HOW POPES USED TO DRESS

KING JESUS IS COMING FOR US ANY TIME NOW. THE RAPTURE. BE PREPARED TO GO.

A FALSE PROPHET COMES FROM THE VATICAN ALSO AT THIS TIME.

REVELATION 13:11-18
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth;(FALSE VATICAN POPE) and he had two horns like a lamb,(JESUS IS THE LAMB OF GOD) and he spake as a dragon.(HES SATANICALLY INSPIRED,HES A CHRISTIAN DEFECTOR FROM THE FAITH)
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him,(WORLD DICTATOR) and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.(THE WORLD DICTATOR CREATES A FALSE RESURRECTION AND IS CROWNED LEADER OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER).
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he(FALSE POPE) causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:(CHIP IMPLANT)
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.(6-6-6) A NUMBER SYSTEM

REVELATION 17:1-18
1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication,(VATICAN IN POLITICS) and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman (FALSE CHURCH) was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour,(VATICAN COLOURS)(ANOTHER REASON WE KNOW THE FALSE POPE COMES FROM THE VATICAN) and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

An original piece of research that combines the study of costume and of sacred objects related to the history of the papacy has been the object of much discussion in Genoa. This is following a presentation of the study in Rome, attended by the Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone and Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi

Luca Rolandi Turin
Le vesti dei Papi I parati della Sacrestia Pontificia (Papal dress and the apparel worn in the Papal Sacristy) is a book written by Professor Marzia Cataldi Gallo, a scholar of international renown, who specialises in the field of old textiles and the history of costume. This is the first work that presents the rich heritage of the Papal Sacristy, located behind the Sistine Chapel.

The Sacristy’s spacious chestnut wardrobes hide treasures that have been woven and embroidered over the centuries: from the garments worn by Paul V Borghese (1605-1621) to the pieces worn by the Pope today. The papal vestments make for an incredibly rich heritage that remains unknown to date, especially the papal outfits which are sporadically published in books discussing golden and silver furnishings or occasionally shown in exhibitions. The first book on the topic gives readers the chance to experience two centuries of papal and Church history.

The study of preserved vestments is combined with the analysis of a number of archived documents that reveal the importance of the old outfits and the various stories that led to their preservation or destruction. The analysis of thoroughly kept inventories and account books made it possible to reconstruct the identities and activities of many artists and artisans: embroiderers, the “banderari” – middle class artisans who tailored the vestments and the merchants who supplied the finest materials. All these individuals worked in the service of each respective Pope over the centuries, producing embroidered garments that were then copied all over Europe.

The archive documents are illuminating as they provide accounts of life in the Papal household. On the one hand they reveal information about the considerable expenses incurred and on the other, they show the “recycling” which took place, through the common tradition of Popes re-using their predecessor’s coat of arms, to save on materials. Besides the papal vestments, other components of the Popes’ “daily” dress were also analysed. In particular the superb white cassocks of the Blessed Pope Innocent XI (1676-1689). More that one century since the last complete inventory was made in 1906, this extraordinary and previously unknown heritage is finally revealed. This is also thanks to the precious help of the photographic equipment available.

In a statement to Vatican Insider, the author of the book said: “My desire to carry out this research grew after 30 years of working in the Ligurian sacristies, as a conservator for Liguria’s Regional Board of Artistic and Historical Heritage. My work involved cataloguing and restoring a great number of liturgical vestments (as well as other pieces of art of course). But my passion for old textiles and the history of costume goes back a while before this.”

Mrs. Cataldi Gallo who worked as a civil servant (1984-2008) and head of Liguria’s Regional Board of Artistic and Historical Heritage (2003-2006) commented on the photographic equipment that was of great help to her in this splendid reconstruction, saying: “The photos I used in my study were invaluable in helping me weave my way through the various parameters and in trying to work out which pontificate each piece of clothing belonged to. Daria Vinco’s beautiful photos are vital in presenting this unknown heritage to the public.”

Tomorrow morning departure for Brazil for the 28th World Youth Day Youth Week renamed from Bergoglio

