IRAN SYRIA SIGN DEFENCE AGREEMENT

Well in Ezekiel 38 we see Iran, syria in the 1ST WAVE of WW3 come against Israel lead by RUSSIA. And at sometime Syria is a heep of rubble now we know why because of this defence contract with IRAN. If the US attacks Iran they might attack Syria at the same time.

EZEKIEL 38:1-13
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal,(RUSSIA) and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:(RUSSIA)
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia,(IRAN) Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer,(GERMANY) and all his bands; the house of Togarmah (TURKEY) of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.(SUDAN, AFRICAN COUNTRIES)
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword,(ISRAEL) and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
13 Sheba, and Dedan,(S ARABIA) and the merchants of Tarshish,(SPAIN) with all the young lions thereof,(AMERICA, CANADA, AUS ETC) shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

Iran, Syria sign defense agreement by Farhad Pouladi Thu Jun 15, 9:13 AM ET

TEHRAN (AFP) - Defence ministers from close allies Iran and Syria have signed an agreement for military cooperation against what they called the "common threats" presented by Israel and the United States. In a joint press conference, Iranian Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar and visiting Syrian counterpart Hassan Turkmani said their talks had been aimed at consolidating their defense efforts and strengthening support for one another. Our cooperation is based on a strategic pact and unity against common threats. We can have a common front against Israel's threats," Turkmani told reporters Thursday after two intensive rounds of talks with Najjar. Our cooperation with the Iranians against Israeli threats is nothing secret and we regularly consult about this with our friends,he said.

Before the press conference, Iran's defense ministry said the two sides stressed strengthening mutual ties and the necessity to preserve peace and stability in the region. The defense ministry statement also said they discussed ridding the region of weapons of mass destruction,in an apparent reference to the widely held belief that Israel possesses nuclear warheads. The United States has led opposition to Iran's nuclear program, which Tehran insists is aimed at civilian energy purposes but which Washington suspects is a cover for atomic weapons-making.

US President George W. Bush has advocated diplomacy to resolve the international row over Iran's aims but has also said all options are on the table if Iran refuses to halt sensitive uranium enrichment work.Washington has included Syria in its so-called axis of evil that also comprises Iran and North Korea, citing these nations as supporters of terrorism.Asked about US threats against Damascus and Tehran, both top brass brushed off the importance of such threats. This is nothing new, we will resist these threats, the Syrian defense minister said. However, Turkmani dismissed the possibility of hosting an Iranian military base on Syrian soil.

The language of a (foreign) military base in our country is alien to us. I want to say that it is not on the agenda, he added. The Iranian defense minister said: "US threats are a kind of psychological operation. It is not new. With unity among the region's nations, these threats will not prevail.Although the two refused to give specifics about the agreement for military cooperation, Najjar said Iran considers Syria's security its own security, and we consider our defense capabilities to be those of Syria.Najjar also shrugged off reports that Iran could pose a threat to the region.

Iran is ready to sign a non aggression pact with regional countries, he said. Our military warfare equipment is based on deterrent policies and strategy. Enemies should know about our capabilities and should not even think about an assault against us, he said in response to a question about the optimization process going on for the medium range Shahab-3 missile. Iran's Shahab-3 missiles have a range of 2,000 kilometers (1,280 miles), capable of hitting arch-enemy Israel and US bases across the Middle East. Najjar added that the Syrian side has purchased some Iranian military equipment, but did not elaborate on the purchased items and did not say whether the purchases were made as part of Thursday's agreement. Turkmani started an official visit to Tehran on Sunday.

During his trip, Turkmani has also met with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Islamic republic's military chiefs and visited Iranian military factories in Isfahan and Tehran.

4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.(VATICAN)

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

Vatican denounces spiral of violence in Holy Land

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - The Vatican on Wednesday called for peace talks between Israelis and Palestinians, saying the Holy Land had become "hostage" to those who believe its problems can be solved by force or unilateral action. A statement said Pope Benedict was worried about episodes of "increasingly blind violence between Israelis and Palestinians and urged them to return to negotiations. It said the Pope felt close to the innocent victims in the Holy Land, which has become hostage to those who delude themselves that they can resolve the region's increasingly dramatic problems with force or in a unilateral way.

Israeli troops shot dead a Palestinian fighter in the West Bank early on Wednesday, hours after a Gaza missile strike on a van carrying militants and rockets killed 11 Palestinians, nine of them civilians. The strike signalled Israel would not flinch from targeting rocket squads in densely populated areas in spite of an outcry over the deaths of seven Palestinians on a Gaza beach on Friday in a blast Palestinian militants blamed on Israeli shellfire. Hamas, which took control of the Palestinian Authority in March, declared an end to a 16-month truce with the Jewish state.

Israel has said it was not responsible for the blast. The Vatican appealed to both sides "to show due respect for human life, especially that of unarmed civilians and children" and urged them to find the courage to resume peace talks. The Vatican also urged the international community to rapidly approve funds for humanitarian aid to Palestinians. The European Union is drawing up an aid plan and has urged Israel to release the $55 million a month in tax revenues it collects on the Palestinians' behalf and has been withholding since Hamas came to power.

Major Western donors froze direct aid to the Palestinian government after the Hamas Islamists won January's elections and refused to recognise Israel, renounce violence or embrace interim
Israeli-Palestinian peace deals. Fears of a humanitarian crisis prompted them to consider ways of channelling aid to the most needy while bypassing Hamas.

DANIEL 12:1
1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

Olmert: Israel will Negotiate Parts of JerusalemBy Amihai Zippor

(IHC News, 14 June 2006) Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told British legislators that since the Jewish people have been praying towards Jerusalem for 2000 years, Jerusalem will forever be Israel’s capital and Israel will never give up sovereignty over the Old City or the Temple Mount. However, Palestinian neighborhoods in the modern municipal boundaries are negotiable.

[Jews] don’t pray facing Beit Naballah or Issawiya, or any of the other Palestinian neighborhood that have been added to Jerusalem by someone who drew a map one day,” Olmert told the British parliament on Tuesday, 13 June 2006. Therefore, I believe there is a solution to the
problem of Jerusalem, and it will demand a lot of patience and intelligence, which admittedly we aren’t always blessed with, but we can make use of, Olmert explained.

Meanwhile, he also said that no one could expect Israel to return to the 1949 armistice lines, the border before the 1967 Six-Day War, because the borders of 1967 are indefensible.Still, Olmert left room for the possibility Israel will relinquish more than 90% of Judea and Samaria, the ancient Jewish heartland, when final-status talks begin. The Israeli PM will be completing his visit to England on Wednesday and will meet with French officials in Paris on Thursday.

Earth's days are numbered, Hawking says BY JORDAN LITE,DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

Beam me up, honey.Humans must establish a base on the moon and colonize Mars within the next 40 years if we're to avoid extinction from global warming or another catastrophe, astrophysicist Stephen Hawking said yesterday. It is important for the human race to spread out into space for the survival of the species,Hawking said at a news conference in Hong Kong.

Life on Earth is at the ever-increasing risk of being wiped out by a disaster, such as sudden global warming, nuclear war, a genetically engineered virus or other dangers we have not yet thought of. We won't find anywhere as nice as Earth unless we go to another star system, he added.

Space enthusiasts said Hawking's vision is achievable. We're pretty sure that everything we need to live is on Mars. There's plenty of water and there's a little bit of an atmosphere, said Dr. David Robertson, director of the Center for Space Physiology and Medicine at Vanderbilt University.Humans would likely live in a pressurized, temperature-controlled biosphere that could withstand the frigid nighttime temperatures and thin, dusty atmosphere.

There's no way you'd live without a space suit, even just to visit, said Louis Friedman, executive director of the Planetary Society.Science fiction author Kim Stanley Robinson said Hawking's remarks were a wasted opportunity. You want to treat this planet like the only one we have because Mars is poisonous, he said.

AL AQSA JEWISH TEMPLES EXISTED

1-Al Aqsa official: Jewish temples existed. 2-Beckett selective parts of her speech.

We see the 3RD TEmple has to be rebuilt before the future 7 year peace treaty is signed. In Daniel 9:27 you can not cut off Sacrifices unless the Temple is built. So Temple worship and the 3RD TEMPLE have to be rebuilt before the treaty is signed.

