REMEMBERING THE LITTLE ONES OF SANDY HOOK
It was friday morning on Dec 14,12.
The homes of all these 27 were normal,Get up,Eat,Have a Coffee and have a little chat.
Mommy after i come home tonight do we get to play outside.
Mommy,Daddy after school can we go to the mall for a drink and shop.
Christmas is only a week and 4 days away and can we open 1 of our gifts.

Now its 9:15AM and all the children are at their lockers and talking with their friends as they get ready to go to their classes.
Talking about what they will do at recess and what games to play with each other.
Now the doors are locked to the school and the classes will begin after attendence is takin.

We all here popping going on in the hall,we do not know whats happening.
We hear an open mike with screaming and crying going on.
Our teachers tell us to hide were ever we can,especially in the closets and the washrooms.
We are crying,we little ones do not know exactly whats going on.
Our teachers are trying to keep us calm and telling us to please be quite so nobody comes in our rooms.
We little ones do not know whats going on in the hall and Grade 1 class rooms.We just know its not good.
A Police officer comes to our door and tells us to close your eyes while your in the hall.
But since we could not see we were told to turn our heads and walk out the back or front door.
We are so frightened and shocked,we want our MOMMY AND DADDY.
We little ones wait in the Fire house for our Mommy or Daddy to come and get us.
MOMMY,DADDY-a bad man was hurting the Teachers and children,our friends.

GOV. MALLOY DIRECTS FLAGS TO FULL STAFF SATURDAY AT SUNSET
(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy is directing U.S. and
Connecticut flags to full staff at sunset on Saturday, December 22,
2012.Flags were lowered on December 14 in honor of the 20 children and 6

ADAM LANZAS MURDER RAMPAGE AT NEWTOWN CONNECTICUT SANDY HOOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.ITS REPORTED ADAM LANZA HAD AUTISM.
WHAT WE KNOW
-The possible motive was the day before the shooting THU Dec 13,12.Adam and three of the 6 dead Adults killed on Friday had a confrontation of some sort.I never heard what the confrontation was about,but this probably got Adam so mad,he snapped and decided hes going after them the next day.I figure he had the confrontation with the Principal,the Physchologist and Rachael (D'Avino was a behavioral therapist).We will find out when the Police give us their motive if i was on the right track with this one.But he had Autism so I figure these 3 would be dealing with Adam.
Since Rachael was just new to the school,and maybe somehow got to know Nancy Lanza.Maybe Nancy wanted to try to get help for Adam.But he refused and wanted nothing to do with it.If the 3 did have a confrontation about the situation.It would probably be about him attending special classes in the School or something like that.And Adam might only let Rachael help with him at his place only.He wanted nothing to do with classes at the School.And this situation could have set off a confrontation and Adams inside rage.
-Adam Killed his Mother Sometime before 9:30 AM fri Dec 14,12.
-Adam goes to Sandy Hook and parks his car near the Front Door of Sandy Hook in the Parking lot.
-Adam shoots out the front door or breaks the window with something.
-So we know Adam broke the window.So it was at least 9:31AM when Adam broke the window because the way the alarm system was set up at Sandy Hook.The doors automatically lock at 9:30AM when school starts.And after its locked.You need to ring so you can get in from the Office i presume.And your face is on camera so they know who you are.
-Reports says as soon as he broke in the teachers and students start hearing pop,pop,popping sounds.
-Instantly the office members-The Principal,Vice Principal and Phsychologist go in the hall to see whats going on.The Principal and the Phsychologist were shot and killed.The Vice Principal was shot in the Arm and leg went running back into the Office.There was 600 Students and 50 faculty members in the school at the time.
-Adam must have came in just after 9:31AM or in that area of the Hall there would not have been some children or Adults.
-We know this all happened near the front door of the School were the 1ST grade classes and the Office was.And there must be a Washroom in that area because we know some of the children were huddled in that washroom when they were shot and killed.In a press Conference the Officer said it happened in one section of the school in two rooms.
-At 9:41AM the 911 calls started coming into Police.
-We know Adam shot in the hallway.So i am just speculating here.He must have shot the Adults first as the Office was right near the Main Door.
-Adam must have seen Children from one of the grade 1 classes escaping the gunfire by going into the washroom in the area.
-Now today Sun we just Find out that it was Lauren Rousseau's first grade class that Adam Lanza first entered.Lauren was just at Sandy Hook 6 weeks.And Lauren just became a fulltime teacher.So it must have been Laurens room were most of the Children were killed and some of them probably escaped and went in the Hallway washroom and Adam then went in and killed them.We will see when the Official timeline comes out.Now we know no one was killed in the hall washroom.Forteen of the fifteen children died in this class.One child pretended she was dead and survived.
-The Medical Examiner said the killings were all up close and personal in all the 20 dead children who had from 3 to 11 bullets in their precious little bodies.
-Then Adam went to Grade 1 class Vicki Sotos class.all speculation on my part.And by news reports-Adam shot Vicki who told Adam there is no Children in this class as Vicki told the children to hide before he came in the room and killed her.Reports have it.But as Adam was killing Vicki,the Children came out of hiding oviously and wanted to get out of the class.And Miraculasly one child held the door open for some or the rest of the children from the class and they escaped out the front door.We do not know if all the children made it out or not.But my guess is not all the Children did make it out.We now know in Vickis room 7 children escaped and probably here is were the 6 children got shot in the washroom.
-I should add here that someone opened the office microphone so the whole school knew,something was going on but they did not know exactly what.They just knew they heard gunshots and screaming going on.
-We know by reports that once the Police came on the scene.Adam killed himself.And it was probably in Vicki Sotos room is my guess as we know he never shot himself in the washroom.
-We know 2 children were taken to hospital after the Police came on the scene.As latter on in the afternoon we were told 2 children died in the Hospital.And the third one taken to the Hospital injured was a parent of one of the teachers reports said.She was not killed and i am not sure if shes out of Hospital yet as of SUN DEC 16,12 2:45PM.
-It was reported by the Medical Examiner that all the deaths were from a Riffle,Not the 2 Hand guns that were by the dead killer.
-As reported falsely Adams Mother Nancy never worked at Sandy Hook.
-Adams Brother Ryan was takin in for questioning.But he was set free after that.
-Adam Killed his Mother Nancy Lanza at His or Her home in Newtown Connecticut.Before he Killed the OTHER 26 Children and Adults at Sandy Hook School.
-Ryan Lanza lives in New Jersey,not in Newtown Connecticut.
-When the final timeline by POLICE COMES OUT.I WILL UPDATE THIS STORY.
-Adam wanted to go in the Army.But Adam had phobias about being touched and going places.Nancy was disapppointed with Adam.
-Adam was into computers and Nancy was ok with leaving him alone for a couple of days at a time.

