THE 12 TRIBES FOREVER IN ISRAEL

THE 12 TRIBES OF ISRAEL

JEREMIAH 23:5-8
5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
8 But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

EZEKIEL 34:22-24
22 Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.
23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
24 And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.

In Flavius Josephus' Antiquities of the Jews (11.5.2.133) he describes the location of the 10 tribes as follows: The entire body of the people of Israel remained in that country (Persia)(IRAN-IRAQ) wherefore there are but two tribes in Asia and Europe subject to the Romans, while the 10 tribes are beyond Euphrates till now, and are an immense multitude, and not to be estimated by numbers.

If the Ten lost tribes still exist as the Bible's Prophecies affirm, then were have they been during the last several thousand years? Various Cults and odd religious groups have tried to identify these lost tribes as (1) the British-Israelite movement , or (2) the American Indian tribes, or other equally fanciful guesses. The evidence offered by these cults for identifying the ten tribes with these groups is totally without scholarly foundation. There is no historical evidence that credibly connects the lost tribes with either Britian or the American Indians. The prophet Hosea declared.

HOSEA 3:4-5
4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.

WHY NOT BRITISH, AMERICAN INDIANS

GENESIS 17:13-14
13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.

CHINA
ISAIAH 49:12
12 Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.(China)

EZEKIEL 37:19-22
19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.
21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

JEREMIAH 3:17-18
17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.

ISAIAH 27:12-13
12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

ISAIAH 11:12
12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

ISAIAH 63:16-19
16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.
17 O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
18 The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.
19 We are thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy name.

ZECHARIAH 10:6-10
6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.
7 And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.
8 I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.
9 And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.
10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them.

ACTS 26:6-7
6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:
7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

JAMES 1:1
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

WE SEE SACRIFICES FOR THE 12 TRIBES HERE IN EZRA

EZRA 6:16-17
16 And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy.
17 And offered at the dedication of this house of God an hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve he goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

EZRA 8:35
35 Also the children of those that had been carried away, which were come out of the captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the God of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he goats for a sin offering: all this was a burnt offering unto the LORD.

ISRAEL SHALL DWELL ALONE

NUMBERS 23:8-10
8 How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?
9 For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
10 Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel?

23 And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her.
24 And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid.
25 And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me?
26 And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.
27 Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.
28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
29 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.

THEN JACOB MOVES TO A NEW PLACE. HIS OWN COUNTRY.

GEN 30:25-43
25 And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country.
26 Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served thee, and let me go: for thou knowest my service which I have done thee.
27 And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favor in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.
28 And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it.
29 And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me.
30 For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?
31 And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep thy flock.
32 I will pass through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.
33 So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.
34 And Laban said, Behold, I would it might be according to thy word.
35 And he removed that day the he goats that were ring-streaked and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one that had some white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons.
36 And he set three days' journey betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks.
37 And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chestnut tree; and pilled white streaks in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.
38 And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.
39 And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ring-streaked, speckled, and spotted.
40 And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ring-streaked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle.
41 And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.
42 But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.
43 And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.

GEN 31:1-55 King James Bible
1 And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father's; and of that which was our father's hath he gotten all this glory.
2 And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as before.
3 And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.
4 And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field unto his flock,
5 And said unto them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me.
6 And ye know that with all my power I have served your father.
7 And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.
8 If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ring-streaked shall be thy hire; then bare all the cattle ring-streaked.
9 Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.
10 And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were ring-streaked, speckled, and grizzled.
11 And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: And I said, Here am I.
12 And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ring-streaked, speckled, and grizzled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.
13 I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.
14 And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house?
15 Are we not counted of him strangers? for he hath sold us, and hath quite devoured also our money.
16 For all the riches which God hath taken from our father, that is ours, and our children's: now then, whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do.
17 Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon camels;
18 And he carried away all his cattle, and all his goods which he had gotten, the cattle of his getting, which he had gotten in Padanaram, for to go to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan.
19 And Laban went to shear his sheep: and Rachel had stolen the images that were her father's.
20 And Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled.
21 So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and set his face toward the mount Gilead.
22 And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled.
23 And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days' journey; and they overtook him in the mount Gilead.
24 And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
25 Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the mount of Gilead.
26 And Laban said to Jacob, What hast thou done, that thou hast stolen away unawares to me, and carried away my daughters, as captives taken with the sword?
27 Wherefore didst thou flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and didst not tell me, that I might have sent thee away with mirth, and with songs, with tabret, and with harp?
28 And hast not suffered me to kiss my sons and my daughters? thou hast now done foolishly in so doing.
29 It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
30 And now, though thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father's house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen my gods?
31 And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said, Peradventure thou wouldest take by force thy daughters from me.
32 With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.
33 And Laban went into Jacob's tent, and into Leah's tent, and into the two maidservants' tents; but he found them not. Then went he out of Leah's tent, and entered into Rachel's tent.
34 Now Rachel had taken the images, and put them in the camel's furniture, and sat upon them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not.
35 And she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before thee; for the custom of women is upon me. And he searched but found not the images.
36 And Jacob was wroth, and chode with Laban: and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my trespass? what is my sin, that thou hast so hotly pursued after me?
37 Whereas thou hast searched all my stuff, what hast thou found of all thy household stuff? set it here before my brethren and thy brethren, that they may judge betwixt us both.
38 This twenty years have I been with thee; thy ewes and thy she goats have not cast their young, and the rams of thy flock have I not eaten.
39 That which was torn of beasts I brought not unto thee; I bare the loss of it; of my hand didst thou require it, whether stolen by day, or stolen by night.
40 Thus I was; in the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night; and my sleep departed from mine eyes.
41 Thus have I been twenty years in thy house; I served thee fourteen years for thy two daughters, and six years for thy cattle: and thou hast changed my wages ten times.
42 Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.
43 And Laban answered and said unto Jacob, These daughters are my daughters, and these children are my children, and these cattle are my cattle, and all that thou seest is mine: and what can I do this day unto these my daughters, or unto their children which they have born?
44 Now therefore come thou, let us make a covenant, I and thou; and let it be for a witness between me and thee.
45 And Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a pillar.
46 And Jacob said unto his brethren, Gather stones; and they took stones, and made an heap: and they did eat there upon the heap.
47 And Laban called it Jegarsahadutha: but Jacob called it Galeed.
48 And Laban said, This heap is a witness between me and thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;
49 And Mizpah; for he said, The LORD watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.
50 If thou shalt afflict my daughters, or if thou shalt take other wives beside my daughters, no man is with us; see, God is witness betwixt me and thee.
51 And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold this pillar, which I have cast betwixt me and thee:
52 This heap be witness, and this pillar be witness, that I will not pass over this heap to thee, and that thou shalt not pass over this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm.
53 The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge betwixt us. And Jacob sware by the fear of his father Isaac.
54 Then Jacob offered sacrifice upon the mount, and called his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat bread, and tarried all night in the mount.
55 And early in the morning Laban rose up, and kissed his sons and his daughters, and blessed them: and Laban departed, and returned unto his place.

GEN 32:1-32 King James Bible
1 And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.
2 And when Jacob saw them, he said, This is God's host: and he called the name of that place Mahanaim.
3 And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom.
4 And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak unto my lord Esau; Thy servant Jacob saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed there until now:
5 And I have oxen, and asses, flocks, and menservants, and womenservants: and I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in thy sight.
6 And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to thy brother Esau, and also he cometh to meet thee, and four hundred men with him.
7 Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands;
8 And said, If Esau come to the one company, and smite it, then the other company which is left shall escape.
9 And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee:
10 I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast showed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.
11 Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children.
12 And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
13 And he lodged there that same night; and took of that which came to his hand a present for Esau his brother;
14 Two hundred she goats, and twenty he goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams,
15 Thirty milch camels with their colts, forty kine, and ten bulls, twenty she asses, and ten foals.
16 And he delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by themselves; and said unto his servants, Pass over before me, and put a space betwixt drove and drove.
17 And he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my brother meeteth thee, and asketh thee, saying, Whose art thou? and whither goest thou? and whose are these before thee?
18 Then thou shalt say, They be thy servant Jacob's; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau: and, behold, also he is behind us.
19 And so commanded he the second, and the third, and all that followed the droves, saying, On this manner shall ye speak unto Esau, when ye find him.
20 And say ye moreover, Behold, thy servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his face; peradventure he will accept of me.
21 So went the present over before him: and himself lodged that night in the company.
22 And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two womenservants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok.
23 And he took them, and sent them over the brook, and sent over that he had.
24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.
30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
31 And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh.
32 Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank.

