METEOR CLOSE TO EARTH

KING JESUS IS COMING FOR US ANY TIME NOW. THE RAPTURE. BE PREPARED TO GO.

METEORS HIT THE EARTH

REVELATION 6:12-17
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

REVELATION 8:12-13
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

Asteroid 'Nibiru' On Collision Course With Earth, According To NASA Whistleblowers CNN.COM

According to leaks by unnamed NASA employees and scientists, an  asteroid dubbed 'Nibiru' is heading in a direct path towards earth,  with up to 30% chance of collision.

Understandably  NASA is keeping quiet for the moment as to not incite panic, and to get  all the facts before making an official press release. Though some  unconfirmed rumours include the asteroid being the size of texas, and  the estimated date of collision being some time during November-December  2012. NASA has neither confirmed or denied any of these claims.

DAY 11 HURRICANE SANDY UPDATE

KING JESUS IS COMING FOR US ANY TIME NOW. THE RAPTURE. BE PREPARED TO GO.

STORMS HURRICANES-TORNADOES

LUKE 21:25-26
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity;(MASS CONFUSION) the sea and the waves roaring;(FIERCE WINDS)
26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.(FROM QUAKES,NUKES ETC)

THE FIRST JUDGEMENT OF THE EARTH STARTED WITH WATER-IT ONLY MAKES SENSE THE LAST GENERATION WILL BE HAVING FLOODING
GENESIS 7:6-12
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
GOD PROMISED BY A RAINBOW-THE EARTH WOULD NEVER BE DESTROYED TOTALLY WITH A FLOOD AGAIN.BUT FLOODIING IS A SIGN OF JUDGEMENT.

MATTHEW 16:1-4
1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
2  He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
3  And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
4  A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

DAY 11 HURRICANE SANDY UPDATES-HAPPENINGS

ITS 5:10AM THUR NOV 08,12 AND 40,000 HOMES IN NEW JERSEY WENT POWERLESS FROM THIS LATEST SNOW STORM YESTERDAY.AS WELL THERES STILL 80,000 OR SO POWERLESS IN NEW JERSEY FROM SANDY YET.121 ARE DEAD FROM HURRICANE SANDY.

Wintry storm hits Northeast, slowing Sandy recovery

NEW YORK (Reuters) - An unseasonably early-winter storm brought snow, rain and dangerous winds to the U.S. Northeast, plunging many residents of the most populous region of the country back into darkness just as they were recovering from Superstorm Sandy. The storm iced roads and hit transit systems, setting the stage for a difficult Thursday morning commute and bringing fresh misery to those whose lives had been disrupted by the massive storm that smashed ashore on October 29 with historic flooding.Sandy's death toll in the United States and Canada reached 121 after New York authorities on Wednesday reported another death linked to the storm, in the hard-hit coastal neighborhood of Rockaway that bore the brunt of a storm surge.More than 60,000 homes and businesses in a band stretching from the Carolinas to New York lost power, joining the more than 640,000 customers that remained in the dark after one of the biggest and costliest storms ever to hit the United States.Freezing temperatures were a fresh worry for residents left without power. New York distributed space heaters and blankets to residents without heat or power and opened shelters to those in need of a warm place to sleep. After enduring a week without electricity or running water in her Mendham, New Jersey, home, Kimberly Gavagan said she and her family are now staying with friends that have power."The idea of getting several inches of snow on top of this is unbearable," Gavagan said. "We are going to be shoveling snow and going into a cold house."The low-pressure weather system coming from the south brought wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour and dropped what was expect to be 3 inches to 5 inches of snow on New York City, with up to twice that much hitting northern suburbs, the National Weather Service said. But local utilities warned that winds and heavy, wet snow, which threatened to down trees and power lines, had hindered their efforts to restore power."I could see us actually moving backwards, and people who had regained power losing power again," warned New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.U.S. President Barack Obama spoke with the governors of New York and New Jersey by telephone on Wednesday, with the discussions focused on fuel shortages in the storm-hit region and what to do about the thousands whose homes were destroyed, according to a White House official.
EVACUATIONS AND DISRUPTIONS
New York and New Jersey evacuated the most vulnerable coastal areas ahead of the storm, which was forecast to bring a high tide about 2 feet above normal by early Thursday.New York City officials urged residents whose homes have been flooded by Sandy to relocate to the homes of friends or family members or to go to city shelters. But some in the region were unwilling or unable to leave their homes. That included Christine Jones, a 73-year-old resident of coastal Far Rockaway in the borough of Queens who said that she and many of her neighbors planned to stay in their cold, dark apartments."They're scared they're going to be robbed," said Jones, whose evacuation options were limited since her 1999 Buick was flooded by Sandy's storm surge. "The teen-age boys ... they try to break in.Commuter bus and train services had been disrupted by the storm, with the Long Island Rail Road briefly shutting down all operations to the city's eastern suburbs on Wednesday night. All of the region's major airports experienced canceled flights and delays on Wednesday due to the storm, and gasoline remained in short supply, though four companies told the United States they intended to take advantage of a rare waiver allowing them to use foreign-flagged ships to transport oil products to the storm-hit region.Across the region, residents waited for a return of power and warmth.Diane Reinhardt, a 64-year-old retired teacher, said she had traveled from her home in Brooklyn to the south shore of Long Island to check on her 93-year-old mother, whose home has been without power since Sandy hit more than a week ago."They're just at wit's end," Reinhardt said of her mother and brother. "They feel like they're never going to get power back and it's never going to get warm again."(Additional reporting by Lisa Lambert in Washington; Writing by Scott Malone; editing by Philip Barbara)

