,( ARABS) and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog,(NUCLEAR BOMB) and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.(NUCLEAR BOMB)
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
An MEP in Tunis: Women, Islamists do well in election
Today OCT 24,11 @ 11:57 By Andrew Rettman
The first post-Arab Spring election has boosted the profile of women in Arab politics and is likely to yield an Islamist winner, according to an MEP who monitored the vote.Portuguese socialist deputy Ana Gomes told EUobserver from Tunisia on Monday (24 October) that based on information from her monitoring group, the US-based National Democratic Intsitute, out of the 110 parties which ran, about six will make it to parliament and the moderate Islamist Ennahda party will get the most seats. The official result is due late on Monday or on Tuesday. There will probably be few women MPs. But women played a prominent role in the vote - each party had to put up 50 percent female candidates and women made up the bulk of the 13,000 domestic election observers.Attendance was massive, massive ... between 80 percent and 85 percent. It was very orderly and peaceful. It's a great statement about the Tunisians. People are very proud, very conscious of the impact this will have beyond their country, to encourage all those who are fighting for democracy, Gomes said. She noted the democratic maturity of Tunisian society comes from its history of secularism, high levels of education and from its strong links with Europeans through the Tunisian diaspora and the tourism industry. She added that the strength of Islamist groups in the region, including in Libya and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, is in part a reaction to the Western legacy in Iraq and its support for old Middle East dictators, as well as due to money from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.Gomes, the EU parliament's rapportuer on Libya and a former Portuguese abassador to Indonesia, said she was not happy to hear Libyan rebel leader Abdul Jalil this weekend call for sharia law in Libya.
She voiced confidence that Libyan elections, due in eight months' time, will be free and fair, however: Having seen how open the Libyans are to advice from abroad and from those who have gone through the same experience, including Tunisia, I am sure the process in Libya can go well. She noted the Tunisian example has already prompted Egypt to send out invitations for Western election monitors despite previous reluctance. But she was less confident that Egypt's vote, due in November, will go smoothly.Egypt will be a more difficult challenge ... In Tunisia, the faith that ordinary people had in the independent electoral committee was extremely important. In Egypt, I am sorry, but I am not so optimistic, she said. The difference is in the attitude [of openness to Western advisors and to the Tunisian model]. In Egypt I haven't seen much of this.
LIBYA WILL BE A SHARIA ISLAMIC STATE SAYS JALIL.THIS IS HOW ALL THE ARAB -MUSLIM COUNTRIES TAKEN OUT BY THE WEST WILL TURN OUT.ALL ISRAEL-AMERICA RADICAL HATERS.
Abdul-Jalil laid out a vision for a new Libya with an Islamist tint, saying Islamic Sharia law would be the basic source of legislation, and that existing laws that contradict the teachings of Islam would be nullified.

Libya's new rulers declare country liberated
Libya's transitional government has declared national liberation before a jubilant crowd in Benghazi, where the revolt against Muammar Gaddafi began.National Transitional Council (NTC) leader Mustafa Abdul Jalil urged Libyans to put civil conflict behind them for the sake of the country.Gaddafi's capture and death on Thursday came as Nato-backed NTC forces pursued loyalists in his stronghold, Sirte. The NTC has come under pressure to investigate how he died.A post-mortem carried out on the former leader's body on Sunday showed he had received a bullet wound to the head, medical sources said. The body itself, along with that of Gaddafi's son Mutassim, has been put on public display in a cold storage facility in Misrata.Thousands of people were killed or injured after the violent repression of protests against Gaddafi's rule in February developed into a full-scale civil war.His government was driven out of the capital, Tripoli, in August. However he refused to surrender or leave the country, urging his followers to resist the country's new leaders.
