Casey Anthony Verdict: Not Guilty Of Murder

http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2011/07/casey-anthony-jury-verdict-not-guilty
Casey Anthony is not guilty of murder. In a stunning decision, the 12-member jury in the Orange County, Florida, trial of Casey Anthony has found her not guilty of first-degree murder in the death of her two-year-old daughter, Caylee. She was also found not guilty of aggravated child abuse and not guilty of aggravated manslaughter of a child. However, Anthony, 25, was found guilty only on four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to law enforcement officers. When the verdict was read, Anthony fought back tears before regaining her composure and even broke a smile at one point. While Judge Belvin Perry spoke, Anthony broke down again in tears before hugging her attorney, Jose Baez.Casey’s parents, George and Cindy, were present in the courthouse when the verdict was read they remained calm. The case went into the hands of the jury on Monday, July 4, after 33 days of often dramatic testimony and a day and a half of passionate closing arguments — with the verdict coming after less than 12 hours of deliberation.Throughout the trial, the defense claimed Caylee accidentally drowned and with the help of Casey’s father George, hid the body — although Casey herself never took the stand.
Jury ends 1st day without verdict on Casey Anthony
By KYLE HIGHTOWER - Associated Press | JULY 4,11
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Jurors did not reach a verdict Monday in the Casey Anthony murder trial after deliberating for almost six hours on the prosecution's claim that the woman killed her 2-year-old daughter Caylee because the toddler interrupted her carefree partying and love life. The jury began considering the case around noon after prosecutors gave a rebuttal closing argument and said the defense's assertion that Caylee's death was an accident made no sense.Anthony is charged with first-degree murder and six other charges. If convicted of first-degree murder, she could be sentenced to death or life in prison. The sequestered jury of seven women and five men was scheduled to resume deliberating Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. They were chosen from the Tampa Bay area because of exhaustive pretrial media coverage in the Orlando area and have been sequestered in an Orlando hotel. They have listened to 33 days of testimony and another two days of closing arguments. All the evidence has been sent back to the jury room, but jurors will be brought into open court if they want to watch any of the video evidence. Equipment for video viewing is not available in the deliberation room.Anthony's attorneys say the girl drowned in the family's pool. They have said Anthony panicked and that her father, a former police officer, decided to make the death look like a homicide by placing duct tape over the child's mouth and dumping the body in some nearby woods. George Anthony has denied that.
Prosecutor Jeff Ashton told the jurors no one makes an innocent accident look like murder. That's absurd. Nothing has been presented to you to make that any less absurd, Ashton said. He also spent significant time reminding jurors about forensic evidence that he said links Anthony to her daughter's death, including the smell and chemical signature of decomposition in her car.Lead prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick followed Ashton, telling the jurors that prosecutors presented every piece of evidence they promised in May during opening statements. Without saying it, she was pointing out that defense attorneys never presented direct evidence backing up their contentions that the child drowned. She then hammered on the lies Casey Anthony, then 22, told from June 16, 2008, when her daughter last seen, and a month later when sheriff's investigators were notified. Those include the single mother telling her parents that she couldn't produce Caylee because the girl was with a nanny named Zanny, a woman who doesn't exist; that she and her daughter were spending time in Jacksonville with a rich boyfriend who doesn't exist; and that Zanny had been hospitalized after an out-of-town traffic crash and that they were spending time with her.Responses to grief are as varied as the day is long, but responses to guilt are oh, so predictable,Drane Burdick said. What do guilty people do? They lie. They avoid. They run. They mislead, not just to their family, but the police. They divert attention away from themselves and they act like nothing is wrong. That's why you heard about what happened in those 31 days.Burdick concluded the state's case by showing the jury two side-by-side images. One showed Casey Anthony smiling and partying in a nightclub during the month Caylee was missing. The other was of the beautiful life tattoo she got a day before her family and law enforcement first learned of the child's disappearance.
At the end of this case, all you have to ask yourself is whose life was better without Caylee? Burdick asked. This is your answer.Anthony sat stone-faced during much of the prosecutors' arguments, but occasionally shook her head in disagreement and spoke under her breath.Defense attorneys contend Anthony's lies and erratic behavior were brought on by her grief over her dead child and the sexual abuse she suffered as a child from her father. George Anthony has denied that allegation, and the judge said no evidence has been presented to support it.Defense attorney Jose Baez said during his closing argument Sunday that the prosecutors' case was so weak they tried to portray Anthony as a lying, no-good slut and that their forensic evidence was based on a fantasy. He said Caylee's death was an accident that snowballed out of control.Baez began his closing argument Sunday with his biggest question: How did Caylee die? Neither prosecutors nor the defense have offered firm proof. He attacked the prosecution's forensic evidence. He said air analysis of the trunk of Anthony's car, which allegedly showed air molecules consistent with decomposition, could not be duplicated. No one could prove a stain found in the trunk was caused by Caylee's body decomposing there. And witnesses showed maggots found in the trunk came from a bag of trash that was found there, he said. They throw enough against the wall and see what sticks. That is what they're doing ... right down to the cause of death,Baez said. He conceded his client had told elaborate lies and invented imaginary friends and even a fake father for Caylee, but he said that doesn't mean she killed her daughter.Baez also attacked George Anthony as unreliable. He said a suicide note that George Anthony wrote in January 2009 that claimed no knowledge of what happened to Caylee was self-serving and the attempt was a fraud. He said George Anthony claimed he was going to kill himself with a six-pack of beer and some high-blood pressure medicine.
JUDGE BELVIN PERRY INSTRUCTS JURORS ON THE SENTENCES TO CASEY ANTHONY

Judge to instruct jurors in Casey Anthony trial
By The Associated Press Published: July 04, 2011

ORLANDO --Judge Belvin Perry will instruct the Pinellas County jurors on the seven separate charges Casey Anthony faces, including first-degree murder. The jurors will then deliberate and decide which portrait of the 25-year-old woman to believe.Lead prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick told the jurors during the rebuttal closing argument Monday that she and her colleagues backed up every claim they made in their opening statement six weeks ago. Without saying it, she was pointing out to the jury that the defense never directly backed up its opening statement claim that Anthony's 2-year-old daughter Caylee drowned and that Anthony's father made the death look like a murder.Prosecutor Jeff Ashton told the Florida jury Monday during his rebuttal closing argument in the Anthony murder trial that no one ever makes an accident look like murder. He says the defense never showed why George Anthony would place duct tape over his dead granddaughter Caylee's body and dump her in the woods instead of calling 911.Prosecutors say it is absurd to think her 2-year-old daughter drowned or that Anthony's father covered up the girl's death to make it look like murder.Prosecutors contend the 25-year-old defendant suffocated her daughter with duct tape in June 2008. Her attorneys contend Caylee accidentally drowned in the family pool. They say Anthony's father decided to make the death look like a homicide after the defendant panicked.Prosecutors began their rebuttal final argument by trying to persuade the jury that their forensic evidence was strong, countering the defense accusation that it was based on fantasy.Ashton started by talking about the skeleton of 2-year-old Caylee Anthony, which was found in some woods six months after the child disappeared in June 2008. The defense contends the skeleton was either placed there or had been disturbed.