GEN 33:1-20 King James Bible
1 And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.
2 And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.
3 And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
4 And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
5 And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.
6 Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.
7 And Leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.
8 And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.
9 And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.
10 And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.
11 Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
12 And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.
13 And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.
14 Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.
15 And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.
16 So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.
17 And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
18 And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram; and pitched his tent before the city.
19 And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem's father, for an hundred pieces of money.
20 And he erected there an altar, and called it EleloheIsrael.

GEN 34:1-31 King James Bible
1 And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land.
2 And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her.
3 And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel.
4 And Shechem spake unto his father Hamor, saying, Get me this damsel to wife.
5 And Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter: now his sons were with his cattle in the field: and Jacob held his peace until they were come.
6 And Hamor the father of Shechem went out unto Jacob to commune with him.
7 And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it: and the men were grieved, and they were very wroth, because he had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob's daughter: which thing ought not to be done.
8 And Hamor communed with them, saying, The soul of my son Shechem longeth for your daughter: I pray you give her him to wife.
9 And make ye marriages with us, and give your daughters unto us, and take our daughters unto you.
10 And ye shall dwell with us: and the land shall be before you; dwell and trade ye therein, and get you possessions therein.
11 And Shechem said unto her father and unto her brethren, Let me find grace in your eyes, and what ye shall say unto me I will give.
12 Ask me never so much dowry and gift, and I will give according as ye shall say unto me: but give me the damsel to wife.
13 And the sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father deceitfully, and said, because he had defiled Dinah their sister:
14 And they said unto them, We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one that is uncircumcised; for that were a reproach unto us:
15 But in this will we consent unto you: If ye will be as we be, that every male of you be circumcised;
16 Then will we give our daughters unto you, and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people.
17 But if ye will not hearken unto us, to be circumcised; then will we take our daughter, and we will be gone.
18 And their words pleased Hamor, and Shechem Hamor's son.
19 And the young man deferred not to do the thing, because he had delight in Jacob's daughter: and he was more honorable than all the house of his father.
20 And Hamor and Shechem his son came unto the gate of their city, and communed with the men of their city, saying,
21 These men are peaceable with us; therefore let them dwell in the land, and trade therein; for the land, behold, it is large enough for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give them our daughters.
22 Only herein will the men consent unto us for to dwell with us, to be one people, if every male among us be circumcised, as they are circumcised.
23 Shall not their cattle and their substance and every beast of theirs be ours? only let us consent unto them, and they will dwell with us.
24 And unto Hamor and unto Shechem his son hearkened all that went out of the gate of his city; and every male was circumcised, all that went out of the gate of his city.
25 And it came to pass on the third day, when they were sore, that two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah's brethren, took each man his sword, and came upon the city boldly, and slew all the males.
26 And they slew Hamor and Shechem his son with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah out of Shechem's house, and went out.
27 The sons of Jacob came upon the slain, and spoiled the city, because they had defiled their sister.
28 They took their sheep, and their oxen, and their asses, and that which was in the city, and that which was in the field,
29 And all their wealth, and all their little ones, and their wives took they captive, and spoiled even all that was in the house.
30 And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I being few in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house.
31 And they said, Should he deal with our sister as with an harlot?

GEN 35:1-8 King James Bible
1 And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.
2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:
3 And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.
4 And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.
5 And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.
6 So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Bethel, he and all the people that were with him.
7 And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.
8 But Deborah Rebekah's nurse died, and she was buried beneath Bethel under an oak: and the name of it was called Allonbachuth.

GEN 35:9-29
9 And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padanaram, and blessed him.
10 And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.
11 And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;
12 And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land.
13 And God went up from him in the place where he talked with him.
14 And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.
15 And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Bethel.
16 And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labor.
17 And it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.
18 And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.
19 And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.
20 And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day.
21 And Israel journeyed, and spread his tent beyond the tower of Edar.
22 And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine: and Israel heard it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve:
23 The sons of Leah; Reuben, Jacob's firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun:
24 The sons of Rachel; Joseph, and Benjamin:
25 And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel's handmaid; Dan, and Naphtali:
26 And the sons of Zilpah, Leah's handmaid: Gad, and Asher: these are the sons of Jacob, which were born to him in Padanaram.
27 And Jacob came unto Isaac his father unto Mamre, unto the city of Arba, which is Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac sojourned.
28 And the days of Isaac were an hundred and fourscore years.
29 And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was gathered unto his people, being old and full of days: and his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.

BEFORE ISRAEL DIES HE GIVES LAST DAYS SIGNS OF THE 12 TRIBES.

Genesis 48 1:22 King James Bible
1 And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
2 And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.
3 And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,
4 And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.
5 And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.
6 And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.
7 And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Bethlehem.
8 And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who are these?
9 And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.
10 Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.
11 And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath showed me also thy seed.
12 And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.
13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him.
14 And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.
15 And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,
16 The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.
17 And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head.
18 And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.
19 And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.
20 And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.
21 And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.
22 Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.

GENESIS 49:1-33 King James Bible

GEN 49:3-4
3 Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.

SIMEON AND LEVI IN THE LAST DAYS

GEN 49:5-7
5 Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations.
6 O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honor, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their self-will they digged down a wall.
7 Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.

JUDAH IN THE LAST DAYS

GEN 49:8-12
8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.
9 Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
11 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:
12 His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.

DAN IN THE LAST DAYS

GEN 49:16-18
16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.

JOSEPH IN THE LAST DAYS

GEN 49:22-26
22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

GEN 49:27
27 Benjamin shall raven as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.

THE 12 TRIBES OF ISRAEL

GEN 49:28-33
28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.
29 And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
30 In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace.
31 There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.
32 The purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein was from the children of Heth.
33 And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people.

REVELATION 7:1-17 King James Bible
1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

12 TRIBES INHERIT LAND IN THE FUTURE

JEREMIAH 3:17-18

JOSEPH GETS 2 PORTIONS OF LAND

EZEK 47:13
13 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This shall be the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.
14 And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: concerning the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.
15 And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;
16 Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazarhatticon, which is by the coast of Hauran.
17 And the border from the sea shall be Hazarenan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side.
18 And the east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel by Jordan, from the border unto the east sea. And this is the east side.
19 And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.
20 The west side also shall be the great sea from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This is the west side.
21 So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Israel.
22 And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.
23 And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord GOD.

REVELATION 21:5-27
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

THE MANSION HOVERING ABOVE ISRAEL AND JERUSALEM, THIS NEW JERUSALEM IS AFTER THE 1,000 YEAR REIGN OF CHRIST FROM JERUSALEM.
THIS MANSION IS IN A CUBE OF 1,500 MILES LENGTH, BREADTH AND WIDTH WERE ALL THE CHRISTIANS WILL LIVE. NOW WE KNOW WHY JERUSALEM WILL BE THE WORLD CAPITAL FOREVER.

REV 21:15-27
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

IRAN BRAGS 3000 CENTRIFUGES

A MESSAGE OF HOPE FROM DR. JACK VAN IMPE NOV 7,07

The next event on God's prophetic clock is the Rapture, a word that is derived from the Latin word rapturo, meaning, a snatching away. The Rapture is that dramatic moment when the Lord Jesus Christ comes in clouds of glory to remove from this world all who have died in Christ along with the living from the Day of Pentecost until Christ comes to snatch His children upward and home in the twinkling of an eye. I Thessalonians 4:16-18 teaches: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. This event will occur at breakneck speed - in the twinkling of an eye. Scientists have measured the twinkling in a human being's eye, and it amounts to eleven-one hundredths of a second. Those left on the earth will not know what hit them. A business colleague will suddenly be gone. A schoolteacher will no longer stand before his or her desk as the chalk falls to the floor. A doctor will not show up for his rounds. There will be no nurses at many hospitals to administer medicine, take pulses, or follow doctors' orders. Dirty dishes will be left in the sink as a housewife disappears from the view of her stunned family. The Rapture will precipitate the greatest traffic jams in history as cars suddenly become driverless and pedestrians run for cover. It will be that moment in history, when, without warning, the Lord says, Come up hither (Revelation 4:1). It will be the greatest escape in the history of the world.