Vatican Insider Staff Rome

On the eve of his departure to Brazil for the World Youth Day celebrations in Rio de Janeiro, Pope Francis from the window of the apostolic palace asked those present in St Peter’s Square to accompany him spiritually in prayer for this his first Apostolic visit He also entrusted what he called “this new stage of the great pilgrimage of young people across the world”, to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who he added, is so loved and venerated in Brazil. The Holy Father was speaking following the recitation of the Angelus underlining that at this time, young people should listen to the voice of Jesus. The week of World Youth Day said the Pope could also be called “World Youth Week as it is a week devoted to youth.Peering down at the huge crowds in St Peter’s Square Pope Francis noticed a banner held up by a group of pilgrims, which read “Buon Viaggio” or “have a good trip”. He smiled and thanked them for their good wishes. The Pope on Sunday also focused his attention on the Gospel reading from Luke which recounts the story of Martha and Mary and their brother Lazarus.Pope Francis described how both sisters offered hospitality to Jesus on his visit to their house, but in different ways. Mary places herself at the feet of Jesus while Martha is busy preparing things. The Holy Father explained that both of these disciplines, service and prayer are needed to serve the Lord, “they are not two opposing attitudes but, on the contrary both are two aspects essential to our Christian life aspects that should never be separated, but lived in profound unity and harmony.”Even in our Christian lives, continued the Pope, prayer and action are always deeply united. A prayer that does not lead to concrete action towards a poor brother, who is sick, and in need of help, is a prayer that is sterile and incomplete. But, equally, Pope Francis said, when in ecclesial service you are careful only to give more attention to objects, functions, and structures, and forget the centrality of Christ, you are likely to serve these earthy things and not God.At the end of the Angelus.

Palestinians say no peace talks without '67 borders agreement

RAMALLAH, West Bank/JERUSALEM (Reuters) - The Palestinians played down on Monday the significance of an imminent meeting in Washington of their top peace envoy with his Israeli counterpart, saying formal negotiation would not begin unless their opening terms were satisfied. The Palestinian position seemed to run counter to U.S. hopes that bringing together Saeb Erekat and Israel's Tzipi Livni in the coming days would kick-start peacemaking stalled for almost three years over Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank.In another setback to the negotiators' meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu planned first to seek cabinet-level approval for the prospective new talks, which were announced by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday. At the time, Kerry, winding up months of intensive and discreet mediation, predicted Erekat and Livni would join him in Washington "to begin initial talks within the next week or so".But that appeared unlikely as Netanyahu, facing skepticism within his rightist governing coalition at the diplomatic drive, wanted to await the next full sitting of his cabinet on July 28 or possibly an earlier session of the smaller security cabinet."It looks like negotiations will begin only next week, not this week," an Israeli official said late on Sunday, disclosing Netanyahu's plans to win over recalcitrant ministers.Netanyahu says the new talks must be held without "preconditions", especially regarding the borders of the state Palestinians want to found in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip, which Israel captured in the 1967 Middle East war.Though it withdrew from Gaza in 2005, Israel deems all of Jerusalem its undivided capital - a status not accepted internationally - and wants to keep swathes of West Bank settlements under any eventual peace accord.Yet the Palestinians insist no negotiations can be held until all sides agree the pre-1967 borders would be their basis.Abbas spokesman Nabil Abu Rdaineh said Erekat had yet to be invited to Washington. When he goes, Abu Rdaineh said, it would be first to determine the framework of any future negotiations."If they reach an agreement over the details, in accordance to the Palestinian demands, then the launch of negotiations will be announced," Abu Rdaineh told Reuters on Monday.
PRISONERS, PLEBISCITES
He said that those demands, relayed by Abbas to Kerry, included Israel's recognition that the two-state solution was predicated on the 1967 borders, and clarifications about its planned release of Palestinian prisoners in a goodwill gesture.Even the latter was dogged with dispute, however.Israel said that, starting in September, it would free 82 Palestinians jailed before 1993, when the sides signed interim peace accords. But Qadoura Fares of the Palestinian Prisoners Club said Abbas wanted 103 long-serving inmates released.
Interviewed by Jordan's Al-Rai newspaper, Abbas said Kerry had "taken our proposal regarding the resumption of the peace process with him" to Washington.Abbas held out the possibility that, should diplomacy remain mired, Palestinians, defying pressure by Israel and the Obama administration - would again appeal to the United Nations at its annual assembly in September to support their borders claim.Denouncing the West Bank settlements as illegal - a view shared by most world powers - Abbas told Al-Rai that Israel should "get out of Palestinian land completely" though he voiced willingness to find a formula addressing its security concerns.A major focus of these is Gaza, which is now under the control of armed Hamas Islamists who spurn coexistence with the Jewish state, question Abbas' authority, and enjoy grassroots support among some Palestinians in the West Bank.Alluding to the risk of Abbas' U.S.-backed administration one day falling to Hamas, Netanyahu has said revived peacemaking could prevent the emergence of a West Bank "terror state".Opinion polls suggest narrow majorities among Palestinians and Israelis for the two-state solution, and both Abbas and Netanyahu plans to put any eventual peace accord to referendums.Even in the absence of a deal, Netanyahu sees value in the effort as "a strategic process to tighten relations with the United States", the Israeli official on condition of anonymity.According to the official, Netanyahu would, in convening Israeli ministers on the talks, emphasize the importance of sticking close to Washington to cope with the overarching threats posed by Iran's disputed nuclear program and by spreading strife in Syria and Egypt.(Additional reporting by Nidal al-Mughrabi; Writing by Dan Williams; Editing by Alison Williams)

