2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

23 And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.
24 He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.

DANIEL 9:26-27
26 And after threescore and two weeks(62X7=434 YEARS+7X7=49 YEARS=TOTAL OF 69 WEEKS OR 483 YRS) shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;(ROMAN LEADERS DESTROYED THE 2ND TEMPLE) and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.(THERE HAS TO BE 70 WEEKS OR 490 YRS TO FUFILL THE VISION AND PROPHECY OF DAN 9:24).(THE NEXT VERSE IS THAT 7 YR WEEK OR (70TH FINAL WEEK).

ISAIAH 28:14-19 (THIS IS THE 7 YR TREATY COVENANT OF DANIEL 9:27)
14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

Op-Ed: It Pays to Mutilate Jewish Children

Published: Tuesday, July 30, 2013 5:17 AM-Israelnationalnews
Terrorism has led to sad and inglorious appeasement. And because the Palestinian leadership has always used terrorism as the tactic of first resort, their cause has received worldwide recognition.

The terrorists’ proper place is in the Meditarranean with Adolf Eichmann, who was hanged and his ashes disposed of at sea.
A Jewish mother and her babies burned alive in a car after a firebomb was thrown through the window. The cruel disfiguring of her small children. The mutilation of Jewish families. And the Israeli establishment which, in order to please the Western anti-Semitic conscience, has been so naive that the country that once repeated that "terrorism doesn't work" now releases the murderers of the Moses family. At the entrance to Alfei Menashe there is a monument remembering Ofra Moses and her son Tal. If you look closely, you can make out the figure of Ofra still in her car seat–with Tal closely behind her, burned to death by Arabs. "What else does a man, a terrorist like this, have to do in order to get the death sentence?'', the father, Avraham Moses said, after the sentence of life imprisonment was announced.
Arab torture and terrorism work. And the mutilation of Jewish families led to political gains. There is no other logical conclusion we can draw after Israel decided to free dozens of monsters who in the pre Oslo era killed hundreds of Jews. Terrorism has been a winning strategy for Arab irredentism.First of all, the Jews killed by Palestinians are treated as second class victims by global and humanitarian organizations, by the robber barons of The Hague international Court, by the mainstream media and by the Israeli establishment itself. It is as though these Jews have never existed. Their blood has been shed for nothing.Second, the Arab terrorists have never been put to death, like was done to Timothy McVeigh, the bomber of Oklahoma City. They paid a very low price for the crimes they committed against the Jewish people.Third, terrorism politically led to an infinite and absurd wave of Israeli retreats: Yamit, South Lebanon, Gush Katif, North Samaria... The Palestinian Arabs already control  60 percent of Judea and Samaria. Were it not for their employment of despicable terrorism, the Palestinian cause would today be regarded as the non-issue that it rightfully is. But because the Palestinian leadership has always used terrorism as the tactic of first resort, their cause has received worldwide recognition. The Popes, the White House, the UN, the New York Times, even the liberal Jews, everybody loves the Arabs.Terror attacks on scores of unarmed Jewish civilians by Palestinian factions have succeeded in moving the Israeli electorate and politicians towards an accommodating stance regarding the political objectives of the Palestinians. There is an upward trend over time in the willingness of Israelis to make concessions, from 39% in 1988 to 57% in 2006. Terrorism led to appeasement. Evil is advancing.First, under Oslo, Israel gave the Arabs the arms so they could kill the Jews. Then, by freeing the terrorists who used those weapons, Israel sent a clear message to the Palestinian supremacists: you have no other choice but armed struggle.Capitulating culminates in greater disasters. Sparing the terrorists’ lives encourages other subhumans to take innocent lives.Mus’ab Ismail aI-Hashlimun, after his release in the Tennenbaum deal sent two suicide terrorists to Beer Sheva where they killed 16 people. Appeasement breeds death and destruction. The Arab terrorists with minor sentences should suffer solitary confinement, no visitors rights, no academic studies, no goodies, no newspapers or television, their house demolished.
The most serious terrorists should be sent to the gallows, and all their families should be deported to Jordan. The terrorists’ proper place is in the Meditarranean with Adolf Eichmann, who was hanged and his ashes disposed of at sea.Israel should learn from the case of Robert Brasillach, who in 1945 went before a firing squad in the fort of Montrouge, south of Paris. He was not a Nazi military leader, but a brilliant writer who used the newspaper he edited, Je Suis Partout, to applaud the deportation of Jews to extermination camps.
Not even the bodies of these Arab terrorists should be allowed to return to Ramallah, the world’s capital of necrophilia. If Israel doesn’t value the lives of its citizens enough to execute those who don’t, Israeli lives will continue to be taken by those who don’t value anyone’s life. Jews and non Jews. There is just one honorable way to defeat the bloody blisters: be merciful with the victims, be unscrupulous with the assassins.
We must admit that under this perennial threat of terrorism, many innocent Jews lost their lives, too many were wounded, too many remained traumatized, too many continue to undergo therapy, too many live their lives wheelchair-bound, while the Arab savages paid a very small price, they enjoyed the newspapers' support - and  idiotic Israel has been diminished in dimension, might and honor. Jews died and the Arabs almost got a state.True. The Israeli buses continued to travel even if they left burned carcasses here and there, and the stops were always crowded. The supermarkets stood open. Every time a bomb exploded, the signs of the blast were quickly removed; windows were repaired; bullet holes were patched. The places that were blown up reopened after two days.Israel has lost 22,570 soldiers in war, and 2,000 citizens in terrorist attacks since the Olso Accords, but the population has not abandoned the stone houses, the alleyways or restaurants, nor the beaches and bars of Tel Aviv; no one has stopped attending schools or universities; Israeli medicine, physics, and agriculture continue to produce Nobel Prizes. But at the end of the day, terrorism worked, because Israel is giving into it and rewards it. And because the world intimately loves to see mutilated Jewish babies.Who is winning in this tragic race between the Israeli bereaved mothers and the hate-filled Arab mothers who send their own children out to murder Jews and die? You know the answer. I do, and it makes me sad.