All parents who intend to volunteer in our kindergarten and first grade classes MUST be fingerprinted before being allowed to interact with the students. Volunteers for grades 2-4 with direct one-on one contact with a child also must be fingerprinted. Wasik, an 8-year-old third grader, was startled when she heard someone
rapidly firing off rounds inside another classroom. At first, she didn't
know what was going on, but then she began to hear the sirens wail."We
heard an ambulance and police officer come and everyone was a little
scared crying and I felt actually a little sick and like I was going to
throw up," she said. "Kids were crying, not really like screaming, but
they were all huddling together. They felt so sick."It was 9:41
a.m. when the first 911 call came into Connecticut State Police that
multiple students at Sandy Hook Elementary School were locked in a
classroom with a gunman. Adam Lanza killed 20 students and six adults at
the school.When the shooting began, Roig said she quickly got
up and closed her classroom door and ushered the children, all aged 6
and 7, into the class bathroom. She helped some climb onto the toilet so
they could all fit. Roig said she then pushed a wheeled storage unit in
front of the door."We all got in there. I locked us in," she
said. "I don't know if [the gunman] came in the room... I just told them
we have to be absolutely quiet.""If they started crying, I
would take their face and tell them, 'It's going to be OK,'" Roig
continued. "I wanted that to be the last thing they heard, not the
gunfire in the hall."Roig said she just tried to stay strong for her students, but she didn't think they would make it out of the classroom alive."I
thought we were all going to die," she said through tears. "I told the
kids I love them and I was so happy they were my students... I said
anyone who believed in the power of the prayer, we need to pray and
those who don't believe in prayer" think happy thoughts.Throughout the ordeal, Roig said her students were being very good and she tried to remain positive for them."They
asked, 'Can we go see if anyone is out there... I just want
Christmas... I don't want to die, I just want to have Christmas," she
said.The gunfire didn't last very long, Roig said, but even when
it stopped, she refused to take the kids out of the bathroom. When she
heard knocking on the door a little while later, she said heard voices
saying they were police officers, but she refused to open the door.
Scared it was the gunman trying to lure them out, Roig told them to
slide their badges under the bathroom door to prove their identities."I
didn't believe them," she said. "I told them if they were cops, they
could get the key... They did and then unlocked the bathroom."Students
who spoke to ABC News Radio told more stories of teachers who protected
them during the shooting rampage. One 9-year-old boy said his class
heard "a lot of bangs" and at first they thought a custodian had
"knocked stuff down." Then they heard screaming.
"Police came in, said like 'Is he in here?' Then he ran out and then our teacher, somebody, yelled, 'get to a safe place.' So we went to the closet in the gym," the boy said. "The police were like knocking on the door and they're like 'we're evacuating people, we're evacuating people,' so we ran out." After the police got Roig and her class out of their room, she said she and the children were taken to the nearby fire station, which had been set up as a staging area for parents to come pick up their kids.That fire house, where Christmas wreaths and poinsettias are for sale, has been turned into a place of grief where frantic parents were either reuniting with their children or learning that their children are dead, or were still waiting for word.Children stared wide-eyed as they watched state police troopers in body armor, holding raised rifles, quickly rush to secure the scene at their school. Parents said they had never been so panicked. One father, hoping to preserve a semblance of innocence, shielded his son's eyes with his forearm.Wasik's mother said she found out about a shooting through the school's alert system, which sent her a message about a lockdown, and is still in disbelief."It just doesn't seem real," she said. "It feels like a nightmare. You drop your kids at school, hugs and kisses, have a good day, I'll see you later and see you at the end of the day and you never know… in 20 minutes from now what's going to happen. And you count your blessings everyday for what you have."

