DOCTOR DOCTORIAN FROM ANGEL OF GOD
then the angel said, Financial crisis will come to Asia. I will shake the world.

JAMES 5:1-3
1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

REVELATION 18:10,17,19
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

EZEKIEL 7:19
19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

REVELATION 13:16-18
16 And he(FALSE POPE) causeth all,(WORLD SOCIALISM) both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:(CHIP IMPLANT)
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.(6-6-6) A NUMBER SYSTEM

New Year speeches voice fears on future of Europe
Today JAN 2,12 @ 18:08 By Andrew Rettman

BRUSSELS - EU leaders have said in their festive messages the single currency is still at risk unless they take decisive action. For her part, German Chancellor Angela Merkel noted that the danger coincides with the 10th birthday of the now-familiar red, blue and brown banknotes with their little motifs of EU maps and Romanesque or Gothic windows. In a few hours it will be exactly 10 years since many of us at just around midnight withdrew our first euros from a bank machine. Since then, the euro has made our lives easier and our economy stronger, she said on national TV on 31 December. She linked the fate of the currency to the fate of the Union itself. We must never forget that the peaceful unification of our continent is a historic gift. It has given us over half a century of peace, freedom, justice, human rights and democracy ... You can rest assured that I will do everything I can to strengthen the euro. But this will only succeed if Europe draws lessons from past mistakes. One is that a common currency can only be truly successful if we work together more than ever in Europe. Her lesson on working together comes ahead of intergovernmental negotiations on a new treaty that will transform the Union into an economic federation with one central authority deciding how member states spend their money. A working group comprising of diplomats and parliamentary observers is set to resume talks on Friday (6 December).French President Nicolas Sarkozy used more alarming language.

This extraordinary crisis, without doubt the most serious one since World War II, this crisis is not over ... To get out of it, to construct a new model of growth, to give birth to a new Europe - these are just some of the challenges which await us,he said. The theme was repeated all around the continent.Greek Prime Minister Lucas Papademos said he will fight not to change the crisis into an irregular, catastrophic collapse, to remain in the euro.Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga urged fortitude no matter how radical the scenario which occurs.Estonian President Toomas Ilves warned: We have no idea whether Europe, coveted by us for so long, will bring us salvation or vexation.Leaders warned there will be more spending cuts, more taxes, less welfare and a growing threat to liberal values. The fat years are behind us. We must prepare ourselves for some lean years,Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt, who took over the rotating EU presidency on 1 January, said.Amid a rise in far-right movements in several EU countries, she noted that the Denmark we love is a country for the many and not for the few. It is a country based on diversity.Merkel also devoted a large part of her speech to condemning a neo-Nazi fraternity exposed in December for having murdered nine people of Turkish and Greek origin in recent years. It is our duty to defend the values of our open and free society, she said. The New Year's messages voiced optimism the euro will pull through. But the villains of the crisis - bankers and profligate former leaders - got bloody noses despite the festive season.Italian President Giorgio Napolitano described ex-prime-minister Silvio Berlusconi's legacy as one of corruption and parasitism, of widespread lawlessness and even criminal pollution ... [of] massive and unjustifiable tax evasion.Sarkozy told bankers they will be made to repair the damage they have done ... It's a question of justice. It's a question of morality. A tax on financial transactions must be put into force. And even British leader David Cameron - who just three weeks ago shocked the Union by vetoing an EU Treaty change in the name of protecting London's financial markets - fell in with the popular mood.
While a few at the top get rewards that seem to have nothing to do with the risks they take or the effort they put in, many others are stuck on benefits, without hope or responsibility. So we will tackle excess in the City just as we're reforming welfare to make work pay and to support families,he said.

The coming war inside America January 2, 2012 By Director By Douglas J. Hagmann

As the attention of most Americans was captivated by the shiny object in Times Square this weekend like infants fixated on car keys dangled in front of them, Barack Hussein Obama signed into law H.R. 1540, better known as the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Regardless of any concurrent executive signing statements that are mere window dressing and not legally binding, Obama and every member of congress who crafted and voted for this act has essentially declared war on American citizens on U.S. soil.To quote Rush Limbaugh, words mean things. As a career investigator, I can assure you that words contained in local, state and federal laws most certainly mean things, and provide the legal authority for conduct sanctioned by national or state authorities without regard to any promised judicial or prosecutorial discretion that could be likened to the signing statement. The NDAA now codifies the most controversial aspects of the Patriot Act, which candidate Obama publicly opposed. What changed?