DANIEL 9:27
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

FROM WND'S JERUSALEM BUREAUAl Aqsa official: Jewish temples existedSays proof passed down over the centuries by mosque custodians,Posted: June 14, 2006By Aaron Klein,© 2006 WorldNetDaily.com

Temple Mount in Jerusalem

JERUSALEM – Contradicting most of his colleagues, a former senior leader of the Waqf, the Islamic custodians of the Temple Mount, told WorldNetDaily in an exclusive interview he has come to believe the first and second Jewish Temples existed and stood at the current location of the Al Aqsa Mosque. The leader, who was dismissed from his Waqf position after he quietly made his beliefs known, said Al Aqsa custodians passed down stories for centuries from generation to generation indicating the mosque was built at the site of the former Jewish Temples. He said the Muslim world's widespread denial of the existence of the Jewish temples
is political in nature and is not rooted in facts. Prophet Solomon built his famous Temple at the same place that later the Al Aqsa Mosque was built. It cannot be a coincidence that these different holy sites were built at the same place. The Jewish Temple Mount existed, said the former senior Waqf leader, speaking to WorldNetDaily from an apartment in an obscure alley in Jerusalem's Old City.

The former leader, who is well known to Al Aqsa scholars and Waqf officials, spoke on condition his name be withheld, claiming an on-the-record interview would endanger his life. While the Islamic leader's statements may seem elementary to many in the West, especially in light of overwhelming archaeological evidence documenting the history of the Jewish temples and description of services there in the Torah, his words break with mainstream thinking in much of the Muslim world, which believes the Jewish temples never existed. I am mentioning historical facts, said the former leader. I know that the traditional denial about the temple existing at the same place as Al Aqsa is more a political denial. Unfortunately our religious and political leaders chose the option of denial to fight the Jewish position and demands regarding Al Aqsa and taking back the Temple Mount compound. In my opinion we should admit the truth and abandon our traditional position.

The leader said his conclusion that the Jewish temples existed does not forfeit what he calls "Islamic rights" to the Temple Mount and Al Aqsa Mosque. Yes, the temple existed. But now it is the place of the mosque of the religious who came to complete the divine religion [that started with Judaism] and to improve humanity, said the leader. We believe that Islam is the third and last religion. It came to complete the monotheistic message. The mosque is here at the place of the temple to serve for the same purpose, for the work Allah

Al Aqsa Mosque built by angels?

The First Temple was built by King Solomon in the 10th century B.C. It was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 B.C. The Second Temple was rebuilt in 515 B.C. after Jerusalem was freed from Babylonian captivity. That temple was destroyed by the Roman Empire in A.D. 70. Each temple stood for a period of about four centuries. The Jewish Temple, mentioned hundreds of times in the Torah, was the center of religious Jewish worship. It housed the Holy of Holies, which contained the Ark of the Covenant and was said to be the area upon which God's "presence" dwelt. The temple served as the primary location for the offering of sacrifices and
was the main gathering place in Israel during Jewish holidays. The Temple Mount compound has remained a focal point for Jewish services over the millennia. Prayers for a return to Jerusalem have been uttered by Jews since the Second Temple was destroyed, according to Jewish tradition. Jews worldwide pray facing toward the Western Wall, a portion of an outer courtyard of the Temple left in tact.

The Al Aqsa Mosque was constructed in about 709 to serve as a shrine near another nearby shrine, the Dome of the Rock, which was built by an Islamic caliph. Al Aqsa was meant to mark what Muslims came to believe may have been the place at which Muhammad, the founder of Islam, ascended to heaven during a dream to receive revelations from Allah. Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Quran. Islamic tradition states Mohammed took a journey in a single night from "a sacred mosque" – believed to in Mecca in southern Saudi Arabia – to "the farthest mosque" and from a rock there ascended to heaven. The farthest mosque later became
associated with Jerusalem. Muslims worldwide deny the Jewish temples ever existed in spite of what many call overwhelming archaeological evidence, including the discovery of Temple-era artifacts linked to worship, tunnels that snake under the Temple Mount and over 100 ritual immersion pools believed to have been used by Jewish priests to cleanse themselves before services. The cleansing process is detailed in the Torah.

According to the website of the Palestinian Authority's Office for Religious Affairs, the Temple Mount is Muslim property. The site claims the Western Wall, which it refers to as the Al-Boraq Wall, previously was a docking station for horses. It states Muhammed tied his horse, named Boraq, to the wall before ascending to heaven. In a previous interview with WorldNetDaily, Kamal Hatib, vice-chairman of the Islamic Movement, claimed the Al-Aqsa Mosque was built by angels and that a Jewish Temple may have existed but not in Jerusalem. The Movement, which works closely with the Waqf, is the Muslim group in Israel most identified with the Temple Mount. When the First Temple was built by Solomon – God bless him – Al Aqsa was already built. We don't believe that a prophet like Solomon would have built the Temple at a place where a mosque existed," said Hatib.

And all the historical and archaeological facts deny any relation between the temples and the location of Al Aqsa. We must know that Jerusalem was occupied and that people left many things, coins and other things everywhere. This does not mean in any way that there is a link between the people who left these things and the place where these things were left," Hatib said.
'True' Islamic tradition affirms temples

But the former senior Wafq leader told WND "true" Islamic tradition relates the Jewish temples once stood at the site of the Al Asa Mosque. He said Al Aqsa custodians passed down history over the centuries indicating the mosque was built at the site of the former Jewish temples. [The existence of the Jewish Temple at the site is obvious] according to studies, researches and
archaeological signs that we were also exposed to. But especially according to the history that passed from one generation to another – we believe Al Aqsa was built on the same place were the Temple of the Jews – the first monotheistic religion – existed. He cited samples of some stories he said were related orally by Islamic leaders: We learned that the Christians, especially those who believed that Jesus was crucified by the Jews, used to throw their garbage at the Temple Mount site. They used to throw the pieces of cotton and other material Christian women used in cleaning the blood of their monthly cycle. Doing so they believed that they were humiliating, insulting and harming the Jews at their holiest site. This way they are hurting them like Jews hurt Christians when crucifying Jesus. It is known also that most of the first guards of Al Aqsa when it was built were Jews. The Muslims knew at that time that they could not find any more loyal and faithful than the Jews to guard the mosque and its compound. They knew that the Jews have a special relation with this place.

Temple Mount: No-prayer zone

Currently, even though the Jewish state controls Jerusalem, the Waqf serve as the custodians of the Temple Mount under a deal made with the Israeli government that restricts non-Muslim prayer at the site. The Temple Mount was opened to the general public until September 2000, when the Palestinians started their intifada by throwing stones at Jewish worshipers after then-candidate for prime minister Ariel Sharon visited the area. Following the onset of violence, the new Sharon government closed the Mount to non-Muslims, using checkpoints to control all pedestrian traffic for fear of further clashes with the Palestinians. The Temple Mount
was reopened to non-Muslims in August 2003. It still is open but only Sundays through Thursdays, 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., and not on any Christian, Jewish or Muslim holidays or other days considered "sensitive" by the Waqf.

During "open" days, Jews and Christian are allowed to ascend the Mount, usually through organized tours and only if they conform first to a strict set of guidelines, which includes demands that they not pray or bring any "holy objects" to the site. Visitors are banned from entering any of the mosques without direct Waqf permission. Rules are enforced by Waqf agents, who watch tours closely and alert nearby Israeli police to any breaking of their guidelines. The former senior Waqf leader said the Jewish temples have lost their purpose: As we are the religion who are here to correct everything that was before us there is no need for the Temple. Allah chose Islam as its final and favorite religion.

BECKETT: 'THE NEED FOR AN EFFECTIVE EUROPEAN UNION' (14/06/06)Event: Pre-Europen Council Debate,Location: The House of Commons,Speech Date: 14/06/06Speaker: Foreign Secretary, Margaret Beckett (not the whole speech, selective only)

Mr Speaker

Tomorrow and on Friday, My Right Honourable Friend the Prime Minister and I will represent the United Kingdom at the European Council in Brussels. We expect discussions to focus on the Constitutional Treaty, enlargement and Hampton Court follow-up, as well as current world problems. And beyond the EU it is as a negotiating group that we have a much stronger voice on the international stage. In 5 years of climate change negotiations culminating in Montreal, I have seen it demonstrated time and time again. That the EU plays a pivotal role in brokering agreement. A role we could not play and an agreement that - e.g. in Montreal – we would not have reached if Europe had not spoken with a single voice.

