SYRIA RECOGNIZES PALESTINIAN STATE

LAND FOR PEACE (THE FUTURE 7 YEARS OF HELL ON EARTH)

JOEL 3:2
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

THE WEEK OF DANIEL 9:27 WE KNOW ITS 7 YRS

Heres the scripture 1 week = 7 yrs Genesis 29:27-29
27 Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.
28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
29 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.

DANIEL 11:21-23
21 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
23 And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.
24 He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.

DANIEL 9:26-27
26 And after threescore and two weeks(62X7=434 YEARS+7X7=49 YEARS=TOTAL OF 69 WEEKS OR 483 YRS) shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;(ROMAN LEADERS DESTROYED THE 2ND TEMPLE) and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.(THERE HAS TO BE 70 WEEKS OR 490 YRS TO FUFILL THE VISION AND PROPHECY OF DAN 9:24).(THE NEXT VERSE IS THAT 7 YR WEEK OR (70TH FINAL WEEK).
27 And he( THE ROMAN,EU PRESIDENT) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:(1X7=7 YEARS) and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,(3 1/2 yrs in TEMPLE SACRIFICES STOPPED) and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

JEREMIAH 6:14
14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

JEREMIAH 8:11
11 For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

1 THESSALONIANS 5:3
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

ISAIAH 28:14-19 (THIS IS THE 7 YR TREATY COVENANT OF DANIEL 9:27)
14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

Abbas ready to bypass opposition to Palestinian declaration AFPAFP – JULY 18,11

Palestinians' plan to seek UN membership for a state on the lines that existed before the 1967 Six Day War is opposed by among others Israel and the United States. It risks being blocked by a US veto at the UN Security Council.Until now we are waiting for the final answer of the US. We heard that they will take a veto but until now we didn't know whether it is official or not, Abbas said on a visit to Oslo, home of the 1993 Israeli-Palestinian peace accords. Our goal is to go to the Security Council. If we fail we will go to the General Assembly,he said.Just like South Sudan, admitted to the UN on July 12, Palestinians will need a recommendation from the Security Council for an admission vote at the General Assembly to take place, assembly spokesman Joseph Deiss said last week.If their bid to obtain full-fledged UN membership status is blocked by the Security Council, Palestinians could in turn to the General Assembly to obtain a statehood-level status such as observer state, a Norwegian diplomat said Monday.

Palestinians have pledged to seek UN recognition of their independent state within the 1967 borders and with east Jerusalem as its capital in a move widely expected to take place in September.Israel is fiercely opposed to such a move, arguing that negotiations are the only way to end the conflict and establish a Palestinian state.
Norway said the Palestinians' move was a perfect legitimate right. It is multilateralism, Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere said.It is taking an issue to the family of nations which I think is the right of Palestinian people.Norway will however not take a stand on the recognition of a Palestinian state until reading the text put forth by Abbas, Stoere said. The two countries signed an agreement on raising the Palestinian Authority's representative in Norway to the rank of ambassador, in line with a decision taken in December.

JAMES 5:1-3
1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

REVELATION 18:10,17,19
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

EZEKIEL 7:19
19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

REVELATION 13:16-18
16 And he(FALSE POPE) causeth all,(WORLD SOCIALISM) both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:(CHIP IMPLANT)
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.(6-6-6) A NUMBER SYSTEM

Divisions remain ahead of EU debt summit
HONOR MAHONY 18.07.2011 @ 09:14 CET

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Uncertainty over whether the EU will be able to agree the terms of a second bailout for Greece in the coming days rose over the weekend as fundamental differences between key players were highlighted once more.In an interview published Monday (18 July) with the Financial Times Deutschland, European Central Bank chief Jean-Claude Trichet said that he would not accept defaulted Greek bonds as collateral and that governments would have to step in and take measures if Greek government debt were given a default rating. If a country defaults, we will no longer be able to accept its defaulted government bonds as normal eligible collateral, he said. The governments would then have to step in themselves to put things right ... the governments would have to take care the Eurosystem is presented with collateral that it could accept. It is unacceptable to us to jeopardise our role as an anchor for stability and trust in the eurozone and Europe. His comments, coming just ahead of an emergency EU summit on Thursday (21 July), put him in stark opposition to Berlin which has been insisting that in order for Greece to get a second bailout, expected to be around €115 billion, the private sector has to be involved.Chancellor Angela Merkel repeated her views in an interview with ARD television on Sunday. The more we get private investors voluntarily involved now, the less likely we will have to take further steps, she said adding she would only go to the summit if there's an outcome.

Ratings agencies have repeatedly warned that current plans to involve the private sector, which include obliging bondholders to stay exposed to Greek debt, would be regarded as a selective default.EU leaders on Thursday are also expected to have difficulty agreeing on how to make the European Financial Stability Facility more flexible. An option mooted by some is that it issues eurobonds guaranteed by eurozone states. But others say this would essentially mean the beginning of a transfer union, something opposed by Germany.Jens Weidmann, head of Germany's central bank, criticised the idea strongly in an interview Sunday with mass-selling newspaper Bild.
Nothing would destroy more quickly and in a more lasting fashion incentives for a solid budget policy that joint guarantees for sovereign debt,he said. The result would be European taxpayers, and first and foremost German ones, vouching for Greece's entire national debt. It would be a step towards a transfer union, something which Germany has correctly opposed thus far.Greece received a €110 billion loan last year but it became clear earlier this year that the debt-ridden state would need a fresh loan in order to meet repayment obligations further down the line. Since then, governments have been divided over a German-led push to involve the private sector.EU finance ministers at a meeting earlier this month agreed Greece would be helped but the lack of details spooked markets prompting fears that the eurozone crisis could also engulf Italy and Spain. This week's summit is intended to draw a line under these fears. Our agenda will be the financial stability of the Euro area as a whole and the future financing of the Greek programme, said EU council president Herman Van Rompuy, who called the meeting.According to Trichet, despite the talk of eurozone crisis, a solution will be found.Of course the Europeans can master this situation, he told FTD. This is not about technical issues, but about will and determination.

German role model prize withdrawn from Putin
VALENTINA POP 18.07.2011 @ 09:14 CET

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Organisers of a German award for role models for enlightenment, dedication and public good on Saturday (16 July) decided to revoke the prize from Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, after a whirlwind of criticism from rights groups and European luminaries.Citing massive criticism in the media and the political world, the organisation Werkstatt Deutschland said it had to revoke its decision to grant Putin the Quadriga Award. No awards will be given in 2011 and the panel said they would see how it continues next year. The Quadriga, named after the statue on top of Berlin's Brandenberg Gate, is awarded annually on the anniversary of German re-unification and is dedicated to all those whose courage tears down walls and whose commitment builds bridges. The decision to award the former KGB officer, renowned for his strong-handed politics and scant regard for human rights, was initially nominated for progress he had achieved in improving bilateral relations with Berlin. But even board members of the organisation were not comfortable with the move. German Green leader Cem Ozdemir quit the organisation's board, noting that the Russian leader does not belong to the ranks of democracy fighters.Last year's winner, Danish artist Olafur Eliasson, immediately returned his award and former Czech President Vaclav Havel, also a Quadriga-prize winner, threatened to do the same.During his tenure as head of state and prime minister, Putin has dismantled democracy, restricted freedom, undermined the rule of law and given Russia corruption,German human rights commissioner Markus Loening told Der Spiegel magazine.

