MURDER
GENESIS 4:8-11 (THE FIRST MURDER)
8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
GENESIS 6:11-13 (EARTH DESTROYED BECAUSE OF TERRORISM,MURDERS)
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
EXODUS 20:13
13 Thou shalt not kill.(Murder)(THAT INCLUDES ABORTION)
EXODUS 21:12
12 He that smiteth (MURDER)a man,(OR BABY) so that he die, shall be surely put to death.(THATS THE DEATH PENALTY PEOPLE)
REVELATION 9:20-21
20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils,(OCCULT) and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries,(DRUG ADDICTIONS) nor of their fornication,(SEX OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE) nor of their thefts.(STEALING)
FAMINE
REVELATION 6:5-6
5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.(A DAYS WAGES FOR A LOAF OF BREAD)
LOCUSTS (DEMONIC) TORTURES SINNERS 5 MONTHS
REVELATION 9:1-6
1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3 And there came out of the smoke (DEMONIC) locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
FAMINE
MATTHEW 24:7-8
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
MARK 13:8
8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
LUKE 21:11
11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
That is bad news for farmers and consumers, with corn, soybeans and wheat in the United States -- the largest world exporter of those key crops -- baking in fields, losing yield potential daily or being plowed under for insurance claims.Corn for September delivery at the Chicago Board of Trade set a record high of $8.16-3/4 a bushel, while soybeans for August delivery also set a record high of $17.49. Wheat for September rose 4 percent at $9.35 and set a four-year high. The knock-on effect of such soaring prices was already being felt around the world, where drought has also hit other grain exporters who are starting to cancel previous sales and leave hungry countries in the Middle East and elsewhere scrambling."A lot of buyers waited in the hope that rain in the U.S. and east Europe would cool prices," one grain exporter said. "But this is not happening and the U.S. drought is not over."The two big questions in the U.S. Corn Belt -- how low the harvest and how high the prices -- were still unanswered. But conditions were worsening as corn was failing to pollinate and soybeans, planted later, face their key growth stage in stress.Iowa and Illinois, which together produce about a third of all U.S. corn and soybeans, continue to bake."The soil moisture in Iowa is pretty much gone so there's not much to keep crops going. Even if temperatures went down 5 degrees and rainfall increased 50 percent for the rest of this month, it might slow the rate of decline but it's not going to reverse the decline in crop conditions and the ultimate yield," said Harry Hillaker, Iowa state climatologist. "There's not much left of the Corn Belt that's in good shape."In Williamsport, Ohio, Scott Metzger, 37, said it rained for about 45 minutes on his farm on Thursday and according to his rain gauge he got 1-3/10 inch of rain. But since May 13, he said, the farm has only had 2.1 inches of rain."This has been my toughest year of farming so far," he said, saying his corn crop was "finished" because it never pollinated.
WARMEST HALF-YEAR IN HISTORY
"We don't have a reason for saying it's going to improve," Smith said, acknowledging that warmer conditions in the coming months might well exceed current levels, with potentially tough impact on agriculture.

DENVER, Colorado (Reuters) - A masked gunman killed 12 people at a midnight showing of the new Batman movie
in a suburb of Denver early on Friday, sparking pandemonium when he
hurled a gas canister into the auditorium and opened fire on moviegoers.About fifty others including children were wounded in
the attack on the showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" in a mall in the
Aurora suburb, some of whom were treated for the effects of tear gas,
hospital officials said."This is a horrific event," Aurora
Police Chief Dan Oates told a news conference, adding that a suspect
was taken into custody in the parking lot behind the theater. He had
initially put the death toll at 14, but a spokesman later told NBC the toll had been revised to 12.Police said the Aurora gunman had appeared at the front
of the theater during the movie and released a canister which let out a
hissing sound before gunfire erupted.Dozens of police were at the scene, and the authorities
evacuated the area while they checked for any explosive devices. They
said there was no evidence of a second gunman.Wendy Post, who was waiting to be reunited with her
daughter at a local high school following the shooting, said her
daughter told her the shooting erupted just minutes after the film
began."She saw the exit door open and something was thrown
across the screen, and then shooting started," she told local NBC
affiliate 9News television. "It was chaos."President Barack Obama,
who was notified of the shooting on Friday morning by his homeland
security adviser, John Brennan, urged Americans to "stand together" with
the people of Aurora in the hours and days to come."Michelle and I are shocked and saddened by the horrific and tragic shooting in Colorado.