Greasing the slope

Any person of reasonable sensibilities should be raising a multitude of questions upon considering the current and historical conduct of the executive and legislative branches of our government. It was the attack on 9/11 that ostensibly paved the way for the Bush administration to craft the USA PATRIOT Act, which was signed into law by congress on October 26, 2001. That legislation broadened law enforcement powers well beyond the rights granted to Americans by the U.S. Constitution. While many of the provisions contained in the PATRIOT Act were scheduled to end on December 31, 2005, the U.S. Senate passed a reauthorization bill containing numerous changes in July 2005, and the House of Representatives submitted a bill that kept most of the original bill intact. The largely unchanged bill passed congressional vote on March 2, 2006 and was signed into law by George W. Bush.Although the PATRIOT Act has gone through various subsequent incarnations, congress crafted and Obama signed a four-year extension last May, extending certain key provisions that particularly focused on businesses in the U.S. It is important to note that the manner and methods in which the U.S. government interprets and carries out the provisions of the PATRIOT Act are classified and kept secret from the American public, an issue rarely addressed by politicians or pundits. Why the secrecy?

Continuity of agenda

One must also question the obvious continuity of agenda from the Bush administration to the Obama administration, and from the congress seated in 2001 through today. Despite pro-Constitutional campaign rhetoric from both Republicans and Democrats, and the rapid acquiescence of some TEA party candidates who now occupy seats of power, it is obvious that the rights of Americans granted by the very Constitution elected officials swore to uphold are under attack. Why the change? As one looks at the larger picture, pieces of the puzzle seems to become more recognizable.

The move toward globalism

Once thought to be the fanciful designs of the conspiracy minded, there appears to be an acceleration toward one world governance, or the infamous New World Order. It is an agenda that has been in place for decades, yet the politically myopic and the agent facilitators deliberately avoid any discussion of its existence. Exposure of this agenda has been hobbled by the merger of major news organizations into a half-dozen corporations who control what is reported. Even many who present themselves as purveyors of the truth decline to discuss the globalist agenda, or are held hostage by big money contracts with editorial stipulations and controls. While the attacks of 9/11 paved the way for passage of the PATRIOT Act, what could explain the draconian legislation contained in the NDAA of 2012? Looking through the prism of current events, those with intellectual honesty can readily see events unfolding that would create conditions to necessitate its implementation.

Controlled economic collapse

Who could have predicted the economic crisis of 2008, just two months before the U.S. presidential election? Nearly everyone who was aware of the agenda of the global elite. The economic crisis of 2008, an incident which the banking elite used the specter of martial law to fund their global operations, landed a financial sucker punch on every American with the approval of congress. Using such phrases as too big to fail, banking giants, facilitated by the Federal Reserve, the U.S. Treasury and members of congress knowingly and deliberately defrauded the American public out of trillions of dollars, much of which remains unaccounted for despite dubious internal financial audit reports. While the corporate media remain lapdogs for the banking and global elite and report recovery on the horizon, the real story has yet to be told by our media and elected officials. There is a controlled demolition of not only our national economy, but the entire world economy. Look at the financial death throes of the European Union, which cannot survive, despite the best fiction from cable news economists to hired to hide the truth from the masses. The consequential social upheaval will not be contained to Europe, nor will the economic apocalypse. Due to the Ponzi scheme created by the globalist bankers and government leaders from the Goldman-Sachs bloodline, Americans will find themselves in financial turmoil unseen in modern history.Perhaps it is for those who cannot seem to take their eyes of the shiny objects, or those who camp out at big box stores for bargains on the latest and greatest electronic gadgets that the NDAA was crafted.Note: For detailed discussion on the signing of the NDAA, tune in to the new Hagmann & Hagmann Report, broadcast live in audio and video format weeknights from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. ET on the Liberty Broadcasting Network. The new show debuts today. For more information, click here.

