Israel-Palestinian violence erupts on three borders

JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Israeli troops shot Palestinian protesters who surged toward its frontiers with Syria, Lebanon and Gaza on Sunday, killing at least 13 people on the day Palestinians mourn the establishment of Israel in 1948.In the deadliest such confrontation in years of anniversary clashes usually confined to the West Bank and Gaza, Israeli forces opened fire in three separate border locations to prevent crowds of demonstrators from crossing frontier lines.The new challenge to Israel came from the borders of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Gaza -- all home to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who fled or were driven out in 1948.Combined with a public relations disaster last year over the killing of pro-Palestinian activists in a Gaza aid flotilla and a determined Palestinian diplomatic drive to win U.N. recognition of statehood in September this year, the bloody border protests raised the stakes further for Israel.Israel's leaders condemned the incidents as provocations inspired by Iran, to exploit Palestinian nationalist feeling fueled by the popular revolts of the Arab Spring,and to draw attention from major internal unrest in Syria, Iran's ally.Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he hoped the confrontations would not escalate.We hope the calm and quiet will quickly return. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, whose Fatah movement holds sway in the Israeli occupied West Bank and is ready to negotiate peace with Israel, said in a televised address that those killed were martyrs to the Palestinian cause.Their precious blood will not be wasted. It was spilled for the sake of our nation's freedom,Abbas said.

HAMAS PRAISES CLASHES

But Islamist Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip and which last month sealed a surprise reconciliation pact with its bitter rival Fatah, issued a warning that Palestinians would accept nothing less than return to all lands lost in 1948.
Spokesman Taher Al-Nono praised the crowds we have seen in Palestine, Egypt, Syria, and Lebanon as evidence of imminent victory and return to the original homes as promised by God.In an apparent contradiction of suggestions that Hamas might ditch its rejection of Israel's right to exist, he said there was no alternative to recovering all land lost in 1948.Israeli security forces had been on alert for violence on Sunday, the day Palestinians mourn the Nakba, or catastrophe, of Israel's founding in a 1948 war, when hundreds of thousands of their brethren fled or were forced to leave their homes.A call had gone out on Facebook urging Palestinians to demonstrate on Israel's borders.Lebanon's army said 10 Palestinians died as Israeli forces shot at rock-throwing protesters to prevent them from entering the Jewish State from Lebanese territory.They said 112 people had been wounded in the shooting incident in the Lebanese border village of Maroun al-Ras.The protesters overcame the Lebanese army and marched toward the security fence and started throwing stones, Reuters cameraman Ezzat Baltaji said, from Maroun al-Ras village.Syrian media reports said Israeli gunfire killed two people after dozens of Palestinians infiltrated the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights from Syria, along a front line that has been largely tranquil for decades.Syria condemned Israel's criminal activities.This appears to be a cynical and transparent act by the Syrian leadership to deliberately create a crisis on the border so as to distract attention from the very real problems that regime is facing at home,said a senior Israeli government official, who declined to be named.Syria is a police state. People don't randomly approach the border without the approval of the regime.On Sunday, hundreds of protesters flooded the lush green valley that marks the border area, waving Palestinian flags. Israeli troops attempted to mend the breached fence, firing at what the army described as infiltrators.We are seeing here an Iranian provocation, on both the Syrian and the Lebanese frontiers, to try to exploit the Nakba day commemorations,said the army's chief spokesman, Brigadier-General Yoav Mordechai.

Syria is home to 470,000 Palestinian refugees and its leadership, now facing fierce internal unrest, had in previous years prevented protesters from reaching the frontier area.To the southeast, on Jordan's desert border with Israel, Jordanian police fired teargas to disperse hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists gathered at a border village.Israeli forces did not fire over the Jordanian border.On Israel's tense border with Gaza, Israeli gunfire wounded 82 demonstrators nearing the fence, medics said. Israeli forces said they shot a man trying to plant a bomb near the border.In Tel Aviv, Israel's commercial hub, a truck driven by an Arab Israeli slammed into vehicles and pedestrians, killing one man and injuring 17 people.
Police were trying to determine whether that incident was an accident or an attack. Witnesses said the driver, who was arrested, deliberately ran amok with his truck in traffic.In the Israeli-occupied West Bank, Palestinian youths and Israeli forces clashed for hours at the main checkpoint dividing the Ramallah from Jerusalem, a constant flashpoint.Palestinians threw rocks and soldiers fired rubber bullets and teargas to drive them away from the Qalandia checkpoint.In Egypt, police fired teargas to force back several hundred pro-Palestinian demonstrators who had broken through a barricade in front of the Israeli embassy in Cairo, witnesses said.

And we will deal with them in the future, Barak said.The day's bloodshed will complicate decisions to be made by President Barack Obama, who is due to deliver a major Middle East policy speech on Thursday.U.S.-brokered peace talks between the Palestinians and Israel broke down last year and no new negotiations are in the offing, with the U.S. Middle East peace envoy George Mitchell announcing his resignation last week.

Israel blocks anti-war activists' ship from Gaza

JERUSALEM – The Israeli military on Monday blocked a Malaysian anti-war group's ship from reaching the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.Israel maintains a naval blockade of Gaza and restricts goods transferred overland to the Palestinian territory, citing concerns they could be used to attack Israel.The military said it ordered the ship to return to an Egyptian port where it had been anchored for several days. But it said the vessel disregarded the order, prompting it to fire warning shots. The ship then changed course to return to Egypt.The Malaysian group, the Perdana Global Peace Foundation, said its ship was fired at when it tried to reach Gaza. The military denied firing at the ship.

Perdana said no one was injured.

Gaza's prime minister, Ismail Haniyeh, condemned what he called Israeli piracy and urged other flotillas to attempt to break the Israeli blockade so Gaza can have freedom of movement to the outside world.An aid flotilla is scheduled to depart for Gaza in the third week of June, about a year after Israeli forces raided a similar flotilla and killed nine people on a Turkish boat, the Mavi Marmara.Israeli military officials have confirmed that preparations are under way to stop any new flotilla.