Federal and local law enforcement are still responding, and my
administration will do everything that we can to support the people of
Aurora in this extraordinarily difficult time," Obama said in a
statement."As we do when confronted by moments of darkness and
challenge, we must now come together as one American family," he added.Colorado has suffered mass killings in the past. In
1999, two students opened fire at Columbine High School in the suburb of
Littleton, near Denver, killing 12 students and a teacher.
PEOPLE SCREAMING
Police said the suspect's apartment building had been evacuated and police were looking for explosives there after the suspect made statements about explosives in his residence.CNN quoted one witness as saying he saw a "guy slowly making his way up the stairs and firing, picking random people." Another witness said the gunman opened fire during a shoot-out scene in the movie, leading to confusion.Chandler Brannon, 25, who had been watching the movie with his girlfriend, said that about 20 minutes into the movie he saw a smoke bomb go off and heard what sounded like fireworks. He later realized they were a rapid volley of gunshots.
"I told my girlfriend to just play dead," he told Reuters, adding that he never got a full view of the gunman. "All I could see was a silhouette."Another witness told CNN he heard 10-20 shots and what he described as little explosions. "Shortly after that we heard people screaming. Then they came on PA system and said everyone needed to get out," the witness said."As soon as we got out, there were people running around and screaming." He said friends had told him the gunman was wearing a gas mask. One man told an NBC affiliate that he was in the adjacent theater watching another screening of the Batman movie when he heard gunshots and the theater filled with thick, choking smoke. He saw bullets holes in the wall, and some people in his theater were wounded. "I heard moaning ... they were in pain."Fania said police received the first call about the shooting at 12:39 a.m. local time (06:39 GMT) and responded within "a minute or two."Local hospitals were alerted to a "mass casualty incident." Fania told NBC News that 10 of the victims died in the theater and two died in the hospital.(Reporting by Keith Coffman, writing by Patrick Graham, Pravin Char and Cynthia Johnston; Editing by Jon Boyle and Vicki Allen)

CHICAGO/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Grain prices pushed to record highs on Thursday as scattered rains in U.S. Midwest
did little to douse fears that the worst drought in half a century will
not end soon or relieve worries around the world about higher food
prices.Government
forecasters did not rule out that the drought in the U.S. heartland
could last past October, continuing what has been the hottest half-year
on record."There's a greater chance that there is no relief possible or in sight" for the U.S. Midwest, Dan Collins of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Climate Prediction Center said on Thursday.
More than half the United States was experiencing
moderate drought or worse this week, according to the latest U.S.
Drought Monitor report issued on Thursday.More than 70 percent of the Midwest Corn Belt was in
some stage of drought in the week ended July 17, up from 63 percent a
week earlier. It adds up to the worst drought conditions in the United
States since at least 1956, climate experts said."We don't have a reason for saying it's going to improve," Kelly Helm Smith of the National Drought Mitigation Center told a briefing on Thursday, adding that warmer conditions in the coming months might well exceed current levels.