Dr. Laurie Roth as President will defend all stages of life By LAURIE ROTH(PRES CANDIDATE), on December 31st, 2011

Life is unique, authored by God and to be protected at all stages by the US President. I have written in my articles about the importance of life at all stages many times over the years and have shouted out about this on my radio show. I feel it is time to go even deeper for my readers and the country to know just who Laurie Roth is and what I will do out of conviction if elected President. I don’t plan to play word games.First of all, as President my role will be to defend, as the Declaration of Independence states so clearly, the right to life of ALL people I represent. It is a known scientific fact that life is established and starts growing when the egg is fertilized in the womb. It is not a head of lettuce in the womb but a baby growing. Quickly, in the first few months, the shape of a baby emerges. As it is now, most abortions occur between the 2nd and 4th month. Only God knows in truth how many babies have been literally murdered in the name of choice or Government not controlling my body.We have annihilated at least 40 million babies if not more. That is evil and most shameful.I have been called anti choice many times by abortion supporters over the years. I always have said that I am pro choice. Making a choice for life and doing the right thing is also a choice, a better and moral choice, it is not anti choice.President Obama is the most abortion pushing and supporting President we have ever had. His entire voting record before his election was supportive of Abortion, including Infanticide, not even wanting the baby who survived an abortion attempt to get any medical attention. He voted to just let the baby sit there on the cold table and die.He has made sure in the Obama health care bill, being disputed at the Supreme Court, that paid abortions are also written into this monstrosity. One of the first things Obama did once elected President was to reverse the Mexico City Policy started by Reagan and implemented by Bush. Now we get to support and pay for abortions worldwide.

I intend to answer some questions up front so everyone will know where I stand and what I will do on this critical issue if elected as President.First of all, since scientifically we have established where life actually begins, at fertilization and that the right to life is any person’s right at any age, then my first job is to defend that life and I will. I will stop all federal funding of abortion clinics and aggressively move to shut all abortion clinics down.Gregg Jackson, author of We won’t get fooled again has posted an article at www.greggjackson.com asking key questions for Presidential Candidates to answer. I agree with all his positions in this article. It is high time for the games to stop regarding the protection of life. When does human life begin? At fertilization of the egg.Are pre-born babies persons? Yes, made in the image of God.Does the 14th Amendment apply to pre-born babies? Yes. Since pre born persons are alive they are entitled to the same due process of law and equal protection under the laws’ as all other innocent human persons. It doesn’t matter their size. With all that established, lets go to the ‘mother load’ question’ Gregg Jackson asked that will make 99% of all Presidential candidates run for cover.

Just what will Outsider, Laurie Roth do about abortions going on everywhere? I believe according to the 5th and 14th Amendment, Declaration of Independence and the Holy Bible which defines life, that all abortions state and federal must be stopped. My first move once elected would be to stop the hemorrhaging of the patient. I would call on the states to enforce the 14th amendment and end all abortions in their states.I believe this is not a States Rights issue but is beyond that. It will be my obligation as President to protect all life in the country. The argument isn’t about going back to the 50s and dangerous, private abortion attempts. It is a crime and must be stopped. There are plenty of options for pregnant women to get care and adopt out an unwanted baby. In fact, I would make sure, as the abortion clinics were shut down that many options were supported, funded and available for pregnant women. If the States failed to close the abortion clinics down I would give an executive order closing down all abortion clinics and support the prosecution of all who continue this practice. Finally, regarding this battle I agree with author Greg Jackson’s opinion that the President must stand first with the law of the land, our constitution, declaration and Laws of Nature and Nature’s God.Regardless of what various courts would rule, even the Supreme Court, my obligation as a President would be to lead, not be intimidated into immoral submission by a faulty court ruling.Real leaders in our history with a moral core have ignored unconstitutional rulings, such as Adams and Lincoln. It is time for real leadership on this issue by a President who will support and protect life at all stages.Join me and speak your mind at www.rothrevolution.ning.com and listen into my show at: www.therothshow.com Find out how you can support my candidacy and sign up to volunteer at: www.laurieroth2012.com

A Conservative Voter’s Scorecard
- Daren Jonescu Monday, January 2, 2012 CAN FREE PRESS

http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/43620

The Republican Party has finally arrived at the moment when all the Establishment’s efforts to rig the nominating process in favor of business as usual—in favor of itself—must take a back seat to actual human beings, the voters, who at last get to have their say. And, much to the chagrin of the powers that be, the period during which the voices of voting citizens can make their own case for or against the status quo lasts much longer than the manipulators would have one believe.Iowa is not decisive. New Hampshire is not decisive. None of the early states will be decisive. History shows that all sorts of things can happen after the first two, four, or even ten states, to turn a supposed tide around. (See examples here.)In order for American conservatives—by whom I mean those who regard the U.S. Constitution not as a quaint but antiquated historical document, but rather as a peak in the history of man’s effort to define human freedom in practical terms—to make the best decision for the future of their country, they must make every effort to cut through the haze of hyperbole from the various sub-camps that collectively comprise today’s Washington Establishment.Up to this point, it was perhaps natural to focus on the negative, i.e. to take on the Establishment’s template directly, and to debunk it. But rational criticism, valuable as it is in the face of the mass manipulations of a power-lustful cadre of moneyed interests and their intellectual lapdogs, is never enough. It is not enough to know that something is wrong, or even to know why it is wrong. One must have a clear and forward-looking sense of what is right, and how to achieve it.