Abbas: 'All options open' if peace talks fail

JERUSALEM (AP) — Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas warned in comments published Monday that "all options are open" if the U.S. fails to restart Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. The comments, Abbas' first since U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry announced last week that peace talks may resume for the first time in five years, may be an attempt to exert pressure on the U.S. and Israel to meet Palestinian demands on the terms of formal negotiations.Israeli and Palestinian representatives are to hold preliminary talks in Washington soon. There, the sides are to work out the final details of what Kerry portrayed as broad agreement on the framework for restarting peace talks that collapsed in 2008.Abbas did not name his other options, but referred to last year's upgrade of the Palestinian status at the U.N. At the time, the General Assembly accepted a state of Palestine in the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem — lands Israel captured in 1967 — as a non-member observer state in a largely symbolic gesture.Palestinian officials have said that in the absence of negotiations with Israel, they would seek further U.N. recognition, including membership in U.N. agencies and possible redress against Israeli policies at the International Criminal Court.Israel fears that the Palestinian could make further gains in international bodies and use those positions to act against the Jewish state. In an interview with Al Ra'i, Jordan's largest pro-government daily, Abbas portrayed last year's U.N. recognition as "the most important achievement for the Palestinian state in the past years."The Palestinians want a state in the borders endorsed by the U.N. last year."If there is no agreement to push peace forward, all options are open," Abbas added, referring to a possible collapse of Kerry's mission. The Jordanian newspaper spoke to Abbas on Friday and did not explain why it only published his comments Monday.
Despite Kerry's upbeat announcement last week, it remains unclear if preliminary Israeli-Palestinian meetings in Washington will lead to a resumption of actual negotiations on the terms of a Palestinian state alongside Israel.Abbas spokesman Nabil Abu Rdeneh said Sunday night that the path to formal negotiations with Israel is still blocked. The Washington talks are meant to "overcome the obstacles that still stand in the way of launching negotiations," he said.Gaps remain on three issues Palestinians say need to be settled before talks can begin — the baseline for border talks, the extent of a possible Israeli settlement slowdown and a timetable for releasing long-detained Palestinian prisoners.Israel has been insisting that that peace talks resume without preconditions and that all issues be resolved through dialogue.Tzipi Livni, Israel's chief negotiator, said talks are "complex" but are vital."There is an opportunity not just to hold a dialogue with the Palestinians in order to end the conflict but a chance to form an alliance with the moderates in the region ... in order to act against the extremists," Livni told members of her party Monday.___Associated Press writer Jamal Halaby in Amman, Jordan, contributed reporting.

22 reported dead at Yarmouk camp in Damascus; scores of rebels reportedly slain in battles around capital

Assad’s forces are in the midst of a major offensive in the Damascus area. On Monday, Syrian activists said government troops had killed at least 75 rebel soldiers over 24 hours in battles for control of the capital.
The death toll reported by the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights included 49 rebels killed in an ambush in Damascus’s northeastern suburb of Adra early Sunday. The group said an elite unit loyal to Assad ambushed the rebels as they were trying to push into the city.Syrian state news agency SANA reported the ambush Sunday, without giving a casualty figure. The Observatory reported that another 17 rebels died in fighting Sunday in central Damascus, while another nine were killed in its suburbs.
It was one of the deadliest days for the opposition in the 2-year-old conflict, which has killed over 93,000 people according to the UN.

EU to discuss blacklisting Hezbollah

Today @ 09:21 JULY 22,13
By Nikolaj Nielsen
BRUSSELS - EU foreign affairs ministers in Brussels on Monday (22 July) are set to discuss blacklisting the military wing of the militant Lebanese group Hezbollah.Listing it as a terrorist organisation requires unanimous agreement by all 28 ministers.Sanctions could include possible travel and asset bans. EU officials and leaders would not be allowed contact with any of its members.Hezbollah was established as an organisation in 1982 to spread the late Ayatollah Khomeini’s “Islamic Revolution” among Shiites in Lebanon and throughout the Arab region. The group sees Europe as a base to help finance its activities.Already banned in the Netherlands, the group also endures a number of restrictions elsewhere in the EU.Broadcasts from its Al-Manar TV station are blocked in France, Germany, and Spain.Bulgaria’s Minister of the Interior Tsvetan Tsvetanov accused the group of a 2012 bomb attack on a bus in Burgas, which killed five Israeli tourists and their Bulgarian driver.Investigations into the attack are still ongoing, casting doubts on the evidence of the group’s involvement and Tsvetanov’s finger-pointing.Meanwhile, Hezbollah’s open support of Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad and his brutal two-year campaign to stamp out rebel groups may have increased the pressure in Brussels to place them on the EU terrorist watch list. The UK wants to separate the civil and military wing of the group and ban the latter. The idea has gained the support of Germany and France.
But other member states express concerns a ban could undermine Lebanon’s fragile stability.Along with the Czech Republic, Ireland, Italy and Poland, Austria voiced concerns in June over British moves to put the group on the EU terrorist list. Both Austria and Ireland have peacekeepers stationed at the Golan Heights and are concerned that a more radical Hezbollah would increase tensions in the region. For its part, Lebanon says the ban could radicalise the movement and urged Brussels on Friday not to place it on its EU terrorist watch list.It described the militant group as an "essential component of Lebanese society."