United brothers
NTC deputy head Abdul Hafez Ghoga announced from the stage that Libya had been freed, declaring: Declaration of Liberation. Raise your head high. You are a free Libyan.Thousands of voices echoed him chanting, You are a free Libyan.Mr Abdul Jalil bowed down to thank God for victory before making his speech.(THIS IS NOT JESUS-GOD OF ISRAEL AND THE WHOLE WORLD JALIL IS BOWING TO ITS A MOON GOD ALLAH).There is a lot of joy at the big parade ground on the edge of Benghazi that they have renamed Victory Square. The new Libya faces a lot of challenges. Hating Colonel Gaddafi has been a great unifier. Now he is dead, the differences within the broad coalition that overthrew him are going to be much more noticeable. The transition to the promised democracy will not be easy. And some national reconciliation between former rebels and former supporters of the regime will be necessary. But Libya has oil money, as much foreign help as it needs and a sense that they own their revolution - even though they could not have done it without the help of Nato and Qatar. The biggest challenge - building a new system of government from the bottom up - could become their biggest advantage. Unlike Tunisian and Egyptian revolutionaries, they do not have to worry about the survival of parts of the old regime. Here in Libya, it has been smashed. He thanked all those who had taken part in the revolution - from rebel fighters to businessmen and journalists.
Today we are one flesh, one national flesh. We have become united brothers as we have not been in the past, he said.I call on everyone for forgiveness, tolerance and reconciliation. We must get rid of hatred and envy from our souls. This is a necessary matter for the success of the revolution and the success of the future Libya.Mr Abdul Jalil said the new Libya would take Islamic law as its foundation. Interest for bank loans would be capped, he said, and restrictions on the number of wives Libyan men could take would be lifted. He wished anti-government protesters in Syria and Yemen victory.US President Barack Obama congratulated Libyans, saying: After four decades of brutal dictatorship and eight months of deadly conflict, the Libyan people can now celebrate their freedom and the beginning of a new era of promise.Nato chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen also welcomed the declaration of liberation, but added that Nato would retain its capacity to respond to threats to civilians, if needed.UK Foreign Secretary William Hague greeted Libya's historic victory, and urged the country to avoid retribution and reprisals.Elections are due to be held by June of next year, Libya's acting Prime Minister, Mahmoud Jibril, said earlier. The new elected body, he added, would draft a constitution to be put to a referendum and form an interim government pending a presidential election.
Death questions
The US, UN, major human rights groups and others have called for a transparent investigation into how Gaddafi died.A post-mortem carried out on the former leader's body on Sunday showed he had received a bullet wound to the head, medical sources said. The commander of the forces that captured Gaddafi has given details of the Libyan ex-leader's last moments to the BBC.Omran al-Oweib said he had been dragged from a drainage pipe and had taken 10 steps before he collapsed amid gunfire between NTC forces and Gaddafi supporters.I didn't see who killed, which weapon killed Gaddafi, Mr Oweib said.NTC spokesman Mustapha Goubrani said Gaddafi's body would be handed over to people from his tribe for burial.Mr Jibril told the BBC's Hardtalk programme he would have preferred to have Gaddafi alive, to face prosecution for his crimes, and added that he would welcome a full inquiry into his death. One of Gaddafi's best-known sons, Saif al-Islam, as well as his security chief both remain at large.Another son who escaped to Niger, Saadi, was shocked and outraged by the vicious brutality shown towards his father and dead brother, his lawyer told Reuters.

24 He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.

14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
Lieberman: PA State Means Rockets on Gush Dan-Kassam rockets will strike metropolitan Tel Aviv if the Palestinian Authority becomes a state, Foreign Minister Lieberman warns.By Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu First Publish: 10/24/2011, 5:34 PM
Kassam rockets will strike metropolitan Tel Aviv if the Palestinian Authority receives an independent state, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman warned Monday.
Speaking to media prior to a discussion on Wednesday with the Quartet – the United States, European Union, Russia and the United Nations – the plain-speaking and often outspoken Foreign Minister declared, The moment that they [the Palestinian Authority] receive an independent country, there will be Kassam rockets on Kfar Saba and Herzliya [parts of metropolitan Tel Aviv] within a year. The question is if we will see them over Gush Dan, and the answer is, yes – not 100 percent, but 200 percent. If we reach a stable agreement with the Palestinian Authority, I am prepared to go with it, but right now all that I see is the opposite. The moment that they receive an independent country, there will be Kassam rockets. He castigated PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, whom he labeled the biggest obstacle to an agreement between the Palestinian Authority and us.Lieberman charged that Abbas is threatened by what he sees happening to all of his colleagues – Qaddafi, Mubarak and others… This is not just a threat – it also is a blessing [because] anyone who follows him would be better. He deals only with his private agenda and the only thing that is important to him is his place in history and how he will spend the rest of his life in leisure and luxury. As for another American-backed building freeze in building for Jews in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, he said it won’t happen.