He said it would have been downright cynical for Putin to be put in the same group with pro-democracy fighters like Havel.Following the announcement on Saturday, a spokeswoman for the very ill Havel said he thought the panel were very wise to reconsider their choice. The award should be given to people who devoted their lives to protection of human rights and freedoms and promoting democracy, she said, naming Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo, Russian rights campaigner Sergei Kovalov and Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya, who was shot dead in 2006.A spokesman for Putin said that the row over the prize had nothing to do with German-Russian relations and that Russia respected any decision taken with regard to the award. The cancellation comes ahead of two days of German-Russian talks starting in Hanover on Monday and which will include a meeting between chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. Putin, with whom Merkel has a cooler relationship, is not scheduled to attend.Meanwhile, in Russia, pro-Putin activists have gone onto social media to promote the chic man who is likely to run for presidential elections in March 2012 and return to the job he had done for eight years, before passing the baton to Medvedev. In one ad posted on YouTube, a contest for young women to rip off their t-shirts and show their breasts in support of their dear leader is offering an IPad2 as award.Young, smart and beautiful girls have united in the Putin Army, the young woman says. An army that will tear [their shirts] for him.

MUSLIM NATIONS

EZEKIEL 38:1-12
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog,(RULER) the land of Magog,(RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW)and Tubal,(TOBOLSK) and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW) and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws,(GOD FORCES THE RUSSIA-MUSLIMS TO MARCH) and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.(RUSSIA-EGYPT AND MUSLIMS)
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.(JORDAN)
42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

EZEKIEL 39:1-8

Arabs Damage Jew’s Car in Shimon HaTzaddik, Police Do Nothing by Elad Benari JULY 19,11

A car belonging to a Jew was damaged by Arabs in the tomb of Shimon HaTzaddik in Jerusalem on Monday, but police did not do anything to arrest the culprits. The incident occurred when the Jew arrived in Shimon HaTzaddik to participate in a chalaka (first haircut given to a three-year-old Jewish boy) of a family member. Upon returning to his car, he saw that it was smashed and had been badly damaged by Arab youths.A look at security cameras stationed in the area found that schoolchildren from a nearby camp had carried out the attack on the vehicle. The car owner told Arutz Sheva’s Hebrew website that police had arrived on the scene and watched the footage from the security cameras yet did nothing to arrest the culprits.

He further added that the vandals were backed by representatives of the United Nations and members of the Jerusalem Municipality who showed up to arrange a compromise between the police (who wanted to make arrests) and the young terrorists who damaged the vehicle. Finally, said the Jew, one of the police officers told him that nothing can be done with the case.Arabs have long been trying to rid the area (which they call Sheikh Jarrah) of Jewish residents, often attacking them and even resorting to making false claims against Jewish men for allegedly beating Arab women.
Despite these attempts, there has been a growing Jewish presence in the neighborhood.

Hizbullah Aimed at Israel in Istanbul
by Chana Ya'ar JULY 18,11

A bombing attack in Istanbul that wounded eight people two months ago now appears to have been aimed at Israel, and not Turkish citizens, according to a report by an Italian newspaper. The attack was originally thought to have been the work of the Kuristan Workers' Party (PKK), a terrorist group outlawed in Turkey, the European Union and the United States. However, according to a report published Monday in the Italian daily Corriere della Sera, three Hizbullah terrorists had arrived in Istanbul from Beirut to attack Israeli Consul General to Istabul Moshe Kimchi. The attack was intended to be carried out in retribution for the alleged assassination by the Mossad of Iranian nuclear physicist Masoud Ali Muhammedi last year in Tehran. The attempt failed, however, because the terrorists miscalculated – Kimchi's schedule ran late on the day of the attack, the report said.Ankara intelligence sources denied the report in an interview in the Turkish daily Hurriyet, saying, Israel carries out similar disinformation campaigns through newspapers from time to time.Security officials in Israel had issued a warning just one month earlier – in April – that Hizbullah was planning to attack Israelis abroad. The terrorist organization has for some time maintained its intention to murder Israelis in retaliation for the assassination of the group's #2 commander, Imad Mughniyeh in a Damascus car bombing in February 2008. Hizbullah accused Israel of carrying out the murder. Several such attempts have been foiled.(IsraelNationalNews.com)

Assad Regime Recognizes Palestinian State
by Gavriel Queenann JULY 18,11

The regime of embattled Syrian President Bashar Assad has recognized the Palestinian Authority as a sovereign state, Reuters reports. The statement added that Syria now regards the Palestine Liberation Organization office in Damascus as the official embassy of the Palestinian state.Assad's recognition comes at a time when mass protests calling for his ouster are being staged and the world questions his legitimacy to rule.Meanwhile, Qatar has suspended diplomatic relations with Syria due to an attack on its own embassy by Assad supporters. The announcement follows the Arab League draft statement last week saying it will submit a motion to the United Nations to upgrade the PA to full member status. It was decided to go to the United Nations to request the recognition of the state of Palestine with east Jerusalem as its capital and to move ahead and request a full membership, said the communique, a copy of which was obtained by Reuters. The statement did not provide a timeline, indicating the application would be made in time for the UN assembly in September. One PA delegate said the Arab League had appointed a committee to determine dates.
Full member status would require approval in the Security Council, where the United States has formally said it would veto any such resolution.(IsraelNationalNews.com)

OZONE DEPLETION JUDGEMENT ON THE EARTH DUE TO SIN

ISAIAH 30:26-27
26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold,(7X OR 7-DEGREES) as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people,(ISRAEL) and healeth the stroke of their wound.
27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:

MATTHEW 24:21-22,29
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake (ISRAELS SAKE) those days shall be shortened (Daylight hours shortened)
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

REVELATION 16:7-9
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

Heat wave scorches central United States
By Karin Matz – Mon Jul 18, 6:44 pm ET

CHICAGO (Reuters) – A stifling heat wave in the nation's midsection intensified on Monday, closing government buildings that lacked air-conditioning and prompting warnings to residents to keep as cool as possible. The National Weather Service put 18 states stretching from North Dakota to Texas and East to Ohio under a heat warning, watch or advisory. It said as many 13 deaths in the past week in the Midwest could be blamed on the effects of the heat. When humidity was factored in, the heat index made it feel as hot as 110 degrees in a broad swath of the nation.

This is unusual, said Pat Slattery, spokesman for the Weather Service. There's no sugar-coating anything here.In steamy Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 13 state government buildings at the capitol were closed after a break in a water main that shut off air-conditioning systems.Computer systems in Oklahoma's state agencies were turned off and 1,000 employees sent home, said spokeswoman Sara Cowden of the Department of Central Services. We're shutting everything down that generates heat, she said. The extreme drought afflicting the U.S. Southwest has in recent weeks caused water main breaks to quadruple in Oklahoma City to up to 20 a day, said city utility spokeswoman Debbie Ragan.Des Moines, Iowa, was experiencing its most prolonged heat wave in 20 years, according to Jim Keeney, a meteorologist with the Weather Service.

The hot weather in the nation's breadbasket also posed a threat to farmers' top cash crop, corn, as it enters its key growth stage of pollination. The wet spring led to late planting of corn, and dry hot weather was adding concerns.Right now we are seeing real stress in the corn plants, said Mark White, adviser to the Missouri Corn Growers Association.Persistent high temperatures were particularly dangerous to residents not accustomed to the combination of heat and humidity, Keeney said. Air-conditioning may be the rule in southern states, but many homes in the northern Plains and Midwest do not have it.Overnight temperatures were not expected to dip low enough to offer a reprieve. When you have high humidity, the body's ability to cool down is limited, Keeney said.