Ashton said prosecution scientists all agreed that the skeleton had been there for months and that the skull and jaw bone were being held together by duct tape, which meant it had been in place before the body decomposed. The prosecution contends Anthony suffocated her daughter with duct tape. The state contends Anthony was a party girl who killed Caylee because the toddler got in the way of her love life.
Something needed to be sacrificed, that something was either the life she wanted or the life thrust upon her. She chose to sacrifice her child,Ashton said during his original 90-minute argument Sunday. Her attorneys contend that Caylee accidentally drowned in a pool, and that the troubled mother's lies and erratic behavior afterward were brought on by trauma from her own childhood. They say Anthony panicked and that her father, a former police officer, decided to make the death look like a murder and dumped the body.Defense attorney Jose Baez said during his closing argument Sunday that the prosecutors' case was so weak they tried to portray Anthony as a lying, no-good slut and that their forensic evidence was based on a fantasy. He said Caylee's death was an accident that snowballed out of control.Casey Anthony has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder. She could face a possible death sentence or life in prison if convicted of that charge.Anthony also is charged with aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child and four counts of providing false information to law enforcement. The child abuse and manslaughter charges each carry a 30-year prison term if she's convicted.
The defense claimed Anthony was hiding emotional distress caused by alleged sexual abuse from her father. Her father has denied that claim. The judge has ruled that no evidence of such abuse has been presented and struck it from closing arguments.Baez began his closing argument Sunday with his biggest question: How did Caylee die? Neither prosecutors nor the defense have offered firm proof. He attacked the prosecution's forensic evidence. He said air analysis of the trunk of Anthony's car, which allegedly showed air molecules consistent with decomposition, could not be duplicated. No one could prove a stain found in the trunk was caused by Caylee's body decomposing there. And witnesses showed maggots found in the trunk came from a bag of trash that was found there, he said. They throw enough against the wall and see what sticks. That is what they're doing … right down to the cause of death, Baez said. He conceded his client had told elaborate lies and invented imaginary friends and even a fake father for Caylee, but he said that doesn't mean she killed her daughter.Baez also attacked Anthony's father, George Anthony, as unreliable. He said a suicide note that George Anthony wrote in January 2009 that claimed no knowledge of what happened to Caylee was self-serving and the attempt was a fraud. He said George Anthony claimed he was going to kill himself with a six-pack of beer and some high-blood pressure medicine.Ashton, the prosecutor, began his closing argument Sunday by showing a video of Casey Anthony playing with Caylee, causing Anthony to apparently choke back tears. But she quickly regained her composure. He said Caylee's death wasn't an accident because three pieces of duct tape were placed on her face — one on the mouth, one on the nose and one over those to be thorough. He then told the jury that Anthony worried Caylee was getting to the age where she would have told Anthony's parents the woman was spending her days and nights with her boyfriend — not going to work and leaving Caylee with a nanny.Casey is very bright, Ashton said. Her lies are very detailed. … But when Casey wants to do what Casey wants to do, she finds a way.
The prosecutor then described the lies Anthony told her parents, George and Cindy Anthony, about why she couldn't produce Caylee after the toddler was last seen June 16, 2008: that she was with a nanny named Zanny, a woman who doesn't exist; that Anthony and her daughter were spending time in Jacksonville with a rich boyfriend who doesn't exist; and that Zanny had been hospitalized after an out-of-town traffic accident and that they were spending time with her.The lies only fell apart, Ashton said, a month later when a junkyard employee told George and Cindy Anthony their daughter's car had been towed. When they picked it up, they discovered a foul odor. George Anthony, a former police officer, and the tow yard operator said it smelled like human decomposition.Cindy Anthony then tracked down her daughter. When she couldn't produce Caylee, her parents then called police. Casey Anthony then told investigators she worked at Universal Studios theme park as an event planner. She went so far as to take them there, talk her way past security into an office building. She gave up the lie as she was walking down the hall.Ashton then attacked the defense contention that Caylee drowned and that George Anthony helped Casey Anthony cover it up. No one faced with an accidental drowning would do that instead of calling 911, Ashton said.It is a trip down a rabbit hole into a bizarre world where men who love their granddaughters find them drowned and do nothing, Ashton said. Where men who love their granddaughters take an accident, a completely innocent act, and make it look like a murder for no reason. A world where a man who buries his pets will take the granddaughter who was the love of his life and throw her in a swamp.Judge Perry angrily stopped Baez's closing arguments after he referred to Ashton as this laughing guy. Television showed Ashton smiling behind his hand at Baez's contention that the prosecution's forensic evidence was based on fantasy. One of Perry's written orders is that the attorneys not show emotion to the other side's statements.Ashton apologized and said he tried to hide his expressions. Baez also apologized. Perry warned all of the attorneys that any other incidents would result in that attorney's removal from the trial
Casey Anthony murder trial goes to jury 11
Barbara Liston, REUTERS Monday, July 4, 2011 12:38:41 EDT PM
ORLANDO, FLA. - The jury in the first-degree murder trial of Casey Anthony began deliberations on Monday afternoon as the trial entered its seventh week with no break for the Independence Day holiday.Judge Belvin Perry recessed court at 6 p.m. and sent the jury back to their hotel for the night after the jury received the case just after noon. The decision to stop the jury's work was made in order to transport the jurors ahead of the crowds expected to jam streets in Orlando for the evening's traditional Fourth of July fireworks celebration at Lake Eola, just a couple of blocks from the courthouse, court spokeswoman Karen Levey said.Jurors are scheduled to resume their work at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and work as late as they choose.Casey Anthony, 25, faces the death penalty if found guilty of first-degree murder in the June 16, 2008, death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.Anthony, who has been in jail for almost three years awaiting trial, chose not to testify in her own behalf.
Casey Anthony also is charged with aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and four counts of providing false information to a law enforcement officer.Prosecutors say Casey smothered Caylee with duct tape, drove around for several days with Caylee's body in her car trunk and then dumped the remains in woods near the Anthony family home.Casey initially told detectives that Caylee had been kidnapped by a nanny, triggering a nationwide search that ended on December 11, 2008. That's when Caylee's skeletal remains were found in woods near the Anthony family home with duct tape dangling from her skull.Defense lawyer Jose Baez provided an alternate theory of Caylee's death, claiming that Caylee accidentally drowned in the Anthony's backyard swimming pool on June 16, 2008, and that, for some unspecified reason, her death was not reported.
NOVEL EVIDENCE
The trial featured novel scientific evidence concerning the chemical signatures found in the odor of death.Evidence during the six weeks of testimony showed that Casey lied to friends and family for a month about Caylee's whereabouts while Casey spent time with her boyfriend, dancing at nightclubs, shopping and getting tattoos.
Casey's mother Cindy testified that Casey rebuffed her attempts for four weeks to see or talk to Caylee by claiming that she and Caylee were in Tampa, Jacksonville and various other places.Cindy finally called 911 and reported Caylee missing on July 15, 2008, after finding Casey's car abandoned at an impound lot smelling of what she and numerous witnesses testified they recognized as a dead body.During their Monday afternoon deliberations, Levey said the jury had access to all of the evidence presented at trial except for a can of air captured from Casey's car trunk.