There are those who say that the pretribulational viewpoint began in 1830 and was propagated by Edward Irving, J. N. Darby, and Margaret McDonald, a retarded girl. But as we shall see, that is not so.St. Victorinus, the bishop of Pettau, wrote a commentary on the book of Revelation in AD 270. he said he saw another great and wonderful sign: Seven angels having the last seven plagues, for in them is completed the indignation of God. And these shall be in the last time when the church shall have gone out of the midst. St. Victorinus was talking about the Rapture. Here is more powerful documentation on a pretrib Rapture. The early Christian writer and poet Ephraem the Syrian (who lived from AD 306 to 373) was a major theologian of the early Byzantine Eastern Church. To this day, his hymns and homilies are used in the liturgy of the Greek Orthodox and Middle Eastern Nestorian Churches. He also wrote a large number of commentaries that have never been translated in English. Concerning a pretrib Rapture he stated: All the saints and Elect of God are gathered, prior to the tribulation that is to come, and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sins.

Thus, this teaching is not a present-day innovation but a doctrinal statement dating back seventeen centuries to St. Victorinus, and twenty centuries back to Jesus and Paul. However, there is more. In the sixteenth century there were also those who expressed absolute assurance of the Rapture. Hugh Latimer, burned at the stake for his faith in 1555, said, "It may come in my days, old as I am, or in my children's days, the saints shall be taken up to meet Christ in the air and so shall come down with him again." Joseph Mede, the great sixteenth-century literalist, understood I Thessalonians 4:13-18 to teach the catching up of the saints and even used the word Rapture. This was also 250 years before Irving, Darby, and McDonald. While the Rapture is not taught in Matthew, Mark, and Luke, you will find it mentioned twice in the Gospel of John. This is important to remember: Any other time you read about Christ's return in the Gospels, it is not referring to the Rapture. Instead, these are references to the second phase of Christ's return, when He physically comes back to earth to rule over the earth after a seven-year tribulation period.

Where are the two Rapture texts found in the Gospel of John? John 14:1-3: Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. This is not His coming to the earth, but a time when Jesus receives us unto Himself at the great Rapture - the snatching away - to be with Him in heaven as the seven years of torment play out their unbridled fury on the earth. The second reference to the Rapture is in John 11:25-26. I must confess that I quoted the passage for years and did not really understand it. Christ said: I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? Jesus is contrasting those who experience death and live again (the dead in Christ shall rise first I Thessalonians 4:16) with those who never experience death (because we which are alive and remain are caught up without dying, I Thessalonians 4:17).

In the upcoming weeks, we will direct our attention to those events that are leading up to the Rapture, the Rapture itself, and what happens once God's chosen are caught away to be with the Lord. The Rapture is not science fiction. It's a coming reality. The good news for the person who is prepared is - when the Rapture comes, believers will go home to be with the Lord and evade earth's horrendous seven years of Tribulation. The believer in the Lord Jesus Christ will, at long last, be the recipient of that blessed hope. There will be no more tears, no more suffering, and no more dying for those who have received their new, glorified bodies without sin or sickness for all eternity. It is from this perspective - the pretribulation point of view - that I approach this subject with godly reverence.

THE CARMEL ALERT
By David and Josie Silver

Israel is facing the most decisive 2 months of its modern history. If the proposed November peace summit comes to pass and the anti Israel plans of Bush & Rice are initiated, the country as we know it will be destroyed and the return of Yeshua to an undivided Jewish Jerusalem will be seriously delayed. As believers we are called to hasten the day of His return ( 2 Pet 3:12 ) by praying for the full restoration of Israel. Therefore until the November summit is cancelled or fails, I will be focusing on this issue in the Carmel Alert. Please follow these articles carefully and please pray fervently for the total cancellation / failure of the Bush / Rice initiative. - David

David's Comment: Why We Need to Pray for Cancellation of the Annapolis Summit
2 Peter 3:11-12 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat ? (NKJ)

Just in case any of our readers are not sure whether we should be praying to stop the planned Peace Summit in Annapolis, lets look at the issues involved.First of all we all want peace in the Middle East and everywhere else in the world. That is especially true for the Jewish people living in Israel. Having said that, we need to be very careful not to seek peace at the expense of God's plans and purposes. Ever since the Hippie revolution of the late 1960's peace has become a mantra, at least in the Western nations. Many of the people who ride the peace train, have very little, or no understanding of the reality of the circumstances behind the many conflicts that continue to cause violence, war and terrorism, causing so much pain, death and destruction all around the world.

When dealing with the likes of Islamic fundamentalists, intent on Israel's total destruction, peace can not be negotiated, but peace must be won and held by military force. The Israeli army is called the IDF - the Israel Defence Force, not the IAF - Israel Attack Force. It used to be that Israel's leaders were prepared to stand and defend the right of the Jewish people to live in the land that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob gave to Abraham in an everlasting blood sealed covenant. That does not seem to be true today. Since the return of the Sinai peninsular in 1975 Israel's leaders seemed to have lost the Zionistic spirit and are ready to give away God's land at the drop of a hat for the promise of peace. The latest and most tragic example was the Gaza withdrawal in 2005. The promised peace lasted for a very brief time, then the terrorists began to use the land that was handed over to launch daily barrages of rockets at Israeli towns. When dealing with the so called Palestinians, land for peace is nothing more than a one-sided Jewish dream.

Here are the reasons why I believe we need to pray the stop or bring about the failure of the Annapolis summit ....

1/ It is land that God promised to Abraham as an everlasting possession
2/ It is not any human beings land to give away - it is God's land
3/ The promised of peace is an empty one - the Muslims will just keep demanding more until there is no more Israel or make war to get their own way
4/ The return of the Messiah is absolutely dependant on the Jewish people living in Israel with Jerusalem as the undivided capital under full Jewish control
5/ True peace in the Middle East and elsewhere is only possible when the Prince of Peace returns to establish it
6/ We are commanded to pray for the peace of Jerusalem ( Psalm 122 ) and to give the Lord no rest until HE makes Jerusalem a praise in all of the Earth (Isaiah 62:6 & 7)
7/ If the Israeli government submits to the demands of Bush & Rice, there will be a bloodbath of IDF soldiers and Israeli citizens, and many will die on the other side too. ( more on the bloodbath next week )

SO if you really want to see true peace on this planet, then it is IMPERATIVE & URGENT to pray for the cancellation or total failure of the Annapolis Summit.

Here are some verses we recommend to pray - Psalm 83:1 - 18, Psalm 2:1 - 12,
and please pray for Israel to turn back to God Psalm 81:13 & 14, Jeremiah 4:1

The Lord bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel . Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray for our son Jordan, and all of his fellow soldiers in the IDF. EU to Add Nine Countries to Passport-Free Travel Zone (Update1) By James G. Neuger

Nov. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Nine mostly eastern European countries will join the European Union's passport-free travel zone in December, in the bloc's latest step to overcome the continent's divisions.
Car, train and boat passengers between the eastern countries and most of western Europe will no longer need to show passports as of Dec. 21, the EU said today. Passport checks on air passengers will cease when the summer flight schedule takes effect in March.

Praising tremendous efforts by the eastern countries, the EU said the member states concerned have on the whole shown that they are sufficiently prepared. EU interior ministers will finalize the decision at a Nov. 8 meeting in Brussels. The move expands the freedom to travel for 75 million citizens in eight former communist countries -- Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia -- and the Mediterranean island of Malta, which all joined the EU in 2004.
Eastern governments have spent millions of euros upgrading controls on frontiers with non-EU countries, answering western concerns that illegal immigrants and criminals would slip through porous borders. Thirteen other EU states plus non-EU members Norway and Iceland take part in the no-passport program. Cyprus, which also joined the EU in 2004, and non-member Switzerland are slated to be added in 2008. Travelers will still need to show passports when entering and leaving Britain, Ireland, Bulgaria and Romania. To contact the reporter on this story: James G. Neuger in Brussels at jneuger@bloomberg.net

THIS STORY IS IMPORTANT FOR WORLD GOVERNMENT REASONS SINCE THE EU CONTROLS ALL THE WORLD AND ALSO 13 MAIN COUNTRIES OF THE EU MUST HEAD THIS WORLD GOVERNMENT TILL THE DICTATOR COMES ON THE SCENE AND BOOTS OUT 3 COUNTRIES TO END UP AT 10 MAIN EU COUNTRIES.

EU should create part membership option, says Juncker
07.11.2007 - 09:24 CET | By Honor Mahony

Luxembourg prime minister Jean-Claude Juncker has suggested that EU member states should have the possibility to become just part members of the bloc.Speaking in Berlin on Tuesday (6 November), the veteran politician noted that without being fully conscious of the move, Britain is already moving towards this status. It must be possible not only to be a full member, said Mr Juncker, according to Austrian news agency APA.Without noticing it, the British are on their way to becoming part members, he noted, with London not taking part in the single European currency or the EU's borderless zone, the Schengen area, and lately having opted out of key areas in the new EU treaty, such as police and judicial cooperation in criminal matters.