Jerusalem Police Stand Down from Terror Alert-Helicopters, ground forces and medics are on high alert after intelligence officials warn of an imminent attack in Jerusalem.By Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu First Publish: 10/24/2011, 3:06 PM
Israel's Jerusalem District Police commander announced the city had returned to normal security levels after being on high alert on Monday. The General Security Services, however, are continuing their to pursue intelligence related to the matter.
Earlier Monday, helicopters, ground forces and medics are on high alert after intelligence officials warned of an imminent terrorist attack in Jerusalem.A large number of police were deployed at entrances to the capital as helicopters over overhead. The warning focused on the neighborhood of Romema, located near the Central Bus Station at the western entrance to Jerusalem.Pictures of the suspected terrorist were distributed, and police searched areas of the Belz Yeshiva.Security forces and volunteers responded to the security alert of a terrorist attack on the heels of last week’s release of 477 terrorists and security prisoners in exchange for the return of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit.
Nearly 600 more prisoners and terrorists will be released in two months in the second stage of the arrangement.Since the release, terrorists have staged at least three stabbing attacks, one of them seriously wounding a teenage boy in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramot on the Sabbath. An Arab terrorist earlier this year killed one tourist and wounded approximately 20 others in a bomb attack at the Jerusalem Convention Center, located on a street parallel to the bus station.
Hundreds of Officers: Stop Political IDF Officers' Petitions-An IDF petition to end political IDF petitions. Officers blast recent petition that called for Shalit's release.By Gil Ronen First Publish: 10/24/2011, 2:00 PM
Hundreds of IDF officers have signed a petition protesting the use of petitions signed by officers like them for furthering political causes. The officers are angry at a recent document called the Officers' Letter that features demands by IDF officers that the government act to release IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. In a democracy, the anti-petition officers say – it is strictly forbidden to face off with the Prime Minister or Knesset in order to affect political matters, while using one's military identity. We, IDF officers in mandatory service, in the reserves and in retirement, from all parts of the political spectrum, right left and center, greatly oppose the phenomenon in which certain officers – be they few or many – unite under the heading the officers' letter and use this title to demand that the government and sovereign Knesset act in a political way that they support. The officers contend that their own letter is apolitical and is signed by people who care first and foremost about democracy.
Op-Ed: Prime Minister Netanyahu, It's Your Job
Published: Sunday, October 23, 2011 9:49 AM
Prime MInister Netanyahu decided to run for his difficult position. Accordingly, he has to withstand pressure for Israel's longterm good. He didn't.Rachel Sylvetsky, A7 Man. Editor
I am really angry at Binyamin Netanyahu.I did not want to be Prime Minister of Israel. He did. I even worked hard to make that a reality.I don’t have to commiserate with the pressures he is under, I don’t want that thrust upon me as an explanation for what he did to us in paying for Gilad Shalit’s release with 1027 terrorists. He wanted those pressures. That is what he decided to take upon himself, I didn’t.Accordingly, I have expectations of him that I don’t have of myself. I cried to see Shalit’s father hugging him. I would also have cried had Noam Shalit said nobly that he doesn’t want the price for freeing his son to endanger other Israelis, but that only happens in stories of heroes like the 13th century Maharam of Rotenberg.I want to see my Prime Minister act like a statesman, a stalwart leader, standing up to media pressure, as he is capable of doing, as he did when the economy was the problem, for the longterm good of the country and its citizens.
He has the responsibility to look farther afield than popularity ratings, he has the duty to take the long view rather than using results of populistic polls to create policy, and he is not allowed to let emotions affect his rational thinking.I want to know why he did not tell the Shalits that he will not meet with them until they pack up their tent and stop raising Hamas’ price for him by using the media and a public relations firm to promote their son’s release.I want to know why he did not call - along with them – for endless protests in front of Amnesty International, Red Cross, UN offices and other agencies whose mandate it was to pressure for Shalit’s freedom. It is their failure. We are not the ones who should have been pressured. That is why I would like to know how he had the gall to decide that all the mothers I know can have sleepless nights about what might happen to their children now that there are hundreds of murderous and unrepentant terrorists on the loose, now that countless budding terrorists have received encouragement from the deal. And what about the frightened youngsters themselves? One is already in the hospital fighting for his life after being stabbed as he sat on a bench five minutes from my Jerusalem home.We all know that it is only a matter of time…after all, to paraphrase Santayana. we have not learned from the lessons of our own short history here when it comes to freeing terrorists, so we are doomed to repeat it.