Maple sees TMX proposal allowing for int'l growth

Euro zone to back Portugal aid, IMF deputy to attend

BRUSSELS/ATHENS (Reuters) – Euro zone finance ministers are expected to approve the EU/IMF bailout of Portugal at a meeting on Monday and will discuss further steps Greece must take to meet deficit-reduction targets.The meeting, overshadowed by the arrest of International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn on sexual assault charges, will also assess demands by Finland that private sector investors carry more of the risk in Portugal's aid package, and that the country begin privatizations to raise capital.Strauss-Kahn, who has been at the heart of EU/IMF negotiations over bailouts for Greece, Portugal and Ireland, was supposed to attend the meeting, but Deputy Managing Director Nemat Shafik will be there instead, the organization said.His absence from the top rank of IMF decision-making is not expected to affect any of the bailouts in the short term, but could have an impact in the longer term if it leads to a change in the nature and style of the IMF's involvement.Strauss-Kahn, who has been at the IMF for nearly four years, is seen as having made the organization less doctrinaire when it comes to providing assistance to struggling sovereign countries, leading it to take a less strict, more pro-growth stance.The European Commission, which negotiated the Portuguese bailout and earlier assistance packages for Greece and Ireland alongside the IMF, dismissed suggestions Strauss-Kahn's arrest would have any impact on any of the programs.I would like to reassure public opinion, the markets and the press, there's absolutely no question: decisions which are under way will not be impacted and this will not have an impact on the programs being applied,Commission spokesman Amadeu Altafaj told reporters.
Ahead of the meeting, sources said EU and IMF inspectors would tell euro zone finance ministers they were not yet happy with Greece's proposed budget steps and that more talks were needed on fiscal and privatizations plans.

DIFFERENT TERMS FOR PORTUGAL?

Portugal's 78 billion euro bailout, finalized this month, will involve loans over three years to provide budget support, aid with reforms and help with recapitalizing its banks.The plan needs to be approved unanimously by euro zone finance ministers. Finland's parliament set conditions for its approval on Friday, saying Lisbon had to ask private bondholders to maintain their exposure to Portuguese debt and that Lisbon should embark on a privatization program to raise funds.If euro zone finance ministers agree to the Finnish demands, it will mark a change from the terms given to Ireland and Greece, which did not mention any need for private investors to maintain their exposure to the countries' debt.I believe the program fulfils all their conditions and their concerns, Portugal's finance minister, Fernando Teixeira dos Santos, told reporters as he arrived for the meeting.I am confident the program will raise no big issues in our discussions this afternoon.Ministers are expected to agree that Portugal will pay an interest rate of between 5.5 and 6.0 percent for its loans.That is in line with the borrowing cost set by the initial euro zone agreement on emergency funding through the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF), rather than a more favorable EFSF lending rate EU leaders suggested in March.Euro zone leaders lowered Greek loan rates, originally about 5.2 percent, to 4.2 percent in March. But the 5.8 percent on loans to Ireland was not cut, because of a dispute over its company tax rate, which France and Germany see as too low.Ministers, including the Irish finance minister, said there would be no movement on Ireland's loans on Monday.Despite its lower borrowing costs, Greece is pushing for an extension of the maturities on its loans and possibly an even lower interest rate, because it is struggling to finance itself, with total debts now at 150 percent of GDP.

RESTRUCTURING?

Many analysts expect Greece to have to restructure its debts at some point, but the European Commission, European Central Bank and others have repeatedly ruled out the possibility.Debt restructuring is not in the cards for Greece, the Commission's Altafaj said on Monday, although he later did not rule out a reprofiling of Greece's debt.Some analysts have described reprofiling as akin to rescheduling, with the value of the debt not being marked down but the time for repayment being extended, thus changing the profile of the yield curve and giving the debtor more time to repay.Reprofiling is one concept, debt restructuring is a different concept, Altafaj said.It doesn't involve necessarily even the same players and doesn't have the same consequences,he said, adding that restructuring Greek debt would be devastating for the country.Dutch Finance Minister Jan Kees De Jager said finance ministers discussed all sorts of issues, including restructuring, privately, but would not do so publicly.A euro zone source involved in the preparations for the ministers' meeting told Reuters additional Greek financing needs in 2012 and 2013 would be discussed.The source said countries in the single currency area could come up with additional funding for Greece only if Athens met the fiscal consolidation and reform targets to which it is already committed, and which would require new steps.

Oil falls as fears about Gulf flooding ease

Benchmark oil for June delivery fell 89 cents to $98.76 a barrel in Monday morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange.In London, Brent crude for June delivery fell 33 cents to $112.98 on the ICE Futures exchange.Over the weekend the Army Corps of Engineers opened two massive gates at the Morganza spillway in an effort to protect Baton Rouge, La., and New Orleans from Mississippi River floodwaters.Meanwhile, gas pump prices are beginning to fall with oil lower. The national average is $3.955 a gallon for regular. That's still nearly 14 cents more than a month ago but down about half a cent from a week ago.

Tipped to become French President Nicolas Sarkozy's main rival in the 2012 elections, Strauss-Kahn was detained in New York on Sunday shortly after boarding a flight to Germany, where he was to hold talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel ahead of the eurozone talks on Monday.The US court is to hold a first hearing later today, after a 32-year old maid accused him of trying to rape her in a luxury suite in the Sofitel hotel.She told detectives he came out of the bathroom naked, ran down a hallway to the foyer where she was, pulled her into a bedroom and began to sexually assault her, New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne said.She pulled away from him and he dragged her down a hallway into the bathroom where he engaged in a criminal sexual act, according to her account to detectives. He tried to lock her into the hotel room.The maid escaped and went to the police. Strauss-Kahn left the hotel, but forgot to take his mobile phone. He later called and asked about his mobile, which helped police to track him to the airport.The 62-year old says he did nothing wrong. His wife, Anne Sinclair, a prominent French journalist, also said he will be proved innocent.But reports of alleged assaults on other women are beginning to come out in the press.The news came as a shock to the IMF, with top officials grappling to cope with the leadership crisis on Sunday.

