BORN IN THE USA? Obama's half-sister raises birth-certificate doubts-Claims despite adoption by Indonesian stepfather, it is U.S. law that matters

A statement from Barack Obama's half-sister has at least cast a shadow of doubt on the legitimacy of the "Certificate of Live Birth" document that was released by the White House this week in an attempt to stifle questions about his eligibility, by referencing his apparent adoption by her father, Indonesian Lolo Soetoro.On a Facebook page, Maya Soetoro-Ng wrote to a woman who had met her inHawaiiafter Madelyn Dunham, the mother of Stanley Ann Dunham Obama Soetoro and grandmother to both Maya and Barack, passed away in 2008.Soetoro-Ng was objecting to having a conversation with a critic of her half-brother, and said she had been misquoted as saying her whole family was Muslim.She wrote,I did not say my brother was a Muslim. I did say that I was more philosophically Buddhist. I told you that you were upsetting me. You said that you were not trying to upset me but wanted to know the truth about (Raila) Odinga (a Muslim for whom Barack Obama campaigned in the 2007 presidential race in Kenya). I told you I didn't know who that was and had never met him. While not a definitive statement, there also are other indications that Lolo Soetoro, Stanley Ann Dunham Obama Soetoro's second husband, an Indonesia, either adopted Barack Obama or considered him adopted, as documentation obtained by the Associated Press reveals that Obama-Soetoro was registered as a Muslim Indonesian at school when he lived in the Far East with his mother and Lolo Soetoro.

The location of birth is not changed, nor the weight of the baby, or other details. But the mother and father can be changed on an original long-form birth certificate during the adoption process.WND has confirmed such practices in several states, including Maine, Colorado and California, and it largely is standard practice across the country.Whether such practices would prevail in international adoptions, especially during the 1960s, remains unclear. Officials with the U.S. State Department provided reams of information on processes for U.S. couples to adopt foreign children, but declined to respond to questions about American citizen children adopted by Indonesians. Officials with both theHawaiiDepartment of Health and theHawaiiattorney general's office, which monitors the legal proceedings for adoptions there, declined to respond to more than a dozen requests for comment from WND.

Officials with the Indonesian embassy in Washington declined to provide details to WND on any adoption procedures, referring WND to an court in Indonesia instead.The U.S. State Department was able to confirm that adoptions by U.S. families of Indonesian children during 2010 totaled only three cases. That remains the focal point of challenges to his ascendancy to the Oval Office, because many interpret thatphraseto mean the citizen offspring of two citizen parents. With Kenyan-born Barack Obama Sr. listed as his father, Obama Jr. would not have met those requirements under any circumstances.Any adoptionrecordsthat might exist have been kept from public review, however.WND previously has reportedthat the dateline for Obama's move to Indonesia, and his later return toHawaii, remains unclear.Two newspaper articles from 1990 – apparently based on interviews with Barack Obama – reported that the future president leftHawaiifor Indonesia when he was 2 years old, not 6 years old, as he relates in his autobiography.On May 3, 1990, the Associated Press widely published a feature story on Obama highlighting him as the first African-American named as president of the Harvard Law review.Obama moved to Southeast Asia at age 2 when his parents divorced and his mother married an Indonesian, the Associated Press reported. Assuming that Obama was 10 years old in the fifth grade, this 1990 AP report would have placed Obama in Indonesia for eight years, from around August 1963 until August 1971, when he was 2 years old until he was 10 years old.Then, on Aug. 1, 1990, reporter Tammerlin Drummond wrote that Obama left for Indonesia at 2 years old, in an article entitled Harvard Law Review Gets Its First Black President.Two years [after Obama was born], Obama's parents separated and he moved to a small village outside Jakarta, Indonesia, with his mother, an anthropologist, Drummond wrote. According to the timeline Obama has represented, here are key dates:

•Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4, 1961;
•Obama's mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, divorced Barack Obama Sr. on March 20, 1964, when Obama was still 2 years old;
•Stanley Ann Dunham married Lolo Soetoro on March 24, 1965, when Obama was 3 years old;
•On July 20, 1966, Lolo Soetoro leavesHawaii, where he had been attending the University ofHawaii,to returnto Indonesia;
•On June 29, 1967, Stanley Ann Dunham applies to the U.S. Department of State to amend her U.S. passport No. F777788 to change her name from Stanley Ann Dunham to her married name, Stanley Ann Soetoro;
•According to her passportrecords, Ann Dunham Soetoro traveled from Honolulu,Hawaii, to Djakarta, Indonesia, via Japan Airlines in October 1967, using U.S. Passport No. 777788.
If Barack Obama Jr. traveled with his mother to go to Indonesia for the first time in October 1967, he would have been six years old.

