8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn,(WORLD DICTATOR) before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings(10 NATIONS-10 WORLD DIVISION WORLD GOVERNMENT) that shall arise: and another shall rise after them;(#11 SPAIN) and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.(EITHER THE EUROPEAN UNION DICTATOR BOOTS 3 ORIGINAL COUNTRIES FROM THE 6 FOUNDING MEMBERS OR THE DICTATOR TAKES OVER THE WORLD ECONOMY BY CONTROLLING 3 WORLD TRADE BLOCS)
ANTICHRIST (NAMES OF) IN THE BIBLE. SO TRIBULATIONERS WILL KNOW WHO HE IS.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
1 JOHN 2:22
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
DANIEL 9:26 (COMES FROM ROME) (EU)
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn,(WORLD DICTATOR) which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.(ISRAEL)
23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.(THE EU DICTATOR HAS TO BE A KING)
36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
2 THESSALONIANS 2:3-4,8
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (THE 7 YEAR TRIBULATION PERIOD) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin (THE LAWLESS EU DICTATOR) be revealed, the son of perdition;(THE SON OF SATAN INCARNATE)
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God,(3RD TEMPLE REBUILT NOT OUR BODIES) shewing himself that he is God.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed,(EU WORLD DICTATOR) whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
IF DAN 7:8,24 HAD A DUAL MEANING - MEANING THE FIRST EU 13 MEMBERS. THEN HOW THE EU THEN PUTS THE WHOLE WORLD INTO 10 TRADE BLOCS-AND THEY TAKE WORLD ECONOMIC, RELIGIOUS AND GOVERNMENTAL CONTROL. IF THIS VERSE WOULD MEAN 13 EU NATIONS. THEN AFTER THE EU WOULD HIT 10 NATIONS. THEN #11 SPAIN IN THE EU WOULD BE ELECTED LEADER. AND WOULD BOOT OUT 3 COUNTRIES FROM THE ORIGINAL 6 FOUNDING MEMBERS. WHICH MEANS THERE WOULD HAVE TO BE 13 COUNTRIES IN THE EU. WHEN SPAIN WOULD BOOT 3 COUNTRIES FROM THE EU. AND THE SPANISH LEADER WOULD BECOME THE WORLD DICTATOR. WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY THE WORLD DICTATOR WILL BE-A KING OF LOOKING FiERCE. SO THE WORLD DICTATOR HAS TO BE A KING. AND SPAIN USES A KING SYSTEM (MONARCHY). AND ALSO THE KING OF SPAIN HAS THE TITLE KING OF JERUSALEM ALSO. AND THIS FUTURE EU DICTATOR SIGNS A 7 YR PEACE TREATY WITH ISRAEL-ARABS AND MANY (PROBABLY THE ARAB LEAGUE IS THE MANY). SO AT SOME TIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE. A SPANISH LEADER COULD BECOME THE PRESIDENT OF THE EUROPEAN UNION. HE WOULD KICK OUT 3 OF THE ORIGINAL FOUNDING 6 MEMBERS FROM THE 1958 COUNTRIES. AND HE WOULD BECOME THE LEADER OF THE 10 NOW LEADING COUNTRIES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION. AND IF THERE WAS MORE THEN 13 COUNTRIES IN THE EU. ANY COUNTRIES AFTER THE 10 LEADING WOULD BE CLASSIFIED AS ASSOCIATE MEMBER STATES. THEY WOULD HAVE ALL THE ADVANTAGES OF THE EU. BUT WOULD NOT HAVE A SAY IN THE LAWS OR RULES OF THE EU. ONLY THE MAIN CORE OF 10 NATIONS MAKE ALL THE FINAL DECISIONS FOR THE WHOLE TRADE BLOC