Mr Juncker, who also heads the 13-nation eurozone, said that he believed the EU should develop a core of EU countries. Other countries who do not want to fully take part in all policies should be able to circle around this core and should be able to integrate to a greater or lesser extent in various areas. In his opinion, the EU is heading towards a crash if it does not develop in this way. This is not the first time that EU politicians have spoken about a core centre of countries that push ahead with integration leaving others to decide whether they want to join at a later date. The main idea has taken various names include two-speed Europe, multi-speed Europe, Europe à la carte, a Europe of variable geometry, a concentric Europe and a core Europe. However, in the past, ad hoc suggestions for greater co-operation among some countries have given rise to strong criticism with some member states fearing it will mean a directoire run by big states such as France and Germany, or that it would eventually lead to the break up of the EU.The new EU reform treaty, supposed to come into force by early 2009, contains the means for pro-integration states to move ahead however, so long as there is a minimum of nine states involved.

JAMES 5:1-3
1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

EZEKIEL 7:19

Stocks pull back as dollar stumbles By TIM PARADIS, AP Business Writer NOV 7,07

NEW YORK - Stocks fell sharply and bonds jumped Wednesday after the dollar sank further amid speculation that China will seek to diversify some of its foreign currency stockpiles beyond the greenback. The Dow Jones industrial average at times fell more than 150 points. Unease about the dollar dogged stock markets worldwide and in the U.S. comes a day after stocks continued their recent zigzagging to finish with sizable gains. The 13-nation euro hit a fresh record against the dollar — rising to $1.4729 — before falling back. The dollar fell not only against the euro but in Asia following a report that a senior Chinese political figure said China should diversify its $1.43-trillion foreign exchange reserves into the euro and other strong currencies. The euro's rally put it well above the $1.4554 the currency bought late Tuesday in New York. The previous record high, also set Tuesday, was $1.4571.The swooning dollar for a time sent oil above $98 per barrel and also pushed gold higher. In midmorning trading, the Dow fell 155.58, or 1.14 percent, to 13,505.36. On Tuesday, the Dow gained about 117 points as some investors looked to snap up bargains despite overhanging concerns about the banking industry's exposure to bad debt.Broader stock indicators also pulled back Wednesday. The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 19.41, or 1.28 percent, to 1,500.86, and the Nasdaq composite index fell 33.47, or 1.18 percent, to 2,791.71.

Government bonds jumped as the dollar sank. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note, which moves opposite the price, fell to 4.35 percent from 4.37 percent late Tuesday.Light, sweet crude rose 89 cents to $97.59 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Investors awaited a weekly goverment read on domestic inventories due Wednesday morning.

December gold surged $16.10 to $839.50 an ounce on the Nymex.

Economic data arriving Wednesday appeared to offer some upbeat news, although investors remained concerned about the faltering dollar and rising prices for oil and gold. The Labor Department reported that worker productivity surged at an annual rate of 4.9 percent in the summer, the fastest pace in four years, while wage pressures eased.Figures on U.S. wholesale inventories showed a greater-than-expected increase in September but that demand also held up.Some corporate news didn't offer Wall Street much reason for cheering. General Motors Corp. reported a $39 billion loss for the third quarter due to an accounting shift. The company warned late Tuesday it would book a $38.6 billion noncash charge largely related to establishing a valuation allowance. A valuation allowance is taken when the future benefit of the deferred tax assets is less likely to be realized.GM's loss came to $68.85 per share, compared with a loss of $147 million, or 26 cents per share, in the third quarter a year earlier. The stock fell $1.32, or 3.7 percent, to $34.84.In other corporate news, media conglomerate Time Warner Inc. posted a 53 percent decline in its third-quarter earnings from a year earlier when results benefited from tax and investment gains. Results from the parent of HBO, Warner Bros., Time Warner Cable and Time magazine were in line with estimates of analysts polled by Thomson Financial. The stock rose 10 cents to $18.43. Foster Wheeler Ltd. rose $11.21, or 8.3 percent, to $146.52 after the provider of engineering and construction services said growth abroad helped boost quarterly profits 70 percent.Fluor Corp., an engineering-services company, posted third-quarter profits and revenue that fell short of Wall Street's expectations amid an absence of lucrative goverment contracts that boosted results a year earlier. The stock fell $5.63, or 3.7 percent, to $148.19.Declining issues outnumbered advancers by about 5 to 1 on the New York Stock Exchange, where volume came to 360.2 million shares. The Russell 2000 index of smaller companies fell 13.40, or 1.67 percent, to 788.37. Overseas, Japan's Nikkei stock average closed down 0.94 percent. In afternoon trading, Britain's FTSE 100 fell 0.92 percent, Germany's DAX index fell 0.06 percent, and France's CAC-40 fell 0.53 percent. REVELATION 6:5-6
5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

Oil prices stall in climb toward $100 By JOHN WILEN, AP Business Writer NOV 7,07

NEW YORK - Oil prices stalled in their climb toward $100 a barrel Wednesday after a government report said oil inventories fell less than expected last week while refinery utilization remained flat.
Light, sweet crude for December delivery rose 19 cents to $96.89 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, but alternated between gains and losses. Before the report's release, prices rose as high as $98.62, a new record.December gasoline futures rose 0.35 cents to $2.4385 a gallon on the Nymex, but December heating oil futures fell 0.1 cent to $2.6068 a gallon. December natural gas futures fell 17.3 cents to $7.69 per 1,000 cubic feet.In London, December Brent crude rose $1.36 to $94.62 a barrel, supported by severe weather in the North Sea, which has shut down several oil platforms. At the pump, meanwhile, the national average price of a gallon of gas rose 1.9 cents overnight to $3.043, according to AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. Prices are up nearly 29 cents since mid-October and are 85 cents higher than a year ago.

The EIA reported Wednesday that crude supplies fell by 800,000 barrels during the week ended Nov. 2, half the 1.6 million barrel decline analysts surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires, on average, had expected. A larger than expected drop would most certainly have propelled oil past $100 a barrel for the first time.Supplies at the much-watched Nymex delivery terminal in Cushing, Okla., fell by 1.7 million barrels last week.Refinery utilization remained flat at 86.2 percent of capacity. China plans to launch space station Wed Nov 7, 5:47 AM ET

BEIJING - China said its lunar probe had entered its final orbit around the moon Wednesday, but an official backed away from reports of launching a space station by 2020. The probe — called Chang'e 1 after a mythical Chinese goddess who flew to the moon — made final adjustments at the end of a two-week journey and entered its final working orbit of 125 miles from the moon Wednesday where it will explore its surface for the next year.
The first photo of the moon should be sent back later this month, officials said. By early next year the probe will have measured the whole surface of the moon at least once, officials said.
China attaches great prestige to its ambitious space program, seeing it as a way to validate its claims to being one of the world's leading scientific nations. The country has sent astronauts into space twice in the past four years and launched its moon probe about a month after rival Japan. In 2003, China became only the third country in the world after the United States and Russia to send a human into orbit.

But officials denied state media reports Wednesday that China was planning a space station by 2020.So far, according to the plans already published, there are no plans for a space station, Li Guoping, spokesman of the China National Space Administration, said at a news conference. The China Daily newspaper, said China's planned space station would be a small-scale, 20-ton space workshop, quoting Long Lehao, a leading designer of the Long March 3A rocket that carried the Chang'e 1 into space.Chinese space officials have said previously they wanted to build a space station in the next 10 or 15 years, but the target date of 2020 was the first time a schedule has been made public, Long told China Daily. The report did not say how many people the station would be able to hold. But its weight is about one-tenth that of the International Space Station, which currently has six people on board. The probe's launch raised the prospect of a space rivalry between China and Japan, with India possibly joining in if it carries through on a plan to send its own lunar probe into space in April. But Chinese officials have played down talk of a space race, saying Beijing wanted to use its program to work with other countries.Li said China was willing to participate in the International Space station, joining the 16 countries involved.
China has not participated in the project in part because of U.S. unease about allowing a communist dictatorship a place aboard.

Hope grows for Mideast peace By PAUL HAVEN, Associated Press Writer Tue Nov 6, 7:36 PM ET

LISBON, Portugal - Israel's foreign minister said Tuesday that an upcoming peace conference in the United States offers a crucial opportunity for progress, amid growing optimism that this time — just maybe — momentum for peace is real and sustainable. But despite the signs of hope, a slew of obstacles remain: Syria may not come to the Annapolis, Md., meeting, Saudi Arabia has yet to endorse the emerging peace framework, and the Israeli, Palestinian and U.S. leaderships all find themselves in weakened political states.Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced Tuesday that the Annapolis conference would be during the last week of November, and that the Americans would issue the invitations in the coming days. Palestinian negotiator Ahmed Qureia said the conference would convene on Nov. 26, citing a date for the first time.