The girls are said to have been abducted and raped by twenty men wearing masks. A missionary has said “it’s always the weak who are targeted and two many cases are covered up”

vatican insider staff rome Four tribal girls who went to a Christian school in the village of Labda in the Indian state of Pakur (Jharkhand) were abducted from their dormitory at night and raped by a group of twenty masked men. This chilling incident is yet another case in a series of indiscriminate rapes that go unpunished in India, Catholic news agency Fides reports. The incident took place on 14 July but has only been reported to Fides now, by Catholic Secular Forum, a local NGO. The girls are all between the ages of 12 and 14 and belong to the Pahariya tribal group. The girls are currently in hospital.According to Fides, around 25 masked men carrying knives broke in to the residential school run by Evangelical Church of India at 11 pm on 14 July. There are about 135 students enrolled on vocational course at the school, 60 of whom are minors (14 years old). Most of them come from tribal families or marginalised groups. The school does not have a security system in place and its position on a hill, makes it quite isolated. During the planned intrusion, the men quickly tied up and gagged four teachers who were on the school grounds at the time before abducting the four girls. They were then taken away and raped for two hours and released at 1 am.The school’s head teachers informed the police who then accompanied the girls to a hospital in Pakur. They promised the girls they would do all that was in their power “to track down and punish the men who committed this horrific crime.” Fr. Faustine Lobo, Director of India’s Pontifical Mission Society, said he was hurt and saddened by this umpteenth rape case. He told Fides: “On the one hand society is more aware of the rape problem which is no longer kept under wraps. In the past, cases like this never came to light, mostly because victims felt ashamed and families were too fearful. Today these cases are reported and receive media coverage. This is already a positive sign.” “The main problem is impunity. The preferred victims are girls from tribal, Dalit or marginalised communities. These groups are vulnerable, weak, they have very little social and political influence and are often defenceless,” Fr. Lobo said. The Catholic Church has suggested a stricter implementation of the law. The priest told Fides that the phenomenon is not so much linked to “communitarianism” as it is to an “inefficient legal and political system.” “Current laws would be useful in preventing and punishing such crimes if they were actually applied, but they are not. This is mainly because of the corruption that exists among police officers or administration officials who cover up these cases. It is a despicable crime which demeans women’s dignity which we, as Christians, have always upheld,” the priest said.

Clashes in France Over Enforcing Veil Ban

At least five people were injured, including four police officers, when a mob rioted in a Paris suburb over enforcement of the ban on full-face veils in France.
Six were detained in the violence that struck the small town in Trappes Friday night, as 250 rioters hurled rocks at police, about 17 miles west of Paris. A bus shelter was shattered and a number of trash bins were torched, setting flames rising to the sky. A 14-year-old boy was hit in the eye by one of the flying objects in the melee, and suffered a serious injury as a result.Officers responded with crowd control measures that included the use of tear gas.The violence was ignited following a protest over the arrest of a man whose wife had received a ticket on Thursday for wearing a full-face veil, in violation of French law.In response, her husband attempted to strangle the officer who was issuing the ticket, a prosecutor told reporters.Such tickets carry small fines or citizenship classes for the women who wear the veils, banned since 2011. In addition, the law carries a 30,000 euro fine for anyone (husband or Islamic cleric) or who forces a woman to wear one.
In addition to the ban on veils, France also bars head scarves in schools and public buildings, which affects observant Jewish women as well, many of whom also cover their hair with scarves.Local town official Erard Cordin de Mangoux told Sky News, “The police forces will remain in position for as long as necessary, not as provocation but for reasons of security, to give the 30,000 Trappes residents a sense of security and serenity,” he said.

The Pope on his visit to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore last 4 May

Today the Pope paid a surprise visit to the basilica which is home to the Salus Populi Romani, the most important Marian icon in Rome. This is the fourth time the Pope has visited the basilica