OF EUROPE. ITS NO ACCIDENT THAT I AM TALKING ABOUT SPAIN AS THE EU LEADER. WHEN JUST TODAY IN SPAIN-JUNE 26,16-THEY ARE HAVING THEIR ELECTIONS. DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THIS IS AN ACCIDENT. JUST AFTER THE UK VOTED THURSDAY NIGHT JUNE 23,16 TO LEAVE THE EU. THEN JUST 3 DAYS LATER SPAIN HAS ITS ELECTION TO DECIDE THEIR NEW LEADER. BUT SPEAKING OF DANIEL 7:8 SAYING THAT 3 OF THE ORIGINAL GET THE BOOT. HERE IS ANOTHER INTERESTING FACT GOING ON RIGHT NOW. ITALY AND FRANCE 2 OF THE ORIGINAL 6 FOUNDING MEMBERS ARE TALKING ABOUT HAVING A REFERENDUM-TO SEE IF THEY CAN LEAVE THE EU ALSO. AND NOT ONLY THAT BUT THE EU HAS NOW PUT A BELGIAN LEADER IN TO NEGOTIATE THE TERMS OF THE EU TREATIES CONTRACTS WITH THE UNITED KINGDOM. TO GET BRITAIN OUT OF THE EU. BELGIUM IS ALSO ONE OF THE ORIGINAL 6 FOUNDING MEMBERS. AND BELGIUM ALSO HAS A MONARCHY SYSTEM. SO MAYBE A SPANISH LEADER WILL BE NAMED PRESIDENT OF THE EU AND THE BELGIAN LEADER WILL MAKE SURE THE SPANISH LEADER DOES GET ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE EU. IN ORDER FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. THE 3 MOST POWERFUL OF THE 6 FOUNDING MEMBERS WOULD HAVE TO BE BOOTED OUT. THIS WOULD MEAN THAT GERMANY-FRANCE AND ITALY WOULD BE THE 3 FOUNDING MEMBERS TO GET THE BOOT. AND SPAIN-BELGIUM-NETHERLANDS AND LUXUMBOURG WHICH ARE ALL KING SYSTEMS OR MONARCHIES.WOULD HAVE FULL CONTROL OF THE EU. AND THESE 4 PLUS THE OTHER 6 MAIN 10 EU CORE COUNTRIES. WOULD PUT THE SPANISH LEADER IN AS THE EU PRESIDENT. AND HE WOULD BECOME THE WORLD LEADER AFTER HE UPROOTS 3 WORLD TRADE BLOCS OF THE 10 WORLD TRADE BLOCS WHICH THE WORLD IS PUT INTO. AND THE EUROPEAN UNION LEADER WOULD BECOME THE WHOLE WORLDS DICTATOR AT THE MIDPOINT OR 3 1/2 YEAR MARK OF THE 7 YEAR ISRAELI-ARAB PEACE TREATY OR TRIBULATION PERIOD.PROPHECY IS HEATING UP BIG TIME. THE PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH COULD OCCUR ANY SECOND. THEN THE WORLD EU LEADER WOULD BE REVEALED TO THE WHOLE WORLD TO BE THE WORLD DICTATOR FOR THE LAST HALF OF THE 7 YEAR TRIBULATION PERIOD.
1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2 And I saw, and behold a white horse:(EU WORLD DICTATOR) and he that sat on him had a bow;(PEACE) and a crown was given unto him:(WORLD LEADER) and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.(THIS IS THE EU DICTATOR)
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.(7 HEADS ARE THE 7TH WORLD EMPIRE IN HISTORY (THE EU) AS WELL AS THE VATICAN WHICH IS BUILT ON 7 HILLS. 10 HORNS ARE 10 KINGS THAT ARISE FROM THE EU, THEN #11 COMES ON THE SCENE BECOMES THE HEAD OF 3 OUNTRIES AND THEN THE EU DICTATOR, COMES FROM 1 OF THE 3 COUNTRIES THAT RULE FOR THIS TERM. I BELIEVE THE 3 COUNTRIES RULING AT THE TIME ARE SPAIN AND 2 OF THE ORIGINAL 6 THAT STARTED THE EU. FROM 1 OF THESE 3 COUNTRIES COME THE FUTURE EU DICTATOR PRESIDENT OF THE EUROPEAN UNION WHO GUARENTEES ISRAELS SECURITY FOR A LAND FOR PEACE 7 YEAR TREATY.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.(THE JEWISH EU DICTATOR GETS HIS POWER FROM SATAN,HE COMES FROM THE OCCULT).