Netanyahu’s decision tells us that freeing Gilad Shalit by freeing terrorists is worth the price of putting our children in tangible danger. His decision, more infuriatingly, says that cutting off electricity, gas and water to Gaza until we get Shalit back, and having to bear international and leftist condemnation, is worse than putting our children in tangible danger. It means that that our Intelligence Services, who should be capable of finding someone who is several kilometers away from Israel’s borders, can rely on public pressure to save them the trouble. It seems that rescuing Shalit, possibly endangering him and the IDF soldiers whose sacred task it is to protect our children, was not an option, but putting our children in tangible danger is an option.Certainly Israel occupied the moral high ground in world opinion when it showed that it values one soldier’s life at a ratio of 1000 to 1. But it also showed that it doesn’t value life at all by putting our children in tangible danger. And I wonder, after Israel thanked Egypt profusely for its help and even had good words for Erdogan, how much the crucial issue of timing – supposedly before the Muslim Brotherhood takes over Egypt – had to do with the deal, and how much US pressure at this time, aimed at showing the possibility of a continued relationship between Israel and those two countries at any price, had to do with it.
It’s a done deal. Now that Gilad is home, we are all happy. But we should not have had to juxtapose his life with 1027 terrorists’ opportunities for evil. Our Prime Minister should have been there for us.

HAKKARI, Turkey (Reuters) - A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 shook southeastern Turkey on Sunday, Turkey's Kandilli Observatory said, triggering the collapse of buildings and killing many people, according to a local mayor.State-run media reported 50 people had been injured, while the prime minister's office said the earthquake had caused a loss of life and damage. No figures were available on the death toll.A lot of buildings collapsed, many people killed, but we don't know the number. We are waiting for emergency help, its very urgent,Zulfukar Arapoglu, the mayor of Ercis district, which was hit badly, told the news broadcaster NTV.We need tents urgently and rescue teams. We have many killed and injured, he said.Emergency teams were trying to rescue people believed to be trapped in a building in Van, near the Iranian border, state-run news agency Anatolian said. It said 50 injured people had been taken to hospital in Van, but did not give details on how serious their injuries were. The Kandilli Observatory said the earthquake struck at 1041 GMT and was 5 km (3 miles) deep. The U.S. Geological Survey earlier reported that the magnitude was 7.6.
Television pictures showed damaged buildings and vehicles, crushed under falling masonry, and panicked residents wandering in the streets.Turkish media said phone lines and electricity had been cut off. Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan was heading to Van to see the damage, media reported.Aftershocks continued after the initial quake, whose epicenter was at the village of Tabanli, north of Van city, the agency said.In Hakkari, a town around 100 km (60 miles) south of the city of Van in southeastern Turkey, a building could be felt swaying for around 10 seconds during the quake.
There was no immediate sign of any casualties or damage in Hakkari, around two and half hours drive through the mountains from Van, around 20 km from the epicenter.

News: Breaking News-Religious identity comes head to head with university’s desire to prevent discrimination By Kyle Blaine Published Oct. 20, 2011.
Second year law student Justin Gunter stands with his eyes closed and head bowed before a handful of his peers in a lecture hall at Vanderbilt University's law school.Lord God, I thank you for bringing us here together on this day, Gunter says, opening the weekly prayer group meeting for the Christian Legal Society.Gunter is president of CLS, and as a leader in the organization, required to lead prayer groups like these, as well as Bible studies. That requirement came under scrutiny from the university earlier this year. The administration contends the group's leadership requirements might violate the university's nondiscrimination policy, which does not allow discrimination based on religious beliefs. The disagreement between the university and CLS received national attention, from Fox News Channel and now members of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, who sent a letter to Chancellor Zeppos earlier this month urging him to allow religious organizations to freely choose their leaders.A closed meeting took place yesterday between the university and members of the religious community at Vanderbilt. According to Gunter, a representative from CLS was not invited, but said he is happy the university is making an effort to meet with leaders of religious groups to ease the current tension. This tension can all be traced back to November 2010, when a former member of the campus Christian fraternity alleged that he had been asked to leave the organization because he was openly gay.