But existing member states have benefited too. Our peace and security has been enhanced by spreading stability and the rule of law to an ever-wider circle of neighbours. And, as we have seen from the most recent wave of enlargement, it has opened up new markets and given us access to much needed skilled labour. Any enlargement has to be managed carefully. It must take into account a number of factors, including the ability of the European Union to absorb new member states. And the European Council acknowledged this at Copenhagen in 1993. Equally the accession negotiation process must be implemented rigorously and all candidates must meet the EU standards. But the European Union should not use either of these perfectly valid concerns as a pretext to renege on existing commitments on enlargement. And it would be quite wrong for any changes to the EU's policy to rule out the possibility of future, further enlargements.

I have spoken about the need for an effective European Union. This is just as true outside Europe's borders as within them. The European Council will discuss a paper from Commission President Barroso on greater coherence on the EU's external policies. It will contain proposals to improve internal Commission co-ordination, to develop co-operation between Member States, the Commission, the High Representative and the Council, and to enhance the visibility and accountability of the European Unions external actions. In terms of specific aspects of external relations, we expect discussion of the Middle East to take place. I know that many members of the House have a particular interest in this area and intend to use this debate as an opportunity to discuss some of the pressing problems in that region.

Iran will be the main topic of these Council discussions. The Council is also likely to consider the Middle East Peace Process and the proposed introduction of temporary international funding mechanism by the European Union which would provide funds direct to the Palestinian people for their basic needs – including health services. We are pressing hard for this to be operational by the end of this month.

The EU needs to continue to play an active role. The Prime Minister, Chancellor and I met with Prime Minister Olmert on Monday and Tuesday and discussed how to take the peace process forward. We don't want to go down any other path than a negotiated settlement and we agreed with Prime Minister Olmert that this was our primary objective. But the process has to advance and if it is not possible on this basis then other ways will need to be found. However, let me be clear: as the Prime Minister set out, it is our task in the international community, the UK, the EU and the broader Quartet, to ensure there is the best possible chance for a negotiated settlement.

Both cases – Iran and the Middle East Peace Process – are striking examples of how joint European action can make a real difference to peace and stability beyond Europe's borders. And in so doing can enhance security and stability within those borders. Much of what this Government and the people of this country want to achieve, can only be achieved by working with and through the European Union.

It is for that reason that we will continue to press for the European Union to be as effective as possible in tackling the challenges that face our citizens and in delivering the real benefits they expect; and we will continue to play an effective role on behalf of Britain's goals and maintain our influence in the EU.

TERRORISTS FANTASIES BASED ON DEATH

2 tectonic earthquakes hit Mindanao By MADEL R. SABATER

While some active volcanoes in Luzon and the Visayas are showing restiveness, two earthquakes of tectonic origin yesterday struck Mindanao, the third and fourth earthquakes on the island this month. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the first of the two temblors occurred at 3:16 a.m. yesterday, with the epicenter located 11 kilometers northwest of Surigao City in the northeastern tip of Mindanao. Seismologists said the earthquake, which registered at 3.7-magnitude, was traced to a movement along the Philippine Fault Zone (PFZ) East Mindanao Segment. Intensity 2 was felt in Surigao City.

The second temblor occurred yesterday at 1:27 p.m. which registered a 3.3-magnitude. The epicenter of the earthquake was located six kilometers southwest of Surigao City, where intensity 2 was felt in the area. The second temblor was also believed to have been caused by the movement along the PFZ — East Mindanao Segment. Last June 4, a 4.5-magnitude temblor also jolted Surigao del Sur, particularly Bislig town and Butuan City. Its epicenter was located at 34 kms southeast of Tandag, the capital of Surigao del Sur. Last June 11, a 2.3 magnitude quake struck Zamboanga del Sur’s Pagadian City, which was felt at intensity 1 in Zamboanga City.

The only temblor this month which occurred outside Mindanao was recorded last June 1 in Iba, Zambales. The two quakes yesterday is said to be the 56th and 57th recorded this year and the fourth and fifth temblor to be registered for this month. Meanwhile, after four steam and ash emissions this month, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has
raised Kanlaon volcano’s alert level from zero to one. Phivolcs is now raising the alert status of Kanlaon volcano from its repose (no alert) to Alert Level 1 to implement an initial stage of safety precautions, it said. Phivolcs said heightened alert on the volcano indicates that "all visits" within the volcano’s four kilometer Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) are suspended until further notice.

Areas fronting gullies leading to the upper slopes should be avoided because lahar and rockfalls may affect these areas, especially during heavy rains on the volcano’s slopes, the institute added. Phivolcs said Kanlaon volcano was "quiet" during the 24-hour observation period yesterday. However, it warned that Kanlaon’s low-level period of unrest could intensify. Last June 3 at about 2:30 p.m., the volcano showed its first steam/ash emission, described by seismologists as a brief period of steam/ash emission.

Shares dive as global fears growMarc Moncrief,June 14, 2006

THE biggest one-day fall in Australian shares since September 2001 has wiped $26 billion from value of the stockmarket, underlining growing fears about global inflation and increasing interest rates.Continuing a worldwide sell-off that began last month, the benchmark Australian ASX 200 index yesterday tumbled 127.1 points, or 2.56 per cent, to close at 4838.9.It was the second big fall in a week, and added to a downward spiral that has now wiped more than $90 billion, or almost 10 per cent, from the market since May 11 — the day booming metal prices drove the index to a record 5364.5 points. The market has been overdue for some sort of correction," said IOOF chief executive Ron Dewhurst. "I've had a view for a while that the second half of this year will be more volatile than the past 12 months have been.

However, he said superannuation fund members and other investors affected by the share market slump should think long-term. The important thing is for people not to be too concerned, Mr Dewhurst said. Nothing in the underlying market has changed. Four of the
past five trading days have ended in the negative and on three of those days the market has fallen by more than 1.5 per cent.Yesterday's fall was the biggest since the market lost 4.69 per cent on September 17, 2001, in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington. The boom in Australian stocks over the past three years has been fuelled by China's burgeoning demand for resources, including iron ore, coal and copper. Increasingly, the growing middle class in India has added to this demand.

Low world interest rates have made it easy to borrow money and the developing world's investment in infrastructure has built an apparently insatiable thirst for materials.Miners such as BHP Billiton, the world's largest, have revelled in this environment, struggling to extract metals, coal and oil quickly enough to satisfy the demand. BHP's share price last month soared to a record $32 — more than double its level 18 months ago.But since the peak, world metal prices have plummeted 18 per cent, as measured by the London Metals Exchange index, and BHP's share price has followed accordingly, now down 21 per cent from its all-time high.

With tonight's release of US inflation figures expected to prompt the 17th consecutive interest rate increase from the Federal Reserve, investment conditions could continue to worsen. Governments raise interest rates to stave off rapid price increases, but higher interest rates may also slow business activity in the world's largest economy. As Australian investors slept off the Queen's Birthday holiday on Monday night, America's S&P 500 index crashed to its lowest level since November. But analysts urged calm.

The market has just gone back to where it was in February, said AMP Capital Investors economist Shane Oliver. At this stage it is not a disaster.Mr Oliver said Australian shares were still 14.6 per cent higher than they were 12 months ago. Since a low of 2700.4 in March 2003, the index had nearly doubled by May 11. Even after recent losses, $100 invested in the index at its 2003 low would be worth about $180 this morning.

I don't think there's any major implications for super fund members," Mr Oliver said. "Markets do occasionally have setbacks.

Terrorist fantasies based on death June 14,2006 ,MICHAEL GOODWIN

A common lament among Israelis is that “we will have peace when Arabs love their children as much as we love ours.”The phrase captures the horror and mystery of terrorism, where some parents beam with pride as their children strap on suicide belts and blow themselves up along with scores of innocents. The same sick fantasies were on display after the death of Iraq’s public enemy No. 1, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.We’re not sad that he’s dead,” his brother-in-law told the New York Daily News.

