KING JESUS IS COMING FOR US ANY TIME NOW. THE RAPTURE. BE PREPARED TO GO.
DAN 2:20-22,28,31-45
20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.(90 FOOT STATUE HIGH AND 9 FEET WIDE)
32 This image's head was of fine gold,(BABYLONIAN EMPIRE) his breast and his arms of silver,(MEDO-PERSIAN EMPIRE) his belly and his thighs of brass,(GREECE EMPIRE)
33 His legs of iron,(ROMAN EMPIRE) his feet part of iron and part of clay.(REVIVED ROMAN EMPIRE IN OUR DAY)
34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands,(JESUS RULE FROM JERUSALEM FOREVER) which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.(JESUS' KINGDOM)
36 This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.
37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.
40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

The “Nevo Firing Range,” a new simulator that has been adopted by the Israel Navy, will allow soldiers
and sailors to conduct very accurate close and long range firing using
the latest weapons in the IDF's arsenal – without wasting a bullet,
missile, or laser beam. The Nevo is the latest in top-flight military
simulators, using the latest in graphics technology and processing,
allowing soldiers to truly feel as if they are practicing in the field.A top Israeli Navy official testified that the system was much better than “real” field training.“The simulator saves us tens of thousands of shekels per soldier
annually,” the official said. “Besides the cost of ammunition, each
field practice requires a major logistical effort, including transporting troops, rescue vehicles, and equipment. The simulator allows us to dispense with all of this.”Can a simulator replace field practice? The Navy says it can; soldiers enter into the simulator and are faced with a variety of threats and missions, just like they would be in the field. Soldiers who have used the system say that it is very realistic, and that the training they received was just as effective as they would have received with actual field training, if not more so.“In field practice we have to follow a lot of safety rules, which many soldiers
feel do not allow for a true battlefield experience,” said one soldier
who has used the system. “With the simulator, you feel and can act and
react as if you are truly facing the enemy, without having to worry
about friendly-fire safety considerations.”The Navy is the first IDF corps to get to use the system, but other divisions plan to use it as well.
The Palestinian Authority's price
for renewing peace talks with Israel was the release of terrorists from
Israeli prisons – and only that, said government minister Silvan Shalom.
Instead, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was prepared to offer them a
building freeze in Judea and Samaria – but the PA rejected that offer,
Shalom said in an interview on Voice of Israel public radio Sunday. The building freeze would have
encompassed towns that are located outside the so-called “settlement
blocs,” such as those in the Binyamin region – among them a number of
towns, such as Beit El, that were included in the list of national
priority areas issued by the government Sunday. Israel, said Shalom, had
no choice but to comply with the demand to release terrorists, because
of the heavy American pressure to restart the talks.Observers said that the fact that the
PA rejected Israel's offer for a building freeze did not mean that
there would not actually be a freeze. “We know that the PA accepts any
Israeli offer as a fait accompli, even if they themselves reject those
offers,” said one source. “It's a fact that the PA has demanded the
concessions made by Israel in previous negotiations as a starting point
for new ones, even if they themselves rejected those concessions. There's no reason to believe that
this situation is any different,” said the source. “That they put some
of these towns on a 'national priority list' for housing is fine, but if
no building is approved and there is in effect a 'silent freeze,' it's
just adding insult to injury to say that these places now have
'priority' over others.”