Prosecutors submitted the air sample to a human decomposition expert who claimed the air chemistry was consistent with a dead body in the trunk. The expert also testified that when he opened the can, he jumped back, overcome by what he recognized the odor of death. The defense challenged the findings and contended the odor was a result of trash left in the car trunk.Judge Perry ruled jurors would not be allowed to open the can to smell the odor for themselves because that would make them, in effect, witnesses. Perry said Casey had a right to confront all witnesses.
FINAL ARGUMENTS
Prosecutors and the defense team each spent about 4 hours Sunday and Monday trying to sway the jury to their viewpoint.Prosecutor Linda Burdick told the jury on Monday that Casey was a pathological liar who behaved more like a guilty person than a grieving mother after Caylee's death. What do guilty people do? They lie. They avoid. They run, Burdick said.Prosecutor Jeff Ashton said there is no innocent reason for anyone to ever put duct tape on a child's face. He ridiculed the defense suggestion that Caylee's death was an accident.People don't make accidents look like murder. That's absurd, Ashton said.Baez, in his closing argument on Sunday, tried to point the finger at Casey's father George.Baez had promised jurors in his opening statement at the beginning of the trial to provide evidence that George sexually molested Casey. Baez suggested the sexual abuse explained Casey's behavior after Caylee's death which even Baez acknowledged was bizarre and inappropriate. However, Judge Perry ruled on Sunday that no evidence of sexual abuse was presented and prohibited both sides from mentioning the issue in their closing arguments.Baez argued that the prosecution provided no direct evidence of how, where or when Caylee died. Baez suggested jurors were left with more answers than questions. There are no mysteries to solve here ... if you have questions, it was not proven,Baez said.
Casey Anthony murder trial nears conclusion
Reuters By Barbara Liston | JULY 3,11
ORLANDO, Fla (Reuters) - The murder trial of Casey Anthony barreled toward a close on Sunday, with an angry judge reprimanding feuding lawyers and promising to throw them out of the courtroom for any more inappropriate behavior.Defense attorneys and prosecutors were expected to complete closing arguments on Sunday and the sequestered jury was to hear instructions from Judge Belvin Perry and receive the case on Independence Day.Tensions in the seven-week trial of the mother accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee boiled over as defense attorney Jose Baez's closing arguments drew several objections from prosecutors.Prosecutors objected to being characterized as sneaky and pulling a fast one and Baez in mid-sentence pointed at prosecutor Jeff Ashton, calling him this laughing guy over here.Perry halted Baez's closing argument, sent the jury on a break and after reviewing a videotape said that both attorneys had violated courtroom rules on behavior. Both attorneys apologized. Ashton conceded that he appeared to be smiling, but said that he was trying to prevent the jury from seeing his response to Baez's remarks. Baez in turn apologized for getting caught in the moment.Perry promised the attorneys they would be evicted from the courtroom and face a quite, quite unpleasant punishment for further behavior in violation of courtroom rules. The now seven-week long murder trial resumed after about an hour and Baez continued his closing for nearly another hour.If convicted of the most serious charge, first-degree murder, Casey Anthony could face the death penalty.
In a closing argument lasting about 80 minutes, Ashton argued that Casey Anthony, now 25, killed Caylee on June 16, 2008, to eliminate what she saw as the biggest obstacle to her living the carefree life of her dreams.Casey Anthony decided on June 16th that something had to be sacrificed ... . She took (Caylee's) life and put her in the trunk (of her car) and forgot about her, Ashton said.Baez, banned on Sunday from arguing to the jury that Casey Anthony was sexually abused by either her father or brother, focused his closing argument on reasonable doubt. He argued that Caylee accidently drowned in the Anthony's backyard pool and suggested Casey's father George had something to do with the fact that Caylee's death went unreported. This was an accident that snowballed out of control,Baez told the jury.Whatever happened afterward has nothing to do with the crimes charged.
NO SEXUAL ABUSE CLAIMS
During opening statements, Baez had told the jury evidence would show Casey was abused by her father starting at age 8 and that was why she showed no remorse after her daughter's death.Perry ruled that Baez could not raise the sexual abuse claim and blocked prosecutors from telling jurors that the defense had failed to present evidence on it during the trial.Prosecutors say Casey smothered Caylee with duct tape so she could live a life free of the demands of motherhood, stored the body in her car trunk for several days and then dumped the remains in woods near her family's home.Casey lied to friends and family about Caylee's whereabouts for a month. Then on July 15, Casey's mother Cindy called the sheriff's department after finding Casey's car at an impound lot smelling, to her, like a body had been in the trunk.Casey told investigators Caylee had been kidnapped by a nanny, triggering a nationwide search for the toddler. Caylee's skeletal remains were found in the woods on December 11, 2008.Baez now maintains that Casey and her father, George, lost track of Caylee that morning at the house shared by Casey, Caylee, George and Cindy. Baez said Casey and George searched the house and yard before George found the toddler's body in the pool.
GEORGE DENIED DROWNING STORY
Baez also told the jury that the reason Casey acted inappropriately after the death -- lying about Caylee's whereabouts, partying with friends and getting tattoos -- was because she had a history of sexual abuse by her father. The defense never produced evidence that Casey was sexually abused by George and George denied the allegation in testimony. George also denied Baez's story about a drowning death. If the jury finds Casey guilty of premeditated first-degree murder, the trial will enter a second phase in which the jury will make a recommendation on whether Casey should be executed or sentenced to life in prison. To show premeditation, prosecutors presented evidence of Internet searches conducted three months before Caylee died on the desktop computer at the Anthony home.Someone -- the prosecution suggests it was Casey -- searched for the keywords chloroform, how to make chloroform, neck-breaking, internal bleeding, ruptured spleen and death, according to experts who examined the computer's hard drive.Chloroform is an anesthetic that can knock people out or even kill them. The chemical is also released by decaying bodies. A prosecution expert testified he found a large quantity of chloroform in Casey's trunk. In surprise testimony on June 23, Cindy said she was the one who had looked up chloroform while researching whether chlorophyll in bamboo leaves in the yard had sickened her dog. Cindy said she had skipped out on work and made the searches on the home computer. However, records obtained last week by the prosecution from Cindy's former employer showed she had been entering data at her office work station at the same time she said she was making the Internet search at home.(Editing by Cynthia Johnston and David Bailey)

DOCTOR DOCTORIAN FROM ANGEL OF GOD
then the angel said, Financial crisis will come to Asia. I will shake the world.