CITIES APPLYING LESSONS

The heat was building in Chicago, where temperatures were expected to peak later this week, meteorologist Richard Castro of the Weather Service said. The city learned a lesson during a blistering 1995 heat wave that was blamed for the deaths of as many as 800 people, many elderly who were in homes without air conditioning. That was a really rare event,Castro said. We're definitely going to see heat and humidity, but that was an unprecedented event. The city took precautions such as opening cooling centers and issuing warnings to keep hydrated and urging residents not to overdo it during the heat of the day.The local electric utility, Com Ed, said they had activated an emergency command center to deal with any power issues, but that energy usage was not out of the ordinary.Other cities echoed those warnings and braced for what could be a week or more of high temperatures.Excessive heat was forecast to bake the United States from the heartland to the Carolinas -- excluding parts of the Northeast and southern Florida -- through July 29.In Minneapolis, the Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Indians had a day-night doubleheader scheduled to begin with the heat index crawling higher.Ironically, the teams were making up a April contest that was postponed because of extreme cold and rain. How about that? The afternoon game here in 100-plus heat index is the makeup game to a game that we had to rain out in 45-degree spitting rain, said Twins' spokesman Kevin Smith.Only in Minnesota can we go to those extremes, but that is the name of the game here, he said. The club stationed water coolers all around the stadium, and relaxed a rule prohibiting fans from bringing in their own water bottles. In Texas, where a drought has withered crops and sparked wildfires, wildlife rescuers noted that adult deer were abandoning their fawns for lack of grass to eat.Nature can be cruel, said animal rescuer Karen Maxfield.(Reporting by Karin Matz, David Bailey, Steve Olafson, Jim Forsyth, Karen Pierog, Ros Krasny, Kevin Murphy and Suzi Parker; editing by Andrew Stern and Jerry Norton)

7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
GOD PROMISED BY A RAINBOW-THE EARTH WOULD NEVER BE DESTROYED TOTALLY WITH A FLOOD AGAIN.BUT FLOODIING IS A SIGN OF JUDGEMENT.

Pacific tropical storm forms; Bret off Bahamas
– Mon Jul 18, 5:07 pm ET

MIAMI – Tropical Storm Dora has formed in the Pacific off southern Mexico on a track forecast to keep it out to sea.The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami says the storm was centered Monday about 410 miles (660 kilometers) south-southeast of Salina Cruz, Mexico, and moving west at 14 mph (23 kph) with top sustained winds of 45 mph (72 kph). It could become a hurricane by Wednesday. In the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Bret was moving slowly north-northeast from the Bahamas and forecast to stay away from the U.S. East Coast.Bret's maximum sustained winds were 65 mph (105 kph). Its center was about 130 miles (210 kilometers) north of Great Abaco Island.Authorities canceled a tropical storm warning that had been issued for Grand Bahama and the Abaco Islands.

Giant dust storm moves through Phoenix area
By AMANDA LEE MYERS, Associated Press – JULY 18,11

PHOENIX – A giant wall of dust rolled through the Phoenix area on Monday, turning the sky brown, creating dangerous driving conditions and delaying some airline flights. The dust, also known as a haboob in Arabic and around Arizona, formed in Pinal County and headed northeast, reaching Phoenix at about 5:30 p.m.The dust wall was about 3,000 feet high and created winds of 25 to 30 mph, with gusts of up to 40 mph, said Austin Jamison, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. Visibility was down to less than a quarter-mile in some areas, he said. You have suddenly very poor visibilities that come on with all the dense dust in the air, he said. With poor visibilities, that makes for dangerous driving conditions and that's arguably the biggest impact. There were no immediate reports of accidents on roadways because of the storm, which began to clear within an hour of moving in. The Arizona Department of Public Safety did not immediately return a request for information about road conditions. Some departing flights at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport were delayed because of the storm, said airport spokeswoman Julie Rodriguez.

Incoming flights from nearby cities including Los Angeles were being held until the storm cleared, she said. She did not know how many flights were delayed or whether any were canceled.Another giant dust storm in Arizona caught worldwide attention on July 5. That storm brought a mile-high wall of dust that halted airline flights, knocked out power for hundreds of people and turned swimming pools into mud pits.
Jamison said Monday's storm was not as powerful or as large as the last one, and didn't last as long. It's kind of like a ripple in a pond where it spreads out, slows down and fades out, he said.Rodriguez said visibility at the airport was better Monday than it was during the July 5 storm, which grounded flights for 45 minutes. It's not as bad as it was, she said. It's reduced but it's not terrible.Weather officials say haboobs only happen in Arizona, the Sahara desert and parts of the Middle East because of dry conditions and large amounts of sand.
Pollution levels skyrocket during dust storms and create even more breathing problems for people with asthma and other similar conditions. The dust also brings increases in a disease known as Valley Fever, a fungal pneumonia. Valley Fever thrives in the hot and arid Southwest in dirt found just a few feet beneath the earth's surface; it can be stirred up by construction, wind and other activity.Associated Press writer Michelle Price contributed to this report.Online:

AP Exclusive: Mortgage robo-signing goes on By MICHELLE CONLIN - AP Business Writers,PALLAVI GOGOI - AP Business Writers | JULY 18,11

Salem, Mass. Registrar of Deeds John O'Brien stands near copies of robo-signed signatures at his office, in Salem, Monday, July 18, 2011. O'Brien said an investigation of more than 710,000 documents in his office found that 25,187 homeowners in the county, or about 3.5 percent, have paperwork on file with signatures he believes are fraudulent. (AP Photo/Steven Senne)Mortgage industry employees are still signing documents they haven't read and using fake signatures more than eight months after big banks and mortgage companies promised to stop the illegal practices that led to a nationwide halt of home foreclosures.County officials in at least three states say they have received thousands of mortgage documents with questionable signatures since last fall, suggesting that the practices, known collectively as robo-signing, remain widespread in the industry.

The documents have come from several companies that process mortgage paperwork, and have been filed on behalf of several major banks. One name, Linda Green, was signed almost two dozen different ways.Lenders say they are working with regulators to fix the problem but cannot explain why it has persisted.Last fall, the nation's largest banks and mortgage lenders, including JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and an arm of Goldman Sachs, suspended foreclosures while they investigated how corners were cut to keep pace with the crush of foreclosure paperwork.Critics say the new findings point to a systemic problem with the paperwork involved in home mortgages and titles. And they say it shows that banks and mortgage processors haven't acted aggressively enough to put an end to widespread document fraud in the mortgage industry.Robo-signing is not even close to over, says Curtis Hertel, the recorder of deeds in Ingham County, Mich., which includes Lansing. It's still an epidemic. In Essex County, Mass., the office that handles property deeds has received almost 1,300 documents since October with the signature of Linda Green, but in 22 different handwriting styles and with many different titles.Linda Green worked for a company called DocX that processed mortgage paperwork and was shut down in the spring of 2010. County officials say they believe Green hasn't worked in the industry since. Why her signature remains in use is not clear. My office is a crime scene, says John O'Brien, the registrar of deeds in Essex County, which is north of Boston and includes the city of Salem. In Guilford County, N.C., the office that records deeds says it received 456 documents with suspect signatures from Oct. 1, 2010, through June 30. The documents, mortgage assignments and certificates of satisfaction, transfer loans from one bank to another or certify a loan has been paid off.Suspect signatures on the paperwork include 290 signed by Bryan Bly and 155 by Crystal Moore. In the mortgage investigations last fall, both admitted signing their names to mortgage documents without having read them. Neither was charged with a crime.

And in Michigan, a fraud investigator who works on behalf of homeowners says he has uncovered documents filed this year bearing the purported signature of Marshall Isaacs, an attorney with foreclosure law firm Orlans Associates. Isaacs' name did not come up in last year's investigations, but county officials across Michigan believe his name is being robo-signed.O'Brien caused a stir in June at a national convention of county clerks by presenting his findings and encouraging his counterparts to investigate continued robo-signing.The nation's foreclosure machine almost came to a standstill when the nation's largest banks suspended foreclosures last fall. Part of the problem, banks contended, was that foreclosures became so rampant in 2009 and 2010 that they were overwhelmed with paperwork. The banks reviewed thousands of foreclosure filings, and where they found problems, they submitted new paperwork to courts handling the cases, with signatures they said were valid. The banks slowly started to resume foreclosures this winter and spring. The 14 biggest U.S. banks reached a settlement with federal regulators in April in which they promised to clean up their mistakes and pay restitution to homeowners who had been wrongly foreclosed upon. The full amount of the settlement has not been determined. But it will not involve independent mortgage processing firms, the companies that some banks use to handle and file paperwork for mortgages. So far, no individuals, lenders or paperwork processors have been charged with a crime over the robo-signed signatures found on documents last year. Critics such as April Charney, a Florida homeowner and defense lawyer, called the settlement a farce because no real punishment was meted out, making it easy for lenders and mortgage processors to continue the practice of robo-signing.