Sandy might send more than 250,000 cars to scrap heap

(Reuters) - Superstorm Sandy may consign as many as a quarter of a million new and used cars and trucks to the scrap heap, a loss that could eventually lead to a spike in new auto sales, automakers and dealers said.
So far, automakers have reported that some 16,000 brand new vehicles will have to be scrapped due to the killer storm that flooded coastal areas in New Jersey and New York. Many of them were stored at the port of Newark when Sandy hit. That figure may grow once the two biggest automakers by U.S. sales, General Motors Co and Ford Motor Co, announce how many vehicles they lost due to Sandy. By Wednesday, nine days after Sandy made landfall in New Jersey, neither GM nor Ford gave estimates of vehicles that are a total loss.Sandy, one of the largest storms to strike the United States, left more than 8 million homes and businesses in the Northeast without electricity. All but a handful of New Jersey and New York auto dealerships were back in operation by Wednesday, some operating on generator power. At least 121 people were killed in the storm's rampage through the Northeast, including 80 in New York and New Jersey.
Some consumers with damaged vehicles may need to replace them with a new car, which automakers have said will boost sales eventually, said Mark Schienberg, president of the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association. But, Schienberg added, because of the distress caused by Sandy's wrath, "Right now, I don't think car sales are on the top of everybody's mind."Last Thursday, Toyota Motor Corp, No. 3 in U.S. auto sales, said that 30,000 of October industry sales were lost due to less customer traffic or delayed purchases by consumers. Each of the major automakers said they expected those sales to be recovered later in November or in December.Six of the leading eight automakers in terms of U.S. sales said on Wednesday that at least 16,000 new vehicles were damaged, and the lion's share of those will have to be scrapped.
Counting cars in consumer hands increases the total loss estimated to at least 266,000 vehicles."We believe that between 100,000 and 250,000 vehicles currently in operation could be removed from used vehicle supply once all is said and done," said Laurence E. Dixon III, senior analyst with the National Automobile Dealers Association. That compares with the 325,000 cars flooded during Hurricane Katrina, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
AUTOMAKER DEALS ABOUND
All major automakers are offering some form of financial relief, allowing owners to defer payments for up to three months for customers in areas hardest hit until the end of the year.Nissan Motor Co will offer employee pricing and discounted financing for Nissan and Infiniti vehicles in areas hit by Sandy through January 2. Nissan has 225 dealerships in the affected areas.GM, Ford and Chrysler are each offering $500 cash toward the purchase or lease of a new vehicle for those who lost one from the same automaker because of the storm.Hyundai, which lost 400 new vehicles to the storm, will cut the cost of a new replacement vehicle by $750. Toyota also announced on Wednesday that it would delay monthly payments for three months to people in affected areas who need to buy or lease a new vehicle because they lost a Toyota or Lexus in the storm.Honda Motor Co sent out 500,000 emails to its customers in the storm-hit region, and will handle deferred payments and lease extensions on a case-by-case basis, said Chris Martin, company spokesman.
NEW VEHICLES FLOODED
Nissan will have to scrap 6,000 new cars and trucks, the most of any automaker, according to Travis Parman, Nissan spokesman.Toyota is next with at least 4,825 vehicles damaged, most of which will have to be scrapped, said Jana Hartline, Toyota spokeswoman in California.Several carmakers lost vehicles stored at the port of Newark in New Jersey, including Toyota, which had about 4,000 new vehicles stored there.
Green car startup Fisker Automotive said it lost more than $33 million worth of luxury Karma plug-in hybrids, 330 sedans priced at more than $100,000, at Newark.Auto dealers and the automakers in less densely populated areas of the country are able to store cars and trucks on their own lots. But in the New York-New Jersey area, space is at a premium, so a high number of vehicles are stored at the port rather than being shipped to dealerships, Schienberg said.GM lost an undisclosed number of new Chevrolet Spark subcompact sedans that were at the port that had been shipped from South Korea, the company said.
The losses could have been higher, said Jim Cain, a spokesman for GM, who said many dealers moved cars and trucks away from coastal areas ahead of the Sandy's arrival.Jim Appleton, president of the New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers, said auto dealers moved to higher ground when they could, having learned their lessons from Hurricane Irene which struck the state in 2011.(Editing by Mary Milliken and Lisa Shumaker)