And in Portugal, Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni voiced unflinching support for the U.S.-backed road map for peace, which she called the only agreed plan in town — in the world. She praised the Palestinians for making the right steps on the ground, an apparent reference to security measures taken by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.Livni's comments came at the end of an EU-Mideast summit in the Portuguese capital, part of an intensified diplomatic push by Washington and the European Union to lay the groundwork for the Annapolis meeting.Livni said the U.S. peace talks — which are expected to bring together Israel, the Palestinians and other Middle Eastern powers — offered an important opportunity, but were just one more step on a long road.
We believe in the need to take this opportunity to find common ground with Palestinian leaders, she said. Annapolis is part of a process. ... No less important is the day after Annapolis.Livni said the Arab world must support the moderate Palestinians. We expect them to support the process, to support any compromise the Palestinians need to take in order to achieve peace with Israel, and not to dictate the outcome, she said.

That peace is even a possibility is nothing short of remarkable.

Olmert, who is battling corruption allegations and the fallout from Israel's less-than-successful summer 2006 war in Lebanon, has seen his popularity plummet; Abbas has been weakened by the Islamic hardline group Hamas' takeover of the Gaza Strip; and President Bush is in the twilight of an unpopular presidency.

Great things are seldom achieved by governments in such positions.

But optimists say the leaders' woes could actually be a boon to the process, with all three hoping to remake their legacies by bringing concrete results where those before them failed. With just a few weeks to go before the conference, much is left to be ironed out.Syria, which is among the countries likely to be invited, said it would attend only if discussions included the return of the Golan Heights, a strategic plateau Israel captured from Syria in the 1967 Middle East war and later annexed. The position has been rejected by Israel, even though a peace deal involving a return of the Golan was close in the 1990s.Saudi Arabia, a crucial powerbroker, has been reluctant to endorse the meeting until there are clear signs that major issues will be addressed seriously there.

And then there is the reality on the ground.

On Tuesday, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak expressed doubts about peace efforts while the Hamas militant group controls the Gaza Strip. Hamas — which has never retracted calls for Israel's destruction — overran the territory in June, routing troops loyal to Abbas. Barak said Israel could not begin implementing a peace agreement until Abbas disarmed Hamas in Gaza, a demand that could hamper peace efforts because Abbas has little control over Gaza.
Barak has been saying for weeks that it was only a matter of time before Israel launched a large-scale military incursion in Gaza, but on Tuesday said he did not want to jeopardize the Mideast conference, saying Israel had no plans to invade in the near future to halt rocket attacks out of the area on southern Israel.
Israel and the Palestinians are yet to agree on a written set of principles outlining a future peace agreement ahead of the conference, and negotiators say they have made little progress. The Palestinians want the document to address core issues in the conflict: future borders between Israel and a future Palestinian state, the status of disputed Jerusalem and the fate of Palestinian refugees and their descendants.

Israel wants a much vaguer document.

But Olmert has said he is prepared to discuss these issues after the conference — and he sounded determined to make progress in a speech this week in which he said that there is no reason to suffer the same foot-dragging which previously characterized our discussions. At the Lisbon gathering, European officials at the Lisbon gathering said that after years of false starts, they sensed things were different this time around. EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said there was a new hope, a new optimism about the prospects for peace, while Portuguese Foreign Minister Luis Amado said the talks in Lisbon revealed an enormous convergence of positions between the Israelis and Palestinians about how the negotiations are proceeding. Benita Ferrero-Waldner, the European Union's commissioner for external relations, told the closed-door meeting that she hoped the world was on the brink of making progress toward settling this terrible, long-standing conflict, according to a transcript of her remarks. She acknowledged that there was a long way to go before peace could be achieved, but added hopefully that an Asian proverb teaches that: A journey of one thousand miles begins with the first step. Associated Press writer Barry Hatton in Lisbon and Laurie Copans in Jerusalem contributed to this report.

Israel may become full OECD member within two years Sun Nov 4, 10:18 AM ET

JERUSALEM (AFP) - Israel could become a full member of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in less than two years, the OECD secretary general said Sunday. The membership process is under way. Things are going well and Israel could become a full member in under two years time, Angel Gurria told AFP.He was speaking at the end of a visit to Israel, where he attended Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's export and international cooperation conference in Tel Aviv last week.Israel already has observer status and takes full part in a series of working groups and OECD committees, the secretary general said.Gurria said discussions on full Israeli membership were taking place in good conditions but declined to specify on which points the two parties have yet to agree.

The OECD invited Israel, along with Chile, Estonia, Russia and Slovenia, to begin negotiations on membership in May.It has 30 member countries, including most of the developed world, and tries to coordinate economic policies among industrialised countries.
When founded in 1961, OECD membership represented 75 percent of global wealth. Today it accounts for 60 percent and efforts are being made to enlarge membership to incorporate rapidly growing economic powers.

Livni Chides Nations Who Link Progress with Conflict

(IsraelNN.com) Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni has chided European countries for linking economic cooperation with solution of the conflict with the Palestinian Authority (PA). Speaking on Tuesday to the European Union Euro-Mediterranean Ministerial Meeting of Foreign Affairs in Lisbon, she said not enough significant results have been achieved since Israel became a member of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership 12 years ago.We have not found full fledged partners to projects [because] unfortunately there are those who link the regional progress to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, and by so doing, prevent progress on the regional level, she added. The Foreign Minister explained that bilateral issues of environmental preservation and improving the quality of life should not be delayed because of the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Israeli warns Iran could have nukes soon Tue Nov 6, 8:43 AM ET

JERUSALEM - Iran could have nuclear weapons in two years if its nuclear ambitions are not curbed, a senior Israeli intelligence official said Tuesday. Maj. Gen. Yossi Baidatz, head of research for military intelligence, warned parliament's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that Iran was getting steadily closer to developing a weapon. If nothing stops Iran, the worst-case scenario is that by the end of 2009, Iran will have a nuclear weapon, a participant in the closed session quoted Baidatz as saying.Iran insists its nuclear program is peaceful, but the U.S. and others are skeptical. The program has especially rattled Israel because Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has repeatedly called for the Jewish state's destruction.Israel has mounted a diplomatic offensive to try to build international support for tougher U.N. sanctions aimed at pressuring Iran to abandon its nuclear program.

Israeli officials met with all permanent members of the U.N. Security Council last month to push for new sanctions. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert made a snap trip to Moscow followed by a trip to London and Paris. Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni made the case to officials in China. Russia and China, both veto-wielding permanent members of the Security Council, are at the forefront of resistance to new sanctions on Iran.

Iran's Boast: We Have 3,000 Active Uranium-Enriching Centrifuges by Hillel Fendel NOV 7,07

(IsraelNN.com) Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad bragged that his country's nuclear program is irreversible, in a nationally-televised speech on Wednesday.Today, we've reached 3,000 centrifuges, he said - two months after announcing that his country had more than 3,000 centrifuges working... with more being installed every week. Maariv's NRG website reports that the latest reference is to full-time activation of the centrifuges
Israel's mini-cabinet convened Wednesday morning to discuss the upcoming report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and how to counter it. The IAEA report is expected to conclude that diplomatic activity is still the strategy of choice to fight Iran's nuclear plans. If the IAEA so concludes, the UN Security Council is expected to wait over four months before imposing further sanctions on Iran. The eight members of the Israeli ministerial forum are attempting to formulate a campaign to convince the UN not to accept IAEA chief Mohammed El-Baradei's approach.

Minister of Strategic Threats Avigdor Lieberman (Yisrael Beiteinu/Israel Our Home) has said that Al-Baradei's approach arouses many question marks regarding his intentions and whether he truly desires to deal with Iran's race for nuclear armament. Foreign Ministry Director-General Aharon Abramovitch was more blunt: Instead of overseeing to ensure that Iran does not receive nuclear powers, he allows the Iranians to stall for time. Deep inside him, Al-Baradei identifies personally with the Iranians.
Lieberman says Israel has a variety of non-military options, such as using the internet, which is widely used in Iran, to appeal directly to the Iranian public to convince their leaders to stop before it is too late.Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni told Foreign Ministers from the European Union this week that tougher sanctions are necessary: The way to stop Iran is via stronger and more significant sanctions, seeing as we have not been able to stop them via diplomatic contacts.