Robo-signing refers to a variety of practices. It can mean a qualified executive in the mortgage industry signs a mortgage affidavit document without verifying the information. It can mean someone forges an executive's signature, or a lower-level employee signs his or her own name with a fake title. It can mean failing to comply with notary procedures. In all of these cases, robo-signing involves people signing documents and swearing to their accuracy without verifying any of the information.
Most of the tainted mortgage documents in question last fall were related to homes in foreclosure. But much of the suspect paperwork that has been filed since then is for refinancing or for new purchases by people who are in good standing in the eyes of the bank. In addition, foreclosures are down 30 percent this year from last. Home sales have also fallen. So the new suspect documents come at a time when much less paperwork is streaming through the nation's mortgage machinery.None of the almost 1,300 suspect Linda Green-signed documents from O'Brien's office, for example, involve foreclosures. And Jeff Thigpen, the register of deeds in North Carolina's Guilford County, says fewer than 40 of the 456 suspect documents filed to his office since October involved foreclosures.Banks and their partner firms file mortgage documents with county deeds offices to prove that there are no liens on a property, that the bank owns a mortgage or that a bank filing for foreclosure has the authority to do so.The signature of a qualified bank or mortgage official on these legal documents is supposed to guarantee that this information is accurate. The paper trail ensures a legal chain of title on a property and has been the backbone of U.S. property ownership for more than 300 years. The county officials say the problem could be even worse than what they're reporting. That's because they are working off lists of known robo-signed names, such as Linda Green and Crystal Moore, that were identified during the investigation that began last fall. Officials suspect that other names on documents they have received since then are also robo-signed.It is a federal crime to sign someone else's name to a legal document. It is also illegal to sign your name to an affidavit if you have not verified the information you're swearing to. Both are punishable by prison. In Michigan, the attorney general took the rare step in June of filing criminal subpoenas to out-of-state mortgage processing companies after 23 county registers of deeds filed a criminal complaint with his office over robo-signed documents they say they have received. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman's office has said it is conducting a banking probe that could lead to criminal charges against financial executives. The attorneys general of Delaware, California and Illinois are conducting their own probes.

The legal issues are grave, deeds officials across the country say. At worst, legal experts say, the document debacle has opened the property system to legal liability well beyond the nation's foreclosure crisis. So someone buying a home and trying to obtain title insurance might be delayed or denied if robo-signed documents turn up in the property's history. That's because forged signatures call into question who owns mortgages and the properties they are attached to.The banks have completely screwed up property records, says L. Randall Wray, an economics professor and senior scholar at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.In the Massachusetts case, The Associated Press tried to reach Linda Green, whose name was purportedly signed 1,300 times since October. The AP, using a phone number provided by lawyers who have been investigating the documents since last year, reached a person who said she was Linda Green, but not the Linda Green involved in the mortgage investigation. In the Michigan case, a lawyer for the Orlans Associates law firm, where Isaacs works, denies that Isaacs or the firm has done anything wrong. People have signatures that change, says Terry Cramer, general counsel for the firm.We do not engage in robo-signing at Orlans. To combat the stream of suspect filings, O'Brien and Jeff Thigpen, the register of deeds in North Carolina's Guilford County, stopped accepting questionable paperwork June 7. They say they had no choice after complaining to federal and state authorities for months without getting anywhere.
Since then, O'Brien has received nine documents from Bank of America purportedly signed by Linda Burton, another name on authorities' list of known robo-signers. For years, his office has regularly received documents signed with Burton's name but written in such vastly different handwriting that two forensic investigators say it's highly unlikely it all came from the same person.

O'Brien returned the nine Burton documents to Bank of America in mid-June. He told the bank he would not file them unless the bank signed an affidavit certifying the signature and accepting responsibility if the title was called into question down the road. Instead, Bank of America sent new documents with new signatures and new notaries.A Bank of America spokesman says Burton is an assistant vice president with a subsidiary, ReconTrust. That company handles mortgage paperwork processing for Bank of America. She signed the documents on behalf of the bank, spokesman Richard Simon says. The bank says providing the affidavit O'Brien asked for would have been costly and time-consuming. Instead, Simon says Bank of America sent a new set of documents signed by an authorized associate who Mr. O'Brien wasn't challenging. The bank didn't respond to questions about why Burton's name has been signed in different ways or why her signature appeared on documents that investigators in at least two states have deemed invalid.Several attempts by the AP to reach Burton at ReconTrust were unsuccessful.O'Brien says the bank's actions show consciousness of guilt. Earlier this year, he hired Marie McDonnell, a mortgage fraud investigator and forensic document analyst, to verify his suspicions about Burton's and other names on suspect paperwork. She compared valid copies of Burton's signature with the documents O'Brien had received in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and found that Burton's name was fraudulently signed on hundreds of documents. Most of the documents reviewed by McDonnell were mortgage discharges, which are issued when a home changes hands or is refinanced by a new lender and are supposed to confirm that the previous mortgage has been paid off. Bank of America declined comment on McDonnell's findings. In Michigan, recorder of deeds Hertel and his counterparts in 23 other counties found numerous suspect signatures on documents filed since the beginning of the year.In June, their findings led the Michigan attorney general to issue criminal subpoenas to several firms that process mortgages for banks, including Lender Processing Services, the parent company of DocX, where Linda Green worked. On July 6, the CEO of that company, which is also under investigation by the Florida Attorney General's office, resigned, citing health reasons.

Casey Anthony lies low on first day of freedom
By MIKE SCHNEIDER and MATT SEDENSKY, Associated Press – JULY 17,11

ORLANDO, Fla. – This is what freedom looks like for Casey Anthony: $537.68 from her jail account, no job, estranged parents, a criminal record, lawsuits pending against her and the scorn of multitudes who think she got away with murder. She quickly gave reporters the slip after walking out of jail Sunday, but whatever life she manages to build for herself will be lived under a media microscope and the shadow of countless threats.Right now we are just moving forward and trying to start putting the pieces back together for Casey's life, her attorney, Jose Baez, told Geraldo Rivera by phone on Fox News Channel late Sunday.Experts who have helped other notorious defendants through rough times say she will have opportunities as well, but it won't be easy for the 25-year-old, who was found not guilty of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, but convicted of lying to investigators. With her hair in a bun, Casey Anthony walked out the front door of an Orlando-area jail shortly after midnight, wearing a pink T-shirt, blue jeans and sneakers, and escorted by sheriff's deputies holding semi-automatic rifles. Protesters shouted baby killer and you suck as she climbed into an SUV.

The vehicle sped away and darted into a parking garage at a building where one of her attorneys has offices. Where she went next is unknown.Soon after her release, there was police activity at Orlando Executive Airport as two vehicles pulled up to a twin-engine private jet bound for Columbus, Ohio, but no one saw Anthony get out and onto the plane. Ohio is the home state of Anthony's parents, but an official at the Columbus airport said the aircraft was only carrying golfers back from a Florida vacation.Casey is in good hands, said Todd Macaluso, a former member of Anthony's defense team who declined to comment further.Baez did not respond Sunday to email and phone messages left by The Associated Press, nor did other lawyers on her defense team and those representing her father and mother. And in the Fox News interview, Baez declined to talk about his client's whereabouts or state of mind.
Asked her plans including whether she might enter a residential therapy program, Baez said lawyers for Anthony are certainly exploring all possibilities right now. Baez said he was foremost concerned about Anthony's safety, and struck out at media commentators who have been condemning Anthony as guilty despite the jury's verdict.