In New York's Rockaways, despair sets in as new storm hits

NEW YORK (Reuters) - At nighttime, high up in the apartment buildings that tower over New York's Rockaway Peninsula, it's so inky black inside that residents have to use their hands to feel their way along the concrete walls, inch by inch, to get up and down the stairs, over to their neighbors, or back to their front doors. The windowless passageways feel like a crypt, unnerving even the most hardened of residents.
For more than a week, ever since Superstorm Sandy turned their community into a beachfront dystopia, flattening cars, mangling the boardwalk, twisting their roads, and cutting off their power, these residents have made do. They've walked up stairs, some as many as 13 flights, to the top of housing complexes like the Dayton Towers in Rockaway Park. They've watched their flashlights die, their toilets clog up, and their neighbors kids bawl a lot. They've lived without cellphones, stores, or showers, eating vacuum-packed, government-supplied ready-made meals of rubbery chicken and paste-like potatoes. Now, as another storm began hammering through on Wednesday, dropping temperatures to freezing, they see the new reality getting only grimmer as they shiver in the Stygian dark with no heat."All my neighbors are still living here, old people, too, and it's getting cold," said marble-installer Eddie Romanoff, 33. "But we have nowhere else to go."
Just a week after the worst storm in many years to slam the Eastern Seaboard trashed thousands of houses and left nearly 1 million people without electricity, local and federal government officials have said that tens of thousands of people in New York and New Jersey are likely to need temporary housing. Either their houses have been demolished or they are unfit to live in because of severe damage and the absence of power, heat and water. And now they all need a place to live in a region with some of the lowest apartment vacancy rates, and most expensive hotel and rental rates, in the world.
HOTELS FULL
On Monday, the Federal Emergency Management Agency said it would provide vouchers for people to stay in hotels, paying as much as $295 a night as well as subsidizing longer-term rents. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration has hired a new housing czar, Brad Gair, to help find housing for those displaced.
But Wednesday's storm, named Athena after the Greek goddess, is making it painfully clear that for all the good intentions and multiple press conferences, local and federal government officials haven't kept pace with reality. While the so-called nor'easter isn't anything like as dangerous as Sandy, it will bring very strong winds, heavy rain and flooding to a region that isn't in a position to soak it up without further misery.Up and down the Rockaways peninsula, in communities like Far Rockaway, Belle Harbor and Breezy Point, residents said they had no idea where to go or what to do, or how to stay warm. "This entire community is homeless," said Mary Beth Bevacqua, 40, who was cleaning out her mom's flooded house in Breezy Point on Tuesday as neighbors passed by in waders and wagons. "No one has any place to live."The refrain, in a number of neighborhoods here, was the same: More help is desperately needed. "We've been forgotten," said Mary Anne Semon, 52, as she helped her mother navigate the misshapen street outside her bungalow in Breezy Point. As the latest storm got closer, threatening even longer delays for power restoration due to forecast wind gusts of up to 60 mph, another complicating factor emerged. "It's the high season in New York for hotels," says Herve Houdre, regional director of operations for New York's InterContinental Hotel. "It's already the highest time of demand for the year."Some hotels that accept the FEMA vouchers have long been booked. In Riverhead, Long Island, some guests traveled from as far away as upstate New York to get a room at places like Hotel Indigo and Holiday Inn Express. Both properties are accepting FEMA vouchers. "But we have no rooms," says the director of operations for both properties, Kristen Reyes, who has been getting texts all week from guests begging for rate reductions and time extensions. "We are 100 percent occupied this week and next week."And as far as apartments go, the displaced say they are encountering the harsh realities of scrambling for rentals at a time when all of their neighbors are, too."They're all taken, people were taking those apartments right after the storm, sight unseen," says Ed Power, a 53-year-old retired firefighter from West Islip, a hamlet on Long Island. He doesn't have power. And his father's house in Breezy Point has been knocked off its foundations and turned askew. He says he can bundle up in thermals to handle the cold, but he hasn't been able to find anyplace for his dad to stay. "When you're 93, you're freezing, even in summer."The day after his red-brick Colonial in Belle Harbor got slammed by Sandy, Matthew LaSorsa started looking for a place for himself, his wife and their 14-year-old twins to stay. He even got his employees, at his wine shop, to do a search. But none of them could find his family any place to live. LaSorsa even lost the $4,400 a month two-bedroom in Brooklyn Heights he thought would come through. "The rental apartments don't seem to be available," says LaSorsa. "There's no emergency relief in terms of housing."
SMELL OF GAS
His relatively well-off neighborhood is marked by disintegration and decay. Front lawns are filled with people's moldy belongings. The air smells of gas. Sewage, sand and hills of dirt fill the streets. At night, in the pitch black, LaSorsa says it feels like the science fiction movie "Bladerunner." "It's scary," he says.
Like people up and down the Rockaways, LaSorsa and his wife, Jane, say they registered with FEMA, hoping for help with housing, electricity, gas - anything. But they say they haven't heard a thing. They remarked at the irony: living in a world of information with no information. "We're in the dark with what's going on," says Jane. "We're in an echo chamber, there's no captain here."Three weeks ago, Kelley D'Antonio, a nurse in a neonatal intensive care unit at Maimonides Hospital, bought her first house. The 34-year-old put 40 percent down on a $355,000 bungalow in Breezy Point — two feet away from her parents' house next door. It was the place she had grown up in, remembering evenings when she was carted around in a wagon in her pajamas to eat ice cream and watch fireworks. She knew everybody up and down the sandy lane. Now the houses are twisted around or pushed into the street, have raw sewage coursing through them and red condemnation stickers on their doors. Her own home has lost part of its foundation.
Her housewarming party was supposed to be this weekend. Says her mom, Judy, "We were going to string party lights from our house to hers."(Reporting by Michelle Conlin; Additional Reporting by Jennifer Merritt and Karen Freifeld; Editing by Martin Howell and Steve Orlofsky)

Strong earthquake off Guatemala kills at least 48

SAN MARCOS, Guatemala (Reuters) - A strong earthquake off the coast of Guatemala killed at least 48 people and trapped others under rubble on Wednesday, crushing homes and cars, destroying roads and forcing evacuations as far away as Mexico City. Most of the dead were buried under debris in San Marcos state, a mountainous region near the Mexican border. Landslides triggered by the 7.4-magnitude quake blocked highways and complicated rescue efforts. It was the strongest earthquake to hit the Central American nation since 1976, when a 7.5-magnitude quake killed more than 20,000 people.President Otto Perez, who confirmed the death toll after returning to the capital Guatemala City from a lightning trip to San Marcos, said that as many as 23 people were unaccounted for, while 153 people were being housed in emergency shelters."It's very sad to meet people here who are waiting to find their families who are still buried," Perez said in San Marcos. "It's really a tragedy and we will do all we can to help the families that are suffering."Rescue workers in bright yellow helmets worked through the night pulling bodies from the rubble-strewn streets of San Pedro Sacatepequez, San Marcos, as dazed locals looked on, taking stock of the damage."Thank God we're alive," said resident Arnulfo Portillo. "To be honest, there's quite a few families who have been hit badly, but we're a tight-knight community and we'll come out on top."In San Cristobal Cucho, also in San Marcos, all but one of an 11-member family died, buried under rubble, volunteer fireman Ovidio Fuentes told local radio. Only the 17-year-old son survived.Local Red Cross chief Carlos Enrique Alvarado said 75 homes were destroyed in the city of San Marcos alone and authorities said damage to the prison forced them to transfer 101 inmates to another jail.Perez, who announced three days of mourning, said Spain and Venezuela had offered help. Authorities distributed 16,000 emergency rations and mobilized more than 2,000 soldiers to help with the rescue effort. The energy ministry said 73,000 people were left without electricity. In Guatemala City, 100 miles from the quake's epicenter, the streets filled with office workers forced to evacuate buildings, although most soon returned to work."It was really big. I felt quite nauseous," said Vanessa Castillo, 32, a secretary who was evacuated from her 10th floor office in the capital.
Building janitor Jorge Gamboa said: "I was in the bathroom. When I came out the office was empty and I thought, what's happening? They didn't even say goodbye."The epicenter was 26 miles below the surface, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was felt in El Salvador and more than 760 miles away in Mexico City, where some people also fled offices and homes. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said a small tsunami was registered on Guatemala's coast, although there were no reports that it caused any damage.(Reporting by Jorge Dan and Milton Castillo in San Marcos, Mike McDonald in Guatemala City; Writing by Krista Hughes; Editing by Kieran Murray, Paul Simao and Lisa Shumaker)