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.(THE DICTATOR HAS A FALSE RESURRECTION. JUST LIKE JESUS HAD A LITERAL RESURRECTION THIS DICTATOR GETS MURDERED AT THE 3 1/2 YR MARK OF THR 7 YEAR TREATY AND COMES BACK TO LIFE. THIS IS HOW HE CAN CLAIM TO BE GOD AND GET AWAY WITH IT AND CONTROL THE WHOLE EARTH.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
16 And he (FALSE POPE) causeth all,(WORLD SOCIALISM) both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
36 And the king shall do according to his will;(EU PRESIDENT) and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers,(THIS EU DICTATOR IS A EUROPEAN JEW) nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces:(HES A MILITARY GINIUS) and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he (THE EU DICTATOR) do in the most strong holds (CONTROL HEZBOLLAH,AL-QUAIDA MURDERERS ETC) with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many,(HIS ARMY LEADERS) and shall divide the land for gain.
40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south(EGYPT) push at him:(EU DICTATOR PROTECTING ISRAELS SECURITY) and the king of the north(RUSSIA) shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
We shall have World Government, whether or not we like it. The only question is whether World Government will be achieved by conquest or consent.James Paul Warburg appearing before the Senate on 7th February 1950
Like a famous WWII Belgian General,Paul Henry Spock said in 1957:We need no commission, we have already too many. What we need is a man who is great enough to be able to keep all the people in subjection to himself and to lift us out of the economic bog into which we threaten to sink. Send us such a man. Be he a god or a devil, we will accept him.And today, sadly, the world is indeed ready for such a man.
No one will enter the New World Order... unless he or she will make a pledge to worship Lucifer. No one will enter the New Age unless he will take a Luciferian Initiation.- David Spangler Director of Planetary Initiative United Nations.
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast (EU,REVIVED ROME) shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth,(7TH WORLD EMPIRE) which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.(TRADING BLOCKS-10 WORLD REGIONS/TRADE BLOCS)
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings(10 NATIONS-10 WORLD DIVISION WORLD GOVERNMENT) that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.(EITHER THE EUROPEAN UNION DICTATOR BOOTS 3 COUNTRIES FROM THE EU OR THE DICTATOR TAKES OVER THE WORLD ECONOMY BY CONTROLLING 3 WORLD TRADE BLOCS)
25 And there shall be signs in the sun,(HEATING UP-SOLAR ECLIPSES) and in the moon,(MAN ON MOON-LUNAR ECLIPSES) and in the stars;(ASTEROIDS ETC) and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity;(MASS CONFUSION) the sea and the waves roaring;(FIERCE WINDS)
26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear,(TORNADOES,HURRICANES,STORMS) and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:(DESTRUCTION) for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.(FROM QUAKES,NUKES ETC)
Belgian to coordinate Brexit negotiations-June 26, 20165:11am-news.com.au
European Council President Donald Tusk has appointed a Belgian diplomat to coordinate negotiations with Britain on its exit from the European Union, a spokesman says.Didier Seeuws was chief-of-staff to Herman Van Rompuy, Tusk's Belgian predecessor as chairman of EU summits, until 2014.He was a spokesman for Guy Verhofstadt when the liberal leader in the European Parliament, a strong advocate of deeper EU integration, was Belgian prime minister in 1999-2008.As head of the Special Task Force on the UK, Seeuws moves from running transport, telecoms and energy matters for the EU Council, the body grouping the 28 member states, to coordinate unprecedented divorce talks after Britain's Brexit referendum.Detailed legal negotiations with London are expected to be handled by the EU executive, the European Commission headed by President Jean-Claude Juncker. But Tusk, as the chair of the body that groups national leaders, will have to broker the political accords required to drive the process to a final deal.Originally published as Belgian to coordinate Brexit negotiations.