This young woman had her day in court,Baez told Fox News. We need to start respecting jury verdicts and decisions that juries make.Asked if Anthony planned to cash in on her fame, Baez said she has certain rights as an individual in this country. But Baez denied one entrepreneur's claim on the network that he had acquired the rights to an interview with her for $1 million, and said that in fact he wouldn't be meeting with the man after the televised boast. Attorneys planned to handle Anthony's affairs in a dignified manner, he said.If she decides she wants to speak publicly about it, she'll make that decision, he said.Another former Anthony lawyer, Terry Lenamon, said he had no clue where she was headed, and that probably only a few people close to her knew.I wouldn't want anyone to know, he said.I think she needs to go underground and I think she needs to spend some time to get her life back together.Anthony's July 5 acquittal shocked and enraged many around the country who had been following the case since Caylee's 2008 disappearance. Anger has spilled onto social media sites and elsewhere. Her legal team said on Friday it had received an emailed death threat.Anthony did not report her daughter's disappearance for a month and was arrested after telling a string of lies about the case to police. Caylee's remains were found in December 2008 near the home Casey Anthony shared with her parents.Prosecutors alleged that Anthony suffocated her daughter with duct tape because motherhood interfered with her desire for a carefree life, but her lawyers said the girl drowned in an accident that snowballed out of control. Some of the jurors who acquitted Anthony said they believe she bears some responsibility for her daughter's death but that prosecutors failed to prove that she murdered the child.

Anthony had remained in jail to finish a four-year sentence for lying to investigators. With credit for the nearly three years she'd spent in jail since August 2008 and good behavior, she had only days remaining when she was sentenced July 7.Her public vilification did not ease with her release from jail. A baby killer was just set free! Bree Thornton, 39, shouted as the SUV left the jail. She is safer in jail than she is out here, said Mike Quiroz, who drove from Miami to spend his 22nd birthday outside the jail. She better watch her butt. She is known all over the world. It won't be impossible for Anthony to get a fresh start, though it will be difficult, said Los Angeles-based attorney Thomas Mesereau. His clients have included the late singer Michael Jackson when he was charged with child molestation and actor Robert Blake when he was charged with murdering his wife.Anthony could accept requests for paid interviews, or a benefactor may be able to help her in the short term, Mesereau said. When you have that degree of celebrity, there is usually somebody who would like to get involved, Mesereau said. The problem is trusting anyone. People are willing to leak things to the media. They're willing to be paid off for information. It's very difficult to find people whom you can trust. As of Sunday, though, those closest to her had revealed little about her future plans. Baez said in a brief statement issued as she was being released that he hoped Anthony could receive the counseling and treatment she needs to move forward with the rest of her life.Other attorneys on her defense team have not hinted at where she might go, and neither have her parents, whose relationship with Casey Anthony is strained. During trial, Anthony's defense attorneys argued that her father, George Anthony, molested Casey as a child and covered up Caylee's death. He has denied both claims, and neither has been substantiated. What is known is that Casey Anthony still faces a slew of legal problems even though the criminal charges have been resolved. She has been sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars by a Texas group that searched for Caylee in the weeks after she was reported missing, and prosecutors are seeking to recoup the cost of their investigation into Caylee's disappearance.

Anthony also is being sued for defamation by a woman named Zenaida Gonzalez who claims she has been harassed and unable to find work after Anthony alleged Caylee was kidnapped by a baby sitter with Gonzalez' name. The woman's attorneys had wanted to depose Anthony before she left jail, but the deposition was rescheduled for October.Any of those civil cases could put a major dent in any money Anthony receives for writing a book, signing a movie deal or doing interviews. Anthony is broke, and her defense team was paid for with taxpayers' money after $200,000 she received from ABC News was spent.Several book publishers contacted by The Associated Press said they knew of no memoir that was being shopped around and consider her too tainted to sign a deal.Anthony could avoid the potential liability of hundreds of thousands of dollars from the lawsuits by filing for bankruptcy, though plaintiffs would probably attempt to keep her on the hook for damages if she signs lucrative deals after filing, said R. Scott Shuker, an Orlando bankruptcy attorney. There is a potentially huge upside to keep the income and not owe the debt, but you know these folks are going to challenge it so she would be having more trials, Shuker said.An important step in building a new life is getting psychological help to cope with her notoriety, severed family ties and newfound freedom, said attorneys with clients in similar circumstances.Everything she has been through, that's more than most people can deal with in a lifetime, said Daniel Meachum, an Atlanta attorney who has represented football player Michael Vick when he was convicted of dog fighting and actor Wesley Snipes when he was convicted of tax evasion.Media relations expert Marti Mackenzie, who specialized in legal cases, said it's important for Anthony to make some kind of public statement soon. She said a standard news conference is out of the question, but Anthony needs to say she made terrible mistakes, that she is grateful to her defense team and that she has thought about what happened every day of her life in jail.In traditional public relations language, it's called feeding the beast,Mackenzie said. Even if you don't give the beast a full meal, you respond. Because once you're part of media scrutiny ... how it is handled once the case is over will help to set a tone.Associated Press writer Curt Anderson in Miami contributed to this report.

DOCTOR DOCTORIAN FROM ANGEL OF GOD
then the angel said, Financial crisis will come to Asia. I will shake the world.

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

IMF slams EU over slow-moving crisis reponse
HONOR MAHONY 14.07.2011 @ 17:44 CET

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - The International Monetary Fund has sharply criticised the EU's protracted debate over its second bailout for Greece saying it urgently needs to dispel uncertainty. What is critical now is for Europe to dispel the uncertainty that is being created by the lack of what is perceived by markets as an insufficient response Ajai Chopra, IMF mission chief to Ireland, said on Thursday while announcing the results of a review of Ireland's economic EU-IMF economic programme.
What is lacking so far is a European solution to a European problem. He went on to say that the risk of contagion of eurozone malaise - Italy saw a sharp spike in its borrowing costs last week - is pushing up Ireland's yields. If it wasn't for contagion risks we would be seeing significantly lower spreads in the case of Ireland. The downgrade is largely a reflection of events outside Ireland. With Greece, Ireland and Portugal all subject to an EU-IMF loan, and Athens in line for a second one, there have been worries that crisis could spread as markets doubt the EU's political commitment to deal with the current troubled states. This doubt has deepened as eurozone states have been locked in a struggle to work out the technicalities of involving the private sector in a second Greek loan, something pushed by Germany but viewed by agencies - even if the participation is voluntary - as akin to a selective default. We need to come to closure on this debate on private sector involvement,Chopra urged. But while the EU may have come in for criticism, the international assessment team, which also includes representatives from the European Central Bank and the European Commission, gave Ireland the thumbs up for its work so far on bringing down its large deficit. The teams' assessment is that the programme remains on track and is well financed, the three institutions said in a statement.

They recommended that Ireland should get the next €4 billion installment of its bailout, as well as an additional €500 million in bilateral loans from the UK.With the voices of protesters outside clearly audible during the press conference, Chopra was asked directly about the harsh social consequences of the EU-IMF programme.
Ireland has an unemployment rate of 14 percent. Its citizens have been subjected to higher taxes while at the same time seeing a sharp reduction in basic public services.Chopra replied that Ireland would have been worse off without the international community stepping in.The adjustment would have been much more painful without the EU-IMF cushion, he said.

5 Persia,(IRAN,IRAQ) Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer,(GERMANY) and all his bands; the house of Togarmah (TURKEY)of the north quarters, and all his bands:(SUDAN,AFRICA) and many people with thee.