The attacker, identified by law enforcement sources as Adam Lanza, opened fire on Friday morning at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, which teaches children aged 5 to 10. The shooter killed 26 people before turning the gun on himself, and was suspected of killing another person before the massacre.
"Our investigators at the crime scene ... did produce some very good evidence in this investigation that our investigators will be able to use in, hopefully, painting the complete picture as to how - and more importantly why - this occurred," Connecticut State Police Lieutenant Paul Vance told a news conference.
The shooting has tormented the town of Newtown, once listed as the fifth-safest city in the America but now in crisis.
Yale-New Haven Hospital opened a crisis-intervention center in the wealthy suburb of 27,000 people about 80 miles from New York City. By mid-morning about 50 cars were parked outside. A sign warned media to stay away.
"If healing can come some day, that's what I want to ask God to do," said Andrea Jaeger, who placed a small candle at the makeshift memorial for the victims at the entrance to the school's driveway on Saturday morning. "Children's lives were lost and that's something we all feel."
The tragedy moved President Barack Obama to tears on national television on Friday and rattled a country that has grown accustomed to mass shootings, but not with victims so young. It also stood to revive a debate about U.S. gun laws.
"The kids who died were in two first-grade classrooms (6-year-olds)," said Mary Ann Jacob, a library clerk who described leading children out of danger during the shooting.
Vance, the police spokesman, declined to describe the evidence gathered about the shooter's motives but did say the gunman forced his way into the school, as opposed to being let in.
Crime-scene investigators worked through the night and moved the bodies to the state medical examiner's office for autopsies, police said in a statement. Victims' names had yet to be released.
The adult woman found at the secondary crime scene was related to the shooter, a police news release said, and many media outlets have reported it was the shooter's mother, Nancy Lanza.
POLICE INVESTIGATE THE GUNS
Nancy Lanza legally owned a Sig Sauer and a Glock, both handguns of models commonly used by police, and a military-style Bushmaster .223 M4 carbine, according to law enforcement officials who also believe Adam Lanza used at least some of those weapons.
"We're investigating the history of each and every weapon and we will know every single thing about those weapons," Vance said.
Nancy Lanza was an avid gun collector who once showed him a "really nice, high-end rifle" that she had purchased, said Dan Holmes, owner of a landscaping business who recently decorated her yard with Christmas garlands and lights. "She said she would often go target shooting with her kids."
Vance pointedly urged the news media to leave alone the families of the shooting victims and said a police officer had been assigned to each family "to help to maintain that solitude."
Former classmates of the shooter remembered him as a quiet loner - someone who dressed more formally than other students, often wearing khaki pants, button-down shirts and at times, a pocket protector.
"(His mother) pushed him really hard to be smarter and work harder in school," said Tim Arnone, 20, who first met Lanza at Sandy Hook.
Newtown was ranked the fifth safest city in America by the website NeighborhoodScout.com based on 2011 crime statistics.
"This wonderful town that we all love for its peace, beauty, the great schools - all of that - has become Columbine," said Julie Maxwell Shull, a sixth-grade teacher at Reed Intermediate School, referring to the high school that was site of a 1999 shooting in Colorado.
"We came here because it was going to be a good, safe community for our kids, said Catherine Hunyadi, as she and her husband wiped tears from their eyes. "You don't send your kids to school thinking something like this might happen."
Obama on Saturday urged Americans to join in solidarity as they mourned the victims, saying the hearts of parents across the country were "heavy with hurt."
Obama, in his weekly radio and Internet address, called for "meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this," but stopped short of specifically calling for tighter gun-control laws.
The president wiped away tears in a television address on Friday, telling the nation, "Our hearts are broken."
The holiday season tragedy was the second shooting rampage in the United States this week and the latest in a series of mass killings this year.
It revived a debate about gun-control in a country with a flourishing firearms culture and a strong lobby that has discouraged most politicians from any major efforts to address the easy availability of guns and ammunition.
The death toll exceeded that of one of the most notorious U.S. school shootings, the 1999 rampage at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, where two teenagers murdered 13 students and staff before killing themselves.

