Suspect in Oklahoma beheading expected to be charged with murder-reuters-By Heide Brandes-SPT 29,14-YAHOONEWS

OKLAHOMA CITY (Reuters) - Oklahoma plans to file a murder charge as early as Tuesday against Alton Nolen, who is suspected of beheading a former co-worker at a food distribution center last week, prosecutors said. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is also looking into Nolen's background for any potential religious ties to the attack after former colleagues said he had attempted to convert them to Islam. Police said Nolen had recently become a Muslim.Nolen, 30, is suspected of attacking two women shortly after being fired on Thursday at Vaughan Foods in Moore, a suburb of Oklahoma City, police said."The District Attorney's office anticipates a charging decision in the Alton Nolen case early Tuesday afternoon," it said in a statement.Police said he stabbed and then severed the head of 54-year-old Colleen Hufford and attacked 43-year-old Traci Johnson before being shot by Mark Vaughan, the company's chief operating officer who is also a sheriff's deputy.Johnson is expected to recover, police said. The FBI investigation comes as Islamist militants fighting in Iraq and Syria have released videos that purported to show the beheadings of two U.S. journalists and a British aid worker.Police said a Facebook page for Nolen, under his Muslim name Jah'Keem Yisrael, contained anti-American and pro-Islamic jihad comments.A woman who said she was Nolen's mother took to social media to apologize to the victims of the attack."My heart is just so heavy right now," Joyce Nolen said in a Facebook posting over the weekend."I want to apologize to both families, because this is not Alton."Megan Nolen, the suspect' sister, said in the same video that Alton was not a violent person.Alton Nolen underwent surgery at a local hospital after being shot and was expected to survive, Moore police said.Nolen had a non-violent criminal record, including drug-related arrests, a jail escape and resisting police, authorities said.A group of Oklahoma lawmakers in the heavily Republican state issued a statement that suggested the attack might have been related to militant Islam and not sparked by a workplace dispute."Unfortunately, jihadism is no longer confined to foreign soil. We must be alert to it here and take steps to counter the doctrine, institutions and organizations that foster it," the Counterterrorism Caucus of the Oklahoma Legislature said.(Writing by Jon Herskovitz; Editing by Doina Chiacu and Eric Walsh)

Investor clauses could be left out of EU-US trade deal-29.09.14 @ 18:50-EUOBSERVER-By Benjamin Fox

BRUSSELS - The EU's likely next trade commissioner has signalled that controversial investor protection rules allowing companies to sue governments could ultimately be left out of a transatlantic trade deal with the United States."I don't exclude that in the end it will be taken out," Swedish nominee Cecilia Malmstrom told MEPs during a public hearing on Monday (29 September), although she insisted that it would be 'premature' to exclude the clause from the talks, known as TTIP, already. The status of the investor protection clauses, known as investor state dispute settlement, dominated the three hours of questioning faced by Malmstrom, currently serving as the EU executive's home affairs commissioner. The mechanism allows companies to take legal action against governments if their decisions risk undermining their investments.Critics of ISDS claim that investor claims can prevent governments from passing legislation in fields such as environmental and social protection, enabling corporations to claim potentially unlimited damages in "arbitration panels" if their profits are adversely affected by new regulations.Although Malmstrom's answers were more critical of ISDS provisions than the incumbent commissioner Karel de Gucht, with the Swedish official remarking that "I agree that there are problems with ISDS because there have been abuses," her responses will fall short of expectations for a number of MEPs.While leaving her options open on the EU-US talks, Malmstrom ruled out the possibility of re-opening the just-concluded trade agreement with Canada to exclude ISDS, commenting that "eliminating ISDS from the Canada agreement would be a very bad idea" and could "unravel the agreement".On Friday (26 September), Green MEP Sven Giegold published a draft of Malmstrom's written replies to questions posed by the committee in which the commissioner designate indicated that she would be prepared to leave TTIP out of the negotiations. However, commission officials quickly backtracked, claiming that the answer had been based on the inaccurate reporting of a quote made by Jean-Claude Juncker, the next commission president.Addressing MEPs, Malmstrom apologised for what she described as a "mix-up" in sending her written answers to the committee.EU countries are already signed up to over 1,400 ISDS agreements, but the question of whether such provisions should be included in TTIP has become a sticking point in the talks.Last week, German economics minister Sigmar Gabriel called on the commission to re-open the trade talks with the Canadian government to remove ISDS, on the basis that foreign investors already have sufficient legal protection in national courts.David Martin, trade spokesman for the centre-left Socialist and Democrat group told Malmstrom that ISDS had become "a toxic issue for this parliament".In response, Malmstrom said that MEPs had previously tasked the commission with drawing up a common EU approach to ISDS. "We need to limit the scope for abuse and increase transparency… make it clear that it can only be used as a last resort" she remarked. The parliament's left-wing and Green groups have said they will not support future trade agreements which include ISDS provisions. However, both US and EU trade officials have so far argued that ISDS should remain in any pact, and that it would not limit the right of governments to legislate in the public interest.Meanwhile, Malmstrom promised she would increase MEPs' access to negotiation documents and publish a list of her meetings and correspondence with lobbyists on the trade talks, commenting that the EU executive "must demonstrate that we are not negotiating a secret deal behind the parliament's back."The hearings for the 27 commission nominees will continue this week and will conclude on 7 October. MEPs will then vote on whether to back the commission team assembled by Jean-Claude Juncker.