Christian Fraternity ousts openly gay member
In article published in the Hustler on Nov. 5, 2010, a former member of Beta Upsilon Chi, a christian fraternity on campus, alleged that fraternity leaders encouraged him to leave the group after he came out as gay in the summer of 2010.The former member, who wished to remain anonymous, confirmed he was given the option by then fraternity president Greg Wigger to leave the fraternity or face expulsion after having a discussion with Wigger about his sexual orientation.Wigger and the national organization’s Executive Director declined to comment at the time the story was published. The former member filed a complaint with the Office of the Dean of Students after the story was published, and Beta Upsilon Chi underwent an investigation by the Office of Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action and Disability Services. The findings of that investigation have not yet been made public.Beta Upsilon Chi is a registered religious/spiritual student organization on campus. The fraternity's Code of Conduct states that Beta Upsilon Chi does not condone homosexuality. A former member of the fraternity gave the Hustler a copy of the Code of Conduct, which is only released to Beta Upsilon Chi members and pledges. The Code of Conduct states its beliefs regarding sexuality in the second clause of the document: We believe that sex is a gift of God to be enjoyed only inside the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman. Therefore, we will not condone such activity as homosexuality, fornication, or adultery. (I Corinthians 6:15-20; Hebrew 13:4).
The Code of Conduct appears to conflict with Vanderbilt’s nondiscrimination policy, which requires student organizations that all student organizations must refrain from discriminating in membership selection, officer or adviser appointments, or practices of organizational activities on the basis of race, sex, religion, color, national or ethnic origin, age, disability, military service, or sexual orientation, in compliance with Federal law, including the provisions of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.We expect all student organizations to abide by our non-discrimination policies, Bandas said.As an institution, we value our diverse student body. Each and every member of our community is worthy of respect.
Religious groups under the microscope
The university began reviewing the constitutions of all student organizations at the beginning of the year, following the allegations made against Beta Upsilon Chi.
According to a statement updated by the university on Sept. 27 of this year, 32 out of 36 religious organizations are in compliance with the university's nondiscrimination policy. All other student groups have complied with the university. The four groups still on provisional status are CLS, Graduate Christian Fellowship, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Beta Upsilon Chi.The noncompliance issue is the same for CLS, Graduate Christian Fellowship and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Each group’s constitution contains a clause which restricts leadership positions to individuals who share the group’s core religious beliefs. The university is in the process of determining whether these clauses violate the school’s nondiscrimination policy; until a determination is made, the groups will retain provisional status.Gunter said his organization cannot compromise on the leadership issue.A policy that limits religious groups’ ability to have religious leaders and activities decreases religious diversity, Gunter said. Vanderbilt should ensure its non-discrimination policy does not undermine the university’s religious diversity.Associate Dean of Strategic Initiatives and Assessment Patricia Helland confirmed the university initially told the three religious organizations to remove provisions from their constitutions that restricted leadership positions, but has now backed away from the position following feedback from those organizations.People have come back to us and said what do you mean? This is faith based. This is our values. If we change that, we are not who we are and what we’ve done is we’ve listened, Helland said.We are looking at what all the issues are to make a decision.
The university also removed a clause protecting religious associations from its nondiscrimination policy in December of last year. The change, made on Dec. 8, 2010, removed a sentence that guaranteed freedom of religious association for external organizations that associate with the university.
Critics push back against university action
What began as a stand-off between administrators and a handful of student groups, however, has turned national. The national attention began when Carol M. Swain, professor of law and political science, criticized the university in a column in the Tennessean published on Sept. 14.This hastily conceived policy has the potential to destroy every religious organization on campus by secularizing religion and allowing intolerant conflict, Swain wrote.Carried to its logical extension, it means that no organization can maintain integrity of beliefs. In a phone interview with the Hustler, Swain said the actions taken by the university are part of an effort to secularize religion on campus. From my perspective, (the policy) goes too far, Swain said.I felt this issue does affect alumni and donors and they need to know what the university is doing.Swain and Gunter appeared in a Fox News segment on Sept. 26 on the controversy. Then, earlier this month, 23 members of the Congressional Prayer Caucus wrote to Chancellor Nicholas Zeppos, urging him to allow religious groups to freely choose their leaders. Among the signatures were Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Rep. Diane Black (R-TN).Religious student groups form around specific beliefs, and provide an opportunity for like-minded individuals to assemble to study the tenets of their faith and engage in activities that enrich their religious experiences, the letter reads. It follows, then, that religious groups must be allowed to select leaders that share the group’s core religious beliefs in order to maintain their religious identities and carry out their primary functions. Selecting leaders that best represent a student organization’s mission is not discrimination; it is common sense. The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, a free speech group, has weighed on the university's actions, as well. In a Sept. 21 letter to the Chancellor, the group wrote that the decision to not approve CLS's constitution pits Vanderbilt against the American tradition of religious pluralism and impairs the freedoms of religion and association of its students.