Guatemalans huddle in streets after deadly quake

SAN MARCOS, Guatemala (AP) — Guatemalans fearing aftershocks huddled in the dark and frigid streets of this mountain town wrapped in blankets early Thursday, while others crowded inside its hospital, the only building left with electricity after a powerful earthquake killed at least 48 people and left dozens more missing.Crews worked through the night in San Marcos, searching rubble for survivors and more dead following the magnitude 7.4 quake that struck Wednesday near Guatemala's border with Mexico. In the town of San Cristobal Cochu, firefighters picked at a collapsed house trying to dig out 10 members of one family, including a 4-year-old child, who were buried, fire department spokesman Ovidio Perez told the radio station Emisoras Unidas.Volunteers carrying boxes of medical supplies began arriving in the area in western Guatemalan late Wednesday.Eblin Cifuentes, a 26-year-old law student, and a group of his classmates already were collecting medical supplies as part of a school drive to provide aid for the only hospital in San Marcos, a poor, mainly indigenous mountain area of subsistence farms. When the quake hit, the group decided to bring everything they had collected."Thank God nothing happened to us and that's why we have to help out," Cifuentes said. The quake caused terror over an unusually wide area, with damage reported in all but one of Guatemala's 22 states and shaking felt as far away as Mexico City, 600 miles (965 kilometers) to the northwest. It hit hardest in San Marcos, where more than 30 homes collapsed and many of the colorful adobe buildings in its center were either cracked or reduced to rubble, including the police station and the courthouse. The temblor tore a large gash in one of the streets. Hundreds of frightened townspeople stayed in the open, refusing to go back inside after more than five strong aftershocks shook the area.President Otto Perez Molina said that 40 people died in the state of San Marcos and eight more were killed in the neighboring state of Quetzaltenango.Hundreds of people crammed into the hallways of San Marcos' small hospital after the quake seeking help for injured family members. Some complained they were not getting care quickly enough.Ingrid Lopez, who bought in a 72-year-old aunt whose legs were crushed by a falling wall, said she had waited hours for an X-ray."We ask the president to improve conditions at the hospital," she said. "There isn't enough staff."More than 300 firefighters, policemen and civilians dug desperately at a half-ton mound of sand at a quarry trying to rescue seven people believed buried alive. Among those under the sand was a 6-year-old boy who had accompanied his grandfather to work."I want to see Giovanni! I want to see Giovanni!" the boy's mother, 42-year-old Francisca Ramirez, frantically cried. "He's not dead. Get him out."By Wednesday night, firefighters had dug out two bodies from the quarry, including Giovanni's.
Perez flew to San Marcos to view the damage in this lush mountainous region of 50,000 indigenous farmers and ranchers, many belonging to the Mam ethnic group."One thing is to hear about what happened and another thing entirely is to see it," the president told The Associated Press. "As a Guatemalan I feel sad ... to see mothers crying for their lost children."Perez said the government would pay for the funerals of all victims in the impoverished region.Efrain Ramos helped load a tiny casket carrying the body of his 6-year-old niece from San Marcos' morgue to a waiting pickup truck."The little girl died when a wall fell over her," a shocked Ramos told a reporter. He said the girl was playing in her room when the quake hit.Sobbing uncontrollably, the girl's mother hugged the coffin wrapped with white lace and tulle.Ramos said the family would escort his niece Rosa's body back home for a viewing. The quake, which was 20 miles deep, was centered 15 miles off the coastal town of Champerico and 100 miles southwest of Guatemala City. It was the strongest earthquake to hit Guatemala since a 1976 temblor that killed 23,000.Officials said most of 100 missing were from San Marcos, where people farm corn and herd cattle, mostly for their own survival.Hospital officials in San Marcos said they had received 150 injured.Perez said more than 2,000 soldiers were deployed to help with the disaster. A plane had made at least two trips to carry relief teams to the area.___Associated Press writer Sonia Perez-Diaz reported this story in San Marcos and Romina Ruiz-Goiriena reported from Guatemala City.