Cardinal Peter Turkson is in Japan this week to participate in a “Ten Days for Peace” event organized by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Japan on the 68th anniversary of the dropping of atomic bombs by the USA on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The event is a follow up to the Appeal for Peace made by Pope John Paul II when he visited the country in 1981. Responding to that appeal the Japanese Bishops Conference decided to organize an annual event for peace in each diocese, to commemorate those terrible moments in history and promote peace. The first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima (population 350,000) on 6 August 1945. It directly killed some 80,000 people, (the total of dead and injured reached 90-140,000 by the year’s end) while 69% of the city’s buildings were completely destroyed. The second bomb was dropped on the city of Nagasaki (population 263,000) on August 9. It killed some 74,000 people and injured another 75,000. The purpose of this year’s peace event is “to pray for the victims of atomic bombs, to reaffirm the foolishness of wars, to become peacemakers”, according to the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace headed by Cardinal Turkson. The event lasts from 5-15 August, and covers not only the anniversaries of both bombings but also that of Japan’s surrender on August 15.The Cardinal will preach at mass at the Cathedral in Hiroshima on August 5. The day after he will join Buddhist, Shinto and Protestant religious leaders for the memorial day commemoration of the Hiroshima bombing, and speak on the need to collaborate together to promote and build peace in the world. On August 7, he will speak at a dinner in Nagasaki organized by its Inter-religious Dialogue for World Peace and, Next day, he will participate in an Inter-religious memorial ceremony at the city’s Ground-Zero Park, and pray for the victims of the bombing and for those still suffering from the radioactivity then. Cardinal Turkson will celebrate mass in Nagasaki’s cathedral on August 9, and pray for the victims of the bombing there and for peace in the world. When on June 23 Archbishop Peter Takeo Okada, the President of the Japanese Catholic Bishops Conference announced the ‘Ten Days for Peace’ event, he recalled that this was also the 50th anniversary of Pope John XXIII’s famous encyclical on peace - Pacem in Terris (“Peace on Earth). ( www.cbcj.catholic.jp/eng/edoc/130623.htm )
He highlighted the relevance of that encyclical for Japan today, and identified a new threat to peace in the movement now under way in Japan to lower the voting requirement for changing the Constitution. If this were to be approved, he said, it would open the door to the abolition of Article 9 of the Constitution which outlaws war as a way to resolve international disputes.“Because of Article 9, Japan has never killed anyone in war, and no Japanese has been killed in war. It is our crucial responsibility to protect and make the most of Article 9”, he stated Sr Cecilia Haruko Ishikawa aci, Director of the Department for Social Concerns of the Bishops' Conference, is a key person in the coordination of the ‘Ten Days for Peace’ event. When I asked her whether the Japanese Bishops are making a link between the 1945 atomic bombing and the Fukishama Daiichi nuclear power plant disaster of March 2011, she confirmed this saying, “To have nuclear plants is to gain the plutonium that could make nuclear weapons”.She recalled how “after that disaster the Bishops Conference of Japan published a message on 8 November 2011 to all of Japan saying that we should abolish all 47 nuclear plants”.( www.cbcj.catholic.jp/eng/edoc/111108.htm).
Sr Cecilia also emphasized the importance of the ‘Ten Days for Peace’ and other such events. “Many people come for the official ceremony of anniversary of Atomic Bomb, both in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Each diocese has its own events. Many Catholics come for Mass and other activities organized by the Hiroshima and Nagasaki Dioceses. It is a really good chance for the people to reflect about the Peace, not only in Japan but also for whole the world”, she said. The followers of other religions “pray and have events” at this time too, and Cardinal Turkson will participate in some of these inter-religious events at Kyoto, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, she stated.
Fr. Arrupe told the story of Nakamura San. It was the morning of 6 August 1945: “I saw the first atomic bomb in history hit the city at exactly 8:15 am… I was in my office at the time, with another priest. We saw the huge ball of fire, I jumped to my feet and ran to the window and at that moment we heard an explosion. It wasn’t a huge detonation, but something completely different; I remember it as a huge mooing sound… We looked at the city. Hiroshima wasn’t there any more. It had turned into a compact brazier…” So the Jesuit missionaries in Hiroshima had to become doctors, nurses and surgeons. They had to witness terrible wounds, bodies that were consumed by the heat and monstrous and horrible disfigurements. They had hundreds of dramatic experiences.
One of these was the story of a Catholic girl. “University student Nakamura San, from my parish of Yamaguchi was in Hiroshima the day the bomb was dropped. She sent for me. I found her inside a shack. No one wanted to come with me, they just pointed out where it was. Before catching sight of it, I smelt the nauseating smell of destroyed flesh. Nakamura San was lying on the ground with her arms and legs spread out and her hands and feet were horribly swollen. All you could see was skin and bone showing through her burnt flesh. She remained in this condition for fifteen days. Nakamura San opened her eyes, recognised me and told me something I will never forget: 'Arrupe shimpusama, Goseitai, o motte irasshaimashita ka?' This is the transcription of what she said to me in speaking. The question she asked was: “Fr. Arrupe, could you give communion to me?”
The President of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, Cardinal Peter Turkson, will also pray for Nakamura San, as he did for all the victims of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, in an upcoming visit to Japan for a five day meeting of reflection, prayer, to promote peace and commemorate the victims of the atomic bombs. Cardinal Turkson’s trip is part of the Japanese Episcopal Conference’s Ten Days of Peace initiative (from 6 to 15 August). On Monday the prelate will be in Hiroshima to preside a Holy Mass for peace in the city’s cathedral. On Tuesday he will attend an interreligious meeting, where he will give a speech on mutual cooperation in building worldwide peace.