ANDREA TORNIELLI vatican city Just before 5 pm this afternoon, Pope Francis visited the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore to ask the Virgin Mary to protect him on his upcoming apostolic visit to Brazil, as well as the young people who will be taking part in World Youth Day and all young people across the world, Vatican spokesman Fr. Federico Lombardi said in a statement. The Pope arrived at the basilica at around 16:45 and was greeted by Cardinal Archpriest Santos Abril y Castelló. He came in from the side door, where the sacristy is and went straight to the chapel where the Salus Populi Romani, the famous icon of the Virgin Mary which protects the city of Rome, is enshrined. The basilica’s canons and the community of Dominican friars who carry out the ministry of confessions were there waiting for him.“The Pope prayed silently before the Marian icon for over half an hour. He then laid some flowers before the icon and lit a candle bearing the Rio de Janeiro World Youth Day logo,” Fr. Lombardi explained.  The basilica remained open to the public and numerous faithful and visitors were present as the Pope made these gestures. Before leaving the basilica, Francis stopped before the central altar, where he was briefly greeted by the cardinal archpriest of the basilica and addressed some words to the faithful, asking them for their prayers, trust and penitence during his visit to Brazil where he is due to meet youth from all across the world. The Pope’s visit to the basilica lasted just over an hour and at 6 pm he returned to the Vatican.Today’s important appearance at Santa Maria Maggiore ahead of his trip to Brazil, marks Francis’ fourth visit to the Marian basilica. He went there the morning after his election to the pontificate to lay some flowers before the Salus Populi Romani icon and ask the Virgin Mary to protect the city of Rome. He returned on 4 May, the month dedicated to the Virgin Mary, to recite the rosary. He also went there on the Feast of Corpus Christi, at the end of the procession that left the Basilica of St. John Lateran.

17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

Tensions simmer in Israel coalition over possible Palestine talks

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's tentative agreement to revive U.S.-sponsored peace talks with the Palestinians met skepticism and scorn on Sunday from some members of his rightist coalition government, including within his own party. With no date yet set for negotiations to begin, let alone a public blueprint for their terms, Netanyahu did not yet appear at risk of a political crisis. Rare praise for him from the center-left opposition suggested they were willing to replace any nationalist allies he might lose over a future peace accord.Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas have been tight-lipped about the prospective talks, in keeping with the discretion requested by U.S. Secretary John Kerry, who announced the breakthrough on Friday after months of intensive mediation.Washington hopes to host Israeli and Palestinian negotiators within a week for the launch of "final-status" talks on founding a Palestinian state alongside the Jewish state, in territories the latter captured in the 1967 Middle East war.
But Netanyahu's partner in the ruling Likud Beitenu faction, Avigdor Lieberman, ridiculed the idea that anything more than an interim accord might be achieved in the decades-old conflict."It's important to negotiate, and even more important for negotiations to be predicated on realism and not illusions," Lieberman wrote on Facebook. "There is no solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, at least not in the coming years, and what's possible and important to do is conflict-management."Transport Minister Yisrael Katz of Likud mocked Abbas, whose U.S.-backed administration holds limited sway in the occupied West Bank while the Palestinian enclave of Gaza is controlled by Islamist Hamas rivals opposed to co-existence with Israel.
"Abu Mazen (Abbas) rules over Palestinians less than (President Bashar) Assad rules in Syria," Katz told reporters, referring to the more than two-year-old Islamist-led insurgency wracking Damascus, another enemy of the Jewish state."Just as no one would consider ceding any territory to Assad in the current situation, so certainly no one is thinking seriously of ceding territory to Abu Mazen at time when he doesn't completely rule over most of the Palestinian population."Israel said on Saturday, however, that it would meet Abbas's call to free scores of Palestinian prisoners held since before the sides began diplomatic contacts in 1993.Negotiations have waxed and waned since, last breaking down in late 2010 when an Israeli moratorium on settlement construction in occupied territory expired.
DIFFICULT DECISIONS
Challenged in the past over domestically divisive issues like whether to engage the Palestinians or to go to war over Iran's nuclear program, Netanyahu has sought to reassure Israelis that he was strong enough to make difficult decisions."The negotiations will not be easy," he told his cabinet on Sunday in remarks aired by Israeli broadcasters."But we are entering them with integrity and frankness in the hope that this process will be handled responsibly, in a serious and purposeful manner - and I have to say, at least during the first stages, discreetly."He repeated past pledges to put any accord to a national referendum. Opinion polls reflect majority Israeli support for a two-state solution with the Palestinians, though less so for removing Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank.A weaker-than-expected showing in a January general election meant Likud Beitenu had to cobble together a coalition with upstart parties like the religious-nationalist Jewish Home, which opposes Palestinian sovereignty and champions settlements.Economy Minister Naftali Bennett, leader of Jewish Home, threatened last week to quit the government should it accept, as a basis for negotiations, the Palestinians' demand that the borders of their state approximate the West Bank and Gaza lines. But he sounded more circumspect on Sunday, apparently reassured by Israel's statements that it would be under no "preconditions" for the talks, including a long-standing Palestinian call for a freeze on settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem."Our insistence on our principles has paid off," he said in a statement. "With the start of negotiations, we will insist on continuing normal life and building in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria (West Bank) ... We embark on this journey with caution and with our eyes open. Naive, we are not."Israeli political commentators noted that Jewish Home, one of whose ministers holds the housing portfolio, had complained for months about a de facto slowdown in settlement construction ordered by Netanyahu - yet stayed in government. Were the party to quit in protest at an eventual Palestine treaty, Netanyahu could expect to find center-left Labor, which currently heads the Israeli political opposition, as a stand-in."We are following these moves with amity and support," Labor leader Shelly Yachimovich told Israel Radio, referring to Netanyahu's willingness to enter talks expected to last months."If, during this year, there will be a point when we are on the eve of an accord, truly on the eve of a real, documented drama, and we see the partners from the extreme right leaving Netanyahu's coalition, then certainly we will reconsider entering the government. It is not because of us that peace will be lost," she said.(Editing by Mark Heinrich)

POISONED WATERS

HOSEA 4:1-3
1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land,(EARTH) because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2  By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
3  Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

ZEPHANIAH 1:2-3
2  I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the LORD.
3  I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD.