We’re happy because he’s a martyr and now he’s in heaven. There was no mention of the 72 virgins supposedly awaiting him, but the point was clear. The fear of death is no deterrent to Islamic fascists. Death in battle is welcomed, for it assures eternal glory. Never mind that al-Zarqawi beheaded people, sent bombers to blow up weddings and funerals of fellow Muslims and even massacred children clamoring for candy. The bloodier al-Zarqawi’s deeds, the higher his status. The prince of Al Qaeda in Iraq, Osama bin Laden dubbed him. The mysterious Islam-based affection for death is the greatest problem in the world, and it is why President Bush was wise to temper his joy at al-Zarqawi’s death.

The head of the snake has been chopped off, but there is a seemingly endless supply of snakes. We have killed thousands of insurgents in Iraq, yet the deadly attacks have increased. And snakes are multiplying in Syria, the Gaza Strip, Somalia and Iran, which seems hell-bent on getting The Bomb and using it on Israel.

In a minority

With a billion Muslims in the world, or nearly one out of every five people on the planet, it is clear that the vast majority are not terrorists. But it is also a fact that nearly all the major acts of terrorism in the world today are carried out by Muslims. Many Muslims have courageously condemned terrorists. In a speech last November, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the U.S. confronted the fact that 15 Saudis were among the 19 terrorists on Sept. 11. These deviants do not represent Saudis or the Islamic faith, he said. We no more supported the criminal act committed on Sept. 11 than the people of Italy or the Italian government supported the terrorist activities of the Red Brigade, or the Germans supported the violence of the Bader-Meinhof gang.

He went on to say: “Much as al-Qaida tries to connect its acts with Islam, it cannot, any more than the Waco suicide pact of David Koresh and his Branch Davidians, which killed 74 people, can claim to be Christian, or Baruch Goldstein who massacred more than 20 Palestinians in a mosque in Hebron can claim to be Jewish. Good and fair points. Yet neither Koresh nor Goldstein left an organization dedicated to carrying on his grisly traditions. But as author Mark Steyn noted in a brilliant essay in the magazine City Journal about the spreading terror threat, “As communism retreated, radical Islam seeped into Africa and south Asia and the Balkans.

Crazy guys holed up in Philippine jungles and the tri-border region of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay who’d have been ‘Marxist fantasists’ a generation or two back are now Islamists. It is, of course, not polite to say such things, or to refer to Iran as kooks with nukes,as Steyn does. But now is no time for politeness. For as bloody as al-Zarqawi was, his homicidal heirs aim to
make him look like an amateur. God help us if even one succeeds.

LUKE 21:11, 25-26
11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity;(mass confusion) the sea and the waves roaring;

Alberto hits Fla. with rain, gusty winds By PHIL DAVIS, Associated Press Writer 25 minutes

ago CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - The first tropical storm of the hurricane season was less than advertised Tuesday, bringing rain, gusty winds and some thigh-high street flooding to Florida's Gulf Coast without blowing up into the hurricane forecasters feared. There were no immediate reports of any serious injuries or deaths. But emergency planners said the preparations were not in vain: Alberto allowed them to hold a not-so-dry run of their disaster plans.

And the rains snuffed out some of the wildfires that have bedeviled parched central Florida over the past few months. This is not much worse, if any worse, than a summer squall. I just hope the next time we get another one, they won't say nothing's going to happen because nothing happened this time, said Jerry Cawthon, a resident of Keaton Beach.

The storm's center came ashore around noon near Adams Beach, about 50 miles southeast of Tallahassee. Its winds were 40 mph, down from 65 mph in the morning and well below the 74 mph hurricane threshold that forecasters thought it might cross. The prospect of a hurricane hitting the state less than two weeks into the season threw a scare into Florida, and more than 20,000 were ordered evacuated as Alberto closed in.

If Alberto had struck as a hurricane, it would be have been an alarming start to the season, which began June 1. No hurricane has hit the United States this early in the hurricane season in 40 years.Tampa and other areas had gotten 4 to 6 inches of rain by daybreak Tuesday, and forecasters said total rainfall could reach 10 inches in central Florida and southeastern Georgia over the next few days.

In Crystal River, water was thigh high in the heart of the town. David Garrick, owner of a restaurant and eight apartments along the bay, nervously paced the parking lot next to the apartments as water inched toward their doorsteps. We're tempting fate right now, but there's not much you can do. You can't sandbag because it comes in under the floor,he said.Forecasters said the northeastern coast of Florida and the coasts of Georgia and the Carolinas would be vulnerable to tornadoes for up to several days until Alberto cleared the area. And evacuation orders remained in effect for low-lying areas in four counties. But National Hurricane Center Director Max Mayfield said that overall, Alberto "shouldn't be life-threatening by any means, as long as people are careful, and especially surfers.

The only road in and out of Cedar Key for the island's 940 residents, was briefly closed because of flooding. But Cedar Key City Commissioner Pat O'Neal said, We dodged a bullet.A total of about 21,000 homes and businesses lost power during the storm. All but 4,300 customers had electricity restored by early evening. It was unclear how many of those ordered to evacuate their homes actually left.Levy County sheriff's Capt. Chuck Bastak said residents of Cedar Key in the gulf were gun shy about evacuating after a no-name storm of 1993 beat up the island and authorities were slow to let them return to their homes. They're kind of hard-core, Bastak said of some longtime island residents. It would take an act of Congress, God and weather to get them out of there.

Alberto did come with some benefits: Federal, state and local officials said the storm gave them real-world practice on the lessons learned from the slow response to some of last year's hurricanes. Hurricane specialists said they ran into a few computer glitches but nothing that couldn't be fixed by the next storm. You can train all you want, but nothing beats the real deal, said state Emergency Management spokesman Mike Stone. The evacuations went as planned, Gov. Jeb Bush said. I can assure you that if a stronger storm comes our way, that we have a great team. Alberto's rainfall should also help the state battle wildfires that have
blazed in different areas over the past two months, Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson said. Eighteen brush fires were extinguished by Tuesday's rain, but about 150 were still active, Bronson said.

At 5 p.m. EDT, Alberto had moved inland nearly to Valdosta, Ga., moving northeast at about 10 mph. A tropical storm warning was discontinued for Florida's Big Bend, where the Florida Peninsula juts into the Gulf of Mexico. A tropical storm warning remained in effect for Florida's northern Atlantic Coast, into Georgia and South Carolina. A flood watch was issued for South Carolina, where more than 5 inches of rain was possible. Scientists have predicted an active 2006 storm season, with a16 named storms, six of them major hurricanes. Last year's hurricane season was the most destructive on record and the busiest in 154 years of storm tracking, with a record 28 named storms and a record 15 hurricanes.

Tropical Storm Alberto drenches Cuba By ANDREA RODRIGUEZ, Associated Press Writer

Mon Jun 12, 3:24 PM ET HAVANA - Tropical Storm Alberto drenched western Cuba Monday after a weekend of heavy rains prompted evacuations, caused some dilapidated buildings to collapse and flooded low-lying areas in Havana. A few old buildings around Havana crumbled in the heavy rains, the official Prensa Latina news agency reported — a common occurrence during storms. There were no reports of other major damage or injuries. The intensity of the rains has diminished, although in some localized areas of Pinar del Rio they could remain heavy, as well as in the Havana area and on the Isle of Youth,Cuba's National Meteorology Institute said in a statement. Some areas of Pinar del Rio province near Havana lost electricity for up to 12 hours, the official daily newspaper Granma reported.

Granma said heavy rains caused damage in some agricultural regions, but Cuba's most important crop — tobacco — was unaffected because the harvest has been completed, with the leaves used to make the island's famed cigars safe and dry inside curing houses.More than 12 inches of rain fell in some rural areas over the weekend, Prensa Latina said.Under the country's civil defense plan, nearly 25,000 people on the island's west end were urged to leave their homes as a precaution to stay with friends and relatives on higher ground. They included high school students at rural boarding schools who are often sent home during tropical cyclones to stay with their families until the storms pass.State television warned people to stay away from swollen rivers and overflowing reservoirs.