Marijuana legalization victories could be short-lived

(Reuters) - Votes making Colorado and Washington the first U.S. states to legalize marijuana for recreational use could be short-lived victories for pot backers because the federal government will fight them, two former U.S. drug control officials said on Wednesday. They said the federal government could sue to block parts of the measures or send threatening letters to marijuana shops, followed up by street-level clampdowns similar to those targeting medical marijuana dispensaries the government suspects are fronts for drug traffickers.
"This is a symbolic victory for (legalization) advocates, but it will be short-lived," Kevin Sabet, a former adviser to the Obama administration's drug czar, told reporters."They are facing an uphill battle with implementing this, in the face of ... presidential opposition and in the face of federal enforcement opposition," Sabet said.Colorado and Washington state legalized the possession and sale of marijuana for adult recreational use on Tuesday through ballot measures in defiance of federal law, while a similar initiative was defeated at the polls in Oregon. The initiatives appeared to reflect growing national support for liberalized marijuana laws, as indicated by a Gallup poll last year that found 50 percent of Americans favored making it legal, versus 46 percent opposed. The U.S. Department of Justice, which considers marijuana an illegal drug liable to being abused, said enforcement of the federal Controlled Substances Act "remains unchanged."
"We are reviewing the ballot initiatives and have no additional comment at this time," a government statement said.Sabet said he expected the Obama administration would at some point file a federal lawsuit to challenge and seek to block aspects of state-level legalization measures and that this "is going to be caught up in the courts for quite a while."
HARD TO ROLL BACK CLOCK
But federal action was not expected to snuff out state-sanctioned marijuana in those states - especially the ability of individuals to possess an ounce or less of the drug without risk of arrest by local police.
Sabet, who opposes legalization, acknowledged that states were free to eliminate their own penalties for possession. But he said U.S. Attorneys could send letters to Colorado and Washington governors warning them not to implement provisions to regulate and tax marijuana at special stores.Or the federal government could wait until such a system is created and sue to block it, he said.Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, a Democrat, had said he personally opposed his state's legalization measure. But he has since said he plans to respect the will of voters. In Washington state, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jay Inslee, who was leading in the vote count in a tight race, has spoken out against his state's initiative but is committed to implementing it, campaign spokeswoman Jaime Smith said.If the Obama administration reacts too harshly, it could suffer politically with younger, more left-leaning voters who chose legalization and typically lean Democratic. But President Barack Obama also faces pressure from anti-drug groups to protect young people from harm they say would result if states set up a regulated and taxed marijuana trade.Robert DuPont, who served as drug czar for former Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford and opposes legalization, said he welcomed a confrontation."I think it's time to resolve it," he said.Ian Millhiser, senior constitutional policy analyst with the left-leaning Center for American Progress, said the federal government, even if it sues to challenge the Colorado and Washington initiatives, cannot force police in those states to arrest people for marijuana infractions."If I were Barack Obama, I would look at this and say I would rather have young voters with me," Millhiser said.(Additional reporting by Jonathan Kaminsky in Olympia; Editing by Cynthia Johnston and Jim Loney)

Canada has options if U.S. fails to avert 'fiscal cliff'

OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canada will fall into recession if Washington does not reach a deal by year-end to avert the so-called fiscal cliff, but the Canadian government and central bank could provide extra stimulus if necessary, policymakers said on Wednesday.Unless the White House and Congress agree on how to cut the U.S. budget deficit, a $600 billion package of tax increases and spending cuts kicks in automatically at the end of 2012 and would threaten U.S. economic growth."Were the entire fiscal cliff risk to become reality, the effect on U.S. GDP, according to the Americans themselves, would be 4 to 5 percent, which would put the U.S. economy into recession quite quickly and the Canadian would follow shortly thereafter," Finance Minister Jim Flaherty told reporters in Ottawa.Flaherty later told a parliamentary committee that the Conservative government would inject money into the economy as it did during the 2008-09 downturn.
"We will take steps to stimulate the economy," Flaherty told lawmakers. "We're not going to stand by and have the Canadian economy slip deeply into recession.Canada's economy recovered from the global recession faster than that of the United States, but it remains heavily reliant on trade with its neighbor, which buys three-quarters of its exports.Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney said policymakers would have several options to protect Canada from fiscal calamity south of the border."We can provide stimulus on the monetary side, the government could take measures, other things could happen, but we don't need to do that in anticipation of the Americans not coming to an agreement, an agreement that is in their own interest," Carney told the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in an interview.Carney said President Barack Obama has a "strong mandate" to engage his opponents on the fiscal cliff issue, helped by the Democrats holding onto a majority in the Senate. The central bank's forecast of 2.3 percent economic growth in the United States next year assumes a drag of 1.5 percentage points from fiscal tightening on the expectation some kind of bipartisan deal is struck. But Carney said that prediction was highly uncertain. As he headed into a November 4-5 G20 meeting in Mexico City on Monday, Flaherty warned for the first time about a potential recession. He also said he was confident that whoever won Tuesday's presidential election would succeed in brokering a deal with Congress, but not without some brinkmanship."They may not deal with it until the 11th hour and the 55th minute, but I expect that they'll do it just as they dealt with their banks in 2008," he told reporters.(Reporting by Louise Egan; Editing by Janet Guttsman and Eric Walsh)

EU to be federalised in the long run, Merkel says

07.11.12 @ 20:55 By Valentina Pop
BRUSSELS and Berlin - The EU commission will eventually become a government, the council of member states an "upper chamber" and the European Parliament more powerful, but fixing the eurozone problems is more urgent for now, German Chancellor Angela Merkel told MEPs on Wednesday (7 November).
Back in the European Parliament for the first tim since she chaired the rotating EU presidency in 2007, Merkel laid out her vision for Europe, which Germany feels "deeply committed to" ever since its re-unification 22 years ago."Indeed we must find a right way to stabilise eurozone permanently and eliminate its conception errors. We must be courageous and not shy away from treaty change if needed," she said.
To bring about a "true" economic union underpinning the common currency, there was need for more "binding" commitments from member states to make reforms. The EU institutions meanwhile should be given an even stronger role to "genuinely correct any inadequate procedures."Wage-setting and taxes - the core powers of a nation state - had to be rather "coordinated" and "obviously carefully observing national democratic procedures."Responding to calls by Liberal leader Guy Verhofstadt to urgently set up a federal European "state", Merkel pointed out that an attempt in that direction failed when French and Dutch voters rejected the European Constitution, in 2005."Of course the European Commission will one day become a government, the EU council a second chamber and the European Parliament will have more powers. But for now, we have to focus on the euro and give people a little bit of time to come along," she said. She suggested that the idea of a special budget for eurozone members would help countries with high youth unemployment, such as Spain, to fund training. "Not all 27 countries in the EU will want to spend money on that, but it could be done at eurozone level," she said.As for the dividing lines between euro-members and non-euro states, Merkel went back to the initial idea of the common currency: that it will be one day adopted by all EU countries.