The Latest: UK lawmaker wants Parliament to overturn EU vote-[The Canadian Press]-The Associated Press-June 25, 2016-YAHOONEWS
LONDON - The Latest on Britain's historic vote to leave the European Union (all times local):7:25 p.m.A British opposition lawmaker says Parliament should stop the "madness" and overturn the result of a referendum calling for Britain to leave the European Union.Labour legislator David Lammy says Thursday's national vote was non-binding and "our sovereign Parliament needs to now vote on whether we should quit the EU."He says some "leave" supporters now regret their votes and Parliament should vote on Britain's EU membership. He said "we can stop this madness and bring this nightmare to an end. ... Let us not destroy our economy on the basis of lies and the hubris of ('leave' leader) Boris Johnson."constitutional experts say Parliament cannot easily ignore the will of the people. Alan Renwick, deputy director of University College London's Constitution Unit, says "in legal theory that is possible. In practice, that is absolutely not possible."___6:15 p.m.Britain's vote to leave the European Union has reverberated through London's boisterous LGBT pride festival. The flags of European nations flew at the annual Pride in London parade, which ended with a rally in Trafalgar Square.London Mayor Sadiq Khan told the crowd of thousands that Europeans in London are "our friends, our families and our neighbours."Khan says "I recognize the huge contribution you make to our city, you are welcome here. I make you this promise as your mayor. That won't change."Voters in London overwhelmingly supported staying in the EU, but a majority outside the capital voted to leave.Belgian Georges Peters, who was flying his country's flag at the parade, said he was "very disappointed about the vote. I think this is bad for the economy and it's important that we stand together."Antaine O'Briain from Ireland said he was "shocked and horrified" at the result of the Thursday's vote.___5:55 p.m.France's economy minister is calling for a new, more transparent plan for the European Union that would be submitted to a popular vote.Emmanuel Macron is accusing Britain's Conservative Party of taking the rest of the EU hostage with a referendum staged for domestic reasons that now is threatening to torpedo European unity. His unusually outspoken comments came at a debate Saturday at the Institute for Political Science in Paris on how European can cope with Britain's vote to leave the 28-nation EU.Macron says "If we made a mistake ... it's to have let a member state take hostage the European project in a unilateral manner ... and therefore to have choreographed these last few months the possibility of the crumbling of Europe."___4:10 p.m.Britain's vote to leave the European Union has spurred a surge in interest in obtaining Irish citizenship from people in Northern Ireland. The Post Office in Northern Ireland says it has "seen an unusually high number of people in Northern Ireland seeking Irish passport applications."Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, but most people born there can also claim citizenship in the neighbouring Republic of Ireland — an EU member. While Britain as a whole voted to leave the EU in Thursday's referendum, a majority of voters in Northern Ireland opted to remain.Irish citizenship has generally been taken up by members of Northern Ireland's Irish nationalist Roman Catholic community, rather than by Protestants who identify as British. But in a sign of how the referendum has turned politics on its head, one of Northern Ireland's leading Protestant politicians, Ian Paisley Jr., tweeted: "My advice is if you are entitled to second passport then take one."___3:50 p.m.The European commissioner from Latvia, who is now responsible for overseeing the EU's financial services sector, says his "priority is to maintain financial stability in markets."The EU's euro commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis says he hopes "to live up to tasks entrusted to me."Dombrovskis wrote on Twitter that "I highly value the work" of Jonathan Hill, the British representative on the EU Executive Commission who stepped down Saturday, saying he was disappointed by the British referendum result.European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker immediately transferred Hill's responsibilities to Dombrovskis, costing Britain a key voice in a sector that is hugely important to London, whose status as Europe's financial capital is threatened by Britain's EU exit.___3:45 p.m.Italy's finance minister is urging the European Union to do more than "concern itself only about banks. In an interview with Milan newspaper Corriere della Sera Saturday, Pier Carlo Padoan says it's time to think the "unthinkable."He says "deep dissatisfaction" over immigration, security and slow economic growth could combine for a further push toward disintegration of the EU bloc. Italy has been pushing for more EU action to encourage economic growth.Padoan says it's possible Britain's EU exit could cause smaller growth in Italy.