The information in Obama's memoir, Dreamsfrom My Father, generally supports that Obama was in Indonesia for only four years, from the time he was 6 years old until 10 years old, from 1967-1971, although the references to Indonesia in the autobiography are typically vague regarding specific dates.In trying to determine the Obama timeline in Indonesia, the following passages in Dreams from My Father are relevant:

•Obama comments he had lived in Indonesia for over three years by that time, discussing a visit with his mother to the U.S. embassy in Djakarta, at some unspecified time before he returned to the United States (Dreams from My Father, p. 30).
•In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school, two years at the Catholic school (Dreams from My Father,p. 154).
•On a yet unspecified date, supposedly in 1971, Barack Obama returns from Indonesia to Hawaii alone, unaccompanied by his mother (Dreams from My Father, p. 53).

Holiyah Lia Soetoro Sobah (Source: We the People of the United States) It was whenit was reported a previously unknown stepsister of Barack Obama died that other questions were raised.Internet researchers made the linkbetween the president and his previously undisclosed stepsister, Holiyah Lia Soetoro Sobah, after translating fromobituaries published in Indonesia.The obituaries identified Lia as having been adopted by Lolo Soetoro, Obama's stepfather, and Ann Dunham Obama Soetoro, the president's mother.The surfacing of Lia as an adopted child of Lolo Soetoro and Dunham raised the question of whether Barack Obama himself might have been adopted officially as Lolo Soetoro's stepson while in Indonesia from 1967 to 1971.Even though Obama makes no mention in Dreams from My Father of having had an Indonesian stepsister, the Indonesian obituaries make clear that Obama slept in the same room as his stepsister while the two of them grew up together in the Soetoro home in Jakarta.While Obama has not acknowledged having had a stepsister in Indonesia, he discussed at length in his autobiography his half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, who was born in Indonesia to Lolo Soetoro and Ann Dunham on Aug. 15, 1970.WND has reportedthat in a passport amendment submitted Aug. 13, 1968, Obama's mother identified her son with an Indonesian surname as Barack Obama II Soebarkah, and asked the State Department to drop him from her U.S. passport.The transaction could have been part of an effort by Dunham to obtain Indonesian citizenship for her son.

WND also reported it is undisputed that Obama took on the last name of his stepfather in school registration documents while in Indonesia. All Indonesian students were required to carry government identity cards, or Karty Tanda Pendudaks, which needed to bear the student's legal name, which should be matched in public school registration filings.According to Indonesian legal experts, it was difficult to enroll non-Indonesian citizens in public schooling.If Lolo Soetoro adopted Obama at age five or younger, then Obama would automatically have become an Indonesian citizen according to the country's laws in the 1960s, which stipulated any child aged five or younger adopted by an Indonesian father is immediately granted Indonesian citizenship upon completion of the adoption process.Lolo Soetoro could have adopted Obama in Hawaii, although such an adoption would not have necessarily been recognized by Indonesia. Likewise, what happened in Indonesia may or may not have affected the status of Obama-Soetoro in the U.S.

I explained that Obama has to first conclusively show that he was born in Hawaii. Having done that, he must still show that he is an Article II natural born Citizen which is a child born in the country to citizen parents. I also explained that Obama may be able at some point to show that he was born in Hawaii, which would make him a citizen under the Fourteenth Amendment, but that he would not be able to show that he is an Article II natural born Citizen.On April 27, 2011, putative President, Barack Obama, released to the public a digital image on the White House web site of his alleged long form Certificate of Live Birth. A majority of Americans have wanted Obama to confirm that he was in fact born in Hawaii. Yet, Obama refers to these concerned Americans as sideshows and carnival barkers. But worst than that, the document that Obama has released raises some very serious issues and confirms a critical piece of information. The document published on the White House web site (whitehouse.gov) is not a scan of a paper document but rather was built with computer programming by using many electronic layers. A scanned document only has one layer of information. This document has various electronic layers which raises the serious question of whether the document was obviously forged. A big question that the video raises is that this document is so obviously a fake that one wonders whether those who did it are that highly incompetent or did they fake it so badly so as to want to get caught so as to draw attention to it and away from the real issue. Another possible reason for the obvious forgery is that the creators of the forgery unknown to Obama want Obama to get caught at his big game of deceit. Finally, another possibility for creating such an easily detected forgery is that Obama has the real birth certificate that provides the same information as this forgery. After all, Obama was sure to release to the public correspondence showing how two certified copies of the birth certificate were personally picked up by his personal attorney who flew to Hawaii to get them, paying $10.00 for the first one and $4.00 for the second. This correspondence is also careful to explain how the certificates were obtained from the Hawaii Department of Health. The letter from Loretta J. So, they created this forgery to mislead people in thinking that Obama does not have the real birth certificate and to keep the birthers screaming for the real document. In the end, he will just show the world that he does have the document and that he was telling the truth all along. But regardless of whatever game Obama is playing, as we shall see below, the real issue is that Obama’s father was not a U.S. citizen and so Obama is not and cannot be a natural born Citizen.This is the issue from which Obama cannot hide behind some manipulated computer images.