Uranium Enrichment

Iran's centrifuges are used to enrich uranium, which can then, after further processing, provide material for nuclear bombs. The IAEA confirmed in August that Iran had 12 cascades of 164 centrifuges, for a total of 1,968, running simultaneously to enrich uranium, in addition to hundreds more under construction or being tested. They are located at an underground nuclear facility at Natanz in central Iran. Experts differ as to how close Iran actually is to full nuclear capabilities. Some Western experts say that 3,000 centrifuges operating at optimum conditions for a year could produce enough uranium for an atom bomb.

Western Sanctions

The U.S. has been pressuring other Western nations to impose a new round of sanctions against Iran. Ahmadinejad recently warned European countries not to do so. Just this week, German Chancellor Angela Merkel hinted that she would support tougher sanctions on Iran. Just days before she is to visit the U.S., Merkel told an audience in Berlin that she felt a moral duty to protect Israel and would stand firm in the face of Iran's nuclear ambitions and its threats to erase Israel.

Mexicans missing after flood, landslide By EDUARDO VERDUGO, Associated Press Writer Tue Nov 6, 6:28 AM ET

OSTUACAN, Mexico - Survivors saw relatives swept away by huge waves or buried by debris after a landslide hit a rain-swollen river, triggering what officials called a mini-tsunami that wiped a hamlet off the map and left at least 16 people missing.
Residents of San Juan Grijalva told The Associated Press on Monday they had been awakened by a rumbling roar and the sound of rocks rolling down from surrounding mountaintops on Sunday night, almost a week after massive flooding sent rivers over their banks in the southern Mexican states of Chiapas and neighboring Tabasco. It was a roar, like a helicopter was passing overhead, recounted farmer Domingo Sanchez, 21. We didn't know what was happening, and then we went outside, and there were cracks opening the earth, he said, apparently recounting the initial collapse of a nearby hillside into the river. We ran up the hill ... but soil kept coming down on us.

For the next several hours, Sanchez, his mother, his wife and a cousin fought for their lives in a valley where the only salvation lay in getting to higher ground.Sanchez reached a hilltop just in time to look across the valley and see a landslide cover the home of his grandparents. He believes at least nine of his relatives were buried.San Juan Grijalva, 45 miles southwest of Villahermosa, is near the border of heavily flooded Tabasco state and linked to the same river systems. The landslide was the latest damage caused by a week of flooding and heavy rains that has left 80 percent of Tabasco under water, destroying or damaging the homes of about half a million people. At least 20,000 people remain trapped on rooftops across the state.David Sanchez, 22, a cousin of Domingo, described the events he saw from his house in a different part of the village that once was home to about 600 people.David Sanchez described two distinct waves — the first of which swept his mother about 200 yards downstream before he could rescue her. It was an irresistible wave, he said, describing the water pushed down from the initial impact of the landslide. After climbing up a hillside to safety, in a moment of calm he and three friends briefly descended to rescue some possessions when the second wave — apparently the release of water briefly dammed up by the landslide — swept down the valley. It swept away everything, trees, houses, everything, David Sanchez said.

Chiapas state Gov. Juan Sabines, who visited the scene, described one of the waves as a mini-tsunami and noted this village practically disappeared.Helicopters searched the surrounding hills to rescue residents who fled to higher ground.Chiapas officials and the federal Interior Department said 16 were missing. No bodies were immediately found. On Monday, in the Tabasco state capital of Villahermosa, officials readied huge pumps to suck water from the inundated streets while rescuers struggled to reach thousands still stranded days after one of the worst floods in Mexico's history.President Bush shared his sympathy over the floods and suffering Monday with Mexican President Felipe Calderon.
U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Tony Garza said the U.S. had pledged $300,000 in emergency assistance to Tabasco and Chiapas.Americans know only too well the horrible impact of such natural disasters on the lives of individuals and communities, and we are anxious to join the international community in providing assistance to our neighbors, Garza said. After Hurricane Katrina struck the U.S. in 2005, Mexico sent a convoy of about 200 unarmed soldiers and medical personnel across the border with portable kitchens and water treatment equipment to aid recovery efforts. Officials also saw some signs of hope as the Grijalva and Carrizal rivers, which had risen as much as six feet above normal levels, began to subside slightly Monday, as did storm tides in the Gulf of Mexico.
But tens of thousands of hungry and sick storm victims still awaited food and aid. Associated Press writer Manuel de la Cruz contributed to this report from Candelaria, Mexico.

Power crews resume work in storm-hit areas
Tue Nov 6, 9:22 AM

Nova Scotia Power expects to reconnect almost all of its customers who lost power in the weekend storm by late Tuesday.About 9,000 homes and businesses were still without electricity Tuesday morning, down from 170,000 early Sunday, when the high winds and heavy rain were at their peak.We expect that we will be restoring power to most of those customers today. There may be some isolated cases where there is extreme damage or more remote areas where it will take into Wednesday, said utility spokeswoman Margaret Murphy.

The outages continue in Pictou, Colchester and Guysborough counties, Cape Breton Island, as well as outlying areas of the Halifax Regional Municipality.Murphy said 250 crews would be out again Tuesday to fix downed power lines, which she said is a particularly difficult job in areas with many toppled trees. In Baddeck, the golf course there had 150 trees down, she said. The remnants of Hurricane Noel brought winds gusting up to 135 km/h and up to 130 millimetres of rain in some areas when it rolled into Nova Scotia early Sunday. Some roads were washed out and several buildings were damaged.

Floods hit Somalia, thousands flee
Tue Nov 6, 9:36 AM

MOGADISHU (AFP) - Hundreds of families were fleeing their homes in Somalia's southern region of Lower Shabelle, where floods swept villages and destroyed crops, residents and witnesses said Tuesday.
Local elder Abdi Omar Hirabe said floods engulfed the villages of War Gedow, Malable and Dolo Dhere, about 60 kilometres (40 miles) south of the war-torn capital Mogadishu. The floods destroyed about 12 square kilometres (3,000 acres) of farmland, the elder told AFP. Everybody fled to safer aareas with very minimal food. We have counted around 120 families who left War Gedow alone.Another local elder, Aw Gadudow, said that movements were greatly restricted in the area and that some families were trapped by the floods. You can see them walk in the water with their children on their head, he said.

The latest floods in a region known as Somalia's breadbasket will only compound what is already described as one of the world's worst humanitarian crises.Towns outside Mogadishu are already overwhelmed by tens of thousands of people who have fled fighting in the capital between Ethiopian-backed government forces and the Islamist-led insurgency. In addition, the fertile Shabelle region has been experiencing its worst cropping seasons in 13 years. In a statement issued Monday, the UN's Food and Agriculture Organisation said that the current cereal production season in southern Somalia was only 31 percent of the of the 1995 to 2006 post-war average. The violence of the combats in Mogadishu has greatly impeded humanitarian assistance to the Horn of Africa country, which has been plagued by civil conflict since the 1991 ouster of Mohamed Said Barre.

Pope Meets a Saudi King for First Time
Nov 6 11:25 AM US/Eastern By VICTOR L. SIMPSON
Associated Press Writer

VATICAN CITY (AP) - Benedict XVI raised concerns about restrictions on Christian worship in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday in the first meeting ever between a pope and a reigning Saudi king.
Benedict and other Vatican officials have often protested that Christians are unable to worship openly in Saudi Arabia and are barred from opening churches in the desert kingdom where Islam's holiest sites, Mecca and Medina, are located. King Abdullah, the protector of the holy sites, requested the audience during his European tour, the Vatican said. Benedict warmly greeted the king, grasping both his hands before heading into 30 minutes of private talks in his library. At the end of the meeting, Abdullah presented Benedict with a traditional Middle Eastern gift—a golden sword studded with jewels—as well as a gold and silver statue of a palm tree and man riding a camel. The pope admired the statue but merely touched the sword. Islam is the official religion of Saudi Arabia and the kingdom requires all Saudi citizens to be Muslims. Only Muslims can visit the cities of Mecca and Medina.

Under the authoritarian rule of the royal family, the kingdom enforces strict Sharia, or Islamic law. It follows a severe interpretation of Islam known as Wahhabism which rejects the possibility of diplomatic relations with a Christian entity. This interpretation would prohibit a Vatican embassy in Saudi Arabia on the grounds it would be equivalent to raising the cross inside the site of Islam's holiest places. It is forbidden to practice Christianity publicly inside Saudi Arabia, and it is illegal to bring symbols from religions other than Islam into the country. Bibles and crosses, for instance, are confiscated at the border.
Some Christian worship services are held secretly, but the government has been known to crack down on them, or deport workers from the Philippines if they are known to hold even private services. The United States has also criticized Saudi Arabia's restrictions on other religions. The Vatican has said it wants to pursue a dialogue with moderate Muslims after the pope angered the Muslim world in 2006 with a speech linking Islam to violence.