With this fact in mind, I humbly offer the following checklist for use by Americans making one of the most important decisions of their political lives. Think of it as a tool for weighing the candidates against one another, or a conservative’s wish list against which real and flawed humans can be judged. For each issue, think about which candidates, in your opinion, measure up to the challenge that the issue presents, in a manner worthy of the gravity of this moment in history. Weigh the issues themselves according to your own priorities, assign points, whatever you like. But consider that none of these issues can be ignored by a voter looking for a candidate who is to have any chance of leading America out of its present existential crisis, and onto a path that just might, with luck and tremendous diligence, avert a final collapse.

1. Does the candidate (hereafter C) understand the seriousness of America’s financial crisis? All Republicans say that spending is out of control, and that taxes are too high. What is needed, however, is someone who is not merely rehashing the party platform of the past hundred years, but who actually speaks to the extraordinary urgency of the current situation; who understands, and is willing to say without qualification, that the coffers are empty, not just today, but for the foreseeable future, and that massive and painful spending cuts, undertaken immediately—and beginning with no budgetary sacred cows—are the only way to stave off a societal catastrophe that would make Greece look like Shangri-La.

2. Does C understand the significant national security threat entailed in allowing an ever-growing, irredeemable debt to be parceled out to Chinese dictators, thus giving said dictators extraordinary leverage in any potential diplomatic dispute (e.g. Taiwan), not to mention interest payments that are, in effect, support payments to the Chinese government and military?

3. Does C have a proven track record of standing up against ruinous fiscal policy, against the U.S. Treasury Department, and, of equal importance in the present climate, against a Republican Establishment which endlessly proves itself unwilling to resist the siren song of cronyism and deficit-laden power-brokering? Or does C display the forked tongue of a conservatism of convenience which is trotted out occasionally to impress the base, only to be buried in the bottom drawer once behind closed doors? That is to say, do you think of C as someone who, rhetoric aside, is prone to vote with today’s party brass, or against it, on major economic policy questions?

4. Does C understand what the Obamacare debate is really about? Every candidate claims to want to repeal the health care law. The question is, why? Obamacare is not just bad policy. It is a pivotal event in the history of the United States—the turn of the ratchet whereby, once and for all, the American principle of individual liberty will be put to bed. If government-run health care is allowed to proceed, the matter of individual rights will no longer even be on the table in future legislative debates. As I have explained in detail here, the principle at stake is much greater than a question of how to provide the best or most affordable health care; even the individual mandate is relatively small potatoes. The question is, Do Americans have a constitutionally protected right to life? If the government determines how, when, and under what conditions, your body will be preserved, then you belong to the state, pure and simple.A candidate who does not grasp how fundamental an issue this is, cannot possibly lead the charge to destroy Obamacare on the necessary moral and constitutional grounds. So I restate the question: Does C understand that the Obamacare debate is, at its heart, an individual rights issue? Or has C shown a lack of basic understanding of the principle involved, perhaps even supporting one or another aspect of government-run health care over the years, on the usual grounds that it creates greater efficiency, solves a health care problem, etc?

5. Where does C stand on anthropogenic global climate change? The time when one could be forgiven on this issue on grounds of insufficient information is long past. Given what is widely known—and has been for years (An Inconvenient Truth was being thoroughly debunked in 2006)—about the science, the history, the advocates, and the advocates’ purposes and proposals on this issue, any public figure who, when asked about it, jumps on the globalist bandwagon (or sofa), or puts on the elevated, pinched tone of the obfuscating agnostic, is not a constitutional conservative.

6. Does C have a sufficient grasp of the international threat of Islamic radicalism? Does C understand that this is not just an Israel issue, but rather that global jihad, which is not restricted to al-Qaeda, is a broader mindset gaining a foothold in many European and African nations? Does C acknowledge the reality of this spreading threat, and its ancient cultural roots? Or does C believe that the Islamists are exclusively mad at America, because America has been mean to them, and has supported Israel?