WASHINGTON (AP) - A law enforcement official says the suspect in theConnecticut school shootings is 20-year-old Adam Lanza, the son of a teacher at the school where the shootings occurred. A second law enforcement official says the boy's mother, Nancy Lanza, is presumed dead. The first official says Adam Lanza's older brother, 24-year-old Ryan, of Hoboken, N.J., is being questioned by police. An earlier report from a law enforcement official mistakenly transposed the brothers' first names. Both officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record about the developing criminal investigation. The first official said Adam Lanza is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Beijing: The dreaded attacks on school children returned to haunt China
on Thursday after 22 of them were injured besides an 85-year-old woman
after a "mentally deranged" man, armed with a knife, went on a slashing
spree at a primary school.
Armed with a knife Min Yingjun, 36 attacked group of children at the gate of a primary school in central China's Henan Province setting off panic in the village. The woman and most of the injured students suffered head wounds.
Some of them were in shock, according to the People's Hospital of the county, which received most of the people injured in the attack.
All the injured people have been sent to three local hospitals and at least two of them, one student and an 85-year-old woman, are in serious condition, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
The attack took place this morning at the entrance of Chenpeng Village Primary School in Wenshu Township of Guangshan County in the city of Xinyang.
Local police said they had detained Min, stated to be mentally deranged person. Min burst into the 85-year-old woman's house, located next to the school and went baresark after an argument, according to the daughter of the old woman. Liu is said to have seized a knife at the house and attacked the elderly woman. He then left, rushed into the school campus and slashed students, according to villagers.
The suspect was unknown in the village and might be mentally ill, some villagers said.
"I want to go home," cried a 7-year-old student surnamed Wei, who arrived at the hospital in a serious condition with a skull fracture.
The boy's coat was stained with blood and he was quite scared after being wounded, according to the boy's relatives.
China has been experiencing the school attacks in different places for some time. Dubbed as social revenge attacks by frustrated people marginalised by China's rapid development in recent years, the attackers mainly targeted school children to make maximum impact.
A number of attackers have already been given executed after courts gave them death sentences.
After several such attacks since 2010, the government has ordered all schools to beef-up security and the official media stopped reporting the incidents to avoid copy-cat imitations.

"For healing," St. Philip Episcopal Youth Director, Anthony Thompson said. "Strength for the family and for the souls of those kids who lost their lives at such an early age."A father himself, Thompson was moved by the way parents and teachers came together after such a horrific event."As we move on from what happened here, what happened to so many people, let it not turn into something that defines us but something that inspires us to be better, more compassionate and more humble people," said Robert Parker, father of Emilie Parker, one of the children killed.Those few words hit home for Thompson and St. Philip Episcopal Father Karl Ruttan."Our faith, our hope will not be defeated," Fr. First,
let me offer my praise to our teachers and school staff. They became
first responders to unimaginable chaos and violence. Their actions
under fire to protect the children inspire us all. Equally inspiring
was the courage of our children in helping their classmates.Our
police, fire, and emergency medical personnel reacted quickly and
without hesitation, rapidly responding to Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Their professionalism was heartwarming to witness; our community is
proud of them.
I
appreciate the many area police departments and the Connecticut State
Police, who have provide immediate assistance in our time of need. The
unconditional support of the law enforcement community as we investigate
and recover has been overwhelming.
Processing
multiple crime scenes in Newtown, conducting countless interviews, and
analyzing all of the evidence is very daunting and time-consuming task.
Newtown Police Officers are working with state and federal authorities
to thoroughly and professionally analyze all aspects of this crime as we

Days before the Connecticut
shooting rampage, the boyfriend of Rachel D'Avino had asked her parents
for permission to marry her.D'Avino was a behavioral therapist who had
only recently started working
at the school where she was killed, according to Lissa Lovetere Stone, a
friend who is handling her funeral planned for Friday. D'Avino's
boyfriend, Anthony Cerritelli, planned to ask her to marry him on
Christmas Eve, Lovetere Stone said.Lovetere Stone said she met D'Avino
in 2005 when D'Avino was assigned to
her son, who has autism, in their town of Bethlehem. D'Avino, 29, was
so dedicated she'd make home visits and constantly offered guidance on
handling situations such as helping her son deal with loud music at a
wedding."Her job didn't end when the school bell rang at 3 o'clock,"
Lovetere Stone said.Police told her family that she shielded one of the
students during the rampage, Lovetere Stone said."I'm heartbroken. I'm