JAMES 5:1-3
1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
REVELATION 18:10,17,19
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
EZEKIEL 7:19
19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
REVELATION 13:16-18
16 And he(FALSE POPE) causeth all,(WORLD SOCIALISM) both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:(CHIP IMPLANT)
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.(6-6-6) A NUMBER SYSTEM

Polish leader raises alarm about new euroscepticism
ANDREW RETTMAN 01.07.2011 @ 17:12 CET
EUOBSERVER / WARSAW - The financial crisis and Arab Spring migrants have given rise to a new euroscepticism inside the union, Polish leader Donald Tusk has warned as Poland takes over the EU presidency.Contrasting a new breed of hypocrisy with the old ideological EU-pessimism in the UK, Tusk said continental leaders have begun aggressively protecting national interests despite their pro-EU rhetoric. The union is going through one of the most difficult and complicated moments in its history, he told press at an event in Warsaw on Friday (1 July). When I speak of a new euroscepticism, I am not talking about traditional euroscepticism as in [the UK] ... I am talking about the birth of a phenomenon which does not declare itself. I mean the behaviour of politicians who say they support the EU and further integration but at the same time take steps that weaken the union.Tusk declined to name names, but he pointed to France and Italy in his criticism of fresh border restrictions in the passport-free Schengen zone after Tunisian migrants began crossing the Mediterranean en masse. With Germany initially voicing opposition to the second Greek bail-out, he added that there is a lack of financial solidarity in the union.People are saying to one another: You're inadequate. You should leave the EU. You shoud leave the euro. I see such tedencies and I believe the right path is the opposite one ... I am convinced that what the EU needs is further integration,he said.He noted that Poles do not see joint economic governance or externally-imposed austerity programmes, as in Greece, as a threat: We lived for many years as a non-sovereign country, under Soviet occupation. For us European integration is not a threat to sovereignty because we experienced not long ago a serious threat to our sovereignty. With surveys saying that 80 percent of Poles favour EU membership, Tusk spoke of Polish energy and pro-EU feeling as an antidote to the new malaise: The European Union is fantastic. It is the best place on earth where you can be born and live your life.
Despite dropping hints about fellow EU leaders' negative behaviour, Tusk signalled he will take a non-confrontational approach over the coming six months. He declined to criticise France and Germany for cooking up eurozone reforms at a meeting in Deauville, France earlier this year. There is no point in being upset that France and Germany are so big, but we must make sure they do not exploit their size in an inappropriate way,he said. And he did not insist on proposals for the Polish finance minister to sit-in on meetings of the euro-using countries in Brussels, joking I don't want to force my way into someone else's house. The Polish presidency was launched on a rainy Friday in Warsaw with a VIP gala attended by outgoing EU presidency leader, Hungary's Viktor Orban, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and EU Council chief Herman Van Rompuy. The government also put on four music concerts and put up little EU flags and billboards on some main streets.Barroso at the gala echoed Tusk's remarks about the importance of Polish EU enthusiasm while Orban gave a rousing ode to Poland's defeat of Communism and its role in European reunification.Poland's relationship with the EU is perhaps less rosy than the VIPs made out, however.Other surveys say most young Poles do not know what the EU presidency is. And Polish appetite to join the eurozone has waned: just 42 percent of Poles now support euro-entry compared to a clear majority before the crisis.
Meanwhile, in the run-up to 1 July, Tusk opened himself to charges of the same egoism he diagnosed among his peers when Poland blocked an EU move toward deeper cuts in CO2 emissions in order to protect its national coal sector. This [kind of] approach can prove a threat to Europe as a whole,Kuba Gogolewski, an eviornmental campaigner with CEE Bankwatch Network, commented on the move.
Polish minister pledges loyalty to EU's Ashton
ANDREW RETTMAN 02.07.2011 @ 20:09 CET
EUOBSERVER / WARSAW - Polish foreign minister Radek Sikorski has promised to be EU foreign relations chief Catherine Ashton's loyal deputy. But his outspoken ways could upstage her despite his best intentions.Sikorski made the pledge at a press briefing in Warsaw on Friday (1 July) as Poland took over the rotating EU presidency.
Under the Lisbon Treaty, Ashton became the official figurehead for EU foreign policy. But she has found it hard to assert her role as big EU countries take the lead on major developments such as Libya and amid grumbling that she is not cut out for the job.Sikorski in deference to Ashton on Friday declined to say if Poland would back the Palestinians if they apply for UN membership in September. We [EU foreign ministers] have agreed to withhold our national positions to help Cathy Ashton reach a consensus. There is a need for the EU to speak on this with one voice,he said.He also defended her against criticism that she is not active enough.
She has an impossible portfolio. She has taken over the portfolios of two previous commissioners. She's trying to co-ordinate the positions of 27 countries on difficult issues such as the Middle East and she is trying to create her own ministry from scratch. On any given day, she should be in five places at once. His deputised tasks are to include a trip in Ashton's name to Afghanistan and India. He will also help her put together EU aid for post-war governance in Libya and new ways of funding NGOs in repressive countries.Minor tension has already emerged on the Middle East, however. An EU diplomatic source said Ashton asked Poland not to call an informal EU foreign ministers' meeting in September in case ministers go off message on the Palestine question at a sensitive moment. But Poland called the meeting anyway, to take place one week before the UN event.Meanwhile, Ashton's cautious approach to media could see the more flamboyant Polish minister put her in the shade over the next six months.Reacting to press questions about Libya and Belarus on Friday, Sikorski could not resist making risque jokes. On whether Colonel Gaddafi should step down, Sikorski said: If he were to ask for transit over Polish territory to seek asylum in Belarus, we would be helpful ... I think he [Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko] and Gaddafi would get on like a house on fire. With Ashton's attention on the Middle East, Poland is also likely to play a leading role on EU relations with post-Soviet countries.Ukraine's EU ambassador recently complained that he has been asking Ashton to come to Kiev for the past year to no avail. When asked by EUobserver about prospects for ending the frozen conflict in EU-aspirant Moldova, a diplomat in Ashton's service said: Frankly, we don't care. For his part, Sikorski on Friday noted that the Polish presidency is looking to clinch an EU association pact with Ukraine and to make progress on a similar deal with Molodva as two top priorities. He also made clear that Poland wants to make a historic mark on EU affairs during its six-month tenure.Looking to plans to sign an accession treaty with Croatia in autumn, the minister said: The options [for a venue for the treaty ceremony] are Brussels, Warsaw and Zagreb. We like Croatia but we wouldn't mind the accession treaty for Croatia being known as the Warsaw Treaty.

EZEKIEL 38:1-12
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog,(RULER) the land of Magog,(RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW)and Tubal,(TOBOLSK) and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW) and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws,(GOD FORCES THE RUSSIA-MUSLIMS TO MARCH) and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.(RUSSIA-EGYPT AND MUSLIMS)
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south( EGYPT) push at him:(EU DICTATOR IN ISRAEL) and the king of the north (RUSSIA AND MUSLIM HORDES OF EZEK 38+39) shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.(JORDAN)
42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
EZEKIEL 39:1-8
1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog,(LEADER OF RUSSIA) and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech (MOSCOW) and Tubal: (TUBOLSK)
2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts,(RUSSIA) and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands,( ARABS) and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog,(NUCLEAR BOMB) and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Egypt: Pipeline Carrying Gas to Israel Explodes Again
by Elad Benari JULY 4,11
The pipeline carrying gas from Egypt to Israel and Jordan exploded early Monday morning, officials have said.According to a report in the BBC, the blast happened at a pumping station at Nagah, in the Bir al-Abd region of the northern Sinai Peninsula (about 80 kilometers from the north Sinai town of El-Arish).Security officials told the AFP news agency that the explosion was caused by saboteurs, noting that a suspicious car had parked near the pipeline shortly before the explosion. The officials added that the explosion had sent flames into the sky and cut gas supplies to Israel and Jordan. They said emergency services were deployed to the area to try to bring the fire under control. This is the third time Egyptian gas pipelines have been attacked former President Hosni Mubarak was removed from power in an uprising.