7. Does C believe that America, warts, missteps and all, has essentially been the good guy in global developments? Or does C agree with jihadists, European intellectuals, and the American Left that America has long been an imperialist bully, and thus the cause of most of its own national security problems?

8. Does C believe that dictators, theocratic and otherwise, rule their nations illegitimately, and therefore that U.S policy towards those governments should be determined by a consideration of the best interests of the U.S., rather than by respect for the dictators’ sovereignty? Or does C believe that dictators and theocratic oppressors can be defended against American opposition on grounds of being the leaders of sovereign states, and thus righteous in their objection to U.S. intervention?

9. Does C believe that U.S. foreign policy should be determined entirely according to a sensible, realistic consideration of long-term American interests? Or is C prone to grand design dreaming about democracy projects and the like, which are inevitably subject to endless local cultural factors beyond America’s capacity to comprehend or control? In other words, does C understand that the freedom to vote, in many parts of the world, will often mean little more than the freedom to choose one’s favorite strongman to wipe out the opposing factions? Or does C harbor anti-conservative fantasies of a human nature that requires no preparation for the full enjoyment of liberty—as though the American Founding was an accident that took place in a historical vacuum, and that could have happened anywhere?

10. Does C appear, to your heart and mind, to be a person of sincere principle, or a panderer? Does C sometimes frustrate you with rhetoric seemingly designed to win over a particular audience, to appeal to young voters, independent voters, religious voters, Occupy Wall Street voters, and so on? Does C appear to put a finger in the wind on too many issues, before coming out with a position one way or the other? Does C have a history of changing positions at convenient career moments, or of taking inconsistent positions on the same issue, when speaking to different audiences? Has C embraced, or sidled up to, positions, factions, or individuals in the recent past, which he/she might hope conservatives won’t ask about? (Consider how the most successful Republican presidential candidate of the modern era stacks up on this issue, and then consider its importance in choosing a nominee.)

11. Does C view Morality as primarily a Liberty issue, or, by contrast, does C view Liberty as primarily a Moral issue? The former view is libertarian at its heart, and appeals to people precisely by promising not to judge them—which is part of the reason that libertarianism is attractive to young people, entertainers, anarchists, and so on. The latter view, more in line with that of the Founders, is grounded in natural rights theory, which in turn is derived from a philosophical belief in a natural order, in which human life, defined by its god-like faculty, reason, has a particular dignity among the creatures of the earth. If C gives priority to the liberty of morality, then C is giving away the argument most needed at this time, which is the moral case for rejecting socialism and returning to a constitutionally limited government. If C gives priority to the morality of liberty, then C is in the best position to be a clear voice for the rejection of the nihilism, relativism, and infantilism of the culture, which, though perhaps an almost impossible task, is nevertheless the inescapable precursor to any meaningful long-term shift back in the direction of constitutional republicanism. Such a shift cannot be achieved as a trend or fad, which can just as easily be discarded when it becomes inconvenient or painful. It must be the product of a deeper movement of the moral tectonic plates in support of a new (or, rather, renewed) ethic of individualism, self-reliance, and mature adulthood. The most effective constitutional conservatism is one which can provide this moral leadership, not through white papers or a narrowly defined social conservatism, but by making the constitutional case for smaller government on moral grounds.

12. If C has an American Conservative Union lifetime rating, what is it? If C does not have a rating (i.e. has not served in Congress), what rating do you think might be indicated by C’s record, as far as you know it? The ACU rating system is not fool-proof, of course; and the ACU decision-makers are human beings with their own biases and blindnesses, like the rest of us. However, if one is trying to make the best possible choice, any reasonable source of information or opinion is worth taking into consideration.

13. Where does the Republican Party Establishment stand on C? Given that the RPE is as culpable as any other force in American society for the bleak present and bleaker future the nation is looking at, it cannot be stressed emphatically enough that anyone being hyped, justified, or subtly coddled by prominent voices within that Establishment should be looked at with extreme skepticism, at best. Prevailing forces do not seek out the means of their own undoing—they seek their own preservation, like everything else. But the RPE is precisely what constitutionalism must be bent on unraveling, as a necessary precondition for unraveling a whole lot of other things. Is C a favorite of some or all of the Party elite? Big negative points for a yes on this one. Or, on the other hand, is the RPE doing everything in its power to silence and bury C’s candidacy? If the answer to this question is affirmative, then a voter ought to be asking why. Since the answer will almost certainly be some variation on the self-preservation argument, this is the kind of candidate one should be paying most attention to with regard to questions 1 through 12, above. For it is from among these Establishment-threatening souls that one ought to be choosing the Republican nominee. There are other issues to consider, of course, but the foregoing list of questions is meant to encompass the widest possible range of the key concerns of anyone hoping that the United States can survive, and thrive, as the high-water mark in the history of human freedom that it once was.