CROPS PLOWED UNDERThat is bad news for farmers and consumers, with corn, soybeans and wheat in the United States -- the largest world exporter of those key crops -- baking in fields, losing yield potential daily or being plowed under for insurance claims.Corn for September delivery at the Chicago Board of Trade set a record high of $8.16-3/4 a bushel, while soybeans for August delivery also set a record high of $17.49.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
said that the January-June period was the hottest half-year on record in
the United States, with 29 states seriously affected.Around the world, last month was the fourth-warmest
June, NOAA experts said. Temperatures on land were the warmest ever
recorded, while ocean temperatures were the 10th warmest. The Northern
Hemisphere had its second-warmest June on record.A La Nina pattern of cool water in the equatorial
Pacific, which normally brings colder, wetter conditions to parts of the
continental United States, ended earlier this year, and there is a good
chance that an El Nino pattern could develop before year's end and
prolong drought in the central United States, Collins of NOAA's Climate
Prediction Center said on Thursday.U.S. grain farmers,
buoyed in recent years by soaring prices for grain and farmland, are in
better shape to weather the storm than in 1988, the year of the last
major drought.But worst hit are
likely to be dairy, pork, poultry and beef farmers, who are seeing their
feed costs go through the roof and already taking action to reduce
their herd sizes. Consumers may not see immediate food inflation, but it
is coming.(Additional

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Hotter-than-normal temperatures
are expected through October over most of the contiguous 48 U.S.
states, with below-average precipitation for Midwest areas already hit
by the worst drought in a half century, government forecasters said on
Thursday.Experts at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
did not rule out drought that could continue past October, and they
noted that there was a chance of an El Nino pattern that could mean more
excessive heat and dry conditions by the end of 2012.After the hottest
half-year on record in the United States, hotter, drier conditions from
the Southwest, through the Midwest and across the East Coast from
Florida to Maine are forecast to continue through October, the National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said at a briefing.Drought hit 29 U.S. states, with Texas feeling the
heaviest impact, followed by Colorado, Missouri, Florida, New Mexico,
Arkansas, Indiana and Hawaii.Nationally, last month was the 14th warmest June on
record, with 170 temperature records broken or tied. Only the Pacific
Northwest had near-average temperatures.The record-high
temperatures were unusual for June; record-breaking heat more frequently
occurs later in the summer, according to Jake Crouch of NOAA's National Climatic Data Center.More than 53 percent of the area of all of the United
States -- including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico -- was experiencing
moderate or worse drought this week, according to the latest U.S.
Drought Monitor released Thursday. That set a record
for the third consecutive week, making it the most widespread drought in
the 12 years the government has been mapping this data. Drought conditions last week extended to 50.92 percent of the U.S. area, compared to 53.17 percent this week, said Kelly Helm Smith of the National Drought Mitigation Center.
EL NINO COULD PROLONG DROUGHT"We don't have a reason for saying it's going to improve," Smith said, acknowledging that warmer conditions in the coming months might well exceed current levels, with potentially tough impact on agriculture.
Another gauge of U.S. drought distress came in the form
of voluntary reports, which rose from fewer than 50 in January to over
300 in the first half of July.Smith included one such report from an unnamed farmer
and rancher in Colorado: "With record-setting high temps. and several
days of 108 to 113 degree temps, irrigation water shutting off and the
dry hot wind, conditions of pasture have turned from bad to worse.
Ranchers are now calling in with reports of finding dead antelope fawns
in the shade of cedar posts, very sad situation. Cattle are starting to
go to town."A La Nina pattern
of cool water in the equatorial Pacific, which normally brings colder,
wetter conditions to parts of the continental United States, ended
earlier this year, and there is a good chance that an El Nino pattern
could develop before year's end, said Dan Collins of NOAA's Climate Prediction Center. That could prolong drought conditions in the central United States, Collins said.
"There's a greater
chance that there is no relief possible or in sight" for the U.S.