Op-Ed: Jewish Lives are Worthless,Their Murder Doesn't Count

Published: Monday, July 29, 2013 10:07 PM-Israelnationalnews
What is Israel's raison d'etre?

Ofrah Moses was pregnant when she was murdered along with her son and her fetus.  The murderer was Mohammed A'del Daud, who threw a petrol bomb at their car in 1987.  He is about to be set free by Benjamin Netanyahu in order to prove to the world the Jews are Untermenschen whose lives are worthless and whose murder does not count.  The Israeli Left is cheering Netanyahu on!  The road to peace depends on Jews acquiescing in being defined and treated as sub-humans, whose lives have no worth.Rachel Weiss was burned to death together with her three small children in 1988 when the bus she was riding in was attacked by petrol bombs.  The murderer was Mahmoud Abu-Charbeesh.   He is about to be set free by Benjamin Netanyahu in order to prove to the world the Jews are Untermenschen whose lives are worthless and whose murder does not count. In 1985 Meir ben Yair and Michal Cohen were sitting in their car in a forest near Beit Shemesh when they were murdered by Mustafa Ganimat, together with his two terrorist friends.  He is about to be set free by Benjamin Netanyahu in order to prove to the world the Jews are Untermenschen whose lives are worthless and whose murder does not count.Leah Almakeis and Yosef Eliyahu were murdered while hiking in a forest on Mt. Gilboa.  Their murderer was Othman bni Chasin.  He is about to be set free by Benjamin Netanyahu in order to prove to the world the Jews are Untermenschen whose lives are worthless and whose murder does not count.Isa Abd Rabo murdered Ravital Sri and Ron Levi near the Chrimison monastery, stabbing them to death.  He is about to be set free by Benjamin Netanyahu in order to prove to the world the Jews are Untermenschen whose lives are worthless and whose murder does not count. One  of Israel's leading historians, Professor Menachem Stern, was murdered in 1989, stabbed to death by Mahmoud Isa Muammar in the Valley of the Cross in Jerusalem.  The terrorist also murdered three other people.   He is about to be set free by Benjamin Netanyahu in order to prove to the world the Jews are Untermenschen whose lives are worthless and whose murder does not count.
The above are just a few of the murderers of men, women and children that Benjamin Netanyahu is about to set free in order to prove to the world the Jews are Untermenschen whose lives are worthless and whose murder does not count.Netanyahu is setting these murderers free as "payment" for the PLO to go through the motions of participating in make-pretend "negotiations," and as a sop for John Kerry.   Netanyahu is "paying" for the Kodak moment in the currency of mass murderers, all so the PLO will sit down with some Israeli representatives and demand that Israel be annihilated by means of the "Palestinian Right of Return," this after Israel "returns" to its pre-1967 Auschwitz borders and offers the PLO swaths of pre-1967 Israeli lands.  Netanyahu will be setting free 104 murderers as the purchase price for this show. Some suppose that Netanyahu is doing this in order to obtain some other concessions.  From the Americans, from the Eurotrash, or from the Arabs. Netanyahu is afraid to put the proposal for wholesale release of mass murderers up for a ballot referendum because he knows it would be overwhelmingly defeated.Let me say that if the price for an everlasting peace with the "Palestinians" were indeed the wholesale release of these murderers, then I would choose not to release them. I prefer a thousand years of warfare to a situation in which the Israeli government proclaims that the Jews are Untermenschen whose lives are worthless and whose murder does not count.   If the price for American materiel is the release of these mass murderers, then I prefer to forego the materiel.  If the price for a strategic understanding with the EU and Turkey needed to rein in Iran is the wholesale release of these mass murderers, then I choose to forego the strategic understanding.Israel was created for the simple purpose of proclaiming to the world that the Jews are NOT Untermenschen whose lives are worthless and whose murder does not count.   Those who threaten Jewish lives will be exterminated.  That is why Israel exists.  This is the raison d'etre of the state.   When Netanyahu abandons this, he undermines the purpose and legitimacy of the country.   Someone who refuses to accept this axiom as the fundamental basis for the existence of the state is unworthy of holding office in Israel.

Even the Labor Party Mensheviks always refused to adopt such a policy of national self-abasement.  The United States does not release terrorist mass murderers of Americans.  That is because the United States considers the lives of Americans to have value.Benjamin Netanyahu and his friends on the Israeli Left want those who murder Jews to be proclaimed great heroes. To serve as role models. To demonstrate that murder of Jews is ethical and admirable. There can be no more convincing argument in favor of implementing capital punishment for terrorists than this circus of the absurd that Netanyahu is now orchestrating.