Deputy IMF chief John Lipsky, an American official, stepped in as acting managing director, while Egyptian economist Nemat Shafik is to replace Strauss-Kahn at the eurozone ministers' meeting in the EU capital.The scandal is also likely to impact the appointment of his successor.So far the IMF has always been headed by a European with an American deputy. But the recent developments may fuel calls from emerging economies to hand over the chairmanship to someone from Asia or Latin America.
Eurozone ministers on Monday night are expected to finalise together with the IMF the details of an aid package for Portugal and to discuss how best to deal with Greece's massive debt burden.Greece is facing trouble repaying bonds, despite its a multi-billion-euro EU-IMF loan agreed last year. Germany has called for even deeper budget cuts and privatisations if Athens is to receive extra money or an extension of its loan repayments.Greece must intensify its consolidation efforts ECB executive board member Juergen Stark told the Berlin-based Tagesspiegel newspaper in an interview to be published today. Paper tariffs spark EU-China trade war

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - China has said it will retaliate against a landmark EU decision to slap tariffs on fine-coated paper imports, heralding the start of a new trade war between the two sides, say experts.On Saturday (15 May) Chinese commerce spokesman Yao Jian said an EU decision to impose anti-subsidy and anti-dumping duties on the same product is against World Trade Organisation rules.Yao said Beijing would move to protect the interest of local companies.The Chinese side is strongly discontent with the EU's wrong decision and will firmly oppose it,Yao said in a statement posted on the ministry's website.Hours earlier the EU announced its intention to raise tariffs on Chinese exports of high-end glossy paper used for magazines and catalogues.It is the first time the European Commission has acted against subsidies which EU manufacturers say give Chinese firms an unfair advantage on international markets.The main subsidy given to the Chinese paper makers is cheap funding from government-controlled banks, with the EU duties set to last five years, said the commission.

EUOBSERVER / INNOVATION - The European Union's bid to turn itself into an innovation powerhouse is all well and good, say experts, but the amount of EU money needed to power research and creativity is too difficult to access.Viewing this decade as something of an economic make-or-break period as it nervously watches the rise of China and India, the EU has said it will focus its research and development money on projects that will help tackle some of its most pressing problems, such as the effects of climate change and energy shortages.Yet the EU's multi-annual framework research programme - the biggest in the world with €52 billion in the pot between 2007 and 2013 - undermines the goal by being so cumbersome as to make it uninteresting for companies.Bureaucracy, inefficiency and time lags, as well as the reporting requirements, has made the programme virtually impossible for small- and medium-sized companies,said Errki Ormala, vice-president of corporate relations at Finnish mobile phone company Nokia.Some people even claim that sometimes industry feels that the transactions costs are higher than the money than they get from Brussels.Projects potentially in line for EU money are evaluated and ranked by experts. Their recommendations are then passed onto the commission, which OKs the list and runs it by member states. A contract then has to be drawn up and signed.

With the member states' committee meeting only every now and then and the sheer logistics of getting all those involved in the project around the negotiating table, and then getting all of them to agree to the tweaks and fine-tuning to the project proposal, the entire process can take well over a year.if you want to get something into the market-place fast, having to wait 12 months is not very encouraging, said Christopher Hull, secretary general of Earto, an EU umbrella organisation for research and technology organisations.Hull reckons the EU procedure could realistically be chopped to six months - the fastest national programmes are as short as three months.Complaints about the EU research programme soared during the last multi-annual budget (1999-2006) when, with an eye on public perceptions, the commission had a period of over-zealous auditing and finicky application of the rules.In reaction to the criticism, it launched a simplification programme. But the move has yet to take full effect.One EU diplomat involved in research issues says that aside from the process taking an awfully long time there are still problems with conflicting interpretations of the rules between different European Commission departments and exuberant audits by the commission which are particularly difficult for resource-restricted small and medium-sized businesses to handle.An interim evaluation of research funding for 2007-2013 published late last year says that the lack of progress on many known problems is disappointing.Whether the commission has actually simplified matters is also up for question. One research institution complained that there were around 700 new rules to contend with when applying for EU research money.MEPs are also urging the commission to shake up the rules for the next research programme. Brussels is currently discussing the matter with stakeholders.A report on simplification adopted by the European Parliament late last year said called for a radical overhaul of the system, castigating the executive for its bureaucratic approach to the issue.Auditing should be made easier, the rules made simpler and more scientifically-based and the commission should curb its tendency for over-zealous micro-management, say MEPs.

Manitoba controlled flood plan appears to be working

VANCOUVER (Reuters) – Manitoba's plan to open a dike on the swollen Assiniboine River to avoid a potentially catastrophic unplanned flood appears to be working, officials in the Canadian Prairie province said on Sunday.Water is flowing through the cut made in a dike east of the community of Portage la Prairie on Saturday, and is spreading over the flat land of southern Manitoba were farmers would normally be planting wheat, canola and vegetables.Officials estimated on Sunday the flood would cover up to 72 square miles (180 square km) of land over the next few days, but that is down from the 90 square miles (225 square km) they had estimated on Saturday.The release has helped eased pressure on other dikes along the rain-swollen river that authorities had feared would fail and flood more than 520 square miles (1,300 square km).Today, even though more water is coming down the Assiniboine River, water levels downstream of the controlled release have not risen,the provincial government said in a statement on Sunday.The flood threat has forced more than 3,300 Manitoba residents from their homes, including 1,300 in Brandon, the province's second largest city, which is upstream from where the dike was opened.About 1,500 military troops have been called in to help local volunteers with sandbag operations.(Reporting Allan Dowd; Editing by Peter Cooney)

Strong earthquake strikes off Papua New Guinea

SYDNEY – A strong earthquake struck off the coast of Papua New Guinea on Monday, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.The magnitude-6.5 quake struck 76 miles (122 kilometers) west of Arawa, the capital of Bougainville province, at a depth of 27 miles (43 kilometers), the U.S. Geological Survey said.The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there was no threat of a destructive, widespread tsunami and that sea-level gauges in the region showed no unusual wave activity. But the agency did say earthquakes of this size can sometimes generate tsunamis along coasts within 60 miles (100 kilometers) of the epicenter.Bill Yomba, an official with Papua New Guinea's National Disaster Center, said there were no reports of any tsunamis striking the coast or of any injuries or damage.Earthquakes of this magnitude are relatively common in Papua New Guinea. The country lies on the Ring of Fire — an arc of earthquake and volcanic zones that stretches around the Pacific Rim and where about 90 percent of the world's quakes occur.