ADAM LANZAS MURDER RAMPAGE AT NEWTOWN CONNECTICUT SANDY HOOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.ITS REPORTED ADAM LANZA HAD AUTISM.
WHAT WE KNOW
-The possible motive was the day before the shooting THU Dec 13,12.Adam and three of the 6 dead Adults killed on Friday had a confrontation of some sort.I never heard what the confrontation was about,but this probably got Adam so mad,he snapped and decided hes going after them the next day.I figure he had the confrontation with the Principal,the Physchologist and Rachael (D'Avino was a behavioral therapist).We will find out when the Police give us their motive if i was on the right track with this one.But he had Autism so I figure these 3 would be dealing with Adam.
Since Rachael was just new to the school,and maybe somehow got to know Nancy Lanza.Maybe Nancy wanted to try to get help for Adam.But he refused and wanted nothing to do with it.If the 3 did have a confrontation about the situation.It would probably be about him attending special classes in the School or something like that.And Adam might only let Rachael help with him at his place only.He wanted nothing to do with classes at the School.And this situation could have set off a confrontation and Adams inside rage.
-Adam Killed his Mother Sometime before 9:30 AM fri Dec 14,12.
-Adam goes to Sandy Hook and parks his car near the Front Door of Sandy Hook in the Parking lot.
-Adam shoots out the front door or breaks the window with something.
-So we know Adam broke the window.So it was at least 9:31AM when Adam broke the window because the way the alarm system was set up at Sandy Hook.The doors automatically lock at 9:30AM when school starts.And after its locked.You need to ring so you can get in from the Office i presume.And your face is on camera so they know who you are.
-Reports says as soon as he broke in the teachers and students start hearing pop,pop,popping sounds.
-Instantly the office members-The Principal,Vice Principal and Phsychologist go in the hall to see whats going on.The Principal and the Phsychologist were shot and killed.The Vice Principal was shot in the Arm and leg went running back into the Office.There was 600 Students and 50 faculty members in the school at the time.
-Adam must have came in just after 9:31AM or in that area of the Hall there would not have been some children or Adults.
-We know this all happened near the front door of the School were the 1ST grade classes and the Office was.And there must be a Washroom in that area because we know some of the children were huddled in that washroom when they were shot and killed.In a press Conference the Officer said it happened in one section of the school in two rooms.
-At 9:41AM the 911 calls started coming into Police.
-We know Adam shot in the hallway.So i am just speculating here.He must have shot the Adults first as the Office was right near the Main Door.
-Adam must have seen Children from one of the grade 1 classes escaping the gunfire by going into the washroom in the area.
-Now today Sun we just Find out that it was Lauren Rousseau's first grade class that Adam Lanza first entered.Lauren was just at Sandy Hook 6 weeks.And Lauren just became a fulltime teacher.So it must have been Laurens room were most of the Children were killed and some of them probably escaped and went in the Hallway washroom and Adam then went in and killed them.We will see when the Official timeline comes out.Now we know no one was killed in the hall washroom.Forteen of the fifteen children died in this class.One child pretended she was dead and survived.
-The Medical Examiner said the killings were all up close and personal in all the 20 dead children who had from 3 to 11 bullets in their precious little bodies.
-Then Adam went to Grade 1 class Vicki Sotos class.all speculation on my part.And by news reports-Adam shot Vicki who told Adam there is no Children in this class as Vicki told the children to hide before he came in the room and killed her.Reports have it.But as Adam was killing Vicki,the Children came out of hiding oviously and wanted to get out of the class.And Miraculasly one child held the door open for some or the rest of the children from the class and they escaped out the front door.We do not know if all the children made it out or not.But my guess is not all the Children did make it out.We now know in Vickis room 7 children escaped and probably here is were the 6 children got shot in the washroom.
-I should add here that someone opened the office microphone so the whole school knew,something was going on but they did not know exactly what.They just knew they heard gunshots and screaming going on.
-We know by reports that once the Police came on the scene.Adam killed himself.And it was probably in Vicki Sotos room is my guess as we know he never shot himself in the washroom.
-We know 2 children were taken to hospital after the Police came on the scene.As latter on in the afternoon we were told 2 children died in the Hospital.And the third one taken to the Hospital injured was a parent of one of the teachers reports said.She was not killed and i am not sure if shes out of Hospital yet as of SUN DEC 16,12 2:45PM.
-It was reported by the Medical Examiner that all the deaths were from a Riffle,Not the 2 Hand guns that were by the dead killer.
-As reported falsely Adams Mother Nancy never worked at Sandy Hook.
-Adams Brother Ryan was takin in for questioning.But he was set free after that.
-Adam Killed his Mother Nancy Lanza at His or Her home in Newtown Connecticut.Before he Killed the OTHER 26 Children and Adults at Sandy Hook School.
-Ryan Lanza lives in New Jersey,not in Newtown Connecticut.

-Adam wanted to go in the Army.But Adam had phobias about being touched and going places.Nancy was disapppointed with Adam.
-Adam was into computers and Nancy was ok with leaving him alone for a couple of days at a time.