Midwest, Collins said, stressing that these are probabilities, not
definitive predictions.Another reason
drought may be extended is that extreme heat seen across much of the
country has depleted moisture in the soil, which means there is less
moisture to evaporate and fuel precipitation.Around the world, last month was the fourth-warmest
June. Temperatures on land were the warmest ever recorded, while ocean
temperatures were the 10th warmest. The Northern Hemisphere had its
second-warmest June on record. The United Kingdom had its coolest June since 1991, while Austria had the sixth-warmest June in 250 years.(Reporting by Deborah Zabarenko; Editing by Dale Hudson and Cynthia Osterman)

Syrian forces stretched, intelligence chief dies
BEIRUT
(Reuters) - A fourth member of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's inner
circle died on Friday from a bomb attack this week and his forces
fought to recapture border posts and parts of Damascus from rebels who
have converged on the capital. As refugees flooded
across Syria's borders and U.N. officials said they had heard banks in
Damascus had run out of cash, Russia's envoy to Paris added to a sense
Assad's days were numbered by saying he had accepted he would have to
leave power.Syrian state
television flashed a government statement soon afterwards saying the
comments were "completely devoid of truth".Assad not spoken
since Wednesday's attack on a meeting of his high command and only
appeared on Thursday to appoint a new defense minister to replace one of
the assassinated men.Syrian state television said a funeral ceremony for the
defense minister, his deputy - Assad's brother-in-law - and a senior
general was being held on Friday in Damascus. It said later Syria's intelligence chief Hisham
Bekhtyar had died on Friday morning of wounds sustained in the same
attack.Clashes continued in Damascus for a sixth day and at
least three people were killed when Syrian army helicopters fired
rockets at the southeastern neighborhood of Saida Zeinab, opposition
activists said.Rebels from elsewhere in Syria have poured into the capital for what they say is the final battle for Damascus."The regime is going through its last days,"
Abdelbasset Seida, the leader of the main Syrian opposition umbrella
group, the Syrian National Council, said in Rome, predicting a possible
dramatic escalation in violence.Clashes were fiercest overnight in the sprawling Mezzeh
district, where rebels appear to be sustaining attacks on many security
compounds located there, residents said.State television said Syrian forces had cleared the
central district of Midan of "mercenaries and terrorists". Opposition
activists and rebels sources confirmed on Friday that they had withdrawn
after coming under heavy bombardment."It is a tactical withdrawal. We are still in Damascus," Abu Omar, a rebel commander, said by telephone.
EMPTY STREETS
Residents in central Damascus said shops were closed, roads were empty and only a handful of people were outside."We have heard reports that many of the banks have just run out of money," Melissa Fleming, chief spokeswoman for the United Nations' refugee agency UNHCR, told a briefing in Geneva.Residents reported a lack of government checkpoints in the heart of the city and fewer guards in front of the Interior Ministry a day after the police headquarters was torched.Government forces struck the rebel-held Bab al-Hawa border post on the frontier with Turkey overnight and shelled the city of Abu Kamal near the main checkpoint on the border with Iraq which was seized by rebels on Thursday, the Observatory said.Syrian rebels were still in control of the main Abu Kamal border post on the Euphrates River highway, one of the major trade routes across the Middle East, a senior Iraqi interior ministry official said on Friday.Other border posts further north, near the Iraqi city of Mosul, appeared to still be under Syrian government army control, Lieutenant-General Ahmed Al-Khafaji told Reuters.Up to 30,000 Syrian refugees may have crossed into Lebanon in the past 48 hours to escape the fighting, the UNHCR said, a huge increase in numbers seeking to flee.
A total of 310 people, including 98 security personnel, were killed on Thursday, the Observatory said, the highest daily death toll so far. The reports could not be confirmed. The Syrian government restricts access by international journalists.