Germany's Merkel signals sober separation from EU "partner" Britain-[By John Irish and Andreas Rinke]-June 25, 2016-YAHOONEWS
BERLIN/HERMANNSWERDER, Germany (Reuters) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel called on Saturday for clear-headed negotiations with "close partner" Britain over its departure from the European Union.Foreign ministers of the EU's six founding members had earlier said Britain should leave the bloc as soon as possible after Britons voted on Thursday to quit the 28-member bloc. However, Merkel struck a more conciliatory tone."The negotiations must take place in a businesslike, good climate," Merkel said after a meeting of her conservative party in Hermannswerder, outside Potsdam, to the west of Berlin."Britain will remain a close partner, with which we are linked economically," she said, adding that there was no hurry for Britain to invoke Article 50 of the EU treaty -- the first step it must take to set in motion the exit process."It should not take ages, that is true, but I would not fight now for a short time frame," Merkel said, in contrast with the more urgent call by the foreign ministers of Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, who were meeting to the north of the German capital. They pressed for Britain to trigger the process for exiting the bloc after Britons voted by 52-48 percent to exit the EU, which it joined more than 40 years ago."We now expect the UK government to provide clarity and give effect to this decision as soon as possible," they said in a joint statement.EU officials said there was no real problem if it took a few months to begin the process for Britain to leave, though waiting until the end of the year could get in the way of the next round of EU budget talks and European election campaigning. The officials said they were worried that British Prime Minister David Cameron, who resigned on Friday, could hand over to someone with a strategy to drag out the country's departure.Matthew Elliott, chief executive of the Vote Leave campaign, said Britain should begin informal negotiations on a full settlement governing its post-Brexit relationship with the EU before invoking Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty.-FRENCH PRESSURE-France also pressed for a swift start to the exit process, with Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault saying negotiations must move quickly and that the remaining EU member states also needed to give fresh impetus to the European project."We have to give a new sense to Europe, otherwise populism will fill the gap," he said, adding that the EU could not wait for Cameron to depart in October before the exit process begins.Ayrault said other EU leaders would put "a lot of pressure" on Cameron at a summit meeting next Tuesday to act quickly.French President Francois Hollande said the separation "will be painful for Britain but ... like in all divorces, it will be painful for those who stay behind too".France and Germany have drafted a 10-page paper mapping out three areas of immediate concern for the remaining EU members: security, migration and refugees, and jobs and growth which diplomatic sources say they want to use as a basis to shore up the EU, while building a more flexible union.Global stock markets plunged on Friday, and sterling saw its biggest one day drop in more than 30 years after Britain's vote to leave the EU, while ratings agency Moody's downgraded the country's credit outlook. The six foreign ministers said the EU was losing "not just a member state but history, tradition and experience".Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn told Reuters: "I believe you can destroy the European Union with referenda. We have to communicate better what the EU has done, and we have to work harder on issues such as migration where we have failed."Both Ayrault and Asselborn warned Britain not to play games by drawing out the exit process."It's in Britain's interest and in the interest of Europeans not to have a period of uncertainty that would have financial consequences, and that could have economic and political consequences," he told a news conference after the meeting.(Additional reporting by Andrea Shalal in Berlin, Ingrid Melander and Jean-Baptiste Vey in Paris, Gilbert Reilhac in Colmar and Robert-Jan Bartunek and Alastair Macdonald in Brussels; Writing by Paul Carrel; Editing by Jane Merriman and Alexander Smith)

France's Macron wants EU-wide referendum, far-left slams Hollande "nervousness"-[Reuters]-By Leigh Thomas and Ingrid Melander-Reuters-June 25, 2016YAHOONEWS