school that one teacher doubted that she and her young students, locked
in a bathroom, were going to survive.A third grade student said the kids were so scared she thought she was going to throw up. Another said he hid in a closet.The
gunfire erupted during first grade teacher Kaitlin Roig's morning
meeting with her 14 students, what she called "a happy, amazing part of
the day."That day quickly turned into a nightmare."Suddenly,
I heard rapid fire... like an assault weapon. I knew something was
wrong," Roig, 29, told "World News" anchor Diane Sawyer."It was horrific," she said. "I didn't think we were going to live."Alexis
Wasik, an 8-year-old third grader, was startled when she heard someone
rapidly firing off rounds inside another classroom. At first, she didn't
know what was going on, but then she began to hear the sirens wail."We
heard an ambulance and police officer come and everyone was a little
scared crying and I felt actually a little sick and like I was going to
throw up," she said. "Kids were crying, not really like screaming, but
they were all huddling together. They felt so sick."It was 9:41
a.m. when the first 911 call came into Connecticut State Police that
multiple students at Sandy Hook Elementary School were locked in a
classroom with a gunman. Adam Lanza killed 20 students and six adults at
the school.When the shooting began, Roig said she quickly got
up and closed her classroom door and ushered the children, all aged 6
and 7, into the class bathroom. She helped some climb onto the toilet so
they could all fit. Roig said she then pushed a wheeled storage unit in
front of the door."We all got in there. I locked us in," she
said. "I don't know if [the gunman] came in the room... I just told them
we have to be absolutely quiet.""If they started crying, I
would take their face and tell them, 'It's going to be OK,'" Roig
continued. "I wanted that to be the last thing they heard, not the
gunfire in the hall."Roig said she just tried to stay strong for her students, but she didn't think they would make it out of the classroom alive."I
thought we were all going to die," she said through tears. "I told the
kids I love them and I was so happy they were my students... I said
anyone who believed in the power of the prayer, we need to pray and
those who don't believe in prayer" think happy thoughts.Throughout the ordeal, Roig said her students were being very good and she tried to remain positive for them."They
asked, 'Can we go see if anyone is out there... I just want
Christmas... I don't want to die, I just want to have Christmas," she
said.The gunfire didn't last very long, Roig said, but even when
it stopped, she refused to take the kids out of the bathroom. When she
heard knocking on the door a little while later, she said heard voices
saying they were police officers, but she refused to open the door.
Scared it was the gunman trying to lure them out, Roig told them to
slide their badges under the bathroom door to prove their identities."I
didn't believe them," she said. "I told them if they were cops, they
could get the key... They did and then unlocked the bathroom."Students
who spoke to ABC News Radio told more stories of teachers who protected
them during the shooting rampage. One 9-year-old boy said his class
heard "a lot of bangs" and at first they thought a custodian had
"knocked stuff down." Then they heard screaming."Police came in, said like 'Is he in here?' Then he ran out and then our teacher, somebody, yelled, 'get to a safe place.' So we went to the closet in the gym," the boy said. "The police were like knocking on the door and they're like 'we're evacuating people, we're evacuating people,' so we ran out." After the police got Roig and her class out of their room, she said she and the children were taken to the nearby fire station, which had been set up as a staging area for parents to come pick up their kids.That fire house, where Christmas wreaths and poinsettias are for sale, has been turned into a place of grief where frantic parents were either reuniting with their children or learning that their children are dead, or were still waiting for word.Children stared wide-eyed as they watched state police troopers in body armor, holding raised rifles, quickly rush to secure the scene at their school. Parents said they had never been so panicked. One father, hoping to preserve a semblance of innocence, shielded his son's eyes with his forearm.Wasik's mother said she found out about a shooting through the school's alert system, which sent her a message about a lockdown, and is still in disbelief."It just doesn't seem real," she said. "It feels like a nightmare. You drop your kids at school, hugs and kisses, have a good day, I'll see you later and see you at the end of the day and you never know… in 20 minutes from now what's going to happen. And you count your blessings everyday for what you have."

I am looking forward to sharing an exciting and fulfilling year with my students! This is my fifth year at SHS in First Grade. I can't wait to share my love of reading and writing with my students. I am passionate about learning and believe that there must be continual growth, both for myself, as well as, for my students.
This summer I traveled all over, read many new books and ran a lot! I also taught summer school and read many new books with students! I have many new, exciting ideas for the school year! When Adam Lanza stormed into Victoria Soto's first-grade classroom,
he was armed with semi-automatic weapons with which he had already
killed 20 small children. She had only her courage, and her instinct to
protect her class.Ms Soto, 27, faced the killer, and saved her children. Accounts of
what happened differ. One, posted on Tumblr by a friend, says that she
had bundled the class into a large closet, and told the gunman that they
had gone to the gym. Another says she was found huddled over the
children. Either way, Lanza shot her, and then turned the gun on
himself. Her cousin, Jim Wiltsie, told ABC News: "I'm just proud that
Vicki had the instincts to protect her kids from harm. It brings peace
to know that Vicki was doing what she loved, protecting the children,
and in our eyes she's a hero."She is not the only one. If anybody
wanted to know the kind of people who become teachers, they need only
read of the bravery of the staff at Sandy Hook Elementary School. It
starts with the principal, Dawn Hochsprung, who had the presence of mind
to turn on the school intercom, broadcasting screaming and gunshots
into every classroom, so that others had to time to take cover. "That
saved a lot of people," said one teacher Theodore Varga, who survived
the massacre.Ms Hochsprung was in a meeting with a parent and
senior staff when Lanza began shooting nearby. At the sound of gunshots
and screaming, some in her office dived for cover, but Ms Hochsprung and
the school's psychologist, Mary Sherlach, 56, ran out to confront
Lanza, shouting back to the others to lock the door. They were both shot
dead, Ms Hochsprung as she lunged at the killer.Ms Sherlach was
preparing to retire, having helped hundreds of students go through
family break-ups, bullying and events that – until Friday – had been the
toughest moments of their young lives. While others hid, she and the
principal ran towards the danger. The school therapist Diane Day, who
was in the meeting, said: "They didn't think twice about confronting
[him] or seeing what was going on." Without a lock to secure the door,
another teacher at the meeting used her body to hold it shut, and was
shot in the leg and arm through the door.Maryrose Kristopik, a
music teacher at the school, kept 20 children safe by barricading them
into a closet. Even when the gunman battered on the door screaming: "Let
me in! Let me in!" she kept her nerve and blocked the door with her own
body. Mrs Kristopik said: "I did take the children into the closet and
talked with them to keep them quiet. I told them that I loved them. I
said there was a bad person in the school. I didn't want to tell them
anything past that."One door had several instruments, including
big xylophones, blocking it and she stood in front of the other holding
it firm. "I was just trying to be as strong as possible," she said. "I
was thinking about the children. I told them that we had to keep quiet
and we were hiding and nobody knew we were there. Of course I was afraid
too. I wanted them to be quiet, I thought it was a pretty secure,
out-of-the-way place." She led her children out only when she heard the
gunshots had stopped. Brenda Lebinski said her eight-year-old daughter
was safe thanks to the teacher's actions. "My daughter's teacher is my
hero," Ms Lebinski said. "She locked all the kids in a closet and that
saved their lives."Large windows left teacher Kaitlin Roig's
classroom exposed, so she huddled 15 children into a tiny bathroom when
she first heard gunshots. The 29-year-old locked the door and pulled a
bookshelf across it. She said it was a struggle to get all the pupils in
but she knew it was their only option. "I put one of my students on top
of the toilet. I just knew we had to get in there. I was just telling
them they were going to be OK," she told ABC News. "I told them we had