Ukraine wary of EU's Russia gas deal-29.09.14 @ 18:12-EUOBSERVER-By Andrew Rettman

BRUSSELS - The EU is keen for Ukraine to accept a winter deal on Russian gas, but Ukraine is wary of the terms and of broader EU-Russia energy ties. The deal - put forward by the European Commission in talks in Berlin last Friday (26 September) - currently exists as three sheets of paper with no legal status or signatures. It is being discussed in Kiev and Moscow. Brussels hopes they will agree to it by the end of the week and turn into a “binding protocol” by the end of next week.If they do not, people in eastern EU states, the Western Balkans, and Ukraine will be at risk of electricity shortages and freezing in their homes during winter. If they do, Ukraine will pay Russia $3.1 billion of debt and pre-pay for gas each month at $385 per thousand cubic metres (tcm), while Russia will deliver 5 billion cubic metres (bcm) of gas between now and April. An EU source told EUobserver “the Russian side is basically in agreement already, but the Ukraine side is being more cautious”.A Ukrainian diplomat gave one reason why Kiev is unhappy. He said the market price for gas should be $250/tcm and that Russian gas firm Gazprom is helping the Kremlin to “pay for the war” in east Ukraine.“Why should we support a company that is supporting terrorists in Ukraine and even paying for this war?” he told EUobserver.A Ukrainian analyst, Michael Gonchar, who used to be a senior executive at Ukraine’s top gas company, Naftogaz, and who has read the EU’s three-page accord, gave a less emotional response. He said the “protocol” should be enshrined in international law if Gazprom is to stick to it. He added that it should spell out how much of the 5 bcm is to be delivered to Ukraine each month, how much of it is to be transited to the EU, and how much is to stay in Ukraine.“This deal is not good for us because it is too vague, so Gazprom can play with it to exert pressure”, he noted.Gonchar said one scenario is that Gazprom will reduce Ukraine supplies, claim that Ukraine stole the gas, and use the crunch to urge the EU to let it pump more gas via the Nord Stream pipeline to Germany. The Ukrainian diplomat also complained the EU rejected all its energy security ideas in the past few months.Kiev suggested the EU, Russia, and Ukraine should put monitors at pumping stations to verify any allegations of “stolen” volumes and that EU firms should buy gas at the Russia-Ukraine border instead of the EU-Ukraine border so they have more control of transit. The diplomat added the commission has put on ice its three-year old probe into Gazprom price-fixing in Europe for fear of annoying Russia too much.“There is no motivation from high-ranking authorities to conclude this. They have all the files but they are still waiting for the political signal”, he said. For her part, a commission spokeswoman, Marlene Holzner, said the monitoring and gas-purchasing ideas are “old … we are moving away from these steps, which were designed to help cope with a crisis, to a situation where the gas will keep on flowing despite the [Russia-Ukraine] conflict”.Another commission spokesman, Antoine Colombani, said the Gazprom probe is “actively ongoing” and that it is “normal” for complex cases to take a long time.Meanwhile, even if the winter gas deal goes ahead, it might not be enough to keep everyone warm. The 5 bcm figure is based on EU and Ukraine needs factoring in reverse flows from Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia to Ukraine. But Hungary last week stopped supplies citing “technical reasons” after a visit to Budapest by the Gazprom CEO.The commission’s energy supremo, Gunther Oettinger, who drafted the Berlin agreement, said in the German capital on Friday that Hungary did nothing wrong.“[EU] member states also need to fill their own storage tanks, so I don’t think this is a blockade [by Russia]”, he told press. He added that Slovakia’s contracts with Gazprom also mean that it can refuse to let it use some of its pipelines to reverse-supply Ukraine.Holzner on Monday added that while European Energy Community (EEC) rules oblige Hungary to deliver the gas to Ukraine “in principle” the terms of individual contracts with Russia trump the EEC regime. The EEC is an energy club created by the EU and Western Balkan states, Moldova, and Ukraine in 2005.