Mike Huckabee, the amiable former governor of Arkansas and Fox News media personality, has decided after all not to run for president. It seems that he does not want to be president and is instead happy doing what he is doing.That leaves the question, if not Huckabee, then who? The former governor had a big following among social conservatives, a considerable voting bloc in the Republican Party. Now that voting bloc has to find someone else to rally around.But whom? There are a few people one can automatically cross off the list. Donald Trump has too much of a playboy image. Ron Paul's libertarian views on social issues are too off putting. Mitt Romney is seen as a Northeastern liberal. Newt Gingrich, while he will make a play for the social conservatives as a repentant sinner, still has the divorce issue hanging around his neck.The safe but boring candidates, such as Tim Pawlenty and Mitch Daniels, might have some appeal, Daniels' somewhat interesting marital history notwithstanding. Rick Santorum might have a shot, though he is considered a long shot candidate.That leaves us to the one person that the pundits are writing off, albeit prematurely. Her name is Sarah Palin, whose existence is the unacknowledged 800-pound Mama Grizzly in the room.

Bad poll numbers aside, Palin seems uniquely positioned to take advantage of Huckabee's absence from the race. Unique of all the other potential candidates, she has appeal for social, economic and national security conservatives. She appeals to the latter two because of her cogent critique of Obama administration policies. She appeals to the first because of herself, her conservative religious lifestyle, and her obviously cohesive, loving family. Even her daughter Bristol Palin's history fits into the appeal; there is nothing evangelicals love more than a story of sin, repentance, and redemption.What is more, a plurality of Republicans have announced themselves to be dissatisfied with the current presidential candidates. No one running or having been mentioned to run seems to stir the blood.That seems to be the perfect door for the Lady from Wasilla, someone proven to be able to bring a hundred thousand partisans to their feet, to pass through. WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The crown prince of Abu Dhabi has hired the founder of private security firm Blackwater Worldwide to set up an 800-member battalion of foreign troops for the United Arab Emirates, the New York Times said Sunday.The Times said it obtained documents that showed the unit being formed by Erik Prince's new company Reflex Responses with $529 million from the UAE would be used to thwart internal revolt, conduct special operations and defend oil pipelines and skyscrapers from attack.The newspaper said the decision to hire the contingent of foreign troops was taken before a wave of popular unrest spread across the Arab world in recent months, including to the UAE's Gulf neighbors Bahrain, Oman and Saudi Arabia.The UAE itself has seen no serious unrest. Most of its population is made up of foreign workers.Blackwater, which once had lucrative contracts to protect U.S. officials in Iraq, became notorious in the region in 2007 when its guards opened fire in Baghdad traffic, killing at least 14 people in what the Iraqi government called a massacre.

One former Blackwater guard pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges in those killings, and a U.S. court reinstated charges against five others last month. Prince has since sold the firm, which changed its name to Xe. The firm denies wrongdoing.
The newspaper said the Emirates, a close ally of the United States, had some support in Washington for Prince's new project, although it was not clear if it had official U.S. approval.Two UAE government officials contacted by Reuters declined immediate comment on the New York Times report, and the U.S. embassy in the UAE also had no immediate comment. It was not possible to locate Prince for comment.The Times quoted a U.S. official who was aware of the program as saying: The Gulf countries, and the UAE in particular, don't have a lot of military experience. Russia wants US guarantees on missile shield

It has agreed to consider NATO's proposal last fall to cooperate on the missile shield, but insisted that the system should be run jointly. NATO has rejected that demand.Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has warned that a failure to reach a deal on the issue could force Russia to deploy new offensive weapons, triggering a new arms race.A landmark arms control treaty called New START has helped improve relations between Moscow and Washington, but Russia has continued to view U.S. missile defense plans with suspicion.Ryabkov said Monday that the existing U.S. missile defense elements don not pose a threat to Russia, but the situation may chance in the future. And why are they ignoring the issues now? I understand that it is sometimes difficult to determine if members of Congress are just plain stupid or selfish phonies.No doubt, a few could be classified dumb as bricks or not quite having both oars in the water.Largely though, they have grown so arrogant and so accustomed to their wanton use of power without any accountability that they are often confused about the meaning of our laws and lack even a modicum of common sense.The best definition that I can ascribe to the behavior of Congress is willful stupidity, more commonly known as political expediency.In the category of Presidential eligibility, one award for willful stupidity must go to Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT).On July 10, 2003, he proposed an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to make eligible for the Office of President a person who has been a United States citizen for 20 years (Senate Joint Resolution 15).

He is obviously smarter than the combined intellectual aptitude of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

JERUSALEM – President Obama's faith adviser, Eboo Patel, compared al-Qaida to what he called Christian totalitarians in the U.S. and Jewish totalitarians in Israel, WND has learned.In February 2010, Obama named Patel to his Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.Patel, a Muslim activist from Chicago, is the founder and executive director of Chicago-based Interfaith Youth Core, which says it promotes pluralism by teaming people of different faiths on service projects.

The article was adapted from the text of a speech given by Patel to the Interfaith Education for a Global Society Conference in New York City in January 2002.Stated Patel: The problem is that we live in a time when the Muslim totalitarians are dominating. Why? Because they are building powerful institutions that propagate their interpretation of Islam – just as the Christian totalitarians in America have powerful institutions; and the Jewish totalitarians in Israel have powerful institutions; and the Hindu totalitarians in India have powerful institutions.What do I mean by institutions? asked Patel.Lobbying groups that pass policies, political organizations that get people elected, television and radio and magazines and publishing houses which articulate ideas, schools and universities, youth organizations and women's groups, bodies which raise and distribute money.Patel then stated, Al-Qaida is a network of institutions. Patel failed to explain that so-called Muslim totalitarians, like al-Qaida, use terrorism to spread their belief system.

American freedom, equality are just myths.The Obama faith adviser recently has made other controversial remarks.WND reported last week Patel blasted what he called the myths of America – describing them as beliefs that the country is a land of freedom and equality and justice.Patel explained how he used the faith-based movement to channel his rage at America in a direction far more compassionate and far more merciful.Patel further implied that had he grown up in the 1960s, he may have joined the Weather Underground terrorist group led by William Ayers.

Like Obama, Patel is deeply tied to Ayers.

In a 2007 interview with NPR to promote a book he wrote that year, Patel was asked about his affinity toward the radicalism of Ayers, as described in the book.Patel replied that his own life story is much closer to Bill Ayers, explaining he grew up in the same hometown that Ayers did.Continued Patel: I was kind of taught the same myths about America, a land of freedom and equality and justice, et cetera, et cetera.And then, when I got to college, I saw people eating out of garbage cans for dinner, and I saw Vietnam vets drinking mouthwash for the alcohol, and I thought to myself, this is not the myth that I grew up with. And, in a way, I was so, I think, immature at that time politically, that all I could do was rage.Patel explained how he used religion to channel his rage toward America.And it was a faith-based movement that came into my life that kind of directed that rage in a direction far more compassionate and far more merciful.Obama's faith adviser went on to say how he may have joined Ayers' terrorist group if he was around as an activist in the 1960s.