EZEKIEL 32:6-9
6  I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of thee.
7  And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.
8  All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord GOD.
9  I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known.

REVELATION 8:8-11
8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood:(bitter,Poisoned) and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.(poisoned)

REVELATION 16:3-7
3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.(enviromentalists won't like this result)
4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
6 For they(False World Church and Dictator) have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

Red algae latest danger to Ohio lakes

Ohio Environmental Protection Agency
Ohio officials are monitoring the lake at Dillon State Park for a reoccurrence of red algae. The algae, which turn water blood red and contain a toxin similar to fire-ant venom, appeared at Dillon Lake last summer, shown here. “It’s a new issue. It’s literally something we hadn’t seen before,” EPA spokeswoman Dina Pierce said.

Ohio officials are on the lookout for toxic algae that turn water blood-red and produce a poison similar to fire-ant venom. The red algae first appeared in a cove in Dillon State Park’s lake last summer, more than a half-mile north of the park’s beach. Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Natural Resources officials are watching the 1,376-acre Muskingum County lake and other public waterways this summer to see whether the algae return. They’re called Euglena sanguinea, and they might make the state re-evaluate its warning system for swimmers. Now, warnings are triggered when the more-common blue-green algae pose a health threat.Mark Bruce, a spokesman with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, said warnings were not posted at Dillon last summer because tests of beach water in July and August didn’t detect hazardous concentrations of a liver toxin produced by blue-green algae. Those tests don’t detect the red algae’s toxin. Officials are reading up on the new algae and the threats they might pose, said Dina Pierce, an Ohio EPA spokeswoman.“It’s a new issue. It’s literally something we hadn’t seen before,” Pierce said. “If it occurs again, we will work with our partner state agencies to get samples analyzed to understand it better and make decisions.”The algae were first identified by researchers at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi’s Center for Coastal Studies in 2004, after fish died at a North Carolina aquaculture farm.“People with the state agricultural service were stumped by it,” said Paul Zimba, a microbiologist and the center’s director.Zimba said his lab since has found Euglena sanguinea in water samples from Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi, and other parts of the world. He said he thinks that the red algae are like blue-green algae in that they are common in most lakes but grow thick in warm, still water and feed on phosphorus from manure, sewage and fertilizers that rainstorms wash into streams.Blue-green algae, also called cyanobacteria, produce liver and nerve toxins that can sicken people and kill pets.Certain cyanobacteria species also are red, said David Culver, an Ohio State University limnologist, which is a person who studies inland lakes. Ohio EPA drinking-water officials reported a red species of cyanobacteria called Planktothrix rubescens in Lima’s Williams reservoir in November.Ohio EPA officials listed the Lima and Dillon red-algae blooms in a memo that stated that the city of Toledo spent $200,000 a month last year to remove Lake Erie toxins from its drinking water.Blue-green algae warnings posted this summer at Grand Lake St. Marys in western Ohio and at East Fork State Park in Clermont County advise that swimming and wading are not recommended for senior citizens, young children and anyone with a compromised immune system. In lab tests, the toxin produced by Euglena s anguinea killed fish, mice and rats.“It seems to be a neurotoxin,” Zimba said.He said officials should post warnings for the red algae at beaches.Officials with the Ohio EPA, Natural Resources and the Department of Health meet each year to evaluate the state’s harmful-algae strategy.According to this year’s strategy, they are to look for any red blooms and send water samples to Zimba’s lab in Texas. For the time being, the EPA has this advice: “If it doesn’t look right, don’t go in,” Pierce said.shunt@dispatch.com -@CDEnvironment

Magnitude 6.5 quake hits Wellington, New Zealand

Help
A series of earthquakes have struck New Zealand, with the strongest measuring 6.5 in magnitude hitting the coast off Wellington.Tony Vale, news editor at Radio New Zealand, said the city seemed to have escaped serious damage, partly because of the design of many of the buildings. He said people did not seem too concerned, adding that the entertainment district was "going at full bore even now; restaurants and bars are full."