On Wednesday he will visit Nagasaki, where he has been invited to a lunch organised by the International Centre for Interfaith Dialogue; at a commemorative interreligious ceremony at the city’s Ground Zero Park on Thursday, the cardinal will say a prayer for the victims of the bombings. Finally, on Friday 9 August, the President of the Vatican dicastery will preside over a mass for world peace.

Controversial Georgian sculptor prepares Europe’s tallest statue of Jesus
Georgian artist Zurab Tsereteli is preparing an 83-metre tall bronze statue of Jesus
Mauro Pianta Turin He is certainly no minimalist. His extravagant work has always sparked controversy. From the statue of Vladimir Putin dressed in a judo outfit to the giant statue of Peter the Great and the Tear Drop Memorial dedicated to the September 11 attacks: Georgian sculptor Zurab Tsereteli is as famous as he is controversial. Missionary news agency AsiaNews has reported that the “Lenin Prize” and “Hero of Socialist Labour” winner is currently working on a statue of Jesus which once finished, could be the tallest one in Europe. The bronze sculpture was cast in St. Petersburg and is 33 metres high, the same number of years Christ lived n Earth. This, coupled with the 50 metre-high pedestal, makes the statue a record 83 metres tall. Tsereteli said the sculpture would exceed the Statue of Christ in Lisbon – currently considered the tallest in Europe - by five metres.Once complete, the statue’s “home” should be Georgia but the sculptor trusts a space will be found for it in Russia.“Under the administration of the previous mayor of Moscow, Yuri Luzhkov, Tsereteli filled the city with his sculptures, occasionally giving rise to protests from the capital's intelligentsia who criticizes his lack of taste for anything sober. Among the works created for Moscow, the 16 doors of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the six crosses on the golden domes and the dome itself, which has become a symbol of the religious revival of the post-Soviet Russia,” AsiaNews reports. Now he has a new challenge ahead of him: a 83-metre tall statue of Jesus.Tsereteli casts Europe's highest statue of Christ in bronze
Photo: RIA Novosti
It was cast in St. Petersburg and is 33 meters
high - as many meters as the years Christ lived on Earth, and its
pedestal is another 50 meters high, which, overall, makes it 83 meters
tall, the sculptor said.He also said that the sculpture
will be five meters taller than the statue of Christ in Lisbon,
believed to be the highest in Europe.Tsereteli said he
had been offered to place the monument on a Caucasus summit in Georgia.
"But I hope it will find a place in Russia. I have no doubts," Tsereteli
said.Tsereteli is president of the Russian Academy of Arts and is a prominent sculptor. His monuments can be seen in many countries.Voice of Russia, IF

Australian ex-deputy PM slams ‘Jewish lobby’ over Pius criticism
Tim Fischer’s assertions, published in new book, is ‘standard anti-Semitic fare,’ says head of Wiesenthal Center’s Israel office
August 5, 2013, 2:32 pm
4-the times of israel
Jewish groups often criticize Pius XII for his
behavior during the Holocaust, lamenting that he did not vocally oppose
the Nazis. But Fischer, who served as Australia’s deputy
prime minister from 1996 until 1999, contended that Pius did save
thousands of Jews in Italy but “gets zero credit,” according to a report in Fairfax Media, an Australian media company.“In fact, according to Mr. Fischer, Pius
instructed Catholics to help Jews, hiding hundreds in convents,
monasteries and the Vatican. The Nazis rounded up 1,002 of Rome’s 8,000
Jews in 1943 and sent them to Auschwitz, but the other 7,000 were
saved,” the Australian media conglomerate reported. In “Holy See, Unholy Me: 1000 Days in Rome,”
which hit bookstands last week in Melbourne, Fischer identified Israeli
government spokesperson Mark Regev “as a key figure” regarding the
Jewish lobby’s media power, according to Fairfax. The Jews’ prowess in
manipulating public opinion beats that of the Vatican, Fischer
reportedly said, adding that their tactics “are about representing a
cause and maintaining influence and power.”Regev, who was born and raised in Melbourne before he immigrated to Israel, said he had no comment about Fischer’s allegations.“This is very standard anti-Semitic fare,”
said Efraim Zuroff, the director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Israel
office. “This is one of the classic fundamentals of anti-Semitic
propaganda: the notion of Jews controlling the world, either through
financial markets or the media, or both. People conjure up a specter of
nefarious international conspiracy run by Jews.”Zuroff opined that Fischer was using the accusations as a way to drum up sales.Fischer told Fairfax he expected to be criticized for his comments, “but hoped fair-minded people would read the book.”