One of the things that I write about in this book is, you know, had it been one of the people involved in the Weather Underground, who were sitting at my kitchen table when I was 18 years old and raging, my life could have been very different,he said.
That I really thank God that it was a set of people who came into my life with a very clear vision of justice. But a sense of justice emanating from Divine Mercy.
Patel has a much deeper relationship with Ayers than he admitted in the NPR interview.In 2005, he co-authored a book with Ayers' adopted son, Chesa Boudin.The book, Letters from Young Activists: Today's Rebels Speak Out, was co-written by several young radicals, including Ismail Khalidi, the son of Columbia University Professor Rashid Khalidi.WND was first to report on Obama's close relationship with Khalidi, who has been tied to the Palestinian Liberation Organization and who has described Israel as a racist state with an apartheid system.The preface of Patel's 2005 book, meanwhile, was written by Ayers' wife, Weather Underground co-founder Bernardine Dohrn.Dohrn describes the book as a clarion call of hope, defiance, critical analysis, humor, irony, and self-conscious insistence that the queer, the Palestinian, the immigrant, the privileged, the children of prisoners and hip-hopsters have arrived.The back cover of the book boasts an endorsement from Mumia Abu-Jamal, the convicted cop-killer and former member of the Black Panther Party.On the acknowledgments page, Patel and co-authors thank Ayers himself for guidance and encouragement.

Patel is part of the official speaker's bureau of the Islamic Society of North America, an unindicted co-conspirator in a scheme to raise money for Hamas.From his own comments, Patel apparently is a member of ISNA. Upon the August 2007 election of the group's president, Ingrid Mattson, Patel told USA Today,I'm proud to have her elected as my president.Patel also served last year on a panel at ISNA's annual convention in Washington.He has written columns for the Washington Post and Huffington Post that promote ISNA events.

Ground Zero mosque

Patel is also tied to Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the controversial Islamic leader behind the proposed $100 million, 13-story Islamic cultural center and mosque two blocks from the site of the 9/11 attacks.Rauf wrote the afterword to Patel's 2006 book, Building the Interfaith Youth Movement: Beyond Dialogue to Action.Patel is listed as one of 15 Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow on the website for the American Society for Muslim Advancement, which is led by Rauf.In Patel's 2007 book,Saving Each Other, Saving Ourselves,he recounts discussing with Rauf the future of Islam in the U.S.Rauf understood the vision immediately and suggested that I visit him and his wife, Daisy Khan, at their home the following evening,Patel recalled.Khan founded the society with her husband and has aided him in his plans for the mosque near Ground Zero.The living room of their apartment on the Upper West Side was set up like a mosque, with prayer rugs stretched from wall to wall,wrote Patel in his book.Continued Patel: I arrived at dusk, prayed the maghrib prayer with Daisy and Imam Feisal and then talked with them about how America, with its unique combination of religious devotion and religious diversity, was the ideal place for a renewal of Islam.In the 20th century, Catholicism and Judaism underwent profound transformations in America,Patel observed.I think, this century, in America, Islam will do the same.

Critical mass of Muslims in U.S.

There is now a critical mass of Muslims in America.Patel last March wrote a Huffington Post piece referring to Obama's former green jobs czar Van Jones as a faith hero.In my last post on Van, I called him an American patriot,wrote Patel.That is high praise in my book. But watching Van's speech at the NAACP, I have another title for him, one that I reserve for the true giants of history. Van Jones is a faith hero.Jones resigned in September after it was exposed he founded a communist revolutionary organization and signed a statement that accused the Bush administration of possible involvement in the Sept. 11 attacks. Jones also called for resistance against the U.S.Jones previously stated his advocacy for green jobs was part of a broader movement to destroy the U.S. capitalist system.WND reported that one day after the Sept. 11 attacks, Jones led a vigil that expressed solidarity with Arab and Muslim Americans as well as with what he called the victims of U.S. imperialism around the world.

A Divine warning shot across Obama’s bow

Undoubtedly, you’ve already heard and read about the snubbing of Christians by Obama at Easter. We suspect, however, that others who have reported on this have not looked at the larger picture that is represented by this particular administration.

26 April 2011: Last Sunday was Easter, the most sacred holiday on the Christian calendar. Yet, you would never know it from the White House. In contrast with his predecessors, the self-proclaimed Christian known as Barack Hussein Obama II, who has also been publicly anointed as a Christian by our corporate media, failed to release any statement or proclamation addressing the national observance of Easter, the most sacred day of the year for Christians worldwide.Obama also failed to acknowledge or make any reference the Christian holy day of Good Friday, instead releasing a lengthy statement about the secularist, new-age Earth Day, which happened to fall on the same day as Good Friday this year. Earth Day sounds innocuous with noble intentions, but like most issues embraced by the progressives, it has a much darker side.What does Earth Day have to do with the lack of an Easter proclamation? Please stay with us as we take a detour to briefly address its present relevance to Obama’s snubbing of Christians along with his slap-down of Jews and Israel.

Earth Day v. Easter & Passover

It is important to note that Earth Day was founded in 1970 by former U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson (now deceased) and can be considered, in part, as an outgrowth of the evolving eugenics movement. Nelson himself linked environmental problems to overpopulation of the planet, a concept peripherally embraced by hard-core Earth Day proponents.Like the old adage that you can tell a lot about a person by the company he keeps, Earth Day 2011 is partnered with numerous organizations such as the Muslim Green Team, American University of Kuwait, Subol Forum for Development (Iraq), the Ministry of Education in Sultanate of Oman (MOE), and the Blue Green Alliance, which is a coalition of labor unions that includes the SEIU. Peel the organizational layers back further and one can see the ultimate call for sustainable development and other key elements used by the proponents of a New World Order that is being facilitated through the power structure of the UN and other NGOs.Perhaps this explains why a carefully crafted eight-paragraph statement was released about the Earth Day initiative instead of the usual White House proclamation dedicated to the Christian holy day of Easter. It is apparent that this new-age secularism, embraced and promoted by globalists and Progressives and known as spirituality without borders or confining dogmas, has replaced inconvenient proclamations associated with certain religions. In sum and substance, that action alone explains a lot about the man and his administration. He is the great facilitator of interfaith dialogue that will ultimately lead to a one world religion, but not before he is done arranging the Islamic chess pieces – both globally and domestically. We are seeing that currently playing out in Libya, where such globalist luminaries as Henry Kissinger are now calling for the use of ground troops. The actions in Libya are a precursor to more aggressive plans in the Middle East where Israel will bear the brunt of the globalist agenda.