Budget compromise

Heading to London on Tuesday evening for a dinner with British Prime Minister David Cameron, Merkel stressed the need for a deal on the EU 2014-2020 budget during a summit later this month. Cameron has threatened to veto any deal that would not fall in line with his Parliament's demands for a cut in the €1 trillion budget. She was also clear on the importance of Britain staying the in the EU with increasing talk of it slowly detaching itself from the union."I want a strong UK within the EU. The UK was with us when we were liberated from National Socialism, I cannot imagine the UK not being part of Europe," Merkel said.
A German source told this website that Merkel is willing to "go all the way" to secure a deal at the summit starting on 22 November. "She has the stamina to do it," the source said, noting that the chancellor has cancelled all meetings for that weekend.

Greece passes austerity bill despite clashes

Today @ 09:29 NOV 8,12 By Valentina Pop
BERLIN - The Greek Parliament early Thursday (8 November) narrowly adopted an austerity package needed to unlock the next bailout tranche, despite a general strike and violent clashes with riot police.
On the eve of the vote, over 100,000 people took to the streets in the Greek capital, with Syntagma square again the scene of violent clashes with riot police.Inside the Parliament, the mood was also fraught. At one point, finance minister Yannis Stournaras had to promise not to cut Parliament's staff wages as they threatened to leave the building and boycott the session. The €13.5 billion worth of spending cuts and labour market reforms for the next two years are a precondition for Greece to receive the next tranche of bailout money, delayed since June.During the debate, Prime Minister Antonis Samaras acknowledged that some of the pension and wage cuts were "unfair" and there was "no point in dressing this up as something else." But without them, Greece would face bankruptcy and "catastrophe" by mid-November, he said. The bill was passed with 153 out of the parliament's 300 votes. Several coalition MPs abstained or voted against it. Seven of them were promptly expelled from their parties after voting no.The thin majority will face another test on Sunday, when the amended 2013 budget has to be passed. This is also a precondition for the €31.5 billion tranche, which could be then approved by eurozone finance ministers meeting on Monday. But in the German Parliament, which still has to approve every bailout tranche to Greece, there is scepticism that the disbursement could be made so quickly. "The troika report is not out yet, so we could not give a mandate to our finance minister to approve the bailout tranche on Monday," a parliamentary source told this website.
The troika - comprising the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund - is still holding back on its report pending the votes in Greece. The three institutions also disagree on how to keep Greece within the bailout's deficit and debt projections which are worsening due to delays, recession and mass unemployment. The IMF is pressing for its EU partners to accept losses on their Greek bonds, but the ECB is against this as it would run counter to its ban on direct help to governments. Eurozone governments, meanwhile, do not want to give more money to Greece, already subject to two bailouts. One idea is to front-load all the bailout money available this year and in 2013, and then return to a decision in the autumn of next year, after German general elections take place.

EZEKIEL 5:17
17  So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.

EZEKIEL 38:1-12
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog,(RULER) the land of Magog,(RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW)and Tubal,(TOBOLSK) and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog,(LEADER OF RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW) and Tubal:TOBOLSK)
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws,(GOD FORCES THE RUSSIA-MUSLIMS TO MARCH) and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

6 Gomer,(GERMANY) and all his bands; the house of Togarmah (TURKEY)of the north quarters, and all his bands:(SUDAN,AFRICA) and many people with thee.
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.(RUSSIA-EGYPT AND MUSLIMS)
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

EZEKIEL 39:1-8,11-18

5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog,(NUCLEAR BOMB) and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog (RUSSIA/ARAB/MUSLIMS) a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers (EAST OF THE DEAD SEA IN JORDAN VALLEY) on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog (RUSSIAN) and all his multitude:(ARAB/MUSLIM HORDE) and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.(BURIEL SITE OF THE 300 MILLION,RUSSIAN/ARAB/MUSLIMS)

14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment,(NUCLEAR BOMB EXPERTS) passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.
15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it,(WON'T TOUCH IT) till the buriers have buried it (PROPERLY) in the valley of Hamongog.(RUSSIA/ARAB/MUSLIMS NEW BURIEL SITE)

Russia hopes for US flexibility on missile shield

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia expects President Barack Obama to show more flexibility in a dispute over U.S. missile defense plans following his re-election, the country's deputy prime minister said Thursday.
The controversy over the planned missile shield has strained the relations between the U.S. and Russia. Moscow has rejected Washington's assurances that the shield is intended to fend off potential missile threats from Iran and voiced concern the system could threaten Russia's nuclear deterrent. In March, Obama, unaware that he was speaking on an open microphone, told Dmitry Medvedev, then Russian president, that he would have more flexibility on the issue after November's election.Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin appeared to try to remind Obama of his promise when he said Thursday that Moscow hopes that the U.S. president will take into account Russia's concerns about the U.S.-led NATO missile defense for Europe.
"We hope that President Obama after his re-election will be more flexible on the issue of taking into the account the opinions of Russia and others regarding a future configuration of NATO's missile defense," Rogozin told an international conference in Moscow.Russia has urged the U.S. to provide guarantees that any future shield is not aimed against it and threatened to target elements of the U.S. shield with missiles if no agreement is reached.Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Thursday the U.S. promises to inform Moscow about details of the shield weren't enough, adding that Moscow will continue pushing for firm guarantees from Washington.