PARIS (Reuters) - France's economy minister said on Saturday that the European Union needs a new road map that should be devised in consultation with voters and then put to a referendum, as Paris sought for ways to handle the fallout at home from the Brexit vote. The British people's vote to leave the EU has deepened fears among mainstream politicians across Europe about the rise of anti-establishment parties, particularly in France, where the far-right, eurosceptic National Front is increasingly popular."We've never had the courage to organise a true European referendum in its real sense. This next project must give it that strength," Emmanuel Macron told a conference."We would first build this new project with European peoples and then submit this new road map, this new project, to a referendum," he said, adding that the idea was to have one single referendum across the bloc.Macron's talk of an EU-wide referendum goes beyond comments made by President Francois Hollande and Prime Minister Manuel Valls, who both said the EU needed to reinvent itself after the Brexit vote but made no reference to a popular vote. His comments could stir tensions within the ruling Socialist Party, which in 2005 had been deeply split over a proposed new EU constitution, eventually blocked by referendums in France and the Netherlands.Macron's comments did, however, chime with those of Alain Juppe, a centre-right former prime minister leading opinion polls for the 2017 presidential election. Juppe also wants a referendum, not on membership but on a new EU project that France, Germany and other core countries would work on.Hollande met political party leaders from the far-left to the far-right, one after the other, on Saturday to discuss the Brexit vote. All called for change, but with very different ideas in mind.National Front leader Marine Le Pen said after their meeting that Hollande "will take no notice of all the signals that have been sent for years by people in Europe and France, not even after the British people's decision to leave the EU".Le Pen, who opinion polls suggest will top the first round of next year's presidential election but lose the run-off, says France should ditch the euro, leave the Schengen border-free area and organise its own referendum on EU membership. After his own meeting with Hollande, left-wing firebrand Jean-Luc Melenchon said: "What's on the agenda now is nervousness and patch-up jobs."Hollande, who is likely to run for a second mandate next year, registered his lowest approval rating in a survey by the BVA group, scoring just 18 percent in a poll issued on Saturday.France is one of the countries pressing Britain to kickstart the process of leaving the bloc quickly so the rest of the bloc can concentrate shaping the future of Europe.(Additional reporting by Elizabeth Pineau; Writing by Richard Lough and Ingrid Melander; Editing by Kevin Liffey)
ECB's Villeroy: Brexit talks must be quick, City of London at risk of losing 'EU passport'-[Reuters]-June 25, 2016-YAHOONEWS
PARIS (Reuters) - London's financial center will lose its prized "EU passport" if Britain fails to secure continued access to the bloc's single market in its exit talks, ECB Governing Council member Francois Villeroy de Galhau said on Saturday.Banks based in London, Europe's biggest financial center, rely on what is called an EU passport to operate across the bloc's capital market unhindered while basing most of their staff and operations outside the euro zone in London."If tomorrow Britain is not part of the single market, the City cannot keep this European passport, and clearing houses cannot be located in London either," Villeroy, who is also governor of the French central bank, told France Inter radio.Paris has been a rival city to London as a financial center.Brexit talks will have to be quick to limit uncertainty, said Villeroy, who is also Bank of France governor."There is a precedent, it is the Norwegian model of European Economic Area, that would allow Britain to keep access to the single market but by committing to implement all EU rules," he said."It would be a bit paradoxical to leave the EU and apply all EU rules but that is one solution if Britain wants to keep access to the single market."If that did not work out, that could be an opportunity for euro zone financial centers including Paris, Villeroy said. Some banks have said they would shift operations to the euro zone if Britain left the EU."It's up to us to do the right reforms to be even more attractive," he said, adding that could include tax reforms, and more incentives for expats.(Reporting by Ingrid Melander; Editing by Jermey Gaunt)
U.K. wants free trade deal with Canada, high commissioner says-[CBC]-June 25, 2016-yahoonews