The first attack in February was later confirmed to have been a terror attack. A second attack occurred on April 27, also by unknown saboteurs. There was also a failed attack which occurred in March. Six terrorists, reportedly Bedouin, tried to blow up the pipeline but the timer failed to detonate the explosives, preventing a huge economic and political crisis.(IsraelNationalNews.com)
Muslim Brotherhood to U.S.: Stop Backing Israel and We'll Talk by Elad Benari JULY 4,11
The radical Islamic group Muslim Brotherhood is ready to speak with the United States but is conditioning talks on America’s support for Israel. On Saturday, a spokesman for the group said it was prepared to talk with the U.S. He was responding to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s remarks late last week. Clinton had said the Obama administration wants to open a dialog with the group. We believe, given the changing political landscape in Egypt, that it is in the interests of the United States to engage with all parties that are peaceful and committed to nonviolence, that intend to compete for the parliament and the presidency, she told reporters in Budapest, Hungary, adding: We welcome, therefore, dialogue with those Muslim Brotherhood members who wish to talk with us.Muslim Brotherhood spokesman Mahmoud Ghozlan reportedly responded in an e-mailed statement, and was quoted by Bloomberg News as having said: We are ready for dialogue with the U.S. administration, if it so decides, within a framework of mutual respect.Ghozlan added, however, that his group hopes that the U.S. administration has revised its previous policies and decided to side with the rights of the people and their demands.
He also made sure to mention Israel, saying the U.S. should stop supporting the corrupt and tyrannical regimes, backing the Zionist occupation and using double standards.Ghozlan’s statement also said that no dialogue has taken place so far between the Muslim Brotherhood and the U.S., but added that there had been contact with the U.S. embassy in Cairo in the past.Members of the Muslim Brotherhood, joined by allied Hamas fighters from Gaza, were at the fore of some of the most violent protests during the demonstrations in Egypt that resulted in the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak. The group later created a broad super-coalition of opposition parties in hopes of taking Egypt's next government by storm. The group’s leaders have publicly stated they would implement Muslim sharia law in Egypt should they take office.(IsraelNationalNews.com)
Hamas Hints at More Kidnappings to Force Shalit Deal
by Elad Benari JULY 4,11
The Hamas-run Al-Risala newspaper reported on its website on Sunday that Palestinian Authority-based terrorist groups may carry out another operation like the kidnapping of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.Abu Ataya, a spokesman for the Popular Resistance Committees, one of the three terrorist organizations which joined together to kidnap Shalit in June 2006, was quoted by the newspaper as saying the PA terror organizations have the ability to carry out a similar operation if they wish.Shalit’s kidnapping was not the first nor will it be the last, he said.We will return the ball to our court when and where it will be appropriate, and in a way which will surprise everyone and especially the occupation.Meanwhile, a PA Arab commentator who is considered an expert on Israel, Hatem Abu Zaida, told Al-Risala that he believes the terror organizations will try to kidnap Israeli soldiers using other methods which Israel does not expect. He added that Israel would in the end be forced accept the terms of the kidnappers and release terrorist prisoners.Abu Obeida, a spokesman for Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, refused to directly address his organization’s future course of action regarding the kidnapping of soldiers, noting that we will not provide the enemy with free information. At the conclusion of the article, its author expressed hope that there will soon be another kidnapping of soldiers.
The article comes after last week, an official with the Palestinian Authority defended Hamas, saying it was not Hamas terrorists who kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. The PA’s representative in Belgium, Leila Shahid, said during a joint meeting with Israeli representatives that it was a terror organization other than Hamas who kidnapped Shalit and transferred him to Hamas.Shalit, meanwhile, continues to be held by Hamas terrorists in Gaza and has not been allowed visits by the International Red Cross for the entire five years which have passed since his kidnapping. The organization recently called on Hamas to prove that Shalit is still alive.Earlier on Sunday, parents who have lost children to terrorist attacks called for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to release the names of terrorists that Israel would agree to release in exchange for Gilad Shalit. The demands were made following reports that Netanyahu has agreed to a proposal by a German mediator regarding Shalit’s release.(IsraelNationalNews.com)
Report: Despite Terror Attacks, Israel Aids Gaza's Citizens by Elad Benari JULY 4,11
The IDF’s Coordinator of Government Activities in Judea and Samaria, Major General Eitan Dangot, revealed last week that more than 60 rockets and mortar shells out of 460 rockets and mortar shells fired in the past year at the northern Negev from the Gaza Strip, were aimed directly at the land crossings from Israel into Gaza.Dangot made the comments during a briefing to foreign reporters in Jerusalem, in which he explained how Israel assists Gaza’s citizens. He said that Israel has invested over 50 million shekels in renovating and increasing the capacity of the Kerem Shalom crossing, the crossing through which most of the goods enter Gaza.Dangot presented to the foreign journalists a long list of relief measures taken by Israel to help the Gaza Strip since the Cabinet decision of June 2010, in which it was decided to increase the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip.Among the measures taken were: increasing the number of trucks that transport goods into the Gaza Strip, renovating the land crossings into Gaza and increasing the range of goods allowed into the Strip, approving extensive projects in Gaza funded by members of the international community, increasing the export of agricultural produce from Gaza, and increasing the amount of entry and exit permits from Gaza into Israel for Gaza’s residents.
Dangot’s comments are in line with an illustrative video released by the IDF spokesperson’s office last week. The video details the amount of goods Israel transfers to the inhabitants of Gaza on any given week. This includes 6,000 tons of goods (around 260 truckloads) which are transferred into Gaza on a daily basis. The products transferred into the Strip include baby food, poultry, vegetables, construction materials, and other miscellaneous goods such as medicine, clothing, electrical equipment and hygiene products.Major General Dangot noted further that Israel even regularly transfers luxuries into the Strip, including LCD screens, luxury cars such as Mercedes and Hyundai jeeps, modern refrigerators, and whirlpool bathtubs. He emphasized that these goods enter Gaza daily and are not part of any special one-time deliveries. He also emphasized that the civilian policy toward Gaza shows Israel’s humanitarian efforts and said that as such, there is absolutely no humanitarian crisis in Gaza, a fact which is often claimed by the Hamas terror group, as well as by the organizers of the Freedom Flotilla 2.He added that Israel’s policy towards Gaza’s population has led to an improvement in the Gaza Strip and has resulted in an increase in the living standards there. He added that evidence shows that there has been an increase of 15% in the GDP in the Gaza Strip, and an increase of approximately 11% in the GDP per capita.Major General Dangot stressed that Israel has allowed for this aid to enter the Strip despite the continued terrorist attacks originating in Gaza towards communities in southern Israel(IsraelNationalNews.com)

Severe Storm Causes Two Deaths in Wisconsin
ContributorNetwork Tammy Lee Morris – JULY 3,11
Severe storms moved through Wisconsin and Minnesota on Friday, resulting in tragedy in one Wisconsin county where countless people were camping and getting ready for the holiday weekend. One 11-year-old girl was killed when a tree fell on her after it was struck by lightning. The Associated Press reported that the girl was from Minnesota but did not release her name.According to Wisconsin Emergency Management Agency, the girl was camping in Burnett County with her family when the storm hit. The Agency reported that two deaths resulted from this storm. The other death occurred when a local man suffered a heart attack but it was not clear if the heart attack was related to the storm.More than three dozen other people in northwestern Wisconsin were injured by the storm and reports stated that this weather event brought 80 mile per hour winds, softball size hail and plenty of damage. Campgrounds, lakes, rivers and state parks suffered damage from downed trees. The storm knocked out power to thousands of homes in eastern South Dakota and western Wisconsin. This round of storms affected areas that normally have smaller populations but due to the Fourth of July holiday, thousands of visitors had already started packing the campgrounds that were hit by the storm. This year has already seen excessive weather events that have grabbed headlines and plenty of attention. A number of EF-5 tornadoes have struck at various locations in the United States and caused extreme death and destruction. Town names such as Joplin and Tuscaloosa have become synonymous with severe weather due to this year's tornado season. Historically, Wisconsin has not been known for having a high number of storm fatalities or injuries.