Flash floods leave 19 dead, 31 missing in southwest China 1 hour, 47 minutes ago

BEIJING (AFP) - Flash floods caused by heavy rains have left at least 19 people dead and 31 others missing in southwest China. Sudden downpours hit the province Monday and continued for four hours causing several flash floods in the mountainous region of Guizhou province, Xinhua news agency reported Tuesday.Local government sources were quoted by the agency as saying that at least 19 local residents were confirmed dead and 31 people were missing.A number of houses were also reported to have been washed away.

Officials from the local disaster-relief, transportation and power supply departments have rushed to the area to direct the flood-relief work, Xinhua said. The deaths come after at least 93 people were reported to have died over the last two weeks in torrential rains that have battered southern China. Some 12 million have been affected by rains, floods and landslides, China Daily newspaper reported on Saturday, quoting the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Some 560,000 people have been evacuated and economic losses in the region have been estimated at 7.66 billion yuan (957.5 million dollars), it added.

Floods kill eight people, displace 75,000 in northeastern India by Zarir Hussain Tue Jun 13,

6:32 AM ET GUWAHATI, India (AFP) - Flash floods and mudslides triggered by heavy monsoon rains have killed eight people and displaced some 75,000 in India's northeastern states of Assam and Tripura. A Tripura government spokesman said five people, three of them
children, were killed late Monday when a landslide buried their mud-and-thatch huts in Churaibari village, about 80 kilometers (50 miles) north of the state capital Agartala.

Six people were injured in the incident and one or two bodies might still be trapped under the debris,Gopika Das, a magistrate in North Tripura, told AFP by telephone. The villagers were sleeping when the incident took place, he added.

Flood control officials said some 4,000 people were displaced when floodwaters submerged the northern Tripura town of Dharmanagar. All major rivers in Tripura, bordering Bangladesh, are flowing above the danger level, the officials said.In Assam, three women were killed Monday night in a landslide in Chandranathpur village in the southern Cachar district, about 310 kilometers from the states main city of Guwahati.

Three women died and eight more were seriously injured in the incident when mounds of earth from a hillock trapped sleeping villagers, a civil official in Cachar said by telephone. The latest deaths bring to 148 the number of people killed nationwide in weather related incidents since the monsoon hit India on May 18.An Assam Flood Control department official said nearly 71,000 people had been affected by floods that began in the state May 31 with an estimated 2,000 villages hit.

The affected people have been shifted to safer places with relief materials distributed among the flood-hit victims,a government statement said. The main river, the Brahmaputra, had broken its banks along Majuli, the worlds largest river island, 350 kilometers from Guwahati. At least 12,000 hectares (30,000 acres) of land have been submerged in Majuli due to flooding, a government official in Majuli said.Road and rail communications have been hit in some parts of Assam with floodwaters overflowing highways and breaching rail tracks.According to the Central Water Commission, the Brahmaputra is flowing above the danger level in at least eight
places.

The 2,906-kilometer (1,816-mile) river -- one of Asia's longest -- traverses China's Tibet region, India and Bangladesh before emptying into the Bay of Bengal.Every year the monsoon causes the river to flood, submerging paddy fields, washing away villages, drowning livestock and killing people in Assam, a remote state of 26 million people. In 2004, at least 200 people died and more than 12 million were displaced in the floods.

Where is the outcry?

The hypocritical fashion in which the world, and in particular the international media, relate to the Israeli-Arab conflict was again demonstrated most vividly over the past several days.On Friday an explosion killed at least seven Palestinian Arab civilians on a Gaza Strip beach. A tragic event for which it is still uncertain who is responsible, despite the wild, unsubstantiated claims by the "Palestinians" and their leaders of an Israeli-perpetrated massacre.

Though the bloody beach scene could just have easily been caused by an errant terrorist-fired Katyusha rocket, it was nevertheless exploited as justification for a barrage of artillery fire on Israeli civilian centers between Saturday and Monday night. While the international media broadly and without hesitation condemned Israel over the former, it has failed to turn the same accusator finger at the Palestinian Authority over the latter. It does not matter that no Israelis died as a result of rocket and mortar fire.

The intent was to murder as many Jews as possible.By contrast, if the IDF was in fact responsible for the Gaza beach explosion, Israel's intent was most certainly not the killing of unarmed Arab men, women and children. That the world media fails to take all of this into account betrays its venomous bias against the Jewish state.

NORTH AMERICAN UNION COUNTRY

Well The Bible clearly says the European Union will by Peaceful means destroy many. It will be by controlling the World through the 10 World Free Trade Blocks. The 10 World trading blocks will come together, then there will be a stock market crash, the European Union will grab the worlds economy since I believe the United Nations will fold because of the ISRAEL / ARABS peace process.

The EU will give the Israelis a land for security deal with the Arabs and Many.

DANIEL 7:23 (THE EU WILL CONTROL ALL THE EARTH)
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth,(or 7th world Empire - THE EU ) which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

DANIEL 8:23-25 (THIS IS THE FUTURE EU PRESIDENT DICTATOR)
23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

REVELATION 6:1-2 (THIS IS THE FUTURE EU PRESIDENT DICTATOR)
1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

REVELATION 13:3.7-9 (THIS EU DICTATOR CONTROLS THE WHOLE EARTH)
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Bush Administration Quietly Plans NAFTA Super Highway,by Jerome R. Corsi,
Posted Jun 12, 2006

Quietly but systematically, the Bush Administration is advancing the plan to build a huge NAFTA Super Highway, four football-fields-wide, through the heart of the U.S. along Interstate 35, from the Mexican border at Laredo, Tex., to the Canadian border north of Duluth, Minn.

Once complete, the new road will allow containers from the Far East to enter the United States through the Mexican port of Lazaro Cardenas, bypassing the Longshoreman’s Union in the process. The Mexican trucks, without the involvement of the Teamsters Union, will drive on what will be the nation’s most modern highway straight into the heart of America. The Mexican trucks will cross border in FAST lanes, checked only electronically by the new “SENTRI” system. The first customs stop will be a Mexican customs office in Kansas City, their new Smart Port complex, a facility being built for Mexico at a cost of $3 million to the U.S. taxpayers in Kansas City. As incredible as this plan may seem to some readers, the first Trans-Texas Corridor segment of the NAFTA Super Highway is ready to begin construction next year.

Various U.S. government agencies, dozens of state agencies, and scores of private NGOs
(non-governmental organizations) have been working behind the scenes to create the NAFTA Super Highway, despite the lack of comment on the plan by President Bush. The American public is largely asleep to this key piece of the coming “North American Union” that government planners in the new trilateral region of United States, Canada and Mexico are about to drive into reality.

Just examine the following websites to get a feel for the magnitude of NAFTA Super Highway planning that has been going on without any new congressional legislation directly authorizing the construction of the planned international corridor through the center of the country.

* NASCO, the North America SuperCorridor Coalition Inc., is a “non-profit organization dedicated to developing the world’s first international, integrated and secure, multi-modal transportation system along the International Mid-Continent Trade and Transportation Corridor to improve both the trade competitiveness and quality of life in North America.” Where does that sentence say anything about the USA? Still, NASCO has received $2.5 million in earmarks from the U.S.

Department of Transportation to plan the NAFTA Super Highway as a 10-lane limited-access road (five lanes in each direction) plus passenger and freight rail lines running alongside pipelines laid for oil and natural gas. One glance at the map of the NAFTA Super Highway on the front page of the NASCO website will make clear that the design is to connect Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. into one transportation system

* Kansas City SmartPort Inc. is an “investor based organization supported by the public and private sector” to create the key hub on the NAFTA Super Highway. At the Kansas City SmartPort, the containers from the Far East can be transferred to trucks going east and west, dramatically reducing the ground transportation time dropping the containers off in Los Angeles or Long Beach involves for most of the country.

A brochure on the SmartPort website describes the plan in glowing terms: “For those who live in Kansas City, the idea of receiving containers nonstop from the Far East by way of Mexico may sound unlikely, but later this month that seemingly far-fetched notion will become a reality.”

* The U.S. government has housed within the Department of Commerce (DOC) an “SPP office” that is dedicated to organizing the many working groups laboring within the executive branches of the U.S., Mexico and Canada to create the regulatory reality for the Security and Prosperity Partnership. The SPP agreement was signed by Bush, President Vicente Fox, and then-Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Tex., on March 23, 2005. According to the DOC website, a U.S.-Mexico Joint Working Committee on Transportation Planning has finalized a plan such that “(m)ethods for detecting bottlenecks on the U.S.-Mexico border will be developed and low cost/high impact projects identified in bottleneck studies will be constructed or implemented.”