I could back No vote' on EU, Cameron says-29.09.14 @ 09:21-EUOBSERVER-By Benjamin Fox

BRUSSELS - David Cameron has suggested that he would campaign for Britain to leave the EU if he is unable to renegotiate the country's membership terms.Speaking in a BBC interview on Sunday (28 September), the UK prime minister said "if I thought that it wasn’t in Britain’s interests to be in the EU I wouldn’t argue for us to be in it.""If I don't achieve that, it will be for the British public to decide whether to stay in or get out".Cameron plans to renegotiate Britain's EU status before holding an in/out referendum in 2017, assuming his Conservative Party wins next May's general election.“I want the 27 other countries in Europe to see that there is a plan here – that can end with a reformed EU and a reformed relationship with Britain and Britain staying in", he added on Sunday. But his hopes of keeping his party united on Europe took a blow over the weekend, when backbench MP Mark Reckless defected to the anti-EU Ukip party on the eve of the Conservative's party conference in Birmingham. The move, the second Ukip defection in a month, means that Cameron is likely to tack to the right in a bid to prevent further MPs switching sides. In his conference address, Cameron is to demand that governments be given more control over the EU's “freedom of movement” rules which allow EU citizens to live and work in other countries in the bloc.He is also expected to reiterate the need to crack down on "welfare tourism".Reckless said his decision to join Nigel Farage's Ukip was prompted by Cameron's stance on immigration and the EU. Cameron was "not serious about renegotiation", he noted.Meanwhile, Farage has hinted that talks are ongoing between Ukip officials and a handful of MPs from the Conservative and Labour benches.Dan Hannan, an MEP and close friend of Reckless and Douglas Carswell (who defected in August), has been widely touted as a likely target for Farage, although he has insisted that he will not leave the Conservatives.

Spain to block referendum, after Catalonia signs decree-29.09.14 @ 08:51-EUOBSERVER-By Andrew Rettman

BRUSSELS - Catalans have switched on a giant clock in Barcelona to count the days and hours to a referendum on secession on 9 November after local leader Artur Mas signed the project into law on Saturday (27 September). But Madrid says it will not go ahead.Spain’s deputy PM, Soraya Saenz de Santamaria, told press shortly after Mas’ signature ceremony that “this referendum will not take place because it is not constitutional”.She added: “No government and no single person is above the will of sovereignty, and it is the government’s job to ensure that the law is not broken … No one is above democracy, nor can they decide [which laws] should be obeyed and which should no longer be obeyed”.The government says that under Spain’s 1978 charter only it has the power to call a vote and that all Spaniards must be involved in the outcome.Mas says the “consultation’s” non-binding nature means it can go ahead under a local decree. The Spanish government is to hold an emergency cabinet meeting on Monday and to refer the case to the Constitutional Court, which is expected to take its side. But Mas on Saturday said: “We cannot fall into the trap of immobility, the trappings of legality, and do nothing at all … Catalonia wants to decide its own political future, peacefully and democratically”.He referred to Catalonia as a “nation”. Speaking from Barcelona’s medieval palace, he added that over the past “seven centuries, only external impositions have caused the suspension of self-government, self-government which the will of the Catalan people has always sought to reclaim”.His office the same day published a list of voting stations and unveiled a €9 million budget for the project. It said the vote will be guarded by 9,200 local police and that 10,800 ballot boxes will be ready in October.Polls indicate that most Catalans would say Yes if given the chance.Forty five percent of them also say they want Mas to abide by the Constitutional Court decision. But for his part, Oriol Junqueras, the head of Catalonia’s left-wing ERC party, earlier this month called for civil disobedience if the vote does not go ahead. Pedro Sanchez, the head of the left-wing opposition PSD party in Madrid also warned that “after 9 November goes by and there is no vote, we'll have to face emotions in Catalonia: frustration; anger; discouragement; and even resistance."The Catalan confrontation comes after Scotland voted No to independence on 18 September.Mas has noted he would have preferred a Yes, but says the way that Britain handled the situation should be a model for Spain.A majority of Basque people in north-west Spain also want the chance to vote on their status.Separatists in Belgium and Sardinia have said the developments in Scotland and Spain have given a boost to their hopes for independence as well.