For example, 2010 statistics from the National Weather Service show that the state experienced six storm-related fatalities last year and 50 injuries. In contrast, Oklahoma had the highest number of injuries in 2010 with 410 while Tennessee had the highest number of deaths at 53.Wisconsin EMA reported that several counties had storm damage and power outages from this storm. The agency stated that the hardest hit counties in northwest Wisconsin were Douglas, Burnett and Washburn counties where there were reports of at least two homes destroyed. WEMA reported that a hanger in Solon Springs had one wall collapse due to the storm causing the building to fall on a small single engine plane. It was reported that the high winds blew away the roof of the hanger building.Tammy Lee Morris is certified as a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member and is a trained Skywarn Stormspotter through the National Weather Service. Floods damage homes, disrupt traffic in Denmark
– Sun Jul 3, 6:41 am ET
COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Authorities say heavy rains have flooded hundreds of homes and several streets in Denmark's capital, disrupting traffic and delaying trains.Jeppe Ilkjaer, a spokesman for the rescue services company Falck, says his organization has received calls from more than 1,000 home owners in Copenhagen whose cellars have been flooded following the rains late Saturday. The Danish Road Directorate says the floods have forced it to close four major freeways surrounding the city Sunday and have delayed trains in the region. No one has been injured by the floods, which also have disrupted telephone lines to Copenhagen police.Rescue Services said 150 millimeters (6 inches) of rain fell over the Copenhagen area on Saturday and more heavy showers are expected Sunday evening.
US nuclear lab to reopen after wildfire threat ends
JULY 3,11
LOS ANGELES (AFP) – Officials at the Los Alamos National Laboratory said they will re-open the nuclear research center on Wednesday after it was closed in late June due to an encroaching wildfire. The site in the southwestern state of New Mexico, where the atomic bomb was developed during World War II, appears to have escaped serious damage from the Las Conchas fire, read a lab statement Sunday. The site will re-open to employees on Wednesday, July 6 following the largest wildfire in New Mexico history, the statement read.Only senior leaders and essential services will be be permitted at the Lab on Tuesday, it added.Flames reached laboratory property on June 27, but caused no damage. However the lab closed down temporarily, in part because the nearby town of Los Alamos, where half the lab employees live, was forced to evacuate. All hazardous and radioactive materials were accounted for and protected during the shutdown, as were key lab facilities such as its proton accelerator and supercomputing centers, officials said.Firefighters on Sunday gave the all-clear for the town of Los Alamos, and the 10,000 residents that had been ordered to leave began streaming back home. The fire, the largest in New Mexico history, currently measures more than 121,000 acres (49,000 hectares). QUEBEC CITY (Reuters) - Anti-monarchist protesters failed to disrupt the visit of Britain's Prince William and his wife Kate to Quebec, which was the most politically sensitive portion of their Canadian royal tour.A group estimated by local reporters at about 200 people used loudspeakers on Sunday to decry the royal family and call for sovereignty for the French-speaking province, but they were kept far away from the couple in Quebec City. The royal family's Canadian visits in recent years have often avoided stops in Quebec, where many still see as a raw wound Britain's defeat their of France in 1759 giving it sovereignty over to Canada.Hundreds of demonstrators protested the Queen's visit to Quebec City in 1964, and groups favoring Quebec's separation from Canada had vowed to give the newlywed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge a rough ride.Despite those concerns, William and Kate chose to visit both Quebec City and Montreal as part of a nine-day tour of Canada that monarchists hope will restore flagging Canadian interest in the royal family.
Protesters at events in Montreal on Saturday were also outnumbered by well-wishers.
The couple visited a youth shelter in Quebec city before attending a ceremony honoring the Van Doos, an infantry regiment based in the provincial capital that has done extensive duty in Afghanistan.William, in brief remarks in French, acknowledged his weakness in speaking the language used by 83 percent of Quebec residents who would become his subjects if he becomes king as the British monarch is also Canada's head of state.Thank you for your patience with my accent, and I hope that we will have the chance to get to know each other over the years to come, he said. After Quebec, the William and Kate will travel to Prince Edward Island, Northwest Territories and Alberta, where they are expected to receive warm greetings as they did in earlier stops in Ottawa. The couple will visit California after leaving Canada.

Israel, Palestinians hope to avoid fall violence By JOSEF FEDERMAN - Associated Press,MOHAMMED DARAGHMEH - JULY 3,11
JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli and Palestinian security forces are already taking precautions to avoid an outbreak of violence after an expected U.N. vote for Palestinian independence in September, officials on both sides said Sunday, reflecting shared concerns about the possibility of renewed fighting this fall. For now, Israeli and Palestinian officials said they do not want — or expect — armed hostilities to resume. But both sides fear that one small incident could quickly spin out of control. We need only popular and peaceful struggle, said Amin Makboul, a top official in Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah Party. We want to show the world that we are responsible and deserve to be part of the international community. After the bitter lessons of last decade's Palestinian uprising, the Palestinians do not want to give Israel any pretext to claim the Palestinians are not serious about creating a peaceful state, Makboul added.A top Palestinian security official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Abbas recently issued a straightforward order to his commanders: I don't want any violent actions in September, the official quoted Abbas as saying. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was discussing a sensitive internal meeting.Israeli and Palestinian officials both say the region is headed into uncharted waters if the Palestinians follow through on their pledge to turn to the United Nations. Each side is trying to prepare for all scenarios. Mostly it is in closed forums whose deliberations are so tightly guarded as to suggest a fear that the mere mention of a new Palestinian uprising might somehow contribute to tensions. However, some preparations are more public. Some 1,000 Israeli military officers held a two-day drill last week to prepare for September, discussing such issues as crowd-control tactics and the latest intelligence, officials say.The army will use the coming months to fine-tune its preparations in hopes of avoiding bloodshed, they said.