In the book, Fischer wrote that “Jewish
lobby’s” influence in sullying the name of the Vatican bubbled to the
surface when an Israeli diplomat ostensibly defended Pope Pius’s wartime
record but later partially retracted his statement after a huge
backlash from Jewish organizations. In 2011, Israeli ambassador to the Holy See
Mordechai Levy said that “it would be a mistake to say that the Catholic
Church, the Vatican and the pope himself opposed actions to save the
Jews. To the contrary, the opposite is true.”The comments were conceived to be surprisingly
warm, since Israel and Jewish groups had hitherto accused Pius of not
having used his prominent position to forcefully protest the Nazi
extermination of the Jews.“For any ambassador to make such specious
comments is morally wrong. For the Israeli envoy to do so is
particularly hurtful to Holocaust survivors who suffered grievously
because of Pius’s silence,” said Elan Steinberg, the vice president of
the American Gathering of Holocaust Survivors and their Descendants.
Other Jewish organizations made similar comments, prompting Levy to quickly issue a clarification.“Given the fact that this context is still
under the subject of ongoing and future research, passing my personal
historical judgment on it was premature,” the diplomat stated.Fischer told Fairfax that he thought Levy was forced into a “humiliating backdown.”“Further, the moment any suggestion is made to
consider Pius XII for beatification and sainthood, they hit out at
close to full power and use all media avenues to stamp it out,” he said.
Officially, Israel identifies with criticism
over Pius’s alleged silence yet calls for more work to be done to better
assess the historical facts. “It is the known position of many among
Jewish communities and in Israel that Pius remained silent when a strong
moral voice needed to be raised,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal
Palmor said. “His historical role, however, must be determined by
historians who need free and full access to relevant archives [in the
Vatican].”Last year, the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum, based on new research, changed the wording on one of its panels to soften its criticism of Pius.
It used to state that the pope “did not intervene” when the Nazis
deported Jews from Rome to Auschwitz. Now it says that he “did not
publicly protest.” The text further says that Pius “abstained from
signing the Allied declaration condemning the extermination of the Jews”
in 1942.The new text notes that critics consider the
pontiff’s lack of public protest a “moral failure,” while defenders
emphasize that his neutrality “prevented harsher measures against the
Vatican and the Church’s institutions throughout Europe, thus enabling a
considerable number of secret rescue activities to take place at
different levels of the Church.”The panel at the museum now ends with this
sentence: “Until all relevant material is available to scholars, this
topic will remain open to further inquiry.”
Fischer, a 67-year-old Vietnam War veteran, is no stranger to controversy surrounding Israel. In 1997, when he was deputy prime minister, he withdrew an invitation to Australia
he had previously extended to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, because
then-prime minister John Howard felt such a visit was “inappropriate.”
At the time, the Palestinian representative in Australia said pressure
from local Jewish groups was behind the cancellation, although senior
community officials said they had nothing to do with it.
In 2006, Fischer stated unequivocally
that an Israeli bombing of the USS Liberty during the Six Day War was
“a deliberate attack by the Israeli air force.” Both Washington and
Jerusalem investigated the incident and concluded that the attack, which
killed 34 crew members, was an accident, although some survivors claim
it was deliberate.“By resurrecting this long discredited
calumny, the only thing Fischer proves is his own deep-seated bias
against Israel,” Ted Lapkin, the director of policy analysis at the
Australia Israel and Jewish Affairs Council, responded at the time to
Fischer’s assertion.

Turkson joins peace events commemorating atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
The Cardinal is in Japan to commemorate the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and pray for peace. The Bishops there want all 47 nuclear power plants closed, and they want to protect the Constitution’s Article 9 that outlaws war
Gerard O'Connell RomeCardinal Peter Turkson is in Japan this week to participate in a “Ten Days for Peace” event organized by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Japan on the 68th anniversary of the dropping of atomic bombs by the USA on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

A dying atom bomb victim’s last wish: Communion
Fr. Arrupe, the current Superior General of the Jesuits, tells the story of the young Nakamura San. Cardinal Turkson will soon be in Japan to commemorate the victims of the atomic bomb
domenico agasso JR turin Her final wish before she succumbed to a death caused the atomic bomb was to receive Communion. The greatness of Christianity prevailed, even in the midst of the disasters and tragedies caused by the nuclear nightmare. Despite her disfigured body, courtesy of the effects of the atomic explosion, Japanese student Nakamura San used her last, dwindling strengths to make one final resolute request to Fr. Pedro Arrupe (Bilbao, 1907 – Rome, 1991), the Jesuit’s future Superior General, who was a missionary in Hiroshima (Japan) at the time.Fr.