SECURITY MEN DEAD IN STREETS
In Damascus, a witness in the central old quarter district of Qanawat said the huge headquarters of the Damascus Province Police was black with smoke and abandoned on Thursday after being torched and looted in a rebel attack."Three patrol cars came to the site and were hit by roadside bombs," activist Abu Rateb said by telephone. "I saw three bodies in one car. Others said dozens of security men and shabbiha (pro-Assad militia) lay dead or wounded along Khaled bin al-Walid street, before ambulances took them away."A resident who toured much of Damascus late on Thursday said the Interior Ministry at the main Marjeh Square had a fraction of its usual contingent of guards still in place.Shelling could be heard on the southwestern suburb of Mouadamiyeh from hills overlooking the city where the Fourth Division, commanded by Assad's brother Maher, is based, he said.Syrian television showed the bodies of about 20 men in T-shirts and jeans with weapons lying at their sides, sprawled across a road in the capital's Qaboun district. It described them as members of the "so-called Free Army" killed in battle. The next few days will be critical in determining whether Assad's government can recover from the devastating blow of the bombing on Wednesday of Assad's inner circle which destroyed its aura of invulnerability. The Russian ambassador to France said he believed Assad had signaled readiness to step down when he accepted a recent international declaration which foresaw a transition towards a more democratic Syria. "That means he has accepted to leave, but in an orderly way," Alexandre Orlov told French RFI radio. The remarks differed sharply from repeated Russian statements that Assad will not leave power altogether of his own accord, but Moscow has also argued that Assad is ready to comply with demands he delegate authority by naming a representative to conduct a political dialogue with the opposition.Although Russia has criticized Western powers for pushing for Assad to step down, the comments drew a hasty rebuff from Damascus in a sign of the intense nervousness there.Diplomatic efforts - rapidly overtaken by events on the ground - collapsed in disarray on Thursday when Russia and China vetoed a U.N. Security Council resolution that would have imposed sanctions unless Syrian authorities halted violence. Washington said the Council had "failed utterly".
China said Western diplomats were to blame for trying to ram through a draft that did not put enough pressure on opposition groups, China's official Xinhua news agency said on Friday. In a commentary, Xinhua said the draft was not balanced and Western diplomats "displayed arrogance and inflexibility" in negotiations, effectively killing it.

UTTER FAILURE
Diplomacy has been largely ineffective throughout the
crisis, with Western countries condemning Assad but showing no stomach
for the sort of robust intervention that saw NATO bombers help blast
Libya's Muammar Gaddafi from power last year.Thursday's failed U.N. Security Council resolution,
which would have extended a small, unarmed U.N. monitoring mission, was
the third that has been vetoed by Russia and China. The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice,
said the Security Council had "failed utterly", and Washington would
look elsewhere for ways "to bring pressure to bear on the Assad regime
and to deliver assistance to those in need".Russia criticized her comments. "I think that is a very
alarming signal to all of us," Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander
Lukashevich said in Moscow. To replace the
vetoed text, Britain proposed a four-paragraph resolution that would at
least extend the expiring mandate of the monitors for 30 days. Russia's
ambassador said he would ask Moscow to consider it.(Additional

PARIS (AP) — Russia's ambassador to France said Friday that he believes Syria's president is ready to step down "in a civilized way." But the Syrian government immediately denied it.Alexander Orlov said that Bashar Assad's acceptance of an international agreement in June for a transition toward a more democratic regime,
and his subsequent step of naming a representative to negotiate the
transition, meant that he was prepared to give up leadership. The
country is sliding into even further chaos, with fighting around the
capital Damascus intensifying two days after the inner circle of Assad's
regime was hit by an attack that killed three top Syrian defense
officials."Personally ... I think it will be difficult for him to
stay in office given everything that's happened," Orlov said in an
interview with Radio France Internationale.Orlov spoke a day after Moscow vetoed a Western-backed U.N. resolution aimed at pressuring President Bashar Assad's
government to end the war. Friday was the deadline for the U.N. to
renew its 300-member observer mission in Syria, or let the mandate
expire.Orlov noted in the interview that Assad accepted the final statement of the June 30 Geneva agreement
for a transition "toward a more democratic regime" then went the next
step, naming a representative to negotiate the transition with the
opposition. In essence, that meant that "he accepted to leave, but leave