Abbas pledges: There will be no Israelis in Palestine

‘In a final resolution, we would not see the presence of a single Israeli — civilian or soldier — on our lands,’ says PA leader

July 30, 2013, 10:39 am 12-The Times of Israel
“There was a request, ‘We’ll only build here, what do you think?’ If I agreed, I would legitimize all the rest (of the settlements). I said no. I said out loud and in writing that, to us, settlements in their entirety are illegitimate,” said Abbas. In the past, Israeli governments have toyed with a proposal first put forward by former prime minister Ariel Sharon that would see Israel maintain control of some 14% of the West Bank that is home to the larger settlement communities. Earlier this month Deputy Foreign Minister Ze’ev Elkin estimated that, if the Palestinians agreed, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would go for such a deal. Other past proposals envisioned a land-swap in which the Palestinians would gain territory from Israel to make up for settlement areas that would become a permanent part of the Jewish State.Netanyahu, who has expressed support in principle for a Palestinian state, has not specified how much West Bank territory he would be prepared to relinquish in negotiations.Abbas said that he may be open to the idea of small adjustments in the 1967 border that the Palestinians say is the otherwise nonnegotiable boundary of a future Palestinian state.“East Jerusalem is the capital of the state of Palestine … if there were and must be some kind of small exchange (of land) equal in size and value, we are ready to discuss this — no more, no less,” he said.Abbas also raised the possibility of establishing a multi-national force to act as peacekeepers in the future state for the benefit of both sides.“An international, multinational presence like in Sinai, Lebanon and Syria — we are with that,” he said and noted that he still supported a proposal that he said was discussed with former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert that NATO forces be deployed to keep the peace.
Formal talks between Israeli and Palestinian negotiators were scheduled to begin on Tuesday morning in Washington after the teams met for an informal dinner on Monday night.Talks are set to resume for approximately three hours with the last 45 minutes devoted to trilateral negotiations between US Secretary of State John Kerry, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni and chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat, after which they will deliver a joint press briefing.

TZIPI LIVNI WANTS JERUSALEM DIVIDED.SHES BEEN SAYING THAT EVER SINCE HER AND OLMERT WORKED TOGETHER.AND OVER A RAMADAN MEAL THEY TALK.THIS IS REDICULAS ISRAEL.DON'T GO NEAR THIS FAKE-FRAUD-ISRAEL STEALING-JURASELEM GRABBING CREW.OF ARABS/MUSLIMS.ISRAEL YOU SHOULD JUST USE THOSE 400 NUKES ON YOUR ENEMIES AROUND USE INSTEAD.THEN USE WOULD HAVE PEACE.AND NOT HAVE TO GIVE UP MURDERERS INSTEAD FOR FAKE PEACE TALKS.THAT JUST STEAL YOUR GOD GIVIN LAND. Familiar cast as US launches new Mideast peace bid

Israeli, Palestinian negotiating teams sit down to talk for first time in three years over festive Ramadan meal at State Department

July 30, 2013, 4:56 am 3-The times of Israel
The Israeli side will be led by chief negotiator Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, a former foreign minister who was active in the Bush’s administration’s ill-fated Annapolis peace talks with the Palestinians, and Yitzhak Molcho, a veteran adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who was part of the Israeli team involved in Obama’s two previous attempts to broker negotiations. Those two efforts relied heavily on Dennis Ross, a former Indyk colleague and Mideast peace envoy, and veteran negotiator George Mitchell. The Palestinian team will be led by Saeb Erekat and President Mahmoud Abbas’ adviser, Mohammed Shtayyeh, both of whom have been major players in failed negotiations with the Israelis since 1991.Former envoy Martin Indyk, who played key roles in the Clinton administration’s multiple, unsuccessful pushes to broker peace deals between Israel and Syria and Israel and the Palestinians, will assume the day-to-day responsibility for keeping the talks alive for the next nine months.Kerry called Indyk a “seasoned diplomat” and said he “knows what has worked and he knows what hasn’t worked.” Neither Kerry nor the State Department would say what has worked in the past, although the fact that there is no peace deal now would seem to indicate that nothing has worked in resolving the Israeli-Palestinian standoff.President Barack Obama echoed Kerry’s hopeful sentiment in a White House statement that said Indyk “brings unique experience and insight to this role, which will allow him to contribute immediately as the parties begin down the tough, but necessary, path of negotiations.”Kerry spoke for about 45 minutes with representatives from the Israeli negotiating team and then another roughly 45 minutes with the Palestinian side before sitting down for dinner on the top floor of the State Department.“Not very much to talk about at all,” Kerry joked just before starting dinner shortly after 9 p.m.They sat at a rectangular table — five US officials lining one side and the two Israeli and two Palestinian negotiators on the other — to dine on sweet corn and shell bean soup, grilled grouper, saffron risotto, summer vegetables and apricot upside down cake.“This is the beginning of final-status arrangements on a nine-month timetable,” said State Department Spokeswoman Jen Psaki. She emphasized that the two sides “have agreed to a timetable” but that “it is not a deadline, but an agreement that they will work together for at least this period.