He later said he was misunderstood and regretted offending Muslims. He has since met a number of Islamic leaders and a year ago visited predominantly Muslim Turkey. The Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano said the Vatican hoped the meeting with the Saudi king would produce a frank dialogue on Christian worship in the country, noting that there are more than 1 million Christian guest workers in Saudi Arabia. The Vatican said the positive presence and work of Christians was raised during the talks. The talks were warm and allowed a wide discussion on the need for interreligious and intercultural dialogue among Christians, Muslims and Jews for the promotion of peace, justice and spiritual and moral values, especially in support of the family, a statement said. Benedict has said he wants to reach out to all countries that still do not have diplomatic relations with the Vatican, which include Saudi Arabia and China. Abdullah had visited the Vatican twice before, as crown prince and deputy prime minister.

Oil hits $97 on bombs, demand prediction By JOHN WILEN, AP Business Writer NOV 6,07

NEW YORK - Oil futures jumped to a new record above $97 a barrel Tuesday after bombings in Afghanistan and an attack on a Yemeni oil pipeline compounded the supply concerns that have driven crude prices higher in recent weeks. Those concerns were further fed by a government prediction on Tuesday that domestic oil inventories will fall further this year while consumption rises.Oil was already up before news of the blasts in northern Afghanistan that killed 64 people and the attack in Yemen. Severe weather forecasts for the North Sea, expectations that domestic crude supplies fell last week and the weak dollar all contributed to the latest move upward. While Afghanistan doesn't produce much oil, traders watch for the possibility that any escalation in the conflict there between U.S. armed forces and Islamic militants could spill over into other countries, disrupting oil supplies out of the Middle East.John Kilduff, vice president of risk management at MF Global UK Ltd., noted that the attack in Yemen has disrupted a pipeline that carries 155,000 barrels a day of crude.

Meanwhile, investors believe crude supplies are declining in the U.S. Analysts surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires predict, on average, that crude oil inventories fell by 1.6 million barrels last week. The Energy Department's Energy Information Administration will issue its weekly inventory report on Wednesday. Oil futures' rise above $90 a barrel has been fueled in part by two weeks of unexpected declines in inventories. On Tuesday, the EIA predicted oil consumption will rise in the fourth quarter and next year despite higher prices, and that inventories will fall.Strong demand, limited surplus capacity, falling inventories and geopolitical concerns continue to weigh on the market, the EIA said in its monthly Short-Term Energy Outlook. The weak dollar, which fell to a new low against the euro Tuesday, is also lifting oil prices. Oil futures offer a hedge against a weak dollar, and oil futures bought and sold in dollars are more attractive to foreign investors when the greenback is falling.Light, sweet crude for December delivery rose $2.63 to $96.61 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange Tuesday after earlier rising as high as $97.07, a new trading record.Other energy futures also rose Tuesday. December gasoline futures jumped 5.52 cents to $2.4363 a gallon on the Nymex, while December heating oil futures added 6.46 cents to $2.6085 a gallon.Natural gas for December delivery fell 13.8 cents to $7.861 per 1,000 cubic feet on the Nymex on predictions for mild temperatures next week in the Midwest and Northeast, and expectations that inventories, already at record levels, will continue to rise.

In London, Brent crude rose $2.59 to $93.08 a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange. A number of North Sea oil platforms were being evacuated Tuesday in advance of expected severe weather. At the pump, meanwhile, gas prices continued to rise, following oil's 39 percent price jump since August. The national average price of a gallon of gas jumped 2 cents overnight to $3.024 a gallon, according to AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.Separately, the EIA reported that diesel fuel prices reached a national average of $3.303 a gallon, a new record. On Wednesday, analysts also expect the EIA to report that gasoline inventories rose by 200,000 barrels during the week ended Nov. 2, while supplies of distillates, which include heating oil and diesel fuel, fell by 500,000 barrels. The analysts expect that refinery use grew by 0.8 percentage point to 87 percent of capacity.Oil inventories likely fell due to a suspension of output at Mexico's state oil company Petroleos Mexicanos, a major crude exporter to the United States, which temporarily shut its ports last week due to severe weather.

The oil market is really supported by the tight inventories in the U.S. market and the general expectations for the inventory report this week are that the crude inventories will likely fall, said Victor Shum of Purvin & Gertz Inc. in Singapore. Crude prices are within the range of inflation-adjusted highs set in early 1980. Depending on the how the adjustment is calculated, $38 a barrel then would be worth $96 to $103 or more today. Why Egypt wants nuclear energy
By Marwan Kabalan, Special to Gulf News
Published: November 06, 2007, 01:20

In a speech before the annual meeting of the ruling National Democratic Party (NDP), Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak stated last week that his country would start building several nuclear power plants in the coming years. To assure critics, Mubarak said that the aim of the programme was to diversify Egypt's energy resources and preserve its oil and gas reserves for future generations. He also pledged that his country would work with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and would not seek nuclear weapons.Mubarak's announcement is meant to serve different purposes. Domestically, it was considered as a father's response to his son's call to restart Egypt's nuclear programme. Speaking at the NDP's annual conference on September 19, 2006, Jamal Mubarak said that he thought the time had come for Egypt to harness nuclear energy.

The whole world - I don't want to say all, but many developing countries, he said, "have proposed and started to execute the issue of alternative energy. It is time for Egypt to put forth, and the party will put forth, this proposal for discussion about its future energy policies, the issue of alternative energy, including nuclear energy, as one of the alternatives. In recent years Jamal has become a key policymaker in Egypt. He currently heads the NDP's powerful policies secretariat. At the time, his call for reviving his country's nuclear programme was meant to play music to the ears of the domestic public opinion. He was chosen to make it in order to rally support around him as a possible successor to his father by touching on an issue that is considered by most Egyptians as a matter of national pride. The elder Mubarak's recent pledge about resuming Egypt's nuclear programme is widely associated with his attempt to hand over the country's top job to his son. Amidst speculation that the 78-year-old Mubarak might not serve his full six-year mandate - started in 2005 - questions are raised about the timing of his emphasis on possessing nuclear energy.

In regional context, Mubarak's announcement came amidst rising tension over Iran's nuclear programme, which is believed to have been designed to produce nuclear weapons. Reviving Egypt's nuclear programme, notwithstanding its peaceful nature, is meant to suggest that the Arab world would not stand idle watching Iran and Israel possessing nuclear power. In his speech Mubarak made clear that there were strategic reasons for the programme, considering it as an integral part of Egypt's national security interest.

Regional influence

In fact, Iran's programme has prompted a slew of Middle East countries to announce plans of their own - in part simply to counteract Tehran's rising regional influence.Jordan, Turkey and several Gulf Arab states have announced in recent months that they are interested in developing nuclear power programmes. Last September, Yemen signed a deal with a US company to build civilian nuclear plants over the next 10 years. Algeria also signed a cooperation accord with the US on civil nuclear energy last June, and Morocco announced a deal last week under which France will help develop nuclear reactors there. These countries' quest for nuclear energy has put pressure on Egypt to seek it own, being the largest and the strongest Arab country.Israel remains, of course, the only nuclear power in the Middle East and by far the largest threat to the region's security with more than 200 nuclear war heads. Following a policy it calls nuclear ambiguity, Israel has never confirmed nor denied having a nuclear weapons programme itself. Yet, Mordechai Vanunu, a former technician at an Israeli nuclear plant, spent 18 years in prison after giving details of the country's atomic programme to a British newspaper in 1986. His information confirmed fears that Israel has the world's sixth-largest stockpile of nuclear weapons.Egypt has repeatedly complained about Israel's refusal to join the International Atomic Energy Agency's Non-Proliferation Treaty. Because of its ambiguity, Israel's nuclear installations are not subject to international inspection; a situation Egypt believes could lead to an arms race that would jeopardise security and stability of the region. For all these reasons Egypt seeks to restart its nuclear programme that was publicly shelved in the aftermath of the 1986 accident at the Soviet nuclear plant in Chernobyl.Dr Marwan Al Kabalan is a lecturer in media and international relations, Faculty of Political Science and Media, Damascus University, Syria.