in a civilized way," the ambassador said.Syrian TV quickly said
that the interview had been taken out of context. Russian Embassy
spokesman Sergei Parinov also said the ambassador's statement was
"incorrectly interpreted" by international media. Parinov told The
Associated Press the ambassador just "restated" Russia's interpretation
of Assad's response to the Geneva agreement. Parinov said the
ambassador's statement was not referring to any new information coming
from the Assad regime on Friday. The remarks by the ambassador
appeared to be adding a new layer of interpretation to the Geneva
agreement, which was based on a U.N.-brokered peace plan that Syria's
president was party to. In fact, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov
underlined at the time that the plan does not require Assad's ouster,
saying there is "no attempt in the document to impose on the Syrian
people any type of transitional process."Russia, which along with
China has blocked U.N. action on the Security Council, has
long-standing close ties with Damascus that, through a Syrian port,
offers Moscow its only window on the Mediterranean Sea.It was not immediately clear whether the ambassador's talk about Assad's future was meant to send a signal to Damascus.A
Russian political analyst thinks that Assad "naturally" chose a Russian
diplomat to float the idea of his resignation — openly sought by
Western nations."If it's true that now Assad is ready to consider
the matter of his resignation, it is natural to translate the idea
through Russia that has all this time been (Syria's) main political
partner," Fyodor Lukyanov, the Moscow-based editor of Russia in Global
Affairs magazine, said in an interview with AP.Moscow bristled at
Western attempts to "put the blame" on Russia for escalating the Syrian
civil war, hours after Moscow vetoed the U.N. resolution meant to
pressure Assad's government to end the conflict.Russia was
adamantly opposed to any mention of Chapter 7 of the United Nations
Charter, which could eventually allow the use of force to end
hostilities in Syria.Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander
Lukashevich said in televised remarks that the attempts of "certain
Western countries" to blame Russia for the escalation of the Syrian war
are "absolutely unacceptable."
The West has been intensifying its pressure on Assad, with the latest move coming from the EU.European
Union nations will enforce an arms embargo against Syria by boarding
ships and aircraft carrying suspicious cargo to the war-torn nation, an
official said Friday. The senior EU official said obligatory
inspections will start after being adopted by foreign ministers Monday.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he is not
authorized to speak to the media on the record. The 28-nation bloc
banned arms exports to Syria in May 2011. But until now, governments
couldn't decide whether or not to check suspicious cargo. The inspections will take place only on EU territory or in its waters, the official said. The
EU has frozen the assets of 43 companies and 128 people believed to be
associated with Syrian repression, or benefitting from the regime. About
two dozen new names will likely be added next week, said an EU diplomat
who could not be named for the same reason.___Angela Charlton in Paris, Slobodan Lekic in Brussels and Mansur Mirovalev in Moscow contributed to this report.

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea said on Friday it was being forced to "reexamine" its nuclear program
because of fresh signs the United States remains hostile towards the
country, indicating it will step up defiant efforts to boost its nuclear
arsenal.The new leadership
of North Korea, headed by the third generation of the Kim family,
reinforced its control on the reclusive state this week by further
promoting its young leader Jong-un and purging a top general who was
seen as opposing his reforms. The North
has denied in recent months that it was preparing to conduct a third
nuclear test, after a failed rocket launch widely seen as a long-range
missile test in disguise, which effectively scrapped a deal on
moratorium on such tests reached with Washington in February."The consistent
hostile policy towards the DPRK pursued by the U.S. is giving rise to
the evil cycle of confrontation and tensions on the Korean Peninsula,
making the prospect of denuclearizing the peninsula all the more
gloomy," the North's unnamed Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
DPRK is short for the North's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea."The situation
compels the DPRK to totally reexamine the nuclear issue," the spokesman
said in comments carried by the official KCNA news agency."Without the U.S. fundamental repeal of its hostile policy
toward the DPRK first, it will be completely impossible to settle the
issue of ensuring the lasting peace and stability on the Korean
Peninsula."North Korea this
week accused the United States of masterminding a sabotage on the
statues of its dead leaders in Pyongyang by sending a defector who had
fled to the South back into the country to destroy them.(Reporting by Jack Kim; Editing by Daniel Magnowski)