09/29/2014 - VATICAN INSIDER-Francis: Beware of Satan, he seems good but he wants to destroy us-Pope Francis among the faithful-At this morning’s mass in St. Martha’s House, the Pope said: “The angels defend us. They fight against the devil to let mankind win.” "This struggle is a daily reality in Christian life, in our hearts, in our lives, in our families, in our people, in our churches ... If we do not struggle, we will be defeated”-Domenico Agasso jr

Rome-“Satan is the enemy of mankind. He is astute: the first page of Genesis tells us so, he is astute.  He presents things as if they were a good thing. But his intention is destruction. And the angels defend us. They defend mankind and they defend the God-Man, the superior Man, Jesus Christ who is the perfection of humanity, the most perfect.” This was Francis’ message in the homily pronounced at this morning’s mass in St. Martha’s House on the Feast of the Holy Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. “The angels defend us,” he explained. “The Church honours the Angels, because they are the ones who will be in the glory of God – they are in the glory of God - because they defend the great hidden mystery of God, namely, that the Word was made flesh,” Vatican Radio quotes the Pope saying. "The task of the people of God - the Pope said - is to safeguard man: the man Jesus” because "He is the man who gives life to all men". Instead, in his plans for destruction, Satan has invented "humanistic explanations that go against man, against humanity and against God.” "This struggle is a daily reality in Christian life, in our hearts, in our lives, in our families, in our people, in our churches ... If we do not struggle, we will be defeated.”The Pope based today’s teaching on readings which illustrate the vision of the glory of God described by the prophet Daniel with the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, before the Father; the archangel Michael and his angels fighting against "the great dragon, the ancient serpent, he who is called the devil" and "seduces all of inhabited earth," but who is defeated, as affirmed by the Book of Revelation; and the Gospel in which Jesus says to Nathanael: "You will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.”Pope Francis focused on "the struggle between God and the devil.” "This struggle takes place after Satan seeks to destroy the woman about to give birth to a child. Satan always tries to destroy man: the man that Daniel saw there, in glory, and whom Jesus told Nathanael would come in glory. From the very beginning, the Bible speaks to us of this: Satan’s [use of ] seduction to destroy. Maybe out of envy. We read in Psalm 8: 'Thou hast made man superior to the angels,' and that angel of great intelligence could not bear this humiliation, that a lower creature was made superior to him; thus he tried to destroy it.”Satan, therefore, seeks to destroy humanity, all of us: "So many projects, except for one's own sins, but many, many projects for mankind’s dehumanization are his work, simply because he hates mankind. He is astute: the first page of Genesis tells us so, he is astute.  He presents things as if they were a good thing.  But his intention is destruction. And the angels defend us. They defend mankind and they defend the God-Man, the superior Man, Jesus Christ who is the perfection of humanity, the most perfect. This is why the Church honors the Angels, because they are the ones who will be in the glory of God – they are in the glory of God - because they defend the great hidden mystery of God, namely, that the Word was made flesh.”The Pope then stressed that “the task of the people of God is to safeguard man: the man Jesus” because "He is the man who gives life to all men". Instead, in his plans for destruction, Satan has invented "humanistic explanations that go against man, against humanity and against God.”"This struggle is a daily reality in Christian life, in our hearts, in our lives, in our families, in our people, in our churches ... If we do not struggle, we will be defeated. But the Lord has given this task mainly to the angels: to do battle and win. And the final song of Revelation, after this battle, is so beautiful: Now have salvation and power come, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Anointed. For the accuser of our brothers is cast out, who accuses them before our God day and night.”

Hong Kong protesters stockpile supplies, prepare for long haul-Reuters-By Clare Baldwin and James Pomfret-SEPT 29,14-YAHOONEWS