Before the dinner, Livni sat down with Indyk at the Mayflower Hotel in downtown Washington. Livni addressed the press ahead of the meeting and said: “The aim of these talks is to end a conflict that has lasted years. It sounds simple, but it’s not.” She continued by saying that solving the conflict is in Israel’s interests, and that it’s not a “favor” to the Palestinians or to the Americans.“It’s very complicated and complex,” she said. “We are embarking on a journey that will doubtless take time. We will need to evaluate things down the road and see if it [a peace deal] is achievable, and how.”Despite the presence of so many people whose past experience does not include success, Kerry and other officials voiced cautious optimism about the resumption of talks which he painstakingly negotiated during six months of shuttle diplomacy that began with Obama’s own trip to Israel in March.“It sounds like we’re lucky to have decades of experience ready to come back to the table and make an effort to push forward,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.Previous attempts to get talks started have foundered on Israel’s continued construction of Jewish settlements on land claimed by the Palestinians and Palestinian attempts to win international recognition as a sovereign state in the absence of a peace deal. Actual negotiations have died because the two sides have been unable to compromise on the most serious disagreements between them: borders, the status of Jerusalem, refugees and security. With a US-imposed gag order on revealing any details about the substance or framework of the talks, gauging progress will be difficult. But the outlines of any eventual peace deal are fairly well known: a Palestinian state based on the lines that existed before the 1967 war in which Israel seized east Jerusalem and occupied the Palestinian territories, with agreed land swaps and recognition of a secure, Jewish state of Israel. But neither side will publicly commit to those goals, and getting there will require major concessions that will be difficult to sell to the Israeli and Palestinian publics.Ahead of the initial discussions on procedures and guidelines for the meetings, which the US hopes will grow into deeper, more substantive talks on the key sticking points, Kerry urged both sides to strive for “reasonable compromises on tough, complicated, emotional and symbolic issues.”He acknowledged that the path ahead would be long and difficult. But he said that Indyk had the respect and confidence of all involved and that his vast experience in Middle East diplomacy could only help.“Ambassador Indyk is realistic,” Kerry said. “He understands that Israeli-Palestinian peace will not come easily and it will not happen overnight. But he also understands that there is now a path forward and we must follow that path with urgency. He understands that to ensure that lives are not needlessly lost, we have to ensure that opportunities are not needlessly lost.”
Indyk, 62, will take a leave of absence from his current job as vice president and foreign policy director at the Washington-based Brookings Institution think tank.In announcing Indyk’s appointment, Kerry noted the former ambassador had opened the preface to his 2009 book, “Innocent Abroad: An Intimate Account of American Peacemaking Diplomacy in the Middle East,” with lines from the English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge.“If men could learn from history, what lessons it would teach us,” Kerry quoted. He did not continue to the next lines as Indyk did in his book:“But passion and party blind our eyes,”“And the light which experience gives us is a lantern on the stern,”“Which shines only on the waves behind us.”

The basic principle of the talks is that nothing is over until everything is over'

NASA Discovery: Giant Hole In The Sun Spews Solar Material Into Space

Coronal Spot on the Sun
NASA scientists pointing a telescope at the sun have discovered a gigantic hole in the solar atmosphere. The dark spot covers nearly a quarter of our closest star and is shooting solar material and gas into space.
Known as a coronal hole, the dark spot is located over the sun’s north pole. The discovery was witnessed from July 13 through July 18. NASA’s discovery was made using the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory, or SOHO.
Following the discovery, NASA released a video of the sun’s hole.A Coronal hole is a darker, cool region of the sun’s atmosphere where solar material is contained. In the gaps, magnetic field lines whip out into the solar wind instead of looping back to the sun’s surface. The sun’s holes are able to affect space weather as they send solar particles shooting away from the sun’s surface. Materials are hurled away from the sun in coronal spots at three times faster than regular solar winds.
According to NASA:
“While it’s unclear what causes coronal holes, they correlate to areas on the sun where magnetic fields soar up and away, failing to loop back down to the surface, as they do elsewhere.”
Coronal holes are not uncommon, but, with the sun reaching its 11-year peak in activity, they typically decrease in number. The 11-year peak is the solar maximum in which the sun’s poles switch their magnetism. When the poles reversal is complete, new coronal holes will appear near each pole. As the solar minimum appears, the holes move closer to the sun’s equator as they grow in size and number.
NASA’s discovery is just one more in a line of many to be discovered since the agency launched the $1.27 billion SOHO satellite in 1995.SOHO is a joint effort between NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA). SOHO watches the sun from a gravitational stable spot between the Earth and the Sun known as Lagrange Point 1.

Florida propane plant explosion injures 8

Homes near Blue Rhino plant in Tavares, near Orlando, evacuated

Some two hours after the first explosions were reported the main fire appeared to be dying down, revealing the wreckage of what appeared to be burned-out trucks. Eight people were injured after a a series of explosions rocked a central Florida gas plant Monday night.
John Herrell of the Lake County Sheriff's Office said early Tuesday there were no fatalities despite massive blasts that ripped through the Blue Rhino propane plant. Officials initially scrambled to find more than a dozen employees after the explosions.
"Management is comfortable saying all of those they knew were there tonight have been accounted for," he said.Fire Chief Richard Keith said possible causes of the explosion may be either equipment malfunction or possibly human error. Sabotage was not suspected.
Tavares, FloridaTavares, Florida (Google)One person injured in the explosion was listed in critical condition at University of Florida Health Shands Hospital and three others were listed in critical condition at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Herrell said some others drove themselves to area hospitals.
The Blue Rhino plant, which is northwest of Orlando, refilled propane tanks typically used for barbecues and other uses. There were some 53,000 76-litre tanks at the plant on Monday.Herrell said a crew of 24 to 26 people was working the overnight shift when the explosions occurred around 10:30 p.m. Monday.
Tuesday morning, smoke still billowed from a storage container on the property, which consists of a couple of warehouses next to each other. The parking lot was littered with thousands of blackened propane containers. Nearby, three 114,000-litre tanks of propane sat untouched. Officials said hoses designed to spray water on the large tanks in case of fire, didn't go off as planned.Firefighters had to wait about four hours before they could go near the fire because the conditions were so dangerous.Video footage on WESH-TV in Orlando showed fires burning through trucks used to transport propane tanks, which were parked at the plant. The fire sent plumes of smoke into the air hours after the blast.According to the Leesburg Daily Commercial, the plant was built in 2004 and employs fewer than 50 people.

24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power:(SATANS POWER) and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes;(JESUS) but he shall be broken without hand.

DANIEL 11:36-39
36 And the king (EU DICTATOR) shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers,(THIS EU DICTATOR IS JEWISH) nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.(CLAIM TO BE GOD)
38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces:(WAR) and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god,(DESTROY TERROR GROUPS) whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many,(HIS ARMY LEADERS) and shall divide the land for gain.