12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

Iran suicide bombers pose bigger threat than missiles, expert says VALENTINA POP 15.07.2011 @ 09:13 CET

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Iran's current capabilities do not justify the development of an extensive missile shield covering all Europe and the US, since Tehran poses more of a threat in the Gulf region and to Israel rather than Paris or Washington, a missile defence expert has said.Iran isn't really a threat to the US or Western Europe. Rather to Turkey, Israel and US forces based in the region. Possibly also to the very south-eastern corner of Europe - Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Michael Elleman, a Bahrain-based expert with the Institute for International Security Studies in London told this website.Having jointly worked with US, European and Russian experts on an assessment of the missile threat to Europe, Elleman said the current deployment of warship-based interceptors in the Mediterranean was the best solution and the US should not continue with a bigger plan of putting land-based anti-ballistic missiles to cover the entire territory of Europe. What we've concluded in our study is that if Iran was able to target London or Paris, it would have to develop a longer-range system and to test that, they would have to do it in flight. And you can't hide that activity,he said.Replacing the Bush-era project which would have deployed land-based counter-missiles in Poland and a radar facility in the Czech Republic, the 2009 plan announced by President Barack Obama has four stages: the already deployed ship-based interceptors and a radar in Turkey - provided Ankara and Washington strike a deal - followed by land-based interceptors in Romania in 2015.These two phases would cover the threat posed by Iran's current and most likely capabilities in the near future. In phase three and four, however, the shield would extend to Poland and northern Europe, aiming to protect the entire Euro-Atlantic space from potential long-range ballistic missiles.

The uncertainty about what these last phases are about are still a major irritant for Russia, Elleman notes.Americans have a history of saying we're going to do this and then when they start doing it, it grows bigger and bigger. It's that uncertainty they're concerned with, he explains.Joint mechanisms for working out possible common projects have so far yielded few results, despite having eased the tensions of the George W. Bush era, when Moscow was threatening to deploy its own missiles on the Polish border.A highly polarising topic in US politics, the idea of having zero-risk anti-ballistic missile defence goes back to 1983, when US President Ronald Reagan made his famous Star Wars speech outlining for the first time the idea of an anti-ballistic shield covering the entire US territory. But the tens of billions of US dollars that would eventually flow into this project, were it to be completed in all its phases, will eventually push someone to ask the embarrassing question why we are paying these billions to protect Europe.A self-declared missile defence sceptic, Elleman argued that the technical challenges are immense for creating a shield to protect civilian areas, cities and industrial sites. Anti-ballistic missiles work in war theatres, where casualties are expected. But it's much more complicated if debris fall on a city, or you can't hit all the incoming missiles.Elleman argues that building strategic defences against something neither US and Europe are really sure about is a waste of time and money. The essential question to me is what is Iran capable of doing and what do we foresee it will be capable of in the near future. That should be the focus of the discussion, but it hasn't been to date.Looking at the current Iranian capabilities, the expert noted that the country has a very limited conventional army and no amphibious capabilities to invade, let's say, Bahrain or Saudi Arabia.Ballistic missiles and rockets fired from small boats against US ships are the extent of their capability so far.But the actual damage they can do with a missile, provided it has no nuclear warhead on it, is quite narrow. There would be less than 1000 deaths if they launched their entire arsenal of missiles. They could do much more damage with suicide bombers than with missiles, Elleman said.

As for the nuclear threat, the expert said it was worrying that Iran was pursuing its nuclear programme, particularly since if they were to aquire the bomb, Saudi Arabia may put all its money into getting one as well. But he is not convinced that Tehran has yet taken the decision to build the bomb - an effort which would most likely take another year. And then, if they have one bomb, what will they do with it? he asked, noting that in order to be a nuclear power and have a real deterrent for neighbouring countries, Iran would need a dozen bombs which would take another several years to build.Being on the verge of acquiring the bomb may actually be enough of a deterrent. But then again, there are different factions within the Iranian regime and the more radical ones may push forward the decision to build the bomb.

Italy on course for speedy approval of budget
HONOR MAHONY 15.07.2011 @ 09:13 CET

Italy's lower house of parliament is set Friday for fast-track approval of a three-year austerity budget amid pressure from both the markets and other EU member states to take swift action. With senate approval (161 to 135 votes) given on Thursday, the lower house is expected to greenlight the measures designed to eliminate Italy's budget deficit by 2014 through a combination of cuts and taxes amounting to €45bn.Fears that the eurozone crisis would spread to Italy came to the fore last week when markets became nervous that infighting in Rome would see tough budget decision postponed. Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi added to the jitters by openly criticising his finance minister Giulio Tremonti. The markets responded last Friday with a strong sell-off of Italian stocks, prompting EU council president Herman Van Rompuy to call an emergency meeting of top eurozone officials at the beginning of the week to discuss the eurozone's third largest economy. An inconclusive meeting of EU finance ministers on Greece on the same day has meant that fears of contagion are still alive. Ajai Chopra, the IMF's official in Ireland, on Thursday said that contagion risks were directly responsible for Ireland's credit rating earlier this week being downgraded to junk status by Moody's rating agency.

The markets are waiting for the EU to reach a deal on a second loan to Greece. Eurozone finance ministers promised swift action at their meeting on Monday but gave no details.Since then the EU has been vacillating over holding an emergency summit. One is expected to be called only when a deal has been agreed, with much dependent on Germany, which is holding out for the involvement of the private sector.A pre-requisite [for the summit] is that we can decide on a ready-made, new programme for Greece, said German chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday, according to Reuters.
She spoke in favour of a quick agreement but added that it must also be a reasonable one.

Summers urges aggressive euro zone crisis response
– Sun Jul 17, 8:59 pm ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Former White House aide Lawrence Summers on Sunday urged Europe to take a more aggressive response to the debt crisis sweeping the region and suggested patience with its approach was running thin.In an opinion piece published by Reuters, Summers -- a Harvard professor and former Treasury secretary under President Bill Clinton -- said that if Europe does not get the crisis under control soon, other G20 countries should become more vocal in pressing Europe on doing what they think is best.It is to be hoped that European officials can engineer a decisive change in direction but if not, the world can no longer afford the deference that the IMF and non-European G20 officials have shown toward European policy makers over the last 15 months, Summers wrote. His comments came ahead of a summit of Euro zone leaders Thursday in Brussels aimed at a second rescue deal for Greece.Alarmed by the spread of market jitters over Greece to Italy and Spain, where bond yields have surged in the past 10 days, European governments are struggling to put together a second bailout of Greece that would supplement a 110 billion euro rescue launched in May last year.

Summers argued that if there is any chance for success in stemming the financial crisis, policymakers must first recognize that maintaining systemic confidence is key. There must be a clear and unambiguous commitment that whatever else happens, the failure of major financial institutions in any country will not be permitted, Summers wrote. He said the European Central Bank (ECB) was right to be concerned that punishing creditors for the sake of teaching lessons or building political support was reckless in a system that depends on confidence.Summers, who headed the National Economic Council for the first two years of the Obama administration, called for a fundamental shift toward an approach that focuses on avoiding systemic risk.He also laid out measures for containing the euro-debt storm including:
* Interest rates on official sector debt be reduced to a European borrowing rate defined as the rate at which common European entities backed with joint and several liability by all the countries of Europe can borrow.
* Countries whose borrowing rate exceeds some threshold -- perhaps 200 basis points over the lowest national borrowing rate in the Euro system -- should be exempted from contribution requirements for bailout funds.
* Countries judged to be pursuing sound policies will be permitted to buy EU guarantees on new debt issuances at a reasonable price payable on a deferred basis.