Abbas has said he will seek an international endorsement of Palestinian independence if peace talks with Israel remain stalled, as they have been for nearly three years. The U.S. has stepped up efforts to find a formula for renewing negotiations in recent weeks, but there have been no signs of a breakthrough. The Palestinians say they will not resume talks until Israel freezes all contruction in Jewish settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem — areas captured in 1967 which they claim for a future state.A senior Palestinian official has hinted the Palestinians will ease this demand if Israel accepts President Barack Obama's formula of basing a future Palestinian state on Israel's pre-1967 frontiers, with agreed land swaps. Setting the rough outlines of a future border at the outset, the thinking goes, would largely solve the settlement issue on its own — since Israel would know which of the communities it will ultimately be able to keep.Israel has reacted coolly to Obama's plan, saying that all issues, including settlements and final borders, should be reached in negotiations. The effect of the U.N. vote will likely be limited in the short term. With the U.S. threatening to use its veto power in the Security Council, the powerful U.N. body that must approve membership in the world body, the Palestinians instead plan to turn to the General Assembly.Although the assembly's decisions are nonbinding, the Palestinians are calculating that a resounding victory there would send a strong international message and put heavy pressure on Israel to begin withdrawing from occupied territories.Israeli military officials believe the Palestinians have no desire to stage another uprising; more than 5,000 Palestinians and more than 1,000 Israelis were killed in the previous one.
It is a view shared by many observers of the Palestinian scene, who note that in recent years the fighting has largely subsided, and the West Bank has enjoyed an economic boom.Still, the last Palestinian uprising broke out during another period of relative prosperity, in late 2000 — and it initially enjoyed wide support among a public that felt disappointed by the results of peace efforts. Some Israelis fear that this fall, the U.N. vote could similarly fuel unrealistic expectations among the Palestinian public. Officials fear a single incident with Palestinian fatalities could spark a wider outbreak of violence. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were discussing a sensitive security assessment. While the Israeli military does not believe the Palestinian leadership in the West Bank is looking for a battle, the rise in Facebook-organized groups is adding some uncertainty to the equation. Palestinian activists in Syria, for instance, recently organized demonstrations along the frontier with Israel that resulted in more the deaths of more than 20 protesters.Facebook use is widespread in the Palestinian territories, especially among the younger generation. The Israeli military officials said they will limit the use of lethal force as much as possible and will try to prevent violent confrontations by using intelligence capabilities.Different protest ideas have been floated, including mass marches on Jewish settlements, though some of that has come from analysts and commentators, not from Palestinian activists. The Israeli military officials say such marches would require extensive planning and could be thwarted ahead of time, if deemed a threat.A Palestinian security official said orders would be for marches to be peaceful, and that tactics like stone-throwing would not be tolerated. He also said rallies would be confined to Palestinian population centers and not be permitted to get too close to Israeli settlements. The official concurred that unofficial groups could stir up violence, particularly if they try to enter areas off limits to Palestinians, like the main checkpoint linking the West Bank to Jerusalem. He said such scenarios would be out of our control, since Palestinian security forces are barred from operating there. If Palestinian demonstrators are killed, the situation could deteriorate,he warned.Daraghmeh reported from Ramallah, West Bank.
Jordan navigates warily in turmoil of Arab Spring
By TIM SULLIVAN - Associated Press | JULY 3,11
AMMAN, Jordan (AP) — At the traffic circle in front of the prime minister's office, demonstrators still crowd the streets every week after Friday prayers. Six months since the protests in this desert kingdom started, hundreds of people still join in weekly chants calling for political reform. They still hold up signs demanding an end to government corruption. But after about an hour of angry speeches, with 100 or so unarmed policemen watching from a polite distance, the protesters shake hands and head home. Friday is the weekend in Jordan, and even demonstrators want to get home to their families. The protests of the Arab Spring have shaken much of the Middle East, but a handful of countries have found ways to prevent or calm the anger of the streets. Most prominent is Saudi Arabia, the oil behemoth that has headed off potential opposition by spreading the wealth, spending tens of millions of dollars to boost salaries. Then there is resource-starved Jordan, with its ragged deserts and sputtering economy, where the massive and sometimes-violent protests of early 2011 have quieted to the weekly demonstrations. At the heart of the political standoff is a half-British king trying to avoid the tumult. A darling of Western governments who celebrate him and his Palestinian queen as modern celebrity-monarchs, King Abdullah II has ushered in little democratic reform despite years of promises.
The king sits at the helm of a sprawling intelligence service, a carefully lubricated patronage system and a U.S.-trained military. The economy is largely dependent on aid from Washington and Saudi Arabia. Government opponents say their phones are bugged and houses watched. At times, such as during national and municipal voting in 2007, his regime has blatantly rigged elections, critics say.In Jordan, the king does face increasing criticism, but even the angriest political protesters seldom hold him responsible for their country's troubles. His family dynasty, the Hashemites, rose to power centuries ago as the protectors of the Muslim holy city of Mecca. That, combined with the elaborate system of patronage aimed at powerful local leaders, has earned them immense loyalty among the Bedouin tribes who make up the traditional core of Jordanian society. The king is not a problem for us, said Anis Musharbash, a courtly, gray-haired doctor and communist party member at a recent Friday protest.Who wants a revolution? asked Musharbash, holding out his hands as he was firing a rifle. Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow! Then he shook his head: We just want this country to change, step by step. It's the central irony of modern Jordan: The man with the most political power is still widely seen as being above the political fray. So while the protesters want large-scale reform — more power shifted from the palace to parliament, an end to government corruption, inflation brought under control — few want an end to Hashemite rule. There is a moral contract between the Jordanian people and the Hashemites, said retired general Ali Habashneh, a government critic. We want them to remain as kings, to secure for us a good life and freedom.Analysts see few generalizations in the countries that have avoided the full force of the Arab Spring. Different countries have taken different approaches to seeking peace with protesters, whether it's money in Saudi Arabia or legal reform in the tiny sultanate of Oman.Jordan has a badly troubled economy, but its overall issues are more complex: a divide between the king's Bedouin allies and Palestinian refugee families who want more political power; worries over nearby Israel, which many Jordanians see as a frightening presence; grumbling discontent over Queen Rania, whose beauty and fashion sense make her popular in the West, but who is seen with suspicion in conservative Bedouin circles. Then there is political reform.
In Jordan, the palace insists it wants many of the same reforms as the protesters, including constitutional and legal changes that would curtail some of the king's vast powers. He currently heads all three branches of government, and commands the army and the intelligence service. He names the prime minister, can dissolve parliament at will, and is a major influence on legislation.Listening to his advisers, it's hard to imagine the king, educated at the elite Massachusetts prep school Deerfield, becoming a commoner anytime soon. His Majesty is a liberal: economically and politically, said Faisal Fayez, the speaker of parliament and a close ally of the king. But His Majesty also knows the structure of Jordanian society. He knows reform will take time. His critics, though, wonder if he really wants change. There may be some reforms over the next six months or a year, but we think they will be really limited, said Jamil Abu-Bakr, spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood, Jordan's largest opposition group. Abu-Bakr predicts any changes would only come in response to democratic shifts elsewhere in the Mideast. The Brotherhood wants the king stripped of much of his power, and says Abdullah is coasting on the reputation of his father, King Hussein.Though he survived a string of assassination plots over the years, Hussein died a much-beloved king, an adventurer who loved jets and motorcycles, and who made peace with Israel. He also launched political reforms following bloody 1988 riots, including the first parliamentary elections in 22 years and the revival of multiparty politics. While Hussein became king as a teenager, Abdullah, son of his father's British-born second wife, was a career military officer before suddenly being named crown prince just ahead of Hussein's 1999 death. While that has left many critics grumbling that he's still learning to navigate palace politics, the goodwill Hussein nurtured is also paying off.