Judeo-Christian ideology at the White House: A laughing matter

As if the failure to issue a standard proclamation from the seat of U.S. power was not sufficiently insulting, perhaps Christians in the U.S. might be moved to irritation by watching the defiance oozing from Obama’s press secretary Jay Carney when he was asked about this omission during a press conference on Monday. Carney appeared to laugh off the question, instead deflecting to Obama’s attendance at church on Easter. As noted in a one-minute video clip, Carney chuckled as he said he was uncertain whether any proclamation was released, as if such issues were below the level of his job. He stressed, however, that Obama celebrated the importance of this Christian holy day with his family in a very high profile manner. Apparently, that should settle the whole matter.While Christians were slighted this Easter, the Jews had it much worse. For this year’s Jewish holiday of Passover which corresponds with the Christian feast of Easter, Obama actually had plenty to say. Anyone with any level of intellectual and spiritual discernment should be able to read between the lines of Obama’s statement when he used the feast of Passover to take a swipe at Jews and the nation of Israel. In his statement, he sparked controversy by linking the Jewish holiday of Passover with the current uprisings in the Muslim world. His Passover remarks combined social transformation and liberation in the Middle East, which were rightfully viewed as an insult to Jews and to the nation of Israel. Anyone with any knowledge of history should be upset at his obvious disdain for Israel, and those with the intellectual and spiritual discernment will see this as another step toward the isolation of – and turning against – Israel as its existence does not fit into the globalist agenda.

Why it matters

Through the use of sound bites and amid the snide snickers of deflection, one might be led to believe that the absence of an Easter proclamation represents a move to a more secular role of government, or one that does not put the value of one religion over another. That might be true if Obama remained silent on all religious holidays, but he has not. In fact, Obama’s refusal to make the customary Easter proclamation while making an insulting reference to Passover starkly contrasts his other religious statements when he has openly acknowledged and praised various Muslim holidays such as Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr.From an evidentiary perspective and despite the Carney dog and pony show, it is growing more evident that Obama the secularist has an affinity to Islam and bias against Israel and the Jews, contrary to traditional Judeo-Christian values in America. The reason is quite simple, but we must not be myopic in the final analysis.Islam that is being used to facilitate the erosion of our core values through the perversion of our constitution. Ironically, it is the intolerance inherent in Islam that is being used as a catalyst for calls for religious tolerance in America. It’s a brilliant plan that is actually a convoluted extension of the Bush Islamic outreach program in America.While it is at work here in the U.S., we can see the same plan at work throughout the Middle East. In a broader worldview, facts support that Obama’s foreign policy regarding the Middle East significantly favors the Muslim-Arab countries while turning his back on the nation of Israel.It all fits within the framework of a one-world, one religion global agenda. Perhaps that’s why a divine warning shot was reportedly captured on camera by Eddie Gehman Kohan on Easter Sunday.

The Danish government maintains the contrary.Denmark's envisaged customs checks, video surveillance and beefed up police presence appear to put in question the smooth functioning of Europe's single market and the benefits that an integrated area without internal borders brings for both businesses and citizens,the commission president wrote to the Danish Prime Minister on Friday (13 May).According to a first analysis done by the commission's legal services, Barroso writes, the Danish measures are illegal under EU law, which allows only random customs or police checks, under very limited and strict conditions, but by no means a permanent presence on the internal borders of the Schengen zone.I would encourage you to refrain from unilateral steps in this regard and to engage with the European Commission in an open dialogue prior to implementing any new measures, in order to make sure that such measures would be fully compatible with Denmark's obligation,Barroso stressed.The letter ends with the indirect threat of legal action which the commission may consider if Denmark fails to live up to its commitments under the Schengen borders code, which is part of EU law.His reaction was reinforced by a statement of home affairs commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom, who also said she was concerned by the Danish measures, which at a first glance seem illegal.

On Thursday, German foreign minister Guido Westerwelle said the Danish government had to give explanations about these measures, while senior German centre-right MEP Elmar Brok warned of the fragmentation of the EU if the border-free area is no longer guaranteed. Interior affairs expert of the Bavarian sister party of Angela Merkel's Christian Democrats, Hans-Peter Uhl, called the idea crazy and a concession to right-wing extremists.Germany's largest automobile club and traffic-advising body warned car drivers on Thursday to take their ID with them when heading towards Denmark and to expect delays at the borders.A Danish EU diplomat meanwhile told this website that his government has seen the Barroso letter but maintains that the measures are in accordance with Schengen rules.We are ready to engage in constructive dialogue with the EU commission,the source said.

Finland lobbied hard for the EU application at a ministerial meeting in Nuuk, Greenland, on Thursday (12 May), but Canada and Russia have traditionally been opposed to the move.And in a sign of further tensions within the council,permanent observer France circulated a letter, challenging the notion that countries and organisations without territory in the Arctic were somehow less affected by changes in the area.But incoming chair-holders Sweden insisted on the pre-eminence of the Arctic Council's eight member states: Canada, Denmark [including the Faroe Islands and Greenland], Finland, Iceland, Norway, Russia, Sweden and the US.We have agreed on the criteria. A decision [on whether to grant observer status] will be taken at the next ministerial meeting [in two years time] at the latest, Swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt told EUobserver.Deputy foreign ministers meeting in one year's time are likely to make recommendations on whether candidates are eligible.But let's be realistic, Bildt said.At the end of the day, members are members, and observers are observers.