The alternative to forthright action today is much more expensive action -- to much less benefit -- in the not too distant future,Summers wrote. The next few weeks may well be among the most consequential in the history of the European Union.(Reporting by JoAnne Allen; editing by Todd Eastham)

THE FIRST JUDGEMENT OF THE EARTH STARTED WITH WATER-IT ONLY MAKES SENSE THE LAST GENERATION WILL BE HAVING FLOODING
GENESIS 7:6-12
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

Tropical storm could form near northern Bahamas
– Sun Jul 17, 5:35 pm ET

MIAMI (Reuters) – A tropical depression formed in the Atlantic Ocean near the northwest Bahamas on Sunday and forecasters at the U.S. National Hurricane Center said it could strengthen into Tropical Storm Bret by Monday. The swirling mass of thunderstorms was expected to pass near the northern islands of the Bahamas and then curve out over the open Atlantic, staying away from the U.S. coast and the energy interests in the Gulf of Mexico. The government of the Bahamas issued a tropical storm watch for Grand Bahama Island and the Abaco islands in the northwest Bahamas, alerting residents that tropical storm conditions are possible within 48 hours. The disturbance had top winds of 35 miles per hour (56 km per hour). If those rotating winds reach 39 miles per hour (63 km per hour), it would become Tropical Storm Bret, the second storm of the Atlantic-Caribbean hurricane season that runs from June 1 to November 30.The disturbance was drifting south and was expected to turn slowly north-northwest on Monday, dumping up to 3 inches of rain on the northwest Bahamas and roiling the surf on some the islands' beaches. It was forecast to move away from central Florida, where the space shuttle Atlantis is scheduled to land on Thursday.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

Worst heatwave in years grips Midwest, moving east
By James B. Kelleher – Sun Jul 17, 2:13 pm ET

CHICAGO (Reuters) – An oppressive and potentially deadly summertime mix of sizzling temperatures and high humidity baked a large swath of the country again on Sunday, pushing afternoon heat indexes in dozens of cities to dangerous levels.Forecasters warned the heatwave would persist through much of the coming week and cautioned residents in more than three dozen states to take extra precautions. The National Weather Service posted excessive heat warnings for much of the country's midsection, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, as well as South and North Dakota, where forecasters predicted heat indexes could hit 115 degrees. This will likely be the most significant heat wave the region has experienced in at least the last five years, the weather service said.

Cities especially hard hit by the heat included Rapid City, South Dakota, Springfield, Illinois, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, where AccuWeather.com meteorologists were predicting long-standing high-temperature records would fall this week.Kristina Pydynowski, a senior meteorologist at AccuWeather, predicted the heatwave will affect more than 40 states. All the states will see temperatures of 90 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, she said, and a large number of them will bake above 100 degrees for days on end.The scorching weather is the latest in a series of meteorological problems to best the Midwest in recent months. The list includes the devastating tornado that ripped through Joplin, Missouri in late May, killing nearly 160 people and destroying more than 8,000 homes and other structures, as well as the ongoing flooding along the Missouri River, which has triggered weeks of evacuations and other emergency measures from Montana through Missouri. While the heat wave is currently focused on the High Plains and Mississippi Valley, it is expected to press east by the middle of the week, the weather service said.In Chicago, where high heat and humidity warnings were twinned with an alert for poor air quality, temperatures were expected to hit 95 degrees in the afternoon, creating heat indexes as high as 105.In Minnesota, the heat wave was expected to continue through Wednesday with possible thunderstorms in some parts. Highs in the Twin Cities area could reach 94 degrees on Sunday, and 97 degrees from Monday through Wednesday. The weather service is projecting possibly six consecutive days of temperatures at 90 degrees or higher in the Twin Cities, the longest stretch to far this year, but short of records, meteorologist Jim Richardson said.

Basically, today through Wednesday looks to be the warmest regime and humidity levels up there as well, Richardson said.By mid week many locations on the east coast will have heat index values approaching or exceeding 100 degrees, including Washington D.C., the weather service said.In St. Louis, temperatures are expected to reach 96 degrees on Sunday, 98 on Monday and touch the 100 degree mark on Tuesday. The heat index values are expected to range from 105 to 115 degrees. In the Kansas City area, heat index values are expected to range from 105 to 110 degrees on Sunday and then average about 110 degrees through Friday with oppressive heat and humidity.

Japan radioactive beef scare widens
– Sun Jul 17, 5:13 am ET

TOKYO (AFP) – A scare in Japan over radioactive beef spread on Sunday with more parts of the country reporting contaminated meat, four months after March's quake and tsunami triggered a nuclear disaster.Meat from 132 cattle that ate straw tainted with high levels of radioactive caesium are known to have been shipped across the country, according to local media including national network NHK and the Asahi Shimbun.Of the 47 prefectures in Japan, contaminated meat is believed to have been shipped to 36 of them and consumed in 31, NHK said, including Tokyo. Some supermarkets in the capital have put up signs warning about radioactive beef. The government is expected on Tuesday to ban all beef shipments from Fukushima prefecture, where the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant is still emitting radiation.Japan has not set up a centralised system to check food for radiation, relying instead on testing carried out by local authorities.Kohei Otsuka, senior vice health minister, suggested that the beef shipment ban may also be expanded to cover areas outside Fukushima, depending on the results of investigations into the extent of the contamination.

Our discussions have been that from the 19th (Tuesday) we will ask for a shipment control on Fukushima beef, Otsuka told a television political programme. At this point, we are considering Fukushima prefecture. But we may consider whether further action is needed after studying how contaminated straw was distributed,he said. The government has sought to assure the public that there is no immediate health threat from eating standard quantities of beef, even if it is tainted.

SINS OF PEOPLE

ISAIAH 5:20-25
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

2 TIMOTHY 3:1-5
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1 TIMOTHY 1:9
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

ROMANS 3:13-18
13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:
17 And the way of peace have they not known:
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

2 TIMOTHY 4:3-4
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

DECIEVERS WAXING WORSE AND WORSE.

2 TIMOTHY 3:13
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

EPHESIANS 5:5-8
5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Casey Anthony to be released from jail Sunday
By the CNN Wire Staff July 16, 2011 8:47 p.m. EDT

3 journalists will witness the release of Casey Anthony from a Florida jail-She was first arrested in July 2008 over the disappearance of her daughter-A jury acquitted her on a murder charge and found her guilty of lying to police-Questions remain about what she will do and whether she will be in danger

(CNN) -- Casey Anthony is set to walk free from a Florida jail on Sunday, three years and one day after she was first arrested for her role in the disappearance and, eventually, death of her 2-year-old daughter. The Orlando woman's release comes 12 days after a jury acquitted her on murder and child neglect charges. That verdict brought an abrupt end to a six-week trial that drew intense media hype for its elements of family drama and the continued mystery over what happened to young Caylee Anthony.A print reporter, videographer and photographer were expected to arrive around 10 p.m. Saturday at the Orange County jail facility to document Anthony's release, according to the county corrections department. They will then share details with the legions of other journalists camped out in a staging area outside the jail's booking center.By Saturday afternoon, about 20 satellite TV trucks and many other vehicles from news outlets nationwide were positioned to broadcast the news onsite. They were joined by a handful of demonstrators, mostly voicing their opposition to Anthony's release, though one man standing by himself under a tree did tote a sign reading, She's not guilty. Get over it.

While she was cleared on the more serious charges, the jury of seven women and five men did convict Casey Anthony on four counts of misleading law enforcement agents who were investigating Caylee's whereabouts.Orange County Superior Court Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr. gave Anthony credit for time served in determining the release date. She was initially taken into custody July 16, 2008, and had been jailed -- with some brief exceptions, having been freed on bail on multiple occasions -- for most of the past three years. Her toddler girl's skeletal remains were eventually found in a wooded field not far from the home of Casey Anthony's parents in December 2008, seven months after she was last seen.