Britain's high commissioner is open to signing a free trade deal with Canada now that the United Kingdom has opted out of the European Union.Howard Drake said Britain will go it alone on trade agreements after the Brexit vote, adding the U.K. will not cease to be a trading nation after it pulls out of the EU."We're an island. We'll be strongly pro-free trade outside the European Union," he said in an interview with Chris Hall on CBC Radio's The House. "We'll be looking to make trade deals with other countries around the world, including Canada. Other countries that are currently outside the EU do have very good trading relationships and trade agreements with other countries, so we can be the same. We have a lot to bring to the party," he said, noting Britain is the fifth largest economy in the world.Former Conservative cabinet minister Pierre Poilievre said Friday the Liberal government should "immediately conclude" a trade deal with Britain, but that would be a difficult task given the country remains a member of the EU for the foreseeable future — at least two years — as it hammers out an exit strategy.Drake also signalled that the Commonwealth of Nations — the organization of 53 mostly former British colonies and territories — could play a more robust role in Britain's foreign policy in a post-Brexit world."We have always believed that the Commonwealth has a significant role," he said. "Canada, the relationship, as we all know, is extraordinarily close. We have a unique relationship between us, given our history."Boris Johnson, the former mayor of London and a vocal proponent of the Leave campaign, has floated the idea of bolstering the Commonwealth, and easing the movement of peoples between the former colonies — an idea that has broad support among Canadians.-'It's not a disaster'-Despite the shock vote, Canada and the EU are still in the final stages of concluding the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which was hammered out by the former Harper government and vocally supported by Liberal International Trade Minister ChrystiaFreeland.- The Sunday Edition: Is the Brexit vote nostalgia for the bygone glories of the British Empire? Britain was a big backer of the deal, but it now risks being left out of the final agreement if it opts out of the EU before its impending enactment. It's not the only deal that could be dead in the water after the Brexit vote. There are nearly 40 trade deals between the EU and other jurisdictions the world over."Great Britain now has to negotiate its own agreement with Canada.… That's a complicated process," Werner Wnendt, the German ambassador to Canada, said in a separate interview with Hall."What we can tell everybody in Canada … is this is not a good day for Europe, the European Union, for the world, because it's a moment of uncertainty in a world that is already a dangerous one, a difficult one, we know there are many crises," he added.Wnendt said Britain's departure will not leave Canada without a friend around the table in Brussels, adding Germany sees little or no change to the bilateral relationship."It's not a disaster. It's doable. The immediate impact on our relationship, Germany's relationship, or the Canada-EU relationship, will not be that visible. We will go ahead with strengthening our relationship."Jean Charest, the former premier of Quebec, and an early supporter of CETA, said it now falls to the French to pick up the pieces."One irony about [CETA] is that the British were never, at the outset, very involved in the deal," he said."Actually it was the French government of [former president] Jacques Chirac who was the first government to support the negotiations. Trudeau booed for speaking English in Quebec City speech-[CBC]-June 24, 2016-yahoonews
Premier Philippe Couillard is calling out the Quebec City residents who booed the prime minister as he spoke in English during a Fête Nationale event. Justin Trudeau was in the provincial capital for the opening of a new wing of the city's fine arts museum, timed to coincide with the provincial holiday associated with the celebration of francophone culture in Quebec.During a speech at the unveiling, Trudeau addressed the results of Thursday's referendum in the United Kingdom, which saw voters support leaving the European Union. As Trudeau switched from French to English, a round of boos and whistles erupts in the crowd. Trudeau continued speaking in English for several seconds before switching back to French. Couillard, who also attended the opening, was asked about the booing at a news conference later. "It's unfortunate," the premier told reporters. "We could have listened to his message in a more positive way." "It's the Fête Nationale of all Quebecers, we expect that the speeches are given in French. He wanted, I think, to address all Canadians about the Brexit issue. But I think we have to remind everyone that we have to be open and tolerant."