Comet of the Century' Speeds to Earth: New Hubble Image of ISON

First Posted: Jul 18, 2013 10:31 AM EDT
Comet ISON
This image of Comet ISON was made by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope on April 30, 2013, when the comet was about 400 million miles from Earth and about 363 million miles from the Sun between the orbits of the planets Mars and Jupiter. (Photo : NASA, ESA, and the Hubble Heritage Team (STScI/AURA))
Comet ISON, dubbed the "comet of the century," is rapidly approaching Earth. With its spectacular tail trailing dust and particles, this comet is expected to shine bright in the sky come November. Yet NASA is getting an early look at ISON; the agency has used the Hubble Space Telescope to observe the comet as it streaks across space.ISON is a comet, which means that it's made up of a combination of ice, frozen dust and gas. As it nears the sun, it trails debris in its wake; this creates the spectacular tail that you can see in Hubble's latest image. The newest image combines two Hubble filters. One filter lets in red light while the other lets in a greenish-yellow color. This allows for the spectacular colors that you can see in the backdrop of space behind the comet.
http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/swift/bursts/ison.html

There's no guarantee that ISON really will be the comet of the century, though. How bright it is largely depends on evaporation rates and how quickly it sheds its dust and water. In April, researchers found that the comet was shedding about 112,000 pounds of dust and 130 pounds of water every minute. At the time, this meant that the water sublimation wasn't yet powering ISON's "jets" since it was still too far away from the sun.Currently, researchers still aren't sure exactly how bright ISON will be. Yet the new image does show that it's continuing its steady trek toward the sun. In the picture, the comet appears fuzzier since the scientists kept the telescope trained on the background stars instead of following the comet. This gives the image the deep, rich background as photons from the Milky Way's stars and even more distant galaxies pile up over time in the same pixels. While ISON's fate is uncertain, it's continuing to journey toward the sun. It's possible that the intensifying solar radiation from the peak of the sun's 11-year solar cycle could potentially help break the comet into pieces. Otherwise, though, ISON will put on a spectacular show in November. Train your eyes on the skies; we may be in for the comet of the century.

Comet ISON month-by-month in late 2013.
By on Jun 13, 2013
August 2013. As seen from Earth, Comet ISON will be behind the sun in June and July, 2013. When it returns to Earth’s sky in late August, it might be bright enough to be seen by observers using small telescopes at dark locations.

September and October 2013. Comet ISON will brighten as the months pass. In September and October, amateur astronomers will surely be trying to pick it up. The comet will be sweeping in front of the constellation Leo then. It’ll pass first near Leo’s brightest star Regulus, then near the planet Mars. Maybe you can see the comet with binoculars then, and maybe these brighter objects will help you find it.
November 2013. Comet ISON will continue to brighten throughout November as it nears its late November perihelion (closest point to our sun). Comet expert John Bortle wrote on June 13 that he expects the comet to reach visibility to the unaided eye about three weeks before the November 28 perihelion date. In November, ISON will pass very close to the bright star Spica and the planet Saturn, both in the constellation Virgo. These bright stars might help you find the comet. At perihelion, the comet will come within 800,000 miles – 1.2 million kilometers, or about one sun-diameter – of our sun’s surface. If all goes well, and the comet doesn’t fragment, the terrific heating Comet ISON will undergo when it’s closest to our parent star might turn the comet into a very bright object. It may also form a long comet tail around this time. There has been some mention that Comet ISON could even become a daylight object, briefly. Remember, though, at perihelion, Comet ISON will appear close to the sun on the sky’s dome (only 4.4° north of the sun on November 28). Although the comet will be bright, it’s likely that only experts who know how to look near the sun, while blocking the sun’s glare, will see it.

December 2013. This is likely to be the best month to see Comet ISON, assuming it has survived its close pass near the sun intact. The comet will be visible both in the evening sky after sunset and in the morning sky before sunrise. As ISON’s distance from the sun increases, it’ll grow dimmer. Comet expert John Bortle wrote on June 13:
The crescendo of the apparition will likely occur between December 10th and 14th, when the comet will be best seen just before dawn after the moon sets. Although little or perhaps nothing of the head will remain, the huge tail will loom in the northeastern sky. Almost evenly illuminated over its length, this rapidly fading appendage could [span] almost a quarter of the heavens as seen under good, dark observing conditions.
People all over Earth will be able to see it, but it’ll be best seen from the Northern Hemisphere as 2013 draws to a close.

January 2014. Will ISON still be visible to the eye? Hopefully. Only time will tell. On January 8, 2014, the comet will lie only 2° from Polaris — the North Star. And here’s something else that’s fun. On January 14-15, 2014, after the comet itself has passed but when Earth is sweeping near the comet’s orbit, it might produce a meteor shower, or at least some beautiful night-shining or noctilucent clouds.