Obama Announces he can imprison anyone he chooses…IF he chooses to do so - Sher Zieve Monday, January 2, 2012 BAN FREE PRESS

Today’s column will be short and to the point. It has finally arrived, folks. I’d hoped I was wrong about it but, tragically and chillingly I was not. Obama has just announced—in his own words—that he can detain (imprison) anyone he wants with the new unconstitutional NDAA bill passed by Congress and signed by the now self-proclaimed Dictator-in-Chief Barack Hussein Obama. Note: As usual, the Marxist-media doesn’t care and is, instead, jubilant that Dear Leader Obama has finally done away with that pesky Constitution. In a statement published 31 December on his White House site, Mr. Obama states: Today I have signed into law H.R. 1540, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012.He goes on in the statement: I have signed this bill despite having serious reservations with certain provisions that regulate the detention, interrogation, and prosecution of suspected terrorists.Note: Senator Carl Levin (D-MI) advised in the below YouTube video that the White House and Barack Obama DEMANDED the removal of any and all protections for US citizens and legal residents. So, the collaborative Congress gave him the dictatorial powers he has wanted since he usurped the Office of POTUS.

The now formal Dictator of the USA Obama also disingenuously stated: Section 1021 affirms the executive branch’s authority to detain persons covered by the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) (Public Law 107-40; 50 U.S.C. 1541 note). This section breaks no new ground [yes, it does] and is unnecessary. The authority it describes was included in the 2001 AUMF, as recognized by the Supreme Court and confirmed through lower court decisions since then. Two critical limitations in section 1021 confirm that it solely codifies established authorities. First, under section 1021(d), the bill does not limit or expand the authority of the President or the scope of the Authorization for Use of Military Force.Second, under section 1021(e), the bill may not be construed to affect any existing law or authorities relating to the detention of United States citizens, lawful resident aliens of the United States, or any other persons who are captured or arrested in the United States.Note: But, it does.My Administration strongly supported the inclusion of these limitations in order to make clear beyond doubt that the legislation does nothing more than confirm authorities that the Federal courts have recognized as lawful under the 2001 AUMF.Note: No, it did not. In fact, per Democrat Senator Carl Levin, just the opposite occurred—as Obama demanded protections for US citizens and legal residents be removed before he would sign the bill! Obama continues with: Moreover, I want to clarify that my Administration will not authorize the indefinite military detention without trial of American citizens.Translation: I may choose to be a beneficent dictator, if I wish to do so.
Indeed, I believe that doing so would break with our most important traditions and values [they are not ’traditions and values’ they are US law] as a Nation. My Administration will interpret section 1021 in a manner that ensures that any detention it authorizes complies with the Constitution, the laws of war, and all other applicable law.” Note: This is another abject ObamaLie. A New Year’s Mayan Calendar: Background & Prophetic Elements - Kelly OConnell Sunday, January 1, 2012

Given 2011 has officially ended, and we’ve entered into 2012 of the Gregorian calendar, many folks are hand-wringing over this as the end of the age, or that the Apocalypse is finally at hand. This is because the Mayan Calendar says so! Or does it? This article examines the theory that the Mayans foresaw the end of the world, as currently described by hundreds of new books, many of them available on Amazon.com. Yet, before anyone goes out and gives away all their belongings, and locks themselves in a reinforced root cellar—don’t forget we just experienced another end of the world hoax. Self-educated pastor and mortician-like heretic Harold Camping’s cult declared the world over twice in the last 12 months! More pointedly, one of the world’s great experts on the ancient Maya and their calendar, David Stuart, claims modern descriptions of the Mayan Apocalypse is just another load of prophetic rubbish. This is the topic of the present essay, which will hopefully help the sophisticated reader to decide the issue themselves (in between ringing in the New Year!).