Regardless of whatever Obama is up to with his new-found long form birth certificate, this new document confirms that Obama is not a natural born Citizen. A natural born Citizen is a child born in the U.S. to a U.S. citizen father and mother. While place of birth is a necessary element of being a natural born Citizen, let us not lose sight of the other necessarily element, i.e., a U.S. citizen father and mother at the time of birth. Even assuming this new long form Certificate of Live Birth to be genuine, what is important to understand about this document is that it confirms who Obama’s father is, a fact that has been debated for quite some time. The document shows that his father is Barack Obama Sr., who we know was a British citizen and never became a U.S. citizen. Hence, the document confirms that Obama is not an Article II natural born Citizen and is therefore not eligible to be President. Obama’s Nixonian moment?

29 April 2011: We hope you’ve saved the duct tape you purchased at the urging of the DHS a few years ago, as it could come in handy to as a head wrap to keep your head from exploding from the curious events of this past week. Should you find no need to do so, you might wish to send your extra rolls to the corporate media, Obama loyalists, operatives and progressives so they can use it to hold together their mosaic of lies and misrepresentations that have turned into blatant insults and a shameful mockery of anyone searching for the truth about the valid constitutional issue of presidential eligibility.There are indeed legitimate questions regarding the authenticity of the purported certificate of birth based on the most cursory and preliminary examinations already performed. Let us not forget that this document was released by the White House with the imprimatur of Obama himself. Therefore, any anomalies with the document should be analyzed with the same vigor and with the same level of aggressiveness as the release of the now infamous Nixon tapes, complete with the equally infamous 18 minute gap attributed to the wayward foot of secretary Rosemary Woods.

Although the same standard of examination and investigation to which former President Richard M. Nixon was held need to be applied to the Obama sanctioned document. Note that Obama, much like Nixon with the tapes, initially fought against the release of his long form birth certificate through his use of lawyers and other diversionary roadblocks. When seemingly cornered, Nixon furnished the audio sans the 18 minutes, which resulted in his ultimate downfall. Can it be the same today? It is by design that the same people who called for the resignation of President Nixon, including the liberal press, are some of the very same individuals who are mocking those who are tenaciously attempting to protect the rule of law and the sanctity of our constitution. It is by design that the ideology of Marxism has infiltrated and taken over, overtly or by less obvious means, virtually all aspects of our society, corporate media and current government.The certificate of birth is merely one document that embodies a multitude of questions about the background and origins of a man who holds the keys to our nuclear arsenal, the ability to direct our armed forces to all corners of the world and by mandate, to the streets of the U.S. if he deems necessary. It does, however, represent the cornerstone of legitimacy for the highest office in the U.S. and should not be made into the sideshow that Obama has laughingly accused others of doing.In addition to its authenticity, it is critical to ask why, after a nearly three year-long fight, that he would choose this time to make this purported official document public. As succinctly reported Wednesday by Judi McLeod, editor of Canada Free Press, a looming question about the timing of its release remains; she notes that even the most powerful man on earth must know that keeping his certificate of birth and other vital documents away from the public is akin to attempting to clean a bloodstain left at a crime scene.

Like a crime scene, we must not be fooled by anyone wishing to cleanse the potential criminality being committed by this administration against the citizens of our country and hard work of our founding fathers. Regardless whether top republicans, elected conservatives or highly paid talk show hosts consider this a distraction, this issue must be pursued with the same vigor once possessed by Woodward and Berstein, and followed to its final conclusion, wherever the facts lead and despite any potential consequences for doing so. As citizens, we can handle the truth but are becoming increasingly impatient with lies and ambiguity.It’s nothing less than a matter of our national security and survival.

