MASSIVE UNDERWATER VOLCANO DISCOVERED

1-Oic calls on peace(oh ya really). 2-Expect Big California quake anytime now. 3-Japan quake.4-Massive underwater volcanoe discovered.

Notice israel is not mentioned once in this article, some peace process.

PSALMS 83:3-8
3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

OIC calls for stepping up efforts in Mideast peace process

Baku, June 21, Interfax - The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has called for accelerating the peaceful settlement of the Arab-Israeli conflict.A declaration the OIC issued following its 33rd ministerial session in Baku on Wednesday also calls for the establishment of a Palestinian state, the liberation of all Arab territories in Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon, and the return of all Palestinian refugees and displaced persons to their historic land.The participants in the ministerial meeting also declared their support for Iraq's sovereignty and territorial integrity and called on the OIC secretary general to explore practical ways to increase the organization's role in achieving peace and stability in that country.

The declaration also calls for better consolidation of Muslim countries' efforts in resolving common problems and protecting Islamic values from unfounded criticism.The document denounces terrorism in any form and supports international cooperation in fighting it.The participants also insisted that the OIC be appropriately represented at the UN Security Council.They also denounced Islamophobia and welcomed the idea to set up a monitoring center to record these negative trends.

MARK 13:8
8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

REVELATION 16:17-21
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.( the 7 yr treaty is at its end)
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

The 2ND biggest quake in hitory will happen in California, the Biggest occurs when Jesus returns to earth Bodily at the end of the future 7 yr peace treaty in Jerusalem.

That's the take home message from a report published in the current edition of Nature. As almost everyone knows, the Pacific coast of the US sits on the Ring of Fire, regions of high seismic activity that are caused by the junction of the Pacific plate with its neighbors. California sits atop such a junction; the Pacific plate is moving up towards Oregon and Alaska, and rubs against the North American plate. Part of this occurs along the (in)famous San Andreas Fault.

Unfortunately, Los Angeles, the largest city in California, is built right on top of this fault line, and as such is under threat from earthquakes. Using high resolution space-based radar mapping of the region, Prof. Fialko of the Scripps Oceanographic Institute has been analyzing the slip rate of the fault—the distance it moves each year—and has found that the southern region of the San
Andreas Fault is moving slower than the rest. The implications of this are that energy is building up along the southern San Andreas fault, and that southern California may be ready for its next major earthquake.

Seismic forecasting is a science that is in its infancy, so there are no exact predictions as to when such a quake might happen, but the region experiences them every 2-300 years. Further north, San Francisco experienced a major quake in 1906. Luckily, the century that has passed has brought with it a better understanding of how to construct buildings in regions of high seismic activity. Any large earthquake in the region would undoubtedly cause massive economic damage, and residents must be looking at the government's response to Hurricane Katrina and the fiasco that followed with alarm.

Moderate quake hits off northeast Japan Thu Jun 22, 10:06 AM ET

TOKYO - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude 5.7 struck off the coast of Japan's northernmost island of Hokkaido, near Russia's Kuril islands, Japan's Meteorological Agency said Thursday. The quake struck at 7:54 p.m. (6:54 a.m. EDT) at a depth of 56 miles about 62 miles east of Kuril'sk in the Kuril Islands, or about 310 miles northeast of Hokkaido, according to the agency.The temblor was felt only slightly in northern Japan, and there was no danger of tsunami, the agency said. There were also no immediate reports of damage of injuries.Japan, which sits at the juncture of four tectonic plates, is one of the world's most quake-prone countries.

Massive underwater volcano discovered off Sicily By Phil Stewart Thu Jun 22, 1:42 PM

ET ROME (Reuters) - An underwater volcano with a base larger than Washington D.C. has been discovered just off the shores of Sicily, a scientist with Italy's National Institute of Geophysics and Vulcanology said on Thursday. The volcanic structure, which incorporates peaks previously thought to be separate volcanoes, was named Empedocles after the Greek philosopher who named the four classic elements of earth, air, fire and water.Legend has it that the philosopher died by throwing himself into Mount Etna, the nearby Sicilian volcano.Giovanni Lanzafame, who works at the institute and led the research, said Empedocles was at least 400 meters (1,300 feet) high -- taller than the Eiffel Tower.

He said the base of the structure was 30 km (18.6 miles) long and 25 km wide, spanning an area larger than the U.S. capital and making it Italy's largest underwater volcano.But Lanzafame said Sicilians did not need to worry about the sleeping Empedocles. At this point, there's no imminent danger of an eruption, he told Reuters.Lanzafame and another official said the volcano had numerous fumaroles, openings in the Earth's crust that emit steam and gases, like the ones at Yellowstone National Park in the United States. But they described it as largely inactive.The identification of Empedocles came during research into the submerged volcanic island of Ferdinandea just off Sicily's southern coast. Often held to be the tip of a small volcano, Lanzafame said it was just a part of Empedocles.

Volcanic activity has raised the island out of the sea several times in recorded history, with underwater eruptions first described during the first Punic War of 264-241 B.C.Its emergence in 1831 caused months of international wrangling, with several nations making territorial claims before it submerged again. It is now about 7 meters below the surface of the water. Cesare Corselli, president of the National Inter-University Consortium for Marine Science, which helped with the research, said previously the volcanic centers had been seen as separate.People used to think that there were small centers of emission, distant from each other, he said.The hypothesis made by Mr. Lanzafame is that this is a singular volcano that, like alongside Etna as an example, can have a central eruption or a series of lateral eruptions. Lanzafame said he had been working on the theory about the Empedocles's existence for more than a year before being able to confirm it with new survey equipment.