I. History of the Mayans

The Mesoamerican Mayans (approx 1,800 B.C.—1,000 A.D.), created an incredible culture located in present-day southern Mexico, Guatemala, northern Belize and western Honduras. Using borrowed inventions, Mayans were builders and stargazers, as well as superb farmers. They cleared large tracts of forests and made underground tanks to store rainwater for cultivation, and all without metal implements. The Maya constructed elaborate and picturesque ceremonial architecture, such as temple-pyramids, palaces and observatories. They also constructed extensive trails throughout their kingdom, helping encourage trade. One website describes their history:Around 300 B.C., the Maya adopted a hierarchical system of government with rule by nobles and kings. This civilization developed into highly structured kingdoms during the Classic period, A.D. 200-900. Their society consisted of many independent states, each with a rural farming community and large urban sites built around ceremonial centres. It started to decline around A.D. 900 when - for reasons which are still largely a mystery - the southern Maya abandoned their cities. When the northern Maya were integrated into the Toltec society by A.D. 1200, the Maya dynasty finally came to a close, although some peripheral centres continued to thrive until the Spanish Conquest in the early 16th century.Maya history can be characterized as cycles of rise and fall: city-states rose in prominence and fell into decline, only to be replaced by others. It could also be described as one of continuity and change, guided by a religion that remains the foundation of their culture. For those who follow the ancient Maya traditions, the belief in the influence of the cosmos on human lives and the necessity of paying homage to the gods through rituals continues to find expression in a modern hybrid Christian-Maya faith.

II. Mayan Religion

The Mayan religious worldview was typically pagan, featuring a pantheon of many gods and goddesses. Much still remains mysterious of Maya religious traditions, but they conceived the cosmos composed of three major planes—an underworld, the sky, and the earth. One of the most dramatic aspects of Mayan rites was the practice of human sacrifice, incorporating both adult and child victims, the latter in view of their purity. An overview of Mayan religion is described here:The Maya underworld is reached through caves and ball courts. It was thought to be dominated by the aged Maya gods of death and putrefaction. The Sun and Itzamna, both aged gods, dominated the Maya idea of the sky. The night sky was considered a window showing all supernatural doings. The Maya configured constellations of gods and places, saw the unfolding of narratives in their seasonal movements, and believed that the intersection of all possible worlds was in the night sky. There is a massive array of supernatural characters in the Maya religious tradition. Good and evil traits are not permanent characteristics of Maya gods, nor is only good admirable. What is inappropriate during one season might come to pass in another since much of the Maya religious tradition is based on cycles, not permanence. The life-cycle of maize lies at the heart of Maya belief. This philosophy is demonstrated on the Maya belief in the Maize God as a central religious figure. The Maya bodily ideal is also based on the form of the young Maize God, which is demonstrated in their artwork. The Maize God was also a model of courtly life for the Classical Maya.Regarding human sacrifices (which the related culture Aztecs also practiced), the book Gods and Goddesses: A Treasury of Deities and Tales From World Mythology (Edit by Dr Miriam Hallam) describes this:Tlaloc, a pre-Aztec rain god with a close affinity to the Mayan god Chac, was one of the most powerful gods in the Aztec pantheon. He could bring water to make the corn grow. His benevolence was of utmost importance, and at the end of the dry season many small children were ritually sacrificed on mountain top altars to ensure that a season of plenty would follow.Itzamna was a sun god, and lord of the east and west, and of day and night. He was founder of the Mayan capital and brought maize and cocoa to mankind, established religious ceremonies and rituals, and divided out the land. He was the most revered and benevolent, god of the Maya pantheon. Although Itzamna was benevolent, at Chichen Itza, in the Yucatan peninsula, human sacrifices were regularly made to the gigantic statue of a crocodile, thought to represent him. This was done to ensure that he did not turn against the people he had greatly benefited.

III. Mayan Calendar

Pictures of the unique and unforgettable Mayan Calendar—designed round with the central motif of a man’s head, mouth open, inside a wheel of separate figures—have made it famous (depicted here). According to researchers at the U of Delaware, the Mayan Calendar is based upon two main elements—a 365-day year intersected by an independent 260-day ritual-cycle based itself upon thirteen 20-day mini-cycles. The purpose of the 260-day cycle was to keep track of specific religious days. Whereas, the 365 day vague year plotted the solar year, as does the modern use of the Gregorian Calendar. The two separate measurements of time were then set up as wheels and run as cogs against one another like clockwork pieces (pictured here). When these two wheels run continuously against one another, it takes 52 years for them to come back exactly to the starting position. This so-called short cycle is known as the Calendar Round. Here, a combination of a day and month position will repeat every 52 years. Also, a longer cycle was their 73-year sacred year cycle.