Your giddy message of this morning on The Joe Madison Show, lost as it was in the shuffle of the Royal Wedding, is nothing to snicker about.He’s almost 50 years old and he’s president of the United States and I don’t think anybody would debate his intelligence and so now we need to get serious…let’s just get serious and get back to focusing on what’s important, senior adviser Valerie Jarrett said on the Joe Madison Show this morning.(Real Clear Politics April 28, 2011).Why is it that whenever Barry Soetoro Obama does something that could be considered bold and audacious, he runs for cover behind the skirts of the Trinity of the Skirts—wife Michelle, boss woman, slum landlady Jarrett and we-don’t-need Jesus Oprah Winfrey? Can Barry The Missing not think for himself?

Some Questions about the Obama Birth Certificate

After researching the new Obama long form COLB (Certificate Of Live Birth), I’m left with three questions: Are they really that stupid? Do they think that we the people are that stupid? Are we the people being set up for something? Progressives, besides being cunning, sly, and manipulative, also tend (at least the elites) to be well educated, well versed in Newspeak (political correctness), and intelligent. Consequently, I hesitate to think that they are so dumb as to try to palm off such an obvious patch-work forgery as a legitimate COLB. It is hard to imagine such an obvious fake as being anything but a ploy. Link.I suspect that they are either (1) desperate, or (2) putting out an obvious forgery in hopes of instigating something. But desperate people often make dumb mistakes, so I’m not ruling out their own stupidity as the answer to my questions. Link

Watching the way the lapdog press has unquestioningly accepted the new COLB is sickening. They have not only meekly accepted it as being akin to something Moses might have brought down from the mountain, but they are praising it, crowing about it, and lauding it, like some religious zealots with a holy relic—this, after insisting for years that they had all already seen Obama’s birth certificate. How can they have seen it a couple of years ago, and now be wetting their pants over its recent release? Curiouser and curiouser. Kerchner, Mario Apuzzo, and others who are using the Vattel argument against Obama should now, (even using the patch-work forgery), have enough ammo to successfully argue their case. Kenya, after all, is a much more specific term to work with than African (which unless I’m mistaken, is used in reference to a geographic location, and not a racial subset—but you might want to ask one of the millions of Caucasian South Africans about that). Leavenworth prison, the publication of Dr. Jerome Corsi’s book Where’s the Birth Certificate in a couple of weeks, and letters sent to the FBI and two Tennessee grand juries, charging Obama with treason, may have had as much to do with the release of Obama’s new bogus COLB, than Trump’s bringing the eligibility issue to the nation’s awareness. Still, kudos to The Donald for bringing national attention to the question of Obama’s fitness to be POTUS. In the end President Barack Obama and Donald Trump have much in common: They both waited a long and painful two and a half years to talk turkey about Obama’s highly questionable eligibility as President of the United States.But surely Obama being the most undocumented president in the history of the United States of America bears more guilt for the sin of deceiving the people of the country he was elected to serve than the one he only moments ago alluded to as the carnival barker.But the insulting reference to Trump as carnival barker paled in comparison to the president’s insult to many ordinary Americans, who still fight for the light of truth on who Barack Hussein Obama really is.Speaking from a White House microphone within minutes of Donald Trump’s press conference in New Hampshire, Obama made a surprise television appearance, calling the controversy over his birth certificate silliness. Defiant in this supposed come-clean confession before we the people, he was much more insulting to those who never let the question of his eligibility die, indicating with grins and smiles that they had only amused him.We do not have time for this kind of silliness. I’ve got better stuff to do,Obama said. We’re not going to solve our problems if we get distracted by carnival acts and sideshow barkers.
Obama claims he only addressed the issue of his birth certificate because of distraction: Normally, I would not comment on something like this,Obama said, explaining that two weeks ago during the budget debate with Republicans in Congress, he found that the biggest news story was about his birth certificate.While the media credit Trump for this morning’s surprising disclosure, the talk of the birth certificate was kept alive by American patriots, the same ones Obama claims mostly amused and puzzled him.

Even the most powerful man on earth must know that keeping his lifetime documents locked away from the public is akin to getting completely rid of a bloodstain left in a crime scene.On April 27, 2011, some two and a half years on, Obama released what he called the certification of his long form birth certificate.Problem is, in so doing, he left a much bigger question than before for all who care about the American constitution.Why on April 27, 2011?