There is no political blood in this country, and we are harvesting the benefits of that, said Mohammad Al-Momani, a professor of political science at Yarmouk University. People criticize the government, they criticize the regime. But at the end of the day, there's no sense of needing revenge. It's a sharp contrast to what happened in Bahrain, where protests earlier this year moved from demands for a constitutional monarchy to the overthrow of the king after a bloody crackdown by the regime. While Jordan is not a police state, it can be easily mistaken as one: the often-thuggish secret police; the manipulated elections; the fawning royal stories in the government-controlled media; the thousands of billboards with the king's face gazing upon his subjects. However, the reality is complicated. It's illegal to criticize the king here, but prosecutions are rare and those convicted often get royal pardons. The secret police are feared, but are not the constant, threatening presence as in countries like Syria and Libya. If some politicians say their phones are tapped, even the harshest critics speak fairly openly.Abdullah has been talking about reform since coming to power, when he even floated the idea of a British-style constitutional democracy. But little was undertaken until the protests, which began over rampant inflation, and the specifics of any reforms remain unclear. The king insists his early plans were thwarted by regional turbulence, like the U.S.-led invasion of neighboring Iraq and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, along with entrenched politicians and bureaucrats at home. Royal insiders say the former intelligence chief also convinced the king that reform could lead to the rise of Muslim militant politicians.
Today, though, it may be the economy that could slow reforms or lead to more protests. While Amman is a modern, outwardly wealthy city, Jordan is struggling with a vast foreign debt, rising inflation, rampant unemployment and poverty. What makes (the king) not sleep at night is the economy, said Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh. To push through political reform he's got to have the economy under control. The king also now even faces occasional criticism from his bedrock supporters, the Bedouins. They dominate the army and the police, and hold most government jobs. Over the years, though, their power has been reduced by rising numbers of Palestinians — West Bankers as they are known here — who now run many of the country's top businesses.
A 2005 census said Palestinians officially made up 43 percent of Jordan's 5.9 million people, though unofficial estimates put them at more than 60 percent.
Earlier this year, a public letter signed by 36 Bedouin tribesmen and retired military commanders laid out a string of criticisms, from worries over the economy to issues with Queen Rania, who they say has undue political influence. While few of the signers were prominent, simply making such criticism in public was a watershed.
The tribes, we believe in the Hashemite monarchy, said Habashneh, the retired general and one of the signers. When this trust itself is being touched, then there is serious danger.

3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.(NUCLEAR BOMB)
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
STORMS HURRICANES-TORNADOES
LUKE 21:25-26
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity;(MASS CONFUSION) the sea and the waves roaring;(FIERCE WINDS)
26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
THE FIRST JUDGEMENT OF THE EARTH STARTED WITH WATER-IT ONLY MAKES SENSE THE LAST GENERATION WILL BE HAVING FLOODING
GENESIS 7:6-12
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
GOD PROMISED BY A RAINBOW-THE EARTH WOULD NEVER BE DESTROYED TOTALLY WITH A FLOOD AGAIN.BUT FLOODIING IS A SIGN OF JUDGEMENT.
She has received interpretive training regarding the New Madrid Seismic Zone through EarthScope--a program of the National Science Foundation.
As of Sunday, it was 11% contained and had destroyed dozens of homes, according to the government-run New Mexico Fire Information website.
Royals' Quebec visit appears to be winning gamble By Allan Dowd in Vancouver, Editing by Sandra Maler | Reuters – Sun, Jul 3, 2011

Parshah Balak - Numbers 22:2-25:9
SINCE WHAT ISRAEL READS WILL BE FULFILLED IN THAT WEEK I WILL BE PUTTING THE WEEKLY TORAH PORTION ON FOR ALL OF US TO KEEP TRACK OF ISRAEL HAPPENINGS.
TORAH PORTION FROM JULY 03,2011 6PM - JULY 09,6PM 2011
NUMBERS 22:2 - 25:9
2 And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites.
3 And Moab was sore afraid of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel.
4 And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all that are round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time.
5 He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me:
6 Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.
7 And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came unto Balaam, and spake unto him the words of Balak.
8 And he said unto them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the LORD shall speak unto me: and the princes of Moab abode with Balaam.
9 And God came unto Balaam, and said, What men are these with thee?
10 And Balaam said unto God, Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, hath sent unto me, saying,
11 Behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out.
12 And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed.
13 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and said unto the princes of Balak, Get you into your land: for the LORD refuseth to give me leave to go with you.
14 And the princes of Moab rose up, and they went unto Balak, and said, Balaam refuseth to come with us.
15 And Balak sent yet again princes, more, and more honourable than they.
16 And they came to Balaam, and said to him, Thus saith Balak the son of Zippor, Let nothing, I pray thee, hinder thee from coming unto me:
17 For I will promote thee unto very great honour, and I will do whatsoever thou sayest unto me: come therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people.
18 And Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more.
19 Now therefore, I pray you, tarry ye also here this night, that I may know what the LORD will say unto me more.
20 And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.
21 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab.
22 And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
23 And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.
24 But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.
25 And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he smote her again.
26 And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.
27 And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.
28 And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?
29 And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.
30 And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay.
31 Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
32 And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:
33 And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive.
34 And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again.
35 And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.
36 And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him unto a city of Moab, which is in the border of Arnon, which is in the utmost coast.
37 And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee? wherefore camest thou not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote thee to honour?
38 And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak.
39 And Balaam went with Balak, and they came unto Kirjathhuzoth.
40 And Balak offered oxen and sheep, and sent to Balaam, and to the princes that were with him.
41 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him up into the high places of Baal, that thence he might see the utmost part of the people.
NUMBERS 23:1-30
1 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.
2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.
3 And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.
4 And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.
5 And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
6 And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.
7 And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.
8 How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?
9 For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
10 Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!
11 And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.
12 And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?
13 And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
14 And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.
15 And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the LORD yonder.
16 And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.
17 And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?
18 And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:
19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
21 He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.
22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
24 Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
25 And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.
26 But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?
27 And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.
28 And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon.
29 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.
30 And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.
NUMBERS 24:1-25
1 And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
2 And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.
3 And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
4 He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
5 How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!
6 As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.
7 He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.
8 God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.
10 And Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.
11 Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour.
12 And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,
13 If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?
14 And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.
15 And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
16 He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
18 And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.
19 Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
20 And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.
21 And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.
22 Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.
23 And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!
24 And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.
25 And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.
NUMBERS 25:1-9
1 And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
2 And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
3 And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.
4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
5 And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.
6 And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
8 And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
9 And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