The EU bid

China, Italy and Japan are also among non-Arctic states seeking to gain a foothold in the decision-making forum, conscious of the region's growing geo-strategic importance as melting ice opens up new shipping routes.Despite the fact that three Arctic Council members are also part of the EU, the European Commission's application for permanent observer status was not accepted at a ministerial meeting in 2009.European Economic Area states Norway and Iceland have also adopted a large chunk of EU legislation, arguably adding further legitimacy to the commission's request, together with the institution's considerable research spending in the area.
Privately EU officials talk of their frustration.People say that Canada and Russia have a closed attitude, one source said on condition of anonymity. The two countries are reportedly wary of creating an increasingly unwieldy Arctic Council, and question the motives of some applicants.Applicants must demonstrate their support for the Arctic Council, Canadian health minister Leona Aglukkaq, who represented her nation at the meeting, told journalists.Finnish under-secretary of state for foreign policy Jaakko Laajava was unequivocal in his country's support for the EU bid however.We think the EU's Arctic policy is being devised in a very constructive way, he told this website.There are scientific communities way beyond our shores. How can we tap into these if we don't communicate? We should be an open-source organisation.

He also said that the growing stature of the Arctic Council did not reduce the need for further work in another forum - the Nordic Council - of which Finland currently holds the chairmanship, insisting that communication between the two structures had avoided a duplication of effort.

The French

In a sign that frustration within the Arctic Council is not merely confined to the EU, French delegate Michel Rocard circulated a letter outlining his country's unhappiness with the rights accorded to permanent observers and with the role of the council in general.The Arctic Council has no wish to encourage debate, said the former prime minister.The unspoken assumption is that whatever happens in the Arctic, it is sufficient for each coastal state to shoulder alone but totally the responsibilities … I can certainly not adhere to that view.Fish, he said by way of an example, were increasingly moving northwards to cooler waters, creating global questions of where future supply would come from.Another issue was the need to create accurate maps of the Arctic area, together with the building of lighthouses, Rocard said, citing three shipping accidents in the Northwest Passage in the summer of 2010.Over the next 20 or 30 years, putting the Arctic to good use is the most colossal of any current human endeavour,read the French ambassador's letter, questioning whether the eight Arctic Council states would have the capacity to tackle the growing list of issues.The time has come to call upon all potential users of the Arctic to contribute both to the definition of rules governing such use, and to the funding of major infrastructures.

EUOBSERVER / NUUK - The Arctic Council - a forum of eight countries with territory in the polar region - has agreed its first legally-binding agreement, marking it out as a burgeoning decision-making arena at a time when global interest in the region is spiraling.Climate change, melting icecaps, offshore oil and new shipping routes are among the issues attracting an increasingly heavy-weight crowd, evidenced at a ministerial meeting in Nuuk, Greenland, on Thursday (12 May) by the attendance of US secretary of state Hillary Clinton and Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov.In addition to the individual nations which have a sovereign position ... the Arctic Council is becoming a key decision-making forum, Clinton told EUobserver in the margins of the event. Her presence marks the first time the US has sent a minister to the council in its 15-year existence.Sweden took over the two-year chairmanship from Denmark at the meeting.In the past this was an area of political conflict, now it's becoming an area of increasing cooperation,Swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt said.When the Kremlin famously dispatched a submarine in 2007 to plant a rust-proof titanium Russian flag on the Arctic seabed, it did indeed appear that the escalating race for the Arctic would inevitably cause growing tensions in the region.But on Thursday, after a morning's boat trip taking in Greenland's spectacular scenery together, the ministers signed up to a legally-binding agreement on aeronautical and maritime search and rescue.Danish foreign minister and outgoing Arctic Council chair Lene Espersen described the deal as ground-breaking.We might have ships, including cruise ships with many passengers, going further and further north into the Arctic with the increased risk that accidents may happen. The Arctic for humans?

The Arctic covers more than one sixth of the earth's landmass, and is home to a modest four million people including 30 different indigenous groups.Established in 1996 in Ottawa, Canada, as a forum to discuss some of the key issues facing the region, the Arctic Council is made up of: Canada, Denmark [including the Faroe Islands and Greenland], Finland, Iceland, Norway, Russia, Sweden, and the US. In addition, six organisations representing Arctic indigenous peoples have status as permanent participants.The council is backed up by a number of working groups, where the bulk of the work is carried out, tackling issues such as climate change, pollution monitoring and prevention, biodiversity conservation and the sustainable use of resources. As a sign of its growing stature, on Thursday the decision was also taken to establish a permanent secretariat for the council, based in Norway.A new report published this month entitled Megatrends' outlines nine driving factors which are likely to transform society in the region in the years to come, with continued pollution and ongoing climate change among the most important.Evidence of this can be seen in Arctic temperatures. Despite this year's unusually cold May, say Greenlanders, scientists estimate that Arctic temperatures are rising at twice the speed of the rest of the Earth.Soot, also known as black carbon, ground level ozone and methane have been identified as key drivers behind this, with large amounts of trapped methane released when Arctic ice melts.The knock-on effects are already proving to be devastating for Arctic species such as the polar bear, an animal which is highly adapted to hunting on sheet-ice and now finds it increasingly difficult to find food. imageNo sooner does a Yemeni Muslim begin hammering on the cockpit door shouting Allahu Akbar, then the media speculates that he must have gotten confused looking for the bathroom. And on September 11, four groups of Muslim men with boxcutters got confused looking for the nearest post office.The lead is invariably buried. Paragraphs fly by until it’s mentioned that the confused fellow may have been a Muslim. If it’s mentioned at all. And his cry of Allahu Akbar is translated as God is Great to render it more acceptable to readers. But like so many Islamic translations, it’s right enough to be wrong. Allahu Akbar doesn’t mean Allah is Great, in a Isn’t Allah and the Virgins of Paradise a great band. It’s more like Allah is Greatest or Superior. And if you’re on the right side of the cockpit door, the one doing the shouting Allahu Akbar means that Allah is superior to your country and to you. And one of his followers is about to do his best to show you why.News stories which, like fruit punch, carry 70 percent propaganda to 30 percent juice, are always eager to explain to their readers, that Allahu Akbar is just one of those things that Muslims shout at random occasions. Feel happy, shout,Allahu Akbar, feel sad, shout, Allahu Akbar till you feel better, feel a touch of homicidal rage against the infidels coming on, shout Allahu Akbar and open fire. If you believe them, then Allahu Akbar is the Swiss Army Knife of Arabic ejaculations. Whether you’re at a soccer game or a beheading, it’s the verbal black dress that fits any occasion.The message of Allahu Akbar is the message of the Koran 61:9. He it is who has sent his Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to make it victorious over all religions even though the infidels may resist.His messenger is Mohammed, the religion is Islam and the infidels who resist get beheaded or have planes rammed into their buildings.Allahu Akbar represents the tribal pride of the Muslim who, in submitting to Allah, becomes greater than all the infidels who haven’t gotten around to falling on their knees and paying tribute to the ghost of a long dead pedophile. By asserting the exceptionalism of Allah and of Mohammed as his prophet, they assert the exceptionalism of all Muslims. The Slaves of Allah become the masters of the entire world. Not as individuals, but collectively.