Arab media are reporting that rebel forces have shelled the palace of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus. The military airport and intelligence headquarters in the capital allegedly were also bombed, according to the pan-Arab Al Arabiya television news network. The unconfirmed report came following an intense round of overnight mortar bombing in the pro-Assad Alawite enclave, Mezze 86, close to the palace. However, it is difficult to verify such reports due to the government restrictions imposed on journalists entering the country, and no further details were available.Numerous embassies are located in the district, as well as the offices of Syria's intelligence service and other government offices. Three civilians were killed and 12 others were wounded in the shelling, Al Arabiya reported. It also follows a statement British Prime Minister David Cameron made Tuesday, telling the Arab news channel he would support Assad's escape from Syria in response to a question about what he would say if Assad asked for safe exit:“Done. Anything, anything to get that man out of the country and to have a safe transition in Syria... Of course, I would favor him facing the full force of international law and justice for what he's done,” he added. “I am certainly not offering him an exit plan to Britain, but if he wants to leave, he could leave, that could be arranged,” Cameron said.At least 49 people had died across the country by midday Wednesday, according to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Fighting continued to rage in and around the capital, Damascus, as well in the northern commercial hub of Aleppo, near the Wadi Daif military base in the northwestern region, and elsewhere. On Tuesday, at least 19 people were killed and more than 50 others were wounded in bombing attacks on Damascus suburbs, including three explosions in the western Qudsaya area, the Observatory reported.Bomb explosions killed at least 15 and wounded dozens more in the Damascus district of Hai al-Wuroud, populated mostly by members of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's Alawite sect, opposition activists said. Syrian state media confirmed that an explosion hit the district, located in the northwest of the capital, but said only the blasts caused an unspecified number of deaths and injuries.
It also appears that Palestinian Authority Arabs have become caught in the crossfire between the Syrian government and opposition forces. The AFP news agency reported Wednesday that the 148,000-strong Yarmouk refugee camp was shelled by rebel fighters battling Palestinian Authority Arab members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command terrorist organization (PFLP-GC) fighting alongside Syrian Army regulars. Ironically, it was reported earlier this week that the Syrian government closed down the Damascus offices of politburo chief Khaled Mashaal, who represents the PA's Gaza-based Hamas terrorist organization.More than 36,000 Syrians have died since the civil war broke out in March 2011, according to the Observatory, initially as a protest ignited by the region-wide Arab Spring uprisings.

Turkey to ask NATO for Patriot missiles: report

ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkey will imminently lodge an official request with NATO asking the military alliance to deploy Patriot missiles along its border with Syria to guard against violence spilling over, a senior Turkish foreign ministry official said on Wednesday. If approved, the deployment would represent a further deterioration in relations between Turkey and Syria - once close allies - and see more military hardware poured into a region where tensions are already high.Britain also appeared to harden its stance on Syria on Wednesday when Foreign Secretary William Hague said he had ordered UK diplomats to talk directly to Syrian rebels. Britain's previous stance had been to engage only with political representatives of the opposition.Syria's war, in which the opposition estimates 38,000 people have been killed, raises the specter of wider Middle East turbulence and poses one of the greatest foreign policy challenges for U.S. President Barack Obama as he starts his second term.Analysts said Obama had been unable to make bold moves on Syria during the election period because of the risk that doing so would hurt his popularity. Britain and Turkey have joined U.S. calls for President Bashar al-Assad to step down.Syrian rebels fired mortars at Assad's palace in Damascus on Wednesday but missed, an attack underlining the growing boldness of those fighting to end his family's 42-year rule and the rebel strategy of launching high-profile attacks against symbols of his rule.A July bomb that killed four of Assad's top lieutenants was swiftly followed up with an advance into Damascus by rebels but they were then partially beaten back by Assad's forces.Damascus residents told Reuters heavy-caliber shells apparently aimed at the palace had hit the nearby residential Mezze 86 district that is home to members of Assad's Alawite sect. State-run media said at least three people had been killed and seven wounded in what it described as a terrorist attack. The violence has highlighted the sectarian dimension of a civil war that is deepening the rift between Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims in the region - Assad's Alawite sect is an offshoot of Shi'ite Islam.Allegations of Syrian soldiers looting foreign aid surfaced on Wednesday after a medical aid group said troops had been seizing the supplies and reselling them or channeling them towards government loyalists, putting millions of lives at risk."When the regime attacks one of our medical facilities, whether it's a hospital or something else, they load up everything they can carry, and they burn the rest," said Tawfik Chamaa, a Geneva-based doctor and spokesman for the Union of Syrian Medical Relief Organizations (UOSSM).
DIRECT CONTACT WITH REBELS
"(The armed opposition) are playing an increasingly influential role within Syria as the conflict worsens," Hague said in a statement."I have therefore now authorized my officials to have direct contact with an even wider range of representatives including military figures in the armed opposition."He said Britain would continue to only supply non-lethal support to the unarmed opposition, in compliance with a European Union arms embargo and British export licensing laws.British officials would stress the importance of human rights and the rejection of "extremism and terrorism", and contact with the rebels would be limited to political dialogue, he said.On a visit to a Jordanian refugee camp, British Prime Minister David Cameron said that efforts to halt the bloodshed so far had been fruitless."I am standing with the Syrian border just behind me and every night 500 refugees are fleeing the most appalling persecution and bloodshed to come to safety and frankly what we have done so far is not working," he said in Zaatari, a camp housing about 30,000 Syrian refugees in northern Jordan.International and regional rivalries have complicated efforts to mediate a resolution to the conflict - Russia and China have vetoed three U.N. Security Council resolutions that would have put Assad under pressure. The conflict has also started to suck in neighboring countries. Turkey has been responding in kind to mortar shells hitting its territory as a result of fighting between Syrian rebels and Syrian government forces.A senior Turkish foreign ministry official told Reuters on Wednesday that the government would make an "imminent" request to NATO to protect its 910-km (560-mile) border with Syria with Patriot surface-to-air missiles. The official said there was a potential missile threat to Turkey from Syria and Turkey had a right to take steps to counter such a threat. He gave no further details. The United States and other Western powers say a resolution to the conflict has also been frustrated by divisions and in-fighting between Syrian opposition groups.Syrian opposition groups will meet on Thursday to form a new 50-member civilian group that will later choose a temporary government for Syria and coordinate with the revolt's military wing.
PALESTINIAN INFIGHTING
Highlighting how Palestinian refugees have been drawn into the conflict, rebels killed 10 members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC), which is loyal to Assad, in fighting near the Palestinian camp of Yarmouk in Damascus, opposition sources said.Syrian rebels and pro-opposition Palestinians announced the formation of a new brigade last week to battle the PFLP-GC.
The Syrian foreign ministry said Syria would stand "with full determination against any attempt to drag the Palestinians into what is happening in Syria", the state news agency SANA reported, quoting a ministry official.Air strikes and artillery barrages unleashed by the Syrian military in the last few weeks have wrecked whole districts of the capital, as well as parts of towns and cities elsewhere.Yet, for all their firepower, Assad's forces seem no closer to crushing their lightly armed opponents, who in turn have so far proved unable to topple the Syrian leader. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based opposition watchdog, says it had the names of at least 38,000 people confirmed dead by friends and family. The death toll is going up every day, with a thousand or more killed in some weeks.(Writing by Oliver Holmes; Additional reporting by Tom Miles in Geneva, Gulsen Solaker in Ankara and Adrian Croft in Brussels; Editing by Pravin Char and Andrew Osborn)