A. Predictions of the Calendar

Many persons writing modern books upon the Mayan Prophecies have come to the conclusion they augur the end of the world. One such specific prophecy being relayed is that 2012 is zero hour and that the Mayan Calendar predicts that a year after December 21, 2011 the world will suffer an apocalypse. In fact, most books on the Mayan Calendar claim it predicts apocalyptic events—because, of course, predictions of disaster sell books.

B. Itzá Prophecy

The Itza Prophecy is a notable precursor to the hopes or fears of a modern belief in Mayan fortune-telling. David Stuart—one of the world’s greatest authorities on the ancient Mayans—in The Order of Days: The Maya World and the Truth About 2012, describes the so-called Itzá Prophecy:Itzá were a Mayan-speaking people who occupied a large, remote region in what is now northern Guatemala. The story of their eventual conquest in 1697 is a remarkable tale, a barely known episode of American history. What is most striking about it is that during the decades leading up to their fall, the Itzá Maya had prophesied their own end. Numerous written accounts tell us how King Kanek’ had a strong sense of his inevitable defeat, when, according to the sacred prophecies, a new era of the Maya calendar called a k’atun would begin. Yet, native prophecy played as much a role in the defeat of the Itzá as the political machinations of the time, or as did the superior weaponry and numbers of the Spanish soldiers. For the Itzá, the year 1679 was the inevitable end of an era, a foretold turning point when time would fold and repeat itself, and political change and transformation were utterly unavoidable. In a fascinating twist on how we usually look on the course of history, native prophecy made the Itzá look upon their conquest and conversion to Christianity as a foregone conclusion.

C. Mayan End of Ages

Many authors have predicted not just a new age, but even total destruction for the earth in 2012. Here is a typical statement, from John Major Jenkin’s book Maya Cosmogenesis 2012: The True Meaning of the Maya Calendar End-Date:While researching the 2012 end-date of the Maya Calendar, John Major Jenkins decoded Mayan galactic cosmology. Mayans discovered the periodic alignment of the Sun with the center of the Milky Way galaxy is the formative influence on human evolution. These alignments also define a series of World Ages. The fourth age ends on Dec. 21, 2012, when an epoch chapter in human history will come to an end. Maya Cosmogenisis 2012 reveals Mayan insight into the cyclic nature of time, and prepares us for our own cosmogenesis—the birth of a new world. The problem with using the Mayan dates for the end of the world is that these people did not see their universe in a similar manner as modern folks do, according to Stuart. This is especially true regarding Mayan creation and destruction cycles. Writes Stuart,The Mayan worldview saw the universe as an evolving and developing system, punctuated by episodes of destruction and reformulation as it lurched toward the historical present. Over vast time periods, the gods performed multiple experiments with the creation of people until they got it right. I find it interesting that in very general terms, Mesoamerican myths describe the process of Creation as a series of starts, destructions, and restart. This recurrence of creation & destruction fits well with the idea that the present world may not have a well-defined ending. But Stuart insists the entire idea that the Mayans in their calendar prophesied a 2011-12 end of the world is superstitious drivel:Many of the books on 2012 have evocative, even alarming titles. According to these strange-sounding books and TV shows—and none of them is ever consistent in its message—the ancient Maya, having some keen insight into the mystical workings of our planet and the cosmos, were able to predict that the world would end or in some way be radically transformed in the year 2012—on the winter solstice December 21, to be exact (although, again, some sources differ on the precise day).

This is all complete nonsense. As someone who has studied the Maya for nearly all of his life, and who specializes in reading their ancient texts in order to understand their history, religion, and culture, I have to lay down the line and assert that any such statements about the Maya predicting the world’s demise or, alternatively, some transformation of consciousness in 2012 is, to put it as simply and directly as possible, wrong. Not only wrong, but misleading.

IV. Pagan Calendar Chaos—Apocalypse Now?

Is it possible we are at the end of the age, whether pagan or Christian—such as foretold as the biblical Apocalypse? If so, then how would ancient pagans be able to foretell this better than biblical prophets? Further, why would Christ say Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.(Matt 24:35-36) Yet many remain convinced that, in a general pagan revelation, all religions and prophecies are now leading to the end of the age on December 21st, 2012.But only time will tell.