REVELATION 19:19

France and Germany seek to revive EU defence policy

Today @ 16:51 JULY 30,13
By Honor Mahony
BRUSSELS - The EU needs to do more for international security France and Germany have said as they call for improved battlegroups and the use of drones in civilian airspace. In a joint letter and ideas paper, dated Friday (26 July), the foreign ministers of both countries say that amid "asymmetrical threats" the EU needs to "assume increased responsibility for international peace and security."They add that they are committed to making a planned EU defence summit in December a "success" with "tangible results."
Among the results they are hoping for is agreement on improved "operational effectiveness" of EU battle groups, clusters of 1,500 soldiers meant to be deployed rapidly.Launched in 2007, they have never been used. And ambitions have been scaled back amid dwindling defence budgets.Berlin and Paris say this could be countered by "advanced planning on the most likely scenarios" where battle groups could be used.
The paper also suggests "seizing the opportunities" arising from the creation of a single European air traffic space. These include opportunities for military aircraft and the use of drones. It calls on the European defence agency to examine the "operational and financial impact of SESAR (Europe's single air traffic control infrastructure) on military aviation."Member states and EU institutions are urged to "progress towards the air traffic insertion of remotely piloted aircraft systems."The paper also calls for an upgrade in cyber security systems, an EU-level "clearing house" to help regional allies to prevent or manage military crises; better border management and a maritime strategy that outlines how the EU should safeguard its "strategic interests."The Franco-German initiative comes after France earlier this year found itself alone in putting soldiers on the ground in Mali to fight jihadists, with other EU countries reluctant to help out.Meanwhile, although France and the UK, the EU's most significant military powers, made the most noise about a military intervention in Libya in 2011, they were unable to take action without the US' help.More broadly, Washington has said it will intensify its role in the Asia-Pacific region, leaving the EU to do more in its own neighbourhood.Paris and Berlin say their paper should form the basis of discussions at an informal foreign ministers' meeting in September. EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton is also due to produce an interim paper on defence before the September meeting, to be followed later in autumn by a fuller report.
The EU commission has also chipped with ideas on making defence spending more efficient and the importance of implementing defence-related legislation. The papers will feed into the 19 December gathering of EU leaders, exactly a year after leaders laid out the main weaknesses of EU defence policy.

ISAIAH 17:1,11-14
1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
11  In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.
12  Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations,(USELESS U.N) that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
13  The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
14  And behold at evening tide trouble; and before the morning he is not.(ASSAD) This is the portion of them that spoil us,(ISRAEL) and the lot of them that rob us.

JEREMEIAH 49:23-27
23  Concerning Damascus.(SYRIA) Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea;(WAR SHIPS WITH NUKES COMING ON SYRIA) it cannot be quiet.
24  Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail.
25  How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!
26  Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD of hosts.
27  And I will kindle a fire (NUKES OR BOMBS) in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.(ASSADS PALACES POSSIBLY IN DAMASCUS)

EGYPT

ISAIAH 19:1-5
1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
5 And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.

PSALMS 83:3-7

Egypt allows EU envoy to see deposed president

By Maggie Fick and Matt Robinson
CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt allowed Europe's top diplomat to meet deposed Islamist president Mohamed Mursi on Monday, flying her after dark to Mursi's secret detention facility but ruling out any role for him in ending the turmoil convulsing the country.Catherine Ashton, the European Union's foreign policy chief, became the first outsider to see Mursi since he was deposed by the army on July 3, taken into detention and placed under investigation on charges including murder. His fate - and a deadly crackdown by security forces on his supporters - has raised global anxiety about a possible bid to crush Mursi's Muslim Brotherhood, a movement that emerged from decades in the shadows to win power in elections after the 2011 uprising against Hosni Mubarak.Ashton revealed little about what she called a "friendly, open and very frank" two-hour conversation with the deposed president. An aide said they had "in-depth" talks."I've tried to make sure that his family knows he is well," said Ashton, who has emerged as one of the only figures accepted by both sides as mediator in a conflict that has found the United States cast as a meddling hand.Flown to the meeting by military helicopter, Ashton said Mursi had access to television and newspapers and was informed about the situation in the country. "I saw where he was," she said. "I don't know where he is but I saw the facilities he has."Ashton spent Monday shuttling between Egypt's rulers and the Brotherhood to try to pull the country back from more bloodshed. In a possible sign of progress, a spokesman for Ashton said EU envoy Bernadino Leon would travel to Cairo on Wednesday to "continue the work."Nearly 300 people have been killed in violence since Mursi was removed, including 80 of his supporters gunned down at dawn on Saturday as they marched from a month-long vigil at a mosque in northern Cairo.
ARMY ROAD MAP
The Brotherhood vows to protest until Mursi is reinstated. It said its supporters would be on the move again on Tuesday, though twice this week it has failed to follow through on pledges to march to sensitive security facilities in Cairo. The U.S. embassy said it was closing early on Tuesday in anticipation of marches in Cairo's diplomatic district. The crisis has left Washington treading a fine line with a pivotal Arab ally that it funds with $1.3 billion a year in military aid and whose stability is of crucial importance to Middle East peace.Ashton stressed the need for an "inclusive" process to ending the confrontation, one that would necessarily include the Brotherhood. But Egypt's army-installed interim government made clear Mursi would not be part of it.
"No," interim Vice President Mohamed ElBaradei told a joint news conference with Ashton when asked whether Mursi could be part of a future process of negotiation and reconciliation."I think there is a new road map," ElBaradei said. "Mr. Mursi failed, but the Brotherhood very much continue to be part of the political process and we would like them to continue to be part of the political process."He said an end to violence, which the government blames on its foes, would allow the shutdown of the Brotherhood's sit-in protests and create room for dialogue. The Brotherhood accuses the security forces of stirring up the violence to justify their crackdown on the Islamists.Media have speculated about why the military-backed rulers would have allowed Ashton to meet the ousted leader, who had been kept incommunicado for a month. She denied carrying an offer to Mursi of "safe exit" if he were to renounce his claim to the presidency. Many people have suggested such an arrangement could be part of a deal that would allow the Brotherhood to leave the streets and join an army-backed "road map" to civilian rule, but would require Mursi to abandon his historic mandate as Egypt's first freely-elected leader.
CALL FOR RELEASE
The road map envisions parliamentary elections in about six months to be followed by presidential polls. Accusing the army of mounting a coup, the Brotherhood says it wants nothing to do with it. The army said it acted in response to mass protests last month against Mursi.Meeting Mursi was a condition of Ashton's offer to visit Egypt, where she also met the general who removed him and other leaders on her second trip in 12 days.Since the fall of Mubarak as the Arab Spring revolutions took hold more than two years ago, the Arab world's most populous nation has remained in turmoil, arousing concern among allies in the West and in neighboring Israel, with which Egypt has had a peace treaty since 1979.Egypt's authorities say Mursi is being investigated on accusations including murder, stemming from a 2011 jailbreak when he escaped detention during protests against Mubarak. The Brotherhood says the accusations, including conspiring with the Palestinian group Hamas, are absurd and trumped up to justify his detention. He has not been officially charged.French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius called on Tuesday for Mursi to be released. Washington and other Western capitals have made similar calls.(Additional reporting by Tom Perry, Asma Alsharif, Shadia Nasralla; Writing by Michael Georgy, Tom Perry and Matt Robinson; Editing by Giles Elgood)