Olmert: Summit set for November's end By LAURIE COPANS, Associated Press Writer NOV 6,07

JERUSALEM - Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Tuesday that a U.S.-sponsored Mideast peace conference would take place in the last week of November, and he expected invitations to be issued in the coming days.Olmert's announcement was the closest any official has come to giving a firm date for the gathering and signaled new momentum in preparations following a visit this week by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. During her trip, Rice said she was encouraged by her latest meetings with Israeli and Palestinian leaders.I assume the Americans will issue the invitations in the coming days and coordinate the exact date in the last week of November, Olmert told a news conference. Previously, U.S. officials have only said the meeting would take place by the end of the year in Annapolis, Md.Syria, which is among the countries invited, said it would attend if discussions included the return of the Golan Heights, a strategic plateau Israel captured from Syria in the 1967 Middle East war and later annexed.

We have occupied lands — and that is the Golan Heights — for Syria to attend any such meeting requires that the Golan Heights issue is clearly on the agenda, Syrian Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Dardari told The Associated Press in London, where he is attending a banking conference.Rice and Olmert said Sunday they wanted Syria to participate — but that the conference must focus on the Palestinians and not Syria's grievances.President Bush announced plans for the conference in July, but officials have not announced a date because of continuing disagreements between Israel and the Palestinians over the agenda and questions about who will attend.
The U.S. has set high expectations for the summit, saying it hopes to launch full peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians after a seven-year lull.U.S. officials also hope a number of Arab countries that do not have relations with Israel, including Saudi Arabia, would attend. Arab countries have said they would only attend if there were guarantees of firm progress.Israel and the Palestinians have been trying to agree on a written set of principles outlining a future peace agreement ahead of the conference, but negotiators say they have made little progress.

The Palestinians want the document to address core issues in the conflict: future borders between Israel and a future Palestinian state, the status of disputed Jerusalem and the fate of Palestinian refugees. Israel wants a much vaguer document, though Olmert has said he is prepared to discuss these issues after the conference. The core issues have scuttled past peace talks, and members of Olmert's ruling coalition have threatened to bring down the government if he goes too far with concessions. In Portugal, Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni called the U.S.-backed road map for peace the only agreed plan in town — in the world. She praised the Palestinians for making the right steps on the ground, an apparent reference to security measures taken by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.Associated Press writer D'Arcy Doran contributed to this report from London.

JERUSALEM DIVIDED

ZECHARIAH 12:1-5 King James Bible
1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

JOEL 3:2
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

ZECHARIAH 14:1-9 King James Bible
1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Israel puts Jerusalem on the negotiating table By Ilene R. Prusher Tue Nov 6, 3:00 AM ET

Jerusalem - As she visits the Middle East this week, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is pressing Israeli and Palestinian leaders to commit to confidence-building measures and a timetable ahead of an upcoming US-sponsored peace conference in Annapolis, Md. Israel has resisted a timetable, but Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said in a major speech Sunday night that he is ready to begin accelerated peace talks – even on final-status issues such as Jerusalem.Mr. Olmert's statement reiterated recent remarks by Israel's deputy prime minister indicating that Israel must be prepared to discuss giving up parts of Jerusalem – potentially dividing the city – in upcoming negotiations with the Palestinians.

It is in Israel's interest that all the Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem receive international recognition and that Arab neighborhoods like Walajeh and Shuafat are transferred to the Palestinians, Haim Ramon, the vice premier, told cabinet members last month.Whether intended as a trial balloon or as a genuine attempt to get Israelis accustomed to the idea of turning Arab neighborhoods over to Palestinian control, the message sent shock waves through both Israeli and Palestinian society.

Many Palestinian residents opposed

Those feeling skittish about the city's potential partition aren't just Israelis – who traditionally take the position that Jerusalem should be Israel's united capital – but also Palestinian Jerusalemites, who fear that their standard of living will fall if they come under the control of the Palestinian Authority (PA).I don't want to have any part in the PA. I want the health insurance, the schools, all the things we get by living here, says Ranya Mohammed as she does her afternoon shopping in Shuafat.I'll go and live in Israel before I'll stay here and live under the PA, even if it means taking an Israeli passport, says Mrs. Mohammed, whose husband earns a good living from doing business here. I have seen their suffering in the PA. We have a lot of privileges I'm not ready to give up.Nabil Gheet, a neighborhood leader who runs a gift and kitchenware outfit in the adjacent town of Ras Khamis, also resists coming under the PA's control. We have no faith in the Palestinian Authority. It has no credibility, he says, as his afternoon customers trickle in and out. I do not want to be ruled by Abbas's gang, he says, referring to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

The road to reconciliation

Such sentiments are fraught with complications. On the one hand, Palestinians say that there can be no peace with Israel until the creation of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital – suggesting that there is no road to reconciliation without some kind of redivision of the city. On the other, Palestinians who live in Jerusalem have enjoyed most of the benefits of Israel citizenship for the past 40 years – healthcare, national insurance, universal education, and other social services – and don't want to forfeit them. Moreover, many fear that a ceding of their neighborhoods to the PA will cut off access to Jerusalem.
Meron Benvenisti, a historian and former deputy mayor of Jerusalem, says that denying Palestinians, most of whom hold Israeli-issued permanent residency cards, the right to live in Israeli Jerusalem might be illegal. It'd be the equivalent, he says, of stripping people of their citizenship en masse. You can't just decide to cut off people. It's like cutting off parts of a living organism. Secondly, it's immoral, because you've told people this is their lot in life decades ago, and they got used to it, says Mr. Benvenisti, author of several books on Jerusalem. This is especially so when there's no Palestinian state on the other side of the border. One day you're part of Jerusalem, and the next day you're part of – what? You can't make them residents and then suddenly revoke their status. How will they get from here to there? Who will be their policemen? The specific complications he raises are just a few of the questions that Israeli and Palestinian negotiators face as they try to reach some kind of declaration of principles that they can bring to Annapolis, where the US plans to host an international peace summit before the new year.

Jerusalem's recent history

Israel conquered East Jerusalem in the 1967 Six-Day War, and while Israel officially annexed the territory, it is considered occupied by Palestinians and much of the international community. The creation of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is a cornerstone of the Palestinian national movement. In kind, keeping Jerusalem an undivided city has long been a key facet of most mainstream Israel political parties' platforms.Throughout the 1980s, Israel continued to expand the Jerusalem envelope, as it is dubbed, building several large Jewish neighborhoods wedged between existing Palestinian ones. The prevalent Israeli theory at the time was that this would strengthen Jerusalem and prevent the redivision of the city. Over the past five years, Israel has been building the controversial separation wall, which also comes into play: some of the negotiable neighborhoods in question are on the Israeli side of the wall. Some Jerusalem residents already have to pass through the wall and its many checkpoints to get to jobs and schools.

Key issue in negotiations

Today, Israelis' fears for the future of the city run the gamut, from maintaining safe access to holy sites and security for residents of the Jewish quarter to worries that a redivision of the city could put downtown Jerusalem neighborhoods in the range of Palestinian militants' rockets. [Editor's note: The original version incorrectly stated the status of the West Bank.] Still, a key part of the drive for Israeli-Palestinian détente is to find an equitable solution for Jerusalem. In a poll issued last year by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research in Ramallah, 39 percent of Palestinians supported and 59 percent opposed a compromise in which East Jerusalem would become the capital of the Palestinian state, with Arab neighborhoods coming under Palestinian sovereignty and Jewish neighborhoods coming under Israeli sovereignty. Among Israelis, the survey noted, about 38 percent would agree and 60 percent would disagree with such an arrangement. Indeed, the traditional red lines in the Jerusalem debate are shifting a bit. One of the most right-wing members of the Israeli cabinet, Strategic Affairs minister Avigdor Lieberman, said he will not oppose a plan to turn some Arab neighborhoods over to the control of the PA. But he also warned this week that he will withdraw his party from Olmert's government, denying it a majority, unless there is a complete end to all Palestinian terrorist activities" before the start of the Annapolis summit.

Secret talks reportedly yield agreement

The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that two veterans in Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking, Yossi Beilin and Yasser Abed Rabbo, have been meeting secretly and have reached a document agreeable to both sides that lays out possible solutions to the conflict. In it, Palestinians showed a willingness to be flexible on their historic claim to a right of return to houses that are now inside Israel proper, accepting instead a mixed solution that would include some refugees returning to the Palestinian state-to-be, some to Israel, and many other to be resettled in third countries. Israel's outlook showed a willingness to accept the concept to returning to the 1967 borders by doing land swaps, meaning that it would annex settlement blocks but give the Palestinians a tract of land of the same size elsewhere. Neither side was willing to comment on the report.