Report: Fighting erupts in northeast Syria

ISTANBUL (AP) — Syrian regime forces on Thursday battled opposition rebels trying to take control of a region in the far northeastern corner of the country, sending refugees fleeing across the Turkish border, Turkey's state-run agency reported.Turkish authorities meanwhile, inspected the cargo of a Syria-bound plane from Armenia to make sure it was not carrying military equipment. The clashes broke out in the Rasulayn region of al-Hasakah province, a few hundred meters (yards) from the Turkish border town of Ceylanpinar, the Anadolu Agency said.Several Syrians fled to Ceylanpinar seeking refuge from the fighting and at least eight wounded people were being treated in Turkish hospitals.Schools in Ceylanpinar were closed for the day as the military increased security measures. Residents were being warned to stay away from the border.Dogan news agency video showed people running for shelter in panic as a piece of shrapnel from the fighting reportedly landed on the grounds of the hospital in Ceylanpinar.Elsewhere in Turkey, a Syria-bound Armenian plane landed in the city of Erzurum to allow Turkish authorities to search its cargo.
Last month, another plane from Armenia landed in Turkey under an agreement with Turkish authorities, who later said the cargo consisted of aid and could continue on to Syria. Turkey also forced a Syrian passenger plane traveling from Moscow to Damascus to land in Ankara on suspicion that equipment it was carrying was military gear. Russia, a backer of Syrian President Bashar Assad, said the equipment consisted of spare parts for radar systems. The civil war in Syria has killed more than 36,000 people since an uprising against the Syrian regime began in March 2011. More than 111,000 Syrians are being sheltered in refugee camps in Turkey.

Iran to hold air defense drill in country's east

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran's official news agency says the country's military will hold "massive" air defense maneuvers in the east, starting this weekend.Gen. Farzad Esmaili, head of Iran's air defense headquarters, says the drill will include Iranian jet fighters, drones, air defense systems and about 8,000 troops.Esmaili is quoted by the official IRNA news agency on Thursday as saying that the area of the war games will cover nearly the entire eastern half of Iran. The exercise is to start on Saturday and last seven days. The maneuvers come amid escalating tensions between Iran and the West over Tehran's suspect nuclear program, which the West fears is a cover for a pursuit of nuclear weapons. Iran denies the charge, saying the program is for peaceful purposes only.

"Wear Red!” the Eshkol Regional Council urged today (Thursday). “Show your solidarity with the residents of the south.”In a campaign posted by MivzakLive Color Red on the Facebook social networking site, southern Israeli residents called on their fellow citizens to join them in a protest against the constant rocket attacks from Gaza.

The rally is set for 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Sharona Park in Tel Aviv, across from the IDF's Kirya central military base.
Residents of the Gaza Belt communities, including those in the Eshkol Regional Council district and others nearby, are planning to deliver one united message, they said: "We are not willing to accept this kind of life. Even one Qassam rocket is one too many. The government of Israel must bring quiet to the area.”
According to a report released Sunday by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), terror attacks were significantly more frequent in October than in September. There were a total of 166 attacks during the month, compared to 91 the month before. The increase was due to rocket and mortar attacks from Gaza. Terrorists fired a total of 116 rockets at Israel during October. Gaza terrorists attacked Israel with their 611th rocket this year on Sunday, and media continue to ignore the missile strikes – so long as there are no injuries or damage. The rocket attack on Sunday struck in the early morning in the Western Negev and caused no physical damage or damage. However, the daily trauma of children having to run for shelters, often in the middle of the night or while at nursery and other schools, is rarely reported. With the exception of Arutz Sheva, most media outlets usually tell their readers of attacks only when there serious injuries, or death.Organizers of the Color Red demonstration said the rally is expected to attract hundreds from around the country to protest the attacks in solidarity with their brethren who are living under the threat of daily rocket fire from Gaza terrorists.