How bright will Comet ISON be? How long will its tail be? No one can answer these questions yet, but many are excited about this comet, and many astronomers are talking about it. Some are beginning to speak of media hype that always surrounds events of this kind. In his June 13 article published at skyandtelescope.com, comet expert John Bortle explained the reason we can’t know yet how bright Comet ISON will be:
A close solar pass can disrupt and evaporate a comet’s nucleus completely. The intrinsically faintest sungrazer to survive its brush with the sun reasonably intact was Comet Ikeya-Seki in 1965. The long-tailed sungrazers seen in 1880 and 1887 experienced total disruption of their nuclei and dissipated completely within weeks after perihelion. The latest observations of Comet ISON suggest that it’s intrinsically about as bright as those 19th-century objects, so the survival of its head much beyond November 28 is in question.
However, ISON is decidedly brighter than the recent Comet Lovejoy, which totally disrupted and, despite this or perhaps because of it, put on a spectacular long-tailed show for Southern Hemisphere observers at the end of 2011.
Bortle also said that – from January through May of this year – Comet ISON did not brighten as much as astronomers had predicted it would, as it makes its way toward the inner solar system. The comet is not visible in June or July (the sun is between us and it), but it will be back in view around the end of August. You can be sure astronomers will be watching then to see how bright it appears at that time.

Who discovered Comet ISON? Eastern European and Russian astronomers announced the new comet on September 24, 2012. Discovery magnitude was 18.8 – in other words, extremely faint. Vitali Nevski of Vitebsk, Belarus and Artyom Novichonok of Kondopoga, Russia spotted the comet on CCD images obtained on September 21 with a 0.4-m f/3 Santel reflector of the International Scientific Optical Network (ISON) near Kislovodsk, Russia. Afterwards, astronomers at Remanzacco Observatory in Italy confirmed the comet’s presence with the image above.
Comet Lovejoy was a sight to behold from Earth's Southern Hemisphere in late 2011. Here the comet is reflected in the water of Mandurah Esturary near Perth on December 21, 2011. Image Credit: Colin Legg.

Will Comet ISON live up to expectations? Comet ISON might break up into fragments, as the much-hyped Comet Elenin did around August 2011.On the other hand, Comet ISON might survive its encounter with the sun as Comet Lovejoy did in late 2011. If so, it might go on to illuminate our skies with its beauty. And there is one thing we can count on. That is, if Comet ISON does become a bright comet, visible to the eyes of watching earthlings, it will be beautiful. All bright comets are.No doubt about it … comets have a mystique. Once considered omens of doom, we now know them as icy visitors from the outer solar system that sweep near our sun, then disappear again into the depths of space, perhaps never to return. People get excited about comets. They are temporary visitors to our region of the solar system. This comet will be no exception.Bottom line: Comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) is headed for a close encounter with our sun in 2013 and might become a spectacular sight from all of Earth around November and December of this year. Or it might not. This post contains a month-by-month viewing guide, some history of the comet, and a word about what to expect from Comet ISON.

Cosmic radio bursts point to cataclysmic origins

IMAGE: CSIRO's Parkes radio telescope, which has been used to confirm a population of Fast Radio Bursts, is shown superimposed on an image showing the distribution of gas in our Galaxy....

Mysterious bursts of radio waves originating from billions of light years away have left the scientists who detected them speculating about their origins. The international research team, writing in the journal Science, rule out terrestrial sources for the four fast radio bursts and say their brightness and distance suggest they come from cosmological distances when the Universe was just half its current age.The burst energetics indicate that they originate from an extreme astrophysical event involving relativistic objects such as neutron stars or black holes.
Study lead Dan Thornton, a PhD student at England's University of Manchester and Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, said the findings pointed to some extreme events involving large amounts of mass or energy as the source of the radio bursts. He said: "A single burst of radio emission of unknown origin was detected outside our Galaxy about six years ago but no one was certain what it was or even if it was real, so we have spent the last four years searching for more of these explosive, short-duration radio bursts. This paper describes four more bursts, removing any doubt that they are real. The radio bursts last for just a few milliseconds and the furthest one that we detected was 11 billion light years away."
Astonishingly, the findings -- taken from a tiny fraction of the sky -- also suggest that there should be one of these signals going off every 10 seconds. Max-Planck Institute Director and Manchester professor, Michael Kramer, explained: "The bursts last only a tenth of the blink of an eye. With current telescopes we need to be lucky to look at the right spot at the right time. But if we could view the sky with 'radio eyes' there would be flashes going off all over the sky every day."The team, which included researchers from the UK, Germany, Italy, Australia and the US, used the CSIRO Parkes 64metre radio telescope in Australia to obtain their results.Co-author Professor Matthew Bailes, from the Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, thinks the origin of these explosive bursts may be from magnetic neutron stars, known as 'magnetars'. He said: "Magnetars can give off more energy in a millisecond than our Sun does in 300,000 years and are a leading candidate for the burst."The researchers say their results will also provide a way of finding out the properties of space between the Earth and where the bursts occurred. Author Dr Ben Stappers, from Manchester's School of Physics and Astronomy, said: "We are still not sure about what makes up the space between galaxies, so we will be able to use these radio bursts like probes in order to understand more about some of the missing matter in the Universe. We are now starting to use Parkes and other telescopes, like the Lovell Telescope of the University of Manchester, to look for these bursts in real time."