Mideast talks to resume amid deep skepticism

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli and Palestinian teams flew to Washington on Monday to end five years of diplomatic stalemate and prepare for a new round of Mideast peace talks, though optimism was in short supply after two decades of failed attempts to reach a deal. The resumption of talks was made possible by a decision by Israel's Cabinet on Sunday to free 104 long-held Palestinian prisoners in four stages, linked to progress in talks. The release was part of an agreement brokered early this month by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to bring the sides back to the negotiating table.Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has been reluctant to negotiate with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, fearing the hard-line Israeli leader will reject what the Palestinians consider minimal territorial demands. The Palestinians want a state in the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem, territories Israel captured in 1967, but have accepted the principle of limited land swaps to allow Israel to annex some of the dozens of settlements it has built on war-won lands.Abbas had repeatedly said he will only go to talks if Israel either freezes settlement building or recognizes the 1967 lines as a starting point for drawing the border of a state of Palestine.Palestinian officials reiterated Monday that they received US assurances that Washington considers the 1967 lines the basis for border talks.
However, a senior Abbas aide acknowledged that Israel has not signed on to that principle. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the issue with reporters.Senior Israeli officials have also reiterated in recent days that settlement construction would continue. The Palestinian official said the expected prisoner release went a long way toward persuading Abbas to give negotiations another chance, even without Israel meeting his long-standing demands on the terms of such talks. The two teams are to meet for the first time later Monday in Washington for discussions that will not deal with the fundamental issues of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but rather aim to lay the foundations for full-fledged peace talks later this year. The U.S. State Department said they would try to establish a work plan for the broader negotiations, which are to last six to nine months.Israel is represented by chief negotiator Tzipi Livni and Yitzhak Molcho, a veteran Netanyahu adviser. The Palestinian team consists of chief negotiator Saeb Erekat and Abbas aide Mohammed Shtayyeh. The actual negotiations are to be held in the region.Livni said before her departure for Washington that she is going to the talks "cautiously, but also with hope."Hanan Ashrawi, a Palestinian spokeswoman, said the talks are being held under more difficult conditions than previous negotiations. She cited the Palestinian political split, with Western-backed moderate Abbas and the Islamic militant Hamas running rival governments in the West Bank and Gaza, as well as the more hawkish positions of Netanyahu, compared to his predecessor."But I think there is a recognition of the urgency," she said. "If we don't move fast and decisively, things could fall apart."Hamas, which seized Gaza from Abbas in 2007, has dismissed the new talks, and the militant movement's spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri on Monday rejected the notion that Abbas is representing the Palestinians at the talks.Resuming negotiations "is a dangerous step and the only beneficiary is the occupation (Israel), which uses it as a cover for its continued crimes," Abu Zuhri said.Hamas wants to establish an Islamic state in all of historic Palestine, including what is now Israel. Hamas has raised the possibility of long-term cease-fires under some circumstances, but has made clear it would not consider a partition deal to be the end of the Israeli-Arab conflict. The expected resumption of talks comes after six months of shuttle diplomacy by Kerry, and Israel's agreement to release veteran prisoners was key to the secretary's success. The Cabinet decision was welcomed by Palestinians and some drew angry reactions in Israel. The fate of Palestinian prisoners is an emotional issue on both sides; Palestinians tend to view the prisoners as heroes who sacrificed for the struggle for statehood, while many Israelis seem them as cold-blooded killers. The list of prisoners eligible for release includes those who killed or wounded Israelis or killed Palestinian informers."The murderers will be released," read the front-page headline in Israel's Yediot Ahronot daily Monday.Netanyahu faced opposition in his Cabinet, though he pushed through Sunday's approval with a comfortable 13-7 vote, with two abstentions. On the streets of Israel and the West Bank, hope mixed with skepticism."I believe it's time to give it (negotiations) a chance and to try again," said Tel Aviv resident Eliot Diamant. Another city resident, Eliezer Zaiger, said he believes negotiations won't benefit Israel. That view was shared by Issam Baker in the West Bank city of Ramallah. Can Netanyahu go all the way in peace talks? And does it matter?