THE PRESIDENT: Hello, everybody. Now, let me just comment, first of all, on the fact that I can’t get the networks to break in on all kinds of other discussions—(laughter.) I was just back there listening to Chuck—he was saying, it’s amazing that he’s not going to be talking about national security. I would not have the networks breaking in if I was talking about that, Chuck, and you know it.

THE PRESIDENT: As many of you have been briefed, we provided additional information today about the site of my birth. Now, this issue has been going on for two, two and a half years now. I think it started during the campaign. And I have to say that over the last two and a half years I have watched with bemusement, I’ve been puzzled at the degree to which this thing just kept on going. We’ve had every official in Hawaii, Democrat and Republican, every news outlet that has investigated this, confirm that, yes, in fact, I was born in Hawaii, August 4, 1961, in Kapiolani Hospital.We’ve posted the certification that is given by the state of Hawaii on the Internet for everybody to see. People have provided affidavits that they, in fact, have seen this birth certificate. And yet this thing just keeps on going. Now, normally I would not comment on something like this, because obviously there’s a lot of stuff swirling in the press on at any given day and I’ve got other things to do. But two weeks ago, when the Republican House had put forward a budget that will have huge consequences potentially to the country, and when I gave a speech about my budget and how I felt that we needed to invest in education and infrastructure and making sure that we had a strong safety net for our seniors even as we were closing the deficit, during that entire week the dominant news story wasn’t about these huge, monumental choices that we’re going to have to make as a nation. It was about my birth certificate. And that was true on most of the news outlets that were represented here.

And so I just want to make a larger point here. We’ve got some enormous challenges out there. There are a lot of folks out there who are still looking for work. Everybody is still suffering under high gas prices. We’re going to have to make a series of very difficult decisions about how we invest in our future but also get a hold of our deficit and our debt—how do we do that in a balanced way.And this is going to generate huge and serious debates, important debates. And there are going to be some fierce disagreements—and that’s good. That’s how democracy is supposed to work. And I am confident that the American people and America’s political leaders can come together in a bipartisan way and solve these problems. We always have. But we’re not going to be able to do it if we are distracted. We’re not going to be able to do it if we spend time vilifying each other. We’re not going to be able to do it if we just make stuff up and pretend that facts are not facts. We’re not going to be able to solve our problems if we get distracted by sideshows and carnival barkers.We live in a serious time right now and we have the potential to deal with the issues that we confront in a way that will make our kids and our grandkids and our great grandkids proud. And I have every confidence that America in the 21st century is going to be able to come out on top just like we always have. But we’re going to have to get serious to do it.I know that there’s going to be a segment of people for which, no matter what we put out, this issue will not be put to rest. But I’m speaking to the vast majority of the American people, as well as to the press. We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We’ve got better stuff to do. I’ve got better stuff to do. Case closed? Not so fast

27 April 2011: That giant whooshing sound you hear of birther balloons popping with the purported release of the infamous Obama long form Certificate of Live Birth should be met with the level of skepticism it most definitely deserves. Already, there is well deserved controversy swirling about its authenticity, and legitimate questions are being raised about the timing of the release. You can bet that experts representing both camps pertaining to the certificate’s authenticity will have much to say about this document. Regardless, the newly released document does nothing to address the core constitutional issue of eligibility to hold the office of the President of the United States.It is unfortunate that the entire debate ultimately evolved into a myopic gaze that became focused on Obama’s long form birth certificate, as that is merely one aspect of the question concerning eligibility. It is equally unfortunate that the corporate media, shills for Obama and those who fail to understand or deliberately misrepresent the issue will now consider the case closed. It is anything but closed.As we reported in an article titled The unraveling of Barry Soetoro – the sequel, we point out that [t]he issue is much greater than the birth certificate or where Obama was physically born, as he could have been born in the Lincoln bedroom during the Kennedy administration and still be ineligible to hold the office of president under Article II, Section I, Clause 5 of the United States Constitution. As for the definition of a Natural Born Citizen referenced in the constitution, we note that our founders determined that future presidents must be born to two parents who are both U.S. citizens as further defined by the legal reference The Law of Nations or the Principals of Natural Law.The reasoning has to do with allegiance to one country – the United States of America. Given the current state of the U.S. as a world power and the problems we face today, can you not see what our founding fathers were warning against? Obama cannot simultaneously be a citizen of the world, an apologist for our great country, and the leader of our great nation.Something sinister is indeed afoot, and the majority of people are falling for it. Don’t be one of them.