HONG KONG (Reuters) - Tens of thousands of pro-democracy protesters extended a blockade of Hong Kong streets on Tuesday, stockpiling supplies and erecting makeshift barricades ahead of what some fear may be a push by police to clear the roads before Chinese National Day.Riot police shot pepper spray and tear gas at protesters at the weekend but withdrew on Monday to ease tension as the ranks of demonstrators swelled. Protesters spent the night sleeping or holding vigil unharassed on normally busy roads in the global financial hub.Throughout the night, rumors rippled through crowds of protesters that police were preparing to move in again. As the sun rose many remained wary, especially on the eve of Wednesday's anniversary of the Communist Party's foundation of the People's Republic of China in 1949."Many powerful people from the mainland will come to Hong Kong. The Hong Kong government won't want them to see this, so the police must do something," Sui-ying Cheng, 18, a freshman at Hong Kong University's School of Professional and Continuing Education, said of the National Day holiday."We are not scared. We will stay here tonight. Tonight is the most important," she said. The protesters, mostly students, are demanding full democracy and have called on the city's leader Leung Chun-ying to step down after Beijing on Aug. 31 ruled out free elections for Hong Kong's leader, known as the Chief Executive, in 2017.China rules Hong Kong under a "one country, two systems" formula that accords the former British colony a degree of autonomy and freedoms not enjoyed in mainland China, with universal suffrage set as an eventual goal.Protesters massed in at least four of Hong Kong's busiest areas, including Admiralty, where Hong Kong's government is headquartered, the Central business district, Causeway Bay, one of the city's most bustling shopping areas, and the densely populated Mong Kok district in Kowloon.Organizers said as many as 80,000 people thronged the streets after the protests flared on Friday night. No independent estimate of numbers was available."I must stress that the events happening now cannot be attributed to the students or Occupy Central. It has evolved into a civil movement," said Alex Chow, the leader of the Hong Kong Federation of Students.Protesters set up supply stations with water bottles, fruit, crackers, disposable raincoats, towels, goggles, face masks and tents, indicating they were in for the long haul. Some lugged metal road barricades into positions on the edge of crowds, presumably to slow a police advance. In at least one location, several minivans and a truck were parked in rows in an apparent effort to block a road.

EXERCISE RESTRAINT

Communist Party leaders worry that calls for democracy could spread to the mainland, and have been aggressively censoring news and social media comments about the Hong Kong demonstrations. The movement presents Beijing's ruling Communist Party with a difficult challenge. Cracking down too hard could shake confidence in market-driven Hong Kong, which has a separate legal system from the rest of China. Not reacting firmly enough, however, could embolden dissidents on the mainland. The outside world has looked on warily, concerned that the clashes could spread and trigger a much harsher crackdown."The United States urges the Hong Kong authorities to exercise restraint and for protesters to express their views peacefully," White House spokesman Josh Earnest told a daily briefing on Monday.Human Rights Watch voiced concern about police use of force, and called on Leung to "show the kind of tolerance for peaceful protest for which Hong Kong is known, not the intolerance for it in the mainland".The demonstrations, labeled "illegal" by China's Communist-run government in Beijing, are the worst in Hong Kong since China resumed its rule over the former British colony in 1997.An editorial in the state-run Global Times newspaper said on Tuesday the government would not change its policy "just because of the chaos created by the oppositionists", and it suggested that the authorities might let the protests run their course."Without changing the earlier decision, the central and Hong Kong governments can exercise a certain degree of restraint in handling the shutdown of the city's financial areas, so as to leave some time for local people to realize the harm done by the protesters' illegal acts," it said. The protests are expected to escalate on Wednesday, with residents of the nearby former Portuguese enclave of Macau also planning a rally."Maybe the police are planning a bigger operation for the coming night, so most of them need to rest and prepare," Stanley Fong, a 22-year-old property agent, said of the relative lack of police out on Monday night.

RESOLUTELY OPPOSED

Televised scenes of the chaos in Hong Kong over the weekend have already made a deep impression outside the financial hub. That was especially the case in Taiwan, which has full democracy but is considered by Beijing as a renegade province that must one day be reunited with the mainland. Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou said Beijing needed "to listen carefully to the demands of the Hong Kong people".Britain said it was concerned about the situation and called for the right of protest to be protected.Earlier, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Beijing was "resolutely opposed to any country attempting in any way to support such illegal activities like 'Occupy Central'."Banks in Hong Kong, including HSBC , Citigroup , Bank of China <601988 .ss="">, Standard Chartered and DBS , shut some branches and advised staff to work from home or go to secondary branches on Monday.Financial fallout from the turmoil has been limited so far. Hong Kong shares <.HSI> ended down 1.9 percent on Monday. The protests have spooked tourists, with arrivals from China down sharply ahead of the National Day holidays, which are normally a peak. On Monday, Hong Kong canceled the city's fireworks display over the harbor, meant to mark the holiday. The United States, Australia and Singapore issued travel alerts.(Additional reporting by Donny Kwok, Elzio Barreto,; Venus Wu, Yimou Lee, Diana Chan, Kinling Lo, Twinnie Siu, Bobby Yip and Stefanie McIntyre in HONG KONG; Writing by John Ruwitch and Anne-Marie Roantree; Editing by Paul Tait)