Conventional wisdom says the gaps are too wide, but analysts believe the PM is ready for a demilitarized ‘Palestine,’ or an interim deal. And if all that fails, he’s hoping to prevail in the blame game

July 29, 2013, 12:19 pm 7-the times of Israel
‘There are mornings when I wake up and I think that Netanyahu is bluffing the whole world. And I suspect exactly the same thing happens to Netanyahu himself’
All of this might indicate that Netanyahu has come around, and seeks to end the conflict by creating a Palestinian state. But does he really mean it when he says his goal is preventing the creation of a binational state between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, as he vowed last week? Does he really believe that he will be able to reach an agreement, fully aware that his positions (no return to 1967 lines, no division of Jerusalem, no right of return) are unacceptable to the other side? As his personal envoy Yitzhak Molcho and Justice Minister Tzipi Livni make their way to Washington, Netanyahu’s true intentions regarding the upcoming negotiations remain shrouded in mystery. Even some of his confidants dare not guess what is really going on in his heart of hearts.“There are moments in which I wake up and think that Netanyahu means to go all the way to a two-state solution. And there are mornings when I wake up and I think that Netanyahu is bluffing the whole world. And I suspect exactly the same thing happens to Netanyahu himself,” said Dani Dayan, the chief foreign envoy of the pro-settler Yesha Council.“He still holds all the cards and he hasn’t decided yet how to distribute them, to go all the way or not. He maneuvers and everyone thinks he already made a strategic decision and now he’s implementing it. I think he will make the strategic decisions when he’s further into the process. Until then, he will keep all options open.”Well-placed officials, even those close to Netanyahu and with experience in peace negotiations, said their guess about Israel’s negotiation goal or strategy was as good as anyone’s. “I got nothing I can share right now, maybe it’ll be clearer in a couple of days,” one Netanyahu protégé said. “I have no idea what’s happening there,” sighed a former official involved in previous peace talks.According to Uzi Arad, a professor of government at Herzliya’s Interdisciplinary Center and Netanyahu’s former national security adviser, there is no reason to doubt that Netanyahu was sincere in his famous Bar-Ilan speech. “If the Palestinian were to address the Israelis’ concerns, then of course Netanyahu could conceive the idea of a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people,” he said.Yoaz Hendel, who headed the Public Diplomacy Directorate at the Prime Minister’s Office from 2011 until 2012, also believes that Netanyahu is genuinely interested in preventing “the creation of a binational state,” as the prime minister declared repeatedly in recent weeks.“Four years ago, Netanyahu was standing at the podium at Bar-Ilan University and became the first leader of the right wing who recognized the Palestinians’ right to have their own state between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean,” said Hendel, who now heads the Institute of Zionist Strategy. “He crossed the Rubicon and afterward even agreed to a settlement freeze. He’s done it before — it’s wouldn’t be the first time he has done things that he used to be completely against.”While everyone with two feet on the ground knows that a full-fledged peace agreement and an end of the conflict currently isn’t attainable — as the gaps on questions of borders, Jerusalem and refugees are too wide — Netanyahu might think about an interim solution, Hendel said. The areas in the West Bank autonomously ruled by the PA — Areas A and B — are “already a kind of a state” and Netanyahu theoretically could agree to a Palestinian state in provisional borders there, he added, and international consensus sees Israel annexing the major settlement blocs under any agreement. The real problem is what to do with the rest of Area C, where some 100,000 Jewish settlers live. “I cannot see any scenario in which Netanyahu evacuates those people, just to gamble on a peace agreement that no one can guarantee will survive,” Hendel said. What would Netanyahu ask in return for the recognition of a Palestinian state in Areas A, B and perhaps small parts of C? Hendel says he’s not sure what his former boss aims for, but he suggests annexing the settlement blocs. “Just think about the fact that he will be able to build in Efrat, Maaleh Adumim and Ariel. It would be a huge achievement,” Hendel said. The idea of partial agreements is also popular with other Mideast analysts. “In the Middle East, I feel that whenever it’s all or nothing, it’s always nothing,” said David Makovsky, the director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy’s project on the peace process. “If they try to do it all, they may fail. But if they try to settle for less and don’t overreach, they may achieve things.”According to a prominent leader of Israel’s right wing, who asked to remain anonymous, Netanyahu is approaching the peace talks with two possibilities in mind. Firstly, if the unthinkable happens and the two sides reach an agreement, he will enter the history books as the man who brought peace to the Middle East, even if it means a withdrawal from much territory and a division of Jerusalem, he added.‘If the negotiations miraculously succeed, it’s a win for him. If the negotiations fail, it’s also a win for him because he believes the Americans will blame the Palestinians’“But his working assumption is that this will not happen and that the Palestinians, as always, will cause the negotiations to collapse,” the source said. “In this case, he expects to play up the blame game. In such a scenario, Netanyahu hopes for a period of quiet from the American administration.”
It’s a win-win strategy for Netanyahu: “If the negotiations miraculously succeed, it’s a win for him. If the negotiations fail, it’s also a win for him because he believes the Americans will blame the Palestinians,” the source said.Netanyahu thinks ahead, this source said. By pushing through the release of the Palestinian prisoners, he created the image of a strong leader willing to antagonize his people and his government for the sake of peace. “We made painful concessions even before the talks started. It’s the Palestinians who aren’t ready for peace,” he may argue nine months from now, turning a diplomatic stillbirth into a child who did no wrong.