George Orwell described a very similar phenomenon in 1984;You know the Party slogan: Freedom is Slavery. Has it ever occurred to you that it is reversible? Slavery is freedom. Alone—free—the human being is always defeated. It must be so, because every human being is doomed to die, which is the greatest of all failures. But if he can make complete, utter submission, if he can escape from his identity, if he can merge himself in the Party so that he is the Party, then he is all-powerful and immortal.

Islam is that utter submission. A frustrated act of individual suicide that in the case of a suicide bomber involves actual death. But by dying, he proves himself immortal in the collective. When Muslims boast that they don’t fear death, and even demonstrate it by committing suicide, what they are really doing is embracing a collective existence, by rejecting individualism they shout their omnipotence. The individual killing himself to become immortal is one of the perverse paradoxes of tyranny. And it lies at the heart of Islam.The Takbir emphasizes Allah’s superiority, not to praise the superiority of their creator, but to assure themselves of their own superiority. In a slave culture, willing slavery becomes a badge of honor. The willing slave is superior to the unwilling slave. In a slave culture there are no free people. Only ones higher up on the ladder. The house slave and the field hand. The eunuch bureaucrat and the stable boy, the Janissary and the street sweeper, the harem dweller and the woman lying moaning in a field after the armies of the Jihad have passed.Muslim freedom is relative, not absolute. It is relative to the more comprehensive slavery of the non-Muslims under their dominion. And so for them in their own lands, slavery is indeed freedom. An illusory freedom that comes from the difference between their status and that of the non-Muslim.

imageThat’s why the American model translates poorly to the Muslim world. Democracy to Muslims means the rule of majority. And they like that fine, so long as they are in the majority. And if they aren’t, they use the sword, the gun and the suicide bomb until they are. But notions of freedom or equality don’t translate. Muslims will tolerate Jewish or Christian populations at an inferior level—so long as they know their place. And their place is at the back of the bus. They are the slaves or the slaves of Allah.

I am better than you because Muslims are better than you, and Muslims are better than you, because Allah is better than you.It’s a long-winded way of getting to the point in English, but it’s concisely implicit in the Arabic.The Libyan national anthem, Allahu Akbar, begins with a cry of Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest and neatly segues into Allah is the Greatest Above the Conspiracies of the Enemies and off to the usual killing and dying business. Allah’s superiority renders all others inferior. That’s the message of Allahu Akbar. And it’s shouted much more often as a battle cry, than by people looking for the bathroom in the cockpit part of the plane.For the same reason it flies on the national flags of Iran, Iraq and the new Afghanistan (the Saudi Wahhabis go the extra mile by writing out the whole Shahada, but that is an elaboration which means much the same thing.

Conveniently this makes the national flags into sacred symbols, as hapless soccer ball manufacturers and one German brothel found out when they tried to promote international brotherhood and sales with the friendly use of Muslim flags. The brothel had meant to promote peace and love by including Saudi and Iranian flags among all the others in the World Cup, and the hooded Muslims who came bearing knives and sticks showed their own version of peace and love. For a religion that rewards mass murderers by fornicating with virgin demons in paradise, it was not so much a show of prurience as exclusivity. Only Islam holds the key to the eternal demon brothel of paradise. And to wave the Shahada or the Takbir above a mortal German brothel cheapens the value of a divine commodity, and blasphemously cuts into Allah’s monopoly.The tactic of Islamic propagandists and their Western enablers has been to mainstream and normalize. In their translations, Allahu Akbar becomes God is Great. Not Allah, but God. And not Greater, but Great. The differences are significant. Every news story takes great care to explain that AA, (Allahu Akbar not Alcoholics Anonymous), is a common Arabic phrase shouted at various occasions. Which is true. Muslims don’t just shout Allahu Akbar when they’re killing people. The problem is that they do shout Allahu Akbar when they are killing people. And that shout reveals motive.No one shouts Allahu Akbar when trying to get into a bathroom, but they do shout it when they think have a shot of getting into a cockpit. An invocation of omnipotence and a battle cry.Know your place, infidels, Allah is on our side.The normalizers insist that Islam is no different than Judaism or Christianity, but what they can’t explain is the global body count, except by twisting the signposts around until it’s all the Hindus, Jews, Christians, Animists and Zoroastrians who are to blame for being murdered. And the body count like the Allahu Akbar pilots shows up as an anomaly on the normalizers’ radar. A blip that says something is wrong. The normalizers and their diligent pupils pay no attention to it, but everyone else does.The normalizers say that all religions kill, but which religion hasn’t stopped killing. They say that all have made war in the name of religion—but who starts war in the name of religion today? They say that members of all religions have raped—but which religion’s founder openly kept sex slaves? They say that all religions have their bad seeds, but Islam began with a bad seed who used his religious authority to rob, rape and kill. To perpetrate ethnic cleansing and genocide. And over a thousand years later, that same religious authority is being used to rob, rape and kill in Africa and the Middle East. That authority is best summed up with a single cry, Allahu Akbar.The Janjaweed militias who carried out much of the Sudanese genocide rode shouting joyfully,Hail the name of Allah. That much is recorded in the docket of the International Criminal Court. The hundreds of thousands murdered, countless more raped and mutilated, in the name of Allah. Indonesia’s 1950’s and 60s massacres which claimed over a million lives began with shouts of Allahu Akbar and moved on to parading their heads around, disemboweling their bodies, burying them alive and even cannibalism. Obama’s beloved stepdaddy, Colonel Lolo Soetoro, likely played a role in directing these atrocities. And these are only two drops in an ocean of blood still flowing to Mecca. A red tide that threatens to sweep humanity away.If Islam is no different than every other religion, and their deity is no different than every other deity, why are so many members of those religions and worshipers of those deities being murdered by the followers of a single religion. Not once or twice, but constantly. Year after year. A bloody faucet whose left handle reads Allah and whose right handle reads Akbar that never turns off. That bloody faucet is the best evidence that Islam is different and that its deity is different. Why else can’t the faucet be turned off?