The report notes that new SENTRI travel lanes on the Mexican border will be constructed this year. The border at Laredo should be reduced to an electronic speed bump for the Mexican trucks containing goods from the Far East to enter the U.S. on their way to the Kansas City
SmartPort.

* The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is overseeing the Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC) as the first leg of the NAFTA Super Highway. A 4,000-page environmental impact statement has already been completed and public hearings are scheduled for five weeks, beginning next month, in July 2006. The billions involved will be provided by a foreign company, Cintra Concessions de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A. of Spain. As a consequence, the TTC will be privately operated, leased to the Cintra consortium to be operated as a toll-road.

The details of the NAFTA Super Highway are hidden in plan view. Still, Bush has not given speeches to bring the NAFTA Super Highway plans to the full attention of the American public. Missing in the move toward creating a North American Union is the robust public debate that preceded the decision to form the European Union. All this may be for calculated political reasons on the part of the Bush Administration. A good reason Bush does not want to secure the border with Mexico may be that the administration is trying to create express lanes for Mexican trucks to bring containers with cheap Far East goods into the heart of the U.S., all without the involvement of any U.S. union workers on the docks or in the trucks.

Mr. Corsi is the author of several books, including "Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry" (along with John O'Neill), "Black Gold Stranglehold: The Myth of Scarcity and the Politics of Oil" (along with Craig R. Smith), and "Atomic Iran: How the Terrorist Regime Bought the Bomb and American Politicians." He is a frequent guest on the G. Gordon Liddy radio show. He will soon co-author a new book with Jim Gilchrist on the Minuteman Project.

Iranian Pres. to Hamas: Step Up Attacks Against Israel 09:45 Jun 12, '06 / 16 Sivan

5766 (IsraelNN.com) Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told the foreign minister of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud A-Zahar (Hamas), to step up attacks against Israel.

According to a report published by Iran’s news agency, Ahmadinejad said that only violence can be used to oppose Israel’s occupation of Arab land, and that such action must be intensified.

Earthquakes rattle Indonesia s Sumatra Island

A powerful earthquake struck off the western coast of Indonesia's Sumatra Island on Monday, there were no immediate report of injuries or damage. The 5.9-magnitude quake was centered 530 kilometers southwest of Lampung provincial capital of Bandar Lampung, reported The Jakarta Post online news, quoting report from the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency. Lampung is located on the southern tip of Sumatra island, about 250 kilometers northwest of Jakarta.

Earlier on Sunday, two mild quakes rattled Padang Sidempuan mayoralty and Gunung Sitoli -- the capital of Nias regency -- in North Sumatra province. The 3.2-magnitude earthquake that shook Padang Sidempuan was centered some 9 kilometers inland from the town and about 2.1 kilometers deep. Meanwhile, a 4.2-magnitude quake that rattled Gunung Sitoli on Nias Island was centered on the sea some 42 kilometers northwest of the town and 33 kilometers deep.

Indonesia is prone to earthquakes because of its location on the so-called Pacific "Ring of Fire," an arc of volcanoes and fault lines encircling the Pacific Basin. On May 27, a 5.9 magnitude earthquake devastated regions in Central Java province and Yogyakarta, killing more than 5,800 people. (Source: Xinhua)

Visions of Atlantic free trade

The Danish Prime Minister, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, would like to turn the whole of the North Atlantic into one big free-trade zone based on the model of the EU's inner market. He unveiled his plan at Berkeley, University of California, on 12 June.Much of the globalisation debate may well revolve around the ever fiercer competition faced from China and India but we would do well not to overlook the fact that the biggest and most dominant economic factor is still the link between the EU and the USA, Rasmussen told Jyllands-Posten.Between them, the USA and the EU account for two-fifths of world trade and that this trade generates 12-14 million jobs. In addition, 85% of all US overseas investments are in the EU.

Rasmussen expects his idea will meet resistance in both America and Europe but he remains an advocate of free trade at global level. He is not promoting free trade between the EU and the USA as an exclusive club for the rich but as a potential driving force for progress within the World Trade Organisation where negotiations on free trade appear to be grinding to a halt. The Prime Minister took part in a summit of the Baltic Sea States in Iceland en route to the USA. Next weekend he will travel to a meeting of the Nordics PMs on Svalbard, so his first-hand knowledge of the North Atlantic is certainly up to date.

Crews defended containment lines Monday around a 2,800-acre wildfire and resulting spot fires 10 miles northwest of Heber, in northern Arizona. (AP)

Caused by wind throwing embers some distance from the fire's north front, two spot fires were estimated to be a combined size of 40 to 50 acres. Four Hotshot crews worked overnight Sunday to construct containment lines, said Julia Faith Rivera, a spokes woman for the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest. Firefighters will continue to conduct burnout operations in hopes of preventing the fires from spreading.

About 165 people were battling the lightning-caused fire, which was 30 percent contained. Two helicopters and three airtankers also were on hand. A Type 2 incident management team, used for more complex fires, will take over Monday. Burning mostly pinyon and juniper, the wildfire is 5 miles from the subdivision of Chevlon Retreat. While no structures have been threatened, crews continue to use air tankers to protect a high-voltage power line that lies within the fire area.

Olmert to deal with 'irrelevant' Abbas Under global pressure, convergence becomes bilateral By Ryan Jones, June 13, 2006

Under pressure from the international community to surrender Israel's biblical heartland in coordination with the Palestinian Arabs, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is set to transform his convergence plan from a unilateral affair into a bilateral deal with PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas. That despite the fact Olmert and his foreign minister, Tzipi Livni, have branded Abbas irrelevant to the peace process by virtue of Hamas' control of nearly every facet of Palestinian government.

The terms of any final status agreement concluded with Abbas, Livni has argued in the media, would have to be implemented by the ministries controlled by Hamas, which has vowed to maintain its rejection of Israel's sovereignty and to continue seeking the Jewish state's ultimate demise.

But the perceived necessity to appease Israel's Western "allies," it would seem, has trumped Olmert's and Livni's recognition of this uncomfortable fact.According to Ha'aretz, which cited senior government officials, the Prime Minister's Office and the Foreign Ministry are in the midst of drafting a proposal for the establishment of an interim "Palestinian" state in all of Gaza and 90 percent of Judea and Samaria. That state's provisional borders will roughly follow the path of Israel's yet-to-be-completed security fence, with the understanding that the fence's route does not represent the borders of a final status agreement.

Israel hopes to present the proposal as an implementation of Phase II of the US-backed Road Map peace plan, thereby satisfying American and European demands that it resume negotiations with that part of the Palestinian Authority still loyal to Abbas.Ha'aretz noted that this is being done despite the fact that the "Palestinians" have yet to even begin implementing their Phase I obligation - the dismantling of terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad.European Union envoy Mark Otte told the leftist newspaper that Israel should sweeten the deal by handing over control of the Jordan River Valley to European monitors, as it did with the Gaza-Egypt border. That concession, which Israel was strong-armed into accepting by Washington, permitted the smuggling of vast quantities of terrorist weapons into Gaza.

THE ISRAELI COVENANT TO THE LAND

Story 1-The Israeli Covenant to the Land. 2-Quakes in Japan. 3-Minor Quake in Utah.

THE ISRAELI COVENANT TO THE LAND.

DANIEL 9:27
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

In Israel theres a Professor by the name of Paul Eidelberg a Torah based leader that wants to have a Torah based Government instead of the current Democratic Government.

Well I have a name for this New Government if Paul gets it up and going. Since Pauls new Government would be Torah, Bible based, I think he should name the New Government "The Israeli Covenant to the Land".

As well as naming the New Government, he will also be fulfilling Bible prophecy of Daniel 9:27 that says there will be a COVENANT SIGNED IN THE FUTURE. This would be the Covenant that would have to be signed in the final Peace treaty Signing.

Also in his NEW GOVERNMENT there has to be at its COVENANT WITH THE LAND THAT THE 3RD TEMPLE HAS TO BE REBUILT. Since the Temple Mount is the center of Judaism and Jerusalem is the Center of the World, This New Government has to have as its number one Charter item that the 3RD TEMPLE has to be rebuilt if this New Torah based Government comes into being.