People: Anthony's admirers send cash to her in jail

Prosecutors tried, unsuccessfully, to convince jurors that the mother used chloroform to render her daughter unconscious and then duct-taped her mouth and nose to suffocate her. Her defense lawyers, meanwhile, painted Caylee's death as an accident, claiming that she'd drowned accidentally at the family pool and that Casey and her father George Anthony both covered it up.The questions about how Caylee died, and who was responsible, remain open. But a more immediate issue is what happens next to the girl's mother, who attracted intense anger, revulsion and even sympathy from a public that she will once again be a part of.While there have been cash donations to her jailhouse account, the more widespread sentiment is against Casey Anthony, with many feeling she killed her daughter and got away with it. This fury has led to speculation that the polarizing subject of the Hate Casey Anthony Facebook page -- and the source of ire for its more than 40,000 fans -- might change her name and appearance and move someplace far away.If her attorneys are doing the right thing and are doing their jobs, they're going to have to explain to her that there is real hatred out there for her, that there have been death threats, that she cannot just walk amongst the population, HLN legal contributor Sunny Hostin said. That is not just going to happen.

Detectives defend their investigation

Florida corrections officials, and Anthony's lawyers, have offered few details about what will happen to her once she's out. That's in part likely due to the intense emotions Anthony's release has generated.I know it's bad God Forgive me but i hope someone wipes that smirk off her face. With a mack truck, one poster on the I Hate Casey Anthony Facebook page wrote.Visiting the Orlando site where Caylee's remains were found, Rebecca Stone said she believed her mother put her here -- even if the jury did not reach the same conclusion. When asked about what's next for Casey Anthony, the Flowery Branch, Georgia, mother of two told CNN,I don't think she will be alive for long.An Oklahoma woman said she has already faced the kind of ire Anthony may face when she's no longer behind the protective walls of the Orange County Jail.Sammy Blackwell told CNN affiliate KOTV that a woman who mistook her for Anthony on July 8 rammed her car twice, flipping it over. She said that I was trying to hurt babies, I was killing babies and she was going to stop it before it happened again, Blackwell told the station. As it happens, Blackwell has a daughter named Caylee too, but that's the end of the similarities. She says she really doesn't even look that much like Anthony and worries for women who do.

Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said Tuesday that investigators are assessing threats to Anthony's safety. While he said the department was not aware of any credible threats to her life, it's a concern that was clearly on his mind.Nobody has a right to take the law in their own hands, he said.Casey Anthony had her day in court and the jury made a decision. I would hope people would step back and would not go out and commit another crime. It's also a concern for her attorneys.Myself and other members of the team are concerned for her safety, very much so, one of her attorneys, Dorothy Sims, told HLN.What Anthony will do after her release is unclear.
If I knew at this point, I'm sure you can appreciate that I wouldn't tell you, Sims said. I don't believe that that has been resolved. My hope for her would be that she would be left alone and her privacy would be respected.Hostin said on CNN that she's heard reports that Anthony will go into hiding, live under an assumed name or get plastic surgery. But I think we are going to hear her story, because people have offered her a million dollars already for her story, she said.

People: Cindy Anthony will not face perjury charges
Anthony also still has legal issues to deal with.

Her criminal team is appealing her convictions for misleading police, and she is being sued in two separate actions in civil court. One is filed by a woman with the same name Anthony gave to investigators as the name of her daughter's fictitious nanny. The other involves a search group that wants Anthony to repay expenses they incurred looking for Caylee.Anthony may be offered money for book and movie deals, but one offer won't be on the table.Playboy founder Hugh Hefner told CNN's Piers Morgan that the magazine won't be offering Anthony a pictorial.I wouldn't reward someone like that for what has happened, Hefner said.Defense attorney J. Cheney Mason, who once said he thought of Anthony as a granddaughter, said he doesn't know what life holds in store for his client, but has hopes. She is only 25 years old. A decade from now, hopefully, she'll have some stability in her life and maybe a husband, and they can be somewhere in Montana and start over, he said.CNN's Martin Savidge and journalists Mike Pearson and Catherine Callaway contributed to this report.

Parshah Matot - Numbers 30:2-32:42

SINCE WHAT ISRAEL READS WILL BE FULFILLED IN THAT WEEK I WILL BE PUTTING THE WEEKLY TORAH PORTION ON FOR ALL OF US TO KEEP TRACK OF ISRAEL HAPPENINGS.

TORAH PORTION FROM JULY 17,2011 6PM - JULY 23,6PM 2011

NUMBERS 30:2 - 32:42
2 If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
3 If a woman also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father's house in her youth;
4 And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.
5 But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her.
6 And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;
7 And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
8 But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall forgive her.
9 But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her.
10 And if she vowed in her husband's house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;
11 And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
12 But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall forgive her.
13 Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
14 But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.
15 But if he shall any ways make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity.
16 These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father's house.

NUMBERS 31:1-54
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.
3 And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian.
4 Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.
5 So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
6 And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.
7 And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.
8 And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
9 And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.
10 And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.
11 And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.
12 And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.
13 And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp.
14 And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.
15 And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.
17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
19 And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.
20 And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.
21 And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;
22 Only the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
23 Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.
24 And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.
25 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
26 Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:
27 And divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:
28 And levy a tribute unto the LORD of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:
29 Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.
30 And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.
31 And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.
32 And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,
33 And threescore and twelve thousand beeves,
34 And threescore and one thousand asses,
35 And thirty and two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known man by lying with him.
36 And the half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was in number three hundred thousand and seven and thirty thousand and five hundred sheep:
37 And the LORD'S tribute of the sheep was six hundred and threescore and fifteen.
38 And the beeves were thirty and six thousand; of which the LORD'S tribute was threescore and twelve.
39 And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; of which the LORD'S tribute was threescore and one.
40 And the persons were sixteen thousand; of which the LORD'S tribute was thirty and two persons.
41 And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD'S heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.
42 And of the children of Israel's half, which Moses divided from the men that warred,
43 (Now the half that pertained unto the congregation was three hundred thousand and thirty thousand and seven thousand and five hundred sheep,
44 And thirty and six thousand beeves,
45 And thirty thousand asses and five hundred,
46 And sixteen thousand persons;)
47 Even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
48 And the officers which were over thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:
49 And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.
50 We have therefore brought an oblation for the LORD, what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD.
51 And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of them, even all wrought jewels.
52 And all the gold of the offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels.
53 (For the men of war had taken spoil, every man for himself.)
54 And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.

NUMBERS 32:1-42
1 Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;
2 The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying,
3 Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon,
4 Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle:
5 Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.
6 And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?
7 And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?
8 Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadeshbarnea to see the land.
9 For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.
10 And the LORD'S anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying,
11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:
12 Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.
13 And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.
14 And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.
15 For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people.
16 And they came near unto him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones:
17 But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
18 We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.
19 For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward.
20 And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD to war,
21 And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,
22 And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD.
23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.
24 Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth.
25 And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth.
26 Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead:
27 But thy servants will pass over, every man armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord saith.
28 So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:
29 And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:
30 But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.
31 And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.
32 We will pass over armed before the LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours.
33 And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.
34 And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,
35 And Atroth, Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbehah,
36 And Bethnimrah, and Bethharan, fenced cities: and folds for sheep.
37 And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim,
38 And Nebo, and Baalmeon, (their names being changed,) and Shibmah: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded.
39 And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorite which was in it.
40 And Moses gave Gilead unto Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein.
41 And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took the small towns thereof, and called them Havothjair.
42 And Nobah went and took Kenath, and the villages thereof, and called it Nobah, after his own name.

PROPHETS PORTION

JEREMIAH 1:1-2:3
1 The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:
2 To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.
3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.
4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
13 And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north.
14 Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
15 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.
16 And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.
17 Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.
18 For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.
19 And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.

JEREMIAH 2:1-3
1 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.
3 Israel was holiness unto the LORD, and the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.

NEW TESTAMENT PORTION

MATTHEW 5:33-37
33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:
35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