A national debate
Vanderbilt is not the only university struggling to balance the conflicting interests of religious plurality and nondiscrimination.Just last week, the University of North Carolina ruled that a Christian a cappella group did not violate the university's nondiscrimination policy when the group unanimously decided to remove a gay member in August, over what the group said was a difference of beliefs. UNC Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs Winston Crisp told the Daily Tarheel the group could expel a member for not sharing a set of specific beliefs. An officer of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at Marquette University in Wisconsin was dismissed after coming out as gay and admitting to an affair with another male. The organization was initially suspended but then given a lesser sentence of probation.
Marquette expects all student organizations to adhere to the university’s Statement on Human Dignity which recognizes and cherishes the dignity of each individual regardless of age, culture, faith, ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, language, disability or social class,University spokeswoman Kate Venne told Life Site News.According to the Sept. 27 statement by Vanderbilt University, no decisions have been made regarding the religious groups on provisional status.Student groups that wish to practice their faith are welcome at Vanderbilt; however, it is incumbent upon them to decide whether they wish to become registered student organizations at the university, the statement reads.

Change to university policy alters protection for religious groups By Kyle Blaine Published Sep. 26, 2011. 1759 views
Campus religious organizations may be less secure than they were a year ago following changes made to the student handbook, the Hustler today learned.Vanderbilt University last year removed a clause protecting religious associations from its nondiscrimination policy following allegations that a Christian fraternity on campus asked an openly gay member to resign because of his sexual orientation. The change, made on Dec. 8, 2010, removed a sentence that guaranteed freedom of religious association for external organizations that associate with the university. The change was made after the Hustler reported the allegations on Nov. 5, 2010.

GENESIS 6:9 - 11:32
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.
19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
GENESIS 7:1-24
1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
5 And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.
17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
GENESIS 8:1-22
1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;
2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;
3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.
4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:
7 And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
8 Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;
9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.
10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;
11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
12 And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.
13 And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.
14 And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.
15 And God spake unto Noah, saying,
16 Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons’ wives with thee.
17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.
18 And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him:
19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.
20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
GENESIS 9:1-29
1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.
6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
18 And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.
19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.
20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.
29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.
GENESIS 10:1-32
1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.
2 The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

4 And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
6 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
7 And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,
12 And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.
13 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
14 And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.
15 And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
16 And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,
17 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
18 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.
19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.
20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.
21 Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
22 The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
23 And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
24 And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.
25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.
26 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
27 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
29 And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east.
31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
GENESIS 11:1-32
1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
10 These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:
11 And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
12 And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:
13 And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.
14 And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:
15 And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.
16 And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:
17 And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters.
18 And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:
19 And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.
20 And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:
21 And Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters.
22 And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:
23 And Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
24 And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:
25 And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.
26 And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
27 Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.
28 And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.
29 And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram’s wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.
30 But Sarai was barren; she had no child.
31 And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram’s wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.
32 And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.
PROPHETS PORTION
ISAIAH 52:13 - 55:5
13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:
15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.
ISAIAH 53:1-12
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
ISAIAH 54:1-17
1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.
2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.
9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.
13 And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
ISAIAH 55:1-5
1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
NEW TESTAMENT PORTION
MATTHEW 24:36-44
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
LUKE 17:26-37
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 Remember Lot’s wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
ACTS 2:1-16
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
1 PETER 3:18-22
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
2 PETER 2:5
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
TORAH PORTION NOACH GENESIS 6:9-11:32
13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;
2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;
8 Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;
9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.
10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;
8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
3 And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
1 PETER 3:18-22
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