hear us he would just shoot at the door. I said there are bad guys out
there now. We need to wait for the good guys."Thinking these
might be their last moments alive, she assumed the role of a parent. "I
said, 'I need you to know that I love you all very much and it's going
to be OK'. Because I thought we were all going to die. I wanted them to
know someone loved them and I wanted that to be the last thing they
heard." When the police arrived to tell them it was safe to come out, Ms
Roig was so frightened she made them put their badges under the door so
she could be sure it was them. Only then did she lead the children out

hand out – because the lock is on the outside – and then come back into

It remains unknown exactly what caused Adam Lanza to go on the

committed may lead to more answers as to a possible motive for the
crime.The elementary school teacher was allegedly looking into putting her
son Adam in a psychiatric facility, according to acquaintances of the
family.Joshua Flashman, a 25-year-old resident of Newtown who grew up near
the school, said that Lanza knew about his mother's wishes to have him
committed and this troubled her son."From what I've been told, Adam was aware of her petitioning the
court for conservatorship and (her) plans to have him committed,"
Flashman said, as reported by Fox News.
"Adam was apparently very upset about this. He thought she just wanted
to send him away. From what I understand, he was really, really angry. I
think this could have been it, what set him off."It's unknown if Nancy had filed paperwork to get her adult son
committed to a hospital or psych ward against his will as any records
would be sealed.The 20-year-old gunman was also apparently jealous of the time his
mother spent at the school and the attention he got from her. Adam

(Reuters) - Investigators assembled "some very good evidence" to explain
what drove a 20-year-old gunman to slaughter 20 children and six adults
at an elementary school, police said on Saturday, a day after one of
the worst mass shootings in U.S. history shattered a small Connecticut
town.The attacker, identified by law enforcement sources as Adam Lanza, opened fire on Friday morning at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, which teaches children aged 5 to 10. The shooter killed 26 people before turning the gun on himself, and was suspected of killing another person before the massacre.
"Our investigators at the crime scene ... did produce some very good evidence in this investigation that our investigators will be able to use in, hopefully, painting the complete picture as to how - and more importantly why - this occurred," Connecticut State Police Lieutenant Paul Vance told a news conference.
The shooting has tormented the town of Newtown, once listed as the fifth-safest city in the America but now in crisis.
Yale-New Haven Hospital opened a crisis-intervention center in the wealthy suburb of 27,000 people about 80 miles from New York City. By mid-morning about 50 cars were parked outside. A sign warned media to stay away.
"If healing can come some day, that's what I want to ask God to do," said Andrea Jaeger, who placed a small candle at the makeshift memorial for the victims at the entrance to the school's driveway on Saturday morning. "Children's lives were lost and that's something we all feel."
The tragedy moved President Barack Obama to tears on national television on Friday and rattled a country that has grown accustomed to mass shootings, but not with victims so young. It also stood to revive a debate about U.S. gun laws.
"The kids who died were in two first-grade classrooms (6-year-olds)," said Mary Ann Jacob, a library clerk who described leading children out of danger during the shooting.
Vance, the police spokesman, declined to describe the evidence gathered about the shooter's motives but did say the gunman forced his way into the school, as opposed to being let in.
Crime-scene investigators worked through the night and moved the bodies to the state medical examiner's office for autopsies, police said in a statement. Victims' names had yet to be released.
The adult woman found at the secondary crime scene was related to the shooter, a police news release said, and many media outlets have reported it was the shooter's mother, Nancy Lanza.
POLICE INVESTIGATE THE GUNS
Nancy Lanza legally owned a Sig Sauer and a Glock, both handguns of models commonly used by police, and a military-style Bushmaster .223 M4 carbine, according to law enforcement officials who also believe Adam Lanza used at least some of those weapons.
"We're investigating the history of each and every weapon and we will know every single thing about those weapons," Vance said.
Nancy Lanza was an avid gun collector who once showed him a "really nice, high-end rifle" that she had purchased, said Dan Holmes, owner of a landscaping business who recently decorated her yard with Christmas garlands and lights. "She said she would often go target shooting with her kids."
Vance pointedly urged the news media to leave alone the families of the shooting victims and said a police officer had been assigned to each family "to help to maintain that solitude."
Former classmates of the shooter remembered him as a quiet loner - someone who dressed more formally than other students, often wearing khaki pants, button-down shirts and at times, a pocket protector.
"(His mother) pushed him really hard to be smarter and work harder in school," said Tim Arnone, 20, who first met Lanza at Sandy Hook.
Newtown was ranked the fifth safest city in America by the website NeighborhoodScout.com based on 2011 crime statistics.
"This wonderful town that we all love for its peace, beauty, the great schools - all of that - has become Columbine," said Julie Maxwell Shull, a sixth-grade teacher at Reed Intermediate School, referring to the high school that was site of a 1999 shooting in Colorado.
"We came here because it was going to be a good, safe community for our kids, said Catherine Hunyadi, as she and her husband wiped tears from their eyes. "You don't send your kids to school thinking something like this might happen."
Obama on Saturday urged Americans to join in solidarity as they mourned the victims, saying the hearts of parents across the country were "heavy with hurt."
Obama, in his weekly radio and Internet address, called for "meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this," but stopped short of specifically calling for tighter gun-control laws.
The president wiped away tears in a television address on Friday, telling the nation, "Our hearts are broken."
The holiday season tragedy was the second shooting rampage in the United States this week and the latest in a series of mass killings this year.
It revived a debate about gun-control in a country with a flourishing firearms culture and a strong lobby that has discouraged most politicians from any major efforts to address the easy availability of guns and ammunition.
The death toll exceeded that of one of the most notorious U.S. school shootings, the 1999 rampage at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, where two teenagers murdered 13 students and staff before killing themselves.