LUKE 21:11
11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Two Earthquakes Shake Japan Sunday, June 11, 2006

TOKYO — A strong earthquake rattled southern Japan early Monday followed by a milder temblor in the north the nation's meteorological agency said. At least five people were injured from the magnitude-6.2 quake in the south, but no one died, Kyodo News agency reported. No injuries or damage were reported from the second quake, Kyodo said. The first quake occurred at around 5 a87 miles underground in Oita Prefecture (state) on the southern island of Kyushu.

It struck wide areas of southern and western Japan, Kyodo said. The second one, which registered magnitude-4.8, was three hours later off the coast of Aomori in northern Japan. The meteorological agency said there was no danger of a tsunami from either quake. In western Japan's Hiroshima prefecture (state), an 82-year-old woman broke her leg as she fell on the ground while walking her dog, and a 14-year-old student was hit by a falling object and
suffered a slight head injury, a police spokesman said on condition of anonymity citing protocol.Three other people in southwestern prefectures (states) Ehime, Yamaguchi and Miyazaki also suffered minor injuries, Kyodo News agency reported.

Oita is about 500 miles southwest of Tokyo, and Aomori is 360 miles northeast of the capital.Japan is one of the world's most quake-prone countries because it is located at the juncture of four tectonic plates, or moving slabs of the earth's outer crust. FOXNEWS.COM

Utah Earthquake Center Reports Minor QuakeJune 11th, 2006 @ 4:04pm

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The University of Utah Seismograph Station has reported recording a small earthquake in central Utah at 4:01 a.m. MDT Sunday. The magnitude of the quake was 3.6 and is considered minor, Dr. Walter Arabasz of the center said. The epicenter of the shock was located about 3 miles northeast of Strawberry Reservoir, in a remote area beneath the eastern side of the Wasatch Range, approximately 56 miles southeast of Salt Lake City. No one reported feeling the quake, Arabasz said.

About 700 earthquakes, including aftershocks occur in the Utah region each year, according to the seismograph station's web site. Only about 2 percent of those are felt. On average, about 13 quakes of magnitude 3.0 or larger occur annually. Earthquakes can occur anywhere in the state of Utah, the web site states. Dispatchers for Duschesne and Wasatch counties, both of whom receive 911 emergency calls from the reservoir area said they took no calls with reports of the quake. And at the reservoir's marina, proprietor Rebecca Phillips said she was unaware of the temblor. "We were all asleep at 4 a.m.," she said. Arabasz said anyone who felt the quake is encouraged to fill out an interactive form on the University of Utah seismograph stations website: http://www.quake.utah.edu/.

MARKETS IN TURMOIL NO COLLAPSE YET

Story 1-World economy strong despite turmoil of Markets. 2-The meaning of 666 The MARK of the Dictator.

EZEKIEL 7:19
19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

JAMES 5:1-3
1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

World economy strong despite market turmoil, G8 ministers sayBy Simon Kennedy, St Petersburg,June 12, 2006 (THE AGE)

Finance ministers from the Group of Eight nations say the global economy is still strong after shares tumbled and interest rates rose around the world.Equities in the US, Europe and Asia fell this week on concern that central banks will stifle economic growth as they boost interest rates to quell inflation, which Barclays Capital estimates is running globally at its fastest pace in a decade.Ministers including the US's John Snow and Germany's Peer Steinbrueck said global growth remains strong and is gradually becoming more broadly based, while acknowledging high oil prices and trade gaps threaten expansion, according to a statement released after two days of talks in St Petersburg. There are concerns of a fragile global stock market, said Jodie Saul, an economist at CIBC World Markets in London.

Ministers are obviously highlighting the strengths of the economy.

Shares fell as the central banks of the dozen euro countries, Turkey, South Africa, India and South Korea all boosted their benchmark rates this past week. The Federal Reserve is expected to execute its 17th straight increase this month, and the Bank of Japan is signalling it will soon act for the first time in more than five years. The Morgan Stanley Capital International Inc World Index dropped 4.4 per cent this past week, the biggest decline in a trading week since September 2002, as investors factored in the first synchronised tightening in global interest rates in six years. The index has declined 8.7 per cent since reaching a six-year high on
May 9.Despite some volatility in financial markets, we're experiencing a very positive development of the world economy,Steinbrueck said.

The outlook faces downside risks from "high and volatile energy prices and widening global imbalances, the statement said. The ministers omitted their view of April that inflationary pressures were contained, although Snow said the recent rise in prices wasn't alarming. They have to be cognisant of the risks, said Andrew Cates, a global economist at UBS AG in London. On oil, which has gained 32 per cent over the past year and reached a record $US75.35 a barrel in April, the ministers repeated a call first made two years ago for countries to increase investment in the energy sector, improve fuel efficiency and enhance market data. They released a separate statement on energy policy for developing nations with an agreement to take steps to alleviate energy poverty. The officials repeated global economic adjustment is a shared responsibility.,BLOOMBERG

ALBERTO 1ST NAMED STORM

Story 1-Its time for a North American Union. 2-1 dead in Taiwan floods. 3-Alberto 1st named storm.

The Bible clearly say the EU will control the world through breaking it into pieces (10 World trading blocks I believe).

DANIEL 7:23-24
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

REVELATION 13:7-9
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.

DANIEL 12:4,1,9-10
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro,(world travel,Immigration) and knowledge shall be increased.(computers, microchip implants etc).
1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Posted on Sun, Jun. 11, 2006 It's time for a North American UnionBy STEVEN HILL,
Special to The Washington Post

WASHINGTON - Immigration issues are always ripe for demagoguery, particularly in an election year. But the solution to the very real problems along the U.S.-Mexican border can be found, ironically, in that other part of the world that demagogues love to ridicule: old Europe. Two years ago, the European Union admitted 10 new members. Like Mexico, all of these nations were poor, some of them fairly backward and most recently ravaged by war and dictatorship. The leaders of the European Union wisely created policies for fostering regional economic and political integration that make the North American Free Trade Agreement look timid and halfhearted by comparison, according to Bernd Westphal, consul general of Germany.

Europe realized it had to prevent a giant sucking sound of businesses and jobs relocating from the 15 wealthier nations to the 10 poorer ones. It also had to foster prosperity and the spread of a middle class and prevent an influx of poor workers to the richer nations. So for starters, it gave the new states billions in subsidies to help construct schools, roads, telecommunications and
housing, thus making these nations more attractive for business investment. It was expensive, but the result has been a larger economic union in which a rising tide floats all boats. In return, the 10 poorer nations had to agree to raise their standards on the environment, labor law, health and safety -- and more.

Worker migration is regulated. Immigrants will be carefully integrated so as to cause the least disruption to the developed economies, with the goal of having open borders down the road. This bold yet carefully planned EU approach suggests the direction that policy between the United States and Mexico should take. The demands of the global economy will push North American
regional integration out of the realm of a shadow economy and flawed free-trade agreement. But what might such a U.S.-Mexico union look like?

It would start with massive subsidies from the United States to Mexico, a Tex-Mex Marshall Plan, with the goal of decreasing disparities on the Mexican side of the border and fostering a climate riper for investment. This would create more jobs in Mexico and foster a middle class, homeownership and better schools, roads and health care. Mexicans would stay home, becoming consumers of U.S. products. But Europe's union is not just an economic one. It also includes continentwide political institutions for all 25 nations. As American-Mexican economic integration unfolds, regional political structures also make sense to allow better coordination and supervision of the regulatory regime and common goals. We always assume that opening the border means hordes of Mexicans streaming north, but under this scenario, more Americans also would begin emigrating to Mexico.

With the cost of living spiraling along the U.S. coasts, many Americans would find not only the cheaper prices but also the warm climate of Mexico a more attractive alternative than relocating to Kansas. Call it the Mexican safety valve, with American workers migrating to Mexico in search of jobs, homeownership, even to start businesses. They would chase the American dream in Mexico. The Census Bureau predicts that by 2050, the number of Latinos and Asians will triple in the United States and Anglos will make up only 50 percent of the nation's population. For many people, these changes are alarming, but economic disparities guarantee that poor Mexicans will continue seeking entry into El Norte.Given these demographic realities, gradual integration of the American and Mexican economies is the only sensible solution. The United States is missing out on huge economic opportunities; the European Union has grown to the largest trading bloc in the world.Old Europe is looking spry, while the United States is looking clumsy and stuck to the flypaper of old ideas.