11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.(WORLD TERRORISM,MURDERS)(HAMAS IN HEBREW IS VIOLENCE)
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence (TERRORISM)(HAMAS) through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

HOSEA 4:1-3
1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

At least 36 feared dead on Japanese volcano, search called off-Reuters-By Elaine Lies-SEPT 29,14-YAHOONEWS

TOKYO (Reuters) - At least 36 people are feared to have died after a Japanese volcano erupted without warning at the weekend, raining ash and stones on hikers, but the search for victims was abandoned on Monday because of fears of toxic gases.Rescuers at the peak of Mount Ontake, now an eerie moonscape under a thick layer of grey ash, on Monday found five more victims of Saturday's eruption at Japan's second-highest active volcano but authorities did not immediately confirm them as dead. The eruption of the 3,067-metre (10,062-foot) peak, 200 km (125 miles) west of Tokyo, took place as the hiking site was packed with climbers, including children, admiring autumn foliage under a brilliant blue sky.Twelve people have been confirmed dead in Japan's first fatal volcanic eruption since 1991, and 63 have been injured, some with broken bones. Eight were missing, but officials said some of them could possibly be among those who perished."It's my son, my second son. We've had absolutely no contact at all," a grey-haired man told Japanese television, adding that his 26-year-old son had gone to the mountain with his girlfriend. "We're utterly exhausted."More than 500 rescuers had been combing the summit, ploughing through knee-deep ash and passing mountain lodges with holes punched in their roofs by rocks shot out of the volcano.Helicopters lifted laden stretchers one by one from the summit on Monday, before rescue efforts were abandoned. As on Sunday, the smell of sulphur strengthened at the peak, fanning fears of toxic fumes and forcing rescuers off the mountain.Japan is one of the world's most seismically active nations. In 1991, 43 people died in a pyroclastic flow, a superheated current of gas and rock, at Mount Unzen in the southwest.Ontake, Japan's second-highest active volcano, last had a minor eruption seven years ago. Its last major eruption, the first on record, was in 1979.Hikers said there was no warning of Saturday's eruption just before noon and hundreds were trapped for hours before descent became possible later in the day."I felt a hot wind blast against my back and crouched down to the ground," a man told NTV. "I was sure I was going to die."It was natural that Japan's Meteorological Agency, which monitors volcanic activity, might reconsider its surveillance system, said Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga."However, I believe that, given current levels of knowledge, they made the only judgment they could," he told a news conference.Suga also said the eruption would have no impact on the restart of the Sendai nuclear plant in southwestern Japan, an area of active volcanic sites. The plant was just cleared to restart in early September.Experts said it was hard to have predicted the eruption, despite tremors in the area this month, since there were no other changes in the mountain. Also, the eruption appears to have resulted from a steam-driven explosion of a kind that is especially hard to forecast, said Toshitsugu Fujii, a volcano expert."They often occur quite suddenly and there is absolutely no guarantee that the earthquakes earlier this month were connected," he told a news conference on Sunday. "There is no guarantee of total safety when you're dealing with nature."(Additional reporting by Kaori Kaneko and Antoni Slodkowski; Editing by Clarence Fernandez and Robert Birsel)

THE FIRST JUDGEMENT OF THE EARTH STARTED WITH WATER-IT ONLY MAKES SENSE THE LAST GENERATION WILL BE HAVING FLOODING
GENESIS 7:6-12
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
GOD PROMISED BY A RAINBOW-THE EARTH WOULD NEVER BE DESTROYED TOTALLY WITH A FLOOD AGAIN.BUT FLOODIING IS A SIGN OF JUDGEMENT.

Mexico official suspended after Hurricane Odile-Associated Press-SEPT 29,14-YAHOONEWS

MEXICO CITY (AP) — A Mexican official in Baja California Sur has been suspended amid reports linking him to possible looting in the aftermath of Hurricane Odile.A statement from the government of Los Cabos says the civil protection coordinator for Cabo San Lucas has been removed pending the outcome of his "legal situation" before prosecutors. It said Monday that the move does not prejudge his guilt or innocence. Many stores in Los Cabos had their shelves emptied in the days after the hurricane hit earlier this month, as power, water and telephone service remained out.Mexican media reported that a number of possibly ill-gotten items were found at the official's home, including a motorcycle, six tires, two sandwich makers and three microwave ovens.