Officials: Indyk to shepherd Mideast peace talks

WASHINGTON (AP) — Secretary of State John Kerry will appoint former U.S. ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk to shepherd Israeli-Palestinian peace talks that are to begin Monday evening in Washington, U.S. officials said Monday.Kerry plans to name Indyk to be his point man for the talks in a State Department announcement Monday, a day after he announced the resumption of the long-stalled negotiations, the officials said. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly before Kerry announcement.Indyk, currently at the Brookings Institution think tank in Washington, served as former President Bill Clinton's ambassador to Israel and was a key part of the failed 2000 Camp David peace talks. He was also a special assistant to Clinton and senior director for Near East and South Asian affairs at the National Security Council from 1993 to 1995. And, he served as Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern affairs in the State Department from 1997 to 2000.Before working in government, Indyk was founding executive director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.Indyk, 62, replaces David Hale, who had served as a place holder in the post until last month. He had replaced former Sen. George Mitchell as the Obama administration's first special Mideast envoy. Mitchell resigned in 2011 following two years of fruitless and frustrating attempts to get the Israelis and Palestinians to engage in serious negotiations.
Indyk's appointment has been carefully choreographed to come just hours before senior Israeli and Palestinian negotiators sit down for a working dinner hosted by Kerry. Kerry spent much of his first six months as America's top diplomat in frenetic diplomacy trying to get the two sides to agree to resume peace talks that broke down in 2008. Since February, he has made six trips to the region shuttling between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to try to cajole them into returning to negotiations.Kerry announced on July 19 in Amman, Jordan, that the two sides had reached a basis for returning to the table, but stressed that it still had to be formalized. On Sunday, the State Department announced that the two sides had accepted invitations from Kerry to come to Washington "to formally resume direct final status negotiations."That followed a decision by Israel's Cabinet to free 104 long-held Palestinian prisoners, a longstanding demand of Abbas.Abbas has been reluctant to negotiate with Netanyahu, fearing the hard-line Israeli leader will reject what the Palestinians consider minimal territorial demands. The Palestinians want a state in the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem, territories Israel captured in 1967, but have accepted the principle of limited land swaps to allow Israel to annex some of the dozens of settlements it has built on war-won lands.Abbas had repeatedly said he will only go to talks if Israel either freezes settlement building or recognizes the 1967 lines as a starting point for drawing the border of a state of Palestine.Israel has made no such concessions, at least publicly, and the details of the framework for the talks brokered by Kerry remain shrouded in mystery.

Activists Protest Release of Terrorist Murderers

Protesters gathered Sunday to show their ire near the Knesset as ministers voted to free terrorist murderers for "peace" talks with the PA.

More than a hundred activists gathered Sunday to show their ire across from government offices near the Knesset as ministers voted to release terrorist prisoners with blood on their hands in order to talk “peace” with the Palestinian Authority.
The protests are continuing, with a new rally scheduled to begin Monday evening led by the founders of the Koby Mandell Foundation -- the parents of Koby Mandell, one of two teenagers murdered by terrorists in cold blood on the outskirts of the Jewish Judean community of Tekoa where he lived in eastern Gush Etzion.
Jeff Daube, chairman of the Israel office of the Zionist Organization of American, told Arutz Sheva at Sunday's demonstration, “We are here demonstrating to let the government know that under no circumstances should we release prisoners that have Jewish blood on their hands.”Another protester, Canadian citizen Chaya Gross, said she was “proud to be a Canadian, as opposed to being an American.” She added that most of the protesters were aware that “Kerry is only bringing a message from Obama – Obama is not good for the Jews.  We know that this deal is a non-starter,” she said. “There’s no reason that we should give up anything for negotiations.”Meir Indor, chairman of the Almagor Terror Victims Organization, expressed the outrage of families who lost loved ones to terror attacks and who now face the prospect of watching their killers walk free.“We want to see the prime minister keep his word, to keep what he promised to us, what he promised to me at a personal meeting, that he’s not going to release terrorists,” Indor told Arutz Sheva. “If he cannot stand up to Kerry’s pressure, there are other people who will do the job,” he said. Indor, a high-ranking retired military officer, declared, “This is a civil fight against terrorism. I am continuing what I did 30 years ago. I  was wounded during a fight against four terrorists, and  I am here to continue the fight against those who want to escape from jail.”Daube observed, “The American government -- I know -- has been putting a tremendous amount of pressure on the Israeli government to release these prisoners as a precondition to negotiations. [But] if these were negotiations with a true peace partner we would not have to release murderers, I’m sorry. “I do believe that this is not a political issue. The reason why we are here is because this is a moral issue. This is also a security issue. With the rate of recidivism at what it is for released terrorists, you can be assured that this is a matter of pikuach nefesh – of endangerment of Jewish life – therefore these prisoners should not be released.  “Suicide is not part of my daily routine,” Daube said simply.

Peres Politely Asks Europe to Step Out of Mideast Affairs

President Peres has politely suggested that the European Union to step out of Middle Eastern affairs while delicate negotiations are in process between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
Peres offered the advice in his remarks at a reception welcoming him to Latvia, organized by Latvian President Andris Berzins. The Israeli president, who is also visiting Lithuania, thanked Latvia for helping to convince the European Union to list the military wing of the Hizbullah terror organization as a terrorist entity. But Peres also criticized the EU for blocking financial aid to Israeli institutions located in Judea, Samaria and areas of Jerusalem restored to the capital following the 1967 Six Day War. Peres noted that such a restriction was harmful to the peace process, and emphasized that such negotiations should be left up to the parties involved, adding that the talks should be allowed to develop at their own pace, without further interference. The best thing that Europeans can do at this point, Israel’s president said, is to exercise restraint, because this is the best way to demonstrate support for the complex talks that comprise the peace process. If fruitful, if he said, they will at last bring an end to the Israel-PA conflict.