REVELATION 3:10
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

PSALMS 2:4-5
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

PSALMS 8:3-9
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

LUKE 21:25-26
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

One missing, six injured in Taiwan floods Sun Jun 11, 8:06 AM ET

TAIPEI (AFP) - One person was missing and six others were injured when flash floods sparked by torrential rain triggered major landslides in Taiwan. An 80-year-old man in the northern city of Hsichih fell into a ditch and was washed away Saturday, the National Fire Agency said, adding that he was feared dead.A train carrying some 600 passengers derailed in the central county of
Miaoli after a landslide hit the line. The driver and five passengers were injured, the agency said Sunday.

On Sunday the army and police mobilized a fleet of helicopters to transport hundreds of tourists stranded at two mountainous hot spring spots in Taichung and Nantou counties. Among those rescued were 14 tourists from China's northeastern province of Heilongjiang. It was really scary. This was the heaviest downpours I have ever seen in my life,a Chinese male tourist told a local
television station after his group was evacuated to safety. The Council of Agriculture put 320 rivers island-wide on flood alert and urged residents to heighten vigilance against possible landslides. The council estimated that the floods had caused crop damage worth at least 500 million Taiwan dollars (more than 15 million US).

Alberto becomes first named storm of '06 By PHIL DAVIS, Associated Press Writer 34 minutes

ago TAMPA, Fla. - Tropical Storm Alberto, the first named storm of the 2006 Atlantic hurricane season, developed Sunday in the Gulf of Mexico and appeared likely to soak parts of Florida and Cuba with heavy rain, forecasters said. By midday, the storm had maximum
sustained wind near 45 mph, up 10 mph from early in the morning, but it was not likely to grow into a hurricane, the National Hurricane Center said.

The satellite presentation of the storm is not very impressive, so not much additional strengthening is anticipated, said hurricane specialist Richard Pasch. The prospect of a wet storm without hurricane-force wind was welcomed by firefighters who have been battling wildfires for six weeks on Florida's east coast.

A good soaking rain would do a lot to help stop the fires in our area, said Pat Kuehn, a spokes woman for Volusia County Fire Services. It has been a hard fire season. We've had several fires a week here.Forecasters said up to 30 inches of rain could fall over the western half of Cuba, creating a threat of flash floods and mudslides, and up to 8 inches could fall over the Florida Keys and the state's Gulf Coast.Residents of the state's Gulf Coast were watching the storm, including Patricia Haberland, whose back porch was flooded by 12 inches of rain in March. She put a few valuables in plastic bins this weekend just to be on the safe side.

Other than that, we're carrying on as usual, going to work, going to church, said Haberland, 52. It doesn't look like it's going to have a major impact on our area.At 11 a.m. EDT, Alberto was centered about 400 miles west of Key West and about 445 miles south-southwest of Apalachicola, forecasters said.

It was moving northwest at about 9 mph but was expected to turn northeastward in the direction of central or northern Florida, where it could make landfall early Tuesday, forecasters said. The tropical depression that produced Alberto formed Saturday, nine days after the official start of the hurricane season, in the northwest Caribbean, which can produce typically weak storms that follow a similar track this time of year, forecasters said. They can also meander in the Gulf for awhile, and we've seen some dissipate before reaching any land areas,Pasch said.

There is no guarantee (Alberto) will make landfall. Scientists say the 2006 season could produce up to 16 named storms, six of them major hurricanes.Last year's hurricane season was the most destructive on record. Hurricane Katrina devastated Louisiana and Mississippi and was blamed for more than 1,570 deaths in Louisiana alone. It also was the busiest in 154 years of storm tracking, with a records 28 named storms and a record 15 hurricanes. Meteorologists used up their list of 21 proper names — beginning with Arlene and ending with Wilma — and had to use the Greek alphabet to name storms for the first time. This year, however, meteorologists have said the Atlantic is not as warm as it was at this time in 2005, meaning potential storms would have less of the energy needed to develop into hurricanes.Last year's first named storm was
Tropical Storm Arlene, which formed June 9 and made landfall just west of Pensacola in the Florida Panhandle.(On the Net: National Hurricane Center: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/)

30 ROCKETS IN 24 HRS

I wish I could understand why the WORLD condems ISRAEL for everything, yet the Arabs have blown up thousands upon thousands of ISRAELI Children, Women and Men. Why the USA and western countries stick up for the Arabs and not Israel is beyond me. When the Bible clearly says its Israels land given to them by GOD, and who ever blesses ISRAEL will be blessed, whoever curses ISRAEL will be cursed and destroyed.

This just tells me theres not a whole lot of Christian people in the West. We claim to be Christian Nations in the West, but we sure don't go by what GOD says or everyone who calls themselves Christians would be sticking up for ISRAEL and not the Arabs on the Mideast Land Issue.

Now we know why the Bible says if you do my saying not just talk my sayings you are of GOD. Christians we better start believing the Bible and stick up for ISRAEL and help them with this Arab situation. We must demand its ISRAELS land givin them by the creator of everything thats been created GOD, not Politicians, not the European Union, not the United Nations. We must stick up for Israel and help them get the Arabs off their GOD givin land. The Bible clearly says the ISRAELIS and ARABS will live side by side in the future but ISRAEL will control the MIDEAST and JERUSALEM will be the WORLD CAPITAL.

The bounderies of the state of Israel are recorded in scripture. (see Numbers 34:2-15; Joshua 11:16-23; 13:11-22.) The bounderies are futhur described in Ezekiel 47:13-28 and all of chapter 48. Here is the Land Abraham, Isaac and Jacobs (Israels) decendants inherit forever.

Egypt east of the Nile River, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, The southern part of Turkey and the Western Half of Iraq west of the Euphrates. Gen 13:14-15, Psm 105:9,11, Gen 15:18, Exe 23:31, Num 34:1-12, Josh 1:4.

Unfortunately the Bible does say it will be through GOD and WAR not peace that ISRAEL gets their land. So the Bible will all come to pass (since GOD can not lie), everything the Bible says is and will come to pass literally just like JESUS' BIRTH, DEATH and RESURRECTION was literal, the Prophecies from the ISRAELI Prophets will come to pass literally not Spiritually like some Churches teach (FALSE TEACHING).

Of course if you believe this false teaching that ISRAEL is the Church and JERUSALEM is heaven you can eliminate ISRAEL and JERUSALEM from the Prophecies and believe anything in your Imagination. SMARTIN UP WORLD, THE WORLD WILL BE TEMPORARILY DESTROYED TO GIVE PEOPLE HINTS THAT THE GOD OF ISRAEL IS IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING, NO MAN.

GENESIS 12:3
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

JOEL 3:2
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

Kassam rain falls on Negev townsMore than 30 fired in 24 hours by terrorists of Hamas-led PA
By Stan GoodenoughJune 11, 2006

“Palestinians” taking full advantage of an explosion that killed seven Arabs on Friday – and an incident that led Israel to suspend retaliatory shelling – unleashed a barrage of Kassam rockets at Israeli towns in the Negev over the weekend.Terrorist members of Hamas, the organization controlling the Palestinian Authority, have been behind the attacks, which have seen at least 32 rockets fired in a 36 hour period.Hamas, which has purportedly been observing a “ceasefire” against Israel, announced its intention to “resume” attacks after the incident on Friday.

Its intention, said an official, is to render the population center of S’derot into a ghost town. At least one person was critically wounded, and a number lightly injured, when four out of 13 rockets fired Sunday morning hit the S’derot area. One landed near a first grade classroom. The town ordered all schools closed and instructed parents to keep their children off the street to protect them from attacks. As the rockets were falling, S’derot mayor Eli Moyal was meeting with officials in the Prime Minister’s Office, where he complained at the lack of adequate security precautions being taken on behalf of his townspeople. Moyal was told to convey to his citizens that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert supported them in their situation.

Because of the ban on artillery retaliation, it took most of Sunday morning before Israeli Air Force planes began targeting Kassam cells with rocket fire. At least one two-man Kassam firing cell was blown apart in an IAF missile strike.