Authorities say at least 26 people, including 18 children, were killed
Friday when a gunman clad in black military gear opened fire inside a
Connecticut elementary school.A law enforcement official said the
shooter, who is dead, was from New Jersey and had ties to Sandy Hook
Elementary School in Newtown. Authorities recovered a Glock and Sig
Sauer 9mm handgun, but it was unclear who killed the shooter, who wore
black combat garb and a military vest.Local news outlets report that the
shooting occurred inside a kindergarten classroom, and that all the
pupils in that classroom are unaccounted for.
An official with knowledge of the situation said the 20-year-old gunman, whose name has not been released, also had a .223-caliber rifle. The motive is not yet known.Police are also questioning another man in connection with the shooting. Witnesses told the Connecticut Post that a handcuffed man, dressed in camouflage, was led out of a nearby woods by officers. Shortly after 9:40 a.m., authorities reported that a shooter was in the main office of the school. A person in one room had "numerous gunshot wounds," police told the Hartford Courant.A dispatcher at the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps said a teacher was shot in the foot and taken to Danbury Hospital. Local news outlets also reported that the principal was among those shot. Parent Lisa Procaccini told Fox News that her daughter was sitting in a classroom when she and others heard gun shots.
"She was in a small class -- a reading group and they started hearing bangs," Procaccini said. "Her teacher, and I’m grateful for this, rushed kids into the bathroom and locked the door. They told kids it was hammering and tried to keep them calm.”"Children were crying," Procaccini said. "She did tell me about a little boy that was in a police officer’s arms, bleeding. I don’t know if she gets it."The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said two firearms were recovered from the scene. President Obama was notified of the shooting around 10:30 am ET, White House officials said.
The Newtown School District has locked down schools as a preventive measure to ensure the safety of students and staff.A statement on the district's website stated that afternoon kindergarten classes have been canceled.The elementary school has close to 700 students.

Armed with a knife Min Yingjun, 36 attacked group of children at the gate of a primary school in central China's Henan Province setting off panic in the village. The woman and most of the injured students suffered head wounds.
Some of them were in shock, according to the People's Hospital of the county, which received most of the people injured in the attack.
All the injured people have been sent to three local hospitals and at least two of them, one student and an 85-year-old woman, are in serious condition, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
The attack took place this morning at the entrance of Chenpeng Village Primary School in Wenshu Township of Guangshan County in the city of Xinyang.
Local police said they had detained Min, stated to be mentally deranged person. Min burst into the 85-year-old woman's house, located next to the school and went baresark after an argument, according to the daughter of the old woman. Liu is said to have seized a knife at the house and attacked the elderly woman. He then left, rushed into the school campus and slashed students, according to villagers.
"I want to go home," cried a 7-year-old student surnamed Wei, who arrived at the hospital in a serious condition with a skull fracture.
The boy's coat was stained with blood and he was quite scared after being wounded, according to the boy's relatives.
China has been experiencing the school attacks in different places for some time. Dubbed as social revenge attacks by frustrated people marginalised by China's rapid development in recent years, the attackers mainly targeted school children to make maximum impact.
A number of attackers have already been given executed after courts gave them death sentences.
After several such attacks since 2010, the government has ordered all schools to beef-up security and the official media stopped reporting the incidents to avoid copy-cat imitations.
